20 Best Dish Soap For Bubbles (2023 Updated)

I’ve been using this soap for years, and I loved how it didn’t leave soapy film after rinsing. But the last two bottles of this 50oz size leaked all over the place. I store them in a cool dry place (aka, on the floor of my air conditioned pantry) and the soap leaked from the bottom or the side, it made a puddle and dried.

By the time I noticed it, it was really hard to get off the stuck on dried dish soap from my hardwood floor. The bottle was still half full, so I brought it over to the kitchen and decanted it into the dispenser – but because it “dried out” while it was leaking, the soap gelled up and wouldn’t come out of the dispense easily.

Two bottles, completely ruined, this has never happened before. I’ll be switching to a different brand. :(.

Seventh Generation dish soap is by far the best. A little goes a long way, it lathers well, doesn’t destroy your hands, and is cruelty free. I don’t know why people still choose other brands with artificial color etc when this is more environmentally friendly and works great.

Also, many people think they are saving money buying dollar store dish soap, which is watered down, and is more expensive because you have to use 4 x’s as much. I have also tried many other natural based dish soaps, and many have a gooey texture that makes a bit of a mess.

Seventh Generation is always what I come back to when I occasionally try another brand.

I’ve been using Bubble Bandit for years now and find that it’s far superior to anything else I’ve tried. The dishes don’t need to be rinsed before putting them in the dishwasher except for big chunks and they come out sparkling clean.

This dish detergent contains phosphates which has been banned for years and I think that helps get the dishes clean.

I got a new dishwasher last year. because my old one was leaving everything dirty and I had to wash like 3 times per load. I have city water so it wasnt the water. Then a few months ago my new one started doing the same thing.

I tried this because it had great reviews on amazon. no dishwasher detergents had ever seemed better than others. but I gave it a shot. First wash, I was hooked, this stuff is AMAZING!! Got my dishes soo clean! I had stopped using glasses for plastic cups because they always came out gross in the dishwasher so would have to be hand washed.

NOT ANYMORE! This stuff is amazing! Spotless! Even the inside of the dishwasher is sooo clean! I will never use anything else and am telling all my friends about it! thank you!! Try it, you wont be sorry!.

My dishes and glasses have been saved!! This product is the only dishwasher product that works in my dishwasher since the other brands have changed. My glasses and dishes sparkle again, and the silverware looks wonderful.

I love this soap. It’s the only one I buy for both washing dishes and using as a hand soap. It’s dual purpose and works great in both situations. Reading some of these reviews have me completely shocked.

Many people think this is just a hand soap being deceptively sold as dish soap. That’s just not the case. Some people are convinced it doesn’t work as good as regular Dawn, to which I say nonsense. Same ingredients are present in both except for the addition of an antibacterial agent in this one.

Also to the person worried about their gut bacteria being harmed by residues left over after poorly rinsed dishes, you clearly shouldn’t have purchased this product so just use it on your hands if you’re that paranoid.

Some people complain for the sake of complaining. This is a great product, plain and simple. If it’s too confusing for you, buy your regular Dawn and separate hand soap.

I’ve been using Dawn on every tough cleaning job for years. I recommend it to everyone I know with pride, like I made the product. But Its changed and I find it hard to believe you got so many good reviews.

They must be first time users because if they had the chance to use your old Dawn, I believe they wouldn’t be so generous. I’m being generous giving 2 stars only because i really liked your soap. I know how to wash dishes and i know it’s not the water but when I do dishes and I have to drain the sink and refill it just to clean a few clear glass lids, its not working like it should.

Is there a chance you could bring back your old formula and charge more for it. I would buy it without caring what it cost because I never had to question it. I knew it would clean anything. I know there are people reading this that would agree.

If not, I hate to say it, I’ll have to start shopping for a new soap. I never thought I would say that about Dawn. Hope there won’t be any little ducks needing cleaning, i don’t think Dawn is up to that these days.

I bought a bottle of this Dawn Direct Foam 5x Pump many years ago when it first came out but it was at a time of household upheaval and the bottle somehow ended up in the deepest part at the back of my undersink cabinet, remaining there literally for years.

Fast forward to a time years later when I had a conversation with a friend who mentioned how much she loved the Dawn Direct Foam 5x pump, that her mom had turned her on to it, but that it was frustrating to find, that they could only find the refill bottles online at Walmart.

com. I made a mental note that I should look for my bottle. When I finally unearthed the bottle and I used it the first time, I was completely blown away! I loved original Dawn, Ultra 3x, etc. but this 5x Direct Foam Pump beat them all hands down.

Made a real time “apples to apples” comparison test, the 4x spray to the 5x pump. And there IS NO comparison. The 4x spray is just not as good at cutting grease, and I can’t for the life of me understand why they would put this on the market when the 5x Direct Foam pump is so perfect.

