20 Best Essences For Oily Skin (2023 Updated)

I am a huge fan of the [brand:biossance] brand so far. I love that [brand:biossance] is environmentally responsible and has a focus on sustainability. All of their ingredients are ethically clean, cruelty free, and they donate a good percentage of sales to causes like Ocean Relief, BLM, and breast cancer.

So far I have tried the gentle cleanser, pore minimizing toner, peptide eye gel, phyto retinol serum, and squalane + tea tree balancing oil. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and hormonal acne so I was a little afraid to try the Squalane + Tea Tree Balancing Oil because I’ve never met an oil that hasn’t caused me to break out.

Surprisingly this oil did wonders on my skin. I always have trouble with acne fighting products because they tend to dry out my skin, but this one did in fact balance out my skin issues. The scent can be a little intense to those not interested in tea tree oil, but for me it’s worth the earthy fragrance since it really does keep my skin hydrated while also battling my break outs.

My skin felt super smooth immediately after my first application. It took a week or two to see the difference with my acne but eventually it did help clear it up. I wouldn’t say it does anything for scarring, but I have noticed my pores are smaller and my skin has more of a glow.

Seasonally the oil can be a bit too much for my natural oily areas though and it gets my makeup brushes pretty soggy. So sometimes I’ll only use the oil on targeted spots and keep it away from the areas that don’t need more moisture.

I also have noticed that it’s helped calm redness in infected or agitated areas too. Personally I feel like this has been great for my sensitive skin and has caused no irritation. I will say this is not an overnight cure all though, so sometimes I need to use another product to target larger more deviant blemishes.

I also think it works a lot more if you’re using the lines cleanser toner and moisturizer. I also feel like I’d need to rotate different products for different seasons. I wish the bottle size was larger for the price.

Squalane can help to balance the production of sebum and it contains antibacterial properties that help fight acne. This oil is lightweight and absorbs fairly fast for an oil. It does leave my face a tad shiny for this first 10 or so minutes but doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.

I’m not a big fan of the tea tree oil scent and while I would consider this fragrance strong, once it is absorbed the fragrance disappears. I’ve been using this at night as a spot treatment when a random pimple pops up and in the creases of my nose and chin where I have some tiny closed comedones.

This has worked wonders on those areas. It has helped minimize pores, calm my redness down, soothe dry areas, help hydrate and balance out my skin. PROS: – Cruelty Free and packaging is recyclable – Doesn’t irritate skin – Lightweight – Hydrating – Has helped to soothe redness – Has helped reduce the appearance of pores and blemishes – Doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy CONS: – Tea Tree Scent is strong but goes away once absorbed – Takes a few minutes to fully absorb.

I have oily skin. So, for a long time I would stay completely away from oil and oil based skin products. However, I also have acne scars so I look for treatment moisturizers. THIS is a secret weapon in my skin care army.

The squalene helps to keep a homeostasis in my skin and the tea tree helps treat the pesky acne scars. I use this in the summer and in the winter, I use it over the Omega Repair Moisturizer and wow! My face feels soft and keep a luminous glow with out looking like a batch of chicken grease.

If you don’t have this product, you are seriously missing out.

Let me start by saying I don’t usually like to leave bad reviews. However I’m a bit confused on all the amazing reviews this product has and for the price point, I figured I save someone $52. I purchased this product because of all the amazing reviews it had.

I have sensitive, combination and acne prone skin. I really wanted to incorporate an essence into my routine to help with hydration. I bought two bottles because I for sure thought with all the amazing reviews and the ingredient list this was going to be a holy grail for me.

I used this for about a month morning and night after my cleanser and it did nothing for me. I stopped using it and notice no change in my skin after either. Therefore I know this product was ineffective.

Usually if a product is working for me I would notice a difference in my skin as soon as I stop using it. I gave it two stars because the packaging is nice and it didn’t irritate or cause breakouts. However for $52 I expected more from this product.

This is so necessary for my skin when I have super dry spots. I stumbled upon this absolute gem of an essence actually on accident when I was looking for the Artemisia one (also one I would HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and I am glad I did.

If you need an extra dose of moisture, use this on one of the Japanese cotton wipes and soak it with the liquid. Place it on the dry spot and leave it about 15-20 minutes. You’ve heard of the double cleanse.

well now you have heard of the double moisturize. Do the spot moisturizer a few times a week if you need the extra moisture. It will help with peeling and dryness should not be an issue. This one is super moisturizing and it just MELTS into your skin.

