20 Best Energy Drinks For Diabetics (2023 Updated)

This @zevia Zero Calorie Energy Drink was on sale at my neighborhood RCSS so I grabbed 2. I gave it a try yesterday afternoon. Here’s what I thought Price: It was a steal at $0. 98 cents. Presentation: I do really like the contrast of the orange and black, however the white lettering does not contrast well and the brand name is not easily picked out.

Taste: ⭐⭐ (2/5), I was really hoping for a stronger mango taste but the fruity taste got lost within the ‘energy drink’ taste. There was also also a weird after taste that comes with cheaper energy drinks.

Overall: Unless you are looking for a energy drink you are hoping to slam back, and not interested in the flavor- only at the price point I found it, would I suggest. In terms of Zevia products, the non energy drinks are much more pleasing.

So I will continue to purchase other Zevia products- but I won’t be going back for another energy drink.

Never really been an energy drink fan before until I tried Zevia. I have been a fan of the grapefruit flavor soda and as such have only been drinking the same flavor in the energy drink. I decided to change it up and go for the strawberry kiwi flavor and wow! Not only is the taste amazing, but I get the same boost and it helps me power through the afternoon slumps without any crashes.

Disappointed, too much coconut. Would have chosen a different flavor if I had known it wasn’t pure pineapple but rather its a bad pina colada attempt. The coconut is overwhelming. Doubling up on flavors isn’t always the best course of action.

A pure pineapple would be significantly better.

This is hands down the best energy drink I have ever tasted. No false advertising here. It gives me good, healthy energy, keeps me hydrated and does a tremendous job of enhancing my focus when I am working (I’m an attorney).

Zoa Original is my favorite flavor, but I also buy the Pineapple Coconut, the Lemon Lime and the Wild Orange (all zero sugar, listed in order of my favorite down), and every single one of them tastes incredible.

I could give many reasons why this will be the only energy drink I ever buy again, but I will just include one in this review: the source of the caffeine. Zoa uses all natural caffeine from green coffee and green tea extracts, while most of its competitors use synthetic caffeine (synthetic caffeine is produced from urea and chloroacetic acid rather than extracted from plant products like natural caffeine).

My only complaint about Zoa is that it is still in limited production/release. It isn’t sold at any of the grocery stores in my city or at big box stores like Walmart and Target. Once this thing is widely released, I can’t imagine how much market share it is going to take over.

I always order online because when I call GNC or The Vitamin Shoppe, they are always sold out! They tell me that Zoa is the only energy drink in their store that completely sells out every time, they always have every other energy drink in stock.

I always ask the person on the other end of the line when they expect to get more, and they give me an estimated shipment date, but then they tell me that it sells out so fast that I would need to show up that day if I want to buy any!.

I had been waiting for this to drop for months and once the sugar free version was available I ordered a case from the site. Got the Original Sugar Free and honestly, it’s not good. The flavor is medicinal and has a super nasty after taste.

Definitely disappointed because I was expecting something really amazing considering all the hype around this energy drink. But what was even more disappointing is the fact that these cans have a plastic wrapper around the aluminum.

Aluminum is 100% recyclable but the minute you put a plastic wrapper on it – it no longer is unless the consumer takes the time to remove the wrapper. I get that you likely aren’t going to make changes to your drink formula and that’s fine – but PLEASE eliminate the plastic from these cans! It’s lazy and complete unnecessary and honestly, it’s the most disappointing thing about this product.

Omg this stuff is amazing. I mixed it twice a day with Teremana Tequila. I danced for 8 hours straight up in da club and lost 35 lbs of fat. Then hit the gym after and gained like 13 lbs of muscle in two hours.

My bench and squat increased by 15% overnight. Then I slept 10 hours like a baby. I woke up and had three new sweet chest and shoulder tats that just magically appeared. My skin became super tan and I starting understanding when people spoke Simoan to me!! This is by far the best energy drink ever.

I loved how incredibly refreshing and light it is. It felt like I was having a sparkling water versus an energy drink. It gave the perfect amount of energy when I needed it. I purchased it on a whim at target and loved it.

I plan to purchase the full 12 pack soon. It helped me go hard on my workout without making me feel a hard crash. Highly recommended!!.

