20 Best Entryway Rugs For Winter (2023 Updated)

We bought this for our son’s room. It’s a lovely blue and the contrast tassels look nice. My son wanted a very plush rug and this one looked like it fit the bill. But it turns out to be kind of thin, and not that soft underfoot.

The fibers are so long you can’t vacuum it normally, because they get caught in the rollers. Our robot vacuum is constantly getting hung up on this rug. It would probably feel more plush with a pad underneath.

If I was choosing again, I would have tried to find a different rug. If you want shaggy, this is a great choice. If you want something plush, keep looking. Either way, it’s hard to keep clean.

Size was a slightly smaller than listed, but over the years, I’ve learned that’s what to expect. It still fits perfectly in the space I bought it for. Ran the vacuum a few times over, per the instructions and it all fluffed up nicely! I did not place anything on it for 48 hours to let it settle, used weights on one end to flatten the natural up curve from being rolled/shipped.

I only recently bought this rug, so I can’t comment on its durability. However, I’m happy with it so far. I washed it in the washing machine before I laid it on the floor. The instructions said to let it line dry.

It came out great after I dried it in the dryer on the low setting. It feels nice on my feet when I walk on it. It’s soft, but it’s not shedding. The only problem I have encounter so far is that it doesn’t stay in place very well.

This might just be a compromise for an area rug that can be washed in the washing machine. As far as I’m concerned, that’s a fair trade.

“Light Grey” color is the perfect silvery light grey color, as described. Although the rug pile and backing is very thin (and not much cushion when you walk on it) I love that it has the non-slip backing built-in and the entire rug washable.

The faux fur pile feels soft and fine, a bit slippery to walk on. I vacuum it but my vacuum sucks it up easily. So I like to roll the vacuum against the surface to get that directional, just-cleaned-vacuum look.

Overall, happy to find this hard-to-find 10′ runner for my hardwoods.

Pro tip: measure your space! I definitely could have gotten a size smaller and made a rookie mistake of eyeballing it. The rug itself is really nice, super soft and has held up to vacuuming so far. It’s thin so it can fit in the wash; I paired it with a thick rug pad for some cushion.

I’m very happy with the purchase. Also, I had a shipping delay and customer service was really exceptional. 5/5 I’ll be shopping here again.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS LAWN MOWER!! First and foremost there is NO dealer in Ontario to support it, which we were not warned about. Wouldn’t you think that if Lowes was going to sell something that cost this much money, they would make sure you could get blades etc for it.

2. it has a Kowasaki motor but it is SO loud our next door neighbours complained about the noise. This couple has lived beside us for years and have never complained about anything. 3. it vibrates so badly that it makes your keys fall out of cargo pant pockets.

4. I am a licensed automotive technician and this motor does not belong on this mower. 5. We were not warned that it coiuld not be returned. 5. We called ahead to see about returning and they told us it was no problem, but when we got there they would not take it back.

We read the return policy online and nowhere does it say it cannot be returned. We have never had any issue returning anything before. We are now stuck with a $5300. 00 albatross!!! We have spent thousands of dollars over the last few years at Lowes renovating our house and putting an a very large extension on the shop.

There are other home buildiing stores we will be frequenting going forward.

One thing you need to know is that the picture you see on the website is a lot more detailed than the rug. It’s a pretty rug, but the way the picture shows it, the details of the bird are very sharp and clear.

So just be aware that the rug you get will not look as stunning as the picture on the website. Take into account the fact that this is a loomed rug, so the materials used are thicker, which makes the image less crisp.

We still like the rugs (we bought 3). However, on a positive note, we like the fact that it is not backed with rubber which breaks down over time. That was a really irritating problem with other rugs we had bought, and we had to waste a lot of time cleaning up the rubber powder left behind when we lifted the rugs to clean.

We won’t have to do that with these rugs. These rugs will last for a really long time. They are well-constructed and super thick, so we will be glad that we don’t have to replace it after just a few years.

It’s a very pretty area rug for a very good price. Fits beautifully in the dining room. Colors are striking, but not overwhelming. The rug does shed a lot, and it is has a number of pulled threads which were easy to simply cut off.

Quality is OK — but the price was certainly tight.

Even up close this rug is beautiful. The clean cut of the beveling between white and blue sections, the uniform density, the solid border around the rug – everything is just quality. For the price I though it was too good to be true – there’s no way we could get a “adult quality” rug for this price.

But Houzz strikes again and I’m feeling even more confident that the net product we order will be just as nice.

Great rug! It’s excellent quality and looks amazing. Unfortunately, I am returning because it’s not the right color. This teal is more green and the teal I need is more on the blue side. But if the color were right, I would keep it in a heartbeat.

It does shed but all tufted wool rugs do that. It feels great under foot snd the price is pretty good for tufted wool. I’m sad it didn’t work out but if this is the color you need, I highly recommend.

The harness makes me feel more comfortable and in control while walking out and I believe its better for my dog, makes her feel more secure. The head harness is yet to be accepted by her as she does not like it over her muzzle at all and tries to get it off.

