Best Dispatcher For Hotshot Drivers (2025 Updated)

I was very concerned about spending all that money and then being let down with the performance. My old driver was a TaylorMade 09 Bruner and I knew being 13 years old there had to be something out there with newer technologies.

With my old driver I would get into a slicing funk occasionally. With 8-9 rounds with my Stealth HD Driver I have not sliced one shot, although I did push one. When I slow down my swing and good tempo all my shots are down the middle.

If I over swing I do pull the ball. I will admit the pulls are long, in the middle of the lake instead of just barely in the lake. By slowing down this driver it is not quit as long as the old driver but I’m not in trouble and running up my score.

I’ve already dropped 2 stokes off my handicap. I would definitely recommend going to a “DemoDay” [driving range] instead of buying off the shelf as the the associate worked with me until he found the right combination.

If he can help this old dog [75 yrs] he can probably help you. Now I’m wondering about saving up for a couple of fairway woods. I wonder if my wife would understand, probably not.

I’ve been a TaylorMade guy since I finally got fitted 11 years ago. I wentand got fitted for stealth irons, rescue, 3 wood, and Driver back April 2022. Worst summer of golf ever!!! It’s like I’ve forgotten how to golf.

The driver when fitted showed a nice little draw. I’ve yet to hit a draw with this club. Everything fades, cuts, or slices. At one time, I could call my shot. I’ve hit this driver over 200 yds 3 times this summer and my distance is down 100 yds! I actually hit my 3 hybrid the same distance.

I’m at the range 3 times a week trying to figure this club out. I would have snapped it in half a month ago but my GF just won’t like me. Seriously thinking about trying Callaway or another brand. My handicap has went up 2 strokes!.

I bought the Stealth clubs, Driver HD 12 loft senior flex, 3 & 5 Woods & 4 Hybrid, about a month ago and love them ALL! I hit longer, added 20-25 yards on my drives, and straighter shots with each club.

Improved my play on long par 4s and par 5s. I also play the TM SIM senior irons and the new MG 3 wedges, including the new Hi- Toe model 3. My putter will always be a SC Newport 2. This will be my last club set.

Purchased a Taylormade SIM Driver from Victoria Park Golf Club, Brisbane, Australia on 28/12/2021 and after hitting about 20 balls, mostly at a driving range, I have noticed that a small dent has appeared on the toe area of the head.

The little use is also down to the fact I have not played a full round of golf since 27/12/2021 due to a shoulder/neck injury. My handicap is 11. 8. I have both an M4 and M5 driver, as well as Mizuno JPX850 and ST190, and have not had any issues like this with any of them.

I have also owned and played the M2 and Jetspeed drivers as well as a Cobra F9, Callaway Razr X, Callaway XR and Mizuno ST180 drivers over a 10 year period with no damage to any of them. I have played the M4 for about last 2+ years, 3-4 times a week as well as driving range use with no issues.

The receipt from Victoria Park Golf Club lists the club as “2nd hand” however, apart from the dent, it is in a 9. 9/10 condition. There are no ball marks on the face and virtually no scratches on the bottom.

Even where the dent is, shows no evidence of any marks or scratches. The club is virtually brand new. I briefly read your Warranty Terms and Conditions, and note that it applies to first end users only.

However, if you inspected the club, you would see that it has clearly not been used much at all, in fact, probably only by me, such is the condition. I also note that toe dents seem common in several Taylormade drivers, for no real apparent reason, so clearly there is an issue with certain Taylormade drivers Can you please consider whether this damage can be considered under Warranty.

The club is now worth very little, if anything, and I have no idea how this dent will affect performance.

To whoever is thinking about buying this, I would have to say go for it. I personally purchased the 2 rescue configuration with the stock tensei shaft. Mind you I’m not the best golfer out there, but I was surprised with the forgiveness of this club.

I’ve watched all the famous youtubers say that this is club is for the low handicappers out there, but I beg to differ. This club was mainly used off the tee and I was getting about 240-260. Very pleased with the product’s performance however the biggest issue with this club is the build quality.

