20 Best Energy Saving Space Heater (2023 Updated)

I bought 2 of these heaters a few weeks ago. One of the heaters stopped working so I bought 2 more to make sure in this really cold winter to have a heater and for $25 each I felt it was better to buy more than to try and fix it.

The biggest problem is the thermostat is faulty on this model. Well I decided to bypass the 2 broken thermostat ones (the second one finally stopped working) and now I have 2 heaters with only an on/off switch with all the functions.

When it’s almost 0 degrees who cares if the thermostat doesn’t work at least we have heat. Being a machine repair person for over 40 years I found it not worth getting new thermostats. They are about half the price of the heater.

Be ready to deal with a malfunctioning thermostat. If you can bypass it great. Just remember to turn if off unless the temperature is below freezing. In that case the heater will probably always be on so no use having a thermostat.

I’m not returning it but if the supplier is willing to send me 2 thermostats to fix the 2 non thermostat models I would be most grateful. If not I just have to live with the fact that I need to turn off the heater when the room gets warm.

The heat in my apartment has never been great, but it started going bad, never shutting off and only blowing out cold air. Desperately trying to keep my tiny apartment warm, I left it on, and ended up with a bill of over $200 last month.

The people I rent from don’t care enough to fix it, telling me it’ll be “after New Year’s” before they’ll send someone to look at the unit (despite me telling them it’s been going for like 2 months now).

So I finally gave up and spent my own money on this heater. As I said, my apartment is pretty small. I currently have it a little less than the halfway point for temp, and my place is cozy for the first time since the cold weather kicked in.

No longer shall I sleep in a coat! No longer will I force my dogs to cuddle with me for what little extra heat they can share! Hopefully this will last me a while – if I can get through the winter with it, it’ll definitely be worth the price.

I’m interested to see how much less my utilities will be using it, too; I’m hoping I don’t get stuck with another large bill. But, so far, the product is excellent. It’s a little loud, but no much more than any fan.

The cord is about 5ft long, so it can reach fairly far from the wall. And it’s a very powerful little heater.

The shipping was quicker than expected. Arrived very well packaged, no assembly needed ready to use out of the box. I waited a few weeks before writing my review. I purchased for my large master bedroom suite since my upstairs furnace was broken.

In freezing temps it doesn’t get smoldering hot but it does keep the room warmth comfortable enough which suits my needs. Temperature can be adjusted from low to high. Noise level is tolerable not too loud, good for sleeping.

It’s is lightweight enough to move from room to room if needed. I love having the remote because I can turn it on/off from across the room while still in bed which is a great convenience. If anything I would change it would be the lighted digital controls are located on the top of the unit so if your’re using the remote in bed you cannot see the controls but you can still turn it on/off.

Overall this is a great space heater and I am very pleased with my purchase. I wanted to purchase another one for the downstairs den but they were already sold out.

To start with: this is a *tiny* heater/fan. It’s meant for *small* applications, like under desks, or in my case, heating a tent went I travel-camp. That being said-it’s perfect for MY needs. Tip-over protection and a cool-to-touch housing and face means it’s not a danger to fabrics.

Two heat settings, so I can use it on cool nights to keep the condensation down in my tent without it turning into a sauna, and a high setting that really heats a tent space up quick. It’s not completely silent, but it’s quiet enough to sleep next to.

Fan only mode is not adjustable in speed, but it generates enough breeze to keep the air moving and cool things down. The fan moves more air than some other 1500w heater/fan units I’ve owned in the past, so it’s really nice for tents.

Finally, I would say with certainty that if you were to use this in an office cubicle or other small workspace needing quiet and a small footprint for your heater-fan, you would find this to be a superior product for the money.

I own a couple of the larger Vornado fans that I try to keep running for as long as possible through the spring and summer months before I have to turn on the air conditioning, and they’ve never failed me through all the heavy use and cat hair I throw at them! Hope this review helps.

After reading multiple product reviews (Wirecutter/NYT, CNET, GoodHousekeeping and others) giving this Vornado heater very good recommendations, I purchased one at the local Home Depot on November 1, 2021.

The package/box was intact, manufacturers sealed. At home, I read the start up instructions completely and followed exactly. I live in a new construction home with gas heating, but purchased this small electric heater for a back bedroom that gets greatest wind/cold in winter so that I might reduce whole house thermostat overnight to save a bit on gas usage.

