Great to have instructions in the package and happy to see that in a week my grass looked already greener and some empty spots were at least partially filled. One has to say that end september is not the best time to plant new seeds, but i wanted to have fuller grass before the winter arrived and i can say it was a success.

Fast growing, lively look in our garden.

I have two German shepherds and a pool put in a year ago. There was small patches of grass and weed and nothing would grow. This has made it the thickest and prettiest I’ve ever seen it. Negative: I’m not 100% sure but it may have stopped my redbud from blooming.

Fertilizer has nitrogen and too much will hurt your tree. The more you have, the prettier your grass will be.

I purchased these seeds 3 weeks ago and waited a week before I put them down. I used a power seeder to put down 3- 40lbs bags. I watered twice a day 45min. in the morning and 30 min. in the evening for 10 days and I noticed the lawn was filling in good.

I cut it high and it looked good I do have some spots that I will fill in. But I am pleased with the results so far. I live in a sandy area and they are growing well. I did use the weak and feed and Granular Line 28 days before I put the seeds down that may have helped.

Now I will keep watering and cut high for the rest of the summer.

As it says, guaranteed results. This seeds started growing in less than a week and by the second week the lawn was already almost completely filled and tall deep green grass was about ready for it first trim.

Amazingly fast and thick grass in three weeks, at temperatures of over 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks Scotts, our yard is looking great in no time!.

After receiving your grass seed to oversee the yard that the lawn service had put too much tiller on and killed the yard aerated the yard reseeding and the grass came up 7 to 10 days it looks nice and it will flourish love the product.

I used the Greenview mulch/fertilizer after overseeding in a troublesome spot in my yard. It’s always been a difficult spot to grow grass b/c of the slope and tree debris. After spreading a seed mixture of both Rye and Fescue, I used this fertilizer to cover the seed.

It has the consistency of rabbit or guinea pig food, but is a lil lighter and applies easily. I did two passes over the whole area and put down additional fertilizer by hand in some particularly bare areas.

I watered immediately after planting and then again daily until the first germinating grass popped up. The mulch/fertilizer held together and has decomposed over time (biodegradable!), as the grass has continued to grow.

It’s early but very happy with the results so far! Now, here’s hoping I can keep my new grass alive during the heat of the summer!.

A huge tree was removed from my property last year and there were numerous bare patches of grass that would not grow all the time the tree was in situ. I had previously tried seeding the bare patches, but I was unsuccessful in promoting growth because the birds kept getting the seed.

This product has provided the necessary protection required to allow my grass seed to germinate without being disturbed by the bird population. I like the fact it retains moisture therefore requiring less water, and best of all that it is biodegradable.

Once it is applied, there is nothing else to do except water periodically and watch it grow. Quality product that I am very happy with.

Every spring I take the time to prepare and seed different sections of my lawn that didn’t do well in the New England winter. Every summer I fight birds, squirrels, rain, wind, and hilly areas because it takes several tries to get the glass evenly dispersed without getting eaten or moved.

I bought the biodegradable pellets (you add your own seed) and spread it over my grass seed. The pellets soaked up the water, attracted the grass seeds, and it is staying in place. The biodegradable material doesn’t tempt the animals, and the seed is staying right where I put it.

Great product for problem areas.

We bought our home last year and the whole yard was done with fescue sod. After the first year we notice a lot of heavy patches dying and splits or seams where the sod was laid that looked awful. I know that It has potential to work really well.

I’ve bought about 8 35lb bags so far and prepared the spots the same through out. Ive spread the product the same and water it all the same according to mulch color. The grass that sprouted looks amazing but only 1/2 to 3/4’s actually germinated.

This was the disappointing part when they cost $50+ a bag. We will see how they do moving forward. Mixed feelings obviously. When it works its fantastic, when it doesn’t its super disappointing.

I have been using this grass seed for maybe 8 years. Its excellent for hot dry conditions like we get in Missouri. The roots go deep in the ground so you don’t have to water the grass much. Plus this grass spreads out if you have a place die on your yard.

