20 Best Exfoliator For Ingrown Hairs (2023 Updated)

I don’t really know how I feel about this one! I’ve been using it now for awhile after getting it on sale at ULTA. The description/instructions basically say it’s for like pre hair removal or pre wax.

It says to use it at least 24 -48 hours BEFORE hair removal. I’ve experimented with it. I’ve used it just as the instructions say, I’ve used it immediately before. The thing is. well there’s a few things 1.

The scent is terrible. in fact there’s no scent at all. It’s just a weird soapy but chemical scent, so it’s not your normal tree hut smell good scrub. Not at all. 2. There really isn’t much exfoliation in it.

When I use it I don’t feel like it’s necessarily doing much for me. I was really looking for an exfoliating scrub like as mentioned Tree hut or the Dove body scrubs, but I thought I would try this as it was called “no bumps” but I think this is more for just one specific thing and that’s using it if you are going to be waxed.

Unfortunately I can’t confirm or deny what it does if you are using it in that exact way and how the instructions advise because I’m not getting waxed so I haven’t ever tested it, but I think maybe the beads in this and the formula might be made for that sort of thing specifically.

If you are looking for a very exfoliating body scrub to remove dead skin for pre tan or anything like that then this wouldn’t be the one to choose.

Why didn’t I find this product sooner?! This works great! I exfoliate with it every 3-4 days. In between, I use a glycolic acid toner which helps as well. This is used on my underarms and bikini line.

The gel scrub is nice and cooling and the beads help to exfoliate dead skin cells away and prevent ingrowns. I am sad that I didn’t find this product sooner. A little goes a long way, just make sure to nicely scrub in circular motions when exfoliating.

I use a soft bristle brush.

I always suffered with bumps, ingrown hairs, KP on my upper thighs, top of my arm and sometimes bottom of my leg. I have been using the soap and glory scrub of your life for years and it saved my skin.

Its like a magic eraser. I wanted to try something different and this gave me an illergic reaction. If you have sensitive skin like me, it made me red and get itchy hives.

I was pretty excited to try the product, not gonna lie, as I have dealt with ingrown hairs for a WHILE. And I’m talking stubborn and thick ones. I’ve tried a bunch of different things but aside from just devoting the time to sit and pick out each individual hair with some tweezers, not much aids in the department of their removal.

I have used several First Aid beauty products and I was excited when these pads came out, as this seemed like the perfect product for me. I followed the instructions on the back and after shaving a patting down my legs, proceeded to use the small round and moist pads.

They made my legs very shiny! This soon gave way to a mild burning sensation. And after it had fully dried I applied lotion. Now, I don’t know about you, but I tend to believe that a moderate burning means that whatever I have applied is working or doing something.

Otherwise, why the pain, right? I can sufficiently attest that after 4 uses of these pads (4 different showers over the past week), I have experienced no significant change in the state of my ingrown hairs.

Tis unfortunate, I really wanted these to be a new part of my routine. But hey, for the few second my legs were moist with whatever the solution is, they were quite lovely!.

Complimentary from First Aid Beauty Unfortunately for me, I am prone to little red bumps & occasional ingrown hair post shaving which no matter how much I manually exfoliate, it still happens & more so on the legs.

These Ingrown Hair Pads have actually been a little saviour. I haven’t been using them too long but have already noticed a difference. There is a very subtle scent but it isn’t offensive. Feels actually quite nice on the skin and quick & easy to use.

It was even gentle enough to use on the more intimate & delicate areas without causing any irritations. One thing I will say is ensure SPF is used next day on sun exposed skin due to the AHA & BHA in the product.

I haven’t had any issues with these but it is something worth noting. The only down point is the number of pads per price point but this is a bit more of a upper market brand so it is to be expected & if they continue to work as well for me as it is now, I will more than likely repurchase anyway.

This is by far the best product I have ever used for ingrown hairs. Over the last few years I get horrific ingrown cystic hairs in my armpits after shaving. After numerous deodorant switches, razor changes, shaving creams, exfoliators, etc.

nothing seemed to remedy the issue. I have used a few other alcohol based products to help with the ingrown hairs but they sting and dry my underarms out. These pads changed my life! When I tell you I have not one ingrown hair after shaving, I am being truthful.

I go around the directions and use a pad directly after shaving before putting on deodorant and I have no irritation until I shave again! I also used around my bikini area where I get ingrown hairs and it worked like magic.

