Would work fine as a training aid to a dog you have access to. It get’s their attention but not their respect. NO effect on a problem animal.

I just received my device and the very first time I used it my little Luke, a Maltese, stopped barking and looked at me as if to say, what did you do. Just started using this tool a couple of weeks ago. I’ve seen good improvement in Bug’s behavior when I say ‘leave it’. This past winter he began chasing trucks on our road; needless to say, very dangerous habit.

My Westie is a true terrier. On our morning walks we always had to cross the street to avoid passing bigger dogs. He would bark his head off! It became embarrassing as everyone avoided us! We have two black lab brothers who like to fight. Nothing we did worked to stop them. The Doggie Don’t stops them every time..

Much prefer this bark controller than any other (especially the ones that the dog wears). I keep it by my side and if pup starts whining, use it. If pup decided to start barking again I use it and it stops that behavior in its tracks.

Does not work at all. Dogs do not even care about the frequency. They just keep barking. Have been training them for 10days now. No result.

The SBC-10 performs as advertised. It is quick to recharge and maintains charge surprisingly well. It is VERY effective, and WILL end the habitual barking. I have 3 beagles housed in outdoor kennels, that had developed a habit of persistent barking.

The SBC-10 ended the behavior immediately. Correct color adjustment is crucial. I very much recommend using the ‘user select’ mode, and in the minimal stimulation setting, as it is more than enough stimulation for effectiveness.

Although the description sounds less severe, I feel that the ‘progressive stimulation’ mode only creates inconsistency in training principle. My previous experience with e-collars was in stopping hunting dogs from running deer.

I found that to be quite simple, effective, and straightforward. Using the SBC-10 is quite different in that it is not as straightforward for the dog, in that since the stimulation is likely to produce barking in reaction, and that a chain of bark/stimualtion, bark/stimulation is likely to occur, and takes MUCH longer for the dogs to learn to avoid the pattern.

A mode level low enough to avoid the reaction barking, and high enough to stop the voluntary barking is the goal. Using an ordinary e-collar to break dogs off deer of course does not stimulate the dog to a reaction bark, but is not useful for bark control.

My German shepherd’s barking had gotten so bad we were nearly thinking we might have to rehome him Our shepherd would sit perched on a mound and constantly bark at the neighbours dog all day. I was a little dubious as we had tried different static collars in the past, but he just barked straight through them I ordered it on Friday and it arrived on Sunday. We charged it up and popped it on him.

We set it to manual mode and put it on number 4 (as recommended as our dog was already used to wearing other static collars). I can tell you now – it worked straight away! I don’t typically wright reviews however I had to with this collar because it has relieved so much stress from my life. This collar is for my large breed Great Pyrenees/shepherd mix. We live in a busy city and he barks non-stop at every single dog he sees and he is very aggressive about it too.

I’ve paid over $1k on training sessions and nothing could get him to stop. I was so tired of dealing with it and being embarrassed on our family walks. This collar changed everything for us, it doesn’t bother him and works like a charm.

I use setting 6 for my dog which doesn’t seem to hurt him badly but definitely gets him to stop losing his mind after seeing a dog. I see some bad reviews on this product and I want to stress the importance: YOU NEED TO FIT THE COLLAR CORRECTLY OR IT WILL NOT WORK AT ALL! I was at first frustrated because the collar would only work every several barks (not effective) however i read the manual more in depth and fixed the fitting.

It has to be tight enough to work and the band of the collar has to be just under the ears or the base of the skull. All in all great product, life changing really.

Wow amazing – you can teach an old dog I have a 10 year old American Staffy X, he’s always been a talker and has his faults (some my fault, others due to circumstance). Life was pretty good until my next door neighbour brought an English Staffy home … then trouble really started.

My dog and his dog have created a daily ritual of trying to kill one another; running and jumping into the fence, scratching at the fence and going absolutely nuts into the red zone with non stop murderous barking.

