An elliptical trainer is a piece of home exercise equipment that simulates the experience of walking or running without the impact on your joints. It’s a low-impact way to get a cardio workout, and it’s also great for toning your legs, butt, and core.

Sole E35 Elliptical with Bluetooth Speakers
Features. Natural running motion provided by whisper quiet drive system. Full body workout thanks to forward and reverse functionality.
Rated as a “Best Buy” by the leading consumer websites and consumer magazines, the E35 is known for its quality and value. Sole paid attention to the details and equipped this elliptical with cushioned/adjustable foot-pedals, a vibrant 7.
5″ LCD display console and a strong, heavy duty frame that provides a smooth and efficient workout. In addition to the challenging workout programs, the E35 also now includes Bluetooth capability. This now allows users the freedom to transfer workout data from their fitness equipment to their smart device.
Users can track their fitness info on the Sole app, or have their data be transferred to other compatible fitness apps.
As always, I did extensive research before buying this elliptical machine. The Sole E35 had great reviews from professionals, elliptical testing websites and users alike. I was excited when I received it and was prepared for a challenge with assembly, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that my wife and I were able to assemble it with relative ease.
The instructions weren’t perfect, but not as bad as I had believed. Upon use I found it very smooth. The app works well with the exception of MET calculation. Most of the product is rugged enough, but the fit is 2nd rate.
When on the machine and comparing the right and left sides, I see how things aren’t a mirror image of the opposite side and the plastic console and water bottle holder is crooked. The speakers are also very poor quality.
They work, but with poor sound quality. The air from the fan is barely noticeable. It seems as it was an afterthought. I’m 5’8″ 150lbs and when going at a faster than 5mph pace, I can feel the machine moving side to side.
I can’t imagine someone larger than me not having stability issues at anything about a moderate pace. What surprised me the most was the small size of this elliptical. I’m used to using the one at the gym and this is nothing like them.
I knew it would be smaller, I just didn’t realize the consequences of that. The most important thing that I wish I had known was that the stride is short and non-adjustable and the flywheel weight is so much less than the gym that it feels like you’re running against the wind all the time.
After about ten 45 minute uses in 2 weeks, the foot platforms began creaking on the downward step. Moving my foot to a different part of the platform helps for a minute or so, then it returns. I’ve tried tightening the bolts underneath, to no avail.
I’ve e-mailed customer service twice and call once and couldn’t get through due to higher than normal call volume. One of the reasons I bought this brand was because of their warranty. Hopefully I never have to use it as I don’t think I could get through to them.
My goal when shopping for an elliptical was to get the best quality machine I could for the most reasonable price. I found again and again when on competitors’ websites that the mechanical specs of their machines — the flywheel weight, the frame material, the pedal ergonomics, etc.
— never seemed to stack up to Sole when in the same price range. I found the e35 to be the best middle ground — I was worried that the e25 didn’t have adjustable pedals, and didn’t think the e95 was worth the extra money for my personal needs.
The 25 pound flywheel makes riding the e35 smooth, and I really am impressed with how quiet the machine is — of course, you have to keep the rollers clean and lubricated to keep it that way. Additionally, the pedal adjustment option is a game-changer for me.
I was previously riding a standing elliptical that caused me constant knee pain throughout the day, and I was pretty worried this meant all ellipticals would be painful. Totally wrong — I keep the e35’s pedals set to be highest in the back so that my heels stay planted on the elliptical each time I run, and it’s been unbelievable.
All of my knee pain is gone. A few couple caveats with this machine. First, the other reviews are correct about assembly. It is a nightmare. My husband is an engineer and it took him all evening to put the machine together.
Look up YouTube videos of how to assemble this elliptical before it gets here and then follow that, not the elliptical’s insane instruction manual, to put it together. Next, I am 5’8″ and bought this machine thinking the 20″ stride length would be enough for me.
95% of the time, it is. It’s just that sometimes if I want a burst of speed, I think it holds me back a little. If you’re used to stretching your legs and lengthening your stride in short bursts on standard gym equipment, you may want to look at the tiers above the e35 in the Sole lineup for an adjustable stride elliptical.
Still though, this rarely ever bothers me and riding this elliptical still feels very natural. Last, as I said before, I was looking for high quality equipment at a reasonable price, so I was fully aware this meant sacrificing a fancy elliptical screen — and that was okay, actually preferable, to me.
Exercise equipment subscription services majorly creep me out and I did not want to pay a premium for that. This Sole e35 has a basic screen that does more than I want an elliptical screen to do — all I want is to be able to see my time, change level, and change in incline.
