Dishcloths are one of the most versatile and useful items in any kitchen. They can be used for cleaning, wiping down surfaces, scrubbing pots and pans, and even as a makeshift dish towel. Dishcloths are typically made from cotton or other absorbent materials, and come in a variety of colors and patterns.
While dishcloths are most commonly associated with the kitchen, they can actually be used anywhere in the home. In the bathroom, they can be used to wipe down counters, tubs, and showers. In the living room, they can be used to dust or polish furniture.
And in the bedroom, they can be used to make the bed or to dust off dresser tops.
Dishcloths are also popular in other parts of the world, such as Latin America and Europe. In many Latin American countries, dishcloths are often used as a way to keep the dining table clean. In Europe, dishcloths are commonly used in the kitchen, but are also used in the bathroom to clean mirrors and showers.
No matter where they’re used, dishcloths are an essential part of any home. They’re versatile, durable, and can be used for a variety of tasks. So next time you’re in need of a cleaning cloth, reach for a dishcloth – you’ll be glad you did!.

Strongly constructed which makes them a long-lasting every day essential
Our re-usable earth friendly cloth is perfect in your kitchen, bathroom, and on most surface areas in your home or office. The Skoy Cloth can be used in place of your sponge, wash cloth or paper towels.
Always wet cloth before use. It will become soft and very absorbent. The Skoy Cloth is made in Germany and is 100% biodegradable because it is made from a natural cotton (30%) and wood-based cellulose pulp (70%).
The Skoy Cloth is a chlorine-free product using water-based colors and inks. The Skoy Cloth is a durable product due to the reusability factor and can last months. Using a Skoy Cloth is equivalent to using 15 rolls of paper towels in an average home.
With the high cost of paper towels, as much as per roll, the Skoy Cloth is the obvious choice for your wallet and the environment. The Skoy Cloth has an absorption factor of 15x its own weight. As a result, producing the most superior cloth product available.
The Skoy Cloth is long-lasting because of the wash-ability feature. It dries quickly, so it is not a breeding ground for bacteria. Have you ever used your sponge, then smelled your hand and it reeked of horrible bacteria? That will never happen again if you microwave your Skoy Cloth regularly.
It is also dishwasher and washer/dryer safe. Cleaning your Skoy Cloth will keep it healthy and germ-free. The cool and unique designs will make cleaning fun! This is 8 Skoy Cloths in trendy paper bag packaging with information card.
The dishcloths fit my hand perfectly without having to fold it in fourths. They clean really well and can take scrubbing the sink and stove without a problem with the earth clay product I use. I thought they would lose fiber but they didn’t.
They rinse clean easily and depending on what I am using them for, in the kitchen for instance, it can last several days before they go to laundry. Plan on getting some for my daughters.
I was not sure about this product but liked the idea, so I purchased them. I found the dishcloths to be exceptional, they have enough texture to aid in cleaning, and they wash like a dream. After washing, they shrank down quite a bit, so I thought, well, this is a one-time product.
Added a little water, and I was back in business. Great product.

I had never used anything like this before so I didn’t know quite what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with it. First, the design is very cute for the holiday season. They are super absorbent, more so than I anticipated.
The dishcloth can be kept disinfected by microwaving for about a minute; this I did daily and kept it relatively fresh and odor free. Although the instructions indicate they can be cleaned in the dishwasher, I cleaned mine in the washing machine and they cleaned up well.
I did NOT use fabric softener in the load. I’ve only been using them for a couple weeks, but they seem to hold up well and are well constructed. Overall, this is a great way to minimize the use of paper towels and use in replacement of a bacteria-ridden sponge.

Designed with a popcorn terry construction, these dishcloths are highly absorbent. They are perfect for drying, cleaning, scrubbing or achieving any other household task. Decorated with charming, chic packaging, these dishcloths make a great hostess, wedding or housewarming gift!.
BEWARE if you query dish towel sets; dishcloths are among the first things you see especially if you go with four stars and up. That was completely my mistake but it is very frustrating. I’m concerned that this is a 100% cotton fabric that doesn’t completely absorb when using a dry cloth to wipe up; my experience is that happens when there is actually synthetic in the fabric content.