I’ve had mine for a bout two months and played maybe 10 rounds, I noticed that right away the paint of the face was chipping and the bottom of the club is super scratched up. Mind you I only use this club off the tee, I use new balls and I wipe them down after every tee shot.

I’ve had previous hybrids from tm before and I have to say quality wise it’s lacking, the sim hybrid I had last year looks mint and the face has barely any noticeable scratches. I probably used that upwards to 40 rounds.

Anyways that aside great products. Tools not Jewels right?.

I Love this point driver! I have had Logan products in the past, and now, they just prove that their products are still the best when it comes to framing. This driver makes placing my art, whether it is a canvas or pastel mounted onto a board, easy to install into any frame.

I love the fact that I have control of placing the points where it is needed, not where some frames force you to adjust or remove their selected location. When I mount my pastels, with the mat board, backing board, etc.

, the thickness of everything put together is not always where the existing points on the frame may end up. Plus, when I frame a canvas, the points are perfect for holding the canvas in place without extensive strips or anything else.

It is clean looking and secure! I am so happy I have this!.

Bought this item with points also manufactured by Logan. I inserted a block of paints and used all but last one successfully. The last point got stuck half way out and remained there. I tried to pull out or push it back (after unlocking the mechanism.

Could not remove it and the point also broke in half while trying. Had to unscrew the unit. The point fell down as soon as unscrewing was done. Putting the unit back together was challenging due to spring and took like 15 attempts to complete.

I have since used it successfully in completing 16 frames.

I’m a professional artist who also worked as a professional framer in a large company and make my own frames. I used both the Fletcher Framemaster and Fleximaster point drivers in the past. I had never used or heard of the Logan F100-2 Dual Drive driver before although I am familiar with Logan matte cutters and have owned one for 20 years that is still in great condition.

When I left the framing business 2years ago I began looking for a point driver that would work with various woods including hard maple,ash and others. I took a chance on the Logan F110-2 because of the price and it’s versatility in driving both regular and flexible points.

The first frame I used it on was a hard maple frame. It drove the point in with no extra hand effort or difficulty. I was impressed. It seems to be made well also. I haven’t had a bit of trouble driving points into cherry, maple, walnut or any other wood yet.

I would recommend the Logan F100-2 Dual Drive Elite point driver to anyone concerned with adaptability, construction quality, ease-of-use and price.

I owe it to these clubs, which I bought today and tested with two buckets of balls, to say a few things for other struggling golfers aiming to get better. These clubs inspire confidence at address (closed-back system by Taylormade does it very nicely).

The shots are longer by 10-20 yards, straighter by about 15 degrees on average, so a bad slice now looks like in intended fade! Balls go much straighter despite my bad hits. The vibrations are reduced in your hands by probably 25% which is a lot.

I hardly felt anything after two buckets on grass. Normally, I hit one bucket then leave. Enjoyed a lot today, did two buckets. Before today, my favourite club is 7. Now, the advertising is true, that I like all of my irons from AW to 5 (lowest club in this set).

Hoping to soon get 4, 3, and 2 irons, rather than relying on my 3 woods. I consider myself scoring on a really good day at 90 while not counting the score on one worst hole. So anyone in my range of scoring should surely benefit as I sure do, immediately.

I think I will drop 5 to 10 shots off my round after this season. Much more fun playing golf now, looking forward to each iron shot. My thanks to these clubs.

I was fit and Purchased the P790s in late 2019. Absolutely loved them at first; for about 1. 5 years. Then started having control issues with the 7 iron and 5 iron. I play just about 1 to 2 times/week but range every other day.

Swings that previously had that butter feel; felt dead. Lost distance and simply no control. The 6 iron was fine. Took them to Club Champion to have them looked at. I suspect the speed foam separated from the metal face creating dead spots.

They techs agreed this is likely what happened after putting me on the launch monitor with all the clubs. Taylormade would not replace the heads on the 5 and 7. I paid $2,400 for the clubs. Can’t sell them due to the problem and Taylormade not replacing as they are just outside the 2 year warranty.