I leave everything else, the tracking, etc. , to my smartwatch. I tried out the Sole app and Bluetooth feature with my phone, and found it to be more trouble than it was worth. It didn’t crash on me or bug out like some users have reported, but I didn’t like the third party interface and it is just as easy as well as more streamlined to track my workouts on my watch like I’ve always done.
So again, no loss there because I didn’t even want upgraded technology. All in all, I would buy from Sole again — but I am hoping this elliptical will last me a long time. So far, it seems like it will.
It is so great being able to have this machine in my own home and not have to go out to a gym, and I didn’t have to break the bank to get it.
First off, the stride on this machine is fantastic. I also looked at the E25 and that one seemed to have a bit of hitch in the step but the E35 is very smooth and feels like a high end “gym-worthy” machine.
There are a couple issues that I’m having that aren’t that big of a deal, but I feel like should not have been happening on a ~$1500 elliptical. For example, there is no way to program your workout. The preset buttons are all configured to 20 minutes; you can’t systematically make it any longer, or shorter for that matter.
Also, there is no entry for age or weight so the calorie tracker seems almost useless. The heart rate monitors seem to take forever to catch up to your actual rate – almost seems like I need to hold on for a minute to get an accurate view.
Also, not totally related to the quality of the product but I paid extra to have someone else install it. Other reviews mention that it takes a few hours, and the pro they sent took almost 3. So I can only imagine how long I’d have taken! Seems like a few screws needed to be tightened a bit more because the thing was squeaking after only a few uses.
That part was easy enough to fix but the left handlebar has buttons that supposedly operate the incline and they don’t work. I’ve been on hold with Sole for almost 30 minutes trying to talk to some one, and they haven’t responded to an email I sent a few days ago asking about it.
Bottom line, if you want a high quality workout and don’t care too much about all the little details, this is a good machine. If you require excellent support and customer service, you might have some frustration coming your way if you encounter any problems.
The Sole E35 Elliptical comes equipped with a 7. 5″ white LCD display, bluetooth and the 25 lb. flywheel gives the Sole E35 Elliptical a smooth and safe movement so you can feel secure during your workout.
Other features include power incline up to 20 levels and oversize foot pedals for a comfortable at any intensity.
I just purchased my machine today after reading up on several machines and visiting two stores with several different models and brands. I didnt know that spirit made this machine so thats great cause they have an awesome track record.
Kinda heavy but i was able to carry 1-2 pieces at a time from the box and the neighbor helped with the heavy base(hubby was at work) fairly easy to put together. 80-85% assembled already. Display was a little tricky with the short wires but im sure they’re that short for a reason(probably to prevent pinching or tearing them up.
hubby and i got it done in a reasonable amount of time. Ultra smooth quiet ride. No problems when we turned it on. We took our time and it worked out. Was afraid of this process due to this being such a big purchase at $1499 plus one yr protection plan but hey you gotta have faith.
The good ratings out numbered the bad everywhere i looked and I’m glad i went through with this machine. Good luck future buyers. Will update later.
Very happy with our new Sole E35. It is a huge upgrade over the previous elliptical we had. Assembly took some time but wasn’t all that hard. Youtube videos made it even easier. Probably the hardest thing was moving the box.
The listed weight on the box is 282 lbs. Even after opening the box and removing most of the pieces, one was still very heavy (I’d guess 140 lbs) and awkward. But we eventually managed to wrestle it into the room where we wanted it and after that the assembly went smoothly.
Of course, the plus side of that weight is that the unit is very smooth, even on a heavy workout.
Build stamina and blast away the calories with this Bowflex Max Trainer. Compatibility with the Bowflex JRNY coaching app (not included) lets you create customized fitness regimens that automatically intensify over time, while the optimized design and compact size save space.
This Bowflex Max Trainer has an interactive display for intuitive control and navigation.
Previously owned a Bowflex M5 and loved it. Decided to upgrade to the new Max Total 16 and couldn’t be happier. The dedicated screen for streaming shows and virtual coaching sessions really helps to keep workouts going longer versus staring into space with my old M5.
Plus, the built in Bluetooth for connecting wireless earbuds allows me to work out without disrupting the rest of the house. (I am able to keep the MT16 in the living room due to its relatively small footprint for taking up floor space versus a more traditional elliptical or treadmill) Lots of variable resistance levels and different workout modes really allows a good amount of flexibility.