I had settings between 2-3/7 and, except on initial setup, kept on lowest wattage. Most days since purchased, the heater was turned off during the day; when gone for several days, turned off and unplugged.

The heater worked very well until December 23, 2021. Two nights ago, I turned the heater on and moved temp dial to between 3-4. A burning smell was evident immediately, no sound from fan, and after 30 seconds to 1minute, no heat generating.

I turned the heater off, unplugged it, then later (2-3 hours), tried again in another room, different electrical socket. Same result w smell, no fan, no heat. On December 24, my SIL (does electrical repairs) tried it w same results.

Bottom line: Vornado heater worked for 53 days. Shameful. Obviously bad product. Unusually for me, I’d failed to read the actual customer reviews.

My original purchase last year of this product stopped working after 4 months of use. Vornado made good on its warranty by asking me to cut the cord and throw away the heater. – Not exactly a sustainable way to recycle a product!! The replacement of VH200 has 3 settings that are all exactly the same- no difference in heat production or fan.

The heat on my original item last year was efficient and heated a room quickly. This one, due to poor heat production does not ever heat a small room. It is inefficient and I would call it a room warmer, not a room heater.

The electrical cord is stiff, inflexible and hard to manage if you don’t need the entire length and it also does not uncurl. I also bought a fan that has the same stiff cord. I will not be purchasing another product from this company.

Look at these 29 reviews. 25 of them are written by people who got one sent by CZone for free, but every customer who paid for one gives these heaters a terrible review, and I’m one of ’em. I bought four and every one was defective right out of the box: No heat, hardly any heat, fan very noisy, indicating imminent failure, fan not working at all.

Models almost same: CZ45E and CZ45EFDS. I also bought a much more expensive “Milkhouse” CZone heater, and it also had super-loud fan noise, again signalling imminent failure; had to take that one back, too.

B. t. w. , I plugged in directly to brand-new wall outlets all over my house, and I never tripped a breaker, eitherso it wasn’t an electrical-supply problem, and my non-CZone heaters all work just fine.

This heater is small but effective! I like that it is a fan-forced heater so that the heat travels further into the room. So even though this unit is small like you would expect for a personal heater, it packs much more of a punch to heat a small room.

I also like that it has an Energy Save Mode, although I’m not exactly sure what the differentiation is between the Energy Save Mode vs the High/Low settings. The manual states High – 1500 watts and Low – 600 watts but no wattage is listed for the Energy Save Mode.

That would be nice to know. Nevertheless, I just leave this heater on Energy Save Mode for hours in the morning to make our room more comfortable. I like that the unit makes a constant fan noise unlike other space heaters that shut off once the room reaches a set temperature (I’m kind of glad that this heater isn’t that technical).

But with that said, this heater makes a “motor running” sound beyond the fan much like a refrigerator sounds like when it turns on to cool. The “motor” sound isn’t a flat/constant noise, it’s more like a wind-up noise.

The sound really isn’t THAT loud, but it is noticeable, so unfortunately this heater won’t be cohesive with sleeping for me or my daughter as we are light sleepers. Overall, it is a good basic heater that serves it’s purpose.

Compact it is! Lightweight. 4 adjustable modes, adjustable thermostat, and fan forced heat. I’m always skeptical of these types of heaters for safety but this product has a tip switch, overheat sensor.

It also has a stay cool housing. Perfect to use around kids and pets! Still with caution of course! It is quiet and perfect for a small room. I just wish it were a little more powerful for the room I got it for.

Still keeps it comfortably tepid but perfect for my elderly grandmother who likes to use it to warm up the bathroom when she showers. I also like the fact I don’t have to keep the entire house at 85 degrees.

Perfect for her in the colder months and at age 93 easy for her to operate with her arthritis! Big win in my book!.

I love this heater a lot, but the higher setting keeps breaking. I’ve bought 2 of these within 2 years because the hotter setting keeps breaking only after a few months to a year of use. It is not continuously on all day every day, just for a few hours to warm the room up and then let the temp gradually come down.

If I try to turn it on the higher setting, it just refuses to turn on or in the case of the first one I still have, it’ll produce a burning smell and I have to quickly turn it off. I want to love this product but the fact 2 in a row have died like that is a bummer.

It does the job perfectly when it is working!.

I have had this Vornado Whole Room Space Heater for over a 1 month. It is NOT a hot heat but a warm heat. It tempers the air. Materials were good just not a adequate room heater. It did not do what I expected.

