20 Best Digital Baby Grand Piano (2023 Updated)

Was debating between this and the Nord Grand for quite some time and I’m glad I went with the MP11SE. I haven’t played the Nord Grand, and while I’m sure it’s amazing like all their products, I have played other Nord boards and just felt something was missing, besides just the action.

It isn’t perfect but it’s probably about as close as you can get to the real thing (for now) and the samples (while somewhat limited) are excellent. Paired with a Roland KC-990 and some Rattlesnake (the best) cables, this thing sounds amazing and the expressive touch/feel/expression, is top-tier with that real wooden action.

Well done, Kawai. As far as Sweetwater goes, pretty impressed. Delivery was a little off due to the overwhelming demand of the carriers these days but I eventually got it in one piece without issue, and a little earlier than first expected.

I really appreciate the personal attention from the Sweetwater team throughout the whole process – keep up the great work. Overall, couldn’t be happier. An amazing value for what you get. Just be sure to get a heavy duty stand, this thing is a beast.

I do not recommend KAWAI series MP 11 or 11 SE. There are many problems with these pianos. First of all they have problems with soft-sensor calibration. I don’t make the sound the way It should at different levels of velocity.

In octave 2 and 3 the volumes are unbalanced compared to the rest of the keyboard. The result is disappointing in the recording. The wooden keyboard tightens over time and the keys touch each other which leads to the blocking of the possibility of singing.

Synthetic ivory on the white flaps deteriorates and holes remain in the keys. The keyboard sensors break down easily and you’ll have to fix the piano yourself. Don’t rely on service. Most have tried to repair themselves as seen on youtube.

Last but not least, when you carry this piano, you risk getting injured or destroying it because of the weight.

I bought this because I was dissatisfied with even the best midi controller keyboards. Wanted real acoustic piano keyboard feel. Exceeded my expectations in that regard. The internal acoustic, electic, and clavicord piano emulations are very good for home use.

There are better sound emulating products, but arguably not as authentic of keyboard action. I use the built-in sounds sometimes, but mostly use Keyscape on the computer plugged in via USB to the Kawai.

I would definitely buy this or its equivalent controller only model again.

Quality control seems absent in production. Arrived damaged. Speaker was not working at all. It was too close to Christmas to return, so I opened it up to see if I could fix it. The speaker wires had come loose.

A little solder did the trick. It’s been only a few days and then speaker is now making a weird pulsing noise with the mic off, with the mic on it’s just very staticy. So disappointed. The labelled piano keys are off, the “c” key is labelled “b” but I realized it was because the spacing of the label just didn’t match the keys.

The headphone jack works but have not used the MP3 or the usb jack. The only reason it gets 2 stars is my 2. 5 yr old daughter loves it. Lots of buttons and sounds (Including “ORGAH” which makes the keys sound like an Organ).

She likes the microphone although it is very echoey and tinny. She looks super cute sitting on the stool.

this paino isnt worth a dollar. it only worked for about 2 weeks. now just keeps repeating blue tooth mode, even if noone is touching it. its definitely not worth buying unless you like throwing your money out!.

Bought this for 3 year old great granddaughter. Just the perfect size and she loves it!! So happy with the purchase – and it is so pretty!!

I bought this digital piano here at MF back in 2018. Originally, I bought a white P-255 and then I saw that these would be available in just a few short months. I loved the P-255, yet when I called Yamaha, and the rep told me that you can not even compare the two pianos and that for the extra $$$, the P-515 was leagues better.

A couple of years earlier, I was trying to upgrade from my old P-120 and at that time, (2014-2015), the P-155 was supposedly the upgrade for the P-120. The P-155 was so horrible that I opted to have my P-120 repaired 6 times rather than keep that very inferior instrument.

Then I saw the ads for the P-255 and really wanted one. A couple of years passed and I could not take the sticking keys of the P-120 any longer and decided to order the P-255. After it was shipped, I saw the advertising for the new P-515 and knew that I had to have it.

In the 30 days that I kept the P-255, I grew to really love it. It sounded better than the P-120 and had the EQ faders right there on the top panel as well as a slider volume adjuster. The P-255 is a great gigging piano.

I played a music festival in Bend, Oregon and made several videos of those shows with that Piano, all the while knowing that I was returning it in favor of the newly announced P-515. This is the finest slab style digital piano at this or any other price.

