20 Best Essential Oils For Deodorant (2023 Updated)

I love this oil as it’s not too strong and does the trick. I have used this a few times when the cook aka my husband has burnt something. Usually it’s so bad the smoke alarm is going off, at least they work, but then it’s time to work on that smell.

Sometimes I may even add a couple drops of distilled lemon 🍋 to give it the fresh kitchen smell. Also use when some comes to the house, may be a Technican or the bug guy smells like a pack of cigarettes mixed with a fast food joint.

Whew/ time to diffuse and deodorize!.

I am newer to this e. o however from the ways i have tried so far it is lovely! I diffuse a couple drops as a refresher for the house, especially after cooking meals that tend to linger. My favorite little trick is to put 2 drops in the filter of our Roomba vacuum and i will run that during the day while the kids and i are out running errands, at the park etc.

As a pre-clean up. It really leaves the house smelling a bit fresher than if i were to diffise in just one specific room. Plus it is really nice to come home to a fresher smelling house without barely having to put any effort into! Especially if you have animals it is a nice assist.

I have not tried making my own deodarant but that certainly is on my list! I also think this would make a nice fragrance if you are into the woodsy patchouli scent. I definitely would recommend this to everyone.

It’s now one of my go to’s. I also like others like to add one or two drops to my laundry balls. Be careful a little goes a long, long way. Honestly if i a. Doing a bigger load and have more dryer balls i only put 1 on each or even one on every other is enough.

I bought this oil last week and thank goodness, because the last couple of days my toddler’s room has had a strong urine smell of unknown origin. I shampooed the carpet and still the smell lingered. I put 30 drops of this in a 32 oz mason jar full of baking soda, sprinkled on the carpets, and vacuumed up 30 minutes later.

I diffused 8 drops in a 300ml diffuser and sealed off the room for the day. I put a few drops in a spray bottle with white vinegar and wiped all of the surfaces. Smell is all gone!! I couldn’t be happier!.

I love this blend. I use it in homemade linen sprays. I add it to my homemade detergent. I use it in my dryer balls. I use it in roller bottles for a deodorant. It is just smells super clean. It is both herbaceous and citrus scented, without being too heavily one or the other.

I love, love, love this deodorant. I had been searching for several years for a deodorant that did not have aluminum or baking soda, without much success. Also, it is frustrating spending so much money on something that does not work.

I tried many different brands, Arm and Hammer, Native, Lume, and Toms, to name a few. Most of those used baking soda and it would break my armpits out. Apparently my armpits are pretty sensitive. This is hands down my favourite scent ever!! So happy to have finally found an all natural deodorant that works for me… The journey was a long one let me tell you. I have searched for years to find the right deodorant that would work with my body.

I swear I must sweat more than the average person. After struggling for years to find the right deodorant I feel I have finally found the one for me. I have tried many different types and brands over the years and nothing seemed to work for me.

Reading review after review of different products I would get excited every time thinking that I just might have found something that actually works!! I was disappointed ever single time. The products never seemed to work as well for me as it did for other customers.

I was starting to think that it was me. I think my body sweats more than the average person and I was so discouraged. I figured I was never going to find the right natural product for me. Trust me, this had gone on for many years! I was about to give up my search when I came across Each and Every, and I thought, why not try it? What do I have to lose!?! I am so happy I did.

I can’t recommend more highly. I suffered severe rashes under my armpits for almost three years, tired many different “natural, hypoallergenic” deodorants, tried going without deodorant, eliminated fragrances and scent from all of my products, tried several topical steroids, had allergy testing to confirm I wasn’t missing anything, and still had the rashes.

Each & Every Unscented has changed my life. After using for a few days, the rashes were fading, and after no more than a week or two, they were gone for good. I’ve been using it for a year now. If this product ever goes away, I honestly don’t know what I’ll do.

Start making my own? Please always make this wonderful product! Also, I have no body odor even after exercise or working all day in hot PPE. It doesn’t stain or discolor clothing. It’s the best. I wish my dermatologist would have given me this recommendation… I passed the product info to them, and hope they use it to help their next dermatitis patient.

I LOVE love LOVE these deodorants. I first found the lavender maybe 2 years back and I found it was the only natural/quality ingredients deodorant to last all day. I have tried many others and they either burn me, cause a rash, or quit working.

