20 Best Epilator For Pubic Hair (2023 Updated)

I was introduced to epilators about 3-4 years ago and have not gone back to shaving my legs. I have very sensitive legs, shaving or waxing turns my legs bright red with spots that seem to never go away.

Epilating for me seems to help with that tremendously. Can’t say my legs are perfect but they look so much better. Not to mention I don’t have to pay for my legs to be waxed or buy razors. I don’t really use any of the attachments.

I’ve found that using it by itself helps get everything quicker. Only downfall I can honestly think of is that it gets hot but then again it’s usually after 25-30min of use. You can use it while you’re in the shower but what’s easiest for me is to exfoliate a day before and epilate with dry skin.

Just personal preference.

I have never used an epilator before, so I was pretty terrified honestly. I will say that the directions and all of the different pieces were a little baffling at first. I finally figured out which head was recommended for me as a beginner.

I used it the first time in the shower and YES it was definitely painful as is to be expected! After a few passes my body’s natural pain killers kicked in and it wasnt so bad. By the time I moved on to my other leg, I was actually kind of enjoying it LOL.

One tip I learned was not to move too fast if you are using the first speed setting. just slow down. Also, for the first time you will most likely miss some hairs. I just put some coconut oil on my legs and did it that way and it was maybe even better.

Your legs will be red from all of the hairs being pulled out, so its best to do it at night, put some oil on yourself to soothe your skin. I have not gotten up the nerve to try the epilator on anything besides my legs yet.

I will say that the little bikini trimmer is absolutely useless. I found it to pull out more hair than anything. So far, I am on day five since my initial use and still no hair growing back in yet. If you have a higher pain tolerance, you will be fine.

if not, maybe just have some drinks and do a little at a time. My only other request would be that they include a bag to keep all of the parts and pieces together, but otherwise I will be using it all the time and I love it!.

This epilator is amazing! I was terrified to try an epilator and I could kick my own behind for waiting so long to try it. I can’t shave my underarms anymore because it causes a horrible rash, so I started getting professionally waxed (Brazilian wax as well).

I use to call it my holy h-e-double hockey stick appointment. It was always excruciating, left me raw and inflamed for a couple of days and got expensive quick. I hadn’t been able to get waxed the last few months so was in full sasquatch mode when I saw this at my local Ulta and decided “what the hey, I’ll try it out”.

My underarms are so much happier! No rash, no bumps, no raw skin! Did it hurt? Yes-ish. It wasn’t nearly as bad as a wax, it pinched but then the pain was gone in the blink of an eye. So I got brave and did my Brazilian area.

It was a bit more painful on one side, not sure what that means, but once I got the hang of it it wasn’t the pain but the maneuvering that was tough to deal with. I do need to get more used to my body angles, but I believe it will get easier next time because my hair growth won’t be so ridiculous.

Plus, I could wear my underpinnings, sit and walk without pain as soon as I was done, which were issues with getting waxed! I did use this little gem in the shower, which I found reduced pain and mess (hair everywhere) for me.

Im so excited! Less pain, cost savings and great results! I did undearms on one day then the undercarriage the next day because it took awhile my first go round. I don’t think it’ll take as long the next time, but again I’m new to this.

The only con I can think of for this is that cleaning the hair out of the epilator is a pain. It would be nice if there was a function to open the little pinchers so the hair could get out easier, but maybe others aren’t full on hippie when epilating.

For over 15 years now I have been a fan of Philips epilators. I suffer from severe irritation if I use an epilator with metal disks, so ceramic disks were a real find for me. I also had 4 different models of Philips epilators.

Firstly, due to the fact that the tweezers capture less hair than previous models, the time for hair removal now takes two more times. Secondly, the completely useless function of wet hair removal. This is completely inconvenient to do in the shower because the epilator does not slip on wet skin, which makes this process even more difficult.

And finally, battery power is enough for a very short time and there is not enough charge to complete the procedure without interrupting additional recharging. Accordingly – wireless hair removal is also a useless function.

I am sure that among the fans of Philips epilators there are a lot of users who do not need a wireless function. Therefore, I think that from the manufacturer’s side it would be more fair to take into account the preferences of those users for whom the power and speed of the epilator are important.

So my suggestion is to create another model of the epilator, which could work on electricity and have ceramic disks to remove hair.

