I bought this book because I was reading one at work that belonged to a friend of mine. I have been married twice to the same man and divorced twice same man. I have had trouble with my feelings about me failing both times.

This book has helped me realize that I don’t have to beat myself up and feel the way I do. So far I have not found anything about it I do not like. I know that it was been reprinted many times. I am going to get the newest reprint.

The fact is that some people can live single and live a fullfilled life in the Lord. There is so much information I would recommend this book to everyone.

I have recently started reading John Grishams novels, and have read quite a few in the past couple of months. This one is my favorite so far. I think its because it shows what one person with a good heart can accomplish in this world.

Like all Grisham’s books they are compelling reading – once you start, you can’t stop – good familiar characters- like slipping into an old shoe – you know them already.

I read the book. It started off with a hostage takeover that kept me turning the pages to see what happened next. I loved the way the plot made me reevaluate what is really important in my life and exactly why I am so driven.

I questioned my purpose in life and why I continually toil for that which satisfieth me not. I have made life changing decisions, based on the plot of this book!.

Think of this book as emergency room training for marriages that are about to collapse. Unlike other books on relationships, this one focuses on what to do after you spouse has moved out, taken up with someone else, or has said that she or he wants a divorce.

What do you do now? Michele Weiner Davis appears to have written this book to correct some misimpressions she left in her book, Divorce Busting (which I have not read). Here, she makes it clear that you can be your own marriage counselor, and you can succeed even if your spouse won’t agree to work on the marriage.

Based on her experiences as a marriage counselor, Ms. Davis feels that almost any marriage has the potential to be saved. She also points out that divorce is no bed of roses. The statistics back her up.

I am certain that some of this will help some marriages, but I am also certain as Ms Davis wrote, not all marriages should or can be saved. A good read, has helped my marriage and me grow and a person.

This book is a MUST READ for everyone who is in a relationship or will be in the future, whether your married, divorced, or engaged. Michelle gives so much insight to problems that everyone finds in relationships and helps to create solutions.

It doesn’t matter what your past was like. It doesn’t matter if your having problems because of something that happened to you as a child. Sure, it helps to know why you are who you are, but what next? Michelle is a therapist who uses Solution Based Therapy, therefore she does not revel in the past but looks toward the future for solutions to your problems.

This is a great book to get you on track when dealing with divorce complicated by borderline personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder. It gives an out line of what to expect, how to cope, what to do, pointers on how to do it, that is, how to protect yourself (and children) while working through divorcing this personality type.

– navigating through this minefield. Very practical. It was recommend to me by a mediator in a resolutions practice and it is brillant for legal and psychological advice.

I bought this book for myself and this time for a good girlfriend as we both had almost identical marriages with Domestic Violence perpetrated by Narcissistic ex-husbands and needed help with how to protect ourselves against these toxic people.

The book was good in that it had a lot of affirming information although it is american and so based on their legal system and so differences must be taken into account. I could not find any other more useful book available for this specific subject.

I found the book very informational. Unfortunately, if you are in a State or Legal System that is uneducated you may have difficulty educating those people who can reduce the High Conflict Divorce to something more reasonable.

However, the author is very clear that the best you may be able to do is just break even in all aspects of a HC Divorce. In any case, this book is most effective if read prior to a divorce. He gives good advise as what not to do.

This book is a little different than the other Lincoln Lawyer stories. Mickey Haller usually defends those accused of crimes. In this story line, Haller is both the defender and the defended! He was charged and jailed for a crime he didn’t commit.

It was an interesting play on the different aspects for the same person. both accused criminal and defense lawyer. I do have to say, though, this book caused a lot of anxiety for me while reading it.

I, personally, like the Mickey Haller character–with all his warts. The story was told and detailed so expertly that I felt anxiety for Haller and had to get to the end to both find out “who done it” and to relax my anxiety! Silly, but an honest reaction to this story.

I knew Haller would get off, but Connelly did such a great job describing the emotions of Haller and his team that I got caught up in it. I liked the book, the story line, and most of all the renewed relationship with he and his ex-wife.