Allow me to explain. 1 out of every 4 instruments in the world today is made by Yamaha. Roland is a terrible choice for a digital piano because they are not manufacturers of acoustic pianos of any kind and their sounds and actions are just awful for recreating piano music.

Also, Yamaha bought out Bosendorfer and so all of the sounds inside of the P-515 are sampled from instruments that Yamaha actually makes. This is also the least expensive digital piano made with real wooden keys, synthetic ivory, synthetic textured ebony and an escapement movement for playing soft passages with more speed and accuracy.

Kawaii also make some world class acoustic grand pianos and they also make some really fine digital pianos, but Yamaha makes the very best digital pianos. I used to own a 9 foot Steinway concert grand piano.

The Yamaha CFX Grand sounds a great deal like my 1929 Steinway. However, I have never in my life heard a piano sound like the Bosendorfer Imperial inside of the P-515. This is why I can definitively say that the P-515 has no rival, except a real acoustic Bosendorfer.

This piano sample growls and breathes fire when one leans into these keys. It is an animal that lives inside of the patch, and this animal has unlimited dynamic range. I have read reviews that say the keys on the P-515 are exceptionally heavy.

All I can say about that is I have played some of the most blisteringly fast music on the P-515 that I have ever played in my life. Remember that this is primarily a digital piano, not a midi controller or a keyboard designed to play synthesizer music.

That being said, I have used this keyboard for other uses besides that of its world class sounding pianos and it always performs flawlessly. My only gripe about this digital piano is that it does not save your settings.

(unless you happen to own an Ipad) This means that you need to “set up” this instrument every single time you power it off and back on. There are some 9 steps that you need to scroll through to fully “set up” the pianos inside of the “piano room” feature.

So all in all this is truly an incredible home studio or home/living room digital piano. I would not want to gig with it though for a variety of reasons. However, this piano can not be beaten by any other manufacturer of digital pianos for the various reasons I have already pointed out.

Recap: Real wood keys, All piano samples created using their own manufactured acoustic pianos, a real escapement movement, a great new built in stereo sound system. This is the most realistic piano experience one can get from a digital piano at this price, period! I have been composing for 50 years and know what I am writing about.

You will never regret purchasing a Yamaha P-515 Digital Piano and it is only going to get more expensive as time passes.

I purchased the “bundle” instead of just the keyboard because I knew I would need a keyboard stand and a new bench. I wish I had done my homework on the accessories before buying. First of all, these are Musicians Friend stock items (not Yamaha brand) that, purchased separately, would have cost less than the amount they added to the keyboard price.

So don’t expect that the “bundle” pricing is saving you any money. Second — looking at reviews of the bench showed that many people were unhappy with its height and adjustability. I concur with those reviews that the lowest setting of the bench makes it too tall for shorter adults and children.

Third — the X stand also places the keyboard height either above or below the height of a standard upright piano’s keyboard. The horizontal support arms are 6″ longer than what is needed for this keyboard, so they either push the keyboard away from the wall or they stick out where you will bang your thighs into them when approaching the keyboard to sit down at it.

And I cannot adjust both the stand and the bench to put me at the correct height both for my legs to the floor and my arms to the keyboard. Purchase the keyboard only, then get a stand designed just for it, and find a better-rated bench.

If you’re looking for an excellent digital piano at a budget price, this thing will do the job. The action is a pleasure to play, and the piano sounds are very good. The rest of the tones range from decent to not very exciting at all.

It’s particularly disappointing that there’s no way to introduce vibrato or a rotating speaker effect to the organ and electric piano tones. (Regarding the latter, the Wurlitzer emulation is more convincing than the Rhodes.

) The builtin speakers are more than good enough for practice and home performance. The instrument seems solidly built, but I wonder how the plastic body would stand up to stage use. I’d recommend a hard case if you plan to haul this thing around frequently.

Finally, the sustain pedal works but isn’t nearly as functional as a pedal modeled on a real sustain pedal. Serious players and students will want to replace that sustain pedal with something more robust at the earliest opportunity.

As I said up front, this instrument does piano very well. For home use in that context, it’s a bargain. It looks good, it’s lightweight, it plays well, and it sounds good. Be sure to budget for a keyboard stand if you don’t already have one.