I was skeptical that this product would work since I tried another product that was shaped like a tube of lipstick, but was no more than a cutsie electric shaver. This product turns out to be awesome.

I didn’t experience the pain it said I might and my skin didn’t get irritated or swollen. My skin feels soft and hair free! It states it may take a few times for the hair to completely be removed, but I like the way my skin feels as opposed to waxing.

The only criticism I have is I had to call Braun because their pictures in the brochure are confusing. Their customer service representative clarified my questions.

I’m still on the fence about this product. It does what it’s supposed to do, but there’s a catch. Some hairs seem to break off instead of pulling out at the root. I read some reviews that said it’s not a real epilator, and I think that might be why some people feel that way.

If hairs break, you’re going to feel some stubble. I discovered that the slower I go, the less that happens. I can’t seem to use this as quickly as I can shave. If I use the tool that quickly, I get lots of breakage.

On the upside, the results last a long time when the hairs do pull out at the root. It’s the same as with waxing — if it’s pulled out, it’s going to grow back pretty slowly. As for discomfort, it’s kind of painful, but nothing like waxing for me.

There’s zero skin pulling. All I feel are what seem like lots of tiny little stings where the epilator grips the hairs and pulls them out. Waxing is faster, but for me, it hurts a lot more than this.

I think it takes some patience and some trial and error. If you’re like me, you’re not going to get perfect results the first time. Find your pace, work slowly, and use the tool in more than one direction.

Hairs grow in different directions, so moving the tool in different directions seems to work a lot better. I also need to clean out the tool frequently. If I don’t, it’s not as effective. As for ingrown hairs, I have experienced a few.

But again, nothing like with waxing. For me, if there is an ingrown hair, it’s barely beneath the surface of the skin. If I scratch it lightly with my nail or use a dry brush before I shower, it’s resolved.

For me, it was worth the price. I’m happy with it. I think that the longer I use it, the more I’ll learn the best methods. And I absolutely love not having red patches like I always get from waxing.

Braun silk epilator 3 is the best good product. I have used it for every 3 weeks. It leaves my legs and hands clean smooth and you have to use in my own once every 3 weeks and it pulls out the hair from the roots.

its little painful if you have a low pain tolerance. I guess more or less often depending how fast your hair grows. It results smooth skin for at least 3 weeks. After shaver I put baby oil on my legs and hands.

It looks my legs feeling good clean smooth skin. It really works great that I’m so glad and I’m feeling good for sensitive skin.

I upgraded to this model from the Brain Silk-epil 5 and found it to be worth the additional $$. The Brain Silk-epil 9 has a few advantages over the 5: 1) The 9’s on/off switch is a turn dial versus the push button of the 5.

I always thought that the push button design and location was dumb since it was located where you would naturally rest your thumb making it easy to turn off mid-epilating by mistake; 2) the 9 has a little protruding light that also serves as the SensoSmart (basically turns red when you push down too hard and risk pinching your skin).

This light makes it SO much easier to see stray hairs while you epilate. This feature isn’t present on the 5; 3) the 9 has a wider head and more tweezers which makes your epilating session much quicker than the 5.

Both models come with similar attachments and charger. The model 5 is great for beginners who aren’t sure whether epilating is right for them and don’t want to spend a bunch to find out. But if you like epilating and want to upgrade then I highly recommend the model 9.

First off, I have to say that Braun makes the best epilators, or at least they work the best for me compared to the Philips models I used to use. I have very fine, light hair that often breaks instead of being pulled out.

I still have trouble with my arms and sometimes legs, but this works better than others I’ve tried and it definitely works well for areas of thicker hair (like underarms and bikini area). I sometimes take the pink safety cap off (which I am not sure if you’re supposed to do)—in some ways the little rollers on it help you to get more hair in flat areas, but in any areas with creases it just adds more bulk and you often can’t reach the hairs you’re wanting to remove.

Without the safety cap on, you can get a lot more hairs, but you are more likely to get caught or scraped by the tweezing part. When this happens, it’s definitely not comfortable, but it doesn’t stop me from using it with the safety cap off lol.

