20 Best Epson Ecotank For Sublimation (2023 Updated)

Well, I bought my Epson ET-2720 printer from Staples in November 2020. I have 4 kids and a wife that loves to print, print & more print! I print my work schedule everyday as well. I just refilled the black ink yesterday after 16 months of use.

WOW! With my previous brand name printer with an all-in-one ink configuration I calculated that I would have spent around $180. 00. My black ink was $13. 99. That’s a lot of groceries! Not to mention I bought the color ink because there was a 30% rewards promo at the time.

Maybe I shouldn’t have bought the color ink because the printer still gas 75% color ink remaining. Oh well, I guess I’m set for the next 10 years or so! My wife just bought one of the Epson printers for their office to also enjoy the savings.

Obviously, I can’t say enough good things about this package.

I wish it came in bigger size, as black ink is the most consumed one out of all four colors. I also want to caution that when you order it online, pay attention to the model # and/or product #, so you are ordering the correct ink.

Office Depot’s website suggested wrong products, even though I was searching by the exact printer model. I also had an concern with the delivery. It was in an open paper bag and left in the mail room of my building, where anyone can easily see inside the bag and stole it.

You are filling your printer with ink and you realize that you will be doing this only once or may twice during the rest of the year. No more running out of ink when you need because your old printer didn’t tell you.

And not buying an expensive cartridge ($50. 00 to $75. 00) every 2-3 months. That called a JOYFUL feeling. And this feeling comes from a T522 High Yield Black ink Refill.

This ink is amazing. The entire ecotank collection is amazing. I bought these refills right off the bat with the ecotank. I figured we’d need them within a week, even with ecotank’s claims. I was wrong.

We’re several hundred pages in and still doing great on ink, but we’re definitely prepared for when we run out. I always keep extra ink on hand and this package is very convenient to keep in a desk drawer.

I purchased this extra ink, so I had a replacement on hand. I am glad I did! I thoroughly enjoy this ET 2800 and how far the ink will last before a refill. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t purchase a printer and the compatible ink, like the ET 2800 with the 522 ink bottles.

This is the way of the future! Patrick.

I have owned two Epson Ecotank Printers in the past 5 years. I print a TON of paperwork in my business! My first printer lasted for over 12,000 pages. This is my second, the ET-2720 and I love it even more than the first.

These ink refills are wonderful and last, for what seems like, forever! They are very reasonably priced compared to competing printers that require cartridges. So far, I have gotten approximately 3000 pages (mostly color) out of less than 1/2 of what these refills use in my printer, and the quality is just as good, if not better, than other products.

I hope Epson continues producing these refillable printers and ink, because they truly save a TON of money! You won’t be disappointed!.

I bought this Printer in the store and was undecided between 3 printers. Then an employee and the printer department introduced me to the Epson ET M3170. I really wanted a laser printer because of the quality and the smoothness of the printer but was not happy with the money I was spending on ink for a laser printer so I was comparing prices.

This EPSON came with the ink bottle which is about $20 per bottle and supposedly would last for thousands of sheets of paper it was a little hard to believe but I purchased the printer and took it home.

The setup was very simple and I am not very computer savvy but I followed the steps 1 through 10 in the pamphlet and within 20 minutes the printer was up and running Network was hooked up and completely wireless I didn’t even have to load the software disc that came with it the computer picked up the network and my internet connectivity immediately.

After putting the ink bottle in the container I started printing and was surprised at how clean the sheets were. I have printed over 3000 sheets, between printing copying scanning and still have just below a half of ink left in the bottle.

I am not kidding it is amazing. I would have been through four cartridges by now on my other printer at 60 bucks a pop. These replacement ink bottles go for around $17. 99 in the store. I am predicting I will be able to print or copy at least another 3,000 pages before I run out.

That’s a lot of printing and copying for $20 bottle of ink. I do use the fax on it and it goes through very quickly hooked up immediately no issues. It doesn’t require any special weight of paper and have not had any jams or problems with it whatsoever it does print fast for inkjet.

I only have one gripe and that is the printer is a little loud. The difference between a laser printer and an inkjet is usually not so much the quality but the smoothness and the quietness of the laser this one is a little noisy a little loud but it does have a quiet control on it and it does quiet it down a lot other than that it is an absolutely unbelievable printer for the money.

It holds a lot of paper so you don’t have to keep loading paper it prints envelopes labels through the back of the machine very very simple to use and as long as you go through the steps in the pamphlet it should hook up immediately as mine did absolutely wonderful machine I would have never even had looked at it so thank you very much to the employee at Office Depot that introduced me to it he saved me a lot of money in printing cartridges.