I like the lemony lime the best. It’s great for type 2 diabetics. It literally has No calories, No carbs or No Sugar. It has a great taste. I haven’t gotten more energy from it. It’s still the first day lol.

I tried samples of two of them (raspberry+ Acai and mango) in Sam’s club and they were tasty so I gave In and purchased the variety pack. In the end, lemony lime had the mildest taste and I stick to that.

I actually bought a multipack with raspberry flavour too. I absolutely love this drink. I like that it has all natural ingredients which aren’t bad for you and are sugar free and vegan. They taste lovely and definitely keeps you energised throughout the day.

I am obsessed with these! Just like the regular sugar free but better. I love getting the smaller cans because they don’t have too much caffeine. The flavor of these is great and I wish I could find them in more places.

Although most people don’t like coconut flavouring or sugar free products , neither of these things seem to be valid within the red bull. It reminds me of a white freezie and full of flavour. It’s one that I enjoyed again and again , thank god it wasn’t a limited edition one they put out.

The redbull sugar free coconut berry energy drink is my go to drink for red bull. I was so excited when they came out with it because it is so good! They are a bit pricey with their sizing compared to other energy drink companies but red bull is so worth it.

Oxyshred OG (powder) has never gave me enough energy. But i take it daily to suppress my appetite since I’m up at 4:30am and don’t have a chance for breakfast until 10am. Oxyshred Ultra energy worked just as well!!! Again not too crazy caffeinated (180mg) which is a perfect morning wake me up or a mid day pick me up.

Personally never use it as an actual pre-workout (it all depends on your personal caffeine tolerance) but I am legit shocked on how much I liked this. I personally got the Guava flavor since I HATE GUAVA.

I wanted to be a tough critic. but honestly, it was amazing good!! I love sweet things and the guava was definitely it!! I’m definitely getting another case for my road trip next month.

FINALLY A 10/10 Taste is AMAZING!!!!! YUM flavour tasted just like a Pina Colada with a light fizz! Not too fizzy and didn’t taste like soda water. Just perfect! Could drink it all day! Actually pleasantly surprised by these drinks!! Clean energy is something people say a lot, and it can be confusing if you aren’t quite sure what that means. This is IT. It’s an experience, and when you know – you know.

I used to be loyal to C4 cans but this is truly better. I have used EHP mixable pre-workout and this is definitely an upgrade. I probably won’t shake my own pre-workout ever again. As far as flavor, I really enjoy the peach rings.

I don’t care for the guava paradise but isn’t that bad to where I can’t finish the case. I will try a different flavor next time.

I just read some previous reviews and would like to clarify that this is not garden variety corn starch. This product is manufactured by processing non gmo cornstarch for 40 hours converting it into superstarch.

Superstarch is a slowly digested carbohydrate that does not stimulate an insulin response. Why is this important? Because it provides carbs for energy without interfering with ketosis (burning fat as an energy source).

No insulin spike allows athletes access to burn multiple fuels both carbs and fat and that’s why this product really shines. That said, I have been using this plain mix along with cocoa powder, trivia sweetener, some vanilla extract and a couple of blueberries in the blender for a great prerun shake.

I have plenty of energy on long runs, currently running up to 2 hours on one scoop in a 16 oz shake. I’ve had a lot of success using this as an ingredient in gluten free pancakes and am starting to experiment on other recipes with quite a bit of success.

Unlike sugar based energy supplements, which give me an explosion of energy early and a crash at the end, this product delivers controlled fuel over a long time period. I haven’t ever bonked using this and am happy with my performance since switching to it.

I was introduced to UCAN superstarch products about 5 years ago by a triathlon friend. I’ve been using both the pre workout superstarch only products, as well as the protein enhanced products ever since.

Never bonk, consistent energy without heavy calories or sugars. Easy on the stomach and provides a great consistent energy delivery throughout my workout, can go for hours with nothing but water and electrolytes.

No need to carry gels, bars, or anything else. Love mixing the protein enhanced into an all natural smoothie after workout with fresh fruit, and yogurt and almond milk. Keeps me lean and also a great pick me up in the afternoon instead of grabbing a candy bar.