I have only experienced a minor tingle over nicks, no burning when using! Sure you only get 28 pads for the price-point but you can really use one pad for multiple areas. Just buy it!.

Two years ago I made the switch to traditional wet shaving and ditched cartridge razors. I had lots of issues with ingrown hairs when I used cartridges and I have fairly coarse curly facial hair that even using safety razors and quality shaving soaps and creams, I still get them from time to time.

I always reach for this product if I developed any ingrowns or need a spot treatment for irritation on the sensitive areas on my neck or jawline – I notice an improvement over as little as 2 applications and improved skin condition overall with quicker healing time and a reduction in hyperpigmentation/redness in the affected areas.

While it is alcohol based, I don’t find it to dry out my skin most likely due to the host of skin foods included – I do follow up with a balm or moisturizer as recommended anyways for an excellent post-shave remedy for those times you have ingrowns.

Another positive is it has a pleasant scent that dissipates quickly so it won’t clash with other post-shave scents or a cologne. It is not cheap, but my bottle has lasted me over a year so used sparingly for spot treatments it is a decent value.

I bought this product a little while ago and have been using it for ingrown hairs on my legs. It has really worked. Unlike other harsher products, this one soothes and cools the skin as well as chemically exfoliating it.

It works well for preventing and treating ingrown hairs.

I bought this as I’d read some fantastic reviews. It’s got a great texture, highly absorbable and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky. It reduces redness and soreness. I’ve been using it for a few weeks, but as yet it hasn’t reduced the bumpiness from hair treatments and I still have a few ingrown hairs.

I hate this product and will be returning it!!! And oh, how I wanted to love it. I’ve been an avid Proactive customer for about 20 years or so. Now it has been great for keeping acne at bay. Why in the world I would develop adult acne in my 40s is beyond me.

However, their product line does not cater to women of Color OR maturing skin care needs. So I started searching and came across Buttah. And then because I always read reviews I also read Dorian’s story.

Impressive -I thought so I ordered the sample size. I figured since my skin seems to revolt within 2 weeks of trying a product other than Proactive, the sample would be enough to know if that would apply.

Fortunately it did not so I ordered the $78 kit and then the toner. So far so good! Then the charcoal mask. Okay. Finally the ads popped up for the tea tree facial scrub/mask/ cleanser thing. First few times I used it-No problem but then in the 2nd week I developed a small cluster of bumps on either side of my mouth area closer to my chin line.

That was followed by what feels and looks like ( if you look closely) a serious case of Hives!!! It’s like my sin is asking what’s going on here??? I think there’s just way too much going on there in one product and it has confused my skin.

Naturally I stopped using the product and contacted Buttah. In response I received a nice sounding email from Fabi, who essentially said, Ooops, sorry that it didn’t work for you, but because it has been more that 30 days since your purchase we cannot help you.

I knew that the time factor seemed inaccurate so I looked up my order. It had been placed on 7/6/21 and I wrote them on 7/21/21 -15 DAYS!!! Contacted customer service on the next day 7/22-now 16 days and got it resolved.

So, not only was it ultra disappointing to have my skin react so violently to your product, but it was super annoying to receive such an empty , and non-empathetic (not to mention inaccurate) e-mail response from customer service.

Listen, as I stated earlier, I am one who always reads reviews and as such I also write them, So I was just about to review this product on Yelp, Google, Amazon, Twitter, and Facebook just as much for the poor customer service as for the product.

I didn’t really want to do this and I do try to support Minority owned businesses but customer service is where I draw the line. I mean, Green is green. And I work to hard for mine to tolerate bad Customer Service.

The best mask slash exfoliating scrub i have ever used. I am very light skined so I probably would have never got to try it if it wasent for receiving it in my Ipsy bag. I absolutely love it. It’s great for older skin.

I am 46 and still get blemishes on occasion. It clears my skin up instantly. The cooling feeling you get after is like being in a peppermint patty commercial. I just can’t say enough good things about this product.

I’ve always suffered from really bad acne on my bottom and it gets me down. It makes me feel self conscious and can also be sore when sitting on active spots. Always being a lover of the face wipes, when I heard these were being released last year I was first in line with high hopes.

These work fantastically, and over the space of a month I notice a very clear difference in the breakouts. which makes it gutting that these are so stupidly expensive. £58 for 8 wipes? Who realistically has £60 extra a month to spare just to make sure their backside isn’t as spotty, no matter how much more confidence they give me?! I understand that you should pay for things that work, but I can’t help to believe that the cost of these have been seriously inflated.