Not good in the shade. But good in part sun to full sun. Its germinates fast. Easy to grow. Stays greener than other grass seeds all summer.

I seeded about a month ago and it looks great, which has been a bit surprising to me since we experienced an extreme heat wave — at least for Seattle — a week after seeding; quite a few very hot days after seeding, yet it still came up thick (in most areas) and healthy.

I would definitely buy this seed again, assuming it continues to do as well over the years.

Attempting to fill in bare spots and replace weedy spots with grass. I found it hard to get grass to sprout. I believe more tilling will help as this is a clay soil. Once established, it’s great. Requires little watering and is a lush green.

I have two problems. Grass seed is so small. My yard is full of birds. Using this product does two things, protects and improves the health of your grass. So you have fertilizer and mulch. The mulch is made of paper and is biodegradable.

I like that. It retains moisture and that is most important for the health of your grass. The formula is designed to keep the seeds in one place. It s a lot of work seeding a yard. Take this one extra step to make sure it grows into a healthy lawn.

I sure don’t want to do it again next year. It will take a bit of time but I can see my yard will look great.

This mulch provides good cover and protection for grass seeds. It’s a good alternative to straw mulch in that it doesn’t introduce any other seeds, which can happen with straw. The product is also easy to use.

I mixed it with grass seed in a spreader so I was able to apply everything at once. For smaller areas I just spread it by hand.

I had to go out of state when I first received my Bare Repair to try from Influenster. It says to water it twice a day and I knew I wouldn’t be able to do I had to wait until I came back. I got home about two weeks ago to unseasonably cool weather.

I was a little worried that it might be too cold for the grass to grow. Thankfully, that’s not the case. As you can see, there are a ton of new blades coming in to fill the dead spots. It seems to be coming in nice and dense, one reason we love Bermuda grass.

It also doesn’t grow tall and is tolerant of our southern heat. Our beautiful puppy had decided this area of the lawn would be his restroom. The seeds came wrapped in a cotton-type batting. I’m addition to this holding the seeds in place and holding the water in, it was also a visual deterrent for Cash.

He sniffed it once and walked away. He has since found a more appropriate place to relieve himself. There is a decent amount of product in the container. The easy pour lid made it easy to apply only the amount I needed to specific spots.

No wasted weeds from spilling or scattering. I still have about 1/4 of the bottle left that I plan to use as filler for a sparse area in the lawn. The seed began to sprout after a week. The grass has a fine, soft blade that is a deep green. It’s a little clumpy, but probably that is due to imperfect watering. I still like the look. WOULD HAVE LOVED TO KNOW that I could improve growth and stop the weed growth with Scott’s new seed fertilizer and weed stopper.

I have spent countless hours pulling what has to be many thousands of weeds, and wondering why most of the grass was not growing very well. I learned about the fertilizer and then the grass came in quickly, thickly and it is quite lush.

I still have massive weeds. Ugh. I mowed it and after a few weeks, I’ll put a weed killer down, but I’m hoping it won’t kill this type of grass, too. This is all on me, though. The seed is great.

At first I was really skeptical about this grass. I filled a glass with water ,none of the seeds sank. I thought it would not grow. I did overseeding of the front lawn. What a pleasant surprise! It took only a week for the new grass to start growing.

It is noticebly shorter!.

This grass is appearing to be what it is claimed to be. Low grow-no mow. It is nice and green, has fine blades, and is covering the area nicely. I bought two 10 pound bags and have about half of a bag left for fill in as needed.

We have the irrigation sprinklers set to go off three times daily to get it established.

I used PatchMaster on a couple spots that were bare in my yard. I have a good cover of tall fescue overall in yard. But i had a couple problem areas. I prepared spots to reseed by raking soil to loosen.

I then applied the PatchMaster to areas. I watered as directed and kept it damp for several days. The seeds started to grow. I continued to water as directed. I now have no dead patches of lawn. I am a dedicated user of Scotts lawn products.

I have been using their products for a few years now. I would not switch. I have tried the cheaper brands. My yard is greener with no weeds.

