20 Best Energy Efficient Hot Tubs (2023 Updated)

A neighbor had teased about getting one of these inflatable spas for the summer, and just keeping it set to a cool temperature, when at the height of the pandemic and no pools could be found anywhere.

That got me casually browsing for an inflatable spa for the next couple months, but most of these were around $600. I kept watching the prices, reading the reviews (which were shockingly all very positive), and then this one went on sale for about $350 and DiscoverMyStore offered payments over time.

OMG, how could one not spring for it in that scenario?! I figured heck, even if it lasted 3 months, that would be about $100 per month for seasonal fun. WOW have I ever gotten my money’s worth! This is the coolest (well, hottest) thing I have ever spent some discretionary funds on! I honestly feel like some of my friends who spent thousands of dollars on a regular spa got chumped.

But, I also realize that the tradeoff is that this spa is not solid-sided or insulated, and likely won’t keep its heat in the dead of winter. But heck, who REALLY wants to be trapesing out in the snow in the dead of winter to get into a spa, anyway? That’s what indoor ones are for, in my mind (And no, I would definitely NOT recommend using this, or any other portable spa, indoors! You’d get lots of water from your feet and swimsuit on the floors, bromine fumes in the air, and potentially mildew in your room without proper ventilation!).

And, here in Chicago, we get massive snow falls, and I don’t plan on shoveling a path on my deck to this sucker. So, it will be enjoyed from summer through late fall, at which point I will drain it,.

dry it out, and store it for the winter. A lot of people are complaining about delivery dates in the reviews, which is a bit inane, in my opinion. It’s like the people who complain about receiving damaged items.

Sorry, but issues with shipping carriers and logistics are not product-related. Keep your reviews related to product features and customer service! If you place an order, and then you get word that the product is not going to arrive on time due to a delay, cancel the order.

It’s your prerogative. I got lucky, in that I placed my order at the beginning of August and it arrived within a couple of days. It all depends on manufacturer output and local availability at the time you order! Keep checking!As far as product features go, again, this is really cool for the money.

Watch a YouTube video on how to use the blower to properly inflate it, be extremely careful with all the parts, since they are plastic, and you probably should use plumber’s tape like I did on the connections for a bit of extra watertight security (No, do NOT use permanent pipe adhesive!).

This particular two-person model fills extremely fast with good hose pressure. Mine was up to the minimum line in about 45 minutes. If you have good local water quality, like I seem to have here in the Chicago area (Lake Michigan water), your water should be almost the ideal chemistry level to start with.

Remember, it always revolves around PH levels! I used to sell pools and spas as a teenager, and if your PH levels are not in line, nothing else will be! If you do start buying chemicals for this, make sure your PH is balanced (using small amounts of PH up or down) first, before messing with anything else.

Definitely invest in a small bottle of test strips from a local pool company. Always keep the spa covered (for safety, water chemistry, and heat-retention) and note that if rain water ever gets into your spa, it’s going to throw off your water chemistry.

Invest in a cheap (sub $10) floater for this and don’t put more than two bromine tablets at a time in it. That, coupled with about two bromine tablets in the built-in dispenser seem to keep my bromine levels perfect and sanitary in this.

I replace the cartridge filter upon draining and refilling every two months. Just my own sanitary preference. Regarding heating, when starting from hose temperature water in August or September in the Midwest, it takes about 6 to 8 hours in summer or fall weather to get up to the max.

104 degrees. I typically keep the filter on 24/7 for sanitation reasons, but turn the heater off over night to save energy. Since I work from home, I go down at noon to turn the heater on, and by the time I am ready to use it after dinner, it’s already at 104 degrees – every time! Keep that top on when heating it so ambient air does not battle the heater and nothing is escaping! The lid is your friend.

Related to actual use, it’s so, so, so flippin’ cool for the money! The jets are amazing! Powerful, even, and really makes you feel like you’re in a several thousand dollar spa when in this thing. Every time myself and some friends are in it, we talk about how we can’t believe it was only $350.

The 104 max temperature feels amazing, and usually lasts for about the first 30-minute jet cycle. The only drawback to this, is that the air being circulated for the jets is not heated. So, when you’re in it, and the jets are running, you can reach down and feel almost cool air coming out.

So, that tends to lower the temperature, which you can see on the amazingly accurate digital display. In my experience, in summer and fall Midwest ambient air, it looses about 2 degrees in water temperature for every 30 minute cycle you are using it.

So, by the time we get out after about 1. 5 glorious hours, it’s down to about 98 degrees. That’s not bad at all!I invested in a circular foam base for this spa, but honestly, the stock bottom of it was so comfortable on the deck, I almost didn’t need it.

I do hope that the foam base provides a little extra insulation as the fall gets colder, though, for heat retention. Will this put powerful jets on the muscle areas that you need therapy most? No. Will it stay hot and satisfying all winter long in the Midwest or up North? Probably not (but I don’t know for sure!).

Will it take up a small amount of space, be easy to maintain, fill quickly, heat quickly, and provide you with hours of fun? ABSOLUTELY! Even if after I drain this in late fall and pack it away, should it not fire up again next summer for any reason, I would gladly just buy another one in a heartbeat.

