20 Best Double Under Jump Rope (2023 Updated)

What a waste of money. I am a CPT since 1994. I use speed ropes regularly with my own work outs as well as my clients. 1. Adjustment on the rope slips, no matter how tight you screw the screws. 2. Adjustment is on the side of the handle, rather than streamlined with the handle to the rope, making it virtually impossible to do lengthy jumps.

I have two of these jump ropes. One works great, the other one keeps falling apart. The one that works is great. I can’t use the other one as the bolt fell of when I was jumping. Tried putting it back together multiple times and ended loosing the parts.

Handles are very soft to the touch & you still have a firm grip. The rope itself is very thin & agile to maneuver so you can quickly pick up speed. Haven’t jumped rope since I was 10! I’m 65 now & feeling like a little girl.

Going to order more ropes as I put my mini gym together.

Skipping ropes are a great exercise tool. Many types out there that feel and handle differently. It really comes down to you trying lots and then settling on your preference. For me this is the one why, it just feels right and have clocked up many hours already whilst warming up at a martial arts gym.

If new start slow and then work your way up to speed skipping 🙂 no need to rush, it will come.

Although these look good , they do not perform that well. The swivel action is slow and because the swivel mechanism is set at 90 degrees to the handle, it is very unforgiving if the handles are not held parallel to the ground, which is almost impossible for a beginner to achieve.

In time the product might become easier to use, but for a beginner these are too awkward to use. The review above still stands,however I would give Steve a 5 star review for his customer care. He sent out a replacement new model skipping rope.

I have been using this jump rope for the past 1 week and it is already worn out on the lower side where it brushes the floor. The handles also squeeks when jumping and it does not feel fluid and often get stuck.

I love this weighted jump rope. It isn’t too heavy to make it uncomfortable but it still weighs enough that even though you are having fun, you know you’re getting a good workout in at the same time.

I would recommend 10/10! Oh, and five below has some!.

I was quite excited to receive this jump rope since the price was good and the handles incorporate a swivel action. The problem with many “weighted rope section” jump ropes is the strain on the wrist because the rope pulls on them.

My first reaction in opening this product was wow, it’s big (circumference). I could only imagine how big the heavier jump ropes are. I noticed the handles did not have any weight to them. This is essential not to increase the challenge but for the rotation of a rope/band that is, itself, weighted.

The swivel handle aspect was the primary reason for my purchase, the price helped as well. To the product’s defense, it did have good swivel capability but without some weight within the handles, it actually caused just as much strain as handles without swivel rotation.

I an neither happy or upset with this purchase. I will however continue to search for other brands before purchasing their other ropes.

Great product, very practical, strong and resistant through the test of time ; used by me almost every day it’s a decent but low key pricey product. Still would meet and surpass your expectations

I never thought investing in a different type of jump rope would differentiate the performance I had. But man, this rope is just so comfortable in the hands so lightweight and don’t get me started on these bearings, This speed rope just improves my performance and makes life so much easier haha! I love this rope and so glad I purchased it.

My first place to go to get gear is always Synergee! Even through all the worldly chaos, I ordered and received my rope within 4 days! I love how it’s customizable with two different cables and lots of extra pieces like end caps and the clamps.

It even comes with a storage/carrying bag! The rope itself is super smooth and fast, the handles are extremely light, and it makes double unders a lot more comfortable than with the old rope I used. The spin is amazing and for the price, I would recommend this rope to anyone and everyone who needs a quality jump rope.

Loving this jump rope so far! It’s good that they give you two cables, I found that the suggested lengths aren’t accurate. I cut one cable too short, so I’m happy there was a second. Test the length first before cutting.

Otherwise very happy with the quality and smooth twisting action on the handles.

I was tired of using the old kinked and knotted speed rope hanging from the wall. They kept falling apart mid workout and I felt they were a major factor limiting me in achieving my desired goals for double unders.

My max unbroken reps were about 30. I’ve been doing Crossfit for just 6 months now. It was time to upgrade. I’ve now used it in six different workouts now and daily for the last few weeks to warm up.

My dubs unbroken are now about 50 reps and the only limiting factor in workouts is now my cardio. The rope is perfect, light and fast! The handles are key to upping the rep count as I feel as they are longer and have a slightly wider base.

This allows a better wrist turn so I am never waiting on the cable to make it all the way around. The cable regardless of how I treat it seems completely resistant to kinks and I was able to experiment with it to find the perfect length for me.