This really makes it easy to get just the right level of effort no matter how I’m feeling that day. I can easily find something that will really get the heart pumping on days when I feeling motivated, and on those days when I’m not feeling particularly excited to work out, but I still want to be active, I can still find something a little less demanding and do while watching a show on Netflix or Hulu.
I also found the “Travel the world” programs to be surprisingly fun and the virtual coaching can be really motivational on those days when I’m just not feeling it but I know I should be pushing myself a little harder that day.
My only real complaint is sometimes my Bluetooth earbuds dont reconnect automatically and require me to unpair and reconnect the earbuds to get them to work again and unfortunately, this can only be done form the main menu.
Not sure if this the failure to connect is an issue with the earbuds, or the Max Trainer, but an easier option to reconnect Bluetooth headphones from inside a workout session, like you can with a Bluetooth heart monitor, would nice.
Hopefully this is something Bowflex could easily fix in the future with a software update. Long story short, I’m very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this device to anyone.
The heaviest, most durable elliptical Sole offers. Originally designed for Light Commercial use, this elliptical offers a large 10. 1″ TFT LCD, the heaviest elliptical flywheel/frame combo and a fit test program that provides users fitness scores based on performance.
The E98 also includes Bluetooth capability. This now allows users the freedom to transfer workout data from their fitness equipment to their smart device. Users can track their fitness info on the Sole app, or have their data be transferred to other compatible fitness apps.
I’m normally a 6 day a week gym enthusiast and have used many different elliptical machines over the years. I bought the E25 at the beginning of the pandemic when the gyms all closed. It takes a few hours to assemble but thankfully the instructions were good.
It performs well, very quiet and has lots of different programs built in with no on line subscription service that you need to buy like other makes. It works as good as or better than gym machines. I program my workout on my iPad and it connects with the machine via Bluetooth using the free Sole app.
The app records the workout and tracks daily, weekly and monthly totals, which is great.
Very pleased with our new cross trainer. Phoned up to get advice beforehand and agree with the store that this is much more solid and smooth-running than our previous machine (Nordic Track light commercial).
Not as many programmes, but then our old one had a lot of ones which were very similar to each other and I tend to create my own HIIT workouts anyway. The only negative I can see is that there are fewer screen display options so it’s harder to monitor your cadence or do efforts for 100 metres etc.
(I’m now going for seconds instead) but I’m comparing it to a machine which had several displays (some of which stopped functioning properly after a couple of years). This feels as robust as any of the cross trainers I’ve used in the gym.
Speedy delivery too – it arrived within a week. My husband put it together and, although it was a painstaking and time-consuming process lasting several hours, it wasn’t difficult to follow the step-by-step instructions provided.
Recently bought this cross trainer for a home gym set up during lockdown. This is a great piece of kit, smooth action, solid construction and well worth every penny. It’s as good as some commercial gym machines.
The only downside and I’d have deducted half a star if I could is the assembly instructions are absolute shocking, so be prepared for quite a bit of head scratching. Saying that I put it together on my own, it’s no doubt easier as a 2 person build.
Make sure where you can you get delivery to a room of your choice, my gym is in a cabin at the end of my garden and down 4 steps, the delivery guys abandoned it half way down the garden and it’s 100kg of equipment to move on your own.
Overall a cracking piece of kit and highly recommend the spend if you want a better than average home gym.
Elliptical trainers are known for effective, full-body workouts. The Schwinn brand is known for excellent quality and value. The 430 puts the two together to bring you a smooth, comfortable workout experience that increases cardio and muscle strength while shedding unwanted pounds.
And with its sleek, streamlined console, the Schwinn 430 makes it easy to track your data and monitor your impressive results. Streamlined Console DualTrack LCD screens offer increased visibility to 22 workout programs, goal tracking and fitness metrics.
Natural Running Motion 20′′ stride with Precision Path foot motion technology simulates a natural running motion. Adjustable Ramp Manually adjustable ramp provides 6 different incline options for challenging workout.
Drive System High speed, high inertia drive system for easy start-up and smooth, quiet workouts.
During the pandemic, fitness equipment has been very scarce to come across. I was happy to be able to find this elliptical from Schwinn. While it might not have all the bells and whistles you may be used to from a commercial gym (and you shouldn’t expect that at this price point), it’s a great home solution.
Setup was very easy and straightforward. I had everything up and running in about 45 minutes and this includes separating all the parts out to make sure everything was there. Everything is labeled nicely to help you know what goes where.
Using it was surprising. It feels very solid and durable while also being fairly quiet in use. Most home equipment I’ve seen below the $1k range tend to be a little squeaky, but I don’t get that from Schwinn.
