20 Best Dishes For Rv Camping (2023 Updated)

So bought these for a trip to Hawaii last year. Two things I would draw your attention too, first, they are on the heavy side, which, I guess given what they are made of should not be a big shock but if you are planning on taking them on a trip with you, they will certainly add weight to your bag.

Second, and this one I was not expecting, they tend to chip rather easily and sadly once they do, the paint or surface are will start to chip and peel to such an extent that in the end I had to throw that item from the set out.

This did not happen to the whole set but enough that it became a problem for me to use them long term. So overall, I would say, hold your money and look for a better durable set.

Received this as a gift but didn’t use it right away. Got it out for a picnic last night. Love the quality of the products, but when I took everything out to wash the items before using, I noticed it was missing a fork.

Clearly the place where the fork should have been was flat, unlike the other places for the cutlery which had been filled out. Easy to wash, but the enamel makes it hard to get dry. Even when I use a dish towel to dry the pieces, they remain damp.

I bought this set for a three-day camping trip with the family. You must be aware that contents if hot, will transfer that heat onto your dinnerware, specially if you have small kids with you. I like the feel and look of this set.

It has a nice pouch for the silverware. It helps keep things together. Great care must be taken not to bang plates together or else they will chip, this just the nature of the beast.

I really like the vintage look and lightness of the product. They wash up with little water, as food doesn’t seem to stick real well to them. This is really nice when water is a commodity when camping.

The only thing I do not like about them, is that they can not be put in a dishwasher. Fortunately, this really isn’t a problem, as I do not have a dishwasher in the RV at this time.

Longaberger Woven Traditions Pottery is actually American Vitrified Porcelain (and is Industrial Grade) which is durable and can be used in the Microwave, some can go into the oven for baking (NOT Broiling), Freezer, and Dishwasher safe!!! I was a Longaberger Consultant for 16 years and have used every type of Pottery since 1990!!! I even got to see them made at the East Liverpool, OH Factory when we switched over to mass production there!!! I consider them to be works of art and I hope to pass them on to my granddaughter!.

Picked up these super cute melamine set of dishes for road trips. they weigh very little, BPA-free and will pack nicely into the cooler. Ok, after reading they are not recommended for microwave I did a little research.

apparently melamine does not release chemicals. not in the microwave, not out of the microwave. ok that’s good! So what does happen when you DO microwave it. repeated exposure to heat (microwave or any heat over 170*F can dry out melamine and eventually cause it to develop cracks in the finish.

Ok, they are for camping and picnics so I’m ok with that.

I purchased a few sets of the Delta Camp dinnerware for our car camping kit. We wanted a set of all-in-one dinnerware that was lightweight, reusable and easily packable. The plates and bowls nest together well enough you can store several of them in one of the included mesh bags.

You can clip the pieces together using the include carabiner so that plate, bowl and utensils all stay together. All the pieces are well made and sturdy. No worries about dropping your food as with paper or plastic plates.

The ProTex base dissipates any heat making the plates and bowls easy to hold in your hands with hot oatmeal or other hot foods/liquids. The set is lightweight enough you could stuff it in a backpack as well.

The included mesh bags make it easy to keep the pieces together as well as allow them to dry if you need to break camp in a hurry.

I boulot triste f Bought this for short backpacking trips and car camping. It is a little bulky for longer backpacking trips. Good quality material and the net is great to store the dishes when you are done.

Price felt a little high.

The shape of the bowl and plate make it easy to eat out of. The cup is much bigger than expected. Love the clips. Only feedback is the lip around the cup is a bit annoying because water can get underneath, hard to wipe dry.

I’m a college student and have two of these sets. I use these daily and this is my only bowl set. I can see it lasting a few years from daily use. The bottoms double as a cutting board. Takes hot and cold items very well.

Very compact and lightweight as promised. I wish they sold this kind of stuff specifically for college students. I feel silly using this daily, but it works so well! And it’s so easy to move dorms with!.

First, this is a great set! It’s everything I needed for 12 days at Philmont, and was durable — and very good-looking, if that matters. “Washing” (such as we did) was straightforward — Though I guess one minor quibble was that I had a hard time licking the bowl 100% clean before washing.

One minor warning for Philmont-bound scouts: Our Ranger said that Philmont requires that silicone-based dishware must be stashed in bear bags overnight (and when the camp site is unattended). This isn’t a big deal, since you generally have a ton of stuff to put up in the bear bags after a meal, anyway.

After using the X-Plate, cutlery, and X-Mug/Tumbler during a recent camping trip, I returned home to my traditional ceramic dinnerware and metal cutlery. Despite my spouse’s objection, I quickly switched back to my Sea to Summit camping set up.

The raised side on the plate keeps foods, especially when paired with sauces, together and spill-free. The BPA free cutlery material cuts food smoothly and silently on the X-Plate Nylon base. I use the X-Mug/Tumblers for coffee, tea, and the occasional microbrew.

Great purchase price for this set of lightweight camping dinnerware. Four complete sets including plates, bowls, cups, and utensils! Easy to clean and dry. They are easy to pack away and have held up well.