For less than $100, the Musicians’ gear X-stand is a solid platform.

For me this was a huge disappointment. They key bed is horrible. Terrible clacking/banging when you release the keys is so noticeable, I can still hear it with headphones on at lower volumes. Even if there wasn’t that noise, there are other items of concern, such as many of the black keys don’t seem to be weighted as evenly as the white keys and although it’s advertised as full sized keys, they keys seem a bit smaller than usual (perhaps it’s just me), and the graduated weight through all the keys doesn’t seem to be accurate.

The depth of travel on the keys is somewhat short and it gives it a very weir feel when playing. The sounds. well nothing to write home about. I realize the price point but, Alesis is calling this instrument Prestige Artist, I think they could have done a much much better job with their sound sampling.

The default sound when you first turn it on is not too bad, a bit on the mid range side and when you get to the extreme lower end of the keyboard (lowest D, C#, C, etc. ), they have this unusual loud bell tone to them.

In my opinion the best part of this instrument is the sustain pedal. It’s very heavy duty, large and supports half pedaling.

I purchased this instrument for two reasons: I wanted a full 88 keyboard graded hammer action. The sounds onboard and the reverb effect onboard the piano are really cool touches. You get a few pianos, strings, harpsichord, etc.

Keyboard speaker is good for practice or playing for family. It has audio outs for traditional speakers. secondly, My main purpose was to plug this into FL Studioo and play Addictive Keys stage grand, the uvi digital keysuite, the korg m1 vst.

If you need great keys with realistic action, this is a good entry point. I had it set up with my VST instruments, and the expression from this Alexis prestige through my DAW was realistic. The sustain pedal might take some elbow grease.

in had to manually assign it to midi channel 64 with XLN addictive keys and the uvi keysuite. But once you do that the sustain works great. All in all, the digital piano would be worth it if you want to practice traditional piano.

however, being able to use these wonderful keys through a DAW makes this an essential purchase for me.

This is everything I wanted and more. My son and I wanted to learn piano and we had the primary requirement of weighted keys and great sound. This definitely fits those requirements. The next thing we looked for was something with a pedal setup and USB/Bluetooth connectivity.

This has all of it. We bought the table and three pedal setup with this piano. Then we wanted something that we could just play with if we wanted it and was simple to get back to the piano if we got a little lost, this makes it easy with the giant piano button above middle C.

I play classical piano, and this was the best-sounding keyboard I could find. Super nuanced, I feel like I play better because I have more control over the sound. I’m still reading through the other fun features and maybe eventually I’ll make my way into writing pop songs.

Bonus, this is cheaper than so many keyboards that have muddy sound or lack that real key feel. Bought with the stand and 3-pedal connector. Well worth it!.

As a piano, you can’t beat it! Sounds and plays just like a grand! And it’s the first “multi-voiced” instrument that actually sounds like the real thing! Guitar, trumpet, sax, banjo, drums and more, for the first time don’t sound like a kid’s toy, but actually sound like you’re playing the real thing! In fact, I’ve only found one voice that it is missing, and that would be the Hammond B3.

This thing is a song writers dream! You’ve heard the term, “One Man Band”, well you can really do that with this instrument!.

This piano is beautiful and perfect! It’s looks and sounds great! The pedals look amazing and the polish on the piano is flawless. This will definitely be the centerpiece of any room. The sound is so realistic and the amount of features that comes with this piano is exponential.

When it comes to the piano itself I have nothing but good things to say. However, when it comes to the shipping of this piano be ready. I was under the impression because of what was posted under the shipping information that this item would be brought into my house.

Maybe it is a miscommunication due to word phrasing but bullet 3 says “Be sure you have measured your entryway and have help available to carry the item in”. I made sure it would fit and had help available.

I took this to mean they would help bring the product in but they do not. Just be prepared to have to haul it inside yourself.

We are a senior couple using for learning. My wIfe played as a youth; me never. We like the sound and built-in music. There are a few defects, the first is a rhythmic beating sound that sounds a bit like the metronome (but it’s there always).

Second is a garbled sound whenever the Bluetooth is active. Last thing I noticed is the screen when in teaching mode, reverses the left hand test and the right hand test (LEDs are correct). Warranty repairs are hopefully going to be low stress since Suzuki rep referred us to a local shop.