It holds a charge pretty well, and the fact that it’s cordless is pretty convenient. I actually can’t remember if you can use it while it’s plugged in, but I always unplug mine to use it anyway. It’s also got a handy dandy light to help you see hairs you didn’t even know were there! I will say that with this epilator, as with all epilators, it’s not going to replace your razor if you want a smooth, totally hairless feel—there will always be some hairs that are too short or fine for it.

But I use mine to remove as much hair as I can at the root, so there’s less left to shave and it buys me time between shaves. This model is not as cheap as others on the market, so for beginners I’d say start with a cheaper model at first to see if epilating will be too painful for you generally, and if you tolerate it well this is a good step up.

Honestly, any epilator is going to hurt sometimes, and this is no exception. But the more you do it, the less painful it gets—I barely feel anything in most areas now—and even if it hurts, that means it’s working!!.

This is my first experience with an epilator and I’m really glad I took the plunge. I was lead to believe they are really painful but I didn’t find that at all, although a little shock at first it’s nothing but a slight scratch (compared to waxing it’s nothing!!) The Braun Silk-epil 9 Flex 9030 arrived in a very luxe setting. The rose-coloured bag and accompanied accessories displaying value for money. Being a relative newbie to epilating, I had allowed for hair growth to occur in order to be able to best assess its capabilities.

My first foray did not go, however, as expected. I had been a touch to eager in assessing the required length of hair for removal. The experience was sharp and perhaps belonged to a horror story genre.

But, fear not, rather than having to leave just a single strip of hairless leg out in the open I discovered the shave and trim attachment which managed to rectify my issues. Now accompanied by the recommended length of hair on my legs, I was once again able to recommence my epilator journey.

The flexible head made movement easy and almost painless. The light function steadily guided my pressure and path in the evening hours and I was able to render my legs hairless in under 20minutes. Easy to clean, very smart in appearance, and functioning so well that I still feel minimal returning hair after two weeks the Braun Silk-epil 9 Flex 9030 is now my go to hair removal device.

I’ve been using braun epilators for years now, been through 3 different models and 3rd one only because it came with an IPL device I wanted to try. My daughter is using the previous one and it’s still going strong.

I ordered this one when it came up on offers and it was the first time I was aware of the flex and the senso light function. With my declining flexibility with arthritis over the last few years I wondered if it would be easier to get behind the knees etc and as it was on such a good offer, I thought I’d treat myself to an early birthday /Christmas present.

I’m so glad I did. That flex does make all the difference, you just hold the handle, which is much easier to hold by the way, and the head follows the contours of your legs. If you press too hard, the light turns red to warn you.

This alone has shown me that I was potentially not applying enough pressure on previous models as I always used them a little gingerly because early on I once caught some skin and cut myself with one, I now think that was down to not stretching /smoothing the skin enough.

I’ve never been brave enough to tackle under arms with epilator or the dreaded bikini area but I might just give it a (very tentative) go with this one as it does seem less painful than previous models too somehow.

I’m seriously considering buying another one as part of my daughter’s Christmas present now if she doesn’t come back with requests for anything else much. If this one lasts as well as the others, then I’d recommend it to anyone, maybe just wait till it’s on offer because I seriously can’t justify the full price.

Epilator: For the price and quality of this epilator, I assumed it would remove hair fastly and efficiently. Instead it took two hours, two speeds, and three attachments. I also took breaks to clean and remove hair from the epilator.

My legs were silky smooth in the end, but I expected better results using the massage roller cap on gentle speed (I had to follow up with the skin contact cap using default speed, to remove hair that was left behind).

I did use the shaver and trimmed before epilation. Compared to my mom’s 1980’s “Epilady”, it’s still a serious upgrade. Shaver: There are no clear instructions on how to remove the shaving unit for cleaning.

After attaching the shaving unit to the shaver head, it will not detach. The manual says “Do not clean shaver foil with brush. Shaver head can be cleaned under running water. For drying, remove the shaving unit.

Lubricate regularly. ” So how do I remove the shaving unit? I pull, but nothing happens. There is a “release” button for the shaver head, but not the unit? Face spa: Exfoliation is faster and more efficient using my hands or a washcloth than these brushes.

The only positive is that my skin felt smooth and less irritated using the brushes, compared to using a washcloth. Overall, I’m neither satisfied or dissatisfied with this product. I would appreciate a reply from a Braun employee on how to remove the shaving unit for cleaning, though.