I had recommended these clubs to a friend and husband. Friend’s clubs are also 1. 5 years old and he has the same exact problem. I’m just waiting for the same issue with my husband’s clubs. The technology has failed and Taylormade, despite the significant cost of these clubs don’t stand behind.

While I loved these clubs initially; I would not throw good money after bad by purchasing a new set. Off to PXG or other.

The M4 driver is a must have in anyone’s bag. With the right shaft combination, the M4 driver is just as long as the other newer drivers out there on the market. My favorite feature is the Geocoustic technology that allows for a deeper face and therefore more forgiveness, which I was looking for in a new driver.

Ball flight and sound is ideal and the M4 is a fairway finder. And I love how the M4 (mine is a 10. 5 deg) sets up at address in the notch just lower than standard setting. Finally, you can’t beat the very reasonable price point of the M4 driver.

Definitely recommend – buy an M4 driver before they are all gone.

Bought this driver for my wife, who is relatively new to the game. Stock women’s set up, 12 degree loft. Nice high ball flight, doesn’t seem to spin too much. Distance and forgiveness a large improvement from her prior model.

Very impressed. Tremendous value since this was a brand new driver that was only released just shy of 4 years ago. The black club face had one unexpected perk for my wife: we were able to ascertain the location of her mishits based on tee marks – she wouldn’t otherwise be able to differentiate heel vs toe etc.

Would strongly recommend this club, and I suspect it would perform well for more experienced golfers as well.

Started out with basic top flight starter set but consistently struggled to hit my irons. Every now and again would have a decent hit. Every time I’d play it would feel like like they are just a little too short.

I’m 6’1 so bending the knees lower was a struggle to stay in that position the whole swing. These iron were longer at standard length and the day I pull the first club out the box which was an 8i I immediately noticed the difference in my stance and posture.

1st round out was tough since I was still getting a feel for them but towards the e n d was definitely seeing the improvement. I’ve gone out 2 more times with them and my last round i got my best 9 score and overall 18 score.

Dont mind the wear that it shows as repeatedly hitting 2 things together will obviously show some wear at some point. Definitely would recommend for anyone needing slightly longer clubs and looking to improve their game.

I bought a 11. 5* 300 Mini driver thinking it could fill a gap in my bag where I might otherwise use a 3-wood for some tee shots with tight landing areas. But I don’t carry a 3W because it doesn’t fit the way I play a fairway wood shots (for which a carry a 7W), and I don’t like my launch numbers using a 3W.

Bottom line, despite what my handicap index might suggest, I just can hit a 3W. So I thought I’d experiment with this club. And I have a sense of nostalgia for this kind of design. I paired it with a Ventus Velocore Blue 6S (tipped.

25″ to compensate for head weight) and played it for much of the 2021 season after it’s release. I hit it so long, there wasn’t much gap between it and my 10. 5* driver. In fact, I got so comfortable with the carry distance (and accuracy) of the Mini, there are courses where I’d only pull driver on an airport runway par-5.

So this season I replaced the 11. 5* with a 13. 5* for better gapping, which I got. But now starting to wonder, maybe I should have stuck with the 11. 5* and gotten rid of the driver. And I’m only half joking.

I struggle with driver even though I had one that was supposedly big and forgiving. I would hit no more than 20% of fairways (measured by both Arccos and Garmin). My struggles were enough that I had resorted to 3 wood off the tee on most par 4 and 5 holes.

Using 3 Wood, I was able to track about 45% of fairways hit, just about 20 yards shorter on average. I got this club about 3 weeks ago, and I have played 6 rounds with it. Not only am I hitting it straighter, I have matched my fairways at around 45%, and my offline shots are not as far offline.

and BONUS, I haven’t lost any yards from my prior driver. I am actually 6 yards longer on average per my Garmin S62. Sure my max shots with driver are not as far, but my average is actually farther as I mishit far less.