Being able to adjust incline (has to be done manually before you step on however) and enough resistance levels to very quickly feel the difficulty increase. Being able to connect your phone/tablet to the AUX port and use the built in speakers to play movies, music, podcasts out of is great.
A water bottle holder is also included as well as two digital displays in the event your phone or tablet obstructs your view from the first screen in the tray. two inner handles have HR sensors on them.
They seem to be about as accurate as any other grip sensor like this (only a chest monitor delivers the best accuracy in my opinion). One negative to the inner handles is that I feel your arms are close to the outer, moving handles grips.
I found myself needing to make sure I kept my elbows tucked to make sure I didn’t get rubbed by the outer handles. I have broader shoulders, so this could be a factor in that as well. Another thing I have found to be inaccurate is the calorie counter.
This appears to be a pretty normal complain about the 430 around the internet as well. While cardio equipment is never 100% accurate, you usually get close enough. For example, at my normal gym, an intense 30 minute session on a more professional Cybex machine might say I’ve burned 500+ calories.
The Schwinn 430, with the same intensity, might say I’ve managed a little over 200. While those two models are very different in all ways but form and function, I know how my body feels after my workouts, so having the same feeling and seeing less caloric burn could be a let down for some people not understanding this inaccuracy.
Overall, this a great elliptical for home use. Whether you need something because going into your commercial gym isn’t possible (especially during COVID, but missing the gym happened before this too) or you just want to make a life change, but prefer to do so away from others, this is definitely worth a look.
This was our first large piece of home gym equipment. The elliptical machine is a decent starter if you’re considering getting something like this for home. The programs are pretty limited, but the resistance is surprisingly tough, even at the lower levels.
I was concerned when earlier reviews mentioned the squeaking and noise, but I assumed that happened after years of use. Ours started loudly squeaking within a week or so of buying it. The only thing we’ve found that can stop it is WD-40.
When the parts are lubricated, it’s pretty quiet, probably as quiet as these things can reasonably be. If I were buying again, I would probably look for something similarly priced but with a better brand or history.
This elliptical is extremely solid. I had previously purchased a cheap elliptical – and I got what I paid for in a flimsy machine that rocked as I used it. This one is very stable, does not shake at all in use, and is very quiet.
Absolutely no issues with the overall ruggedness – top notch! Additionally, setup was actually very straight-forward. The only two issues are: (1) the calculation of mileage and calories is extremely inaccurate (this is not that important to me, so not really much of an issue), and (2) I find this elliptical, even at its lowest resistance setting, actually too challenging.
Slip the compact Cubii under your desk and help yourself remain active, even while seated. This elliptical machine is a cinch to assemble, and tracks your strides, calories burned, time, distance, and RPM.
Two wheel stoppers help prevent your office chair from shifting while you pedal. Includes Cubii elliptical trainer with display, button-cell battery, two chair wheel stoppers, assembly hardware, and screwdriver.
Eight resistance levels, Display monitor tracks number of strides, calories burned, time, distance, and RPM, Compact design, Use only while seated; do not stand on Cubii. Measures 17-1/2 W x 23 D x 9-3/4 H; weighs 27 lbs, 12 oz, 6-month Limited Manufacturers Warranty.
Cubii got only 4 stars because the charger device is terrible. I have to use my phone charger to get Baby Cubii charged. Seems the adapter leaves a lot of room for improvement. The USB will not fit in the adapter, no matter how hard you try.
When I hoped it would connect with the USB only half way in. NOT. it would not get a charge. So I used my phone adapter & Baby Cubii charged like it was supposed to. Oh btw, I tried charging my phone using the Cubii adapter; my phone would have taken over 7 hours to charge instead of the usual 1 or 2 hours.
Tells me the Cubii charging adapter is a POS. Other than problems getting Baby Cubii Jr charged, the equipment is fantastic! I love it & look forward to it helping me recover from my fractured hip. And, her name is Baby Cubii.
Nice smooth, small movement. Bought for my mom, 87, who has difficulty walking distances due to arthritis—she is LOVING it. Said it just takes her away pedaling! Her first time on it, she did 7 minutes! It was recommended from another friend’s mom, of the same age group, who loved it as well.
A third friend, who is 28, is going to make a purchase, as she works at a desk on the computer all day and wanted to get some circulation into her legs. Honestly, it’s wonderful for that. Great invention.
There is a reason for it’s popularity. Assembly is simple: 4 screws. It is heavy and you have to rotate it on its side to assemble, so figure that into your set up. It’s a new lease on life for those who can’t get outside or those who just want to do something healthy for themselves! Very pleased with this purchase.

