This was a quick and easy read with a lot of good pointers for getting down to business. There are exercises and questions at the end of every chapter. I purchased my cope from Barnes Noble, it cost about $20.

The book is a little repetitive, it does seem like the author is just trying to fill space in some parts but, great messages overall!.

This book gives you so much information about life and the best way to handle the highs and lows of life, and what to do to make you a stronger person and build your self esteem! Great insight of what works and what doesn’t work!!! Purchased 6 books for all my loved ones!.

One of the best and most helpful books you could buy for personal and career development. Make sure to answer the sometimes challenging questions and practice the suggestions and progress and increased productivity and focus is bound to have.

Had high hopes for this book having seen so many people recommend it. It was so boring, so much rambling, some good points but they were lost in the rambling. It was really hard to follow along, it felt much more like a draft than a finished book – very in-cohesive Disappointed as i really wanted to like it and kept reading in the hopes that it got better.

I hope her other books are better and as good as the reviews say! ☺️.

Reading Brené Brown without a highlighter and a pen is akin to eating soup with a serving fork – you may get a taste but there is so much missed that you will have to go return with a spoon anyway. Few are the pages that were not worthy of extensive emphasis in this (and is also true with other works) important book.

As is typical of Dr. Brown’s work, this book is filled with empirical research, personal stories and clear discussion of her salient points. In her fourth book, Dr. Brown addresses the common experience of falling/failing/not accomplishing a goal.

This is practically presented deep research on the adage, “It is not how often you fall – it is how often you get up that matter. ” The author extends that thought to include not just getting up, but doing so with strength, clarity, empowered and renewed determination.

According to her “Rising Strong Process” the individual does: The Reckoning – “walking into our stories. ” Recognize emotion, and get curious about our feelings and how they connect with the way we think and behave.

The Rumble – “owning our story. ” Getting honest about the stories we are making up about the struggle(s) [“I’m a failure,” “I’m not smart enough,” etc. ], challenge the lies and assumptions to find the truth, what is self-protection and what needs to change in order to live wholehearted lives.

The Revolution – “writing a new ending. ” This “new story” is based upon the key learning from the rumble and helps us change how we engage with the world and transform how we are living. (p. 36) The above outline is fleshed out in the 270 pages of text.

The author gives suggestions for how to engage with the process and allow it to “do its work” in the lives of the individual. Through the personal stories she uses to illuminate the process, and by the (very) brief attempts I made at using some of the steps, this practice is not easy and it requires the person stepping into it to face some powerful, often scary, realities.

One does not have.

I don’t always get time to read, so i brought the audio cd & have thoroughly enjoyed listening to Brene read it aloud to me in my car or on my ipod. I viewed Brene’s ‘Ted’ Talks on Vulnerability & Shame on you tube which is a great intro to her as a researcher & her unique style.

Rising Strong is a great insight into what we all deal with as human beings everyday. She uncovers difficult subjects & areas of life that we all struggle with but gives you the coping mechanisms in the form of research & personal stories to get through the tough times.

In many instances Brene gave her husbands thoughts & opinions as well. Her willingness to explore & share the male perspective, encouraged me to give the Cd’s to my Husband who also doesn’t get time to read much.

He listened whilst driving to work each day & i was thrilled when he found them helpful too. The wonderful surprise is my husband and I now share a bond thank’s to Brene’s work. We have saying’s & coping mechanisms that we share & use on a daily basis when interacting with each other, our kids, elderly parents, work, home, money.

For years I felt my organizational habits and routines were a mild case of obsessive compulsive behavior. Although the same habits directly contributed to my profe success, I tried to hide them. This book explains clearly how important those habits and routines are in all areas.

I am very glad I read it. Highly recommend!.

A wonderful read in being able to give people another perspective. Great thought and process power and inspires to be though provoking.

This book is very interesting both from a personal and business perspective. Easy read, filled with compelling case studies and validated research. Enjoyable in understanding how the brain works and has application both in self-improvement, and in a business setting.

This is my new favorite way to consume books! Thank you, Nir for putting together a concise and actionable video book. The Time Block section really resonated with me. Especially simplifying it into 3 categories which provides a perfect balance.

It’s easy to blame external triggers but I had no idea that they were only responsible for 10% of distraction! Mastering my internal triggers is now my MO for this quarter. This video book is incredibly easy to learn and retain information from.

I have read Indistractable the book, I listened to the audio version and enjoyed them both. I was a bit skeptical of what could be done in 42 minutes but I was really surprised by the amount that was covered and Nir is a fantastic presenter.

I really enjoyed this. What I am most excited about is that I can share this with our kids with a high probability they will experience the whole thing and internalize much more than they would with the alternative media versions.

Whether you are an avid fan or have never read the book I would highly recommend this.