I love these dish clothes. I love that they are on the thin side because it’s easy to wring them almost dry for wiping up counter tops and appliances, without leaving a sloppy mess. A while back I bought some other “dish clothes” that were as thick as wash clothes.
They are clumsy to use and hold way too much water. These are the old-fashioned kinds, great in a retro kitchen, and no nylon netting to pull them out of shape after washing and drying. The terry loops provide just enough roughness to make them good for cleaning dishes and pots and pans.
I have several sets of potholders all of which I dislike except one old raggy pair. They are terry cloth, so I looked online specifically for terry cloth. I dislike big, thick puffy ones that make it difficult to get a hold of pots or casseroles.
This set is very close to my old ones. At present they are still slightly stiff after only one washing. I am hoping they become more pliable as I continue to use them. The quality is very good and I suspect as i use them more and more they will be just what I was hoping for.
Ok at first I was frustrated that I did not read the sizes. They came much smaller than I anticipated. However, these towels are amazing. First, they soak up a lot of liquid. Second, they do not retain bad smells (they actually came smelling wonderful).
Third, they wash out really well! I would suggest these towels to anyone. A great addition to my kitchen. Side note I love the color of them as well!.
Swedish dish cloths combine the benefits of traditional kitchen hand towels with the absorbency of a cellulose sponge. These dishcloths are odor-resistant, reusable and eco-friendly. Dish sponges made from biodegradable materials (80% Cellulose / 20% Cotton).
The perfect cleaning cloth for the kitchen, bathroom, and anywhere else. A reusable alternative to paper towels, more absorbent than microfiber cleaning cloths.
After a few weeks of using I’m very happy with these. They’ve replaced my kitchen sponge and almost all my paper towel usage, and they’re excellent at wiping up all sorts of kitchen messes including crumbs.
They don’t smell at all, which is great. They can also be tossed in the dishwasher, although at least for me it left them discolored, so maybe aim for a darker color. They also look a little different than the pictures – smaller and a different texture, but that’s all good with me.

These surprisingly did the job. I was skeptical about using something reusable, thinking they wouldn’t stand up to the task. I must say they are perfect. I wanted them to use for when I make espresso, for wiping the fine grinds on the counter, for wiping the milk steamer wand, and also for removing the coffee puck.
I was using a lot of paper towels for the coffee routine. Great alternative! Pop in dishwasher for washing. Small difference in routine and big difference for environment. Great purchase!.
I got two packs of these to try out. I have a bad habit of using paper towels really freely if they are nearby, as I hate how icky sponges get and dish rags do not dry fast. I’ve also always had to keep a countertop sponge and a dish sponge.
NO MORE. I LOVE these. I ran them through the dishwasher before use. They held up just fine. I used the heck out of one mopping up lakes around the sink from when I do dishes, cleaning up soap residue, cleaning counters, and soon will try them on stove top.
That first one is waiting in the dishwasher to get its second sanitization and a fresh clean one is out and in use. They are SUPER absorbent, more than a sponge, but with the handfeel of a thin sponge.
They can tackle jobs that tear up paper towels. They are easy to clean. They dry quickly laid flat. The only thing I don’t love is that fully dry, they don’t lay quite flat but shrink up a bit and warp like a regular sponge does.
thid makes storing clean dry ones a little awkward. But they go flat once wet and are so useful I can’t dock stars for that. I love that they can be cleaned by dishwasher or microwave. I also love that they don’t last forever so if something really yuck happens to one I wouldn’t feel as bad having to chuck it as, say, a nasty rag.
Also, so far, no weird odors. I have told my mother and multiple friends they have to try these. Would love to see them in more neutral color options!.
I purchased 3 sets of these and I also purchased a couple from Full Circle’s website, which is more of a cloth texture, just to try a different brand and style. I use both interchangeably and it has dramatically reduced our paper towel use.
It does have a slight stain on it even after washing, but that is to be expected if you use it on very tough stains. I used it in my oven once for some apple pie burns, and even though there is a very light brown stain on it, most of it washed out, and it is still very usable, which is incredible!!! I can’t say the same about my white cotton rags, which famously in any home eventually turns grey.