The screws fasten tight and don’t seem to loosen up. I am very happy with this rope and have already.

I was using the busted and banged up ropes at my box, and thought, if I really wanted to improve on my DUs, I’d need to practice. I first bought a lesser rope from another company and it fell apart the first time I used it.

Very frustrating. I “invested” in this better speed rope, and boy, am I happy that I did, and kinda mad I didn’t get this one first. It is an excellent speed rope. I’ve used many different ropes when I drop in to other boxes as well, and I really do love this one.

I haven’t gotten my DUs down, but I see improvement, and know that I will get them eventually. The customer service here is excellent. Fast, prompt delivery. Their Facebook page also gives tidbits that I enjoy reading.

Garbage. Cheap hollow plastic handles screwed to a light, thin metal cable. You better have a tool kit because you’re going to need one to size and cut the wire. I’ve spent more time trying to adjust this thing than using it.

The cable is so thin and light that your arms work twice as hard as your lower body just to turn the rope. Then…. BAM whipped in the arms, legs, wherever. Looking for extreme frustration and pain? This is the product for you.

The process for adjusting the jump rope may seem easy until you realize the amount of tools you need. In order to adjust the jump rope you need to unscrew metal screws at the top. They’re the types of screws that can only be fixed with your fingers.

I now cut my fingers and have blisters all over because of the process of unscrewing the screws. No matter how much protection or padding you use for your fingers it is impossible to unscrew these. God knows if i’ll ever use this product.

Nice snap to this ring, it has a square profile and black-oxide finish. I used mine with Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub with coaster brake, and it might also fit a vintage Bendix hub (red-band). I also recommend the Shimano Nexus 23-tooth cog sprocket for easier pedaling; (Sturmey Archer also makes a 24T cog).

You’re able to go real fast with it, but every time I go until failure (which means I end up failing at the end) the grip always ends up in the middle because the rope hit my shoes. Nothing is holding rope to the grip in place going inwards.

There is something preventing the grip from going outwards of course but it should accomplish both at the same time. So annoying readjust it every time it hits something, but it is a speed jump rope indeed I am not a pro, (I was able to get a triple loop with this many times).

If you have a very high level and you never hit something then this is for you. Or else, not recommended.

Extra plastic ring protection at the front end is a great one to avoid damage to rope!

need to do a special tighten the screw for the rope. it like loose a bit if u screw it. but if u tighten it not very safety.

I got a gym rope from tesco for £6 and found it really difficult to skip for very long as the rope got twisted and tangled. I also had to jump high just to clear the rope. I couldn’t believe the difference with this jump rope, the handles are comfortable to grip.

I was amazed because you can spin the handles spin like figet spinners!! This lets the rope rotate over me Without becoming tangled or twisted. I am a beginner so I’m going to treat myself to the beaded rope as DopeRopes advise is that a heavier rope can help a beginner get used to jump rope first as you can feel the rope more and learn good form.

I still believe this is a great first rope and I’m glad I found it and highly advise anyone looking to start jump rope to get this one!.

I tend to throw my jumprope down in Crossfit and the steel handles on this rope are indestructible. I like them better than the plastic handles I had on a previous rope. The rope is really smooth. I still have to work on my double-unders however!.

Arrived quickly and is an excellent rope. Having skipped in the past this rope has been perfect for exercise motivation.

I love it ,it is ahigh quality rope that allows you to do anything from speed jumping to freestyle jumping (crosses etc. ) It accepts many widths of cables which beginners through advanced jumpers can use.

It comes with our Outdoor Cable which is made for use on concrete. By the way, look at investing in a jump rope mat to protect your body from jumping on concrete. Good job. keep it going. Thank You!.

I love this jump rope! I always do 15 minutes of non-stop jump roping at the end of my workouts and this is the jump rope that I use. It is a bit too long for me, but I don’t mind because I can just roll it up.

I’ve had it for a while now and it’s in okay shape. When I jump rope I go really fast and I use it on the sidewalk so the bottom of it is kind of worn out. It’s still useable, but it’s just something that I noticed.

Classic can’t get enough. I love how small the handles are and I prefer this over a fabric rope. I never had one snap and I totally encourage everyone to jump rope as it is a good fitness method to put in your routine.

I am not impressed this rope yet. The length is adjustable. It will take awhile for the kinks in the rope to work out. maybe a hot car or a hairdryer. A heavier cord would be good. It has to be used indoors.