Have also enjoyed all the UCAN bars as well. Make sure you have a good shaker bottle for the UCAN mixes.

I’ve used the product extensively, testing it in various different situations. I first was introduced to the product during a research project being conducted by Dr. Patrick Davitt at Mercy College. After hearing about the benefits I decided to try the product for myself.

First I tried the Ucan on a 6 hour aerobic pace trail run taking a 25g dose every hour & it worked amazingly. I felt great for the entire run. Next I tried it for a high intensity climb where my heart rate was regularly over 170 bpm & went as high 190 bpm.

For this effort I didn’t notice any performance gain. I brought pre mixed Ucan on a moderate hike & discovered that it held up very well. I am a very low carb athlete & I love this product because it does not spike blood glucose levels like most other sports drinks.

I only take Ucan when performing efforts 6 hours & longer because I avoid carbohydrates as much as possible. I highly recommend this product to everyone especially low carb athletes.

I think overall this is a good productive. I do feel alert after drinking eboost and I don’t feel like I’m going to have a heart attack while drinking it. I also don’t get a headache or feel like I’m crashing after drinking one.

I got the multiflavor pack and the blue raspberry and strawberry lemonade were my favorite flavors. The ginger lime though needs a major improvement on taste. It was awful. It tasted like magnesium citrate, which if you don’t know, is an over the counter laxative.

But overall I enjoyed the rest of them and plan on buying more.

I used to drink 4-5 Red Bull or Monsters a day to keep me going through a long and intense workload. My stomach was destroyed and the effects I was looking for to keep my going eventually stopped working.

I was reluctant to try a natural product and am kicking myself for not embracing EBOOST sooner !! I have one a day, which I now crave, and it keeps me going through the day. I feel mental clarity and never tired.

I do not miss the jittery feeling that those other drinks used to give me. This feels clean in my body and I don?t experience any bad side effects !! Give it a try, you won?t be sorry!.

I really like these for how much better they are for me than my usual energy drinks. I just had a baby so finding clean products, especially free of food coloring and other chemicals, lower sugar, and overall healthier ingredients is very important but I also need that energy because this mama is TIRED! It gives me just the right amount, especially in the afternoon, without feeling over caffeinated.

It’s a bit pricier than others but definitely worth the benefits. If I had ANY complaints I’d say they’re just a tad too sweet for me but that’s not a deterrent.

My wife has been drinking spark for about two years now. This garbage makes her urine smell like acid rain. The smell is so bad i have to give it ten to fifteen minustes to clear out after she’s been in the bathroom.

It has way too much caffeine in it and really is no better than any over the counter energy drink. And, basically Advocare is nothing but a pyramid of mediocre and sub standard products. Just ask your physician.

I’ve only used it a couple of times, i just bought it a few days ago. I have been using Advocare products for years. I will not live one day without MNS E. Advocare are the purest, finest and most high-tech supplements in the world.

A little expensive but it costs money to keep upgrading and improving your products like they do. Professional athletes depend on Advocare so do i. I work lots of long, hot hours in the construction industry.

I rely on Advocare. Spend a little more money on the best. Don’t throw away your money on the rest. PERIOD.

Giving this a two because the product does get the job done (big fan of other flavors and use the product regularly). My turn off for this flavor is that it smells exactly how you would imagine vitamins and minerals smelling-not good.

(Even though it is super awesome there’s so much nutrients in there). My other problem was that this flavor wasn’t very strong and I found myself not enjoying it/forcing myself to finish. It does leave you energized, but I definitely recommend other flavors that don’t smell and taste so bad!.

I was anxious to try these, fearing I wouldn’t like some of the flavors (there are several normal Zevia drinks that just aren’t my favs). I was pleasantly surprised to find that each one I opened was better than the last.

My favs are probably the pineapple and Kola, though the raspberry is also yummy. Strawberry Kiwi is my least favorite, but it’s really not bad and I don’t mind it. These were my first ever energy drinks, so I can’t compare them to other brands for that, but I do like the little kick they give (this already over-caffeinated) mama.

I will definitely be purchasing again!.

Had recently started drinking a competitor’s energy drink, until now! Zevia has always been one of my “go to” soda’s because of its clean ingredients and no sugar or artificial ingredients. This new energy drink takes things to a whole new level! My first taste of it and I immediately dumped my other brand.

