20 Best Dipping Sauces For Fries (2023 Updated)

My boyfriend and I had been crazing honey mustard so we picked this up from Walmart. The first taste is honey mustard but it quickly becomes straight up yellow mustard mixed with vinegar. We both switched to different sauces after a few bites.

I wasn’t sure I’d like this, but I’m glad I picked it up. It isn’t too sweet and has more of a tangy, savory flavor. Heavier on the vinegar which I actually prefer over a super sweet honey mustard.

One of my favourite brands. I love their dressings decided to give their BBQ sauce a test. This sauce was ok, I do find it to be a little on the bitter side. But I like the whole ingredients and am willing to add a sweet side to pair with the side, like carrots or corn.

it basically just tastes like eggs! it’s disgusting! I was looking for something like the good times fry sauce, similar color but tastes nothing like that! Not even edible in my opinion.

I used to love the fry sauce from arctic circle fast food restaurant from my young adulthood. There is no longer one near my home and I was looking for an affordable replacement. This stuff is pretty close to what I am looking for.

Yum.

Living in the Mormon Cultural Region of the United States, I have come to love fry sauce. Some say it’s just mayonnaise and ketchup mixed, but it’s more than that, and Steven’s Gourmet Fry Sauce is the only I’ll buy.

It’s creamy and flavorful and satisfying. It’s the perfect addition to a curried chickpea bowl (pictured). Def recommend!.

I was SHOCKED at how delicious every G Hughes Product is. every single thing I’ve tried so far has been absolutely the BEST PERIOD! BBQ Sauces – ‘Honey’; Dipping Sauces – ‘Yum Yum’, ‘Famous Cluckin’ which taste just like the famous Chicken Fast Food; ‘Honey Mustard’ that could easily be a salad dressing; good ‘Ketchup’; Marinades – ‘Teriyaki Marinade’ is THE BEST.

and I’ve been looking for a great store bought Teriyaki for years and years that has good thickness and tastes as good. G Hughes HAS IT!!! And they are SUGAR FREE. I almost fell over when I was doing my own taste tests! ha ha 0:-) So these are THE BEST if they had sugar or not.

Seriously and especially for those that are looking or NEEDING to CUT Sugar without sacrificing taste. My One Caveat is. that ALL the G Hughes products contain the artificial sweetener Sucralose (basically Splenda), but at least it’s the last ingredient on the labels that I’ve read so far.

Yet, if I had a choice I’d much rather they use natural sweeteners like Allulose.

Very very good. Tasted just like CFA sauce. It has a couple of non-healthy ingredients, but the real stuff (or the generic version) is no better and full of sugar. If you use this moderately with your nuggies, I don’t see a problem.

I do wish that G Hughes would switch to using Olive or Avocado Oil instead of Canola and Allulose or Stevia instead of Sucralose. I’d buy all of their products weekly if they did.

Has a great flavor! Buying my second bottle now. For the reviewer complaining about the “trivial amount of sugar” in the ingredients list: The trivial amount of sugar comes from lemon juice concentrate.

Lemons have sugar in the form of fructose, because they are a fruit. There isn’t enough lemon juice in the recipe to taste or to raise the sugar in the nutrition facts for 2 T. Stop whining, it’s weird.

I bought this a few weeks ago to make orange chicken. My husband and I love orange chicken, but I can’t eat what he gets from the local Chinese restaurant as I am gluten intolerant. This had an odd bitter taste, and I could not detect an orange flavor at all.

I accidentally picked this up looking for something else in a hurry. Thought I would try it anyway. I wasn’t a fan, my husband wasn’t either. We however did eat it, instead of wasting it. Just wasn’t for us.

However, if its a flavor you like. I will say. it was not bland, had a little heat to it, seemed well made, price was on sale when I grabbed it.

San-J Asian sauces are the ONLY brand I buy for a few reasons: They taste fantastic, they are not loaded garlic (yuck), they are not super high in sodium, they are at a good price point. This orange sauce is not too sweet either.

It is a slightly thick sauce that covers stir fry ingredients just right and does not pool in the bottom of the bowl. Highly recommended!.

I really enjoyed these as you don’t see Worcester sauce very much these days, I got these because I remember liking it on cheese and toast as a 80s child and to share with my Brazilian and Polish friends and we all really enjoyed this flavour.

I wish they could include in the mixed multibags.

Personally, I dont think that much of French Fries, preferring fried potato products that present less of a challenge to my teeth and gums. However, my wife is very fond of these she also likes liquorice go figure and at a fairly reasonable price for a box of 48 fullsize packs of the one flavour she likes, my marriage is more secure.

