19 Best Ethernet Cables For Ps4 (2023 Updated)

Ran this cable from our cable modem router upstairs, along the ceiling, through a couple of walls (using Monoprice wall plate thingies to make it look nice), and down to my desk in my study. Being able to plug my laptop directly into the router, 3 doors away, makes all the difference.

So much faster and more stable than WiFi, and it frees up WiFi bandwidth for other things in the house. I have never had a problem live-streaming since getting a direct cable connection. It?s a good cable! ?so I bought two more, in different colors, to connect the mesh routers downstairs to the mesh base upstairs! No confusion about which is which, no labels needed.

And the mesh WiFi is even better with Ethernet connections between the routers.

This Cat 6 Ethernet cable is of good quality and rated for “in wall”, installation. I used it to run a permanent wire in the ceiling to a media room. It feeds an Home Essentials Direct Fire Stick 4K and works well.

The tabs on the plug are strong and covered under rubber boots. In my case, where I do not plug and unplug the cable with use, that works out great as I never have to worry about the cable coming loose.

Unplugging it can be a bit of a challenge going “bare hands”. The trick is to use a small flat screw driver that enables you to fully push in the locking tab to release the plug; I think it is the rubber boot that covers the release tab that limits how far in you can push the tab making it seem impossible to unplug.

If you have a need to frequently unplug the Ethernet cable then perhaps you may want to consider a different cable to avoid potential frustration; perhaps a cable without the rubber boot or one with a softer rubber boot.

If you are using it for a more permanent setup where you do not unplug it after installing then this is a great value and it works well. Giving 5 stars for permanent use application which is my experience.

For frequent unplug need, I would rate it 4 stars because of the rubber boot on the plug making it difficult to unplug; use of a small flat screw driver does help.

Our company builds and installs surveillance camera systems, primarily for state licensed recreational cannabis producers and retail outlets. Due to our compact RAID based server racks, it is difficult to run directly to the switches with Cat6 and Cat5e cables, particularly shielded and direct burial lines.

I found these Cat 8 cables to be high quality and a good value. I liked the snag free RJ 45 ends, the larger 24 AWG copper wires and the shielding. I choose the white cable so I coukd mark the connections directly on the cable jacket.

I downloaded the cable specifications before purchasing and was impressed with the detail and quality. Other vendors provided little information other than customer reviews with questionable accuracy.

I trust Momoprice Cat 8 cables. I have upgraded my home network to 1GB fiber and replaced all cables and equipment including Wi-Fi. I used only Momoprice Cat 8 cables. I connected 3 node mesh Wi-Fi routers with Cat 8 cables between them.

I have many wired and Wi-Fi devices on the network: 4 desktops, 2 laptops, 5 tablets, 6 wireless speakers, video doorbells, security camers,lights ,kitchen aappliances. Often 35 Wi-Fi devices are connected.

Cable worked and I received a high speed data transfer in order to watch the video from NASA.

A squirrel ate through my previous cable. I had to get a new one as fast as I work from home. This baby did the trick. It supports fast speeds. Two days ago I upgraded my service to 1G. I have my ISP modem connected to my wireless/wired router.

Then this cable running through the attic to my office. to an 8 port switch, then another 8 footer to a 5 port switch and to my 2 systems. Still getting between 700 and 850mb speed.

I love this cord. It makes my connection fast, easy to use, and accessible. It has gone with me through two major moves, in the ease of me being able to have it connected to my living room and brought all the way to my bedroom is what I love the most.

I’m able to use it on my work computer and then when I get off I’m able to move it to my Xbox making sure that I’m able to glide through my service with ease. Downloads are fast, and the connection never fails.

Overall this cable is alright for the money. It gives me 1gbps which is standard but you may need to modify the cable like I had. The boot was too big for my computer and was pushing against the IO shield, so I cut a bit of it off and it fits perfectly then.

The actual clip that holds the cable into the computer also seems a bit shorter compared to the rest of my cables and required me to used a pen to disengage the clip to remove it from my computer TLDR: Pros: decent cable for the money with a modification for further compatibility.

Cons: Plastic clip shorter than usual, resulting in difficulty removing cable if boot is removed/shortened.

Although Cat5e is an older standard, it offers the speeds that I need. I have a 400mbps internet connection at home and Cat5e is still more than adequate. I chose this over a Cat6 cable simply because it was flat and thin and take up less space in the tight area behind my desk than a Cat6 or 7 cable.

Since I only needed a few feet of cabling, I wasn’t concerned with interference. If you’re looking for a thin cable with good build quality and fast speeds, this isn’t a bad choice.

Cable hooks into modem and computer good. No Manufacture or shipping defects as far as I could tell. Data transmits no problems. The cable is flat enough to go under my door as intended so it doesn’t snag against the floor.

Overall great product for the price. I just wish there were more colors. But that aint a big factor for some thing that’s gonna be plugged in and forgotten for a long time anyways.

Do you know how hard it is to find a cheap long ethernet cable man was it hard but luckily office depot got our back. Sure it’s not Cat 6 but for a 2m cable at this price, it’s unbeatable. We use Cables to Go and Black Box cable where I work and at former employers that I worked for. This cable is very well built. Good oxygen free copper, the right amount of twists (true gig), and good jacketing/pulling materials.

I pulled 2 boxes (2,000 feet) recently for a new home build A/V install and did not have any issues such as twisted/pinched wires, signal loss, etc. The outside jacket is VERY thick and was about as thick as the RG6 quad shield coax I pulled beside it.

It passed with flying colors with my fluke tester and did not disappoint on the frequency sweep and bit error tests.

This Belkin headphone adaptor works Fantastic! It was a great value for the price. I wanted to use my own earphones on my Ipod and this worked just the way I wanted it to and also did not loose any of the sound quality and loudness.

Not the most qualified because I?ve never run Ethernet before, but I?ve had no issues with it. Solid copper, much better than CCA (copper classes aluminum) or stranded cable for in wall runs. Cat6 is great for residential (can even get 10Gbps on most runs).

CMR rated and UL certified is ideal for indoor residential runs. At $85 for a 1000? I can?t recommend it enough, TrueCable is $170 for the same specs and length off Amazon. There was a voluntary recall on some Monoprice Cat6 cable in 2019/2020, but from my research it only affects commercial buildings.

It also seems they did well remedying the recall. Further I would imagine they really really tested this stuff throughly as it succeeds a recall. Definitely imagine they want to avoid that again.

Excellent cable! The entire 250ft of cable fed out of the box smoothly. I pulled it through some tight areas and the sheathing held up just fine. It felt a little stiff when I was terminating to keystones and rj45?s but my internet speeds improved significantly.

I was a little disappointed because I also ordered a box of grey cat6 cable to try and keep things organized. It turns out the grey supported 500MHz and had a 15 year warranty. This blue wire supports 550MHz, has a Lifetime warranty and was $6 cheaper.

I wish the description warned me about that, I would have ordered 2 boxes of this awesome blue stuff. Who wants to pay more for a lesser cable? Overall I couldn?t find another cable that could compete with the price and quality of this CAT6 cable.