I am 49 and my go-to exercise routine for the past 30 years was running and going to the gym. Two years ago, I got burnt out on running and with the demands of family and work, it was difficult getting to the gym.
I first saw the Teeter LT3 on a shopping channel in Dec 2020. I was intrigued. I researched it by reading reviews and watching videos on YouTube, and decided to purchase the LT3 in Dec 2021. I am so glad I did.
My main concern was that it might not be as good of a workout since it seemed to be designed with people with joint issues or surgeries in mind, but that is not the case. Thanks to my Samsung exercise app, I compared my Teeter workouts with past workouts at the gym, including both the elliptical and the exercise bike.
I burn more calories using the Teeter than either or those for the same period of time. Customer service was excellent too. The Teeter LT3 was delivered with a week of ordering it (from Washington state to Tennessee), even during peak holiday ordering time and supply chain issues.
The seat was minimally damaged during shipping (a small crack in the cushioning), and I contacted customer service via email over the weekend after receiving it, and a new seat was shipped and received with 3 days.
I am glad I spent a little more to get the LT3 for the upgrades. I’ve not used the LT1, but the upgrades are worth it to me. It is a quality machine. Before purchasing the LT3, I did look at exercise bikes and ellipticals in local stores and they were not of the quality of the LT3.
I love the convenience of being able to work out in my home and watch what I want while I do it. The Teeter really is as silent as they say, and it is also a great investment because I know it will be equipment I can use for years to come even if I one day do develop joint issues or surgeries.
Who uses it? Both me, 80 year old male with bad knees and bad shoulders 94 year old mother-in-law with hip replacement. Packaging: Well organized but outer box could be heavier. No way to reuse it if you want to return it.
Tetter said they would send a new box if I wanted to ship it back. Items were well identified and labeled. Assembly: Forget about using the included tool, unless you want to make it a lifetime project.
I used an electric impact driver and a small offset Philips ratchet which made it easy. A hand ratchet with hex driver is minimum. All parts fit reasonably well and instructions were very good. About one hour assembly time.
(I saw one review that stated things didn’t fit well, but also said his box was damaged. Probable got dropped and bent a bit) Quality: Very good. I’m impressed with how sturdy this thing is. Well made.
Operation: Very smooth and consistent. No noise. Resistance setting is nonlinear, I. e. , increases faster the higher you go. The seat extends a bit too far under your legs and rubs a bit. The hand bar adjustments are a bit of a pain, but manageable.
the readout is okay, but you need to memorize the segments, as their labels are tiny. Use: 94 year old uses it 3 times a day. calls it her bicycle. loves it. Me; going slow so as not to irritate my shoulders.
but so far so good. stay tuned. Bottom line: Very happy and highly recommend it! :o].
The Stamina InMotion Elliptical Trainer offers a challenging lower-body workout with little stress on joints. This portable machine features an adjustable tension knob to control your workout intensity sturdy traction-grip foot pedals for forward and reverse direction and a multifunction electronic fitness display to monitor performance.
Compact steel design stores easily. Uses one button cell battery (included). 24 lbs. Supports up to 250 lbs. Approx. 24 1/2L x 17W x 12H.
I’ve had my E1000 for several years and ride it 50-80 miles/week. (Usually I stand at my computer while I ride, but I also put it under the table and ride during Zoom meetings. ) It has allowed me to keep my weight down and stay in shape year round.
Over the years, I’ve given it a few drops of oil maybe three times, and twice I’ve applied car wax to the plate twice. I replaced the wheels after 2-3 years and have just ordered another set. Both times, the customer service rep was outstanding.
(Thank you, Trisha. ) In order to keep the plate free of grit, I give it a quick wipe before my morning ride and cover it if I’m going to be away for a few days. Love, love, love this machine and highly recommend it and the company.
Really excited to get this. We mostly use it under our standing desks while we’re both working from home right now. It is harder to use it on the couch (backward) because this model doesn’t have the extra angled foot piece, but it is still possible and works well for a workout.
About 300 cals an hour. The issue is, after minimal use over the last month or so (didn’t work much over the holidays so it wasn’t used that much. ) It has started making a very sketchy clunking noise inside the housing.
So time will tell if it holds up, but I know BJ’s will honor the warranty. Just keep in mind you may want the extended warranty, and it can be tough to use while sitting down, but just put it backward and lower the resistance a little bit.
Otherwise, it’s a good investment for working out that fits in small spaces and isn’t a huge investment of money either. Great for winter days where walking outside is tough with the windchill.