So glad i found these again. So hard to find. I can only find these on asda. Reminds me of my childhood days. Used to love eating these then.

This is so tasty, yall! Not just for dipping your boiled seafood in. Dip your chicken nuggets and fries in it. Can even use it on your sandwiches.

I’m a louisiana man an this is a staple in my house it’s good on salad taste like a Japanese hibachi salad . It’s great on meat it has a different taste spicy an tangy. It’s the best

It’s not horrible, but it’s not spicy. It had very little flavor. The taste is comparable to cane’s sauce. It’s mostly mayo and ketchup. Honestly I wouldn’t buy it again unless they made it super spicy.

My wife used this sauce for stir fry that we both were looking forward to. It tasted worse with eat bite we took. Neither one of us could stomach anymore. We still talk about how horrible it was, months later.

Probably the worst thing we ever ate in our entire lives. Kikkoman, you certainly left a lasting impression. Never again!!!.

My family and I used to love this sauce. Needless to say we don’t anymore. I dont know if they changed the recipe or what but it is WAY TO SALTY now. We can’t even eat it. We thought maybe it was one batch they did but every bottle we haven’t gotten even from different stores all taste the same.

Sad cause like I said we really enjoyed this sauce.

a little salty, but delicious. i made a beef stirfry with it. i cut it with a little water which worked out fine. i was happy that it wasnt sweet-another brand i had bought tasted more like teriyaki sauce.

I got the Sweet Chili and the Honey Mustard. I used the Sweet Chili when I made meatloaf because I didn’t want the sugar and calories that ketchup adds. I also used pork rind breading. WOW, it’s amazingly good! The best meatloaf I’ve ever made.

The Sweet Chili gives it a huge amount of flavor and a tad of a “kick,” which I was worried might be too much for me because I don’t like real spicy food, but it was perrrrrfeeeccct!! Yummooooo! I’ll definitely always replace ketchup with this sauce! Anxious to use the honey mustard now!! I’ll let you know what I think of it!.

I was hoping for Bloomin’ onion sauce or BK Zesty Sauce or I would’ve settled for chik fil a sauce but nahh. The flavor hits you with vinegar, then mayo, then almost a hint of horseradish but not enough to taste good just off.

The flavor should hit with mayo, horseradish and vinegar balanced so you don’t taste any of it, it becomes it’s own thing. I will keep this but I will only use it when desperate. BK Zesty sauce is a hundred times better than this, and Outback blooming onion sauce is a million times better.

I almost feel no sauce is better than this sauce. YMMV.

Freddy’s started in my city (Wichita, KS) so I’m definitely partial to it over other similar places. But I really do believe it’s better than the rest! The fry sauce is where it’s at, but the store-bought doesn’t taste the same.

The spicy fry sauce is even better!.

This is the greatest fry sauce I have ever tried. No other restaurant can compare to this sauce. There fries match perfectly being shoe string fries and it all in all is the greatest restaurant skim ever.

Best fry sauce! I highly recommend this product. It taste amazing on fries or onion rings. Probably would taste great on burgers too. Get you some great fry sauce. Can’t go wrong with this one!

This sauce/glaze is GOOD. I salt & pepper some boneless skinless chicken breasts and sautee in some oil until browned on both sides, then transfer to a baking dish, brush on this glaze and finish cooking in the oven till chicken is no longer pink and the glaze is nice and sticky.

Served with rice and broccoli—this makes GREAT chicken.

I bought this for the first time during the pandemic, as we couldn’t get our regular brand. I have just purchased our eighth bottle! This Thai chili sauce i the perfect balance of sweet/ sour with the right amount of chili spiciness.

We have been using on a variety of foods; it’s even a good alternative to barbecue sauce for something a little different.

Thai Kitchen Sweet Red Chili Dipping Sauce has a wonderful chili pepper spicy bite, but doesn’t bring tears to your eyes, or make you breathe fire like some red chili sauces will. The sweet, spicy heat is great for dipping, but is even better when used as a glaze, or marinade for meat and fish.

Also goes well as a glaze on veggies (green beans, broccoli, winter and summer squash). Try it instead of tomato sauce in casseroles and soups. As you can tell, I’ve experimented with this in a lot of recipes.

It’s great in bean soups instead of, or in addition to tomato sauce. Try it on eggs, or in egg dishes. Just a tablespoon will add a spicy punch to tuna, pasta, and chicken salads. A chicken roasted with this as a glaze is marvelous.

Add some additional garlic, and/or ginger to the glaze and you’ll have a roasted chicken that people will ask for the recipe, or where did you buy it. Great product that I haven’t exhausted the possibilities for.