Musician/F rep’s only option was to return the 350 lbs behemoth that took us half the day to unbox and setup myself. Will update when it all works out.

We are professional music studio that caters to beginner and intermediate level student musicians. We were in a bind and couldn’t t rent a real baby grand piano for the studio recital. This a very heavy life like mini baby-grand piano.

We were able to transport it by van with a dolly with three people. Of course it was wrapped and secured with packing blankets. It sounded very electronic only when the volume was raised. To fix this, we ran it through our sound board and connected it to our PRX 725 JBL speakers.

This solved the electronic and muddy sound. We were able to give a very fantastic studio recital with a convincing baby grand piano. Children were taking pictures with it! The piano met our standards for what we needed.

And the cost was the same price as a piano rental. We are extremely satisfied. Now if you plan to use this piano for an advancing student or competition student it just won’t work. It can’t handle anything past Suzuki Book 2 and or Bastien Level 4.

The response just starts getting muddy. Still though for the price with free shipping. It can’t be beat. We would highly recommend this piano for anyone that is starting out and wants the inspiration of playing on a baby grand piano, because it does have great action on the keys for this price range.

Working it thru the smart piano app makes it a breeze to operate. I recommend down loading the app while you wait for the piano to arrive. earphone jacks can be connected directly into the board, which works out good for recording thru digital board.

have had the piano for 2 months now and I have no complaints, its pretty well built and its pretty too. lol The piano has many options, even being able to split the piano into two, so you can teach the little ones.

Really cool option for four handed playing. The piano sounds are beautiful, and the keys feel really sweet. I like straight piano sounds, haven’t delved into the effects much. Yet. Over all I love my new piano.

We’ve owned 2 acoustic pianos and this is our first digital piano. We got the rosewood one and what a beautiful finish. But the sound, so rich and full of the Yamaha Grand. We bought during the Covid-19 shut in so we weren’t able to listen to in person.

I looked at the Kawai KDP 110, Roland 501, Yamaha 144 and 164 and Casio. Ruled out Casio and Roland due to Roland reviews showing various problems, same with Casio. I liked the mellower sound of the Kawai, 5 more voices, and bluetooth.

However, there were too many reviews with noisy key action after 6 months to 1 year. Also closest authorized dealer to service is 2 hours away. I chose the Yamaha 164 due to the upgraded amplifier and speakers with 40 watts.

I figured the sound would be better even at low volumes, and it’s excellent! I don’t care about having 10 voices as our purpose is to play piano and improve our piano skills, so though we’ve tried out the other voices, we keep it on the concert grand.

I’m an android person so I was happy to see the Yamaha smart pianist app is on android too, unlike the Kawai. It’s easy to maneuver and select voices, etc. I was disappointed that the music conversion feature so hyped in the utube videos only converts to chords, i.

e. a minor, b flat, etc, not musical notation. Also the memory is a little lacking. Neither of these would change my mind. This is a beautiful instrument, great action, wonderful tone, love the key cover, pedals are good, though they seems to scratch easy.

Oh, and the headphone jacks are a god send, now I can practice at night without disturbing my wife. First time I used them, even with cheap headphones, I had to take them off because I thought they weren’t working the sound was so natural and clear.

The page stays on the music stand are a nice touch also. The rep at Sam Ash was super helpful and gave me a great deal. The piano was shipped over 1100 miles in 4 business days. It was packaged very well and took about an hour to assemble and was very simple.

really happy with the piano, easy setup but you do need 2 people to lift it at a couple of points in the build. It’s a Yamaha so everything is very solidly built, it has a sort of pleasing heaviness, no plasticky stuff, the lack of a console is slightly annoying cos you have to learn the key combos to speed/slow metronome etc.

However you can see why Yamaha did it like this – it’s all about simplicity – delivering a great sound with no frills, no display, no rows of buttons – and the sound for me is absolutely perfect, it has plenty of heavy darkness without any tinny crappy sound u get on a lot of pianos, the action is excellent – more than good enough for my daughter learning for Grade 3 – can’t see needing a different one ever to be honest.

The profile is quite shallow so fits surprisingly easily in the small room we have it in, and the rosewood is nice finish.

We were looking into getting an acoustic piano. Did some research on the digital offerings. Decided on this one, as it has the hammer action weighted keys. Had a buddy come over to tweak the settings.