This is a great printer to reduce overall toner/ink costs. However, it is not a robust business machine replacement. It takes longer than anticipated to print jobs as it is nearly half the speed of a good laser printer.

We use it for toner rich print jobs, such as info sheets with tons of text on them. It is not the best overall printer for a workforce or small office. It lacks the print speed. If you want a back-up printer or single use machine for one user, it is a great choice, but does not replace a main office printer in my opinion.

We purchased two of these for our home based business. The printing quality is equal to our laser printers! I am thrilled with that as this does not print like a usual inkjet. Impressed beyond with that! Savings: Unbelievable as we print literally hundreds of pages a day.

the ink cartridge does not seem to lessen! Insanely happy about that! Overall this is a great machine! Cons: I can’t stand the printing software! It is like going back 20 years in time and is sloppy and antiquated – two steps up from DOS (I hope they upgrade this for us, as it would have been a deal breaker for me had I known in advance).

The paper tray is a bit odd, but, I can live with it. Truly, the shining star of this machine is its printing quality and cost savings one will receive from not having to purchase ink and/or cartridges.

Epson: if you all really listen to your clients: please update the scanning software so it is not so antiquated. Otherwise, love the machine!.

The question “Is it good value?” does not allow for the answer “depends” ! Whilst this is undoubtedly cheaper than the ridiculous 12ml cartridges, it is still a kings ransom up to the cost of generic inks.

But if you are unfortunate enough to have to ring the manufacturer, you know that the first question that they will ask is: “have you used our ink, or generic ink?” ! So although this product costs several times its generic equivalent, you might feel that 0.

3p for the ink on your print is still good value.

Pros: The quality is good. Compatability I do have anything to compare the product with. Cons: Like everything associated with printing cost of ink is much too costly Epson 664 is more cost efficient.

A large box does not indicate a larger quantity of ink. However the principal of use is more cost efficient than the original designs.

I bought the Epson EcoTank EP-2850 and so far like it a lot. The ink bottles are easy to use, but DO NOT empty completely. There is 3/8” of ink still in the bottom of the bottles and no matter how many times I insert it into the fill spot, it will not empty the bottle.

To have the name EcoTank to me, means that every bit of the ink will be used with the least amount of waste. Not so with the ink. Great idea Epson, but a complete waste of ink in the life of the printer.

The pictures attached show the yellow and Magenta bottles because you can’t see the ink level on the black bottle, but it’s the same amount left in it.

The Epson Econo-Tank printers are the best. With my old printer, using the traditional ink cartridges, I was replacing my ink every two weeks. Each cartridge was from $13 – $21 EACH – and there were four cartridges.

The Epson Econo-Tank system is a completely different set up. These cartridges fill a reservoir. There is one reservoir for each color. I filled my reservoirs in October of 2019. I have not ran out of ink.

and I have done a LOT of printing. I have literally saved over $200 in ink over the last year and a half. These cartridges are pretty much “idiot proof. ” They do not leak. There is only one way to place them over the ink reservoir for refilling.

One does not shake, squeeze, or use any pressure to transfer the ink. The ink flows by gravity – and only flows when in the correct position. When the reservoir is full – the ink stops flowing. No guessing.

No mess. It’s just that simple. A very efficient and cost effective way to replenish your ink.

Our Eco Tank printer was purchased at Office Depot over a year and a half ago and it’s used regularly. This is the first black ink refill we have bought since getting the printer. Compared to cartridge refills, the cost of this bottle of black ink is far less.

Best of all, Eco Tank printers are much less expensive to refill. And the easy to see site window lets you know when to refill the color that needs it. Best color printer for the money hands down.

Just a week or so and I have used it only a little but this printer is great! Once I found the online setup process it was really good to do what I had put off for a few days because the written pages were hard to see and also they needed something exacting that the online version took into account thus I have now some recipes I just printed ready for use in the kitchen.

The screen is well lit which was NOT a feature of the previous printer. The print is naturally small due to the size of the screen – could it be made larger? I have been using a magnifying glass which compensates so.

Thank you for making such a good product. I bought it because I had previously purchased an Epson Scanner that has been glorious for many things that require a separate machine like files for medical claims and photos and even old 35mm slides that carry such precious memories.

The quality of that product lured me to try this printer. I am so glad that I did!.

It is my second, after the very reliable and extremely economic L355 that I constantly personally use the last 3 years as a teacher, bought a month ago for my university student son; and YES! the L4160 is even better.