Perseverance is the key word here ! The quality is excellent, well made and strong which is a good job as its like taking a donkey for a walk. 🙂 Easy to clip on and off and not too heavy.

This is my second Ruggable. The cover to this one was designed a little different than my first one. On the underside of each corner it has a triangular rubber piece that I assume is to keep the corners from curling up.

I don’t like this. You can see the outline of these pieces. The corners turn up. I want to order another top for the runner but customer service won’t answer me if these rubber pieces will be on it or not.

My original doesn’t have this and I like it without the pieces. Customer service did give me a hint to try to keep edges down and it worked for 2 corners but not the other two. I gave 3 stars because I love the first one but not the issue with the second one.

I love how easy these rugs are to clean. Grabbed a Christmas themed one for my entry, it got covered in dirt and washed up like it was brand new!

I have one of these for each season so I can change up my foyer. I love how easily they wash and come out looking like new! Great colors for the holidays.

Please make a plow and hearth indoor/outdoor washable throw rug, M55752, with black background and green hydrangeas to match the plow & heart hydrangea outdoor throw pillow, H372460. I have been waiting and wanting to purchase two washable rugs to match the pillows, so my front porch decor will be complete.

Those rugs, if made, would go perfectly with my two lutyens benches, H373033, and two plow and hearth hydrangea throw pillows. So Please! Please! Please, make those rugs. Thank you in advance.

We have accent of black granite and french doors are shine of black. I ordered the Hollyhock because of the black background and what a rug. Placed it on the hardwood floor leading into the house from the garage.

The color of the flowers are absolutely beautiful and the detail work makes the rug 3 point perspective. The eye sees the texture before you actually feel the texture with your hand. The colors of the flowers and leaves are done in shades of color it is not done in one color.

The rug is a knock out. Thank you QVC for bringing this.

Bought the HOLLYHOCK RUGS February 2019. Fast forward to today, October 16, 2020. ( One year and eight months later) What words do I use to help someone on the fence. PERFECTION IN MANY WAYS!! Rugs are in my kitchen.

Still look new and my husband, teenage son and I stand on them every day. PROS: Still look and perform like new. Clean up is a breeze. Vaccum, shake out or wipe off spills with a wet cloth. Cushiony Underfoot Beautiful and cheerful in kitchen.

CONS: None Came here to buy two more but HOLLYHOCK is out of stock. I’ll wait. Yes, they are that good.

Wow, So I am one to purchase a smaller version of a rug before I commit to the largest size I’d like. In this instance the rug was absolutely perfect in the runner. The colors were muted, but nice. So I went ahead and bought the largest size available.

(9×12 ish). They look like they aren’t even the same rug. Now I am stuck having to pay for shipping to return a giant rug that doesn’t even look remotely close to the pictures online, OR the actual smaller version of the exact same rug.

Of course I can’t post a picture because they won’t let me. Buyer beware.

This rug is gorgeous, I love the color and pattern. But when I went to use my vacuum cleaner on it that I’ve used on my ruggable rugs, it pulled fibers immediately and disrupted the pattern. It seems so cheaply made.

After waiting two months to wash it (because i’ve been very reluctant to do so given how badly it reacts to a vacuum), I washed it in cold water, hung it to dry and it shrunk over 4 inches per side. I’m so disappointed.

I love the look of this rug but the quality and what is promised is very low/untrue.

This rug is fine. It is very thin. The colors are nice. The company is not my favorite. Their return policy is terrible. The customer service stinks. I will definitely purchase from places like Overstock and Rugs USA as opposed to Boutique Rugs.

I feel like this is the place all influencers push because they get kickback money.

This is such a cute little table. I didn’t realize the handle to the drawer was a starfish, but it was a pleasant surprise. It’s a very cute table and would look great in a beach house setting. It was also very easy to put together.

All I had to do was screw in the legs to the top, set the bottom shelf in, then screw the bottom legs in. Took five minutes. It’s a cute table and I have it set next to my reading chair. It’s perfect to hold a small lamp, a book and a drink.

I got this table to use in the bedroom as a bedside table. And I love it! It goes together very easily, and it looks great. It’s made of sturdy material. I particularly love the drawer pull, which is starfish shaped.

If you didn’t want the natural wood look, you could easily paint it with chalk paint. I’m keeping it as is.

This beautiful outdoor set looks just like it did online! It’s definitely an upgrade in quality and style. We’re putting it on our back patio. I love ALL my Ruggable rugs, and this door mat is no exception! I love being able to pull it up and throw it in the wash, as well as swap the look out seasonally or just because. It is also the perfect amount of “scrub” for wiping feet clean!.

I was skeptical about these, but ordered a few and now I find myself replacing every rug in my house with these. They’re functional, but also have a really clean look, where normal rugs look ratty after a bit.

First experience with rugs. com was great. All the angles of the pictures for each rug was spot on for the two rugs I purchased. Quality was good. The rug did have roll up creases but they came out within a week.

Photos showed color of rug to be more deep cobalt blue, instead of the lighter version that was delivered. Rug is of very thin material. The more expensive pad I also bought, is thicker and larger than the “same sized” rug.