He is classically trained degree holding pianist that owns a very old Steinway. He was impressed with the sound and feel of it. I have connected it to a full pa and studio monitors and it sounds fantastic.

The tonal adjustments are great. The downside …. Well, the sounds other than grand piano are a little weak. Overall I would definitely purchase again and highly recommend this product.

For the price, it is a quality electric piano. The tone, speakers, and action are all definite improvements over older models of the piano. The action responds in a more nuanced way to touch, allowing for more range of tone color.

All criticisms are simply criticisms of electric pianos and pianos of this range (which this may very well be the best in its class). For example, I wish the action was slightly heavier, the tone more full in the middle register.

Only one quirk is that a few of the keys (three C#s and a G#) squeak when played. I’m not sure if this is defective, or will wear itself in with some more playing, but that is my only major concern. I will contact Sam Ash about this.

I bought this one to replace a Donner DDP-100 which was absolutely awful (terrible sound, and sharp edges on the keys!). I am very happy with this purchase, the piano sounds great, also with headphones on.

Very pleasant feeling when playing, very responsive. The metronome is always a good tool to have. There’s a few modes I haven’t used yet but could be useful too! Overall very good, strongly recommend!.

Man, I love this thing. I take lessons on a full grand piano with my instructor, and the keys definitely are stiffer on her piano. Because of that, I have been challenged sometimes with a piece I will practice at home not translating over well because the amount of force I use is not as strong as what is needed for her piano.

Even with that, I think the rig sounds great. I run it through the Boss 505 looper, and run my mics into the Boss as well. I’ve been told but haven’t explored the MIDI, but the fact that it can also be a controller is pretty slick.

It’s not a $3000 Nord. In fact, I found it for about $500 used from a big box realtor in my area. For $500 it’s 100x better than the Allegro 3 I started with, and once my skills are at a level that I can upgrade to the Nord, I likely will.

But for the people who are moving from beginner to intermediate? I can’t recommend this enough. It will do everything you want and more (and more after that, I haven’t even come close to maxing out the capabilities yet).

A good choice at a good price.

I bought headphones to go with this and my daughter is happy as a lark. We had a 76 key Yamaha before, but this is the full 88 key keyboard. Sound quality is excellent. We listened to a number of other companies versions and we thought this had the best sound for the price.

Yamaha has used their top of the line Grand Piano as their sampling for this Digital Piano. If you want the furniture look with your keyboard, then you will end-up pay buku bucks for this. We also bought the optional three pedal cross board.

You get two advantages for this. You get the three pedal setup, plus you get the extra strength of the extra cross board. The extra money spent on the pedals is worth it. Note the shipping weight. We had free shipping, but you will probably need help in putting this together since it is big and awkward to setup by yourself.

If you are not sure this is for you, then I suggest you visit a number of places that sell this and other digital pianos. This is what we did and settled on the Yamaha DGX-660. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

First the cons: It is heavy but, so what. I did my research and knew it was heavy and I had no plans to carry around this “Portable Grand”. That is it. no more cons. I bought this as an upgrade from a Casio CT series “toy” and I am new at music even though I am old.

I absolutely love this piano (and 550 other instruments). It sounds wonderful with fantastic sound and features/action/response. I am not sure I could have made a better purchase. It is a lot to learn, kinda.

I did not say this is a con for a reason. The reason is that coming from a low level toy like keyboard from the 1990’s to this extremely advanced musical instrument. let just say there is a big learning curve and Yamaha should not be penalized because they produced an advanced piece of art.

This brings me to Samash. com. Sam Ash (. com) sells the instrument for the same price as everyone else although some places have bundles that are better. the main reason I went with Sam Ash is because they have/had financing (36 months, 0% financing) that I cannot get elsewhere.

I ordered the piano ground (to Oregon, yeah I know. but those weirdos live up North) and was expecting 6-7 days shipping. Then, I went on to find several bad reviews for customer service and shipping delays.

ouch, I was concerned. But then, I received a shipping confirmation that is would be here in 3 days. Let’s say I was happy. Imagine my delight when it actually arrive a day early. The instrument is in great working order and perfect condition.

My only regret is that I wish I would have gotten the 3-pedal unit as well, for $75.