The lower piece of the handle screws off. Push the cord through the end and pull on the black stopper bottom. It will slide off. Cut to preferred length.

Honestly I don’t like this item. After I opened the box and saw it I put it back in and it’s been sitting there since the day of the purchase. Had it been possible to open the box and check the quality I wouldn’t spend money on that jump rope.

To my amazement a friend of mine bought the same item and is disappointed. It was not what she was expecting. Target used to have a very good brand which cost way much less but whose quality brought so much satisfaction.

I went to purchase another only because I lost it during my last trip to Europe. Will spend time online looking for the same thing or something close to it until I find it.

I have had this rope for 4 years and it just snapped yesterday. I added a 1lb weight in each handle. I used it during every work out which was/is 5 times/week. I am very pleased with its durability, ease of use, and the amount of time it lasted.

Will be replacing it today with the same rope.

There are more expensive jump ropes out there like the cross rope. But not everyone can afford to commit that amount of money to a jump rope. The JE Flex jumprope combines some nice design features with a very accessible price.

This rope has knurled metal handles that allow for improved grip and durability. The PVC coated cable seems pretty standard. But the best feature for me are the rotating ball bearings at the tip of the handles that the rope is looped through and the additional rotation of the handles.

I am not great at jumping but I have owned a few different ropes. This rope has made me a little more confident. I feel like the handles offer more feedback and thus allow me to time my jumps a little better and get into a rhythm.

My minor quible is that the handles could stand to be slightly thicker due to my hand size. But its not a deal breaker. I definitely recommend this rope for people who are looking for a fun cardio option especially with most gyms being closed.

If you have free space in your yard or house, its a good piece of affordable equipment.

This is a really cool jump rope the handles are aluminum and are checkered for grip. Theyre just a bit to skinny for me I wish they were thicker. And I wish the wire had locks on both sides of the handle so it doesnt slide up in down when just moving jump rope around of it dropped.

So for that reason Im only giving a 4 star review but other than that this is a really good jump romp and will last a long time.

Im used to change my jump rope at least twice a year cuz the rope isnt a good quality n I thought that this wouldnt be different so I wasnt sure to buy it. but its have really good quality. they have a magnificent rotation in the handles, it isnt too heavy the handles have the proper weight and width and is only 9.

Overall a great speed rope for a very competitive and reasonable price. adjustable length on the rope using a fastener. If you don’t like the rope sliding down the other way like I do I just went to a local hardware store, bought two more fasteners and slid them on the other side of the handles, works great.

A wonderful addition to a home gym looking to add some variety for cardio or a extra piece of a CF circuit.

I use this jump rope outside on the concrete. Every other jump rope I used broke buy now. The only down side is that if it hits me it hurts a a lot more than other ones. But no pain no gain!

I used it literally 3 times and one of the screw parts on one of the handles already went flying off somewhere while I was jumó roping and now I don’t have the locking screw on one side 🙁

Hello! I’ve had this rope for a few weeks and wanted to share my thoughts for anyone that is on the fence on owning a pair. -These are not trickster friendly. The standard rope that this set consists of is ideally for as many double under that you can manage.

This is not criss cross friendly nor something you should practice trick style movements with. By definition as described in the product details, this product is ideally for intense cardio speed roping with minimal tricks and concentration in speed.

-With that said, the rope balance seems to focus on caloric burn and not “look what I can do” trickster rope. The given material does not do well with concrete or any abrasive surface material. Stick to matte flooring or any surfaces that are more forgiving to wired ropes.

-The ball bearings and engineering in the handles is unique and is a huge positive for this pair. They allow for replacement cables which proves invaulable over time but in addition have a mechanic that optimizes speed and rhythm.

I never give reviews but thanks to customer service from Rogue Fitness I am now. I’m going to assume all the positive reviews are paid or from people wanting to get something out of complimenting Rogue Fitness.

I am not into CrossFit nor am I considered an athlete, that being said I got this as a gift and it lasted a month and a half before the rope(cable) split in half at a use of 5 min a day, 5 to 6 days a week on a smooth garage floor.

Customer service was fine with that and just said I would need to buy a new. I would’ve been ok with, must’ve been from a bad batch, we’ll ship you out a newone, but no such thing was said. So I’ll assume this is the high quality they instill in all of their products so I won’t be buying or recommending anything from Rogue Fitness and I would recommend anyone reading this to do the same.