It always feels like it starts absorbing into my hands before I even have the chance to pat it into my face haha but no joke this is definitely something that’s absorbent and will help treat your skin.

Pretty bottle, no scent whatsoever, applies well. I have super dry, sensitive skin that I use coconut oil on my face for hydration. This essence has the texture of water, no scent, that I apply instead of toner.

Nothing exceptional, but have not had any reactions and it pairs nicely with my second essence (Hanskin Hyaluron Skin Essence) to last all day without feeling dry or stiff by the end of the day. I don’t mind it, but might try other toners to see if I have a go-to, like my Hanskin.

I have purchased several oils from Desert Essence as well as other brands. This one is easily my favorite! I think I’m on bottle #4. Seriously, I love it. Hydrating, not too thick, light scent, makes my skin look/feel lovely.

I always put this oil on my face/neck/chest before I go to bed. Sometimes I even reapply if I wake up in the middle of the night. And you better believe I frequently lube up any time I’m not wearing makeup.

This essential oil blend is lovely. I’ve been using it for about a week, and my middle-aged face is looking healthy and moisturized. (My hands feel softer, too. ) I’m prone to breakouts and so far this hasn’t caused any.

The fragrance is light and vaguely like citrus, but not overpowering at all. So far, a great find!.

Missha Time Revolution Artemisia Treatment Essence Mist is a soothing and skin balancing essence that is formulated with 100% double fermented Artemisia Extract. Great for setting your makeup or using throughout the day for a moisturizing or calming boost.

The scent is herbal and earthy but I also get a cinnamon scent as well. The mist is fine, leaving the essence lightweight on the skin and it absorbs quickly. I find the mist version the easiest to use for layering.

Always leaves my skin feeling hydrated/moisturized and visibly more plump. What’s great about the mist version is that you can use as a treatment for irritation, layering, setting your makeup, or to help keep your skin hydrated throughout the day.

I always pull this or the bottle version out when my skin is stressed, compromised, or red. It helps speed up the recovery, soothes, and works to strengthen the skin’s barrier. I would recommend for those with sensitive, acne prone, combination, and dry skin.

I’ll start off by saying this is by far the most expensive product in my skincare line at $55. I first bought this for $30 at TJ Maxx and even then thought. wow this is a lot (separately, would recommend checking your local TJ Maxx/Marshalls for Korean skicare b/c I’ve seen some Cosrx and Missha products among others pop up in the last year!).

I could say unfortunatley I fell in love with it because now I’m shelling out the $$ haha 🙂 One bottle lasts me 7 months though, so if you wait for sales or stock up your points to redeem for this product it really isn’t that expensive to only spend it twice a year! This is a super lightweight essence (more akin to a toner I suppose).

I use it as my first step in my morning routine. I’ve come to love the earthy smell – and of course I just immediately fell in love with the packaging itself! Wow it just feels so classy with the brown frosted glass packaging (the glass is, I suspect, the main reason for the high price).

The ingredient is almost 100% mugwort extract, which I didn’t know what it was until looking into it and I’m glad I purchased and discovered this ingredient! I think it’s really helped clear any acne from my skin and combat the small breakouts I do infrequently get.

Again, I know it’s pricey but the ingredient is one you should include in your skincare (from Missha or elsewhere), and one bottle lasts about 6-7 months! I would recommed you at least try a bottle and see if your skin benefits :).

I have been using this product twice daily for about a week now and love it! It has made my skin feel softer and smoother. I was worried bc I tend to have oily skin that breaks out easily but this hasn’t bothered it at all and has actually made it feel and look better.

It quickly dries when you put it on your face so there’s no need to wait to put other products on top. I have an oily t-zone and very much dislike an oily forehead. It has been a month since I started using this product with the Niacinamide Serum 12%.

The oily-ness seems to be under control now, but my forehead does look a bit shiny at times. I’m not really sure what to do about that but at least I have the sebum production under control.

I haven’t been using the product long enough to see real results. But I’ve noticed a slight change in my skin, so that is a plus. Pores seem to be on their way to being cleaned out. Oiliness has calmed down.