I didn’t like the epilator that much. It left a lot of broken hair (rather then plucking it from the root). I’m not sure if that’s a problem with my hair or the product though. I’ve used a cheaper $20-30 epilator before and felt the results were much better.

It did remove a lot though too, just not as smooth as I would’ve liked. It was less painful then other epilators I’ve tried, so that could be a plus.

I have a Remington epilator that I’ve had since 2001. It’s small and it takes a lot of time to remove the hair from my legs. Back in 2009 I came across the red 72 tweezer Emjoi and purchased that. I will admit it does remove more hair and shaves off a few more minutes but I still have to go back over my legs because of missed hair.

I’ve also been ‘permanently’ laser removing my hair off and on since 2011. That should tell you there’s no such thing as permanent hair removal in my case. I believe about a year ago the tweezer head began to snap or click.

I can’t place to correct sound my epilator is making but it started doing that a lot. So I called the Emjoi number and asked how to oil the base and was told not to do that and just replace the tweezer head.

I did and wouldn’t you know it was doing the same thing!! I don’t know if I need to oil the main base or not, I just know that when I was removing my hair it was clicking, snapping-whatever that sound is-off and on then it started to do that full time so I quickly cut it off.

When I turned it back on it was back to normal but each time I slid this thing back and forth that noise started back so I had to resort to using my little bitty Remington. I hope I don’t have to replace the whole thing because if I do and it’s starts doing what my 9.

5 year old epilator is doing I’m going to be ticked because this costs a lot and I’m not rich.

Can compare to my previous epilator Silk Epil 9. Emjoi is more effective, taking less time. Also Silk Epil have massage rollers, they don’t really make any difference. Emjoi needs to be connected to plug to operate which will take little bit to get used to, but not really an issue.

Compare to Silk Epil, which you need to charge and don’t have to worry about the wire, BUT!!! After about 2 years it’s stared giving up. Missing the hairs and leaving your skin sore. ( purchased new head but didn’t make any difference).

My Mum recommended Emjoi to me as she using it for fue years now and she still happy with it. I am very happy with a purchase and would recommend it.

Ok, I live in an area where the water is moderately hard and you should bear in mind that the water in your area may be very different. Your “mileage may vary”. I’ve used Brita water filters for 15 to 20 odd years now.

At first it was the filter jugs before they had changed from the long cylindrical filter to the smaller, compact version they use now. For the last ten years or so, I’ve been using an under sink filter and three way tap again through the transition from the old to the new, compact filters I’m reviewing here.

Clearly I wouldn’t have done this if I didn’t think they work. They will make your tea and coffee free of that thin skin that breaks up into unsightly dark patches after you pour in the milk and stir.

They will also greatly reduce the need to descale appliances such as kettles, etc. The issue I have is that they’re very expensive, they’re difficult to recycle (in my area) and they don’t eliminate all the problems associated with hard water, such as scale.

Remember they’re only filtering the water you drink. Don’t expect too much from them and they’re ok.

The bikini trimmer litterally cuts the skin when trimming against the hairgrowth as the instructions say to do. I’m left with wounds. Trimming towards the hairgrowth doesn’t do the job. Horrible product.

The epilator is okay, pretty loud, doesn’t get short hair very well.

The trimmer is terrible, leaves wounds if guiding against hair growth direction, otherwise it doesn’t trim enough. The epilator is fast and creates moderate noise, has a wire. But it doesn’t do a job! It can’t pull out a few millimetres long hair, misses spots, a lot of extra work to get a result! I bought it as a replacement for Braun Silk-épil 7 5377 (which is amazing, just battery has completely worn out), but it didn’t work out.

I’m totally disappointed and will throw it away.

For those of us ladies with coarse leg hair who used to shave every inch every day and still had stubble before the day was out. This will change your life. I’ve been epilating for years now, and will never shave my legs again.

A few tips: do not take this out of the package and use it on your hairy legs. First, wax your legs once. I do it myself and like the simplicity of wax strips, but whatever works for you. This will mean your regrowth will be softer, finer, and not all at once.

It will make epilating way more comfortable. If you go way too long between epilating, wax again. I like to use this outside when I can. The sunlight makes it easier to see the little hairs, and no clean up! Otherwise, I epilate sitting on a towel by a sunny window or sitting over my empty tub to catch the hairs removed.