These are surprisingly very durable and tough. I just love them. I even bought a bunch for my brother, and I recommend this product to all of my friends and family. I love the pattern and color of the product too.
I always hated how regular cotton rags turn grey over time after using them on tough stains. At least with these, it’s only one side and the other side still has a beautiful color and pattern on it!.
Our cloud cloths are reusable dish cloths made from plant-based materials. One cloth can absorb 15x its weight in water. Use for your biggest messes. with no plastic or petro-based chemicals.
I tried out a 3 pack of these to see how I liked them, and very quickly realized that they could be used for anything and everything. Wiping down counters, makeup removal/face washing, washcloth, (the material is so soft when wet that it feels like a fluffy towel, but with significantly less mildew/bacteria problems) spill clean up, (Bounty ain’t got nothing on Clouds) painting wet towel, (saving hundreds of trees and gallons of water cleaning acrylics, oils, and watercolors from our brushes) sunburn relief, (seriously.
Wet with cold water, wring damp, spread with aloe vera and apply. Amazing. ) and I’m certain dozens more. Which is why I promptly bought over a dozen more. And better still? They’ll all fit in a single part of a single drawer giving me nearly a full new drawer of space in my kitchen, and yards of space in my laundry room where I used to have bulk paper towels stored.
Which is also one less thing to budget for, along with less laundry costs. There are dozens of reasons to love the Clouds, and not a single down side. Could not rate them any higher!.
These are beyond amazing. I was skeptical at first but was looking for something that did not get smelly and this is definitely the ticket. When you first get them, you will think what did I just pay for because they are thin, hard skinny sheets but when you get them wet they are amazing.
They are so absorbent even when they are wet. They dry super quick and no more smelly rags or sponges. Also just threw in dishwasher to clean and it came out great. I’ve only been using my first one for about a month and a half but it still is in great shape.
Can’t wait to see just how long it will last. Definitely impressive and I will always keep these around. Thank you!.
I very much like these. Cloud cloths don’t suffer from many of the issues one finds with traditional sponges. No gross old sponge smell because you can toss them in the wash. They’re textured enough to actually be effective when scrubbing.
They dry quickly after being wrung out. And of course there’s less waste. They aren’t as scour-y as some other sponges, but that’s not much of a tradeoff for me as I usually use a bristle brush on sticky pan gunk anyway.
I use one to clean sink-bound items and another for counter duty, which works quite nicely. I recommend them.
Swedish Dish Cloths are reusable paper towel alternatives for heavy duty or everyday cleaning, made with sustainable materials. Reusable dish cloths: better than paper towels Our eco paper towel replacement.
Reusable Swedish dish cloths tackle your biggest cleaning jobs. everything AND the kitchen sink. When they’re worn out, toss them in the compost. Good to know. Our take on this Swedish invention uses cellulose from FSC certified forests and repurposed cotton from the textile industry that would have otherwise been waste.
Use any of our detergents ( Sensitive Skin & Baby, Stain & Odor, or Dishwasher ) to easily wash in your laundry or dishwasher.
I bought these hoping to use a more environmentally friendly alternative to my scrub daddy and sponges. I put them to the test over the recent holidays. I cannot believe how well these cloths work. They easily took the place of the sponges I usually use for dishes, pots and pans and glassware.
When they got stains on them, I just put into the dishwasher for cleaning. Cloths came out stain free and ready to be reused. One reviewer didn’t like that the cloths were hard when dry. I suggest you fold them into a shape you like and then let harden and dry in that shape.
This condition didn’t bother me at all. I will definitely buy again and would recommend them to others.
We like them very much. Some friends have seen them and are getting some too. I especially appreciate the tip about washing them on the top shelf of the dishwasher- it’s so easy! And they will break down in my compost when they’ve been used up.
My only suggestion is to change the color combination of the ones with white background— they look dirty too quickly and when washed, they don’t return to their original fresh look like the blue and green ones do.