One of these purchased every year beats $8k to $10k for a regular spa prone to lots of maintenance issues any day!.

I’ve used this hot tub for about 5 days and was going to leave it a 3 star review, but today the pump assembly started switching off as soon as it was turned on. It is on a dedicated circuit and had worked with no problem at all until today.

The plug itself is fine (I also tried another outlet, same results). Things happen but it is impossible to contact the manufacturer so rather then mess around with it I’m just going to return it, which because of the weight will be a hassle in and of itself.

I did learn about it while it worked so here’s what I liked/didn’t like:1) The gfi plug on the end is huge. Here’s a hint Bestway, all newer outdoor outlets are required to have plastic covers by code which makes it impossible to plug this in unless you get a heavy duty adapter.

All you have to do is put the gfi portion in line and have the end be just the plug like it seems you do on your EU models. 2) It is quite loud. The bubble part is really loud, but more importantly when you run the filter (or the heater which automatically turns on the filter) there is a very loud electrical hum.

It’s not so loud you can’t talk over it, but I was concerned that it would bother my neighbor. She never complained, but she never does and I felt kind of guilty. 3) The instructions are abysmal. They try to cover multiple, slightly different models with one manual and most of the instructions are small pictures.

Bestway spend a few bucks and include a decent manual, you’ll save the money on returns. Using youtube videos and by trial and error it got set up, but what could have been a 20 minute job took a lot longer.

The positives are that at the price you can’t expect much more (well, maybe having it work more than 4 days) and it does provide you with a hot tub soak for a really low price. I used to have a 10k Tiger River real spa and while you can’t compare the two considering the price difference it’s a way to have a spa at a fraction of the cost.

In the long run the electrical cost of running this will come back to get you, and I would have been surprised if this lasted more than the 2 years the manual claims its life span is, but for a short term, cheap spa-like experience it’s not bad.

UPDATE: It’s only been several days but a couple of additions to make. The blower motor being excessively loud – until perhaps I can build a sound insulation box – and the fact that it doesn’t have water jets, means I consider this to be simply a nice, large, relaxing tub in my backyard.

No hydro-jets, no bubbles (unless you can handle the noise), just a small pool with room for 2 – maybe 3 if you know each other very well – with hot water in a nice setting. Be sure you understand the timer duration and timer start functions.

I didn’t initially and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t heating properly. You’ve kind of got to trust that after you set the duration hours (number of hours you want the heater to run) and it returns to the default display you can then set the start time hours.

(0 hours means “start now. “) It kind of confirms what you’ve done but not in a very clear way. Original review:I just received the hot tub yesterday and had it set up in 45 minutes. To fill it I used the garden hose bib but also a second hose directly from the washing machine hot water supply line.

(They’ve got a regular garden hose thread so no adapter is required. ) That meant the water was fully heated as soon as the tub was filled! I don’t know why the seller don’t suggest that. One reviewer said the buckles that hold the top in place are difficult to operate.

You just need to squeeze at the sides and push a small release in the middle at the same time. It’s easy. The water pump is very quiet but when you run the bubbles the motor becomes so loud as to make it almost unusable.

(In the questions, I think that’s what an answer refers to when someone wrote that it’s “intense. “) Hard to relax and enjoy the bubbles with the crazy motor noise! When I had a built-in hot tub it was noisy too but not like this! I might try building a sound-dampening box; I think (?) water cools the motor enough that it wouldn’t overheat if enclosed.

4 stars rather than 5 due to the noise. It still feels like a great buy though. I did catch it at a great sale price though; it might have been the cheapest inflatable at the time. It would be awesome for kids!.

WaveSpa? Where are you?Sad to say I am not receiving feedback in a timely manner. I have put in requests for a return and my window of opportunity to return this product is quickly closing. Is this stall tactic by design? Kind of like the deceptive advertising on the website? Giving the “deflated” size first for a hot tub cover, Then I get the cover and it’s way too small when it is blown up!? Who cares about the deflated size of your cover? Why are you even putting that in the description?? If anything you should list the inflated size first, pathetic.

Few like this is by design too. And now, no feedback as to whether or not I can return the item. Weak. Will not use this company again. Do not recommend.

Very pleased with new Pacific greywood square. Chose this because I was limited on space. When it arrived, despite me having measured several times it seemed much bigger than expected whilst fitting well in my area.

Easily big enough for me, my wife, 12 year old and 8 year old. Bubbles and heat good, inflatable top keeps heat in well. Was 2 weeks late but I was fine with this as I was updated and with brexit/covid many suppliers are struggling so it’s fair enough and was worth the wait! I emailed wave before it arrived as I was building a small insulated deck and wanted the size with the tub, hoses and pump.

Ryan came back with the size, I built the deck for delivery day, perfect fit! Chemicals are easy too. Overall happy with product and service. Thanks WAVE!.

I purchased the entry level hot tub ‘ Atlantic, I have been then amazed at the quality. The tub is black with a silver lining , a good depth and has a click lock cover, the added ground sheet was a bonus.

It’s fair to say it was up for 3 months inside a portable shelter, so this kept a pretty decent temperature. I’d leave on approx 32 c and as I personally like it hot , increase to 38-9c for late evening spa sessions.