I’ve been playing the piano for a couple years now (I still have a long way to go). And I simply like the fact that the keys on this keyboard feel like I’m playing on an acoustic piano. The construction of this keyboard feels like it’s built to last for a while.

I still remember the day I stopped by at a local music store to compare mainly the actions and the piano sound quality and I’d say that Yamaha DGX-670 is the best one at this price point. I highly recommend it.

I feel in love with it when i first sat down in front of the piano in store. I’m a beginner but decided that I needed to save up the money and get this piano ASAP. Took two months from the purchase date to arrive, but well worth the wait.

Set up using the stand L300 wasn’t too difficult. It’s an absolute beauty to have in my home now. Matches the espresso wood furniture i already have. I will use it for learning, and know for sure it will serve me well.

Product is very easy to put together. The sound of this piano is amazing. The keys are weighted and feels as if you are playing on a grand piano! The fact that it has headphones jack, both small and big size, is great as my kids can practice while we can work!.

Love it. I searched forever for the perfect piano that would suit my needs as a beginner/student and would last many years in terms of quality and skill level for both myself and my daughter. I printed out several different digital pianos I was interested in and took them to my instructor who also owns the local music store.

Unfortunately for her, she was not able to purchase this piano for this price, much less sell it for this price. I searched several places including Yamaha to get a good deal, and this was by far the cheapest.

Shipping was two days, assembly was a breeze and the 0% financing was a bonus. I preferred the Rosewood to match my furniture. It is beautiful. I highly recommend this Yamaha digital piano as well as American Musical Supply! You will not be disappointed.

It’s about what I expected for an affordably priced digital piano. It is good enough for my purposes, but there are some keys that I have to hit pretty forcefully to get a sound out. And there are a couple of keys that strangely sound out of tune, as if I was playing a slightly out of tune acoustic piano.

I guess it does make it sound more like a “real” piano, but I wouldn’t have expected that for a digital piano. Maybe I’m the one who’s off though. Anyway, overall, I’m happy with my purchase and am enjoying relearning the piano after about 20 years of not playing.

Bought this for my wife. She loves playing on it. Easy to put together. The quality of the materials are on par with the cost of the piano. We both love the weighted keys. Feels like you’re playing on a real piano.

There are different settings for sounds, beats, and tempo. AMS was great. Shipped it out the very next day and we had it within a week.

The Yamaha Arius YDP-164 is an excellent quality digital piano. I have always been a Yamaha girl, so when I found myself in the market to replace my digital keyboard, I was drawn to the quality sound and build of this digital piano.

The guys at AMS were knowledgeable and patient with my long list of questions and were a great in helping me make the right decision for my needs. Though there have been many backorders on instruments as of late, I received mine pretty quickly and have been playing ever since, about 3 months.

The sound on the YDP 164 is clear, full and robust, with each note defined well, never muddy due to the excellent CFX sound engine and dual 20-watt speakers. It more than fills the room with real acoustic piano sound.

When I close my eyes playing, I feel like I am in a huge concert hall playing a top grand piano. In my opinion, yes, the sound is that good! The GH3 key action has a nice responsive ‘real’ piano touch with four adjustable key sensitivity settings.

The keys are solid quality and have a nice touch with synthetic Ebony and Ivory keytops The control panel settings are easily accessible on either side of the keyboard with indicator lights. With a combination of keystrokes and buttons you can access more advanced features and settings.

This seemed a bit tedious to me and though I’m sure with time I would memorize how to access these settings I chose the optional ipad peripheral which I will get into more later. The YDP164 has 10 different sounds, that can be used alone or in combination with the dual and duo modes.

The sound is amazing, and I like that I can adjust the volume of each instrument independently. It also has 4 Reverb settings, each with 20 levels which is a nice feature as well. The foot pedals sustain, sostenuto and soft are beefy quality and work very well-very responsive.

It also has the half-pedal feature. There are ports for the headphone jack in front and underneath with a handy hook to hold when not in use. The other ports are located behind and underneath. It would have been more convenient and easier to access the peripheral USB to host port in front somewhere instead of underneath and behind, but I never disconnect so it isn’t an issue for me.

The sliding keyboard cover is solid and smoothly slides to open and close. A really nice touch that my digital keyboards never had. The page holder is solid and large with brackets to keep the page in its place.