I am extremely satisfied with these. My favorite scent is the Jasmine Verbena. I thought I would like some of the other scents, like this Citrus or Rose, but I sadly don’t. I still give a 5 star rating because they are THAT great.

I may gift the scents I’m not a fan of to friends and buy more Jasmine Verbena! I don’t understand why other people say they fan dry after application. I live in the humid south and I don’t do this. I spritz two squirts on each side and immediately put my shirt on.

Works just fine! I’ve used these every day of the southern summer and my husband has not once commented on my stink because it’s not there. He would totally lmk if I stank. :).

I had high hopes for this product. The spray mechanism is really effective – it gives excellent broad, uniform spray coverage under the arms. HOWEVER, the folks at EO who developed this deodorant included WAY MORE LAVENDAR THAN CITRUS in the recipe.

In fact, the citrus “notes” are completely drowned out. EO’s marketing staff should label it Lavendar-scented deodorant, and not perpetuate the citrus misnomer. I’m willing to tolerate this product until I’ve used it up, but it’s not really what I had wanted or expected when purchasing this item.

For a proper citrus-scented spray deodorant, buy the citrus-scented one made by Weleda.

I discovered this deodorant in a retail store years ago where it was buried among products in big bins. I was able to find 2 bottles and they lasted me for quite some time. After years of longing for this product, my friend suggested that I try to find this product online (could not remember the exact name at the time) but alas! I really enjoy this one as it keeps the funk away even during my physically intense work days.

This also works as a slight antiperspirant for me personally as I’ve found that gel and sprays dry on my armpits and create a dry zone, just a bit, though that isn’t my desire with this product, it is an added bonus.

Love the smell and does not irritate my sensitive armpit hair and skin.

Great product! I was skeptical at first since when I have used other natural deodorants I feel like they don’t really work. But these deodorants work better than any regular deodorant and any other deodorant I have ever used.

They smell wonderful (favorite lavender/lemon and citrus/vetiver), the texture is nice and easy to apply. They keep me dry all day and smelling wonderful. When I first apply it feels very moisturize but then after a couple minutes the skin absorbs it and I’m protective all day.

And even when I don’t wear it my underarms don’t smell and the skin texture area on my underarms have improved and it feel moisturize. I have recommended these deodorants to everyone I know. I am going try more of their products next.

Absolutely the best. I went from using Dove 0% to this and my life changed. I do sweat and workout but it’s completely different experience with these deodorant. I do not smell at all like when I used to use aluminum free Dove products.

My husband also loves this and he absolutely mind blown as to how this is natural, smells great and still keeps you perfectly smell free and stain free. I got 4 on my first purchase and I was scared to try them but wow! Coconut lime is my favorite scent thus far.

I have tried many many other deodorants and I have even tried to make my own and I have to tell you nothing comes even close to this. It’s the best deodorant ever hands down. I have very sensitive armpits and everything clogs me up,breaks me out and sloughs off my skin making my armpits raw.

Not this deodorant! I will never go back to using anything else. It’s the 1st natural deodorant that you don’t have to reapply all day. Once and done for me. I really like the value of the Now peppermint oil. I blew through a 4 oz bottle very fast putting out something to deter mice. So I decided to bite the bullet & get the 16 oz bottle. Well, I’m here to tell you to beware of the 16 oz bottle.

It’s not a great deal when the reducer is faulty. I went to put some drops in something and the oil gushed out from under the reducer. I have tried pushing the reducer down better, but it does not move.

I guess I’ll grab a funnel & pour oil into my 4 oz bottle a bit at a time.

I love using oils instead of chemicals in my house. I have three large dogs, whose paws are everywhere. It would make me nervous to use chemicals or the electrical pest controls. So peppermint keeps away bugs in general.

They(the creepy crawlers) do not like it and will move on to another location. I have a weird fear of spiders. I actually think they can feel my fear. With peppermint oil, I have not come in contact with any (thank the universe) Mice do not like the scent either, which is an added bonus.

I am a obsessive cleaner, but you never know how your neighbors’ are cleaning. In other words, no worries 🙂.

This deodorant is a light floral surprise. Easy on the nose and delicate on the tender skin of the under arm. I alternate with the Lavendar.

What a terrific product ! No need of waxy deodorants and drowning in perfume sprays to smell great ! Just roll on Aura Essentials oil!