I’m glad I tried this in the winter because my skin is oily but the winter and our pellet stove can also cause it to be dry. I am looking forward to see how things balance out in our humid summers.

I was skeptical on essences for a long time, and this is the first product I’ve tried so I don’t have much to compare my review to. I have combination skin that felt like it needed some extra hydration as the weather is cooling down and getting drier.

However, since my skin is combo, I didn’t want to keep slathering on more of my heavy moisturizers – hence my foray into essences. I prefer my skincare to have minimal ingredients and be fragrance free, so this Hanskin product checked off both those boxes! I’m usually sensitive to new products and can experience some breakouts, but did not notice any negative reactions from my skin to using this from day one which is a relief! I did notice some benefit to my skin’s hydration, but even more than hydrating my skin itself, this product seems to help my moisturizer absorb better when I layer it on top.

My skin feels even softer than when I used to just use the moisturizer! I did see one reviewer say to apply this on damp skin to help it lock in moisture more, so I’ll definitely be trying that to see if there’s a difference.

The only cons for this product in my opinion are the texture and packaging. Again, I’m new to essences so I’m not sure how they’re supposed to feel, but this goes on tacky and sticky (although it dries down without any tackiness/stickiness within about 30 seconds max so it’s not a huge deal).

The packaging is so frustrating though! It’s hard to shake out the right amount from the bottle, which is a hard plastic so you can’t squeeze it. Would really prefer that this come with a pump. Overall, though, I do really like this product and will keep using it because there’s enough of a benefit to my skin and it’s a decent price and size! Plus, given how lightweight it is, I think it will be good to use during all seasons and not too heavy come summer.

This is one of my favorite products in the line! It is so soothing and hydrating. I love to use this after treatments or even as a light moisturizer. This, without fail so far, treats my skin irritation.

I have combination skin that’s easily irritated it seems so whenever I try something new and it stings or just is generally terrible and I have to rinse it off, this stuff comes to the rescue. I’ve used a lot of these kind of hyaluronic liquid essences and toners ( all kinds of Korean, Japanese and American brands) and THIS is my absolute favorite to date.

I have yet to try a Hanskin production to disagree with my skin. I find all their products are agreeable with every season, especially the extreme heat. I cannot wait to try the cleanser from this line!.

Man this is good. I’ve been rocking with the shave stuff for a couple of years (that aftershave balm is 🔥🔥) but I’ve never really branched off into the other stuff. I just found out at 40 about the whole “don’t use regular lotion on your face” so I don’t have any other face lotion/moisturizer to compare it to.

But aww man this is perfect for my skin. Doesn’t make my face look greasy. I love it. I might holla at the face wash next.

I’m happy with my purchase. I have always liked using bevel products. Now that I keep my beard, I no longer use the shave kit. However, I’m happy to continue using the skin moisturizer. I now use the skin toner.

I never had much of facial routine but I can honesty say I do like the way the moisturizer feels and looks after I apply it. Unlike some other facial lotions, this actually works all day and makes my face look good, not dry.

I think this essence need no introduction. What I would share though, is my preferred way to use it. This essence is what you want to use if you want immediate effect of glowing, translucent skin. Just incorporate this in your skincare routine for 2-3 days and you’ll see brighter and overall improved complexion.

But the effect will only last as long as you are using it. So if you skip a day or two, you’ll see the difference. Instead of using it daily, I like to use it as an intense pre-special event treatment.

If I have an event coming up, I would start including the essence in my daily skincare routine at least a week prior. 2 weeks would be best.

For the first two weeks of using the Glass skin series, I had the most radiant skin of my life – my skin has been clear for years, thanks to Korean Skin care & a clean diet, but the Glass skin brought out a gorgeous otherworldliness.

And then. the cystic acne. And cluster acne. Aiee. I really want to love this stuff, and I’ve read that the acne can happen because of the greater cell turnover due to the hyaluronic acid, so I’m now experimenting with steaming my face nightly, and have also moved down from two pumps of the glass skin serum morning & night (to my face and neck) to just one pump at night, mixed with organic argan oil.

First I apply this essence, then the serum, and then the Matcha cream. (And on top of that, if I think a little more moisture might help, I put on some Cerave, just because it’s less speedy. ) It’s possible this might help.

TBD! At this point I won’t repurchase, obv, but if these changes help, wow, I’d re-buy forever. That said, I’d love advice anyone has – This stuff is absolutely worth a shot, but with caution.