Everything I tried only slowed my dog down at best. That was until I purchased the Dogtra YS 600 , I read the reviews and hoped that this would change things. Started him off at level 2; it did nothing, went to level 5; it didn’t do a thing, went to level 7; and wow that did the trick.

I’ve tried turning him down to level 6 but he needs to be at level 7. Didn’t take him long to adjust, it hasn’t only done the job of snapping him out of bad behaviour; he’s learnt to change his behaviour.

Only a week or so in and he can walk right past the fence where next doors dog is going nuts and not react at all. I even forgot to turn it on for half a day and that’s how much his behaviour has changed,; he acted as if he’d be corrected.

Absolutely incredible! The very first day I used it on my 9-month-old Springer, I saw results! She always barked non-stop while I was preparing her meals. She barked as usual while I was preparing her breakfast; by that evening when I was fixing her dinner, she didn’t bark at all, and hasn’t since.

Her barking while playing has really subsided to a minimum. I have also used it on her brother with similar results. The one-size-fits-all collar has closely spaced holes for a perfect fit. The only drawback is that the collar is long, and there is no place to secure the excess.

I solved this problem by cutting off several inches; still leaving enough collar to accommodate my larger dog’s neck. I highly recommend this product.

Wow, I am so surprised I didn’t buy this earlier. I have a very energetic 1yr Purebred male German Shepherd. He doesn’t have a bad habit of barking all the time but whenever he sees another dog, he goes crazy.

I have only used this twice now, on level 1, and he will not bark when he wears the collar. This is the best tool that I have found to really cause your dog to actually THINK about what he or she is doing.

I can try to calm him down all I like with no collar, but I am not a robot so therefore the likely hood of myself being completely consistent every single time I have to correct him is slim. He is trained, overall very kind.

But I am so glad I have finally found a solution to this problem. Thank you!! He won’t need to wear it every single day, but having the ability to come back to the collar for any extra reinforcement in the future is awesome.

I have a very reactive dog who wants to meet and play with every dog and person she meets. Unfortunately, she communicates this by loud and continuous barking which frightens people. I tried a sonic device designed to distract her (which worked twice until she realized there was no real consequence) and behavioral training to reward her when she listens, but she’s young and has no impulse control.

This works very well if you know how to use it. It isn’t supposed to he used over and over line I’ve read it only lasts a like 10 sprays. When the animal does the unwanted behavior you spray a short burst in the air, use the word you are going to use like Stop or Don’t Jump and then once they’ve stopped you reward with them with “good boy.

” I don’t recommend using treats because they quickly will start thinking when they stop an unwanted behavior they get a treat. There are also different can sizes meant for different types of people.

Smaller for personal use, bigger for trainers or more than one animal. It isn’t supposed to he used over and over. If the animal doesn’t respond to it, then getting a trainer to help with what will work is a good idea.

It definitely isn’t meant to stop all unwanted behavior. Just the major ones. You can’t use it to stop the 10 different things your animal doesn’t like. He/she may see the can and stop when you use your verbal command you used when using the cam to start with.

That’s the goal. Not spraying it over and over. We use it for our Doberman puppy who’s almost anyway who barks and is Leary of people who come to the door and come in. We first taught sit. When someone comes to the door we said sit.

When she didn’t and was barking we did a short burst and said “stop. ” It stopped her in her tracks and she sat. When the person came in and she started barking and growling slightly we sprayed also while she’s on a short leash and said “stop” again.

Then told her to sit and used the words “it’s ok” and pet her and repeated it’s ok. She’s then allowed to sniff the person without them reaching towards her and she then realizes they aren’t a threat and licks their hand.

She then starts wagging her tail. She was the most shy in her litter and was bottle fed so her mom didn’t get the chance to teach her company is ok. It’s a learning process and we’re working on it, but with the help of a trainer we’ll move to off the leash next.

This may be the case where she does react like we want to the spray and will use it as long as needed. If your dog is still doing the behavior, but does react to the can, it’ll just take time and repeated correction and using the same vocal command is key.