I love these so much, a bit of weight that you won’t feel much difference but the longer you use it and then go back to regular unweighted skipping ropes you could tell the difference. The only thing I dislike about the product is that it will unscrew itself if you don’t pay attention to it for a while that you will need to screw it tight back up again.

Other than that very nice product!.

I’m trying to keep cardio interesting and this is exactly what I was looking for as a starter rope! Great quality licorice style rope with comfortable handles. The length is perfect for me (I’m 5’7) though if you need to adjust it you can unscrew the ends and refasten inside the handles to secure a shorter length.

Can’t find any cons about it. Buy one!.

I am a first-time jump roper and this skipping rope has been amazing so far. Really lightweight and good for trying to learn how to increase speed. A few painful whips here and there, but I’m sure that happens with all ropes! Only downfall is that if you’re wanting to adjust it, you can’t.

But, I’m around 5ft 5 and it fit me just fine.

New to the jump rope world and excited to give this one a try! My rope arrived today, early and ahead of schedule. (I’m in the US and shipping has been so fast for both of my orders!) I can already tell that the weight and structure of the rope is going to make this one of my favorite ropes yet! I’m tall and love that this rope is long and fully adjustable.

These are the best quality PVC ropes I can find, I’ve bought so many PVC jump ropes now through online outlets where they might be cheaper but they don’t give a good jump rope experience. These ropes you can fold up and they don’t kink.

A lot of ropes you buy, you unwrap them you can’t get rid of the kinks, or the weight of the rope is wrong it’s too light, or they feel too hard, or they wear out quickly. These are the Dope rope cord, they feel soft but they don’t wear out so much, they have the perfect weight so you can feel the rope when rotating because a lot of others feel too light so that it is more difficult to manoeuvre the rope around when switching from side swings to cross overs for example, this rope it doesn’t have this problem so better for rope tricks to vary your workout.

I actually use the original jump rope with the handles usually on my practice days (my workout rest days), but I also use this rope with other handles I’ve bought for workouts only purely because the feel of the rope is good.

The other positive is you can buy the replacement Dope rope cord only here if required.

I bought the 2. 0 – Fitness, 2. 0 – weighted, and Heavyweight Beaded two months ago. This fitness version is the most basic BUT also the easiest to carry around, pack, and is my girlfriend’s favorite as the other options “just don’t feel right”.

I honestly expect to be able to execute double unders sooner on this rope than the others and I’m less afraid of hitting myself practicing mic releases with this rope as it’s lighter than the other weighted ropes.

BUT my favorite rope is the 2. 0 – Weighted model.

I couldn’t use the jump rope yet because I couldn’t adjust it’s length. I don’t own a screwdriver small enough to loosen the screw and make the adjustment. A thumb screw would make it a lot easier, and it’s usually what I see on all the ropes in the gym.

It’s in the picture as a screw, I just didn’t expect it to be that small.

I had been using a piece of junk plastic jump rope to try to master double-unders, and it just wasn’t cutting it. After a little bit a research I happened upon this product. To be honest, when I first got it, I thought I messed up and didn’t order the right size.

It wasn’t until I talked with a friend of mine that I realized I needed to cut it to length and then recap it. You will need to use wire cutters to do this, and make sure you save the little black piece on the end.

After sizing properly and recapping it, it is an amazing product! I Highly recommend this jump rope for any new comer to the crossfit world or to learning double-unders.

Before getting this jump rope I kind of started to dislike jump roping. My previous rope made it really hard to progress. It was too light and it didn’t have ball bearings in the handles. Practicing double unders was so much easier with this rope.

The price is right and the and the quality is A+.

This product shipped super fast, which was so appreciated during quarantine life. The rope is lightweight (really light) and moves easily, and has been great for my garage wods. The only negative (and it’s really little) is that I cut the rope according to the instructions—but the instructions don’t account for my long ponytail swinging around and catching the rope on its turns! But luckily, this came with two ropes, so if I get tired of securing my hair differently, I’ll just cut a new one.

Otherwise, a good lightweight rope for a great price with great service.

I ordered several of your speed jump ropes. I believe 15. I had one handle break the first time during use. The part that connects rope to handle came completely out of handle. Your team was great at issuing me another rope, free of charge, to replace the broken one.

However, one jumping this week, I had another rope break. It did the exact same thing. So sad! I love these ropes but this is the second one to break.

Had their jump rope for almost 6 years and was fantastic. Recently ordered another one (got a bonus second one). Still as good…reliable speed jump rope. Easy to adjust and do single or double unders.

Will definitely continue using them.