I’m physically pained because I love this so much but I’m having to fight the urge to buy before I use up my other brands. Back story- this was my first essence ever, I got it in the trial kit. I instantly fell in love but I had nothing else to compare it to, so I thought well maybe it’s just that I like essences in general.

Multiple brands later. I wish I would have just spent my money on buying this in the full size originally. This essence isn’t “too” of anything, it really is the perfect balance of all that you would want in an essence.

The issue I’m having with other essences are that they’re nice, they’re hydrating, but they don’t feel like they’re doing much for my skin beyond that initial fresh sensation. This essence works for me, and I don’t mean it works for my skin I mean it WORKS, like it fights hard for my skin when I’m wearing it.

I can tell the difference when I’m wearing this and when I’m wearing any other essence. It calms my rosacea, it helps heal my blemishes- and normally something that fights acne you’d think of as drying but this is not that.

It’s just the perfect blend. I will say if you’re looking for a straight essence for hydration this is not that- it definitely helps with hydration but it’s not as hydrating as some. But it has more actives and other goodies that do more for your skin.

My one complaint is the price- I was thinking this was cheaper than the Primera miracle seed essence but it’s actually almost exact when you factor in the mL per bottle (this comes in a smaller bottle than the Primera).

That’s pretty pricy for an essence. It’s hard to justify because I’ve found things that are 80% as good for 1/5 of the price, so is this really worth it- it depends. It’s worth it to me because I will never be satisfied using the others after I’ve used this and know all it can do for my skin.

But unfortunately because there’s comparable options for so much cheaper it just may not be worth it for everyone.

This was the first essence I’ve ever tried. Although I loved it, I thought well there might be more in the world of essences. After I searched around and tried out other products I discovered that this stuff was the best.

Overall I’ve been using this for three months minus the brief interim where I tried other things. The best way I can describe this is that it just makes my skin healthy. Nothing has helped with keeping my skin healthy like this has.

Which sounds so crazy to say for an essence but this is that miracle product. Normally essences are a non-essential step, a happy addition but optional. This one is actively working to maintain your skin, it’s the perfect balance of hydration and acne control.

It minimizes my pores, controls oil production (mildly), it helps improve the texture of my skin over time, it helps minimize my rosacea, and it helps heal my pimples. Now for cons. although this does not aggravate my rosacea, over time I have had a little more sensitivity to this product.

Meaning that if I have little pimples (which are open wounds) there will be slight stinging upon application. I will also say I’m using a lot of actives- retinol, AHA, BHA, vitamin C which adds to my skins potential for reaction.

However I don’t mind the slight initial stinging since it is actually treating my pimples. This does contain My last con is the price. This is very expensive guys. $40 is a lot, but you also have to factor in the size of the bottle which is significantly smaller than the average essence bottle.

This is actually more expensive than Primera’s miracle seed essence (per fluid ounce), which is known as being a pricier product. So the question is is this worth splurging on, I think that depends. The simple fact of the matter are that there are a LOT less expensive essences that do a good job (albeit not as good).

So if you have some extra money to burn, I would try the P&L Glass Skin Discovery Kit to trial this essence before you invest in the full size.

I have combination skin that seems to get more oily before bedtime (going to guess that’s because my pain is increased from my chronic condition and thus I sweat). This little number keeps me from waking up to extra zits around my nose and chin.

Your results will be subtle at first. Heck, if you’re slapping this on for clear skin for maintenance you’re going to ask “what am I doing, this is so expensive”. Forget one day and suddenly. They’re there.

The dreaded acne that comes up because your face is a sweaty mess since you’re fighting against a condition that you refuse to lose again and it’s making your beauty routine pretty unpredictable. The smell is pleasant.

Not perfume-y but lightly herbal without being obnoxiously medicinal. I don’t have to massage my face and beat the skin to get the essence to absorb. I just have to pat gently. I’m going to advise caution? This is drying.

While I consider this product the new holy grail that keeps my routine together, I have to dedicate my morning/day to hydration and my night to ceasing oil production because I know my body is working against me at every step.

This little bottle may be drying for those of us with combination patches and those of us who look at moisturizer wrong and we get cysts hanging off our chin and necks. You know, that kind of combination.