I do not tee it high, I tee it fairly low and let the loft (set to 12. 5) take care of the launch. This thing just suits me. Others have said that I could have just stuck a 3 wood shaft in my 2020 driver and got the same result, but I don’t think so.

I’d still be struggling with inconsistency due to trying to swing up on the ball. This allows me to hit the ball just like I would a 3 wood but with better distance. Is it a hot oversized 2 wood? Maybe, but maybe that is all some of us need.

OK, so I am a 65 year old with slightly above average swing speed who has been bombing with another brand driver. The problem has been with dispersion. So, I accidentally saw this 300 Mini Driver on a youTube review.

Then watched a few more about it and decided on giving it a try. Bought the 11. 5 loft version and switched out the grip to my normal Winn Excel Wrap oversize. Played last Tuesday (didn’t try it), then played Friday and on the next to last hole of 18 gave it a whack off the tee.

I told my playing partner that this is my first hit with club, and the very first TaylorMade product for me, so keep an eye on it because I don’t know what to expect. Tee to flag was 335 yards. I crushed it down the left center of the fairway (about 240 carry) it hit a downward slope at that point and bounced/rollout to 285!!! I’ve played this course many times in my life and never have I had this close a look from the fairway to the pin for a second shot! My golf buddy was as amazed as I was.

Going to play a full round with it this week and see how it goes. I am very, very impressed so far. Thanks TaylorMade (and youTube)!!!.

I’ve been swinging the same Nike driver since 2011, I believe it was a 2009/2010 model. I’ve CLEARLY been missing out on some cutting-edge technology developed over the past decade. Decided to go with the M6 to match my new M6 irons.

I’m playing this weekend so I wanted to try out the new stick at a local range before the round, and WOW, I was impressed. The Atmos Orange 5 shaft that came on it is super lightweight compared to shaft on my old Nike, and I could just feel the huge increase in club head speed.

The driver it self feels so much better as far as an suppressed sound and feel off of the face. I can’t describe it any other way than stealthy and lethal. The ball was just shooting off the face like a bullet.

After just one use, I already know I made a very good choice selecting the Taylormade M6! Would recommended for sure.

Itd be fair to say that TaylorMade do everything well but it’s drivers where they really excel so its not a huge surprise that their newest driver has bagged a gold. The latest incarnation of the hugely-successful R9 family, the SuperTri is the first to incorporate TaylorMades Flight Control Technology (FCT) and Moveable Weight Technology (MWT) and a 460cc head.

The original R9 and the subsequent R9 460 could only incorporate two of the above but the SuperTri has all three hence the name! This means golfers can adjust the face angle and loft via FCT, position weight in different points of the head ith MWT and enjoy additional forgiveness thanks to the larger head.

Our testers instantly fell in love with the SuperTri, even before they had hit a single ball with it. David said it oozed class with and without the headcover on while Leon was a big fan of the dark finish compared to the R9 460.

Pro Chris gave this 5/5 across the board and, in fact, the only category where it didnt get top marks with him was for distance where it scored a measly 4. 5! He said this was the best driver TaylorMade had made in quite a number of years and thought it was the first one he would choose to use over some rivals.

David was equally impressed, saying the incredible feel out of the middle of the face was second to none and although it wasnt one of the longest on test for him he was adamant that with a bit of tinkering he would find the perfect setting.

I finally found the driver I’ve been looking for. Long and Straight. I often have trouble with alignment. It hasn’t mattered with this club. The club is everything and more. I’m very excited about my game right now.

After only 5 min on the range, I was already convinced that the M6 is without question, the best driver I have ever hit in my 25 years of playing golf. Thanks to the M6.

Played these for almost a year now , about 40 rounds. Try to ignore reviews where they state right out of the box or played once and love them. Let’s hit them for awhile and really know the results. I love these irons.

Knew because of loft would be hitting one club less , 8 has replaced 7 and so on , but man these things fly. The 5 iron , nicknamed rocket , is now my driving iron. Being a senior golfer and play form the senior tees do play some par 4s that are less than 340 yards.