Zevia’s has zero calories, clean ingredients and it’s packed with flavor! Now my fridge is stocked with nothing but Zevia!.

Im not an energy drink drinker usually but since I’m a fan of the sodas I tried them. They taste really good, especially the Kola and the Pineapple. I definitely notice the energy boost- just enough caffeine like a good coffee but not so much that my heart races or palpitations happen.

So so good! I would be stoked if zevia made a pineapple soda!.

Excellent customer service. Products delivered quickly! Flavor of protein was on point. The C4s new flavors and ingredients have an excellent boost of cognitive function and energy levels. I’ll also say the serving size of the creatine was the right amount! Usually it’s a few off on other brands- so that was a plus.

C4 SmartEnergy is one of the top, if not the best, energy drinks I’ve had (and I’ve had more than I’d like to admit). I recently had to make the transition to night shifts, working long days on minimal sleep, these have been a lifesaver.

They taste great-my favorite is electric sour which is the tastiest take on sour gummy worms that I’ve had to date. It is tart, refreshing, and flavorful. That being said, the other flavors are on point as well.

The energy boost is great; with 200mg caffeine it allowed me to stay focused and not doze off without any crash. They are sugar free and calorie free as well. Definitely worth a try!.

When I discovered I have a somewhat rare coffee allergy, Monster Energy drinks were my saving grace, as far as caffeine fulfillment goes. I love the kick, I love the taste, and by far the best zero sugar bang for the flavor.

No weird aftertaste and completely satisfying and satiating. Thank you for making my coffee-less life more complete. I would say that for a zero sugar drink the flavor is completely the opposite but since the negation of zero is zero, I will just say its flavor score is infinity.

My husband loves the flavor combination for this pack. It’s cheaper than buying one at a time every few days, or even 4 packs once a week. If your household drinks these flavors and can finish this pack in under 2 months, YES it will absolutely save you money.

If you don’t drink them frequently though just check the use by date before you buy. It will just taste a little off if you go too far past the date.

Cans were extremely beat up. Had to use a glass or risk cutting your mouth. Pop tops didn’t stand a chance of workingn had to use a can opener.

I’ve been taking Athletic greens daily for just at a year now and the only days I haven’t taken it is if I’m doing a longevity fast (Prolon – for cellular autophagy) and can’t take anything else. I specifically added in Athletic greens at a time in my life where I made no other significant changes for 3 months to see the results of this product alone (prior to any other changes) – then only after that 3-months started to add other things in because science.

🙂 I’ve seen major changes in my body and my health which is fantastic. I also take the vitamin D and fish oil by Athletic greens and love that they are NSF certified and give very clear instructions and details about what’s inside the product, which helps me feel confident about I’m taking.

I take the travel packs when I’m going away or traveling and they are fantastic – easy to carry which helps me maintain my routine. For those curious about the taste – I think it’s what you would expect greens to taste like – in my opinion, they are decent and acceptable.

They mix easily in cold water, and I love the hint of pineapple taste that gives it a little sweetness. Clearly, I can take it daily so I’m not complaining and always look forward to AG being a part of my morning routine.

It’s been tough waiting 30-min to drink coffee, however, I believe in the long-run my health and wellness is worth it, so I’m willing to do it. Similarly, I put this product into my budget like I do anything else – and again, for my health and wellness, it’s worth it.

I’ve tried other greens powders before, and I didn’t see a difference – this one is top notch. I have a sensitive stomach and it’s gone down easy. I look forward to receiving my shipment each month and really love the feeling I get after drinking my greens each morning.

My body is worth it!!.

I have been taking Ag1 for only 4 weeks now. Now for me I can’t yet have the full portion (1 full scoop), only half of it. I have noticed that my gut is not yet quite used to it fully, therefore reducing it to half of scoop/day I tolerate it better than 1 full scoop/day.

I am pretty sure in a matter of another few weeks I will be able to get to 1 full scoop, as it takes some time for my gut to “get used to it” so to speak. I get quite bloated from 1 full scoop. I do mention that I have gut issues & I m currently working on them through targeted diet & probiotics, so I fully expected not to be able to tolerate 100% Ag1.