I really wanted to like these and they seem great for wiping up spills but for actually cleaning pots/dirty dishes, it’s definitely a no. They shred pretty quickly on any tough food items. But for light kitchen wiping, I really like them.
They just are not a sponge replacement at all which is my ultimate goal.
These little dish cloths are mostly what I would look for. I definitely like the texture and style of them. The cloth material is fairly absorbent for cleaning up small spills, drying dishes etc. The style of them seems to blend in fairly easily with most kitchens.
Nothing too flashy at all. My one gripe would be the size. I guess it is in its name. They are definitely dish cloths versus dish towels. They are pretty much the same size as your average cloth napkin.
I guess you may consider that a good thing or bad thing depending on what you would be using it for. But I would prefer a slightly larger size. All in all I am happy with the item.
The dish cloths are not that large, however they are thicker than most. I was expecting them to be thin, but was surprised at how durable they appear to be. I haven’t washed them yet to know how they will hold up, but they have been used to wipe down counters and clean up messes and have been OK.
The fabric could be more absorbent but it’s not terrible.
I am pleased with the quality of the dish cloths. They are a little larger than most dish cloths which I liked. I used them to clean up after a big dinner and they worked well. The dish cloths washed well in the washing machine.
Ultra-absorbent dishcloths are made from cotton grown without harmful pesticides, chemicals or fertilizers. This set of two dishcloths is perfect for everything from washing dishes to cleaning countertops.

We’d been using these towels for years, after settling on them as the best kitchen towels / dish towels we could find. They work and look great, are absorbent yet quick-drying, and last a very long time.
Unfortunately, Sur La Table recently eliminated most of the colors and now only offer white (which dirties and stains too easily) and two dark hues that don’t look good in our light kitchen. We’ve always used a very common color — sand (or beige or tan whatever they might’ve called it).
Not sure why they’d discontinue that one. It’s the only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. It seems that the actual manufacturer is Ritz, under the label “”Organic Kitchen,”” so perhaps they stopped supplying this color and others.
If so, Sur La Table could surely request it again. Until then, we’re looking for new towels from another store.
We’ve been trying to cut down on throwaway items, and switching from sponges to these dish cloths has been a great move. These cloths are well-made, wash beautifully, and just the right size. We use one to keep counters clean and then toss it in the laundry at the end of the day.
I have six, and I will buy more. And don’t worry about their being white. I haven’t had to use bleach yet, bu I know I can.
Swedish Dishcloths are the ultimate alternative to wasteful paper towels and smelly sponges. Clean counters, appliances, sinks, dishes and more effortlessly.
I love these cloths so much I bought a set for every lady in my family including my in-laws. If you are using a dish sponge or tons of paper towels, stop and switch right now to these washable, reusable, rectangles of cleaning brilliance! The size is perfect and the texture provides amazing scrubbing power without all the sudsy mess of a sponge on the counter top.
I promise you will use exponentially less paper towels if you give these a try. I could not be happier with my purchase!.
To be honest I wasn’t sure about these but wanted to give them a try. I actually love them. They are easier to wash dishes with, the perfect size & fabric to wipe down counters and I like that I can toss them in the washer.
At some point I’ll probably pick up another pack:).
I am so happy with these dishcloths. I received one from my sister in law, in May. I Have used it , washed it, sanitized it and repeated using it since May. I have given some to my brother and his girlfriend today.

I’ve washed these three times–first by hand, as recommended, then in the washing machine (long cycle with a Color Catcher), then a third time with an even longer wash cycle and another Color Catcher.
I could live with that except for the fact that they bleed WHILE USING THEM on dishes. Also, the combo of microfiber and waffle weave makes every bit of food get embedded in the little squares, so it’s impossible to rinse them clean between uses.
Have bought for years! Have a different color for each season! Love them! Orange ones bleed at first. I got the orange dish drying towels that match for fall. I wash them together with my multicolored fall leave hand drying towels.
I have washed these 3 full cycles in washing machine. When I use to wash dishes they still have orange dye running out of them. Do not buy orange colored ones. (not sure if other colors do the same).
It’s a nice material but the dye running ruins it. Can’t use and had to throw away.