That’s when you will be able to move to just using the vocal command and not have to spray every time. It’s not to be replaced with verbal commands forever. Only if your trainer recommends it. I strongly suggest using a trainer if it doesn’t work or they will only stop when you have to keep spraying the air can to get them to stop.

I initially purchased this as recommended by my trainer to teach my dog how to properly walk on a leash (my dog had a problem thinking leash time was actually tug of war). WELL, today on our walk my dog was doing great when we passed a green strip in our neighborhood and low and behold there was what appeared to be a dog walker with 4 dogs.

One of the smaller dogs escaped her grip and came running toward me and my puppy Doberman. I quickly stood in front of my dog and was able to grab the small dog by his collar and return him to his owner.

I carried on and no more than 2 minutes later I hear the woman screaming “get back here! Bad dog!” I turn around to see her husky and large fluffy white dog sprinting at me at full speed. I crossed the street in an attempt to get out of their line of vision and confirmed they were in fact chasing me and my dog.

I quickly turned around and without thinking utilized the pet corrector spray by spraying it in their direction and saying a loud and firm “STOP. ” Immediately the dogs halted in their tracks and I herded them back to their owner who was doing nothing but yelling “bad dog” at them (as if them being off leash is their fault).

The moral of the story is I don’t know what the dogs were going to do next! Jump on me? I’m only 5’ 2”! Bite my dog? He’s just a little puppy! Or worse bite me?! I don’t think they were aggressive but they were clearly over excited and out of control.

Thank God for the pet corrector spray! I will never take my dog on a walk again without it!!.

Our Great Dane had a few lingering bad habits, mostly because she is too fast and seemingly did not realize she was being bad. This spray is amazing. The sound instantly made her stop so we could correct the bad behavior.

Now (on our 3rd bottle) when she hears it she knows she is being bad and stops what she is doing without further intervention (although we still do). The small size is small enough to fit in my pocket for walks which is ideal because most of her triggers are away from home.

Even the sight of the spray puts her on better behavior, she is calmer and seems to think first instead of just reacting to a trigger like a squirrel. It even works from a distance (like at the dog park) because she stops to see if it was for her or another dog.

This works really well at the dog park, when other dogs get aggressive the sound makes all the dogs stop long enough for everyone to grab their dogs and handle it from there. It is designed for dogs so it will not hurt their hearing.

We have ‘a few’ little dogs and they love to play ‘bark-like-crazy-people-and-run-along-the-fence’ with neighbouring dogs if they happen to be out at the same time; it turns into a horrible barkfest that I’m sure the entire neighbourhood hates.

We only purchased one of these collars to test it out before putting out the money for one for each dog; we put it on our biggest ‘instigator’ dog and it works like a charm. It is sad to see when they get ‘zapped’, heartbreaking in fact, but they sure learn fast, and they’re smart enough to not let it happen again once they figure out what is causing it (which takes only a few times of wearing, ie less than a week for sure)! The collar adjusts so it’s best to have one for each dog because it is a pain to have to change the sizing each time.

The sizing has to be perfect. We did try it on each of our dogs, and it worked with each of them. There should be room for a finger between the metal part and the dog’s throat. If it is too loose, it won’t work.

If it is too tight, it is detrimental to the dog. Our Miss Instigator knows that as soon as the collar goes on her, she should not partake in the fun barking-activities, and the other dogs are less into that fun game with the neighbours, so even just having one collar has helped immensely.

Miss Instigator now just walks away when wearing the collar. We plan on buying one for each of our dogs eventually. We haven’t tried this yet, but I have read that once the dog has learned what the collar does, you can remove it and replace it with a normal collar (non zapping), and it tricks them into believing they are still wearing the barker (zapping) collar.

Apparently this collar shouldn’t be used in conjunction with the perimeter fence thing because the 2 things used together confuse the dog and it’s hard for them to learn what is causing the zap. Another note is that you shouldn’t leave the dog unattended wearing the collar, ie if you go out for the day and have a barker in the house, don’t use it.