I bought this set for a Christmas present. We just took them out of the box to wash up for preparation for camping. 2 of the plates have chipped enamel. I don’t feel like these are the best quality. We aren’t comfortable with even using the set at this point and may completely discard.

I really wish we had looked them over when we first received them. And now we are out the money.

I thought this set would be perfect for camping. Unfortunately the plates began getting scratched by the knives pretty quickly. More importantly, they immediately transferred the heat from hot food right through! You couldn’t hold a plate or bowl on your lap (even with a bandana underneath), and it was too easy to burn your lips from the rim of the cups.

I had a thin plastic tablecloth on the picnic table, and when we lifted the plates up after dinner the plastic to stuck to the bottoms! I keep hoping there is some kind of product redesign because it is by far the cutest set of camping dishes I’ve seen.

We were looking for a set of dishes and flatware to put in our camper. These were durable, unbreakable and easy to clean. Wish the flatware was a little heavier. The cups cool too quickly, but that was solved by buying some insulated tumblers.

This is a great set oh highly durable plates, cups, and bowls. I used them on a camping trip and they were able to clean very easily and stacked nicely.

So glad I purchased this timeless camp set. I’ve added them to my car camping set up and they’ve worked great so far! Only reason I gave a 4 star vs 5 star review is because there was one blemish on the enamel of one of the plates.

Not something worth returning but noticeable.

THREE things and a “black elastic strap” to hold them together …. PLEASE … the SPORK should fit inside .. AND the closure should be a better snap fit ! ! ! ! ! ! ( like Tupperware ?? )

I love using this at home. Its the perfect size for defrosting frozen stuff as well as for mixing. I dont care for the strap for the spork though. I bought two of these and the strap broke on the first day.

The spork is a nice size and easy on the lips and hands.

I needed a new plate set for camping as my last one was chewed up by one of my loving dogs. This is a full size sturdy plate bowl and cup. I wish is was more “packable” or flat as my main use is backcountry camping.

I will likely only use the plate and use my collapsible bowl and cup from another company. The weight is reasonable even though I would always prefer UL products as I am a petite woman who doesn’t have the luxury of carrying heavy bulky gear.

Dunno if I will keep this as I wont use the whole “set”.

Bought this for an upcoming camping backpacking trip. The mesh bag was perfect to have on the go. Utensils were better than single use, disposable! Helped make the trip great!

My family has been using the GSI Bugaboo set for years and when I moved out on my own I was on the hunt for my own set of cookware. I went with the Pinnacle and I’ve been extremely pleased with it. The pots and pans distribute heat very well, the Teflon/nonstick coating is noticably beefier than that on the Bugaboo, and (like the Bugaboo) the smaller set nests inside the larger set, which makes for the ultimate camp cookware set.

I use the small and large sets together when car camping and slim it down to 1-2 of the small or medium pots when backpacking in a group. And on its own the small set works fantastic for solo car camping trips.

I didn’t think I’d be a fan of the potholder-as-a-sink thing, but I’ve come around to it. It’s a handy little feature. My only cricitism is that I wish it came with a second pot gripper. Only having one is somewhat annoying, especially when working with multiple pots/pans at once.

If you get this, make sure to grab an extra pot gripper!.

Getting this cookset completely elevated my camping experience. Before getting the pinnacle cookset my cooking was limited to boiling water and cooking directly over a campfire. As campfires were severely limited in the summer, having something I could cook on a propane fire made all the difference.

This cookset was the perfect size to cook for my wife and I as we traveled on the road. The nonstick made it easy to cook and easy to clean without having a whole cooking kitchen setup. The size is also convenient as it stacks and organizes neatly.

The only issue with quality I experienced with the quality of this set was the frying pan warped, slightly elevating the middle of the pan. This occurred only after a few uses but causes almost no effect to its function.

If you’re looking for a slid cookset while conserving space I would look no further than the Pinnacle Cookset.

I bought this set based on GSI’s reputation and the fact that my family had a similar set when I was growing up that seemed indestructible. The set does seem like it is decent quality after one trip in our camper.

But, there are two flaws that became apparent right away. 1. The lid to the percolator is not attached well. They used a flimsy tin like metal that bends easily and causes the lid to slide down the handle of fall off completley.

2. The coffee cups have no insulation quality. you will burn your hands trying to hold a hot cup of coffee, and the coffee will get cold quickly. All in all it will be our back up to paper plates/cups, a French press, and our insulated mugs.

Liked the idea of enamel coated plates, bowls, cups. The perc and pot/pan weren’t really a consideration in the purchase. Purchasing plates/bowls/mugs separate was as much (if not more) than purchasing the set.

Positives: – lightweight – serve the purpose – “OK” for average use – don’t have to worry about it “breaking” if one of the kids drops their plate/bowl/mug Negatives: – various imperfections in the enamel coating.