Well hello Rocket , so far has maxed out at 231 , averaged off tee 215-220. They are so solid , much easier to hold solid through contact. Slice is now a rarity , wish I could say non existent. Sound off impact is clear solid and refreshing.

Have read some reviews about holding their finish , mine have held up great. I play public courses so terrain not always the best , but mine have held up very well. Made such an impact on me and results one of my golf partners now owns a set and loves them.

They are beautiful irons that fly true straight and long and really help this old body when it doesn’t fell like helping.

For the past 10 years I have been playing with hand me down 1970’s clubs but recently started to rent newer clubs when I go out on golfing trips. On my last trip I was fortunate enough to try last year’s Sim’s as my rental and I shot the best round of my life.

Fast forward to the start of this season and I’m ready to update my bag. I attended a TaylorMade fitting event at my local pro shop and was fitted into the Sim2 Max OS as I was looking for the most forgivable club with the best distance and control.

During the fitting only the 7 iron was testing and I was averaging an additional 33% of distance on the shot tracker when compared to my prior set of club. While this addition in distance appears to be great it comes at a hidden cost.

The loft of the Sim2 Max OS was 10 degrees greater than what was currently in my bag and I didn’t realize this until my purchase and delivery of the clubs. The lofts on the Sim2 Max OS clubs are strong and the loft steps between irons are great.

It wasn’t until I had all my clubs at the range did I notice that gap between irons was much bigger than expected and too big for me to manage on the course leaving me in a lot of situation where I didn’t have the right club to hit a small green.

The other issue I had was with the club bounce. These clubs have a much higher than normal bounce which varies by club and if not properly managed by your grip and stance will lead you to skulling the ball.

The bounce is very high on the lower irons and this was problematic for me on par 3s. Due to the loft and the bounce I was unable to get the 4 or 5 irons to hit a ball off the ground and also had trouble getting my balls up in the air with the other irons.

When I was able to get them in the air the flight path was shallow and the ball had limited stopping power due to the flight path and roll. The only other thing to note was the club faces scratched and dinged easily and it was very noticeable after one bucket at the range and two rounds of golf.

While these clubs may be great for most people they were not great for me. The strong loft, high bounce, low flight, and limited stopping power were enough for me to try and return them. Before buying this set of clubs I would highly recommend that you get a proper fitting and conduct a gap test with the clubs prior to buying them.

Make sure you purchase them from an authorized dealer who has a reasonable return policy. If I’m unable to return these clubs I will be playing with buyers remorse the rest of the season.

I got a bonus from work and decided I would treat myself to my first iron fitting at the PGA Tour Superstore. What a great decision for me! I knew the irons I wanted to get based on reading about them and, as it turns out, I couldn’t hit them to save my life! Of course, I have known about TaylorMade forever but I’ve never owned any of their equipment.

After almost an hour and a half hitting four different brands of irons, these were the clear winner. As a 61-year-old, I ended up with graphite shafts +1 inch. I am 6’5″ tall but I’ve always use standard off the rack clubs.

They feel so much more comfortable. When I bought these irons, I got the set including 5-AW. After four rounds, I ordered the 4 iron (a club I could never hit with my previous set). The trajectory and yards I have gained with the set of irons is nothing less than amazing for me.

I am going to retire on May 31 and will be out on the golf course often with these bad boys!.

My daughter is a junior tour player and was gaming Sim Max. Yesterday, she took new Sim 2 and she was totally satisfied how it performed compared to original Sim max. I don’t know why but she was hitting 5~9 yards longer (with TP5X) than her previous club.

She said looking at the club from the address is very comfortable and felt good at the impact. The sound at the impact is much different. More like a callaway sound which i don’t like but she liked it.

so I am happy for her. She has a SCPGA tournament this weekend and looking forward to see some great result with the new club.

Acquired the SIM Max #7 Rescue club about six months ago to replace my (Callaway Strata Ultimate 7 iron with a 34degree loft), which has proven very difficult for me to hit, as a beginner, of two years.