It’s like kicking a girl while she’s down; Either be broke, or deal with the spots. If you’re in the same boat as me, DDG do a head to toe glow set where you can purchase 30 face wipes and a box of the body wipes, which works out £50 cheaper combined.

Regardless, I still have to top up with buying individual boxes of these, and I wince every time I do.

5” x 5. 5” soaked in a blend of exfoliating ingredients ~ Usage: I was only able to use these pads 3 times so far, but I’m really liking them! Definitely my body texture overall has gone done and I don’t see as visible KP as I did before.

I will continue to use these pads over the next few weeks and hopefully see even better results after finishing this box up. ~ INCI List: The ingredients are really good & promising because it has a great blend of exfoliating ingredients from glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, bakuchiol, bromelain, & willow bark extract to remove excess dead skin cell and expose radiant & smooth skin below.

~ Feel: This has a slight tackiness after applying and tends to go away, but I did experience it feeling more tacky when I used it earlier in the day ~ Before & After Photos: I tried my best to take these shots in the exact same place at the same time, but it still turned out to be different lighting 😅.

Regardless, of how it looks I didn’t touch up the shots or anything so that these are pure before & after shots. It’s very hard to see any difference, but I have to say that my skin texture has been reduced & I believe that after using this box up there should be a more visible difference.

✴️ Final Conclusion: I’m loving these exfoliating pads and I believe that they are working! I can’t attest to any big results just yet, but it seems very promising with consistent use. I’ve had this for as long as I can remember, and it has always made me feel somewhat self conscious, especially when I’d be cuddling with a loved one and they are rubbing my arms. Let’s just say it’s been asked of me on more than one occasion “what’s that?” 😳 Dr.

Dennis Gross essentially took their best selling Alpha Beta peel formulated it for the body to help exfoliate ingrown hairs, KP, body blemishes treat dry, dull skin. For reference, I am 5’4 and a size 14 and the towel is large enough saturated enough to pass over my entire body where I have problem areas.

Key ingredients are alpha beta acids, bromelain, bakuchiol which make this body exfoliating treatment not only effective, but gentle on the skin. I didn’t experience any burning, stinging or irritation.

There is a slight sticky / tacky feeling as the solution dries down on your skin, but it does eventually go away after 10-15 minutes. However, my hands were left feeling dry, similar to when you wear a pair of latex gloves for a little too long so I do recommend washing your hands after application.

✨ Overall thoughts? The results speak for itself – my problem areas are much more smoother due to the KP being treated. My skin also looks more even toned brighter. A box comes with 8 treatments it is recommended that you use it 2x a week for best results so you get a solid month of use out of it.

I definitely plan on purchasing this product myself so I can maintain having reduced KP / KP free arms! ✨.

I have searched for an alternative for Clinique’s Comforting Cream Cleanser since it was discontinued. It took off all makeup, including waterproof eye products, without any irritation. I have never found a replacement! All Paula’s cleansers burn my eyes, and I never attempted to use this as a cleanser for makeup because the beads could potentially be extremely irritating to delicate eyes.

What it is, is a very good gentle scrub that I use in the shower a few times a week, to exfoliate skin that is too sensitive for chemical exfoliants. It is an excellent gentle exfoliant. Call it The Gentle Scrub for Exfoliation, and I would have given it 5 stars.

Take the beads out and market it as a very gentle cleanser for makeup, sunscreen, etc. , and if it works as such, I will definitely buy it. But it is not both, not for someone who is too sensitive to use most cleansers.

Once, I accidentally got a bead from a physical scrub that I was using correctly, in my eye the night before an important exam. I immediately developed a blister over most of the eye, that eventually had to be treated with steroid eye drops.

So you can understand my hesitation to ever put a product like that anywhere near my eyes. So 3 stars because because of the ambiguous description. I don’t consider this to be a cleanser, it is a scrub.

But as a gentle physical scrub that I do not use over my eyes, it is excellent.

If you are looking for a gritty or scrubby cleanser, this is NOT it. I bought this on a whim (thinking that was what I was purchasing!) and I was like. what in the world? This was not at all what I was expecting.

My disappointment turned into being thrilled pretty quickly, however, after a few uses. I just had to change the way I thought I would use this. It is a wonderful, creamy cleanser. Very smooth and almost lotion like.