I was fed up with cheap printers and dodgy cartridges so this looked the best way forward. The setting up instructions are not as clear as they could be and we needed a good deal of fiddling about and ‘suck it and see’ intuition to fill in the gaps.

The printer is working and it seems to work well. It is very quick. It remains to be seen if the ink llasts as long as they say it will.

The HP 502 ink I purchased because I was near the store was not the HP ink for my model ET-2650 tank printer. (Prints were not readable. ) Making a special trip to the store with the correct information, I purchased the HP664 ink.

After returning home, I cleaned out as much of the 502 as I could, replaced it with the 664 and cleaned the print head with alcohol. Printer now appears to be working fine. Apparently not all HP ink is the same.

I bought a bottle of Epson 664 eco tank yellow to refill my Epson ET 2550. I buy the Epson brand and do not buy a generic or store brand to fill. The bottle fills the reservoir and then some. That would be my only complaint is that there is too much ink in the bottle so I either keep it for the next time I need to refill (which could be a year), or I toss the extra.

I assume that this bottle must also fill up other printers that are a larger capacity than the ET 2550.

The idea of filling your own ink cartridges is technically not new, but Epson seems to have revolutionized the printer industry with it’s cartridge-free printers that instead use tanks. We’ve been please with the EcoTank system.

Since there’s a newer generation of refill bottle that is even easier, this older generation drops a star. By itself, it is 5 stars, but because it has been improved, it’s getting 4 stars.

I like it over all, enough to keep. I use it for my Photobooth and I mostly do weddings. I was hoping the print quality would be cleaner and more crisp and the speed is just ok IMO. I don’t really have anything to compare this to though.

My review is totally based on my subjective feeling based on reading other people’s reviews. It works if you’re looking for on site pro prints. Are the prints on level with ordering from a pro-print shop, no but then again, it’s just a Photobooth.

We’re not talking fully edited formal photos here. My favorite thing about the printer is that it will cut 2×6 strips. That’ll save me tons of money not having to give out 4×6’s.

We purchased this printer specifically for onsite printing. It did a great job during the event printing photos for 750 guests. It also produces a great quality print. It was a little slower than we would have liked for the amount of guests but our client wanted to do 5x7s instead of 4x6s which made it take longer.

We did need to change the paper and dye 3/4 of the way through the event and it was seamless. The only complaint that i would have is that it wasn’t exactly easy to set up the printing through lightroom.

We set up the printer and as we were trying to print through the program we kept getting error messages. We called customer services and they were no help as they weren’t familiar with Lightroom (which i can understand).

After about an hour of me switching setting and trying different items, we were able to figure it out and it has been working perfect since. We have only used it 1 but we would recommend this to people looking for a quality printer with a decent warranty.

I purchased this printer because all the Brother Printers were out of stock. Things I like: Its compact size and the eco friendly ink bottles versus toner cartridges that cost waaaay less. I dont like: 1.

The paper prints towards the back of the printer and there’s no built in paper catch so the papers just fall behind the desk onto the floor. 2. Any Macs that connect to it have to download an updated driver because it initially prints jibberish.

3. Have not been able to connect any of my Air Print Apple Devices. 4. Cannot run cardstock through it, it jams immediately.

“ink bottle includes enough ink to print up to 6,000” no way. It is a really nice printer and I love that it’s only black ink. It works really well but I got a call BS on the 6000 prints. I know it says up to but I’ve had the printer for six months.

I maybe use it 10 pages a month and it’s already out of ink. I do like it’s not a plastic plug in ink cartridge but I still have to get the ink well and fill it up. Again, a great little printer that works well but I got the printer because I was sick of purchasing ink cartridges that were a fortune.

The EcoTank ET-M1170 wireless monochrome ink printer is compact, yet capable of fulfilling basic high yield printing needs for those seeking the low-cost per operation traditionally found with laser printers.

Set-up: 4/5 The included directions are detailed and inclusive. The set-up takes almost 30 minutes, assuming you have no issues. The ink needs to ‘charge,’ which takes about 10 minutes of the installation process.

Intending to use this as a wireless printer, I proceeding to follow the instructions for wireless installation. I have a dual-band wireless router and was unable to connect the printer to my wireless network, as the printer could not find the 2.

4GHz band required for connection and operation. After several failed attempts, I successfully set-up the connection via cable (after which I was able to remove the cable). Ink/Refill: 5/5 Filling the ink tank is a quick and easy process.

The included ink bottle, Epson T532 black ink, prints up to 6,000 pages. Genuine replacement bottles can be purchased for $17. 99, a low-cost alternative over genuine laser cartridges and inkjet cartridges.