It had its pluses but the reason I reject this product is: IT IS NOT COST EFFECTIVE. I got my electric bill and did jump substantially. Cost of operation vs. efficiency is not worth it. I am not condemning this product I was just disappointed.

I have a 400+ sqft livingroom, with alot of windows. I was looking for something to heat this room, so I could turn the thermostat down (& not heat the rest of the house as much). This heater didn’t meet that objective, but the customer service & return process was great! I highly recommend the company.

Some much quieter & smaller than my 10 year old infrared heater. Both 1500W. Too new to give it 5 s but if it lasts 10 years it will be worth every penny! I purchased a 1000W Heat Storm infrared heater, a couple years ago, for 12×12 enclosure and it heats the area easily during January & February making the space useable year round.

I really like the auto mode vs manual select high or low setting. Has the option to wall mount but since it is portable and I am only using it seasonally I wont be using that feature. My sister in-law was so impressed she purchased 1 too.

I ordered from another site. I saw the poor rating here and felt the need to get it right. I love my heater, and have it mounted on the wall in my garage. I can control it through the app or Google/Alexa which makes it very convenient.

Through the winter when I was working in the garage I’d just tell a smart device to turn it on, or if I accidentally left it on i could turn it off. It puts out a good amount of heat, and the device and wall do not get hot.

I’ve had no concerns whatsoever, although one is underpowered for a two car garage with no insulation. it still made a big difference.

The Heat Storm is the best heater I have ever owned. I bought it to heat my garage on cold winter nights in NJ and it did the job, it was warm and toasty. Unfortunately, the unit lasted exactly one year to the day I installed it! I called the manufacturer and they are going to do something, not sure what, but.

It’s been 3 weeks and I still don’t have a return form to send it back. Call me crazy, but I did purchase two more, heaters, one to replace the garage heater and one to heat my shed. Stay tuned, lets see if these last longer.

When my mini heater stopped working I needed to hunt down another heater that would be good for the area where my desk is, yet safe enough not to set anything on fire. There are some things that you need to know when purchasing this heater.

First of all, the thermostat does not work on Low. When you select the thermostat it automatic clicks to high. This could be an issue for people who had circuit breakers that overload. The heater is about 32 inches tall so it’s not overwhelmingly big yet bit enough to give out substantial amounts of heat.

I was skeptical about this heater but I have no regrets purchasing it. If you’re into decor, which I’m not, it’s a pretty little heater that will blend in. Unless you’re very close to it, it looks like it’s made of stone.

Performance Heats the area near my desk and the small room wonderfully. Ease of Use This heater is easy to use. You can’t use the thermostat when this heater is on low but you can use the timer on a one hour minimum setting.

Durability No durability issues. There’s a sturdy metal base to keep the heater from falling over. Design Very cute and sturdy design. The heater itself is light brown and looks like stone. There are other designs that are darker.

Safety I’ve had no scares from this heater.

This is a great little space heater, and is both efficient and attractive. Performance This heater works very well. We use it to augment the heating in our 10′ x 12′ bedroom and it’s more than sufficient.

Running the heater for an hour at a time usually keeps the room warm for several more hours after it’s shut off. Ease of Use Very easy heater to use, simple to understand and program. I like having the ability to select the time and heat settings at the push of a button.

Durability Seems to be very durable. My dogs tipped it once and there was no breakage. Design I love the look, it’s attractive enough to use in any room of the house, and the unit is very easy to use.

Buttons are large and work smoothly. Safety No problems in this area, other than the fact that by definition it’s a space heater, and not the safest home item. I bought this based on researching the consumer ratings, and do have much more confidence in the safety of this brand and this unit than in others I’ve used in the past.

It’s about time someone made a small room heater with some style. This is such a good looking heater, I can’t believe it. It fits great with my decor – and for my small bedroom – it works really well.

It is heavier than I thought it would be – which I like. It’s metal not plastic – and is just a really nice unit. I hope it lasts. I haven’t had it long and the way they make everything to break in a couple of years, I hope this one lasts because I like the features and the way it looks so well.

It has a remote – which works great – I didn’t expect that, really. But I am so glad that it does. It makes things much easier, plus it has a timer so that it will turn off – which is also really good for me.

This is the absolutely best space heater I have ever used. I have four in my house. I have given these as gifts to my parents and siblings. Everyone loves and raves about this space heater. Do you realize how unlikely it is for someone to love and rave about a space heater? I mean, it’s not chocolate or wine or even a favorite sweater.