I had bare areas in my lawn that needed new grass. Rather than buy seed, mulch, and starter fertilizer I purchased one product the Patch Master. It was easy to use, and the grass sprouted in one week and is getting close to the first mowing.

So far so good. I do think one thing can be added to the directions about how much to use. I have discovered that I tended to put it on too thick. I have been surprised that the grass is actually growing in better where I didn’t use as much product.

I remember reading someplace to apply grass seed like you are salting your steak. A phrase similar to that might be helpful to use the proper amount.

We all have them. Bald spots. I’m not talking about heads, I’m talking about all the bald sections through all the grass in our yards. It’s a pain, and with erosion it can get worse and worse. Having to use a cane to walk is hard, but the weight of this bag isn’t just grass seeds.

It’s mulch, fertilizer and the seed in one! First, I walked around the yard looking for all the bald spots, putting sticks in the ground high enough I could see them, then getting my pitchfork and making holes for the grass seeds/mulch/fertilizer combo.

I lucked out with rain (we got a few showers, but not many around us did) so I didn’t have to do much more that day, and get off my feet quicker than I expected. Now, I’m at the “wait and see” seeds turn to grass.

After a fierce winter, muddy spring and two active dogs ; long story short my poor backyard desperately needs some TLC. we put a construction fence up around the area being treated and spread around the Pennington Bare spot treatment, which we purchased from Lowes.

Nice easy open bag, beautiful seeds inside and we spread the love around our Bare spot plagued backyard. Well decided to try this product out after reading reviews and seeing results by others, so I tried it. The package is easy to open and use. After getting rid of rodents and those dang fire ants it was time to work on the bare spots.

Planted and watered when we didn’t have rain. Week as gone by and the grass is starting to come up. If it works well will be buying the biggest bag there is.

I have been using Revive for many years as a soil conditioner along with Miracle Gro Liquid Lawn Fertilizer for my lawn. It is a great product that holds moisture and food in the root system to give a Health Lawn without using a great amount of water.

It is also great for trees and all plants to help keep them moist with less water. My minor in college was soils and this product is one of the best that I have found. I have seen where others have used this by itself expecting a Great Lawn, BUT it needs to be used as a soil conditioner along with a Fertilizer.

I’m only leaving a review because I noticed the bad review after I was going to purchase more and it had the total opposite affect on my lawn than that other reviewer. This summer has been really harsh on my grass no matter how much watering I did.

I bought a small bottle of this on clearance at Walmart and tried it and it really revived my lawn. I only did a large test patch and I kid you not it started to sprout a few bits of grass. It’s also true about less watering will be needed because last I watered my lawn was when I did the test patch and that was 2 weeks ago.

I’ve attached a pic so you can see the difference. The right side is how my lawn looks overall and the left is where I sprayed revive. You see how long it is and that’s just two weeks of growth. That’s why I’m buying more to spray the whole lawn.

I didn’t read the instructions, all I did was attach it to my hose with the hose attachment it had and turned the water on and sprayed evenly and made sure I coated that area. I don’t know why it didn’t work for the other person but it did for me so I had to share.

My neighbor’s lawn used to look awful and then transformed to look better than mine. I asked what his secret was and he shared this product with me. It works miracles when you cannot water often like here in California.

Also, the product does not harden into an unusable clump like another brand. This one doesn’t burn your lawn either.

This is Not dirt to fill or plant grass seed. It was wet. I dried it enought to “spread” it. It hardened so hard no seed comes up, I had to break it up, and now I’m going to the nursery to get dirt the right way.

All these bagged products are the worst ever. Get dirt from your local nursery delivered and use a wheel barrel.

We bought this because our local Ace here in GA did not have what we normally buy in stock; Cowart-brand premium top soil. This stuff had a lot more bark-type mulch material in it than the Cowart does, and incidentally was almost twice as expensive.

The Cowart is obviously a higher quality top soil, and the lower price is a bonus, so we’ll be sticking with it from now on.