Smells wonderful! So far, it seems to work or decrease odor & moisture immediately after applying & not much is required for the effect. Good thing it is small enough to fit in my purse as I had to take it with me & reapply at least 2 more times throughout the day for comfort.

This is my second time ordering this deodorant. I tried using local natural deodorant from farmers markets where I live due to needing quick fixes, but no one can make deodorant like Heart J Creations! Smells amazing and keeps me smelling fresh all day! Fantastic product.

I waited to review this deodorant until I could really put it to the test. I am at the sweaty middle aged point of my life where I am stinky and am afraid of the over the counter deodorants with aluminum which don’t work for me anyway.

This weekend we had our annual festival at the museum where I work. Two days of 80+ degree weather with me working outside, walking miles around our museum grounds and doing some intense work. This deodorant really worked for me.

I still have a slightly musty smell if I really sniff hard, but it is not noticeable to the outside nose at all. This particular deodorant has almost a woodsy smell, it is not a feminine smell. If you are looking for a more feminine scent, I would try a custom scented deodorant from this shop.

Either way, it really works and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great deodorant and love the scent. It’s good for everyday but if you want it to stick around through more vigorous wear, apply often. At least that’s the case with me.

Terrible. Used it last night for the first time. I had body Odor just from going to dinner. Want to return it but don’t want the hassle.

I don’t know if the scent in this line was discontinued, but I sure hope it wasn’t because this quickly became my holy grail deodorant/antiperspirant product. First off, I have several important determining factors when deciding if I love an underarm care product.

So I’ll tell you what I was looking for: 1. An antiperspirant with more skin friendly ingredients. 2. Doesn’t leave a white cast on my underarms or easily rub off on clothes. 3. Goes on smoothly (doesn’t tug at my skin) and isn’t too dry or too wet.

4. I can apply it once in the morning and it protects me from odor and wetness all day. 5. Isn’t overly fragrant. And last but not least, 6. Doesn’t clash or compete with my perfume, and even better, pairs well with my perfume.

The last factor was one of the most difficult for me to find as most underarm products tend to have either fresh, floral, powdery, or herbal scents. I am someone who very much gravitates toward gourmand and oud fragrances, so your typical deodorant/antiperspirant scents clash terribly, and for years I would wear unscented versions, until I came across the Secret Essential Oils line.

These are the best smelling, protecting, and performing deoderants and antiperspirants I have ever came across and I honestly had a difficult time choosing between 3 of them. However, the Vanilla Sandalwood seemed to be the perfect match for me because it was both in the gourmand and oud families.

If I can find this again, I am most definitely going to stock up. I hope they never get rid of this line, rather I hope to see more scent varieties added to it. This is an absolute home run hit! It checked every requirement for me and surpassed all my expectations.

My skin has gotten more sensitive after having my son and this antiperspirant was always been soothing to my skin and never irritated it, even if I applied it to freshly shaved underarms. I have written a novel, so if you read this I hope it gave you the information you were looking for.

Okay. so I am so torn about this one. I absolutely LOVE this scent. It is hands down my favorite scent I have found for a deodorant. However. I should have seen the red flag when I went to my local Walmart a month later to repurchase and they no longer had them out for sale.

So, I went home and ordered 4 boxes from Amazon. Now, while I love the scent. and I love secret. we need to talk about how this product performs. Unfortunately, after about 4 hours of wear. it basically stops smelling good and starts to almost smell.

rotten. I have used other brands that feature citrus and I also had the same problem. This does continue to keep me from producing sweat. but it stops from odor protection pretty quick. I hate it because I love the initial scent so much.

I had resorted to using qn uncented product first to contain the soon to come odors and I have been throwing this on top just for the smell. As much as I wish it worked. it just performed too poorly for me.

When you open it you get a fresh out doors kinda smell with a hint of perfume my grandma wore in the 70’s she bought out of the avon catalog. Regardless I remained hopeful Solely based around the fact it had to be excellent because for the price I could have bought 3 sticks of the degree deodorant I usually buy.

I was so disappointed after a few hours tops I smelled like sweat I tried to cover up with that bottle of Avon perfume I mentioned in the beginning. Don’t even attempt yard work relying on this deodorant because I’m pretty sure that makes the smell you’re trying to prevent hit harder then a hammer on a nail your Neighbors next-door can smell.

Hopefully they can’t literally smell me but you get my point. I came from a family that didn’t have money and too many kids and a single mom making the bare minimum so I’m super easy to please when it comes to the finer things in life.