This collar is activated by vibration in the dog’s throat during barking, and I have seen it zap the dog when the dog did a ‘reverse-sneeze’. If something happened with your dog while you were out which made the collar believe the dog was barking, I’d hate to think of your poor dog sitting there all alone getting zapped all day while you’re not there.

It is a training thing, and not a fulltime thing.

My dog is a rescue and has been a bit skittish since we got him. We know nothing about his past and therefore don’t know why he is so shy. He tends to bark (very loudly) whenever someone comes in our house.

He also barks at our neighbors when he is outside in the yard, if they startle him. We decided to try this collar since his bark can scare some people, and it can be annoying. I totally regret trying this! He barked a few times (meaning the level of shock went up a few levels) and afterwards he hid in a corner and was shaking.

He was afraid of everyone in the room and kept his tail between his legs. I tried taking him outside to play but he hid under a tree and ignored all his toys! I couldn’t even get him to come back in the house, he just sat at the door, shaking.

It took my dog 3 hours to get over this reaction. I won’t be using this collar again. I am sure this collar might work for nuisance barking, but if your dog is fearful or skittish, they are probably barking out of fear so this will only make them more afraid.

I bought this product because we lived in an apartment with THIN walls and our dog barked every time we left the house. After much debate about using a shock technique, my husband and I decided that this collar would work best on our strong-headed mutt.

We followed the directions with the Anti-Bark collar and various online reviews and within a week our dog wasn’t barking when we left her! We continued to use the device for a month, removing the batteries so that she wouldn’t get shocked but had the reminder not to bark around her neck.

I like how it is highly adjustable and easy to clean. you also plug it into a USB charger cord to charget it up. The charge lasts awhile too. And when it needs charged up again a yellow light blinks to tell u to charge it.

Very convient. Only problems I had with it was that it wouldn’t stay in the exact spot it needed to over the dogs voicebox. It was on not too tight and not to loose but my dog somehow got it to move to the side.

The spray that comes from it is a short strong burst of the fragrance. I used citronella first so then I could tell if it had worked right. The scent only last a few seconds in the air. There is also no fragrance scent thing too.

I think as far as how effective it is a hit or a miss. It does not go off with those low barks I noticed. Or the short little barks. Like the barks they do when they think they hear something but there is nothing.

Yeah didn’t work or my dog. It did work the few times she did a full on bark though. But I think she outsmarted it because she just wouldn’t do her loud powerful bark anymore and just quieter ones. And let’s just say if the little box thing isn’t exactly in the spot it needs to be it doesn’t work right.

We also had a few mishaps with it going off randomly when I was fixing it. Honestly my dog isn’ a Huge barker. But the older she gets she doe’s bark more than she used to at certain things. But she will she top barking with or without the spray collar.

Overall it is a decent product! It does work when it wants to work.

Good Bark Collar So I wanted to wait to try this on my pet for 2 weeks before I wrote a review for this bark Collar. So my dog Princess barks constantly when put outside to use the bathroom and I could never find a product that would stop her from barking at our 2 neighbors.

So I received this in the mail and put it on Princess right then. She felt comfortable in it which was nice. This bark collar stops her from barking and I am so thankful. The neighbors are very happy now I am sure that they do not hear barking.

This is good, safe, and not like them harmful shock collars that hurt your pets so that’s a plus! Would recommend to your dogs. It only puts out a mist if the dog barks and it is safe to use! I will be buying this again if I need to.

I also recommended to friends and my family with dogs.

I’ve never tried anything to keep our dogs from barking. At the beginning of the year we moved to a busy neighborhood and the barking is constant. It drives us crazy. I was all for a safe way to detur barking and happy to try this collar.

I did some trouble getting it to work. I ended up going to the company website and watched their videos. That was very helpful and I recommend doing that if you run into anything. The other issue I’ve had is that the collar keeps moving so unless it’s right under the dogs nose he doesn’t notice it.

I’ve tightened it as much as I am comfortable and feel my dog is comfortable. It took us both some learning but it is helping. As long as I make sure it hasn’t moved. I think over time he will stop barking at every little thing.

