20 Best Espresso Beans For Superautomatic (2023 Updated)

I was looking forward to tasting the Lavazza Tierra Selection again because the first time I tried it I was very impressed and thought this was the blend I would buy from now on. It was a while before it was available again so just recently tried it with this purchase, but I was a bit disappointed.

These beans are well balanced on the acid level to my taste, but they fall short when it comes to strength. I tried adjusting grain size and coffee volumes but it did not improve much. I went back to TOP CLASS, which is what I normally use, and I was able to get really good strong shoots with a good amount of crema.

I think I will stick with the TOP class for now. However. I just noticed that the picture of the coffee beans bag that came from the review request is Not the same as the Tierra I received with the order.

Im attaching a pic of what I received. I also have a pic of the tierra i tasted a while back. Bag is slightly different.

I was a little miffed about the $12. 50 shipping charge on the coffee, but this was quickly overlooked once I got the first taste. I did not realize at first this was a 2lb bag either, but man this stuff is nice and smooth! Not acidic like some of the other coffees I tried.

Not greasy either which is nice. Thank goodness, I have not seen any rocks in this like alot of users on Amazon report. I must say, so far I am thoroughly impressed with this coffee. ***I am using this with my Gaggia Prestige with the most fine grind setting so far and only straight expresso and Americano’s so far.

I have not tried with any milk based drinks or different grind settings thus far***.

I had the SCG single origin subscription for the past year or so and I thought I would change it up by going for the “Super Crema”. I am now on my third bag (and I won’t be ordering another). I can tell you with great confidence that the name “Super Crema” is a misnomer.

During my bi-weekly single origin subscription over the course of a year or so, I’ve pulled thousands of shots, dark to light roasts, and for the vast majority of them, I’ve managed to get a healthy crema.

Not so for the “Super Crema”. After going through three 2. 2 lbs bags, varying doses, brew ratios, temps, etc. , I still get shots with little to no crema. So, it’s back to a single origin subscription for me.

Perhaps it is the fact that SCG ships you bags of “Super Crema” that were roasted nearly 6 months ago or more, whereas the single orign subscription, the bags typically were roasted a week or so ago.

Not sure. But, whatever the case, it is not “Super Crema” and I wish someone would have told me that three bags ago. So, I’m doing it for you. You’ve been warned.

Purchased a 1kg bag of this coffee from another supplier. It arrived tight and perfectly vacuumed. Beautiful coffee. Sweet and slightly acidic like a medium roast Kenyan arabica. More to my liking than the Super Crema which I also purchased.

It had more of a strong and bitter, burnt robusta aftertaste. So pleased with the Crema e Aroma that I ordered these two 1kg packs via Amazon. These 2 1kg bags arrived this morning and I am very disappointed to find that one of the bags is no longer a vacuum.

It is completely loose and I can rattle the coffee beans freely around the bag by gently shaking. There is nill resistance to the bag when squeezed and the coffee beans move around freely. Also it is extremely easy to smell the coffee.

There was no damage to the delivery box. The second bag is quite similar though not just as bad. I established a return to register my disappointment as the review option was not yet showing, but I stated due to the current Covid19 restrictions and the need to travel to actually get the packages returned, I would not actually be going out to return them.

Considering my age, current health, and my rural location this not really an option. Not pleased, as I ordered in the first place to minimize shopping away from home. Such a disappointment. UPDATE EVENTUALLY GOT OUT AND RETURNED THESE WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT AND AMAZON REFUNDED THE COST.

Pike Place Starbucks coffee whole bean is my favorite but with the price of groceries lately I’ve started buying Verena Street Coffee and for someone who thinks they are picky about their coffee I have to say I love this stuff! The first flavor I tried was the Lock and Dam and enjoyed so on our latest grocery haul we picked up another Lock and Dam and tried a new flavor the Mississippi Grogg, my wife and I LOVE it! My wife even commented on how great the whole house smelled after brewing the Mississippi Grogg! Definitely seemed to have found a new coffee producer I love.