But that’s where I’m at: raving about a space heater. I love that it is SAFE: you or your kids or pets can touch it, bump onto it, put your hand right through the center of the tower – and it will be warm but you will not get burned.

That is amazing. I love the AUTO ON/OFF THERMOSTAT: I can set the thermostat to a desired temp, the heater will come on and warm to that temp, then turn off but keep sensing the temp, and will come back on if the room temp falls again, and then repeat.

That’s amazing. I love that for overnight. Also love it for just maintaining the temp in a room without my having to mess with it. I love the TIMER so that I can have it run for a while and then turn off even if I forget.

And I love that it is ALSO A GREAT FAN: meaning we use this 12-months a year. I have CUT MY ENERGY BILLS by using this instead of jacking up the heat in the house just to get those inevitable cold spots and rooms to a livable temperature.

I always WAIT FOR THE SALE and then buy these for myself and others. Please KEEP THESE COMING as I NEED MORE – but not because I have had to replace mine – I have one that is 7 years old and still runs great.

But I have more family with more cold spots and these are great gifts, especially for someone who would not treat themselves and are instead using cheap, unsafe space heaters. GET THIS HEATER – you will not be disappointed.

This machine is known to have an error message after about 2 years of use (warranty would be long expired). I purchased this product because of the perceived quality of Dyson, and would expect nothing short of spectacular with their customer service.

NOT THE CASE, after less then 2 years of use (not even heavy use) this products heating feature no longer worked and displayed an H2 error message. A quick google search shows how common it is. Speaking with Customer Support, their answer was that this is not a repairable issue, and yet when making this product THEY created the H2 error message.

The machine did not do it on its own. No other solution was provided – no service centre recommendation or replacement parts suggested. However they were very happy to offer 20% off another overpriced product with no certainty that this product would not do the same.

VERY disappointed with this product. Whats worse then that though was the zero help i got from the customer care team. That was what surprised me the most. I wouldn’t recommend this product, much cheaper options out there that would at least work for the same amount of time.

Works as described and very effective for my purpose. My major problem with Dyson products is that they are way overpriced for what little they are. They are just a normal fan inside but fools everyone into believing they are special and worth the price.

Take one a part and you will see what I mean. And Dyson customer support is nothing to write (email or social media) home to mom about. Especially when yours won’t work. All they offer is for you to send it back in (pay for shipping) and give you 20% off a new one.

Then they fix it and resell it as refurbished or renewed and charge you only $20 less than new price. Scam artistry at it’s best!!!! I bought it because it is stylish and I hate cleaning blade fans. I will admit that other cheaper fan/heaters are very noisy compared to Dyson products, but that is not worth the price hike.

I use an air compressor to blow the dust out of my two heater/fans 2 times a year, without Dyson support, and it keeps it running magnificently and saves me money! Regular maintenance does wonders!.

I recently got this heater to replace one that died after just a year. It had good reviews on various sites so gave it a try. Its a nice design. For being small/compact floor heater, it still puts off quite a bit of heat.

I primarily got it for my bedroom (12*12) which made the mistake of having vinyl (peel and stick floor) so is always freezing. it does also work well in a bigger living room. I like the different temperature and power settings.

The only downside is no remote but for the price, seems like a well made heater that functions like it should. happy with it so far.

The Lasko Designer Series Portable Oscillating Ceramic Heater 6410 has made my chilly winter nights significantly warmer, cozier, and more enjoyable. I am renting an old, rundown home on my college campus that has very little insulation, especially in my bedroom.

My mother had always warned me to avoid space heaters because she felt that they were dangerous, so I had always been hesitant to purchase one. However, I am pleased to report that the Lasko Ceramic Heater is completely safe.

Even my mother has admitted this. Performance My days of lying awake at night shivering under eight thick blankets are over! This heater keeps me warm and cozy. This has helped me with my severe body pain, because my muscles get extremely tense and tight when I shiver.

Design The design is elegant and will look gorgeous in any room! Safety Unlike older and/or cheaply made heaters, this product is completely safe. I still would not leave it on when you are not in the room, but that is just because you can never be too cautious!.

For the price of around $100, the heater produces heat. It is much better than those tiny, old school heaters that burn you if you touch them, and heat only about an inch in front of it. It is really quiet and is a good reason to pay the little bit extra.