I have only printed a few hundred pages, but the ink level barely shows a reduction, so I am hopeful I will be able to get somewhat close to 6,000 pages before a refill is needed. Print Speed: 5/5 Start-up time is minimal and the printer is able to crispy print out 100 single-sided sheets in around 5 minutes.

Duplex printing is a bit slower, but still in an acceptable range. Print Quality: 4/5 Print quality for text documents is as expected, with no quality issues found. When printing images within text documents, the images display vertical lines.

Adjusting the print quality from standard to high corrects the issue, however, this is not a practical when printing long documents, as print speed is significantly longer. In addition, this reduces the cost-effectiveness of the unit.

Duplex Printing: 4/5 The printer can print 2-sided pages with ease, however I find that after about 40 pages, the output tray starts to send old pages behind the printer when new a front page starts to come out (and before it is pulled back in for the duplex print).

I do not have this issue with single-sided print jobs. Wireless Capabilities: 5/5 After the initial installation difficulties, I have had zero difficulty printing wirelessly. Paired with Epson’s iPrint app, my printing capabilities are endless, even away from home.

In addition, when you register the printer, you are provided with an e-mail address and QR code than enables you to print via e-mail. When printing jobs are complete (for e-mailed print jobs), you will receive a follow-up email confirmation.

Overall: 4. 5/5 The M-1170 is a solid, compact printer and I am happy with its addition to my home office. I am still learning some of the additional features provided by Epson, am I am thus far impressed.

I would recommend the M-1170 to those with high yield printing needs seeking high quality and low cost. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank M-1170 Wireless Monochrome Supertank Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

There was no problem with the ink, but the delivery of the purchase. We gave exact address with trailer number, but it was delivered elsewhere. We actually had to hunt the product down! Also, when we called to let them know that the email said the product was delivered but we didn’t receive it, there were several issues.

First, we couldn’t understand the person, second they acted like they weren’t going to listen to us, but only wanted to send us a statement with proof that it was delivered, and last, it took both of us talking with her to get the issue solved.

Finally, she was willing to reorder the product, but have it sent to the store for pickup. After we got off of the phone, my husband found the package at the empty house at the top of the hill. We called to cancel and said they did, but then got an email the other day that our order was at the store for pickup.

Incompetent!!!.

I was sold the wrong ink for my new printer and didn’t have the receipt for the exchange. The staff was able to look up my transaction by my rewards number, and an easy exchange was made. The Epson Ecotank 2760 has to be the biggest money-saving printer ever, or the old cartridge system was the biggest rip off, or both.

I used to enjoy printing. It was fun trying out different papers, surfaces, and canvas to see which are best for different types of shots. And ordering prints for every shot I wanted would get into serious money.

I’ve owned a Canon Pro 100 for quite a while and loved it. Only problem I ever had with it as some head dragging on thick canvas. But I was able to work around that. I wanted a larger format and spent quite a bit of time reading all the reviews and comparing the P800 with the imageGraf Pro 1000.

Seems that the output quality comparison is a wash. So it came down to two things: Size and roll paper. I wanted the roll paper option because my favorite canvases (Breathing Color) are always out of stock in sheets but usually available in rolls.

So I went with the Epson. Like I said, I used to enjoy printing but from DAY 1 this thing was a problem. It’s nearly impossible to get roll canvas to feed w/o errors. Even when I did, the cut function was completely broken.

It would feed several feet of canvas and then draw a cut mark. Epson tech support was useless. Several versions of drivers didn’t solve it. So I just resigned to manually cutting w/o the mark and then needing to eject the canvas to roll the unused stock back out.

Then I had the treat of getting it to feed again. Often I had to take the roll off of the printer and put it on my trimming/mounting table and use my cutting gear to get the edge of the canvas 100% perfectly straight before it would feed.

I finally disposed of it today. Hopefully they can recycle the plastic into something useful. It had gotten to the point where I didn’t really want to print any more. So I learned a very expensive lesson and will never buy anything even associated with the Epson brand ever again.

Given the good reviews here (and before I bought it) I might have gotten a lemon. But with their poor tech support I was really just stuck with it. I guess I’ll go back to my trusty old Pro 100 and when I want a larger print than 13″ x 19″ I’ll just order it.

Purchase of the Epson printer that is charged from their ink tanks has proved to be a good one. Although the printer itself has a few quirks [eg the control screen is too small and difficult to read and operating instructions somewhat vague] the tanks load easily if reasonable care is taken and automatically cut off when the onboard tank is full.