These being said, it really depends on each person how well is AG1 tolerated & for sure individuals who do not have gut imbalances, it’s well tolerated. In spite of these, I do think AG1 is a very good product.

Since I’m only 4 weeks in only with half of the daily amount, it’s way too soon for me to notice some effects. But the reason I decided to try AG1 is due to a few health issues (including recovery after Covid-19 – lots of coughing – and the flu; both happened in a very short timespan to me).

It may be a correlation, but normally I cough up to 8 weeks after the flu/covid-19. I’m on my 4th week of AG1 & 5 weeks since my last flu and I did notice that the cough has subsided dramatically (almost all by now).

I will definitely get back with another review after I will have been using the product for 3 months, as its effects are cumulative. What I love the most is the rich list of ingredients it has & that they the provider has a very thorough process for making & testing AG1.

Also I found out about this product from Huberman Lab & Tim Ferris. Since the quality of information both of them provide through their podcasts is very high, it did make me trust even more the product, since it’s being used & recommended by them.

My only thing with this product is the high price. I do make a financial effort to order it, and for the moment I can afford it. I don’t know if it’s possible, but it would be very nice is the AG1 provider would find a way to make it a bit cheaper (maybe between 20-30 EUR cheaper).

It’s such a good product with quality ingredients which contains so many nutrients, that it’s a pity it’s not accessible to a larger public due to its high price. I also think that there are users who give it a go the 1st month, then they drop it & discontinue its use simply du to the price.

With a high price you also narrow a bit your customer base. Other than this, it’s quite a super supplement & personally I do not know of other supplement brands to have a quality product like AG1. There are lots of on the supplement market, but I might as well be taking grain flour in the pills, since a lot of them are not tested by certified parties with authority on the market.

I enjoy knowing I am doing something healthy for my body by using Athletic Greens. However, for me there are a couple minor drawbacks vs other powders that are hard to look past for the heftier price tag.

First is there is not an unsweetened/low sweet option. The drink (to me) is way too sickly sweet. They use non sugar natural sweeteners which have a strong and distinct flavor, and I personally like my green drink to taste a little “green.

” Second, while I love that they have the option for individual serving pouches I can mix on the go, the pouch design is problematic. This powder is ground ultra fine which means it mixes well, but because the packets are basically 2 squares sealed around the edges, the powder gets trapped easily in the crease of each edge.

It can be removed by tapping and squeezing the pouch over and over, but then that ultra fine powder gets puffed out in the air and settles on the surrounding surfaces. There is a reason every other “drink mix” pouch you see from sports drinks to instant coffee are sold in single serve “tubes,” and that is so the mix inside will pour out easily.

Also bedside a whole corner must be ripped off, it makes a large pour opening which is easy to make a mess when trying to pour into the mix bottle it comes with. Overall this is a fine product, and I know it has a lot of good stuff in it, but just having a hard time seeing how I will justify paying that much when there are so many other powders out there that will give me nearly the same benefits.

I use this to fuel my cycling workouts, both indoor turbo trainer sessions and outdoor rides, and also as a post workout recovery drink. It helps me perform much better and I also find my legs are far less sore than if I were to use just water.

If you’re looking for a balanced fuel source that really works I can definitely recommend this. The Berry flavour tastes really nice and is easy on the stomach. Also very reasonably priced.

I have used chocolate flavour High5 Recovery after all my rides, for years now. The taste makes me crave it (!) and mixed with milk gives plenty of protein to aid recovery. The best before dates usually give me over a year to use.

Discount Supplements have delivered very quickly.

High5 4:1 Used during Spinning and Body Pump ( back to back sessions). Used on long cycle rides up to 40 miles. I feel as though my recovery is better and I’m able to train the following day. My husband who is 70 swears it sustains him when he plays walking football.

Great value it being as much as £34 on some sites. I paid £41 for two 1. 6kg citrus flavour which I much prefer, the berry flavour is too sweet.

This review will be my honest opinion, again it’s my opinion and my taste buds might not be the same as everyone’s. I just got the package yesterday and was just now able to inspect it. The first thing that caught my attention was the plastic label around the can.