I live in a very drafty room (old 1960s house, old wood windows and one of the glass panes was completely gone thanks to my cat) and the temperature was about 40-50 degrees at night. The entire room warmed up by a few degrees and it was enough to feel it, which is more than any other heater of comparable price has ever done.

And old houses come with old electrical wiring. The heater has never tripped the circuit in the living room, and only tripped it in my bedroom after I plugged in a “new” TV and the cable box, and usually those older tiny space warmers will trip every circuit if I put them on High because they take up huge amounts of electricity, which is another reason I paid a little bit extra.

I live in Los Angeles and it doesn’t get that cold here, so this thing provides enough of an edge versus the chills that it is a joy to have. I like that it has a temperature gauge too, which is honest that it doesn’t create a raging inferno, but brings the temp up a few degrees depending on how cold it is.

The fan also blows the warm air a 3 or 4 feet at least, which sounds like nothing, but is a big improvement to previous space heaters that blew a few inches. It has a very sleek design and is not an eyesore.

It will turn off (and maybe on) when the temperature reaches a certain set point, but it usually never gets warm enough in my drafty room to turn off, but changed the temp enough that I wasn’t cold under all my blankets, but comfortable.

thermostat was 5 degrees off, I used both an analog and digital thermometer in same room as controls. Room temp would always ready 4-5 degrees hotter than the actual room temp. This means that the room temp would be 4-5 degrees cooler than what I set it to.

It appeared that the heating element in the unit would cause the false reading. I turned unti off and unplugged for an hour so that it would be be ambient room temo, I turned on but did not activate heat but kept fan on , at this point room temp was correct.

The moment I set temp high enough to activate heating cycle the room tempt reading would shoot up even though the actual room temp was unchanged. Unit was returned.

Great space heater. Has all of the important features I was looking for like auto-stop when overheating or tipped over. When they say “whole room,” they mean the area around you. For example, it covers the area around my couch, but not the whole living room.

The trick to getting this thing to work well is how you position it to get the right airflow. If the area isn’t warming up correctly, try moving it to face directly to a wall (a few feet away) that will help circulate air throughout the room and not just in front of you.

There are some diagrams on the box to help with this. Also, not scared to have this around pets since the chassis doesn’t get hot. Overall, a great purchase despite being a little pricy.

I live in the Midwest, it gets super cold. My house is not well insulated so my bedroom is ice cold. This is by far THE BEST space heater! Thank goodness it’s cheap cuz it only lasts 1-2 yrs (but in its defense, I use it every night on the highest setting for about 8 months straight lol) since Walmart no longer keeps these in stock, I have purchased others when mine has died the last minute and I have returned them.

Comfortzone is AMAZING. Seriously worth $25 every yr or two. Please do not ever stop carrying this product!.

i dont like this heater IT does NOT HEAT UP A ROOM. IT CUTS OFF QUICKLY N HAD TO FULLY BE COOL BEFORE TURNING BACK ON. ITS HELLA SMALL. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE PIC. ONLY KEEPS YOU WARM IF YOUR DIRECTLY INFRONT OF IT.

IT IS SAFE BECAUSE IT TURNS OFF BEFORE IT OVERHEATS. THE HEAT IS GOOD ONLY IF ITS ON FULL BLAST. BUT I DONT SUGGEST THIS UNLESS YOUR AT WORK N WANT IT FOR YOUR DESK.

This heater is well worth it if you have a small space such as under a desk to provide heat. It’s got all the knobs to change heat, fan, etc which is great to get the right setting. The ONLY complaint I have is that the area you’d consider a handle that you could grab and hold is just an empty space.

If you try to use it as a handle and grab it, you’ll drop the heater. Trust me. Just set it up and don’t try to pick it up over and over again.

The Comfort Zone Radiant Quartz Heater is simply amazing!!!! It has different desired room temperature settings right on the face that are easy to read and understand. Push one of those temps and vavoom, it begins its warming magic! My mom is a cancer patient currently receiving chemotherapy and she is often painfully cold.

This heater has become her most prized possession. When she uses it in her room, within a short period of time, the room is toasty warm. It is so light and portable that she even takes it into the living room and basement with her so she’s always comfortable.

It has a neat feature which is a button on the bottom that if the device falls or gets tipped over, it automatically shuts it off. This safety feature brings so much peace of mind. I highly recommend the Comfort Zone Radiant Quartz Heater.