Honestly dont have any positive things to say about it besides the appearance of the bottle is super appealing and approachable but that’s not exactly going to keep me buying this deodorant. It’s basic needs that the consumer is looking for and this doesn’t not meet the criteria and the high price seems like a manipulation for people like myself that thought it just had to be fantastic because the price is too wild to not be anything but that.

I was very excited to get to review this product. I love essential oils. Sometimes I wear them as a scent, but I also use them in a diffuser in my home as part of a holistic approach to treating PTSD and anxiety.

The right combination of essential oils facilitates relaxation and helps me to meditate and breathe through the most severe of my anxiety attacks. My first impression was a little bit skeptical. I was a little bit discouraged by the price, $11.

97 seemed like a little bit of a stretch for an antiperspirant, but quality essential oils are always a little bit pricey, and you tend to get what you pay for. This product smells fantastic, although it is marketed as a women’s antiperspirant while I actually found the scent to be rather masculine.

I put the product on before I went to work out this afternoon, and was extremely impressed by its effectiveness. I’m very selective about my deodorant/antiperspirant choices, because I tend to overheat very easily and I sweat more than most women.

I normally use a clinical strength antiperspirant. It goes on so smooth and soft, it almost feels like velvet going on my armpits! I did my usual 40 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of weight training, followed by 15 minutes in the tanning bed.

When I returned to the locker room to shower and change my clothes, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the underarms in my t-shirt were almost dry, and I didn’t have a ring of sweat on the band of my sports bra under my arms either.

Overall, I’d say my underarms probably perspired around 80% less than usual. I’m very pleased with the performance of this product! The cedarwood helped me to calm my thoughts and focus on my workout.

When I reapplied the product after my post-workout shower, the citrus helped me to feel refreshed and re-energized, while the cedarwood provided me with the same benefits that did during my workout. all the 100 things that I had on my mind for today seem to calm down and I was able to compartmentalize them and focus.

for an antiperspirant to help me to feel calm, focused, refreshed AND energize is just a miracle for me. After using the product, I will stay with confidence that it’s worth every penny. It’s definitely a keeper! Next time, I think I’ll try one of the other scents.

this one was perfect for my trip to the gym, but I’d like to find something a little bit more feminine for regular daily use. The essential oils in this product were extremely effective, and most definitely had a positive impact on my workout.

It’s not fair for me to not write a bad (ish) review because I’m very quick to praise makeup / skincare. I wanted to like this deodorant, I really did! I’ve been using it for a month maybe? Enough time to form a legit opinion, ok? Lavender and eucalyptus is a lovely combination and the essential oil formula drew of parabans and dyes really intrigued me.

The formula is good and goes on like a normal invisible solid stick. The smell is also great! HOWEVER I’m not really satisfied with how it covers odor. I get the I-think-I’m-masking-b. o. -but-everyone-in-a-ten-foot-radius-can-smell-me vibe.

It claims to be an antiperspirant also but I think it falls short. so if that’s what you need, beware (I’m wearing a lot of sleeveless tops so it’s not an issue right now lol). Am I still using it? Yes.

Nice, upbeat scent! I put this in my plug in diffusor in my office to help give me energy during the day. I also bought the roll-on version of this for myself and a friend as a wake up scent. It’s a nice scent, not too strong, kind of citrusy, kind of sweet (but not too sweet).

Aveda essential oils are a really good value for the price. I plan to get all of the scents. Hoping for a black Friday sale. Anyway, bergamot is my favorite among tangerine and eucalyptus. It’s so hard to choose a favorite though because each one evokes a different mood and feeling.

Bergamot is gently green, tangerine is invigorating citrus and eucalyptus is clearing. We all know what lavender and vanilla smell like but I can’t wait to try those scents. And spicy patchouli mmm.

An amazing oil , how this works for me. Part of my volunteering work for a local charity entails the physical hard graft of lifting , carrying and sorting used textiles. This is strenuous and dirty work but very rewarding.

At the end of a long day I go to my local spa for a rejuvenating sauna and cleansing swim. I find this oil great to lift and refresh the spirits from the fug of a stuffy day. In the sauna A few drops on a towel around my neck clears my airways and revitalises me.