I have been buying the Starbucks glass bottle Caramel Frappuccinos for a long time and I absolutely love them, but I had never tried the caramel ground coffee before. Honestly. I didn’t even know they had a caramel ground coffee; so when I saw this, I just had to try it.

With any ground coffees or hot coffees, I always have to add sugar and sweetened creamer because I cannot stand unsweetened coffees or strong coffee taste. I can’t even stand hot tea because it’s not sweet at all.

This coffee, if made the way it is recommended for good, smooth caramel taste, is actually really delicious. I still have to add a little bit of sugar to make it to how I prefer it, but I have never once had to add creamer to this.

I love this coffee so much that I even took some of it with me to the place I do volunteer work at and shared it with them. Even they agreed with my thoughts on this which is that. this coffee is delicious, smooth, and not heavy on the coffee taste if made right.

I will definitely be getting this coffee again.

I love coffee and have a grinding and brewing machine all in one. Call smell coffee as you entire my home with this process; just like old percolators from my childhood. My only problem is the cost. I love Coffee Bean, but really want 100% Columbian, which is even more expensive.

I used the less expensive Morning brew and it was not as tasty. Anyway, this big bag lasts me a little over 3 months, and I rarely have visitors. So, you know I love coffee. But, on a fixed income, it is getting difficult to resume all that I love.

I like the idea of having a large bag, which tastes good til the end, and I do squeeze out the air each time I open it as well as keep the entire bag in a metal canister. Stays fresh all that time. LOVE IT, and hope this brew is closer to the one I really wanted, 100% Columbian.

Since then the results have been fantastic – wonderful flavor, but not bitter if made stronger if that is what you prefer. Don’t think I can live without this coffee. Great price for Mandheling Sumatra.

I order this for my son and his wife. They have a double coffee grinder, with regular coffee on one side and decaf on the other. It’s easy to find whole bean coffee in regular, but really hard to find it in decaf.

I discovered that Jet. com carried it and have been ordering ever since. The coffee is great, and unlike some watery looking decaf, its both rich in flavor and color.

I took a chance on these coffee beans and am pleasantly surprised. They are a bit on the dry side and grind up nice, a couple tablespoons or so makes a very delicious cup of coffee in my aeropresso. Nice caffeine hit too.

Would buy again.

this was bought n shipped to my son but i have yet to hear back from him on the quality of the coffee as he is waiting to finish off the bag of coffee he is currently using. but i know from experience that anything from coffee bean direct will be a quality product.

I have tried a couple of the Hausbrandt roasts and have enjoyed all of them. The Nonnetti did not disappoint. In my opinion the smoothest so far. I would recommend. Smooth deep flavour.

I first had this amazing organic coffee at my girlfriend’s house. The aroma of the vanilla bean was lovely and flavorful. This was slightly surprising because most organic beans have a stronger flavor.

I enjoyed my fresh cup of coffee so much that I splurged on a bag to share with my mom. This is one of those products that can’t be kept a secret.

I’m not sure where one can buy this product, but my aunt gave me a bag about a week ago because she knows how much I love coffee. I love it!! It is so smooth and rich! It also has the right amount of cinnamon and vanilla so it doesn’t over power the coffee taste.

I ground the coffee in my home mill and found it to be better than Starbucks and all the other coffee roasts. Robust and clear tasting Will buy more.

A medium roast with a clean and lightly roasty basic coffee flavor with some faint caramel and nutty flavors that you have to search for. Still a nice cup either brewed or from a moka pot. There are definitely worse coffees out there.

So much depends on personal taste but I find this coffee to have a good flavour, nice crema and isnt harsh. I use a bean to cup machine and am always on the lookout for a great coffee. I would buy this one again.

This is a great tasting coffee that grinds well. It is rather strong but you don’t need to add a lot of milk or sugar to calm the strongness down. The price is great too. I would recommend it.

I don’t really prefer my espresso beans already ground but they had this at the office so I gave it a try. They grind was actually perfect which doesn’t seem to be common. Very creamy strong espresso!

We love a coffee first thing in the morning. some coffee beans have not been to our taste so it was with a little apprehension that we purchased this product. We both agree that it is highly rated by us.