I received the Comfort Zone Quartz Tower Heater in the mail, it came so nicely packaged. You can tell they take pride in their products. And rightly so, this heater is amazing! It heats up super quick in all three modes: Energy Saving.

High, and Low. We will be using this in our garage this winter so we will probably use it mostly in Energy Saving mode. I am so excited to hopefully be able to lower our utilities bill because of this versus other brand we’ve used in the past.

Also a plus that this has overheat protection and safety tip-over protection. I give this a high recommendation for anyone reading this review!!.

This portable plug in heater is super simple to use and works like a charm! There is minimal buttons so learning how to work it was quick and easy. The sleek black design makes the heater look nice in any room.

It works very well and heats up large room quickly. The cord is a little on the longer side which is very much appreciated. There is an energy saver mode to help reduce heating costs. There is also overheat protection, tip over protection, and the carry handle stays cool which make me feel a lot safer with children and animals in the home.

At first I wasn’t sure how this heater would work because it is pretty small and the feel of it is a really lightweight almost toy like feel. Even the buttons you will notice are more cheaply feeling.

Using in it in a smaller space it warmed the area very quickly to a very toasty temperature. So I was surprised. It has a wide rotation to it so it warms a larger area than just one spot. The heat coming out is a very comfy heat and not like some scorching hot.

With a thermostat you can adjust to the temp you want and has 2 fan speeds as well. It also has a built in tip over protection so if tilted it will shut off but once sat back up straight it resumes without resetting it.

It has an energy setting so it will save a little money but honestly it just cuts down the heating process so do you stay warmer or save more? I would give a 5 star rating if the materials it is made of were more durable.

I enjoy this little heater (which also works as a fan!) I like the more updated design of this. It stands taller and is slim. It will rotate back and forth to ensure it distributes the heat all around.

The buttons on top for temperature are clearly and easily used for anyone. It somehow it gets knocked over (you know kids and dogs), it turns off. Such a nice safety feature!! It also doesn’t get super hot on the outside either.

This is pretty great! It does have a slight smell when the heat is on. But I’m sure the more I use it, it will go away. I totally recommend this for your next little heater! It will keep your whole room warm – and makes it warm quick too!.

I’ve had mine for a few days now and I’m very happy with it. It heats my room extremely well, is silent and radiant heat is nicer than the fan-based heater I had previously. The T1/T2 timer seemed complicated when reading, but made a lot of sense when I started programming it.

Hard to explain, wasn’t so hard to use though. My only regret is that the T1/T2 timers don’t support weekend/weekday operation. My usage is for a home office that I would love to put into “T2” operation during the weekend and “T1/T2” during the week.

Not a big deal though as I just use a manually-set temp over the weekend.

I researched heaters to the point of nausea and I finally decided to spend the extra money on this unit. I was very disappointed and felt like something was wrong because they had hardly any heat output.

The controls are very nice with the timer option but I can’t believe the law heat out but it had so I can only conclude that either I had a malfunctioning unit or it’s just doesn’t produce. It is made like a tank and looks fantastic.

I just don’t believe the heat output is anywhere near with the old ones used to be.

I’m impressed with the quality of this full room radiant heater by De’Longhi. Right out of the box, this heater impresses with its stylish and minimal design. It fits in perfectly with our living room decor.

I really love that this has a rust resistant design and digital controls. It’s extremely easy to set up and use. You can even program this with two separate temperatures for day and night. It’s easy to set the temperature, as all you have to do is turn the dial on the panel.

The only downfall of this is that we have to instruct our kids they aren’t allowed to play with the dial, as it is so easy to turn and use. I do like that this doesn’t get too hot to the touch, so that it is pet and kid friendly.

Even so, we strictly instruct our kids to stay away from it but appreciate that it is fairly safe. We have a rancher style home and find that this will evenly heat half of the top floor (living room, foyer, dining room, and kitchen).

And loaded with options! A very impressive appliance for the price, this Honeywell infrared heater delivers instant comfort while utilizing power modestly. The unit is attractive, light enough to carry (and has a conveniently-located accessible handle), has wheels so it can easily be moved or re-directed and although it is moderate in size, offers a surprising amount of options and can quickly heat even a large area, such as my kitchen which has a cathedral ceiling.

Honeywell touts this as being an energy-saving device and estimates the cost to run the heater on a high constant setting (1500 watts) for four hours will cost approximately 71 cents; however, there are many variables to consider when figuring this amount, such as room size, initial temperature of the room and how well the room is insulated.