I love it for the morning, just a bit of extra gentle ‘scrub’ in the beginning while the beads are still solid, then it’s almost as if they release something extra smooth and disappear entirely. My skin is so soft and smooth after using it, and it prepares my skin well for my toner, BHA, Vitamin C, and moisturizer.

I LOVE this cleanser, but wanted to help others KNOW exactly what they are getting!.

So far this has been the most effective exfloiant I have ever used. I have oily skin and large pores so I took to scrubs to in the hope of keeping my skin clear. But beacuse I was still getting balckheads and spots I though I was scrubbing enough.

So I got very aggressive when scrubbing my skin, and probably did a bit damage. I got this as a sample with one of my orders and I was not very confident. But PC proved me wrong, my face feels clean, skin soft and best of all I dont have to rub my face raw.

I love it! It’s not sticky. I have the 8 Fl oz tube. Leaves my skin soft with a slight sheen. I want to buy more. Also has a very light, refreshing fragrance! Definitely would purchase again!

I use this for my pubic area and underarms and it works like magic! The concentrate has completely taken away all ingrown hairs and discoloration from my underarms in 3 uses, and all razor burn and ingrown hair problems from the pubic area in 4 uses.

I use this after the shower every time and make sure not to wear deodorant for at least a few hours after showering but I really prefer using it at night so I don’t have to use deodorant until the morning.

I use an all natural deodorant but I still like to leave the concentrate on by itself so it works its best! I’m sure the regular Cooka Oil would give the same results, maybe just over a longer period of time so with summer upon us I wanted the fast results and got them! I will most likely purchase the regular Cooka Oil instead once the concentrate is empty.

I have literally spent thousands of dollars on products to help with my facial hair due to PCOS and nothing compares to this, nothing! I saw results in less than 24hrs. And it only gets better. My ingrown facial hair has improved almost 70%.

I’m excited to see what it will due in more time. As a black woman coming up on 40 it has been a hard transition dealing with everything that comes with age and this product is it! I don’t write reviews. like, ever. But this stuff is seriously a game changer. I get really bad ingrowns on my bikini line and occasionally some of those turn into cysts. I use this in conjunction with the Truly charcoal blemish treatment and in less than a week they have shrunk the two current cysts I have, considerably, and have even stopped a third one that was beginning to form.

This is a great product! I used it at night and the next morning I saw an immediate difference. The swelling and redness of the bumps went down drastically overnight. I have seen continued improvements the longer I have been using it.

It is easy to apply on a cotton pad, and I use it in the morning and at night. Does burn a little though. Overall, great product that really works.

I decided to try this after I saw a TikTok about it for razor bumps. After about three weeks of consistent use, I will say it’s just okay. Yes my razor bumps are less, but I still get them pretty bad.

I don’t think this is a product I’ll purchase again as I want something that works for summer, but I’ll use this till I can find a product that works for me.

This works great to prevent ingrown hairs and razor burn. I use it just before I shave and right after. Its priced reasonably compared to other products that are similar. There isn’t much of a scent to it, which also helps.

As someone who has struggled with ingrowns a lot, I felt like I was at loss for improving them. Until I found this guy, I had to stop shaving so I only wax and after I do and use this I have no ingrowns from waxing! It also helps to remove and bring previous ingrowns up from the surface.

Definitely recommend as this scrub has worked better for me than any other in the past.

I have been using this scrub for a while, I like the fact that it isn’t too harsh and I use it for my bikini line and for under my armpits. It is great to use a day before my wax and a few days after my wax as well.

It has helped with my ingrown hairs and I don’t get as many bumps as I did before. When this is used consistently, you will see the difference.

I have very curly hair. everywhere. Whenever I shaved or waxed ANY area of my body I was guaranteed at least 2 ingrown hairs. However, my bikini area would always have the worst flare ups, and I would suffer from huge ingrown cysts and scarring as a result.

I saw this product on TikTok and I decided to try it out. It’s the only chemical exfoliant that’s ever made any sort of difference with my ingrowns. I no longer develop huge cysts of ingrown hairs, and whenever I do get an ingrown hair there’s literally no irritation or the most I’ll experience now is slight inflammation that goes down within a couple of days.

I bought this product several days ago. I used it after I shaved in the bikini area and I think it’s great. It doesn’t sting. It’s unscented and isn’t sticky. The roll-on feature makes the application easy and will definitely help the product to last longer.

Because it’s so light I used it several times in a day right after shaving and i really did notice my ingrown hairs/hyperpigmentations from previous ingrowns fading away. Once you get your skin back to normal you can probably drop down to once daily.