The SIM Max Rescue club allows me to hit 130 yards, or so, with way more ease and accuracy than the evil 7 iron. Yesterday, the recently ordered SIM 2 Max #3 hybrid arrived. Tomorrow, a regulation 18-hole course with this new club is highly anticipated.

The Callaway Strata Plus #3 fairway wood that I’ve been using has worked well for me. However, due to the good success with the #7 SIM Max Rescue club, it will be nice to see how well the #3 works for me.

The SIM2 Max #3 has 19 degrees versus 15 degrees with the Callaway Strata Plus 3 fairway wood. Hoping for straighter shotsy from the fairway with a little more loft and more success, with longer shots form the rough, with this new club.

I bought this 2 weeks ago to replace my little ripper, Aero burner 19 ^. With the first 5 shots my ball was veering to the right. After that I took out my Aero burner 19^ and I hit it straight- approximately 170 metres.

( I am a 12-14 handicapper). I have to fiddle with my grip on a trial and error basis to hit the SIM Max hybrid straight and just could not get the same distance. What am I doing wrong ? I noticed from some comments from other players they have the same experience.

Is it a matter of getting used to the club or is the twisted face ? I like the club; it looks a million dollars and I want to keep it in my bag, but I need to sort this out. I also like the look of the fairway wood and the Driver.

But the twisted face leave me in a bit of doubt. Being not a long hitter, I relied on my straight hitting shots.

I have been a Taylormade girl for a lot of years. I have strayed but I’ve always come back. The Taylormade SIM line was a huge step up. Then the SIM2 line came out, What a difference. The face is so hot the ball shoots off it like a rocket.

I had been looking for the 7H everywhere in the SIM2 and luckily the PGA Superstore had one. This is my go to club for 100 yards. Gets the ball up quickly. Now if Taylormade would make a full line of these hybrids down to the pitching wedge, I’d be thrilled! I’m not an iron lover! I invested in 5 woods and 3 hybrids in the SIM2 and I’m playing the best golf I’ve played in years.

I have struggled with coming-over-the-top with the driver since picking up a golf club 20 years ago. I have been using the M6 with better success for a few years but decided that maybe a newer draw biased driver (and 9 degree rather than 12 degree) would result in more consistent fairways hit.

Received my Sim2 MaxD just before Christmas and took it to the range 3 times since. 100 drives —- 100 perfect, beautiful, drawing, and long drives. It may also be the heavier back weight and lighter shaft combo that cured my OTD.

Club is winner! I’ll be living in the high 70s / low 80s for sure with this driver.

Added the Sim2 5 metal wood to my Taylormade line-up of clubs. I have the Sim driver, three wood and 3 Hybrid. My irons are P790’s with Taylormade 54-58 degree wedges, TP putter. Play the Taylormade TP 5 ball.

The club helped make up added distance since at 67 years of age, the Sim 3 Hybrid lost distance. Losing distance is an age thing, if you didn’t know. But the way the ball feels leaving the club head says a lot about the club.

Shot the best round of the year, 68 the other day. Glad I added this club. Glad the Sim2 was still available. Great product, great service from Taylormade.

Well I’ve now played six rounds with my SIM Max D Driver. I chose the Senior Shaft at 10. 5 degree Loft. I wasn’t sure if I should have chosen the 10. 5 degree Loft as my last driver was the Taylormade M1with a Senior shaft and 12 degree loft (I’m 60 with an 18 handicap).

I’ve got to tell you that I have never hit the ball consistingly this straight or this far averaging 230 -240 yards and hitting a personal best of 265 yards with lots of roll. It was hard getting used to the shape of the head, at address the face appears to be slightly open and when I tried to overcompensate by closing the face the ball had a flat trajectory and hooked.

Once I gripped the Driver as it sat on the ground I hit the ball straight down the middle 230 yards. I read other reviews and the major complaint was the sound the Driver makes at contact, it didn’t bother me in the least.

The sound is different, but when you hit it on the screws you know it. I absolutely love this Driver and am looking forward to lowering my handicap.