I would like to get one for our other dogs too. I would recommend it.

Initially it worked well,but now he barks through it,although not as long. He is 10 and I know you ad did not recommend it for dogs over 8 but thought we would try it.

Did the job My neighbours told me that my staffy would bark “uncontrollably” when we weren’t home. She would rarely bark when we were home, usually only if something unusual was happening on the other side of the fence, so we weren’t previously aware that we had a problem.

We bought the DOGTRA YS300 but were a little apprehensive, we didn’t want to hurt her. We tried it first on the vibrate only setting and watched secretly after pretending to leave. We saw her hesitate when she felt the vibration but then go on barking.

We tested the first level of stimulation (interestingly called Level 2) on ourselves and the kids ;P to ensure it wouldn’t cause her pain. It was an unpleasant sensation but not painful (not “ouch”, more “oh”).

We again pretended to leave and saw her bark once, flinch, then stop barking. She tried it a couple more times then not again. I’ve now noticed that while she’ll still run out to investigate an unusual sound, she won’t bark at it (this is while we’re home without the collar on) and I’ve had no more complaints from the neighbours.

The battery lasts well I’ve only charged it once and we’re still going months later. The dog will happily let me put it on her as long as there is a good treat on offer.

Honestly, I was at my wits end. My toy poodle had two behaviourists out. He was on every sort of medication to help with his barking – every long lasting treat – you name it, we did it. Except this. In my mind I was convinced this was awful.

I was wrong. I used this collar once on the vibration setting and that’s all it took. He learnt. We have now completely weaned off medication and he’s an entirely different dog. I needed to be educated this was a better choice than drugs.

Amazing collar and service! My kelpie constantly barked me at for attention, at people when walking, would pull towards and bark at cars which scared me so much!! 😢 and barked constantly on car rides which also very distressing.

Only had to used the collar a few times, once or twice at home, in the car once and walking once. Now only barks when she hears noises out the front which is rarely (still amazing security dog) Never pulls towards cars or people when we walk and rarely barks for attention (when playing fetch).

And sits perfectly still in the car and just wines when shes excited. They are in no way cruel as she is still her crazy loving self, so happy with this purchase, it’s changed our life!.

I was really apprehensive about buying my pup a bark collar but had no choice following council complaints about his barking. I researched thoroughly and found this the best collar on the market as I could control the setting and it seemed the safest and most reliable.

I spoke with the guys in Brisbane who were most helpful and patient with all my concerns/questions and decided to get one. The transaction went smoothly and I was able to pick it up instantly, they were even waiting outside to hand me the collar as there were no parking spots available in the car park at that time of day.

I got the collar home and popped it on my 6mths old pup on the lowest setting. He got used to it very quickly and I could instantly see that it was only a little discomfort for him when he barked. His behaviour corrected within 24 hours and I rarely have to use it now.

I still put it on him irregularly when he gets a bit excited and starts his barking again. It is also easy to use, easy to charge and weatherproof. I would highly recommend Bark Control collars for their product and their excellent service.

Tried others before finding this model. Others had the strange problem of correcting the dog when it wasn’t barking. Wasn’t going to put up with that. This never happens with this model. It also won’t go off if our other dog barks right next to her.

Important note- because our dog is medium sized (with a large bark) and fairly easily discouraged from barking this worked great. When she tries to bark (rarely now) the first mild correction is enough to stop her from continuing.

If there’s something that really scares her or alarms her (this has only happened once so far) she will bark up till about 5-6 then stop and wait 30 seconds then start again. So your experience may vary and the more expensive programmable model might work better.

FYI- first battery lasted 5-6 weeks and that was during her learning phase so lots more barks than now.

I have 7 dogs, Kelpies, Cattle dogs and a Mastiff. I have a BP 504 Barkless Pro for each of my dogs for when we are in town and can not recommend this product highly enough. It is EXTREMELY easy to set up, and EXTREMELY effective.