Superb value for money. I was pleasantly surprised at the easy set up and deflation. If I could offer anything to better the purchase , perhaps a storage bag could be included. I did manage to get mine back in the box after folding and putting it firstly into an old duvet cover.

This helped to further fold so I could store it over winter in original box.

I bought this spa/hot tub last month. It took me just under an hour to set up (fyi inflating process uses the bubble jet air supply with an included attachment hose, at the bottom right valve, directly to the right of the biggest grey valve on the spa itself.

And the spa will look wrinkled for a few hours after fully inflated ). After inflating the wall/outer edge gets just hard enough to lean/sit on but soft enough to lean against comfortably while inside.

Im 6’2″ and have enough room for myself, can also handle my two kiddos with me but its best for a single/double adult use. Its quiet when in the heat/filter cycles but the pump for the jets is about as loud as a vacuum and the jets themselves are loud as well because there are so many of them, and do drop the temp by about 1°f every 10 or soqq in this weather (early Fall 60°f outside, sauna on back patio).

My pre-purchase concerns were ‘is it big enough’ and ‘is it hot enough’ and the answer to both has been yes so far. Hoping it doesn’t take too much energy to keep from freezing this winter. IMPORTANT- this (at least mine) did not come with any chemicals needed to keep the spa clean so get some when/where you get the spa.

Instructions for setup and operation do not include the type or quantities of cleaning treatments needed.

Horrible experience. Received their 4 person inflatable hot tub as a gift from. y wife’s 85 yr old grandmother. Was missing the cover and buckles. Contacted them as instructed and was told they couldn’t help us because we were not given the receipt with the gift ? Have never dealt with a company so rude and cheap.

Was told they are voiding our warranty because it was given to us as a gift.

Finally set up the Saluspa Madrid and everything you need is in the box. The pump is also the inflator and can keep the unit blown up though slightly confusing on how to use the adapter for bubble/air.

The app as of 8/10/22 does not allow me to create and account so no idea if the smart functions work. It’s a cheap inflatable spa to test the waters for a full hard version.

We were so excited to get this hot tub, I am absolutely shocked that QVC is selling this with the non-existent directions. If somebody did not have access to the internet to look up multiple YouTube videos to see how to use this I mean everything from setting it up to using the controls to how to manage keeping the water clean, There is nothing nothing in this box that would possibly help you.

So if you are good at researching things on YouTube then go for it. We’ve only had this for about a month and a half so I cannot speak to its longevity but so far after umpteen hours of research it works well.

It is much larger than I expected. Did follow what one of the YouTube presenters suggested and bought a foam mat to go underneath it, It does make it more comfortable to sit in and protects it. It does have to be occasionally filled up with air which was concerning and surprising at first but I believe we’ve added extra air Twice in the last month and a half.

Buy extra filters on Amazon or pool store. Do not count on he chlorine or bromine dispenser provided to give you enough coverage. I use a small floating bromine dispenser. When you watch the YouTube videos, They will explain how to take care of this.

The one I really recommend is the Englishman He has this exact hot tub The only thing you have to do is account for how many gallons of water are in the pool, 310, instead of liters. And account for measurements of product in metric instead of US standard measurements.

But that’s easy enough to do Just don’t think that you’re going to get out of this without a lot of work on your side as far as learning goes. When we watched the videos it’s not difficult to put together or maintain.

There is a little learning curve. But that being said our family loves it. I Don’t think I would put any more than four adults in it Even though it says It will fit more unless everybody wants to sit cross-legged.

We have placed our hot tub about 230′ from our home, in a location surrounded by trees. Yes, we’re currently hooked up with extension cords, but since we love the location we will “hard wire” the spa with its own dedicated breaker and buried line.

BE SURE that your spa is both grounded AND bonded! Yes, there’s a lot of research involved with this product (no directions, etc. ) but it has been a dream to use: looking up to the sky and watching the eagles gliding on the wind, or seeing the lightning bugs if we’re out there in the evening.

so peaceful! We change our filter every single time we use it, which takes only 30 seconds. I wash the filters at my kitchen sink with an old toothbrush, no soap. The little bit of bromine we need, along with pH decrease has been far friendlier to my skin than I thought it would be— there’s barely any chlorine smell at all–we’re testing the water every third day or so.

We are comfortable with just two adults and a child. Four adults would have to sit cross-legged to avoid touching legs and feet. The “bubbles” feature is actually outdoor air being pumped into the water, so of course the temperature will drop.

Ours drops only 2 degrees, even if we run the bubbles continuously for a couple of hours. The bubbles splash a bit and that’s usually enough to chase away any bees or mosquitoes. We built up a platform of sand and laid down a tarp for our spa to sit on.

As for additional air, we’ve only added more air once–when we dumped the water (a failed attempt to use pool salt without a necessary ionization machine–Live and Learn!) Now admittedly this is the first inflatable hot tub I’ve owned. It’s been setup for about 6-7 days now. Now the pros and cons Pros: I needed it big enough to fit the whole family (5 people, and it does.

