Eraser for colored pencils is used to erase mistakes or unwanted pencil marks from your paper. It can also be used to lighten the color of your pencils.
Vinyl drafting eraser; excellent for use on drafting films delicate drawings or tracing paper surfaces. Clean up your act and move right along with this professional quality vinyl eraser. It’s Latex free absorbs graphite and erases India Ink.
Also comes in a nifty peel-off pencil form to erase dry media in one fell swoop. 12/box.
I started using these in college because a drawing teacher recommended them, and I’ve long thought them the best erasers out there. Hadn’t bought any new ones for a while and was disappointed to find the pack that I arrived contained very bubbly erasers – one had visible air bubbles on the top and the other ones are clearly porous and full of bubbles looked at on the side.
Either quality control issues with these erasers or the quality has declined across the board. 3 stars given because all that said, they still erase stuff – but they probably won’t last nearly as long.
I was looking for some erasers, and have priced these elsewhere and have seen one eraser priced as much as this whole pack. I snatched them up. It’s great to have a variety of erasers and this set is perfect for a student or anyone who loves to sketch and draw and needs some erasers for various purposes.
Prismacolor is a great, well known and respected brand. Can’t beat the price anywhere I’ve seen. I will continue to buy these when I need more.
I used these erasers for when I am drawing and drafting on paper. It erases well and doesn’t leave streaks or smears. They last a long time and even erases light color pencil marks. I would highly recommend this product!.
Faber Castell’s Perfection 7058 is a latex-free eraser in a pencil form. Ideal for the precision erasing of graphite, charcoal and coloured pencil. The pencil’s total length is approximately 175mm and it can be sharpened easily with a suitable sharpener or knife.
The quality of an eraser and using the correct eraser are crucial for optimum results. Basically, two different materials are used to make erasers: rubber and plastic. All rubber erasers and the majority of the plastic erasers made by Faber-Castell are PVC-free and the balanced plastic mixture guarantees soft and smear-free erasing.
As someone who uses pencils more than anything else in my artwork, erasing fine details or in tight spaces has always been an issue, but this eraser with the brush on the end eliminates that problem instantly.
It erases well and the brush on the end is great for brushing away shavings or pencil dust that inevitably happens while drawing. I will always make sure to have one of these in my art supplies!.
abrasive ink erasers are simply not available in the Boise are at Staples or other such stores. Dick Blick had it though!! My use is to to clean electrical contacts in the garage door light sockets. This little pencil shaped tool is perfect for the job.
I can sharpen it, and precisely remove oxidation. Afterwards the contacts are treated with di-electric grease to protect against renewed oxidation. So far this has been extraordinarily effective. Otherwise, times have changed, and i have no ink, no typewriter errors to correct.
I don’t think this eraser will be used for its intended purpose if erasing ink.
When everybody owned a typewriter (pre White-Out era) we used ‘ink erasers’. This eraser, one of the last of its kind sold, is gritty enough to remove pencil sketched lines completely from substrates of gesso with near pin point accuracy.
If you use it in a circular hand motion it erases like an orbital sander. Works very well on cold/hot press, and bond papers. A big plus is it designed the width of an average pencil so I can sharpen it just by sticking it into my pencil sharpener.
Saves hours of time instead of sharpening the point with a razor blade. Good job ! And the ‘dust brush’ end is handy to clear away debris. I’ve purchased every eraser art stores offer, this one does the perfect trick for me.
Made with natural rubber latex and silica grit Removes colored pencil and ink marks, including ballpoint, rollerball and some marker Produced with all natural materials, with a recycled pulp sleeve. This natural rubber latex and silica grit eraser set is perfect for any artist.
It removes colored pencil and ink marks, including ballpoint, rollerball and some marker. The eraser is produced with all natural materials, with a recycled pulp sleeve.
This really does erase ink but not permanent ink (waterproof/resistant). Need pressure to erase ballpoint ink. Did a good job erasing pastel pencil and colored or watercolor pencils. The grit feature does nice highlights on watercolor but may damage paper if too hard or wet.