I thought the can was cheap, or that it was a faulty manufacturing process, I was close to sending it back. Luckily I took a closer look and determined it was just a plastic label. The plastic label quickly took me to another route which made me a bit disappointed, bc we humans do not need more plastic in our lives, nor the planet we live in.

Again this is my opinion but I would have preferred if the cans were labeled and colored like any other regular can, unless this plastic label it biodegradable. Now, upon taking the first sip of this drink, I got the sensation that I was drinking watered down pineapple juice with a hint of carbonation.

So basically I felt like I was drinking a regular soda pop. After continuing drinking it, the flavor of green tea makes a itself present, which could be the reason it tasted like watered down pineapple juice.

The more I drank, the better the taste. So to summarize, the drink itself it’s pretty good, it doesn’t hit like other drinks loaded with caffeine. It does give you a slight jolt of energy. But for those of us that are used to 300mg of caffeine it’s just a regular soda pop.

Going to try the other flavors, but I’m gonna try the zero sugar first.

I don’t really drink energy drinks – maybe when I was younger but also bc of medications I’m on now. I won these so hey, and they do mention being natural so I tried it and it actually didn’t upset my stomach like most energy drinks bc of medication interaction.

I did sip and not guzzle, though. It tastes like coconut water to me, didn’t really taste pineapple, and had a chemical “energy drink” aftertaste that not sure most others would taste bc I have supertaster tastebuds so sometimes ppl tell me they don’t taste the same things I do.

Like glass bottled drinks, I taste the bottling process and others don’t. So take my review as you will since I’m an outlier. but for others like me that are casual drinkers and appreciate it’s not full of harsh chemicals.

Was also even better mixed with juice!.

So typically I don’t leave reviews, but I gotta say this one made me pull out the phone for this. I love zoa, the regular, orange, and blue ones are delicious. But the lemon lime, wow. Now I know why it was on sale because I legitimately thought I was drinking Poison.

I’m very sensitive to energy drinks as I’m a migraine sufferer. Whatever additive they use to flavor this flared my head up something fierce. Do not let this review turn you off to Zoa, but for the love of God.

Please stop making lemon lime. In short, battery acid would have been better, very disappointed.

Greetings! I received my Sample Packets today from PROTEKT. I was excited to try the ‘ENERGY’ first. SO easy to use. simply add the liquid from the packet to 16 ounces of water. The Black Cherry flavor is fresh and tasty.

With all natural ingredients (and the list of ingredients is short!) just made me healthier as I drank it! I was able to keep up all afternoon with my rambunctious 8 year old granddaughter. I can’t wait to try the other 3 packets.

Protekt sent a total of 4 packets to try : Energy (Black Cherry) Immunity (Orange) Hydration (Lemonade) Rest (Mixed Berry) I have recommended Protekt already to my daughter! I’ll try another flavour this one taste like dish detergent honestly it has an horrible after taste. It even foams up in your water bottle. I feel the energy but that after taste is really bad. The other two flavours I ordered are really good, however their not the “energy” drink which is actually what I am after.

I really liked the Energy supplement. Didn’t feel jittery or have a big crash so that was nice. It just felt like one of those days when you’re feeling good and are ambitious and ready to get a lot done.

I only tried the black cherry flavor and I wasn’t a big fan of the taste. It wasn’t horrible, just not great. I’m sure that’s just a preference though. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Will definitely try more flavors!.

Due to health issues I sometimes find myself dehydrated and sick. Sick to the point of not even being able to keep water down. I don’t know what it is about these Grape Powerade Zero drinks but I can sip one and actually keep it in— a huge deal when even water isn’t staying in your system.

They have a good grape flavor- yes, it’s artificial so don’t expect it to be like grapes from the produce section in liquid form. But the flavoring isn’t overpowering and I have found that they’re good to mix with water.

Still have a hint of flavor but even better for you and your wallet. Freeze a half one and add water as you leave the house and you’ve got a delicious cold beverage for hours. Plus 28 ounces of what counts as water.

Had they not changed their bottles from 32 to 28 ounces (with no price decrease, don’t think I didn’t notice! Hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. ) that would be halfway to your minimum recommendation for daily water consumption.