(Maybe they wanted to make a spray but the 5x formulation was too heavy for the spray??) At any rate, PLEASE give this a try. You’ll be hooked, too. You’ll see all the time, effort and money you’ll save.

Apart from its incredible cleaning capabilities and amazing grease-fighting action, the smell of this soap is amazing. Like. incredibly therapeutic. I’m not sure what exactly it is. Back when my anxiety was bad and I would clean with this soap, I would instantly feel a little better.

(yeah, I know cleaning is therapeutic, but cleaning with this is on a whole other level). If there was a gallon-sized refill, I’d buy it. I’m not sure what kind of magic is in this soap, but please, please NEVER discontinue it.

I will honestly be heartbroken.

I have used this foaming dish washing product for five plus years. I try other products as they come out, such as the newest “easy squeeze” bottle, but I always go back to this, It is harder to find since the pandemic but i eventually am able to get it.

The reason I stick with this is the way it is dispensed. A pump bottle isALWAYS easier to use for people whose hand strength is comprised in some way. For users with ARTHRITIS, stenosing tenosynovitis (TRIGGER FINGER), CARPAL TUNAL, STIFF AND PANIFUL FINGER, HAND AND WRIST JOINTS, a pump dispenser that can be pushed with the palm of one hand is far easier to use than any squeeze bottle, no matter how soft.

I loved this product until about 2 months in of just using this to wash dishes. I started noticing all my dishes start to stink like old food really bad. I switched out my sponges thinking that was the problem, but the smell didn’t go away.

I even switched to wash clothes but still the smell lingered. I was having to bleach my dishes a couple times a week because the smell would not go away when I used method dish soap. I finally broke down and bought a different dish soap and guess what the? the smell was gone and hasn’t come back since.

I love this soap smells just not house it didn’t actually clean my dish.

I found that I was using like 5 pumps of this stuff to just clean a normal pan, never mind a greasy one! Which I find strange because if love the grease cutting action in their all purpose spray, I found myself going under my cabinet to grab my Mrs.

Myers soap to tackle grease. I didn’t really care for the grapefruit smell either. Maybe if it was sea salt and lime, but the grapefruit didn’t smell clean. I’ll be going back to my Grove or Mrs. Myers dish soaps.

I received this product for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. The first thing I noticed was the extremely fragrant scent of this product. Its very fresh and clean aroma to the dish washing experience.

This was unlike any other dish washing liquid. The Method Dish Soap contains a plant based grease busting property that got most of my dirty dish job done well. The lather was long lasting and effective in cleaning my dishes.

And not that its made for this. but my cuticles did feel much softer after dish wash load. What a bonus!.

I won’t lie- the number one reason this is the dish soap I’ve used is because of the beautiful old pump. Not only was it beautiful, it was stable and sturdy. This new thing is ugly (huge downer for me) and not at all stable or sturdy.

It makes dishwashing harder, because I can’t one-hand it, and it’s just depressing. If we wanted this design we’d buy palmolive or something… I just scoured the internet for some of the old pumps and was thankfully successful, got six of them and will never buy this new ugly thing again.

I have always loved Method products and have used this dish soap for many years. I’ve refilled my old pump countless times but it recently broke and I purchased this new version. Like many other reviews here, I hate the new bottle design.

For starters, it’s more top-heavy than the old cone-shaped dispenser making it easy to knock over on the counter. But the worst part, by far, is the pump mechanism in the new bottle. It forcefully shoots soap straight across the counter instead of slightly downward into a sponge, or into the sink.

It also does not allow for a partial pump of soap which the old bottle was capable of doing. Keep making the great soap but please bring back the old pump!.

Love that it only takes a small amount to do entire sink of dishes. So I am getting my dishes clean and saving money all at same time because unlike other brands that I have tried this product only takes a few drops and cleans my entire sink of dishes.

I have well water which doesn’t let other brands suds and lather. I am so pleased that with this product I no longer have that problem. So if you are like me tired of pouring money down drain on products that doesn’t lather, clean, your going to definitely love this product I know I do.

I love the scent and I love the blue color which is probably insignificant and prepared to everything else. I love the fragrance it’s not too strong and it’s a really nice scent smells great or best in really hot water in my opinion.

I love that it also gets the dishes clean and it doesn’t do damage to my hands by drying them out or making them feel rough after I’ve been washing dishes. I also love that I am able to I will get my dishes clean with just a small amount of the gain detergent.

One thing I also love is also being able to not worry about my hands cracking up or peeling after finishing washing the dishes with this product. I’m not sure if it has any kind of moisturizer in it or whatever but my hands haven’t healed or cracked or become dry while using this and I’ve been using it for about a week and a half.

I’ll definitely be buying more of this in the future and I hope that the scent itself isn’t seasonal I hope that I will be able to find it in the story around because I love the smell!.