I keep tweezers handy for random stubborn hairs. I typically use this every few days in the summer, less often in the winter. You’ll need to spend more time and do it more frequently if you must get every single hair, but it grows in so sparse and fine that I don’t mind wearing skirts and dresses with a little regrowth.

I don’t know if I have a particularly high pain tolerance, but would consider it to be a discomfort instead of painful. This model is a great one.

I’ve been shaving my legs for over 20 years; I have always been too terrified of the thought of waxing, but the long lasting results always sounded like a dream! I’m a light skinned brown haired Italian, so there’s no hiding from my leg hair.

To keep it gone, I truly would need to shave every other day which is so tedious! I have never EVER heard of an epilator up until a few weeks ago (thanks Tik Tok), and I fell down the google rabbit hole of epilator options.

This brand was a common one I kept seeing with decent reviews AND I purchased it for $20 off during a Target sale— I was scared to try it, and I will not lie, I prayed to sweet baby Jesus that this wouldn’t be agonizing.

It did hurt, a lot, especially coming from never-before-been-ripped-out leg hairs. I’ve slowly eased into it, meaning I did my one lower leg first and then just shaved everything else, and then did my second lower leg a few days later etc, and just kept rotating body parts that way.

I did try my armpits for a hot second and NOPE haven’t been able to commit to that just yet! So far it’s been over a week, and I’ve gone over my legs twice now just to catch any stragglers but it really does last! I think keeping on top of it will honestly keep the pain at bay, too.

As a side note there’s a high chance I will never touch my armpits again with this but I am totally fine with that, I would be happy with just not having to shave my legs every other day. and hopefully never again! :).

To be honest now I can enjoy smooth without hair skin for week after epilating and that makes my life more easy and I can forget shaving for week. Realy recomended to have this set for every women, who have a nightmare with unwanted hair on the skin – it giving best results for a long time with satisfaction.

I would rate this a 5 but I have to be honest with you all: there is a level of discomfort on the first use. I use on my legs: the hair does have to have some length for the device to pick it up. The great thing about this epilator that it can it can epilate or shave, my legs are smooth and I love the idea of a quick touch up if/when stubble appears.

I was so excited to use this product. It’s exactly what I needed during this quarantine. I must’ve read all the instructions wrong. I used all the attachments and couldn’t get all the hair off. I was so frustrated and ended up with the shaving attachment which didn’t do a great job either.

It was hard to see what I was doing. Maybe the newer models do a better job?.

It’s painful. If you don’t need this don’t do this to yourself. If you can afford regular waxes or Groupon lasers do that. This is very painful. If you are a high pain tolerance this is like being able to wax (much slower) anytime without a mess or appointment.

I’ve been epilating for over a decade, not sure it has any last effect for me. But it does grow back much slower than shaving. Be sure to exfoliate a lot a lot after this. And you may want to shave still for ultimate smooth.

Not great for sensitive areas. Great for legs and arms if that’s your thing. Had mine for almost a decade now.

Good epilator and massager for body. Massage also face. Brushes for facials, my skin looks much better with those brushes used. Good quality. I have had the same for about 3 years. Charging fast and stays without a charger for long.

Can do it in the shower. Skin stays without hair for 2-4 months, depending on the body area. Having an additional shaver head, but I did not use it, might be good. Have an additional protective frame on the epilation head, but it is with and without comfortable, most probably for the bikini area, or more youthful customers, like my daughter, 14, I am using without frame and it is okay too.

Oh my! So… first I read amazon reviews and thought, I can do this. Then I watched YouTube videos, and still thought, I can do this. I have waxed, tweezed, and shaved in the past. You guys. This feels like your being electric shocked, very slowly.

Let me start by saying that this was my first time using an epilator, ever. I read many reviews, watched many reviews, and did a lot of research into hair removal before I settled on this particular epilator.

Ive never been a fan of shaving: having to buy replacement razors, and having to shave every other day, it was just an annoyance. I dont like waxing either, as it does skin damage and my skin is already very sensitive.

I wanted something high quality, and I absolutely love the attachments included with this particular epi. Its truly a complete system. I can exfoliate my face and legs there is a soft and more coarse brush attachment, use it as a massager, and two attachments for use on smaller, more sensitive areas such as eyebrows or chin.