Game changer! I figured that something extra was needed to level up my fitness, as local gyms remain closed for the foreseeable future. I have a decent set of workout gear for the home, but my office equipment was in need of an upgrade.
After adding this little quiet, calorie-killing leg-burner (yes, you will definitely feel it!) under my desk, I’m seeing faster weight loss. Doing 4x 5-minute sprints (5-days a week) with this elliptical, and my home equipment has helped me burn about 8 lbs.
in 10 days! No miracles here. Start with cleaning up your nutrition, get some equipment, and get going! I would have paid twice as much for these quick results.
The E3 cross-trainer has added features that keep workouts interesting and motivating. It’s an exciting home cardio option for exercisers of all fitness levels looking for an effective low-impact, total-body workout.
I have owned 2 cross trainers in the past ( both Nordictrack ) and let me tell you that they don’t even come close to build quality of the Life Fitness X1 !! The engineering of this cross trainer is second to none and it gives you a very natural movement while being whisper quiet.
It is a large machine at 206cm in length but if you have the room for it I would advise this all day long over anything else at this price point. This cost me an extra £600 over what I orginally wanted to spend but when it comes to buying fitness equipment there is no substitue for a brand that is renowned for their quality.
Very poor build quality with lots of knocking in the joints during operation. After 2 service visits and no resolution to the knocking, LifeFitness offered to replace the entire X1 with a brand new unit.
This also made a knocking sound and after 3 weeks is now way worse than the first one. I suspect very poor quality (cheap) bearings are being used and/or incorrect assembly in the factory. NOT acceptable at all on a machine costing > £1500.
As an additional point, be aware when buying that the GO console ONLY has 2 configurable profiles – cheap.
Fabulous machine. Still new so only used it on manual settings a few times so far. Very sturdy and exceptionally quiet. Suitable for myself and husband. The machine is long and you do need space. The mechanism gives the stride of running but without the impact.
Well worth the price and it does feel like the quality you would use in a commercial gym. Lee at the Northampton branch was very helpful with my telephone queries.
The E1 cross-trainer offers an effective low-impact, total-body workout for home exercisers of all fitness levels. Years of Life Fitness innovation and research have resulted in an inviting cross-trainer that combines a comfortable, natural feel with outstanding durability and quiet operation.
I have to say I do use Elliptical trainers or cross trainers quite a lot and in many different gyms. I bought this from the Northampton branch and Lewis there was excellent throughout and so was the lady that sorted out delivery etc.
I was looking at a slightly more expensive machine, but I was recommended to try this one and it is brilliant. Really is smooth to use and there really isn’t too much pressure on the joints as you use it, but the work out is awesome.
I’m 35 and one of my knees isn’t great from too much football, but this is excellent. When you push really hard there is no lag and the machine keeps going. It is worth the money. Tip I would give is take the additional years warranty, not sure you’d need it as it is bulletproof, but assemble it yourself.
There are 7 stages to putting it together and Life Fitness separate all the nuts and bolts into handy packs for each stage. Really made it quite fun to put together. I can’t recommend it enough.

We have been using this machine for a few weeks now and I really do enjoy it. Compared to other brands, I find this one to be very solid. It does not wobble when I work out, even during high-intensity stints.
Easy to assemble, it has a smaller footprint than a typical elliptical machine (it’s more vertical). I feel like this machine is a mix between an elliptical and a stair climber. In any case, it provides a very good workout.
I really like the large analog dial showing the rate of your workout. Around that dial, there are LEDs that show you what your current targets are. Very easy to read and understand. The machine also work with JRNY, their online software you can use on your phone (Bluetooth).
The features in the app (subscription required after the first year) are great. It provides music, motivational coach, and the ability to travel around the world while you workout. The only hiccup I had with this machine/JRNY, is the stability of the connectivity.
On occasion, the app will crash, causing your workout to fail. This has happened on multiple devices here. However, the app is NOT the machine, and it can be improved over time. Overall, very satisfied, and would not hesitate to recommend it.
There were a lot of things to like about the Bowflex M6 trainer. The trainer is sturdy, so it can take weights up to 300kg, it is compact so it doesn’t take up much room, and it has pre-programmed workouts that last about 15 minutes which are do-able every day.
I liked the different programmed workout options, that I could add up to two people’s workout stats, and the multiple resistance levels. There were a few frustrations though. The building instructions could use some work.
There are times when you’re not sure which part they are referring to and you definitely need at least two hands to assemble in places. The careful use of an automatic drill will greatly speed up assembly.