I like to cut my erasers in half or smaller; these are easy to size down. For two quality erasers, the price is good too. Experiment before using on artwork. I give it 5-stars for its multi-uses.
I was very hopeful about these erasers. They are very small and expensive but if they worked they would be great. I have tried them on color pencil and pen and watercolor smudges on both watercolor paper and the finely textured paper of my Alpha sketchbook.
They do not work to lift any more color than my plastic eraser. I was hoping to use them to correct small smudges and errant marks. There are other good reviews though so maybe you’ll have more luck with different paper.
They do erase somewhat and don’t scratch the paper badly but I’ll stick to my other erasers. Blick kindly already refunded the item. #sweepstakes.
Doing a lot of work in color pencils I always felt I had to be very meticulous with my work and if I made a mistake I would have to overwork and over blend my colors which can bring the quality of work down.
These erasers have been a god send! They really work! My only concern would be what kind of paper you’re working on, I typically work on thick Bristol paper, otherwise I imagine these erasers might rip regular drawing paper.
The versatile Prismacolor Premier Kneaded Eraser can be quickly shaped to precisely the area you want to erase. Whether you’re trying to clean up small spots or large areas, this extra large Prismacolor rubber eraser ensures your surfaces are left clean.
It’s designed to make quick work of colored pencils, pastels and even chalks. It’s even easy to clean the eraser itself by gently kneading it in the palm of your hand.
THIS ERASER IS IT! Ok so I know people could say kneaded erasers are overrated but you have to try it! Sure it’s fun to fidget around but the prismacolor kneaded eraser are something else. You can use it to erase small details or you can reduce the opacity of the graphite by dabbing at your drawing.
It’s easy to use unlike normal pink erasers where the shavings get everywhere and stain the paper. The kneaded eraser is clean and lasts a looooooong time. I’ve been using the same eraser for the past year- (it’s truly amazing).
The value for money for these name brand kneaded erasers are worth it. In fact buying it in a 12 pack is cheaper than buying single and these last for a long time!!! The only negative thing I could think of at the top of my head is the hardness at the beginning.
When I first opened it I was trying to knead it but it was stiff, eventually I got it soft after warming it and using it a lot. Another small issue (not that bad) but I guess I was surprised when I first got them because of their size.
They were smaller than I imagined but they got the job done and were worth it. Basically what I’m saying is that these kneaded erasers are so smooth and amazing!!!.
IMPOSSIBLE TO KNEAD. What happened to these? I have been using these erasers for years, and they were always kneadable and soft. NOT ANYMORE. I ordered two and tried to knead both of them, but even trying to stretch them a little resulted in no stretching whatsoever, just tearing.
I tried heating them, softening in warm water, etc. Nothing makes these useable. I have not purchased new ones for nearly four years, so maybe the formula changed? So disappointed.
These are true-blue perfect kneaded erasers, of the highest quality. Perfect texture, stretchy and durable, work exactly as they should. Don’t waste your money on other brands like General or Faber Castell; they look exactly the same but are so STICKY that they are unusable.
I don’t know what’s changed to make them so sticky, as this had not ever been a problem in past years. Now I’m stuck with half a dozen of the bad ones. Tried working them. Still sticky. Still useless.
Gambled one more time and bought a Prismacolor kneaded eraser. perfect!.
Ergonomically shaped eraser for comfortable, soft corrections that are smudge-free. Used for both graphite and color pencils. Attractive protective sleeve keeps fingers clean. PVC and Latex-free.
Nice to find an eraser that lifts colored pencil without scrubbing and damaging the paper! Wow! I was very glad to see this and it doesn’t compare to any of the other 10 that are supposed to be for colored pencils.
Well that should say enough but I didn’t give a 5 because the shape is hideous really. Find a better shape plllleeeaaase!#sweepstakes.
What can I say, it’s Faber-Castell. These folks make quality products, period. I favor kneaded erasers in general, but this eraser does a wonderful job in getting into those fine areas as needed without having to reshape it as we do with their kneaded counterparts.
It does equally well in larger areas. It also works very well for highlighting, much as FB’s pencil erasers do.