For an inflatable it’s durable and included a nice half inflatable cover that straps down. Cons: I plugged it in and heated it for 3 days. It only reached 99 degrees. We finally got tired of waiting on it and got it.

We got in during the day when it was mid to high 60s outside. Within an hour the water temp had fallen from 99 to 93. Fast forward a day later and it had only reached 99 again. This time we got in at night when it was colder outside.

Got in at 99 and the temp fell all the way to 90 in an hour. The next day I went out to check on it hoping it had finally heated up and someone had turned my power strip off. Turned it back on and the water temp was 72 degrees.

So I kicked it back on and a day later it’s at 90 degrees. I’ve had it setup 6 days heating and it hasn’t reached over 99 degrees. Every day it’s been in the 60s or higher. I will honestly be surprised if it ever hits 100 let alone 104.

The heating element is absolute garbage. If this thing actually heated up then it would be awesome. But it just doesn’t. And once it heats the little bit that it does, it quickly loses heat and gets cold when the cover comes off.

They need to put a better heating element in the tub or even double elements of the one that’s in it. As it stands I would not buy this again and I would not recommend it to anyone either. I paid $750 for a warm tub that blows cold bubbles with cold air when I thought I was buying a hot tub.

If the whole purpose of it doesn’t work then it’s Junk. Maybe change the name description from heated hot tub to Luke warm mini swimming pool. Not a fan.

I have always loved hot tubs but they are so expensive, plus you have to pay for the electrical work. When I found out that there were inflatable hot tubs that plug into regular outlets from I knew I needed to try it out and see what the hype was all about.

It was so easy to assemble and I was so impressed with how rigid it was. It only took 24 hours for the water to come to temperature and we have used it almost every day since we have set it up! I love that it plugs into a regular outlet, fits our entire family, has safety clips for the cover that my kids can’t undo, has a cushioned floor to sit on so it doesn’t feel like you’re sitting on concrete, and that it has been super easy to keep clean and maintain.

One piece of the hot tub came defective and I filled out a warranty request online which was super easy and they had the new piece to my house, no questions asked, within 5 days of filling out the request! I was super impressed! We have loved sharing it with our friends and family and we can’t wait to use it all winter long! If you’ve always wanted a hot tub but didn’t want to spend thousands on one and have to pay to upgrade your electrical, this is the way to go! For $415 this is 100% worth the money!!! It comes with everything you need to get it up and running except the chemicals.

This is so well-designed and much more spacious than I thought it would be! Perfect for two adults. Strong, churning action. Plenty of heat. Easy to set up. Inflates itself in less than 5 minutes. Comes with an attachment that allows it to deflate itself as well, for storage.

Bottom is padded for comfort (does not inflate). Ingenious inflatable cover is held tight with strong clips. Once filled with cold tap water, takes about 30 hours to heat up to 104 degrees, depending on the outside temperature.

Got this one specifically because it has a feature called “Freeze Shield” that automatically protects it when outside temperatures drop. Apparently you can operate this in weather down to 14 degrees.

A lot of these types of spas don’t work in cold weather. Really nice touch-sensitive controls (not those cheap controls with a layer of thin hard plastic over buttons that eventually punch through). Works with wet fingers and literally requires touch, NOT pressure.

Built-in timer lets you program downtime to save energy. Filter pump is relatively quiet. Instructions could be better, but all the info is there. It’s just not organized or illustrated very well. Tiny, tiny line drawings you may need to magnify to make any sense of them (it’s like they shrunk down instructions originally designed for a much larger print format).

You’ll need to buy maintenance gear: test kit, chemicals (one small chlorine tab was more than enough to treat the 177 gallons) and more filters (2 were included), plus a skimmer and a vac of some kind.

If you have a small pool, you’ll already have those things. If not, plan to spend another hundred bucks. Luckily, this spa is so affordable, the money you save vs. other spas will more than cover your supplies, many times over.

If you’ve been thinking about one of these, do not hesitate. You will love it.

I have always wanted a hot tub at home but never thought it would happen! I love the Coleman AirJet Tahiti Plus for the following reasons: It’s portable. Don’t like the location on the deck or in a back yard? I can move it.

Want to take it camping? An inflatable hot tub can go along for the ride and be used on site. Easy to set up. I did not have to hire anyone to set up the Coleman SaluSpa Tahiti Plus Hot Tub. My husband and I were able to read the instructions and set the hot tub up on our own.

Size. Inflatable hot tubs come in a variety of sizes, and we were able to find one large enough for our family or for entertaining. Good entry-level price point. With the average price of traditional hot tubs being in the thousands, an inflatable hot tub is a great price for someone trying out a hot tub.

Easy to determine chemicals. We have never owned a hot tub or a pool. Using pool chemicals seemed overwhelming at first, but the Coleman SaluSpa Tahiti Plus Hot Tub manual and a brief Google research session helped me with everything I needed to keep our hot tub water clean.

Bought just before Christmas to enjoy over the holidays and really glad we did! Please make sure you read the instructions carefully – everything is there but take the time to read through several times.

I would recommend the LED lights to add a little atmosphere. Wash the filter every day and check chlorine and pH daily and adjust as needed. Useful to have a manual pump to top up the air when inflating for the first time and should it need it thereafter.