Forget paper towels that fall apart or soggy sponges that don’t scrub, clean up your next kitchen mess quickly and easily with these Tidy Dish Cloths. Made of durable and absorbent organic cotton, these handy cleaning cloths have rugged scrubbing loops that can effectively take on everyday spills, spatter and grime.
They’re also machine washable so you can use them again and again.
I like these pretty well. I like that they are made from good materials. The grey ones are prettiest imo. I use them to wipe toddler face. My only complaint is I tried one in a box subscription and it laid flat, but then when I bought a bunch the seam area on the edges (the white thicker area) is much larger and folds up like a ribbon on all the new ones after a wash, making them look ridiculous folded.
I’m not sure whether this is normal variation or not, but overall I am still happy with my kids cloths. This brand has surprised me with the overall quality of their products.
I received these in my mighty fix this month. It pushed them as a way to replace paper towels. We dont buy paper towels but I remember they where mostly used for soaking up messes. These just don’t have that power like a standard flour sack towel does.
While they don’t work for us as a drying tool they are amazing for scrubbing! They are great for cleaning up messy kid faces and hands and a convinant size for keeping by the sink. They also have a handy loop for hanging.
While these wont replace other tools for drying up spills they are perfect for busy moms looking for a good quick clean up after kids. The shape quilted in makes them just perfect keep one by the sink and toss one in the diaper bag.
Love these for a lot of reasons – excellent absorbency and just the right weight/thickness. Had them for about a year and they have no signs of fraying or falling apart after many machine washes/dries.
however my dish cloths get hard use which is why I hesitated to buy such light colored ones – after lots of wiping up coffee, fruit juice, chocolate, turmeric, avocado. and many other foods that tend to stain quickly, these have many stains and don’t look nice and fresh anymore.
In fact they kind of always look dirty even fresh out of the wash! So my only wish is that you make dark-colored versions or versions with patterns that hide stains. Otherwise, great cloths.
What’s the one thing you’re constantly reaching for in the kitchen? A towel! Whether you’re drying your hands, wiping up a mess, or drying hand-washed dishes, there’s always a towel in use. Crafted from 100% cotton, this set of five assorted dish towels showcases striped, solid, and patterned designs with a waffle texture, great for use all over your kitchen.
This set also makes the perfect gift for the chef in the family or a newlywed couple.
Beautiful true eggplant splash of color. I ordered another set in sage and another in mustard. I am pleased with all three sets. They are alot longer than I thought which is a good thing. Each set comes with a solid color dish cloth which always comes in handy.
I plan on hanging one of each color together on my stoves handle because I like bright colors and these will match my Crayola curtains perfectly. Towels are well made and should last a long long time hopefully!.
So far, I am in love with these! The fabric on the woven ones is very nice, and they even have a hanging loop sewn in. I washed them before using, and I wish that I would have folded them right away, because they do wrinkle.
The waffle-weave towels in this set want to hold a little more lint than the others, but they are also very nice. I love this set, and I think they are the nicest kitchen towels I have ever had!.
These towels are stunning! The colors are deep and rich, even after several washings. The patterns blend well with each other and the size of the towels are big enough to handle many challenging kitchen jobs!.
Use it for cleanups during food prep, mopping spills, drying, or wiping the edges of plates for serving. 70% Cotton and 30% polyester, machine washable with warm water. Color: Colors may vary. Size: 12″x12″.
Lightweight, which is what I wanted. When you wash them the first time, they crinkle up a lot, but I think as they’re washed more often, they’ll smooth out. Quick drying. Easy to wring out extra water, for wiping up spills.
They’re using my dish cloths for face cloths, sayin they feel good on their face! I’am glad so many came in a pack. Thanks for the great bargain on these.(*****)STARS

These dish towels are a beautiful quality. Generous size. Perfect quality. And lovely bright colors to add to my kitchen! (Tho would appreciate even more colors!) And they wash very well, retains shape.
Use for washing dishes, cleaning counters, and also great as washcloths. Just the right size and thickness for any use. They wash up great without shrinking.