A variety pack that is very affordable and has 3 different varieties in it! I’ll admit, I’ve never had a Powerade drink before buying this but I do plan to buy this more often. The Mountain Berry is my favorite out of this pack.

Usually blue drinks are either too sweet or not sweet enough but this has the perfect balance. My teen loves the fruit punch of course and my significant other is a fan of the grape. So all around there’s something in this pack for everyone.

I was very shocked when I seen how affordable it is as well! 24 good sized bottles and less than $14?!! Okay, I’ll take it!.

This has been my family and my favorite flavor for years and years. It says mountain berry blast and thats sounds gross to me I’m not big on berries except strawberries. When we talk about it and what we think the flavor reminds us of we agree thats is more of a mystery flavor and/or its flavor is just blue.

Blue flavor lol. We always have a bunch of these in the fridge at all times. Its great for us we each have a spot in the fridge that is for each person so there is no getting confused on who’s is where? Since we usually get the larger size 28oz we don’t finish them in one sitting so we out it in fridge and grab a new one and then trade lil later when that one is no longer cold.

I got the Orange Energy Drink in a pouch with the one-week ammo can supply which I’m using as a sampler to try the food out for flavor etc. , which I’m basing the review on; I also have a #10 can of it for emergencies which I expect to be pretty close to the same experience.

At a glance at the directions, I’m not sure “energy drink” is an accurate description – “soft drink” might be more like it, as this resembles very closely the usual popular sugary powdered drinks we all enjoyed as kids.

One pouch makes two quarts, but I only had a one-quart pitcher to work with, and the pouch doesn’t include a scoop, so I sort of “eyeballed” the measurement of a half-pouch. The drink looks and smells good enough – fairly normal for an orange powdered soft drink.

As I preparedit, it does have a sweet, mildly orange flavor, and tasted best chilled. The flavor seems maybe just a tad weak as a first impression, but quickly grew on me – youngsters might prefer a bit more mix and a bit less water the way I made it, but I might have measured poorly, and perhaps the second quart might turn out a bit sweet.

I’m not complaining. Either way, it was enjoyable enough: a powdered soft drink of this sort is probably not a survival necessity, but I can easily see it being a small morale booster as an addition to a long-term emergency food supply: a little treat from time to time to keep spirits up, and to help kids keep their mind off of things through a cold, hard winter, or as a refreshment on a hot summer day.

I’ve a feeling adults would do well to keep a stock of coffee instead, or alongside of this orange drink, and a lot of Americans might quckly start wishing for their favorite carbonated soft drinks instead, but this orange drink isn’t a bad addition to your emergency stores.

I’m a bit surprised I didn’t see MyPatriotSupply carrying a lemon drink of this sort, now that I think of it. My local supermarket does carry some large cans of lemonade of this sort which would be similar enough, though, and I think I’ll restock can of that to store alongside the orange drink.

In fact, where the #10 can is concerned, you might get more value from buying some powdered soft drink mixe packets and sugar at your local grocer or supermarket: they might not be packaged for long-term storage like MyPatriotSupply’s drink mix is, but the price is maybe a little better, and the grocery store version will surely last well enough.

Where MyPatriotSupply’s product really shines, I expect, will be in the packaging of this drink in pouches for MyPatriotSupply’s emerency food kits, to supplement the contents of those kits as drinks.

For that, I’ll give it a 4/5 stars for the pouches, and maybe a bit less for the #10 cans for the lower value compared to comparable bulk products at a grocery.

I’m going to make a general statement about their products, I have tried just about everything, it has not disappointed me yet. A lot of people I know are worried they will not like the taste of freeze dried products but here you won’t have to.

I’m from Louisiana and learned how to cook early in life and have taught myself to get creative when cooking by adding seasoning and other veg’s/meat to the soups to make a very hardy meal. These products are the best I tasted, with the times changing right before us do yourself a favor and stock up now.

You won’t be disappointed.

How easy do you want it? Do you want to be at piece of mind? Just knowing that I have emergency food tucked away for that one time everyone else wishes, is so like taking a deep breath and relaxing. My orders are always, and I mean always correct and delivery is fast.

Don’t be scared or embarrassed of ordering just something small, it’s more than what a lot of others will have. BE THE SMART ONE!.