There is an app that you can download and use to customize workouts, but some aspects of that app require you to pay a fee. Ultimately, I really like this piece of equipment. It’s easy workouts have me motivated to get up and exercise, which is what you want exercise equipment to do.
This is a fantastic machine! I find the ease of use great! My teenagers use it at there levels of fitness which is high compared to myself and my husband. The ability for all 4 of us to be able to utilize this product and all receive the great workout is just what we are looking for! The design is great slim once st up not bulky at all.
The convenience I can not say enough about! To just use this anytime of the day or night is perfect for all our schedules. Being a shift worker this works fantastic day or usually night! Being a larger person I love the fact that I do not have to have judgements glanced my way, there is no need to be self conscious or concerned with what other people think while I am trying to become healthier and make fitness part of my routine.
I am so great full and appreciate the opportunity to test this product. 100% recommendations given!.

The treadmill arrived at the scheduled time in a huge heavy box, so decide where you need it before the John Lewis delivery men depart. You do need a Stanley knife to cut it out of its box. It is very easy to assemble on your own, just needs the transit bars swapping with the feet, just 4 bolts involved.
On using it for the first time, I could barely move it as the resistance was set so high even at the lowest setting. With the help of a youtube video I removed one of the arms and took the side off and slackened off the cable which was wound up far too high the magnet brake.
After reassembly it worked well and felt like a commercial cross trainer as found in a gym. The display is poor and although it comes with a lot of different workouts its difficult to find out what they are, you need to contact NordicTrack for an explanation.
It also comes with the option to use it with your iPad and the ifit app which connects by Bluetooth and then increases and decreases the resistance and slope of the cross trainer automatically. This works well but the ifit app is no Peleton app and is very poor, difficult to navigate and the instructors have limited vocabulary and are not motivational at all.
Unfortunately you cannot get a bluetooth connection to other fitness apps on your tablet. If you can afford it, try the next model up SE9i, which has a built in screen, I would think it would give a better work out experience.
Its big advantage, if like me, you have limited space, is the ability to easily fold it up into a small item measuring 58L x 80W x 193H where it can be easily pushed around into a corner out of the way.
Overall a good solid cross trainer, with the feel of a commercial cross trainer, but let down a little by the display and ifit app, but excellent value for money.
I use this elliptical about 5 to 6 times weekly for 30 minute intervals. I’ve owned it for 5 years. The resistance controls as well as the incline controls have worked flawlessly. I don’t trust the heart rate monitor or calorie burn indicator so that’s not factored into this bad review.
My problem is despite lubing and maintaining this unit. It will develop annoying loud squeaks within weeks of disassembling the unit and performing this. Over the course of 5 years I must have done this about 20 times.
Since I watch videos while using this machine the squeak is disturbing. I now have to use headphones, which I hate wearing excercising, while using it. I no longer waste anymore time greasing this unit.
I have owned other exercise equipment that when properly maintained never squeaked as this unit does. Avoid this unit if you plan to use it regularly. Any well built unit, property maintained, shouldn’t perform like this especially for the price!.
Arrived on time. Easy to construct – took about 10 minutes. This is a high quality product and I am really pleased with it. I’ve been using it almost daily since it arrived. Running was bad for my knees but this cross trainer is enabling me to get some exercise without any knee joint pain that I suffered from after a run.
It’s bigger than I thought but that is not a problem. This cross trainer is gym standard equipment without breaking the bank. There are 24 pre-set training programs plus a manual setting. Resistance control.
Incline control. The built in fan is great as well. I would recommend this cross trainer for anyone who is serious about losing weight and increasing heir fitness level.

Strong Frame – The SOLE Elliptical uses heavy thick ste.
Its really nice to use. Good workout. I would say that the instructions on how to put together was confusing I ended up using a youtubers guide on the e35 model to be able to navigate around the e25.
Took 1. 5 days to put together but I got there and I am happy with it. The 20 inch stride is very important, I cant go as far as I could with gym cross trainers but its far enough to give me a good workout.
Im 5’4 F around 80kg/13st and my partner is 5’8 M around 90kg/14st and we both can feel the workout. The fan is unnecessary. There is aux cable outlet, so you will need your own cable to listen to music through the ellipticals speakers.
Its good, sturdy and does the job. So I am not disappointed.
This is an expensive machine, but you do get quality. This sole trainer was bought as a replacement to an old and not very good cross trainer. I hated the old one because it was jerky, manual resistance, and felt like a home quality machine.