I bought B and Qs rubber matting for workshops/garages and have two layers which provides better protection and less expensive than the recommended matting which you will need. Recommend buying from B and Q.

Quality is very good (so far) and value for money is excellent and is ease of operation. Any regrets? Yes – we should have bought one years ago!.

I bought this for my disabled child who absolutely loves water. Its a pain constantly keeping a paddling pool warm. She needs warm water as has a heart condition. This hot tub stays warm once its heated up.

My little one loves the air jets and the warm water. Easy to maintain the water balance and again product easy to use. Instructions are not worth the paper its written on. Ive used you tube for everything from how to set up to cleaning and maintenance.

I was thinking on the smaller hot tubs but this one is perfect as its a good size for my kids to play in with a comfortable space. Not that expensive to run if if its left heated up. I have had mine on for a full month and cost around 30 quid for the whole month.

My kids have been in and out of the hot tub most days. Its definitely worth the price tag.

With a new move, we decided to get a new hot tub. Of course, with Covid, we were looking at waiting at least a year from our usual dealer. After a week of searching for someone with a hot tub that could arrive in less than a few seasons, we found one online at Sam’s.

Our previous hot tubs were in the $10-15,000 range, making this a big step down in price. It took three tries to actually purchase it at Sam’s Club, as they kept charging my card and then dropping the sale.

Then, a few months later, we got a call that it was ready for delivery. Sam’s isn’t very good at communicating. It arrived well packaged. Assembly was a bit off, with several screws not flush with the side.

Once we got it hooked up and filled, we noticed that the head cushions kept detaching and floating off. Not sure if it was the placement of the screws for the holder or problems with the foam headrests themselves, but it’s a little annoying that they slip off on their own and travel around the tub.

The jets aren’t as strong as we were used to, but, so far, it heated up well and we had a nice soak last night. All in all, it’s a decent tub. The waterfall is fairly useless, as it sprays over the filter so you can’t sit in front of it (in our last tub, it was part of one of the seats, and having a steady stream of water hitting your neck was relaxing).

I’d say it was worth what we paid for it. If I couldn’t find a more advanced model (especially one with multiple motors and stronger jets), I’d probably buy it again.

This is my first hot tub and I am very happy with it. Would have paid twice as much for the same thing at a local dealer. Tons of jets, cool lighting, and great look with the gray and white. Cover is solid too.

Bluetooth speakers add a nice touch. It is pretty big and fits my family comfortably. We are very happy and felt like we got a good value buying through a big box store instead. Highly recommend!.

My hot tub was delivered 30 days early. The delivery was as advertised, delivered on a pallet to my driveway. Me and three friends got it set up on the concrete pad. The wiring was straightforward as well, with one dedicated 50 amp breaker on a 230V power feed.

Excellent features and we could not be happier with this purchase!!! I unwrapped and inspected the entire hot tub before the truck left and there was no damage.

1) Why do cup holders slope to the water? Can’t put anything on them or it slides into tub. Have seen other complaints about this but it should be an easy fix so why not fix it. 2) Opening into equipment compartment is way to big.

Could be two smaller pieces so I did not have to remove 24 screws to open it and get power cord. 3) Your shipper sucks. Did not arrive first 2 times it was supposed to and then early on the third time.

Also, why ship to hot tub from San Diego to Phoenix and then Phoenix to Yuma. San Diego to Yuma is about HALF the distance from San Diego to Phoenix. Phoenix to Yuma is about TWICE the distance from San Diego to Yuma.

This thing is amazing. I can’t believe it is a 120v plug and play hot tub. Filled it with 58F water and it took 2 days to reach 104F. 104F feels great to my old bones. I was concerned about the power of 22 jets, being that it is a single 120v pump, but I can honestly say they are more powerful than I expected – and my back loves them as much as I do! I highly recommend this hot tub.

I keep getting emails on reviews on the product. I rated a 1 as I haven’t received anything so I dont know what it is yet although my email gets multiple emails a week to review my purchase. I ordered my hottub weeks ago and the shipping keeps getting pushed back.

Such a shame I took the day off it was supposed to be here and now it will be 1-2 weeks after that. This will be my first purchase I get to make a payment on my credit card before actually getting the product.

Perfect hot tub for us! Love how the seat are evenly spaced and lots of cup holders!! Although wayfairs shipping department sucked… the delivery guys were great though!

We love our hot tub very easy set up and just right for us. Jets are just right and lightning makes for a relaxing evening with a glass of wine.

Just had my first soak in my 6 person Osaka. I’m sooo relaxed and blissed out now. Back pain melted away as I floated and I’m still warm and floating around as I walk now. Set up was fairly easy, took me about an hour to do it on my own but that included laying lino underneath for insulating.

It took about 2-3 hours to fill from my 1. 5 bar pressure hose and then another 16 hours to heat up to 42 (but it is October). It seems to have retained heat well with the inflatable lid and bubble wrap liner.

It’s really spacious, I’m 6 foot and fairly big in every way and I could stretch out, float, do physio exercises. The motor isn’t quiet by my standards but I don’t know what others are like. The splashing noise of the bubbles was almost as loud as the motor so it didn’t bother me too much.