As one who seems to mislay erasers with alarming regularity, I am delighted to have one that is difficult to lose. The casing also keeps the rubber clean. What a superb design! You also get a lot of rubber for your money.
The Mont Marte Electric Eraser makes erasing a breeze. Turn on the eraser and let it do the erasing for you. Features Black plastic ergonomic body (118mm L x 24mm W x 20mm H) Removable metal clamp holds white eraser Supplied with 30 replacement erasers.

ARTGUM? eraser is a dual purpose eraser and dry cleaner. Dual purpose eraser and dry cleaner. Erases and cleans paper, fabric and leather without scratching or smudging. Fine dry powder cleans the drawing surface by absorbing graphite and dirt.
Block-shaped, dual purpose eraser and dry cleaner. Erases and cleans paper, fabric and leather without scratching or smudging. Fine dry powder cleans the drawing surface by absorbing graphite and dirt.
These here erasers really erase. You can pick them up, hold them and then slam them down on your mustakez, mistooks, mistakes. Rub it a little. Rub it ALOT! Then presto changeo, thoze mistooks are gonzo.
And if you got a cheese grater, you can use ’em to make a good replacement for Parmesan cheese! Yep, they’re a little rubbery on the palate but you can bet your bottom dollar they don’t have nearly as many calories! Whahoo! These bouncy little cubes are fine.
I stuff them up each nostril when I got a migraine. They don’t stop the pain but they sure look cute — just like two two peas in the pod. Except the peas is erasers and the pod is my ever-lovin’ nose.
I can’t tell you enough good things about my little eraser buddies. I’d take ’em camping with me but their hiking skills are slim. I’m already bedding down for the night when they’re just arrivin’ at the camp site.
They do play a mighty mean banjo though. I’ll give ’em that!.
Do you know those stains of finger tips that stay on the paper after the drawing is made? This gum is specially made to clean the paper although it erases a bit too. Good for those who paint watercolours, because it do not damage the paper.
And for those who likes pen drawing, to erase the traces of pencil without damaging the paper. It leaves a kind of gum powder which it is easy to clean. It is smooth and made of natural materials which permits that even a child can use it.
For those who like drawing it is a good tool to have at hand. The purpose of this gum is not to erase completly but rather to clean the paper.
Prismacolor Scholar Latex-Free Eraser Erase unwanted pencil marks and smudges with ease using the Prismacolor Scholar Latex-Free Eraser. Featuring a latex- and PVC-free design, this colored pencil eraser cleanly removes lines and other mistakes, without leaving behind smears or excessive dust.
The triangular shape makes the eraser simple to grip.
I was very impressed with this product. My whole life I’ve been using those long white staedtler erasers without a second thought, then one day while buying some other Prismacolor products I added this on a whim! It does a great job removing pencil, both coloured and regular, but I was surprised to find that the thing that really makes this superior is the shape.
It works really well for getting into those tiny tight angles.
The quality of an eraser and using the correct eraser are crucial for optimum results. Basically, two different materials are used to make erasers: rubber and plastic. All rubber erasers and the majority of the plastic erasers made by Faber-Castell are PVC-free.
Faber-Castell PVC-free erasers do not contain harmful phthalate plasticizer. Phthalates have been reported to cause several undesirable effects when exposed to the human body. The balanced plastic mixture guarantees soft and smear-free erasing.
This would never be a go to eraser for me as there is a brand out there (not sure if policy allows me to name) that performs beautifully on coloured pencil, my predominant use of it. I suspect I will use it for charcoal, just haven’t tested it on that.
The caution is, that it is highly abrasive. Repeated light pressure works best as it is easy to damage the paper. Why didn’t I give it 3 or 4 stars? Because, It is so convenient for getting in to tiny areas and because it will remove the waxes etc.
if used with a repeated light touch. Note though, the stain or colour remains, The medium is removed so it is easy to work over. It is a product that I am happy to have, but probably won’t turn to often.
The Seed For Color eraser works well for erasing colored pencils and soft graphite. Plus, the neon yellow color will brighten your day. 2.8” x 0.6” x 0.6” Plastic eraser
A pleasant surprise for something so cheap—this eraser worked so well with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils! It erased most of the pencil, leaving only a bit of color residue on the page. For a rare product that is made to erase colored pencil though, it works quite well.