This is exactly what I needed to watch to kick off the new year. Being Indistractable may very well be the skill of the decade. I watched this videobook in one sitting and I plan to come back to it throughout the year so I can continue to apply the learnings.

I remember first learning the title of this book several years ago after watching a video of Jared Singer reading one of his poems on the Button Poetry Instagram (a platform which truly has had an immeasurable positive impact on my relationship to poetry), and ever since then, the title has remained in my mine.

Occasionally, it will weave its way into my day as a sort of mantra, “forgive yourself these tiny acts of self-destryction,” a gentle voice reminding me to do just that. It wasn’t until just recently that I finally bought myself a copy, and I am so glad that I did.

Singer’s tone and style are such a unique medium for the weight of the stories he conveys. He often speaks simply and honestly, leaving the reader able to connect fully with the text, and yet Singer also makes wonderful use of imagery and metaphor, which brings an extra layer of richness.

This book can be hard to read purely in the sense that it reminds us it can be hard to live, and yet at the same time, he reminds us of our strength and resiliency. I am grateful to now own this book, and I would highly recommend reading it.

I’m not usually a big fan of poetry. I prefer fiction. However, this collection truly moved me. I loved it. I usually give away books after I have read them, but I am keeping this one to re-read (and to share with others as long as they return it to me).

Jared Singer is amazing in his ability to communicate so much of experience and emotion. I would love to get to know him and communicate with him!.

I’m not one who actually buys a lot of poetry books, but I heard Jared Singer share his poem “Love 1A” on the Facebook page, and I was captured by his words. I decided to give his book a try, and I do not regret this purchase one bit.

Every night as I read a few of his poems before bed, I was moved by his observations, his turns of phrases, and most of all, his willingness to be raw and vulnerable. If you’re looking for poems to make you feel, Singer’s works will deliver.

It is easier to heal from a trauma that has actually happened ‘to’ you. You can name it. It has substance. Be it a person, place, event or thing. But when the ‘something’ that happened is actually the ‘absence’ of something, you cant even begin to find a place to start.

Its elusive. Its right there – but its invisible. You are angry and sad and empty inside – but you cant comprehend why. Its like chasing a ghost. Jonice names that ‘absence’ and gives it language. Running on Empty has given me an understanding of my childhood emotional neglect.

It explains the ‘hole in my soul’. This book has allowed me to begin the healing process and put me on the road to becoming the complete human being I was meant to be. I am filling my tank with life and I am no longer Running on Empty.

If you suspect something wasnt right with your childhood this is a great book to help fill in the gaps that may be creating the void in your life. Its great to read on this subject and become aware of yourself; what you didnt get, what you need and how to ask for it.

Fantastic book on a huge topic that is rarely explained in this much detail. Im glad I eventually bought it after 2. 5 years hesitating.

I bought this book after wanting to better understand childhood emotional neglect. Aftee reading half of the book, and getting on to the last few chapters, I had to stop as it came across preachy with the exercises included in the book, which seemed to be monotomous and unecessary, such as “write down how many time you said no today” I would still recommend it to a friend and get them to read it in its entirity.

I have trained with non violent communication by Marshall Rosenberg, there is quite a lot of blame/jeckel language in this book.

A charming classic book by Shel Silverstein. I bought this book because my 7 year old son loves for us to read Shel Silverstein poem books to him each night at bedtime. I really enjoy the wit and find the poems and stories quite entertaining.

The book arrived very quickly, in excellent condition and is providing us with a special holiday gift.

This has always been one of my favorite books as a kid. As soon as I got it in the mail and I opened the envelope I was so happy! It was in absolutely perfect condition which made it even better. Thank you!.

So many issues since you make us log in to scan from printer to computer. why is it so complicated! I have scanned documents for years and all of the sudden HP makes it so darn difficult! I will not be buying another HP ever.

Very frustrating! Mind your own business and stop tracking me or my documents. Don’t make me log in to your site to simply scan from my printer to my computer. HOW ANNOYING!.

Pluses: Uses very little ink compared to other HP printers I have owned. Great features. Very few paper jams. Negatives: Everything else. Goes offline constantly, goes to sleep and won’t wake up, will not hold the wifi connection while all other devices such as HP laptop work, after awhile it just starts flashing error message to turn off.

Customer service have been great and worked hard to help but have not resolved the issues. To use it I have to turn it on, reboot wifi, print or scan then turn off. Frustrating. I have VOIP phone so I can’t use the FAX feature.

Had to buy the Carepak for the extended service because warranty expired and I need HP assistance.

Pros: HP Instant Ink included for up top 3 years, so no more refilling catridges Cons: I swore never to buy HP again, then a great offer came along to get rid of my old HP printer. Reviews looked ok, so I went for it.