Extras: headrests are good but are a luxury not a necessity. Inflatable cushions/trays very difficult to fill, comfy but again not really necessary. Cheap bubble mat liiner/lid probs worth the price but not more.

Inflatable lid is excellent as is quality in general. It’s definitely the best 1k I’ve spent this year and is a good size for tall people like me. It looks good too, luxurious and stylish. I recommend.

Delivery bloke was not good, slammed it around and then left me to get it inside, which I couldn’t without unpacking the boxes and bringing them in- so not great for a disabled person but I managed it in the end.

The individual parts were light enough to manage, mostly.

Fairly easy to assemble, and all parts present to get up and running. Nice features include drainage tube which is integrated into the base, making emptying way easier as you’re no longer scooping out that last 6 inches of water.

Best features are the foam density and their insulating properties. First, the rigidness means that the tub holds its shape. Second, the insulation means that you get around 2C increase per hour when heating, probably 2-3 times quicker than a lazy spa.

Also means that the cost is lowered maintaining heat, and you’ll see about a 1C drop for a 35 minute session with the air jets, instead of around 3-4 with the other spas. Finally, the air jets are also stronger, and have 5 or 6 places where they go vertically up the side – so you get a nice pummelling massage up your back.

All in all, a much better spa than inflatables, with some extra tweaks to make maintenance just that little bit easier. The pump unit even has a storage compartment for spare filters.

Finally set this up in time for the Easter Break, and I am so happy we did as we have been in it nearly every day since. We’ve put it inside a wood built structure with some extra insulation boards underneath it and the temperature is holding up just fine.

Plus apart from the first day, I haven’t noticed any massive increase of our heating bill as we have a smart meter that I tend to check at the end of each day. We previously had a Wave inflatable (that evenutually got a slow puncture) and we see this as the next step up, so far so good 👍🏻🤞🏻.

It’s also deeper than the inflatable, so easy to keep yr shoulders under and the bubbles up the sides of the liner give a good back massage.

We watched a lot of youtube videos on the Lifesmart Coronado which is basically the same hot tub but only has one pump and fewer jets. We bought this from Sams on sale and are super happy with it. The hot tub arrived two weeks ahead of the schedule date, everything was communicated and scheduled online.

The delivery company was awesome and moved the pallet to the edge of my driveway next to our grass. The hot tub came completely wrapped in plastic, so me and two friends slid it off the pallet onto a moving blanket on the grass keeping it vertical like it came on the pallet.

I pulled/steered while my two friends pushed. It was a breeze to slide across our grass and slid it onto another moving blanket on our concrete patio to slide it in place. Super easy! The electrician wired everything up which took him under twenty minutes.

We absolutely love it. The surface isn’t as smooth as acrylic but not as rough as other reviews made it out to be. The jets are very powerful. We fit four adults comfortably, could fit more but you’d be rubbing legs for sure.

Bought this model in May, came end of July but the shipping company didn’t have tub secured and was found sideways sitting on a couple floor jacks in semi. Not the companies fault but didn’t sign for it not knowing what damage was done.

Received new tub that wasn’t bouncing around in semi and looked like the shipper was much more careful this time! Too another couple weeks. We used to have an acrylic tub and this one has a rougher texture which I don’t might, but sediment and foaming like crazy.

There is a ring around the tub that I wipe out frequently but still stained it appears. This is our first fill. And not sure why we can’t get the chemical balance right, wasn’t an issue with last tub.

I will be taking water sample to local hot tub store to see if we can figure out why it’s foaming so much and see why we can’t achieve balance with pH, hardness, etc. also, the cover definitely is not gonna hold up to winter use in wisconsin, so I’m planning on getting a heavier cover for it as well.

No leaks, was easy to hook up. Jets are awesome! Love the light colors and water fall! Just a couple issues as above.

Bottom line is the that this tub is excellent at the $3500 range we paid for it. If it is not on sale or clearance, wait until it is. Very powerful and just enough features. 34” is more than deep enough unless you are very tall (my husband is 6’3”).

The comparisons of the surface to sand paper are ridiculous and just inaccurate. The surface is TEXTURED to prevent you from slipping. The “gritty” feel is a little aggressive/rough initially but wears down after time.

The slip resistant feature is a GREAT BONUS (google slip, trips and falls in spas/hot tubs if you do not believe me). Be prepared to place the tub where you want as it is delivered curbside strapped vertically to a pallet.

We were able to pull it around our yard to the backyard using a hand jack. This is definetly not a high end tub with all the extras but is powerful and reliable purchase. It is the Toyota Camry of the Hot Tub world.

If you want a Mercedes equivalent, go to your local Pool & Spa wholesaler.

Definitely a great budget friendly hot tub. Would never in a million years fit 7 people. More like 3 adults 2 kids MAX. The jets work great. I love the water fall feature. Some points to know ahead of time, 1 the texture is not the same as an acrylic tub.

It’s definitely a plastic “rougher” surface. This is not to say it’s rough and certainly has not irritated our skin. I see this a pro as it limits injuries due to slipping in the tub or when entering and exiting the tub.