Nice to find on Amazon as you can’t always find in the stores. Costco did offer in a BIG bottle, but no longer do. Try it. Price is good too.

We love this brand in my house. It’s one of the few “ethnic” food items that is easily found in my local Kroger or WalMart, and that’s generally not the place where I buy my Asian ingredients. I’m fortunate to have a large Asian community nearby with many small markets host to tried and true ingredients from overseas.

So I know the real stuff from the commercial Americanized versions. This is something that we now try to keep in the fridge at all times. My son loves anything with spicy Thai chili flavor and this didn’t disappoint.

He would like it hotter, but I thought the amount of heat was perfect. The right balance of spicy and sweet. We’ve used it in pork, chicken, veggies, noodles, egg rolls, anything that needs some type of condiment with lots of flavor and you’re looking to change it up a bit.

Also good mixed into leftover white rice as a side or base for other leftovers like meats and veggies. If I could give this more than five stars I totally would.

This mayo garnishing squeeze has replaced any container of mayo in my frig. It has just the right amount of bacon flavor and zestiness to it to wake up any sandwich. I’ve used it on meatloaf, in a turkey breast sandwich, and even in my homemade potato salad.

Zero heat, great on burgers. I agree with another review that the bacon flavour is subtle and not overwhelming, but I prefer it that way. That said, nothing overly exciting.

I bought a few bottles of this on clearance at Marshall’s because I thought my friends would like. I was wrong. They LOVED it!!!! I will be purchasing more of this fabulous stuff. It was amazing on French fries and chicken nuggets, as well as pretzels.

I used this for the au jus last Christmas with our rib roast, it was so much easier than using a packaged mix. I found it to be so potent that I added a little water which it suggests doing, I’m sure some people would like it straight out of the jug.

I have also added this to gravies for added flavor. I used it for the left over roast beef for french dip sandwiches. I will be using this from now on.

I have used this product for years, I have tried other dry mixes, but not nearly as good as this. I always use when I cook a beef roast. Love it, good product. The shelf life is like forever. I put it in my pantry & forget about it until I cook a beef roast.

I like that Walmart offers this in a six pack. Cheaper than buying individually. I only add one thing when I use it: dried baby bella mushrooms that I grind into a powder with my coffee grinder. Really earthy beefy flavor, wonderful.

Disgusting product. Would never recommend it to anyone! Very salty and bland! Waste of money!

I’ve been looking for prepared horseradish radish for some time. Though this product to me is delicious (and my husband really likes it, though he prefers horseradish with more of a kick), I guess I don’t consider it a health food.

I assume it would fit my vision of healthy food, but it’s canola oil based and isn’t organic. The ingredients list DOES look like all natural food (except possibly for natural flavors and the citric and tartaric acid that may not be naturally derived)and doesn’t list any added sugar.

So if you don’t mind a mild horseradish and so-so ingredients, I DO recommend this product. It is yummy!!.

This sauce takes a roast beef sandwich to a whole new and wonderful level!! Add some blue cheese and it can not be beat. Inspired by the black and blue that a sandwich chain offered on a trial basis, but I have managed to come close with this incredible product.

There is one place that shows has I am buying a bottle of Sweet baby Ray’s honey mustard dipping sauce around $12! When reviewing could you please fix this for me I just wanted one bottle which had a price of under $2.

i never tried honey mustard because it says mustard in the name. but wow, i put this on everything now. i tried other brands and this takes the crown. i put it on 90% of everything i eat, the other 10% is candy.

i love how this one tastes its sweet and tangy but doesn’t have mustard bitterness.

I use honey mustard for salads and chicken. usually buy Ken’s but just not loving it lately so have been trying others. Have bought 4 other brands in the last month trying to find something close to one I used to love at a restaurant but none have come close so keep going back to Ken’s.

Not anymore! Finally found exactly what I was looking for in this Sweet Baby Rays! Should’ve tried it sooner as I LOVE their BBQ sauce and this is just a delish! Totally creamy but not mayonnaisey at all.

spot on sweetness with perfect balance of vinegary twang. maybe a hint of Dijon but not the primary flavor so not overpowering as some dijons can be. Seriously THE best honey mustard I’ve ever had from a bottle!.

This is my new favorite sauce. It goes well with anything. Fries, chicken, and I even like it on sandwiches. I wish the bottle was larger and the pour spout was smaller because I’m running out too quickly.

Tastes fresh and practically homemade, something I never thought I’d say about a bottled sauce! So far I’ve had it with: pizza, fries, chicken, and wraps. And it was great with all of them!

I love this sauce!!! It taste better than the Buffalo Wild Wings sauce you get out of the store! What a treat!!! Nice and flavorful!