However, I am glad I finished the book. my anxiety level is now gone!.

Couldn’t wait to get this book, what a huge disappointment. Nothing like the 5 previous books of the Lincoln Lawyer series. All courtroom, jail, courtroom jail; no action, no suspense. I was extremely disappointed that he felt the need to insert the corona virus/pandemic & politics in here.

I read to get away/escape into another world with a good book, I also don’t care to hear his political views. Will not even pass this on, going in the garbage.

This is a very good readable book. The Lincoln lawyer is a well-developed character. Connelly as a writer develops the story avoiding inputting every poetic or proselike thought he’s ever had down on paper.

Moving along, the main character gets himself into quite a jam; but produces good courtroom drama. Read it, you will like it.

I have read almost all of John Grisham’s books. I am a retired lawyer and enjoy reading about his courtroom jury trials. All of the emotions that the Rogue Lawyer, Sebastian Rudd experiences are the real emotions felt by trial attorneys.

I can vouch for that! As I read about the clients that Sebastian Rudd represented, I become a part of his world; and I’m so glad that I’m retired and don’t have all those worries now. This lawyer has his office in a van, outfitted with all the necessary gadgets for a real law office, and it’s fun to think about doing that with a real van today.

This book deals with the shady underworld of criminal clients, and although not all clients rise to this level of horror, some do, and that makes this book a real page-turner. The book is written along the lines of several vignettes, but each chapter does relate back to the prior story, which makes the book a very easy read.

The only reason I bought two copies of the Rogue Lawyer is because I thought I had lost the one I had, but it was later found. In the meantime I had already ordered the second copy, so I gave it to my sister to read.

However, I have a hardback copy of all of Grisham’s novels and have read all of them. As you know, the only book he has written so far which contains foul language is his first, A Time to Kill. That book called for foul language to make the story realistic, but all of his other works contain no foul language because the story or theme of the book does not call for it.

It seems that some authors cram their books with foul language because think that is what the public likes to read. I never did like that, but I would read through the cursing and swearing in order to stay with the story.

It seems like there is less foul language in some of the books of other authors now. It seem as though more and more people are cleaning up their language, at least in public.

I have read some really good books from this author. This is not one. The character is not likeable. Actually there is no likeable characters in this book except the unfortunate son. The story doesn’t flow.

It is more a book of short stories. Very disappointing. The two best books he wrote in my opinion are The Summons and The testament.

This book is truly a Godsend, in so many ways! Tracies words, with her graceful, loving, sweet and vulnerable approach, are so comforting and inviting to those of us who feel we have been broken, and have known the heartbreak of divorce.

Hearing her true life story, told to us with such bravery and openness, lets us know that its ok for us to share our truth too, in hopes of helping someone else such has she has here. Every chapter, I somehow connected to, and shed many tears of relief and a new sense of hopefulness.

Her guidance and gentle teachings of Gods word throughout, are so easy to accept and understand. Giving us the confidence and strength to accept that we are loved no matter what, and that letting go of shame and guilt that are certainly normal to feel, are also okay to lay down and move forward from.

Letting go of what we wanted our life to be, and embracing what our reality is, will set us on a new path, that we deserve to be on. Giving us the courage to keep moving forward and know that we are going to be okay, and believe that Truth! Her raw truths about feelings of insanity and the hope of true growth possibilities is so encouraging.

Ending each chapter with tips for finding happiness, and steps for healing and prompts for acknowledging self care during this process are so wonderful in letting readers know we are not alone! I know it was no accident that I was lead to this book, and it is a MUST HAVE for women making this discovery, that she can get to a place of loving her life again!.

I bought this for my granddaughter. I read about forty pages of it to her. Because she was busy after that, I read it on my own. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am sure most people would find it very entertaining.

I love to read a Grisham novel and I was pleased when my twelve-year-old grandson loaned me his copy of this legal thriller written for the younger crowd. Grisham’s characters are fleshed out so well I feel as if I know them.