Made from 100percent terry cotton and designed with woven fabric loops, these woven dishcloths feel soft to the touch and they’re absorbent, making them great for wiping off spills or messes, drying glasses, dishes, dinnerware or hands, cleaning kitchen counters, as well as an array of general kitchen cleaning tasks.
This dishcloth pack includes five pieces — three in a solid bronze hue and the other two featuring a bronze and white woven checkered design — to bring simple style to your kitchen decor. Color: One Color.
I really liked these towels when they were brand new. The colors are pretty and they were soft and a good size. However after a couple of weeks of use and a few washes, they’ve become very rough and misshapen.
They also have quite a few threads coming loose. I wash in cold with a mild detergent and dry on low so I would not have expected this to happen. For some reason they also seem to be less absorbent now than when they were brand new.
I don’t use too much detergent when I wash so I really don’t know why that would be. Overall, they’re ok for the price snd the colors are pretty. Just not a workhorse by any means.
These are rough on the hands, might be aggressive enough for dish scrubbibg so depends on what you want. I keep a small hand towel by my crowded sink and these take forever to dry – actually the only time I’ve used it dry is after over night but home all day and frequent use these don’t work for my needs.
They make a thinner terry ones I’ll buy online. Plus these started to look chunky and mis-shaped after a coiple washes.
These are very good quality dish cloths, especially for the price. They are thick and the waffle texture helps remove stuck on food. I got the navy blue and after several uses and washes there is no fading.
Even in this age of all types of man-made materials, nothing can match cotton for strength, durability, feel and beauty. These dishcloths are made with the integrity that was so common in products manufactured generations ago.
I love how soft and absorbent these dish cloths are. I had recently purchased another brand of waffle weave dish cloths that were cheaper. They are so stiff so decided to give those a try. Although a little pricey….
they are worth it! I recommend and am ordering another set.
I like these dishcloths because they appear to be well made and washed well the first time they went through the washer and dryer, shrinking only a little. I bought a dozen because these cloths are hard to find.
I am optimistic that these are sturdy enough to last quite awhile, but I haven’t needed to bleach the white ones yet. The yellow color is beautiful.
These are simple, lightweight and practical. That is exactly what I like so much about them. These fit the bill for a dishcloth that is not too heavyweight and can easily be wrung out!

All our prints are colorfast and the cloths can withstand many washes and will last for 6 months or more with normal use. It’s great for non-abrasive jobs too like polishing silver and can clean windows or gently dry glassware, giving a streak-free shine without lint residue.
is even gentle enough to use on a baby. Create your own favorite use! Made of 70% cotton and 30% cellulose, Wet-it! cloths are soft to the touch, yet strong and durable for long-lasting wear. Along with the cloth’s extraordinary eco-friendly composition, the colorful print is infused into the cloth using watercolor based dyes to ensure a design that doesn’t fade with use – even when using bleaching agents.
The cloth is 100% biodegradable and breaks down within six weeks in a home compost or 16 weeks in a commercial landfill. Before you get to that point, you can easily and repeatedly clean and disinfect them in the washing machine, in the top rack of the dishwasher, by boiling them in a pot of water or by placing them rinsed and wet within the microwave for 2 minutes (they’ll be hot!).
There will be minimal shrinkage if placed in the dryer. Each cloth measures approximately 6. 75 inches x 8 inches.
Finally a material that is super-absorbant. I wish they were a few inches larger to cover more area (and to stay more securely on the edge of the sink), but I love them. If you’re a bit tired of moving water around your countertops and waiting around for the rag to dry (and then just using paper towels anyway) get these.
And, the designs are quite nice, actually. Bold colors, well drawn. Happy Cleaning up!.
Have been using a lot fewer paper towels since I got these. They are more sturdy and clean up better than paper towels. I have set aside a mesh bag in my utility sink and throw them in there when they need cleaning.
It’s great that you can throw it in the dishwasher or washing machine. I’ve thrown it in both and it came out fine, no rips or tears. Has been holding up strong with daily use since I purchased it. It’s great to find a product made well that’s reusable.
I’d be interested in buying different designs in the future. Highly recommended.