Where our face can’t decide if a pool of sebum is going there, our nose is sandpaper just because the wind blew the wrong way, and our forehead is fine today. But if you have problem with being oily at certain parts of the day or your acne may be related to what you know is errant oil production (this took me years of watching my skin do its thing), you might get some relief from a gentle patting of this at some point in the day.

But you’re really going to need to moisturize after this.

For those of you who don’t know, an essence is basically a serum. I had no idea before I purchased this what I should expect so hopefully this helps! This is a very lightweight formula that dries down very quickly and sinks into the skin, leaving no trace.

It has a slight herbal smell, not unpleasant but not perfume-like either. I thoroughly enjoy using this both day and night, as it sinks down into the skin and doesn’t affect anything I layer on after it.

I would not say it is a hydrating formula, though it doesn’t dry the skin out, merely helps reduce the oiliness of the skin, I think by way of balancing out what your skin needs. I think it does work really well and seems to hold off the oil in my skin for much longer than if I were not to wear it at all.

I still get oily by the end of the day, but I highly recommend trying it if you have very oily skin!.

This is the only product that I have seen to actually shrink my nose pores. They were ginormous and gross and after just 2 weeks of use they had shrunk considerably. I hope it continues to improve but honestly I’m still shook at how great this stuff is.

I apply it only in my T-Zone because I have combo skin. It has helped my skin stay matte in 90+ temps this summer too!.

I can honestly say I fell in love with the product when I saw the ingredient list. Unlike other snail products, this product does not have a sticky-extending form. The essence has a lightweight, watery-gelly texture and is especially great for treating acne-prone.

It is very easy to apply to and spread on the skin. I can’t say that it gives moisture to the skin, but it creates a nice support under your moisturizer. My sensitive skin loved that it was fragrance free.

It also calmed and extinguished my allergic acne. Especially since we are in the summer, this lightweight structure helped me a lot. It was a product that I always wanted to include in my morning routine on hot summer days.

It’s too early to talk about wrinkles, I believe it can show its anti-aging effects from the second bottle. There is nothing bad I can say about the product. I can recommend it to anyone who is sensitive, acne-prone and loves snail content.

It is a product that I will repurchase when it runs out. It gave me a successful and fulfilling product experience.

This (and the Neogen Micro Ferment Essence) has changed my skin: my skin has become soft and juicy, like a ripe plum that’s bouncy yet juicy under the skin (the process is gradual but i’ve become aware of the change after about 3 weeks).

(+) the skin texture has improved after using it (give it time, it will work wonders) (+) it’s hydrating but in a very soft way, i think they were cautious with the emollients (+) it has a gel texture but it’s so light, watery like when absorbed.

I received this sample size product for free via a donation to healthcare workers from Ulta. Not too sure about this product. The bottle itself is very nice in the fact that it is well made and a sturdy hard plastic.

The formula is thin but just thicker than water so be sure not to spill when pumping onto your fingers. It is lemon scented which I was not a big fan of as it was a bit chemically in smell. It disappears quickly into my skin but it left me wanting.

My skin still felt slightly tight and dry after cleansing and I feel that it made no real difference. Maybe I didn’t use enough but I also didnt want to use too much. I will have to try it again but for now it’s not one of my favorites.

HOLY GRAIL! hop on this product immediately if u can afford it. I have used this so much and it’s a miracle worker. Completely transformed my skin in a week. It’s an essence so u apply it right before ur moisturizer.

It sinks into ur skin like a hydrating serum and brightens, evens out texture and pigmentation. Softens ur skin. Literally makes my skin glow! U have to use this consistently everyday to see the results but I’ll see them immediately.

My skin always feels super cool on the inside when I use it. It stops my acne whenever I’m using it constantly. My staple, skin holy grail. If I had to pick between all my products including makeup it would be this essence!!.

Really, really awesome!!! I absolutely love the Hungarian Water Essence from Belif. This product is a very lightweight one that your skin will just drink up, which is saying something considering I have super oily skin! This doesn’t make my skin oilier or clog my pores, which is super important to me in a product.

I use it after cleansing and toning, and before applying moisturizer (the Aqua Bomb gel moisturizer –also from Belif– is a great one for oily skin, too!). The scent of the Hungarian Water Essence is also fantastic, and I just love the way it feels going on my skin, and the way it leaves my skin feeling.