The Sole E95 is just the opposite. As smooth and strong as any I’ve used in a ‘professional’ gym, and silent too. Everything about it screams quality. I was also worried about not having enough levels, but the resistance is plenty for me when I’m only half way up the available levels, so I have no doubt that even in many months to come with even better fitness there will be plenty left.
As a bonus it came with a heart rate monitor so you can choose either the ones built in on the handles or the strap. Not so good: yes the fan is useless, but I didn’t decide on the E95 based on accessories.
Its a gimmick, and therefore of little consequence to me. It was also quite complex to assemble. I debated buying cheaper, but I have no regrets about spending the extra to buy the E95.

38″L x 27″W x 60″H Assembly required Consult your physician before starting any exercise program.
I was able to assemble it without too much trouble. But now that I’m using it, it feels cramped and uncomfortable, like I’m trying to ride a child’s bicycle standing up. I’m not a big guy. I think the problem is that the stride length for this machine is just 11 inches, well below what is comfortable for most adults.
Maybe that’s just the price of compactness, but I posit that any piece of exercise equipment that isn’t enjoyable to use risks not being used at all. Making the stride adjustable—or selling alternative parts—would go a long way toward improving the experience.
I spent hours putting together which I was expecting but when I got on it I could Barry get it to move. I checked the manual and had to remove cover off and adjust a bolt controlling the magnets. I put it back together and still so tight that a couple of minutes was all I could satay on it.
Took it back apart and adjusted as much as it would go and it’s better. The distance meter shows I’ve gone a half mile in 5 minutes and I can promise you I’m not in that kind of shape. So I’ve got up to a mile but that all I want.
Oh and the tension knobs was set on lowest setting when I put it together. Any advise would be appreciated.
This machine is fairly easy to put together; However, it is very unstable and wobbly. I use mine in my bedroom on carpet and that seems to help control that a lot more. When putting this together, one of the large black bolts on the left side is a reverse threaded bolt meaning you’ll have to screw it in to the left instead of the right.
When connecting the tension belt at the bottom, you’ll need another persons help to pull it into the required position. The tension knob is quite hard to increase the resistance on and the elliptical does feel very much like a step machine compared to a fluent and smooth walk or jog.
I didn’t pay much for this machine after a couple of discounts but aside from all of that, I’m okay with the workout I’ve been getting on it. I would recommend that if you’re looking to seriously workout and get in shape, that you consider purchasing a better quality machine.

I’ve had my Sunny Elliptical for two weeks, and I love it! I was able to do the assembly methodically in a timely manner and was pleased with that accomplishment (I’m a small “senior” female)! Instructions are clear and all necessary tools are included.
The machine is very quiet—a very important feature to me. My workouts are as intense as I need them to be with easy adjustment of the tension. Just can’t say enough good things about this elliptical.
Very difficult to set up. Very bad customer service. Last person I talked to tried to help but the first 2 couldn’t help at all–just asked for photos and videos. Than sent photos and didn’t hear from anyone.
The lowest tension is not low enough for me, and I’ve used ellipticals before. I should not have bought this.
You stress to keep the box it comes in for 30 days. The elliptical was packed great but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get the elliptical out without destroying the box. If you want people to return any damaged product in the original box, you should use a sturdier box for shipment.

I received my Bowflex M9 max trainer two weeks ago. Everything started out great, loved the JRNY experience with the coaching, around the world and music. Very soon after however I started having technical difficulties with the console.
I had a new one sent out and still same problems. I am figuring it must be an internet problem to a certain degree, I have normal internet, nothing crazy no streaming or gaming in my house and not that many devices.
The console will freeze over and over sometimes it is okay and sometimes not. I have moved the machine closer to the router etc. I even bought a wifi extender/booster but haven’t been able to try it because the console is stuck with an error code.
I am disappointed in the lack of conveying how truly important the internet connection is. For the future I would expect a company as prominent as Bowflex to disclose how important that is for full functionality of the machine.
A generic must have wifi connection is not enough to convey that. At this point I have two tickets in with JRNY from last Wednesday and Thursday and have not heard back. Nautilus themselves have been helpful but I am still waiting to hear back on what needs to happen to go forward using my machine seeing at this point since 4 days ago it is stuck, will not update and shows error codes.
I had read a few people did have problems but not many I thought “oh it won’t happen to me” boy was I wrong. I am hoping this is a console issue seeing as not everyone on the reviews have mentioned these same problems.
I am in love with this machine and I do desperately want it to work! That would make me the absolute happiest even after all these problems ! Hoping I hear back soon. #sweepstakes. :-).