I think as long as you use light to medium pressure when using colored pencil on paper, you’d probably be able to use this eraser to clean off the page. If coloring using heavy pressure (like I did), the eraser will get most of the color off the paper, but not all.
Very impressive product, overall—I might have to buy a few extra next time!.
Very nice eraser. Small, compact, fits insidde my pencil without taking up too much or being bulky. Erases color pencils very well without leaving traces of color behind. Does smudge a bit at first but cleans up color completely.
Not impressed by this one. I bought it because I do a lot of my drafts with colored pencils (Sanford Col-erase Pencils in various colors). The erasing is mediocre to terrible. Even if I don’t apply a lot of pressure on the pencils and my lines aren’t too strong, the eraser doesn’t perform any different than any average erasers.
Also the cardboard wrapper cuts into the erase when in use. It’s just a question of time until this thing will snap 🙁 Positive thing, it erases HB and B pencils pretty well (although it fails with H ones :() and the visual appeal is nice.
The bright yellow sure helps you to spot the thing super quick at your work area. But and eraser should erase and not look pretty. Definitely are not purchasing this one again. The Sakura Foam eraser W100 is a better alternative since it handles led and color pencils better than this one does.
These eraser pencils are ideal for fine-point erasing and correcting. Great for erasing graphite and colored pencils, they also work with charcoal. When their points dull, they can be sharpened just like regular pencils.
Nonabrasive, vinyl eraser is designed for use on polyester-base drafting films, delicate drawing or tracing paper surfaces. Material absorbs graphite and erases India ink. Eraser erases quickly without smudging, smearing or marring the working surface.
I can’t tell you the science behind why these erasers are superior to others, but they just are! These white erasers are like the magic eraser but for your desk instead of your kitchen! They’re a little hard to find, so when you come across them, be sure to grab them! Just a slight rub and your pencil writing comes off right away.
These also last a long time and don’t fall apart after a few uses like competing erasers.
I have some very nice archers watercolor paper I needed a high-quality meat eraser so I ordered three packs of these of the price was good. After receiving my order immediately racers were so hard that when you folded them in half and the crack and each time you pull down we will break into little pieces making them relatively unusable.
I even tried to warm them up in the oven to see if they would soften in the pliable but it was no use. I hope Blick will soon be sending a replacement pack. Although I didn’t need the other erasers I believe they will be helpful in the future but haven’t use them to match extent yet.

Very frustrating using these, as you must sharpen them to use, naturally, but you must take care, I found, to STOP sharpening halfway, so that there is almost NO POINT on the end or the eraser itself will be much too flimsy to use at all.
I ended up getting a box cutter razor and cutting the tip off nearly half the time when I accidentally went a bit too far sharpening these when using them on my pencil outlines, but it is a terrible waste of time to have to double-sharpen a silly eraser, once with a sharpener and another time with a blade, just to get a “skinny” enough tip to be able to erase the very fine lines.
I thought these would be useful in my detail work and bought them for that reason, but it turned out to be pretty much a waste of money. Only giving 3 stars because I do like the attached brush, which is thicker than any I’ve used and works well.
In both normal sketching and doll customizing, the very precise edge you can get with these eraser pencils has been very useful for erasing small mistakes and defining tiny details! And I love that they come with a brush on the end because it hurt my soul when I would sweep away eraser shavings with my hand and smudge my hard work.
Especially because so often I fail to get the lines and shading exactly right the second time around. One minor nitpick is that as far as I recall, there was no warning about being careful not to over-sharpen because the erasers are very fragile and can easily be broken if you shave off too much of the wood around it, but that’s not enough in my mind to drop the rating (also it could just be that I missed it before I chucked the packaging).
The first time I used the erasers I thought they were too soft. Of course I was merely comparing them to the Faber Castrol pencil style eraser which does not include a brush. After a few days I realized the benefit of this eraser.
The eraser does an amazing job erasing as well as not damaging the tooth of the paper which is key for any artist that needs to erase something and Murray scotch or color or pastel over the top.