It’s like a refreshing drink of water for my skin; which, again, is OILY, so I can’t imagine how incredible it must feel on dry skin!!! The only drawback is the price. If not for the price, I would buy this product before I ever ran out.

But alas, sadly I can’t afford to keep it on hand. It’s totally worth the money though, so I won’t take off a star for the price. I highly recommend this product!.

Not my favourite Huxley essence. My skin reacted badly to this one, probably because there’s alcohol in this formula. However, that doesn’t say it’s a bad product. It’s nice and hydrating, smells really good and the packaging is gorgeous.

If my skin wasn’t so sensitive, I would have absolutely loved it!.

This one was a bit of a disappointment for me. I think it’s better suited for people with oily/combo skin cause it did not do anything for my dry skin. Pluses: no fragrance, absorbs super fast, and there is no residue on the skin when it dries.

Minuses: a bit drying. Would not recommend for people with dry skin.

I’ve just discovered Korean skincare thanks to my sister who insisted that I try a 5 step regimen which included this serum. I learned the importance of application techniques. Ex: Pat, pat, pat it into your skin instead of smearing it on and being sure to take the time to let it soak in before applying the next product.

I use 1 large drop on my face, concentrating only on the driest areas and then follow up with a cream. The serum absorbs into my skin after a few minutes. It has an aloe-like texture, is not oily at all, and has the same light, refreshingly pleasant botanical scent as the cream.

In combination with other K skincare products (beauty water, treatment essence, moisturizer), my skin has never looked better. My only regret is that I didn’t start using this line sooner. Highly recommended!.

This is like the great love of your life. even if you try to escape it, you always go back! This is one of my OG best in life products. If has just at touch of acne ingredients but not nearly as much as those targeted toward “acne” skin.

It will keep blemish prone, combination, and oily skin in check. This is amazing as it has sort of a powder smooth finish almost like you put on primer but it mattifies so well I often skip my primer.

This is the ONLY moisturizer that is oil-free that actually has enough moisture but also does not make my skin an oily mess after a few hours. This will hold your makeup well and is just so amazing. My skin has never been clearer then when I stick to this lines toner and moisturizer religiously.

As a make-up artist and skin care specialist, I am always trying the latest greatest product, but no matter how many great, expensive, exclusive, made in gold- and caviar products I have tried. nothing to me gives better overall moisture, oil control, pore refining and smoothness than this moisturizer.

I have been using since 2003 and it is the best! I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS 6 STARS.

This was one of my favourite and go-to moisturizers when I was a teenager. It was light enough to not feel heavy on the skin and left my face feeling very hydrated and not looking or feeling oily by the end of the day.

I have not used this in years, but would definitely be open to repurchasing it. As I’ve aged, my skin has changed and become more dry and other moisturizers were better suited. As of late, I’ve become more normal to oily again.

The texture of the gel cream is lovely. Shiseido is a brand you can count on and I would highly recommend this product.

I brought it two months ago, and I use it as my first step after washing my face. It hydrates my face instantly, and I also use Double Serum and the Bright Plus serum together as my second step. All my friends said that my face looks brighter, and I also feel this way too.

I got dark when I went to Miami during Spring break with my friends, and my forehead got darker. But now my overall skin looks even and brighter. And my face feels smoother as well. These three products are so good, and I recommended to all my friends.

Bought this a month ago and loving it more than I expected to. Definitely the perfect compliment to any skincare routine that focuses on brightening up dull skin. Seems to also be improving my skin texture too.

Only used it for a few day, I have hyperpigmentation patches on both of my cheeks and I think it has made a slight improvement. They are not as dark. I really hope that with time and continuous use they will fade.

I love this product, it’s within my price point I’ve actually read the reviews, read the ingredients on the bottle and used the product and let me tell you these are fabricated stories. For one this is actually one of the cleanest facial oils on the market got me wondering why I even paid more.

It does have potential to break you out as do oils. PERIOD. But it boils down to your skin sensitivity, now if you have skin like mine you try to stay away from pore clogging coconut oil, with that being said I can but only in moderation, besides facial oil is to be used at your skin’s driest times like before bed or colder months, I’ve used it b4 work because it helps retain the moisture from my moisturizer that the mask absorbed throughout the day.