My dogs are used to moving livestock and on our town block get over stimulated and triggered by kids riding their motorbikes backwards and forwards along the front fence line and other “town” distractions.

Pre collars it was a nightmare trying to keep them quiet. Post collars is a whole different story. I love the fact that these collars have multiple settings and an automatic function that increases in severity as the barking continues.

The belt type collar is excellent as it doesn’t become loose during the day as the buckle locks into a hole. I have had terrible trouble in the past with the adjustable collars becoming ineffective because the plastic keeper slips and lengthens the strap as the dogs move around and play meaning that the box is no longer in contact with the dog’s skin (and can also flip upside down 🤦‍♀️).

I’ve also had a lot less movement of the collar (box) sideways on the dogs neck than I have had with collars in the past. My dogs learnt within hours not to bark when this collar is on. I have tried a number of barking collars from different suppliers in the past, all of which have been a dismal failure.

With the help from a Bark Control friendly staffer, I actually swapped to this collar from the Sportdog collar (which was absolutely brilliant also until my dachshund decided howling was his new favourite pastime).

This collar is a lot more sensitive to howling and on the high setting will pick up whining also. I loved the sportdog display better, but this one is easy to set up once you read instructions, and there’s also a YouTube video to help.

The static seems quite strong so we leave on lowest setting. And on Medium Sensitivity Function. My mini is 6. 5kg, the collar is a little bulky (most are) but we only have it on him once or twice a week.

This with positive reinforcement training is working well. He’s less stressed, and not getting into a barking frenzy when we leave the house now, which makes me less stressed too as the neighbours had mentioned it nicely ;).

He will now just lay down and wait patiently. A few little barks here n there, but it’s only been a couple of weeks. We are working on this separation anxiety with desensitisation training also with success, but the collar just helps when we can’t be there.

This company is helpful, friendly and understanding, great quality products, and return/replace policy is excellent.

This collar works so well! My obsessive nuisance barker is completely reformed in just a month. It has several settings and I keep it set on the lowest one. That’s all my dog needs to snap out of his obsessive behavior.

It has a Pavlovian tone that you can opt to use or not. I use it because I do like my dog to alert bark but not nuisance bark. This allows him to bark once and if he barks a second time within 5 seconds the tone sounds and he receives the correction.

It can be used without the tone and delay for immediate correction, as well, if you prefer no barking. I did use the test setting to test it on myself and the stim was noticeable but not at all painful.

I like this collar bc it has completely broken my 5 year old dog from obsessively barking at everything that goes by our house. He is able to relax more completely and actually ignores all the outside noises, even other dogs.

This brand, E-Collar Tech, is the best. You really do get what you pay for and this collar is worth every dollar. It is well made and works perfectly. I especially love the counter that keeps track of how many corrections my dog receives.

The first few days he was wearing it he received 10-12! Now he can go days without receiving a single one! I will say it is very important to fit your dog correctly for E-collars. The strap on this one is very adjustable so you’ll be able to get a good fit.

However, you should research what that means if you’ve never used a device like this before.

This collar works great. I have six month old terrier mix pup. She is wonderful but has a high pitched bark that could be used as a torture device. I am working with a trainer and she recommended a bark collar.

She said it is humane and successful. I trust her so immediately ordered this collar. We are a much more peaceful family now and for such a reasonable price too.

If another dog is standing next to the one wearing the collar and barks, the dog wearing the collar gets corrected – the dog with the collar on wasn’t even the one barking! It’s teaching my dog to be afraid of other dogs for no reason.

I like the fact that it has several stages to correct, and the price point is reasonable. But, the microphone is picking up on other barking dogs, so it’s not working as it should. I would not advise using this product.

This is a great collar, very easy to set up & adjust as needed, very effective. My 19 lb Westie has been wearing it daily for 4 days, and the corrections worked immediately for him. I adjust the levels as our environment changes to avoid inadvertent triggers.

As far as the shock feature goes, I can barely feel anything when testing it on my bare skin, and what I do feel is much less noticeable or startling than a static electricity shock, nothing painful or traumatic.