Then after a refreshing swim and a cleansing shower I’ll massage a few drops into my shoulders and a couple on the soles of my feet. I return home totally uplifted ready to enjoy the evening. Thank you aveda yet another great product.

I took a break from Bergamot for a while; choosing instead my other two staple scents: Peppermint and Patchouli. But a recent experience with the Beautifying Composition Oil reawakened my love of Bergamot, so I recently ordered – opened – prepared to be immersed – and record scratch.

I couldn’t distinctly recognize any scent, let alone the one it was meant to be. I have tried it a few times since, just to ensure it’s not me that is off. But frankly, how much effort should it be to determine if something smells like what it is supposed to be.

Customer service says that the recipe and quality control level has not changed. I’m likely returning this to store. Purchased on line.

Okay, here’s what I have researched and learned: spiders do not like lavender and moths do not as well. So, here’s what I do: Every season, I put 10 drops of this lavender oil on a cotton ball, inside of a cup, and place it in any closet (*linen, clothes, jacket closet).

Every two weeks in the spring/summer, I spray a lavender water mixture throughout my home (*40 drops of lavender, in a larger spray bottle, with water) paying special attention to the beds for a beautiful scent and extra spider control.

I don’t really use it as much directly on my sensitive skin, but I do often put in my hair for a lovely, light, relaxing lavender fragrance. I buy it all of the time, and give it to friends and family for the same reason.

I have read that lavender oil works for blemishes, but my skin is too sensitive to really try that, but it certainly helps me relax and keep my home free from a lot of spiders.

Bought this after having surgery and have been wiping down small strategic pieces of furniture in my recovery room where my day bed is in front of the tv, i put the wiping rag after into my pillow case slept like a baby only waking up after the alarm came on which I never do.

This is that kind! If you’ve ever smelled an actual patchouli plant, it usually smells quite different from all the oils, candles and incense sticks out there. Real patchouli is a very mild, warm, sort of spicy scent that’s gentle, not overpowering.

This oil smells like the actual plant. It’s a wonderful,wrap-around-you kind of smell. More like a hug than a blow to the head. Get this. It’s great!.

This deodorant is the best! I have tried several other all natural and aluminum free deodorants. They don’t really work and I always sweat and smell musty after applying and wearing for a while. They also leave this weird dry but waxing film that causes irritation from friction.

With this secret deodorant I don’t sweat, and if I do you can’t smell me! I actually really, really, really like the scent and when I first got this I kept asking myself what the smell was so I could purchase it to wear.

I looked into rose and geranium oil to wear as a rollerball perfume I liked this scent so much. It is very “earthy”, like something you would smell at an all natural store or something they’d use in aromatherapy.

It doesn’t smell like rose at all. It’s a warm, dry, and kind of spicy scent. A little exotic, and a tad Smokey, but feminine. I’m so glad I finally found a deodorant I can wear with confidence, knowing that it’ll keep me dry and fresh and also keep me safe and healthy by omitting aluminum from its ingredients.

The only complaint I have is that it’s not clear. It is a deodorant that leaves a white cast on clothing or cakes up in the pit if you use to much. It is also a little hard to apply until it warms up.

Then it has a slight powdery and coconut oil type texture. Hope this helped!.

Different strokes for different fokes. I found this product (Secret – Aluminum Free Rose + Geranium Deodorant) to be one of the best deodorants for me, my family and friends. We all have nothing but great things to say about this deodorant.

We like the smell, it last long & we don’t apply multiply layers on all day for it to work. Some of us have sensitive skin & make sure it’s applied on lightly & it still works great all day long. We all were looking for a more Natural & Healthier deodorant that was Aluminum Free, that smells good, and last all day long.

I’m really surprised by some of the negative reviews on here. As someone who has been using natural deodorants over ten years ago before it became trendy, this is one of the best ones on the market. I even gave it a couple weeks to make sure it wouldn’t disappoint me in some minor way.

I never would’ve thought Secret would make the best natural deodorant yet here we are. It works better for me than traditional antiperspirants which is something I thought I would never say about a natural deodorant.

Seriously, I don’t know how they did it. It’s everything I’ve been looking for in a natural deodorant. It goes on dry, which I love, and doesn’t leave any residue, something I’ve struggled with other brands.

I don’t know what else to say besides it really works and actually stops me from sweating. I don’t know how since it’s not an antiperspirant but it does. For being the best out there, it’s pretty affordable, too.