There is an Energy Smart setting which allows the consumer to preset a desired temperature digitally and the heater automatically adjusts to attain and maintain that setting rather than selecting low, medium or high which is also an option.

It is also possible to select “My Temp” setting which will allow the heater to store two separate preset favorites as well as a timer option which can be set so that the heater will run for two, four, six or eight hours and shut off automatically.

One of my favorite things about this particular model is the fact that it has a remote control which is quite intelligent and has most of the options that are also available on the digital screen of the heater itself.

There is also a fan/blower setting which may be adjusted for comfort. There are myriad safety features which include automatic shutdown should overheating occur and a four-way tipover switch that shuts down the unit should it fall on its front, back or either side.

The actual “elements” are quartz crystal bulbs which will allow for extended life of the heating capacitors, another energy-saving and appliance life-lengthening strategy. Another health-conscious feature of the heater is a removable, cleanable filter which is easily and conveniently accessible.

Thus far, I have found this to be an excellent product and I look forward to many warm, cozy nights thanks to Honeywell’s cutting edge technology and engineering!.

Smaller than expected. But it’s very powerful. It’s perfect for office space. I started a new job at a hospital but my office is so cold so when i ordered this heater it was for my kids room originally but turned out it’s perfect for the office.

I love the remote control. I can put it in my pocket and control the heater through the day as I’m working without having to stop and walking over to my je heater etc…. It’s definitely worth a try and it’s worth the money.

I was disappointed by the size when it arrived but I have no complaint ad to how it works very easy to operate.

Great heater. Works well and heats immediately. I was a little concerned when other reviewers said it was noisy. I’m not sure what they meant because it couldn’t still blow air and be any more quiet.

It’s the same sound as a fan. because it is a fan (just blowing hot air instead of the air temp of the room). Turning blades to propel air is inevitably going to have a sound – but it’s a pleasant hum and as quiet as it could be and remain effective.

It also doesn’t get hot to the touch on the outside (just a little warm but you won’t burn yourself) even after running for hours. Safety tip-over switch works. Oscillation nice. Auto on/off based on your temp setting is a wonderful feature.

Purchased this because i thought i was going to get the little heater with 3 heat settings. I recieved a heater with only 2 heat seatings. The third heat energy saver setting mentioned in the description and shown in the images is not there.

Very DISAPPOINTED is the nicer way of putting it. When it arrived it looked like it came from Amazon. If i wanted this heater with only 2 heat settings i would’ve ordered it for a cheaper price on Amazon.

The product information for the Comfort Zone Energy Save Space Heater on the Bed Bath & Beyond website omits an important piece of information. Unfortunately, I didn’t find out about it until the heater was delivered.

The heater’s packaging gives a Prop 65 warning. Prop 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

So, I didn’t even take the heater out of its box. Had the BBB website stated the Prop 65 warning, I wouldn’t have wasted my time ordering it. Now I have to return it.

I absolutely love these heaters!!! We have had our current one for about 5 years and it is still going strong. We use the heater on almost a daily basis. This heater is 100% worth the price!!! I also love how safe it is.

If this heater gets knocked over, it immediately turns itself off. I have also bought them for friends and family that also love them just as much as we do. Highly recommend!!!.

This is a great little space heater. It more than adequately warms the front half of my small (1,240 square foot home) in no time flat and is super quiet. I love the six different temperature settings and the oscillating feature.

I highly recommend this product.

heater works well in the small bathroom 30sq. ft. I installed it in. The unit has a plastic housing so it is very light, hence there’s no reason to find the studs to mount unit. It hangs on 2 screws so in the summer it can be removed if need be.

It has a 2 prong plug. which was a pleasant surprise.

Although the packaging was all intact and no evidence of damage in shipment, the heater casing was cracked in the upper left corner around the wall mount section – unusable. So I had to send it back.

Black Friday discount was lost so got it elsewhere for $5 less.

I installed one in my Bonus room (14’X22′) above my garage. It heats the room really well to 68 degrees on “Eco” setting and heats at 72 degrees (or warmer if I want) on the Low or middle setting (750 Watts).

I cannot say how much energy is used yet, because it has only been in operation for a week, ut, so far, I am very pleased with the heater. I mean, pleased enough that I ought anther one for my 24’X28′ Garage! Actually, I am thinking about uying a third one for my basement!.