This item has been great for when I’m watching tv in the living room and want to actively train my dog to stop doing a behavior. My dog has a strange obsession with biting the dining room table legs.

She doesn’t ruin any other furniture, just the dining room. We even replaced the dining room table for another one and she does the same thing. With this remote you simply point it in the direction of the dog and it emits a sound frequency that only the dog can hear! It’s not painful, only redirects their attention and deters them from the behavior you’re trying to correct.

It took three days of consistency and it FINALLY stopped my pup from chewing the table legs!.

This is a handy device for training. The beep is usually enough to deter bad behaviors, but the ultrasonic sure grabs my pet’s attention. I am not able to hear anything from ultrasonic mode, but my kids claim to hear a high-pitched noise when this button is pushed.

The device is small enough to easily fit in a pocket, but is also sturdy and fits well in my hand. I recommend this remote as a training aid.

We really liked this item. We have 4 dogs and they get really loud at times making it chaotic in the house. I did not think this item would make as big of a difference as it it. As soon as we turned it on they all sat down quietly and stared at us.

Love that it even came with batteries. Would definitely recommend this item! Great price on it too.

We have a very smart, strong willed golden doodle puppy. He barks for attention which he pretty much wants 24/7. He rings a bell for potty and was easy to house train. He knows to go to his bed while we eat.

But the jumping, barking and even nipping when he wanted to play fetch and we were otherwise occupied was a big issue. We just got this yesterday. At first we told him hush and he paused but started right back barking.

We then said hush and pressed the audible button. He paused and looked at the device for a few seconds then started again. Then we said hush and pressed the ultrasonic button. Just one clicked. He stopped and sat down.

We haven’t had to use it since. We say hush he looks at the device and goes and gets a toy to play by himself. Do not use this to ignore your pup. He needs your attention and play time with you! This is to teach limits and a valuable tool so far.

We have a Bluetick Coonhound and they bark and howl. She’s smart and has learned a lot but doesn’t always pipe down when we tell her to. She’s usually good in the house but outside is another story. We tried the shock collar but can only do the vibration and beep.

We just can’t bring ourselves to actually shock her. Wanted to try something else. This is nice because you can’t hear it but they can. We get her attention with this ultrasonic, give her the command “no barking” “stop” or whatever, if she listens, she gets a small training treat.

It’s going to take some time but so far it seems to be working. We’ve had it about a week and she does hear it and looks at us when we got the button, so I’m confident it’s going to help finish her training.

We purchased this at the recommendation of our dog trainer. Our large German Shephard has a bad habit of “greeting” everyone once they enter the front door. We had something that sounded like a taser, but it was not working well.

We have tried this and within just a few days the jumping has stopped. We know this is really supposed to be used more for controlling barking, but our trainer said she uses it for jumping and barking and it works well for both.

I can attest to the jumping!! It is nice quaility and was the perfect price. It comes with the batteries already so you don’t have to worry about buying batteries either. Great item!!.

I have gone through so many different types of barking collars and this one is the only on that has kept my dog quite. He’s able to let off only a few seconds of barking then he’s so quite. I can’t recommend this product enough.

Did not deter my dog from barking. I would send it back but I cut off the excessive length of collar and they probably will not accept a return. It is like my dog is wearing nothing. I do not recommend this dog collar to anyone.

If your dog just barks once in a while and you think this device is going to work, forget it.

German Shepherd. So. Two weeks of trial and error before I make this recommendation. When the unit works, it works and the dog stops barking after a few seconds. Exactly as the product describes. The problem is that appears that the unit is very positional sensitive.

Meaning that if it is not directly flush against the dogs vocal chords it simply doesn’t work. It may also be the thick neck hair on the dog. If you had a short haired dog it may be more consistent. Either way, I,m a bit torn.

It is terrific when it works but the randomness that it does means that I cannot recommend it. The unit itself appears to be well made with good materials and the collar itself is also appearing to be good quality.