For the price, it will be Good Enough for the time being.

This mat is an excellent choice. I would certainly recommend it. The colors are bright and distinct. The mat is dense and close-knit. The animals are adorable, exactly as shown.

We’ll made, looks and feels like needlepoint. The graphics are just beautiful on this mat. It is larger than I expected but will still fit my space on a covered porch. Perfect for fall but really can use year round.

I’ve got different styles of Threshold runners all over my house. Most are 4-5 years old and the quality is great. Recently, I ordered new Threshold Fretwork runners to replace my older Threshold Fretwork runners.

Target’s website shows the same style, same color, and same size as my original rugs, so I assumed that I would receive rugs of the same quality as my original rugs. What I rec’d was obviously made by a different manufacturer than the original rugs from 4-5 years ago.

The new rugs were much thinner and the edges weren’t cut straight. I returned them. This month, I decided to give Threshold runners another chance with these Clarkson runners and I wish I hadn’t. These runners are thin and poorly made, especially when compared to my older Threshold Chevron runners.

Two of four runners had an edge that looked like it was cut by a drunk worker. Quality items and quality control are things of the past, apparently. So, after 10 years of exclusively buying lots and lots of Target-brand rugs, I’m sad to say that they’re not worth the money anymore.

Basic gray rug purchased to give my senior dog traction on my wood floor. I have created a path through my home by connecting different sizes of these gray rugs so my dog can move about without slipping on my slick flooring.

I secured this with a non-slip rug tape and can easily vacuum without pulling up. The rug has a few loops pulled after getting caught in my dogs nails, but I snipped them off and no unraveling has occurred.

For my use it is perfect. The rug is not fancy, but quite soft on bare feet. Quality is good for the price.

Tough rugs! Can be tossed in the wash machine to clean. The tan greyish color hides anything active puppy age dogs can throw at it. Got a dog that tracks mud through the door? These rugs can take it.

This tan color hides dirt, so you wont be left with noticable stains. No worries. The rugs last for years, and multiple washings. They really are non-slip. Best rugs for dogs, especially if you have senior age dogs that need rug traction added to slippery wood floors for grip to easily get up and down.

These rugs make life easier. These rugs are a good option if you have dogs. Just dont let puppies chew them. Puppies will chew anything. Still these rugs can survive puppy months too!.

The last rug I purchased from Target was great so I had high hopes for this based on the previous reviews. I got the smallest one for a small doorway in our home, but upon receiving it I was disappointed in the quality.

There are visible snags so I can only imagine there will be more after use. Returned unfortunately.

I love the color and pattern if this rug, it’s going to look lovely in my living room! My only complaint is that it’s wrinkly. I expect some wrinkles with a rolled rug but they are usually pretty easy to get out with a steam iron.

I steamed this rug like there was no tomorrow and there were STILL wrinkles. The fibers in the actual rug relax just fine but the rubber backing is very stubborn. I’m really hoping the rubber backing will settle over time.

We have one of each color in the 2′ x 7′ runners. They’re so pretty and match our decor well. My cat lives sleeping on the one in the bedroom since we have hardwood floors throughout. Unfortunately, his claws snag rather easily, so we have a couple spots that are shredded (minus 1 star).

Good thing he only likes to play near the one in the bedroom so no one else really sees it. We’re about to wash them for the first time so we’ll see how that goes!.

This is more of a review for the Burrow furniture overall. I ordered several pieces of furniture based on all the great reviews and was very disappointed. The Nomad sofa was poorly constructed and the material is very rough.

The bed frame was impossible to assemble because the pegs didn’t line up. The other boxes I never even opened after that but everything looked like it would be difficult to assemble. I ended up returning everything I ordered and the return process is also a hassle and you are charged a 10% return shipping fee which adds up with a $12,000 order.

I find it hard to believe all the five star reviews as you cannot just submit a review but have to be invited. There is also no way to call so you cannot get an immediate response if you do want to return something.

You have to wait for an email back and it can take days.

Received our new rug quickly and in perfect condition (it was well wrapped and protected). It definately lived up to my expectations. High pile and dramatic markings. The rug is off white with what I’d call steel blue/gray accents but every bit as beautiful as the web pics.

I do wish that I ordered the rug pad to make it extra plush.

The rug was delivered very quickly. It’s a good quality product. You can see the dirt and wet footprints being absorbed on the mat and then it’s easy to vacuum the dirt off and it looks back to normal.

Great grip, fab at taking off the mud and easily washable. My last mat lasted about 3 years and was washed a dozen times. The mat is not too thick, so it presents no tripping hazard and looks very neat.

The only things that made me buy a new one was the rubber backing which had begun to perish and crumble. The old one is 100% recyclable – so its guilt-free too.

Great quality and fantastic at collecting dirt from my husband’s work boots so that this doesn’t come into the house!

Nice rug because it’s low pile and less of a trip hazard in the kitchen. Nice looking and good quality. Only problem is getting the wrinkles out.

Good value for sale price. Love non-skid feature on back.