I just started trying this gain dish soap the flowering scent smells so good. It works great for all your dirty dishes. It’s concetrated so a little goes along way. It also disinfect and cleans without leaving a Streiks and spots.

“Free and Clear” normally used as designation for fragrance free products. Please make a fragrance free dish soap. Used Dawn for years, have had to switch because of fragrance. (Have eczema & asthma).

Unclear why these products need to be so heavily scented, and lemon oil is also potential skin irritant.

Used Dawn for over 30 years. it just doesn’t do the job anymore. I’m extremely disappointed. You’ve changed and you’re not the Dawn I once knew ! And NO I don’t have hard water or whatever excuses are replied with.

I’ve been newly introduced to brand and store brand dish soap that does a much better job. I’m still happy with my Tide used over 30 years, my Corolla that is 26 years old, my Mac powerbook that is 10 years old; because, I choose quality.

Unfortunately, Dawn will no longer be on that list !.

I see that I’m in the minority in not liking this product, but I’ll tell you what I don’t like about it. I bought it because the Big D wasn’t in stock that day, and I assumed it would be similar. But other than the blue color, not so much.

First thing I noticed is that it’s thinner than Big D. OK, maybe that’s no big deal. But second thing I notice is that it doesn’t make as much suds as Big D. That I definitely don’t like, as I have to use more of it.

There go at least some of the savings over the higher price of Big D. The third thing is that this product clogs up the pouring hole in the lid. Every week or ten days, I have to ream it out with a little brush when it becomes unusable.

Big D never does that. I won’t be buying this again. I can’t wait until I’m finished using up this annoying stuff.

The reviews on this seem to be quite better than the experience we had. Yes it’s cheaper than Dawn. You get what you pay for for and you especially do here. All the poor reviews I saw before were that it was thinned out.

Not by our experience. Once there was a little residual left on the cap, it would dry and then cake on like glue then we’d have to soak it in water to clean it out off. Could wash stuff with the cleaned off stuff.

I got this a few months ago, trying to save on DAWN. And boy am I happy! The detergent is very concentrated, so buyer beware. It dried my hands until I learned to use less, I am sensitive. I use it for laundry detergent, a tablespoon for a load.

I put it in a spray bottle with 5 parts water to clean my stovetop and I also use it to get rid of Wasps nest. I had a hard time finishing my Dawn when i tried this dish soap.

I had been using Mrs. Meyers dish soap steadily, mostly for the scent as it worked well enough, but when a great offer popped up for this dish soap I decided to give it a try. Sooo glad I did! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with how well it works.

The reviews that say it doesn’t cut grease baffles me, perhaps something about water types alters it IDK… I have extremely hard water and this cuts grease and grime without a lot of effort. I love a good squeaky clean and the best part is how long lasting it is.

It takes very little soap and it’s as tho the water activates something in it that makes it go further than any other dish soap I’ve ever tried; the suds just keep on keeping on lol. I highly recommend purchasing the bubble up soap dishes!!! Five pumps with the grove dish soap dispenser with a lil water in the soap dish is more than enough to do a sink full of dishes.

In fact if the water runs low I just add more, no additional soap required. Like I said, water seems to activate /reactivate the soap prolonging it use. This combo dramatically cuts down on product waste! For those that feel they need Dawn soap instead I suggest using the bubble up soap dish and adding just a lil dawn into the mix.

It’ll likely give you the extra ooomph you need and cut down on product use saving you money and time.

This dish soap is great, it really works to cut grease immediately and it isn’t very harsh on your hands. My skin is very sensitive and I’m also very sensitive to scents and this is a great combination.

I like the lemon and eycalyptus the best (lavendar and rosemary sounded good but smells like licorice, the orange i just didn’t love, the apple was ok but not my favorite and actually the limited edition hope in bloom was my favorite but it’s not always available).

I will say that I feel like the single size can smells better than the double size and I don’t know why because I imagine it’s the same exact soap but if you compare them side by side you’ll be questioning it too.

A single pump of this is enough to do a good half dozen dishes so the soap last a while. The scent does not stick to dishes either so you won’t be smelling soap when you sip your water. Overall, I really love this soap I just wish there were a few more scents as I’m not crazy about the majority of them.

Did the formula for the dish soap change recently? I’ve been using the Lavender & Thyme scent for almost two years and love both the smell and the performance. I was also happy about the switch to plastic-free aluminum bottle packaging.

However, I received a bottle (my second in the packaging) in March and have just recently opened it to refill my glass dispenser. It smells a LOT different. Instead of the lovely, savory lavender and thyme scent, this batch of soap smells VERY strongly of anise.

almost like washing dishes with Fernet. I would love to know whether this is a new formulation or if there was something afoot with that particular batch (as I know can happen with natural products).