I cant offer a long-term perspective but this product has certainly worked for me in the short term. I have also used other Topicals products that gave me the expected results so I think this is a trustworthy brand.

I’m a black girl with thick coily 4C hair. The hairs everywhere are like so. I was so prone to unsightly, often painful, Ingrowns and discoloration. For decades I have tried everything (including tendskin and local tradeshow finds) and it simply didn’t work or would make a slight difference.

THIS PRODUCT on day 3 showed me that other brands simply weren’t inclusive. It changed my whole perspective of “oh this is just the way it is”. I was shocked by how emotional it made me feel. I cannot emphasise this enough; I never write reviews and always ignore incentives to do so (purely as I just run out of time and don’t really prioritise it). I’ve been using this cream for ages now and it never fails.

Despite my love for it, I still never wrote a review for it. Yes it’s on the dearer side, but I’ve been using the one tube for so long as you only need a small amount on the ingrown. In this recent instance, I told myself I’d have write a review if I could successfully remove an impossible ingrown my partner convinced me I needed to see a doctor about.

This Ingrown Hair Eliminating Solution is something I have been waiting for my entire life. I sometimes shave fast and in all directions. I end up with ingrown hairs around my knees and outside of my legs.

I shave in the evening and use this the next morning. It has made a huge difference. I have not seen an ingrown hair in months. Loving my super smooth legs.

I received this product for free from Bzz Agent and SweetSpot Labs in exchange for my honest review. I noted that the box that the item came in was very uh modern looking. It had color and easy to read writing.

This product comes in a beautiful and summer colored screw top jar. When I attempted to open the jar it was sealed very tight. Once I opened it, the product did not have an overwhelming smell. The pads were easy to remove from the lineup, and seemed to have an even distribution of moisture.

I use the pad and applied it to the areas I remove hair from. It did not burn or tingle, which is good for those with sensitive skin. I do have razor bumps and ingrown hairs, and I am not sure if this is going to be my new go to product because of the way the cotton pads dry out over time.

For example, I went to apply the pad to skin a few days from my first use and it was dry. I looked at other reviews, and people said to store upside down. I tried that and a few days later they were more moist, but it didn’t seem to be the same result as the first application.

I think I would prefer to have the product in a bottle that I can apply to my own cotton pad. I will continue to try this for the next few weeks in hopes that it will continue to help with razor burn, ingrowns, and dark spots.

This product does exactly as it claims to be capable of in regards to one’s shaving routine. The pads are abundant in the product and are not at all dry; the quality is great! In addition, just as they were described to be, the pads give a a soothing, cool sensation to your body that leaves skin soft and glowing.

This product is definitely the true essence of its description and meets all expectations in regards to it’s function. However, it is not an incredibly life changing product. I didn’t feel as if I was awakened to the holy grail of after shave care.

As a gift, or for a little extra self care, if priced reasonably, in accordance to my abundance at the time, I wholeheartedly would welcome this product into my life. Though I would not feel utterly distraught if my money was right and I was unable to splurge a little on my self care and add it as a staple to my hygiene product line up.

I was excited to try these after reading the reviews and waited until I used the whole container before I made a decision. I WANTED these to work. I hate the amount of ingrowns or breakouts I get around my bikini area after shaving and the worst leave dark spots.

I was hoping these would take care of all that. I used these after several shaves and sadly saw little if any improvements. They were easy to use and convenient, smell decent and the pads are a good size for one use in the bikini area.

But I don’t believe I saw any benefit. I still had ingrowns and breakouts. I maybe didn’t have as many that got bad and left dark marks and this maybe slightly lightened some preexisting dark spots BUT I found I had more benefit from using First Aid Beauty body eraser scrub to help with dark spots.

I’ll be looking for a diff product to use for shaving breakouts.

Been using these for about a week now and I love them! They have clean ingredients btw if you care about that!! I’m a week all of my bumps are vanished, not at bay, but completely gone! I love them seriously.

It comes with 25 and I split them in half use one half in the morning, one half in the evening. The salycilic acid works wonders on ingrowns! I know this bc I used to use the European wax Center brand but hated the fact it had fragrance.

Then, I went to Fur ingrown mitts and they were good but didn’t remove the hairs as fast and were on the pricey side at that. These are my go to now and I’m glad I took a chance on it!! Found out about this from simple research on Google.

I only use this on my face and bikini line, but it does exactly what it says it does – prevents ingrown hairs! It does sting a bit when first applied (astringent?) but to me, a little sting is worth not having tons of tiny, red, itchy bumps.