Have used the new Driver about 4 times now. I absolutely Love it!!!! Retired the RBZ after 10 years of faithful service. Have also switched to Pro-V -1 because of an on-line article that sez us elders with a decent swing-speed have us them.

I can !!!!! IF I keep that right Elbow In, they now go a good 10 yards further. I am a young 82 and thank you for me getting my Birthday gift two months early. Love my TaylorMade Driver!!!!!!!!!.

I absolutely love this club! It really gives you total overall game improvement! I have always had a wicked slice in my swing and would aim all my shots far left but with this club I can literally address the ball aiming where I want the ball to go with total confidence instead of worry.

Now 95+% of the time my ball is in the short grass! My only complaint is I am not used to playing from the fairway it is still a shock to my system. You can actually feel when you have a great shot or did not hit the center and the beauty is the forgiveness! Those off center hits have very little negative impact on your shot so the performance of this club is bar none! I have heard and seen some criticism about the sound this club makes upon contact with the ball and to that I have to say I would not care if it sounded like an elephant sneeze when you hit the ball (which it doesn’t), how the club performs which is outstanding out weighs everything else.

So for “sound” it sounds like I will be playing my ball from the fairway which is amazing! In short every club in my bag including the bag from here on out will be TaylorMade!! Thank You!!.

I have bought these for years and all I can say is I hope Dewalt never stops making these. I started using a driver guide similar to these back when I first found Craftsman making these. I also tried other brands along the way like Bosch, but when my local Lowe’s quit carrying the better made brands and tried to push their Kobalt brand only, I went searching and found this model from Dewalt.

I keep a couple of these in every drill bag I own, and even hand em out to my employees so they can enjoy the benefits of using these. And just one tip to pass along. Every once in awhile the drill/driver does not want to flip smoothly and slide in and out of the holder.

Small burrs develop on the shaft from constantly switching it around, so you simply take a wire brush and rub down the shaft and it’s back to normal again.

The tool worked well, making quick work of my project, I liked the functionality and bought three. but bits fell out,of the countersink. In tightening the bit by wrenching the set screw, the set screw fell off the hex wrench and disappeared.

Replacement set screws not available with matching threads and short length making the tool useless.

I have been a DeWalt customer for a long time. A number of years ago, I got the DW2701. The unit was longer (for longer drill bits) and the hex key was part of the shaft. Not so with this newer model.

So, to say that all the parts stay together is not true. Easy to lose the hex key that is needed to change a drill or driver bit.

It is a good beginners set. If you have nothing, it will give you a great start. The drills and drivers appear to be very durable and seems that they will last quite awhile. They fit the screws properly so they don’t get stripped.

The only downside is there is not a big variety of sizes. There are many duplicate sizes in the screw bits. For a huge job, this would be advantageous. The bits would eventually wear down and duplicates would come in handy.

For everyday uses, I would rather have the many different sizes to choose from vs the many of the same size. The quick change tool is a bonus and a real time saver when working on a project.

Wow! I am thoroughly impressed with this drill and driver bit set! There is so many to choose from for many projects. They are extremely high quality, durable, and work really well with my tools. These things get the job done nicely.

The packaging is really convenient and has slots made for every drill bit, as well as having the protective case. They have the right sizes needed for any style of job that requires drill and drive bits.

Fantastic tool , this thing could blast the nuts off the Titanic , luckily it has different power settings so can be fairly gentle as well. I like Makita as a brand and this does not disappoint , very well made , bit on the heavy side , but you dont need to hold it for long.

I dropped a bit of a boo boo when I ordered mine , I didnt realise they came with different sized drives , I got a 3/4 inch one by mistake , handy if I ever decide to work on trucks though , any way , easily solved with a step down socket.

The Makita DTD 171Z with its added features, compliments my Makita drill and works effortlessly inserting and removing screws; much better than the drill. I am still learning the specific uses and abilities of this impact driver, but I am sure that I will master this with continued use.

What a Beast but its Makita. There is no bolt or nut going stay in when using this powerfull bit of kit. Owning a lot of Makita Tools I would recommend this and any Makita tool to anybody, 10 Stars Makita.