The Faber-Castell DUST-Free eraser series is perfect for lead and color pencils. The eraser causes less dust and do not contain harmful phthalate plasticizer. Phthalates have been reported to cause several undesirable effects when exposed to the human body.
To date, phthalates are still commonly used to produce erasers around the world. The balanced plastic mixture guarantees soft and smear-free erasing.
I’m not sure how exciting erasers can be, but this is a quality eraser for graphite. I’ve used it often in the past and it works well by cleanly erasing (no smudges) it also tends to leave behind ‘rolls’ of eraser rather than crumbly messes.
I’ve never damaged any paper with this eraser, and it last a considerably long time. I tend to keep a few at home and one or two in my bag when I’m out and about with my sketch book. A solid value and a quality tool.
Staedtler Mars Plastic is firmer and easier to use. It cleans very well and a faster than the Faber. But it does shed more rubbings than the Faber. The Faber is softer, sheds less rubbings, but takes a little longer to clean the lead; however, the Faber is more thorough and ultimately will remove a bit more of the lead from the paper than the Staedtler.
Thus, I like them both. The Staedtler is quicker and easier to work with, but the Faber has less rubbings and is more thorough in the end. I use the Staedtler unless I want the paper very, very clean, then I’ll use the Faber.
When erasing, it will just leave 1 lump of dust, so it’s easier to flick off your page. It means you dont have to brush off loads of tiny particles. Rubber has a nice smooth feel, but be careful not to hold the rubber at the top or rub too vigorously because it will snap in half, I learnt that the hard way.
Keep the cardboard cover on as it keeps it Sturdy. This is my go-to rubber for large mistakes. Very smooth and easily erases. I will be buying more in future.
The Faber-Castell Perfection eraser pencil is perfect for precision erasing. The eraser is simple and effective to use, and is ideal for ink, Indian ink and ballpoint pens. This Perfection pencil has a brush tip at the end which is useful for brushing dust and erasing marks.
The pencil is covered with a water-based varnish which means it is smooth to hold. Latex-free. Erasing pencil measures 17. 5cm.
This is my absolute favorite eraser for what I create as a professional artist. Unlike many of the reviews here, I find this eraser-pencil sharpens beautifully with my hand-held sharpener to just the length I need without getting too long and wobbly.
I go through these eraser pencils very quickly, however, because my whole purpose in using them is to lift out tiny details or erase small, stray lines which requires frequent sharpening to keep the desired point.
They have what I consider to be a rougher, almost sand-papery texture which is great for blending in Conte or Verithin pencil lines or for erasing marks on treated/sized paper. I use this eraser along with my kneaded eraser, the latter being better for cleaner erasure of more stubborn marks.
Designed to remove both graphite and India ink, the Magic Rub Art Eraser cleanly erases on delicate surfaces without smudging or marring your work. Ideal for beginners and professionals, this latex-free vinyl eraser offers sharp corners to help you modify small details.
Prismacolor ARTGUM Eraser, For Pencil Marks, Rectangular Block, Large, Off White, Dozen – Classic Artgum eraser is the ideal companion to any school project. It erases clean without streaks. Certified AP nontoxic eraser is safe for use by students.
These erasers work very well. I have tried other erasers and these are my current top pick for my drawing classes. They do not get dirty as easily as others and they erase excellently.
I have always chosen THIS artgum through the years because of its` unmatched quality and performance. It leaves a clean, unblemished result on the surface of my work. I am always confident that it will erase very well and not leave smudges after use.
There are a few different ways to conclude your eraser for colored pencils. You can either purchase a pre-made eraser from a store, or make your own at home. If you choose to make your own, you will need to gather a few supplies including a pencil sharpener, a carving knife, and a piece of sandpaper.
Once you have your supplies, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Begin by sharpening your pencils until they are nice and sharp.
2. Next, use your carving knife to carve out a small section of the eraser.
3. Once you have carved out a small section, use your sandpaper to smooth out the edges.
4. Repeat steps 2-3 until you have carved out the desired shape for your eraser.
5. Test out your new eraser on a piece of paper to see how it works!