A lot of the wipe pads come in this small container, too. I definitely recommend.

The claims of this product were true. It made a huge difference in my ingrown hairs post shaving. I am looking for it everywhere and can’t find it anymore. It will truly suck if it got discontinued because this really did work for me.

The last few months I have been having a horrible time with my underarms and bikini area. I’m not sure if it’s the heat or what. I’ve been getting irritation, razor burn, and ingrown hairs even though I never have before.

I started trying quite a few things that might help and I’m happy to say I did finally find something! These exfoliating pads truly work! I use them nightly under my arms and on my bikini area and I have had no more issues.

All redness and irritation gone, no more ingrown hairs, everything is back to smooth and not irritated. And there was also an unintended bonus with these – the AHA (glycolic acid) in them kills the bacteria that cause underarm odor so you can actually skip deodorant too when you use them.

🤯 Works better than my regular deodorant, I swear! The smell is also light and fresh, not overpowering at all, and disappears once the solution dries on your skin. I will never be without them again.

so, I have to say – this product does what is says. definitely got rid of my ingrown hairs and I was kind of shocked honestly. I shave like once a week (otherwise I get such painful razor burn) and use this the day I shave my bikini area and the day after.

bumps are GONE. razor burn is still there but definitely less than before. now, here comes the killer – it burns SO SO SO BAD when using it, specifically the first time. it has witch Hazel in it, which then opened my eyes to why it hurt so bad.

for anyone who doesn’t know, witch Hazel is basically an astringent and almost the equivalent of putting alcohol on your skin. now I moisturize down there 1. to try to prevent irritation and razor burn that develops after shaving and 2.

to help calm the area after it is practically scorched with these pads. if you have sensitive skin, I think you shouldn’t use this product. if you don’t and you think beauty is pain, I think this is a pretty decent product.

Whoa! STOP SCROLLING! You know how sometimes (or everytime) you shave sensitive areas like your pubic region or armpits you get those little red bumps? Man. they sting and they’re far from cute. Thanks to using just 1 of these little white cotton pads from @completelybare after shaving, I’ve experienced no redness, no bumps, no rash, no stinging, and somehow leaves my freshly shaved skin softer than before! They’re affordable as ever and if you shave anything, you NEED these in your arsenal.

I have had a trouble spot for a long time on the sides of my knees which tend to get lots of ingrown hairs and unsightly little bumps. After using this product daily for about 2 weeks, I have noticed a huge improvement as almost all of those little bumps have disappeared! Consistency is key here as I did not experience any difference when I used it only once or twice a week.

Definitely worth it!.

I have tried other brands (tend skin and topicals) for redness and ingrown hairs around the bikini line with no success. I’m glad I finally found a product that works, this product is a must if you’re prone to a lot of ingrowns after shaving.

After using it for two days the redness and has gone down a lot and is even gone in so me areas. It also contains witch hazel extract which I think helps.

Great product for ingrown hair bumps. Firstly, Jack Black is an exceptional. Began using Black Jack as recommended to me from a local Cosmetic store in Washington, DC. This prodcut works great for removing dark spots and treatment due to ingrown hair and hair bumps.

As an Afro American, this product does a great job! I use several other Jack Black products and absolutely recommend the Jack Black manufacturer.

I bought 2 of these. One of them was totally clean and I started to love this because it works so well. The other had some really weird brown stuff on the container’s seal. The brown stuff was between the plastic part of the seal and the foil-type part.

The plastic part separated from the foil part, which resulted in the brown stuff getting ALL over the pads. Maybe the brown stuff is a result of them being on the shelves for a looooong time (which is kind of disgusting because this product goes directly onto your skin).

Hopefully they think about that in the future.

I got this product as part of a VoxBox campaign. I’m used to just removing makeup and impurities by double cleansing (oil cleanser followed by normal cleanser with chemical exfoliant). It’s been working well for my sensitive skin for the most part and I’ve been hesitant on trying a product that uses physical exfoliation, but decided to give this a try anyway.

I washed with oil cleanser first, then used this afterwards. I can feel the microbeads, but they weren’t as abrasive as other exfoliants that I’ve tried before. I noticed that there were some tiny blackheads that the oil cleanser wasn’t able to remove that this product removed completely! I’ve been using it 2-3x per week since and it hasn’t resulted in any redness or breakouts.

My skin feels so soft and smooth!.