My favorite attachment, though, is the one that covers the epilator and pivots to make getting your knees and other curvy areas so much easier and quicker. It also includes a trimmer and a standard mesh shaver, so for people like me who still havent worked up the courage to epi my underarms yet, I can still ditch my razors and use the shaver instead!Have no illusion about it, epilating hurts.

Whatever youre expecting, crank the dial a little bit higher, because it seriously hurts. If youre anything like me, youre gonna be sitting there asking yourself if the pain is really worth it, and honestly, I think it is.

There is no nice or easy way of saying, its literally tweezing your hairs on a much larger scale than what youre used to, and tweezing one hair alone flipping hurts. THAT SAID, though, the more you use it, the easier it gets, I promise.

The first time I used it, I did it in the warm bathtub and didnt stress at all about getting all the hair. I just wanted to get accustomed to the feeling. The next night, I tried it dry, and I much prefer it dry.

A lot of reviewers have said they dont really see the point of the light, or that they dont use it, but I completely disagree. I love it! It shows me exactly whe.

I thought this product was similar to shaving but found out once I got home that it actually tweezes the hair. It doesn’t completely remove the hair as a shaver would. Very painful to use and I read on the instructions that you are not able to wet the portion of your body that needs shaving/tweezing.

Will be returning this product ASAP.

Saw many other epilators for way more money so I thought this would be a good starter unit. It is well worth the money and does a great job. I used to have to shave every few days and now I epilate every four or more weeks!.

I use this for my legs does a great job. Better than using a razor. A bit painful at first but worth it. Smooth legs last up to 2 weeks. Highly recommend

I’ve always used wax to tame my fuzz but doing so has become tiresome, messy, expensive and has caused me to have a lot of ingrown hairs. After seeing adverts on tv I decided to give the Braun Silk Epilator a go, price wise it’s works out a lot cheaper than having to keep repurchasing wax, strips and sticks so that’s a massive win for me.

First time around I was a little nervous as I had never used one before, but trust me it’s so simple with just one button to press, my nerves were short lived as I became totally engrossed and invested in the whole process.

The epilator is made up of teeny tweezers and they grip the finest of hairs, seriously I was blown away at how close they get to your hairs. Pain was minimal and sort lived and far less painful when compared to waxing.

My legs and arm pits are super smooth, not at all blotchy or red, I’ve been using the epilator now for a number of weeks, I’ve had no issues with ingrown hairs, I use mine every 3 weeks to grab the hairs as they start to grow back, so perfect for me, as it saves me money, time and effort.

I’m obsessed and there is absolutely no way that I’m ever going back to waxing, I’m here for the results and the Braun Silk Epil delivers fantastic results!.

I’ve never used an epilator before but find shaving a pain so was interested to give this a go. On the plus side it is very easy to set up and use, although it’s a two pin plug which requires you to have a socket adaptor which was a bit of a pain (unless you are using a shaving socket in the bathroom but they’re normally quite high up).

It’s quite small and has a nice, sleek design. A friend has told me she uses an epilator that has a “beginners head” but this only came with one head as standard so I went straight in. On the downside I found it quite painful.

I don’t have a great pain threshold, I would probably get used to the pain if I used it a lot. It wasn’t a pain that made me cry but I was very aware I was using it. It’s also really noisy, sounded a bit like a tractor, which was a bit off putting! For me the main negative is that my skin came up in a red rash after using.

It went down a bit overnight but I didn’t feel the results were any better than a razor so I probably won’t use it again.

I have never used one of these before so I wasn’t quite prepared for how much it stings when first getting going however, within a few seconds I got used to it and no more stinging until I moved to the second leg.

I have to say it’s worth it, my hair regrowth is normally really fast, as in a few days fast but I used this 5 days ago and still my legs are feeling silky smooth. Incredibly easy and straightforward to use but I would advise to go slow to ensure all hairs are removed.

If you want to give your underarms a go I would definitely recommend having a sting drink beforehand as that takes a lot longer to to get used to & ease off. Again, the results are worth it though. I have PCOS which is why I have fast hair regrowth and this is just amazing for me.

As a regular user of disposable shavers, I was very excited to try this due to it being used as a wet and dry epilator. Within the box you get: 1 X Epilator 1 X Shaver Head 1 X Trimmer Head 1 X Facial Cleansing Brush 1 X Charger Features and Benefits which are very clear to understand I decided to charge it on the same day and was amazed at how long lasting it is – I normally go around 6-7 days before I find I need to charge it.