So no spillage. The print quality is crisp and clear and compared with cartridges hugely more economic. For general printing I would not go back to one time use cartridges. Although the printer has only four tanks [black and three colours] the quality of colour prints on photo paper is surprisingly good – though not the best that can be achieved with more inks.

Assuming the printer has a long life the ink tank system offers great utility in everyday use.

Bought for the Dell XPS12 DUO. It was a perfect fit. The padding is quite nice and keeps cpu from scuffs and scrapes. Would probably help protect unit from a 1824 inch fall, but I have not tested this yet.

Dont PLAN to. Outside of covering has a nice feel and is easy to grip. Feels secure in hand. Simple sleeve. No carrying straps.

Pros: Lost WiFi connection topping up. Epson printer stopped working when ink level was low. Top up before ink levels get low. Cons: Epson ET 2750 would not accept Router pass word eventually managed connection with auto connect after several attempts.

I ordered this printer online after much thought into getting my first printer. I was impressed by the long living ink cartridges, good price of ink replacement and ease of recharge. I was positively surprised by how light weight the printer is – being a female this is a plus.

Size is good, nice finishings, i like the slim top cover, and detailing that imitates carbon fiber. It was easy to fill, easy to set-up for printing from my phone as well as my macs(laptop and older desktop).

I wasn’t convinced it had connected wirelessly but when i printed all worked fine. Tried scanning as well – it was fast and the image was directed to my phone. I printed some black and white text pages and all text sizes were easily readable.

Printed some photos and colours were amazing for a print on plain white paper – framed and placed on the wall you can’t even tell they’re not photos. Another plus for me – possibility to print on long pages, super good if you use gantt charts, or any project management tool that you need to see in a timeline.

Only down-side – when it starts to print it makes an abrupt noise that will spook your pets with its intensity :).

I always had Canon Pixma printer, is good expensive cartridges. I bought this printer and know Im thinking why I didnt try it earlier, is brilliant. Nice prints out. Loving it.

I bought this printer against my better judgement after reading a review regarding the complexity of the setup with Epson printers. The review nailed it. Setup was cumbersome and the user interface sucks.

I came from having owned several HP all in one printers and the difference is substantial in both the setup and the user interface. I will never buy an epson again.

Recent purchase and is been used in a dedicated Media room. I have watched a few movies since the purchase about a week ago. Set up was easy. The projector has enough features and specifications to get the set up I wanted without getting too overwhelmed with excess specs that I would probably never use.

I would have loved to have a motorised lens cap, as the projector is mounted on the ceiling and I have to stand on a stool/chair to cover the lens after turning it off. Also a hard wired Ethernet connection would have been handy too, rather than relying on wifi only.

12 hours or use so far and this projector’s picture quality is very good indeed. It’s dark scene performance isn’t on the level of a flagship HDR TV but it’s still a great experience with a decent screen.

Money well spent and will most likely get a few years out of this. Big thanks to CHT for their wonderful service.

Excellent features at such a bargain price. Love the vertical and horizontal lense shift, great throw ratio allows me to mount the unit 4 meters from my screen. Lovely picture with 4K b/ray or full HD.

not done any picture adjustments yet but there are plenty of them! Very pleased with my purchase.

Pros: I would not recommend any other ink! Keep it genuine with the Epson ink cartridges. The ink quality is fantastic and lasts for over a year. Such good value for money and the price per page is really economical.

It’s really easy to use, just pour into the refillable cartridge which is already fitted into the printer. It’s a solid 10 out of 10 Cons: Nothing to improve upon.

Recently purchased an Epsom ecotank printer. A bit more expensive than a regular inkjet printer but Wow!! the savings. No more expensive inks that are good for about 50 prints if youre lucky. I can believe the claims.

Ive printed about 1000 sheets so far and the ink levels have barely moved. I bought a black ink cartridge recently but it wont be used for months!! Quality is tiptop. I recommend this product.

I’ve had my eye on one of these Epson Eco-tank printers for a while. Nothing wrong with the one’s I have, but the Space 1999 look of the them, and the claim of 5000+ pages per ink fill was attractive.

I was going to buy the the one with the scanner, but went for this model instead. Straightforward and easy to set up. You have to buy a USB cable for it. One bad point is the full ink level dropped to three quarters after printing off just 18 pages of car insurance policy.

Cons: YESIt is not Wifi !!!!Had it for a few weeks Still cant use it with my Tablet !Ordered special leads to get it working with my Tablet :Still could not get it working !Now had to dig out an old laptop to try to get it to work !But !Although I feel like throwing it outI Will keep TRYING.