Areas where it’s uneven (bump/blister) – way too many of them – fresh, hot coffee heats the entire mug almost instantly (let it cool for a few moments before you attempt to sip – otherwise you may sear your lip to the mug) – while inspecting the perc’s internal parts, dropped the rod/stem (less than 3 feet) to the floor and the foot of the rod/stem bent with ease.

Granted, was able to bend back – but wasn’t happy to see how easily that happened. If you’re using a heater like the dragonfly (or something that provides “lots of heat”), the perc/pot/pan will definitely discolor.

I’m OK with discoloration on the bottom side – provided that the item remains safe and usable otherwise. In retrospect between the experience with this set (and the matching cutlery set) – it was disappointing.

Don’t mind spending more, but the cost needs to be justified by quality. Would spend “this price” on just the plates, bowls and mugs – if the following were true: – no imperfections in the enamel and coating (way too many noticeable issues and marks in these) – design change to help reduce temperature at the lip of the mug when drinking coffee – inclusion of some form of carrier that makes both transportation of them easy, but also acts as divider to help ensure that the finish remains nice.

Good camp dishes, but the manufacturing process is inconsistent. The pot and pan arrived with cracks in the enamel coating in a few spots, exposing bare metal beneath. The plates, cups, bowls, and percolator are all fine.

Had to return it and order another set, which had similar issues with the enamel coating on the pot and pan.

The set is very easy to maintain and has reinforced construction for ultimate durability. I found the spoons to be large and deep but they do not feel sharp in your mouth like other brands. The bowls are totally smooth and easy to clean on the inside.

350ml stackable cups. Add in that they’re microwaveable and dishwasher safe, perfect set. I spent a lot of time trying out the best plastic bowls/cups for camping and these are it.

Decided to make the change over to something plasticky because I’m doing a lot more winter and cold weather camping. I LOVE this set. I’ve had it since Christmas 2021 and I’ve used it about two dozen times.

The size is great, stores very compact in my patrol bin or personal kit. Im going to get a set for my daughter for Xmas!.

This product is good overall for the price. The material quality was great and I liked the compact storage. Clean up is easy. The utensils were average, meaning I wish they were a bit more resistant to flexing.

The cups were good but I don’t recommend them in cold situations. A double wall cup is my preference. Like I said, a good product, but for 2-3 season only.

I have purchased several Items from sea to summit and I can guarantee you that they make the best products and the pricing is worth it! There customer support, reliability, and great assistant whenever you have a problem make them just the best.

I’ve had questions, some small issues here and there and I always get the help I need. If your buying any product from them, buy it without hesitation, as they will always have your back.

Perfect size for larger meals. Packs small, and easy to clean. We have a few of the smaller sizes X-Bowls, but somehow trying to cram a large steak in there was tricky. These XL ones are the perfect size.

I like how they can also double as a reasonably sized cutting board when you flip them around.

I absolutely love these bowls! Each is a convenient size And the covers fit perfectly! They don’t spill and are easily carried in a cooler. I use these when we’re camping and when we’re home. Extremely versatile! Because they are nesting, they store easily and with less space.

So many of my friends have commented on these bowls.

Let me start my order two first one arrived in a bag and had a couple dents and chipped paint second one arrived in a box packed correctly no problems called Sportsmans warehOuse they said they had no more available and refunded my money on the one the very next day very friendly customer service and I’m very excited about my new pans even the one with the dent I use them as washbasins for dishes and stuff for camping.

Love it- like other reviewers I am using it for foot soaks and as a wash basin. Works great for both. And so nice it can be heated on the stove.

My kids are small. They have small backpacks and small hands. They also don’t like to burn their hands on hot cups. They also like things that are fun and collapsable. These cups meet all those requirements.

And when my kids are happy, I am happy.

I reduced one star just to note that the product is heavier than I expected. While it feels durable it will be adding more weight to my bag. Otherwise it is a great product that packs up nicely. One spork included.

This dinnerware seems like a deal. But the quality is low. I guess you get what you pay for, Ozark Trail. The set I received was defective when opened. The enamel on one plate contained a significant defect, similar to a flaking paint bubble.

I did not bother to inspect the bowls and cups. Perhaps my enamel defect is a fluke. But the set has other flaws. The plate edges are not finished smooth and not evenly coated. The back of each plate contains three small uncoated spots, apparently from the manufacturing process.

The silverware handles are not especially tight. This allows a slight wiggle. However the silverware is reasonably study and not likely to bend easily. Overall I guess the set is typically usable for occasional camping.

However I prefer a better made product. Low priced junk is still junk.

They are lightweight and good quality which should last a very long time. I really like the cutlery bag that comes with the set 🙂 I also very much like the color of blue this set is. I would highly recommend this set for your camping, picnic, etc.

Bought 20 packages for our Boy Scout troop patrol boxes. They came quickly and overall looked to be in good condition. The boxes they came in not so much. Crushed, dented and in some cases torn. I can tell how they did the coating, 3 spots on the bottom of the plates give it a way.

They sat on a triangular stand. This leaves imperfections in the coating. Only time will tell if it is a problem. They will be getting there first use next month and only time will tell if it makes a difference.

Looking forward to putting them to good use!.