Installed, no problems at all. Now, almost every time I try to print, my PC tells me the printer isn’t availabe but the HP software says it is – The print job sits in the queue. If I run HP diagnostics it tells me it’s fixed a problem but still no print.

Reboot PC, reboot printer and once every 5 times it will print. Print from a different PC anmd suddenly everything works until next time. NEVER AGAIN, this IS the last HP printer I will ever buy. The deal looks great but if you want a trouble free life buy something else!.

Unshakable Hope book and studying guide are outstanding! They are very encouraging and uplifting! I use them to teach my adult ladies Sunday School class! We are all enjoying the sessions!

God has definitely gifted Max Lucado, but the best part of the story is that Lucado honors that gift by sharing it with the world ✝️ This specific book is no doubt one of my favorites. Reading about these amazing promises given to us by God and having each one expanded by this author’s insight and ability to write so that everyone who chooses to can understand is what makes Lucado books so enlightening.

Thank you, God and thank you, Max Lucado, for sharing God’s Gift and Word with all of us ! The Study Guide that accompanies this book is excellent for small group discussions.

Love the fact that I can pedal mindlessly while concentrating on work, before you know it, miles are racking up. Love that it has wheels so I can move it out of the way stand some times. Cons 1. seat not comfortable but if I don’t get used to it, see if I can pad it somehow; 2.

Seat back is to far back to pedal comfortable, I have sit real low to sit back but then my knees are too high where they don’t stretch out enough,maybe add a seat back as someone else said in their review; 3.

The digital display should have a light, hard to see under the desk where the light is blocked. It did have a knocking noise coming from the internal mechanism for the first 50 miles or so, I reported to customer service, but no response from them.

Has since gone away, just hope it was just due to shipping and has since settled.

The desk bicycle is part of my active home office transformation and I absolutely love it! I don’t know why I didn’t do this years ago! Highly recommend especially for those wanting/needing more active minutes in their day.

I bike on this at least a few hours every workday. It moves easily but is also impressively sturdy. It has a lot of adjustments (up and down, forward and back, etc). Everything works smoothly. I love how easily I can move it because I also sometimes stand at my desk.

I even roll it into the living room sometimes to ride while I watch TV! Extremely pleased!!!.

I work 60 hour weeks. In my house. I started with a Flexispot standing desk because I was so tired of sitting all day long. It soon became evident that I needed a better chair than I was using. This fitness chair is great.

It was easier to assemble than my desk – only took me 15 minutes. The cycling action is smooth and surprisingly easy to maintain while presenting in a meeting, answering emails, etc. I’ve had it less than a month and use it for half the day, standing the other half.

I’ve already lost 5 pounds! It also keeps my body temp up – when I stand, I’m always cold. If you struggle with long hours at your desk – I really recommend upgrading your office with this chair and a standing desk.

I feel a million times better at the end of a long day than I did before I got my Flexispot items.

Overall, the ORBIT Spearmint Sugarfree Gum has pretty much everything you’d expect from a chewing gum! Packaging is nice and gums are easy to access. Once you pull a single gum out of its pocket, it will automatically open the covering (you have to be gentle with it to work).

The gum itself has a nice balance of freshness and sweetness (even though it’s sugar free). It’s not too fresh to burn the tongue, and not too sweet. It lasts in the mouth for about 45-60 minutes in my experience, before it’s time to throw it out.

*One thing you really want to keep attention to is the keeping temperature. Try to keep it in the refrigerator if you can, and definitely not in a warm room, since relative high temperature (even close to room’s temperature in FL) will make the texture of gum sticky and damaged.

ORBIT Bubblemint Sugarfree Gum is just the right amount of mint and bubble gum flavor. I usually don’t choose mint but in this case I would. One flavor doesn’t overpower the other. The flavor lasts and it’s sugar free, which is said to protect your teeth from cavities.

It certainty doesn’t take away from the taste of this particular gum. As an avid gum chewer, I appreciate the 180 piece resealable bag. I have a jar that I put the gum in so that my little one doesn’t get it and it’s nice to be able to keep the remaining pieces in the bag zipped up and in the cabinet until refill time.

Its gives easy access and you don’t have all the extra wrappers and garbage to content with.

Tastes like bubble gum for sure, not really getting a mint taste. I do sugar free to cut back on the sugar whenever possible. For me and others in the house it doesn’t have that sugar free taste. It’s sweet so they didn’t believe it was sugar free gum.

I do wish it had a stronger mint taste. The bag has 180 pieces which should last quite awhile. Sometimes I just grab one piece and that’s sufficient enough for me to refresh my breath. These come in a bag so you can refill your orbit gum container.

The bag is resealable so it stores great too.