When the tub arrives DO NOT FILL until you have gotten into the main frame and tightened the pipes. You get a very limited manual with the tub amd nothing says to do this 1st. My tub was leaking all over initally and I freaked out.

Once we tightened the pipes we were good to go. Getting to the power and pipes SUCKS. You have to take off the whole side panel and it’s has about 15 screws. This baby heats fast, 3-4 hours to get from 60 to 95.

I was impressed. The jets are great, no complaints. The lights are nice. I wish they went through slower. I had seen videos of this model with a slower color rotation but the tub i have does not seem to do that.

If I had the choice I would buy this tub again. The only thing I would change is the size. I wish it was really a 7 person tub.

This review is based on my experience alone. I bought the LS500 Plus SOLELY because this website under ‘Features’ and ‘Product Details’ indicated and I confirmed via a sales rep using the chat widget that this unit was Voltage: 120 Volt / 240 Volt and 110V plugs into a standard outlet or 230V conversion – licensed electrician can supply the GFCI, conduit and wires to convert.

So, after confirming this unit was convertible to a 230v and also confirmed with the sales agent on the chat widget; I ordered it. In the meantime I hired and had an electrician to run a separate 230v curcuit for $700.

00 plus. When the unit came IT WAS NOT able to be converted to a 230v system. The sales rep misled me or was not sufficiently trained and the web-page for this product is incorrect misleading with false advertising.

NOW, after all that I can only say that at 110v only it appears to be working fine as it currently is still in the warm up mode. However, it is not what I wanted or paid for. Why did I not send it back? It cost me an additional $300.

00 to have it moved from the curb to the back of my house/deck. It will cost me the same to have it moved back to the curb and also the additional cost for me having to have it packed up and send it back.

I am still waiting to hear back from a manager, which I had to leave a voice message to get reimbursed for false advertising, ie, electrician cost’s etc. The customer service rep at the given number in the office, just said, “I’m sorry”.

If I only wanted a 110v system as this unit is, then I would probably rate all areas at 5 star’s.

The spa is great. Unfortunately, we had heavy winds and it ripped the cover clips right out of the hot tub. Also, is was shocked that there was a $200. 00 fee to deliver in the yard which was accomplished in minutes as there was direct access.

I expected an additional fee but not $200. 00.

This spa was so much nicer than I expected. We wanted a small one just for the health benefits. This was the perfect size to tuck in the garage. To our surprise, the jets are no joke. The cover is substantial and really helps maintain the heat.

I am 100% addicted. Our only issue is the access door which makes access near impossible. 7 very deeply countersunk wonky screws. 2 of them weren’t attached to anything, 2 others were so crooked it took forever to get them out.

Really????????? We have to come up with a fix for that but, right now, we’re too busy relaxing in this otherwise stellar spa!.

We are coming up on having this thing for a year and it’s been absolutely flawless. So glad we didn’t spend twice as much at a big box store. There certainly is no reason to do that. We ran it all the way through a harsh Chicago area winter with no problem at all.

We truely are enjoying it.

Nice hot tub. Well made. However the Bluetooth speaker doesn’t work well. It doesn’t always connect and when it is connected it skips often then loses connection all together.

Love love this tub!! We are in it everyday and the jets are a m a z I n g!! It took way to long to get to us but it was worth the wait! Great price too. Very very happy

We’ve owned for a few months now and I don’t have any complaints. Not too big and not too small. Perfect size. I love that when our power goes out and comes back on the tub automatically starts warming up to the set temperature.

Our other hot tub didn’t do this.

This hot tub has been a total nightmare at times. We ordered it to arrive right before Christmas. Still lots of winter months left to enjoy the hot tub. When it didn’t arrive or have accurate shipping updates, I reached out to Sam’s Club.

They had given the local delivery company the wrong phone number so it had been sitting there. Sam’s Club was awesome and gave us a 10% refund for the extra wait. But then the real issues started. We attempted to fill and heat the hot tub.

We woke up the next morning to a flipped breaker and a freezing cold hot tub. We called our electrician, who came out and determined the electrical board in the hot tub was bad. Hot tub company sent a new one, and a local technician came out and installed it.

During the wait, since temperatures were sub-zero here in Iowa, we had to purchase two small space heaters and have them running non-stop inside the bottom part of the hot tub to make sure nothing froze.

Once he installed the new part, we attempted to fill and heat the hot tub again, only to have a similar issue! The tech came back out and determined that the main pump was bad. Part ordered and installed.

FINALLY, a month and a half after receiving our hot tub, we finally got to use it. Approximately a month later, the other pump seems to have gone bad. We are waiting for the tech to come out and diagnose this issue, but here we are, two months in, with our third bad part.

Overall, the company has been good to work with, but we missed out on all that time during the time of year when we most wanted to enjoy the hot tub. It has been VERY disappointing and if I had known this about this hot tub before purchasing, I would have found a different one.

The hot tub company is reimbursing us for the two space heaters we purchased, but is refusing to reimburse our electric bill for that month when our usage was up 120% over the same month last year (clearly due to having two space heaters running 24/7).