His plots moves along at just the right pace and the endings settle the murder mystery. However this ending had me wanting even more; I wanted the author to tie up the loose end of Omar Cheepe. Perhaps we’ll meet him again in a future Theo novel.

I recommend this novel to young and old. There’s much to be learned about the law within these pages. The writing is well done without any profanity or inappropriate scenes. I sure enjoyed it!.

Have read all of Grisham’s books, this is one about a young teen, one of a series, suitable for anyone teen to adult. Theo is quit interested in the court/ justice system and helps many others with their problems.

This is the most amazing book regarding emotionally destructive marriages! I truly believe not only every person in an emotionally destructive relationship should have this book, but also every friend, pastor, counselor, and women’s shelter.

Leslie covers so much about this subject in the book; she doesn’t leave a stone unturned – how to recognize what is unhealthy, what is healthy, understanding that God values your safety, and what to do if you choose to leave.

Leslie is a remarkably Godly woman with a very Godly perspective on the subject!.

If you think your being emotionally abused then you need to read this book! It gives you steps on how to determine if you are being emotionally abuse, and what to do to help you. All from a biblical prospective.

This was so helpful for getting a clear perspective on unhealthy/abusive patterns ( and how to address them) in marriage. Leslie also walks the reader through their own feelings about their marriage and how to stay or leave well.

This book was written quite some time ago, and feels a little dated as you read it. However, the concepts presented are still relevant now for someone who is going through a relationship breakdown. I bought this book so that I could try to help my sister whose husband left her.

Before reading the book, I felt very out of my depth with knowing how to support her. After reading the book, I had a much better understanding of why relationships break down, and felt better equipped to offer thoughts and advice when my sister needed it.

If you are not a religious person (I am not) then it can be a bit overwhelming to get through all the bible references in the book. But if you are able to take these tongue-in-cheek, then you will still find the content useful and practical.

Often the “case studies” that the author uses sound a little bit too perfect, and I did wonder sometimes if he was talking about real people, or if he had conveniently made up the stories to fit in with each section in the book! Overall though, I think the author is genuine in the advice he offers.

He is clearly an experienced relationship counsellor / psychologist, and the concepts he presents give the reader some tools to deal with their relationship issues. The solutions offered in this book sound fabulous in theory, and I’m sure with persistence they could work for many people in healing broken spousal relationships.

One thing missing from the book is the “time” factor, though. There is a perception that if you follow these steps – A, B, C – all will be instantly rosy again. The book glosses over the fact that it can take months of work to even get the communication in a relationship back on par.

The steps also assume that the response from the other spouse will be “textbook”. There are so many variations in each couple’s relationship – there cannot possibly be a one-size-fits-all approach to saving a relationship.

Generally, though, a useful book for the relationship arsenal.

I just bought this book for my 23 year old son and his new bride. I hope the same great marriage for them.

Ms Sidney Powell is a formidable lawyer who can see the whole picture. Here she plainly chronicles her experience of some tough lawfare by unaccountable US Government agencies. A compelling read for anyone interested in what really happens behind the headlines.

Sydney Powells book is enlightening, frightening, and appalling. Powell shows how federal prosecutors fabricated a crime then illegally withheld exculpatory evidence in the Ted Stevens and Enron trials.

Some of these prosecutors are still in responsible positions in our society. Andrew Weismann is high in Muellers Special Counsel. And Judicial Watch just revealed, through FOIA requests, that Mueller was using these same illegal tactics in 2002 when he withheld exculpatory evidence from a FISA court.

Powell Is compelling and frightening in revealing Just how corrupt some in our justice system are.

This book contends that Enron defendants and U. S. Senator Ted Stevens were treated unjustly by the federal criminal justice system. It’s complete hogwash, but great for background on Sidney Powell, the nutcase defense attorney for Michael Flynn and promoting bogus election conspiracy theories for Trump.

Not that crazy about it. Doesn’t cover “all” of the Powers of Atty. I am thinking about returning it. Most people don’t know there is a Mental Health POA as well which is different than just the Medical and is necessary in most cases.