The epilator although is slightly painful is a great way to remove those really small unwanted hairs which are really hard to get. I also feel the hair grows back very slowly compared to waxing/shaving.

The shaver head and trimmer head are particularly useful for those sensitive areas such as bikini line or underarms. The facial cleansing brush is quite nice and not harsh on the skin and helps to fully cleanse the skin.

I normally put my cleanser on the head and gently go around my face avoiding the side of the nose and eye area. I usually use this twice a week and each time it leaves the skin very soft Overall an excellent product which has really helped me.

Holds a charge well, works in water, comes with shaver head, cloth case for storage. First off, I did not think about the fact that hair grows at different rates and when I realized this I was a bit upset because I bought this to cut down on how often I needed to shave.

HOWEVER, after using it for a month or so I love this product! Yes, I have to epilate every week or so but the hair numbers are way less, and the ones that have been epilated grow slower than with shaving.

This will not pull the baby fine hairs, but I don’t care about those. I care about the hairy cabe woman hairs on my ankles and this gets all of those with ease! I have also fallen in love with the shaver attachment.

It gets my peach fuzz mustache like no other and the trimmer shaver gets my bikini line perfectly. The epilator does not work well on my bikini area. It does epilate my underarms well! My suggestion is to play around with it, find what it works well on.

No hair removal method is perfect but I wish I’d bought this sooner!.

The Braun Silk-épil Beauty Set 5 5-895 has potential but definitely has a few areas left to improve in. After reading the detailed instructions as this was my first time using an epilator, I decided that starting with the high frequency massage cap would be ideal seeing as it was described as being gentler than the skin contact cap.

I opted to do a wet shave in the shower. The first few slow glides up my calf were faintly painful but not unbearable. The issue was that while some of the hair had been removed not all of it was gone which left me feeling stubbly.

I made a second pass over those areas which was a bit more painful than the first time and I was disappointed to see that all of the hair was still not removed. Travelling over my knees, shin bone and ankle area were almost impossible due to the discomfort, though.

I switched to the high frequency massage cap partway through and unfortunately that attachment did not work better than the first one. My legs are red where the epilator successfully removed hair but was still left with random patches of hair.

The redness/swelling did subside overnight but my legs were definitely not silky smooth. One challenge to note when comparing to traditional shaving is that it was hard to determine what areas I had already gone over because of the lack of shaving cream to use as a guide.

The FaceSpa on the other hand is FANTASTIC! I love that it came with 4 attachments which makes it easy to suit any skin type and/or beauty need. I used the facial cleansing and exfoliation brushes several times and was pleased with how easy it was to switch between the two, clean each brush but the best part is how compact it is compared to my usual facial cleansing brush.

The smaller brush size made it easy to navigate my skin especially around my nose area and wasn’t harsh at ALL! I used a fraction of the amount of skin cleanser I normally use with. I used the beauty sponge attachment to gently apply my face cream after rinsing my face.

I’ve been epilating for over 20 years (since I was a teen). As life has become busier, it’s been less convenient to set up the cord in a good location so I decided to upgrade to this cordless model (and keep my old one for emergencies as it’s never skipped a beat).

The Silk Epil 9 is so much better, I’m surprised at how well it works and cordless is just amazing. I’ve not used the accessories yet but it’s great to have so many options. Definitely recommend epilating (and I have a reasonably low pain threshold) and this is a great device.

I have owned this product for 9 years. WHOLE 9 YEARS. And it has never been stopped working or smth. I use it only for my hands. It does great job for me. I don’t feel any pain on my hands so I don’t use some additional massagers on it.

I’m epilating with bare epilator. I don’t know if it’s because my Braun epilator but I had never had ingrown hair. I love it and I can’t imagine my life without this product. Highly recommended.

100/10 this is literally the best epilator money can buy. Wet or dry. This bad boy gets the job done! I love using this on my arms and legs it even has a flashlight so you can get a really good view of just how much hair is really there! It comes with several different toppers and some with rollers to ease the tender freshly epilated skin! If you’ve never epilated before I suggest the slower speed I feel it really gets everything without just breaking the hair off.