Other than too much use, coconut oil sensitivity and the chemical that makes it super lightweight, which it is! I can’t think of anything else that would break you out AND THE GLOW IS AMAZING, THE ROSEHIP OIL IN IT LITERALLY HELPS MY ENLARGED PORES.

I needed a oil for my face but I didn’t have the funds, but I stumbled across this section at Ulta and I was so glad I did. Now if you have that viral mascara, like me, you were probably wondering about the other items from this brand.

So I checked the ingredients on the bottle, surprisingly despite the price point or the “cheap” in your face label. This oil is amazing, now WARNING THIS PRODUCT AS A AROMA, NOT A SCENT AROMA. IT SMELLS LIKE MENS COLONE.

Now I’m single and I love the fresh, clean, not over whelming scent of a man and that is this item’s fragrance. It’s smells like a man. please try it surprisingly it will not break you out. Great for sensitive skin unless you’re sensitive to scent, then yeah this might not be for you.

I haven’t been using this product long, but since starting it, I have started breaking out across my cheeks way more. The pores on my nose/cheeks have gotten larger and full of gunk. Applying this oil makes my face go red and burn/itch immediately, and then in the morning my skin is extra greasy.

Definitely not going to keep using it!.

Thought I’d give this a try cuz it’s a better value than the tatcha essence however after trying this one I was very disappointed. As soon as I took off the cap I could smell the alcohol and sure enough it’s the second ingredient which shocked me.

Alcohol is very harsh and drying on your skin, not sure why it’s in an essence that’s supposed to hydrate and enhance your skin care!? Returned right away. Stick to the tatcha, it’s more expensive but incredible.

I love the Cle de Peau concealer, so thought I would try another of their products. I have oily skin and found the description of their refining essence appealing. It is a pleasant feeling and smelling product, but I have very oily skin and it does nothing to manage it.

If you have normal skin that gets a tiny bit shiny at times this may help, but if you have truly oily skin forget it. My oil is breaking through within a half hour.

I use this every evening. I like its smell, and it contains alcohol and needs to be shaken before use. I put it on my forehead first, then put it all over my face. I think it will help smooth out fine lines.

It also has the effect of narrowing pores and make my face look much smoother. It is a miracle.

I received a free sample in the mail from Lancôme to try and review. Since it’s sample sized I only used once a day for 2 weeks. One of the main things I like about this essence is that is prepares your skin for the remainder of your routine and helps them to work better.

The texture is a water like and it absorbs quickly into the skin. Skin began to feel softer during week 1 and by week 2 my skin felt smoother. Over the 2 weeks my skin has looked healthier. I was expecting a lot more to this when it came to hydration but I just didn’t get it.

It does work great with other hydrating products. I would recommend it to all skin types PROS: – Doesn’t irritate my skin – Prepares the skin for rest of routine – Absorbs quickly – Skin is softer after use – Skin began to feel smoother at week 2 – Skin looks healthier CONS: – Didn’t see any reduction in pores – It didn’t give me that punch of hydration I expected.

This oil was nice and didn’t have any harmful ingredients or fragrance (tea tree oil is one of the few essential oils that actually benefits the skin). It did sooth my redness a bit and I found it nice for the dryer winter months.

However I can’t comment on it’s acne fighting properties as I don’t have acne prone skin. It was however enjoyable while I was using it, but I wouldn’t repurchase it because I didn’t find it to make that much of a difference with my skin.

However it is a good price and the ingredients are good, if you’ve never tried face oils before and have acne prone skin.

This is one of the best skin care products i have bought from here. It fixed my skin so good. It is really hydratimg without making my skin oily. Which is a big problem with me. And i had like little bums everywhere but nude colour, not white.

And before3 i purchased thid item i was thinking that i could never have that flowless skin that i see on my friends. Now i do!!! Used this twice a day after cleansing amd toning and my skin started from the first week to change and become beautiful glowimg and flowless.

It’s amazing. Then my boyfriend trief it and now he is love witb this item too.

When I first started using it, I immediately noticed that after applying it the night before, it had prevented oil accumulating around my nose. This was unfortunately short lived. I have since finished it (took 4 months, applied morning and night).

I don’t really think it made much of a difference in my skins appearance overall. It might have helped a little with sebum control. The pump packaging and small opening also meant there was some products still inside that I couldn’t remove before throwing it out.

It’s an ok product, but I think there are better ones out there so I won’t be repurchasing.