For the short time that the hot tub has worked properly, we have enjoyed it a lot. The speakers, built in steps, and towel rack are nice features, but I absolutely would not recommend this giant headache!!!.

Great looking sturdy tub. Love the amount of jets, size, lounger and neck massagers. Very nice tub for the money compared to others priced out at local Spa stores. Of course, you’ll need to pay someone to install or do it yourself like we did.

Only disappointment at this point is: Even though I gave it a 4 star rating, I was very disappointed with lack of insulation in walls. In description of tub, the walls and base said they were filled with foam to provide a 2″ insulation barrier around tub.

This was a big selling point for me as we live in Maine and winters can be very cold. This also sounded like it would be much easier to work on piping and pump in future if needed. A lot of tubs have the piping sprayed with foam insulation that would need to be cut out if ever needing to work on.

When drilling through lower center side wall, on access panel side, to run electrical wire to connection point, this section had NO insulation at all. Also when looking at inside corners, there are several 1″ drilled holes showing inside of corners and none had insulation in them.

Makes me believe the rest of the walls and possibly floor have no insulation also. Worried about extra cost of electricity to heat because of this.

We have had nothing but PROBLEMS with this tub. First the manifold separated due to the manufacturer not properly joining the pipe resulting in quick full discharge off all the water in the middle of the winter.

Then two additional leaking problems resulting in non-stop babysitting of the tub to make certain it has enough water. The bluetooth speakers do not work at all. The exteriors of five of the six removable panels have spray foam on the exterior.

Spray foam is used on the interior. The installer was sloppy – he/she probably had foam on their gloves and transfered it to the panels when installing. When you use the towel warmer the action of opening and closing rubs on a jet – a design flaw that will likely manifest itself on your spa after the waranty period.

Oh, by the way, the manufacturer starts the warranty period when you buy this from Sams – not when itis delivered. So if you have to wait a few months to recieve, then you just lost two months of warranty.

Suprise!.

I use this hot tub way more than I thought I would. The lounge seat with the leg and feet jets is the best thing EVER. I look forward to getting in after a long, stressful day at the office. This is my second time owning a hot tub and this one is by far more enjoyable than the first one.

We shopped around for several months before deciding which spa to purchase. We chose this model for it’s size, number of jets, varied seating arrangement, and price. When it was delivered, it was wrapped in plastic and standing on one side, mounted to a wooden pallet.

The guys from the delivery company helped place it on our deck although this is not part of the delivery. This spa is 220 volt so it will heat the water as the jets run. When we set it up and turned it on for the first time, the water was 56 degrees.

It heated the water to 104 degrees in a few hours, much faster than we had anticipated. Our spa was delivered two weeks ago and we are very satisfied with our purchase.

My wife bought this for my Birthday. Delivery was quicker than expected and the unit was better than I had hoped. Got it set up in one afternoon (240 Wiring) and water was upo to temp the next morning.

Only got to use it one time before leaving town for a week but tested out all the water, air and light controls and it works great. This unit seems to be very strong construction. Better than the one I owned years ago and much less expensive.

I couldn’t be happier with my present and I’m sure it will relaxing for many Birthdays to come.

Took a flyer and bought this Lifesmart tub on Ebay, sight unseen. Glad I did so far. Two weeks in, works great, and no regrets. Very solid construction (not flimsy plastic as they look in pictures—it is as firm as any acrylic spa) and jets are powerful enough.

LED lights are great and can change colors. This spa stays at temperature the entire time you are in. I previously had an inflatable spa which was fine, but very glad I upgraded. Runs very quiet compared to the inflatable spas (even with the jets on full), and as I mentioned doesn’t lose heat after a few minutes, and has 13 real jets, not cold air bubbles.

Mine arrived in three days after ordering! Chemicals are easy to maintain. As others have said it is a tighter fit with 4 adults, but seating is comfortable. (I’m 6 feet tall) I’m usually with my wife and/or two kids and it’s perfect.

If I had huge hot tub parties every weekend, I would probably opt for something bigger. Barely notice a change in electric bill running it all the time. Cover is thick and well constructed and keeps the water hot.

I’m generally very skeptical but I think for the average user this spa will fit the bill, I cannot see many reasons to spend more money. even on a different brand rotomolded spa. I plug mine into a dedicated 110vcircuit, and it works great, so I cannot attest if it would trip a breaker if you do not run it on its own circuit.

As for a negative (and I don’t really even think it’s a big deal). the jets have to run while the tub is heating, but you can turn them down via the valve on top, so it’s still quiet. Does take about 24 hours to initially heat up (from 50 degrees).

It also runs twice a day to cycle and filter the water—and those times are adjustable. Overall I do not have anything bad to say about it. If you are on the fence about purchasing, I say go for it!.

The best thing ever if you’ve been wanting a hot tub just go for it this is a great tub some people called a small. I don’t find it to be small at all I’ve had much more expensive ones that the seating wasn’t as deep somehow these have deep seating and the Jets are fabulous I can’t say enough great stuff about this hot tub!! The cover is fantastic it’s easy to get it started it’s easy take care of.

Not to mention the price is fantastic! And it is not lacking in quality anywhere it is just the best ever!!!!10 star hot tub!!!!!!.