You can fold down the stand when not in use. I mentioned earlier that I would talk more on the iPad interface. Yamaha wisely created the Smart Pianist app to be used with an iPad for this piano (and others) and it is essential for me.

It works very well adjusting settings and features like Dual mode, transposing, equalizer settings, volume, reverb and much more. You don’t “need” this, but it is so easy to use adjusting quick and effortless especially when you are deep in learning a piece or just enjoying playing.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this piano. The keys feel solid and respond like keys in a traditional piano. Extremely impressed with the quality and the sound. I assembled everything in about 20 minutes.

Went together easily and was a lot more light weight than it looks (I was dreading moving it and was pleasantly surprised by the weight). The damper pedals feel solid and responded nicely as well. Six months later and still zero complaints.

Overall a fantastic piano without having to break the bank!.

My grandsons are taking piano lessons and when they got to all those Italian terms, they just weren’t getting the real feel of a piano on their keyboard. I bought this piano for them. The sound quality is amazing and the touch is just like a piano with all the benefits of digital.

American Musical was the only place that had this model in stock. Their customer service is impeccable and my son had this piano in a matter of days! All during a pandemic and holidays. VERY satisfied and will shop again without hesitation!.

I’m so glad I opted for the CA49 instead of the much cheaper KDP 120! The look, it could easily be mistaken for a real piano! The sound, absolutely beautiful and the feel is amazing! The keys have a bounce just like a real piano! It has a few bells and whistles that are a nice extra but the focus is the look and feel of a superb instrument! So thrilled I was able to get this during Samash anniversary sale and it does come with a bench but if you want the actual Alfred books you need to purchase them seperately, without the real books the built in lessons are useless, so I’m planning on buying the books =) Overall it’s the perfect piano for what I need plus more and will grow with me as I become more advanced.

We got out Kawai CA49 Digital Piano about two weeks ago and we love it. The sound of the classic piano is perfect and authentic. The key feel is the same. Because we live in an apartment, the volume control is a huge advantage, because I can bang away on the keys (I’m not a subtle or nimble player) and not disturb the neighbors.

We can also use our headphones to play and not disturb each other. The other features are a plus, and never get in the way of the basic usage of the upright, which we got it for. It’s also a beautiful looking piece of furniture, and fits into our space with elegance.

I love the warm sound this Kawai digital Piano gives out. I also like that you can connect a remote control app, do various piano and other instrument sounds, adjust different virtual tech parameters and more.

The customer service is amazing too! My representative went the extra mile to make sure my purchase was exactly as I wanted.

Nice digital piano with full 88 weighted keys. Looks good in my living room. Sound quality is excellent and very powerful, maybe to powerful for my dwelling. You can adjust the sound environment acoustics to suit your own ear.

Ten instruments and you have the option of two at once with octave shifts. I like the option of being able to split the keyboard into two halves. Saves wear and tear in the middle of the keys and allows for two people to have the same octaves.

You can’t have separate instruments for each hand though like you can with many Yamaha keyboards. The Yamaha piano app works a treat with the piano and is great for quick setup of the instrument. I use the Android version 2.

2 on a ten inch Samsung tablet which makes the piano a doddle to use. The piano only allows you to record one song. You can record left hand then record right hand while listening to the left or visa versa.

Its not a sequencer though, but with the piano app you can record store and playback as often as you wish. Two headphone jacks are provided. Midi is via a USB which does not provide any power which makes blue tooth expensive as you would have to buy the Yamaha model which plugs into the mains.

The instrument is pre programmed with 50 songs. You have the option to add 10 of your own via a computer. The piano app is great for the midi ones as it shows the score. All in all its a nice unit.

Very nice digital piano from a great supplier. I am a beginner learning to play and this is the perfect piano for this and very space saving. Fantastic sound and quality feel. I would imagine experienced players would find this really good too.

A sleek piano which fits into smaller spaces. A great distraction from everyday life. Note: there are picture instructions on installation on the box itself as well as inside the manual. Easy to put together.

Classic Pianos is a thriving, beautifully-creative, maker-space. Going there was a GOOD thing to do today. Showroom and offices are filled with beautiful pianos and beautiful people who love and care for all those pianos.

I brought my four-year old twin grandsons, who were full of excitement and exuberance. They were warmly welcomed, and they were encouraged to ask questions (and offer insights) and even touch (under their Grandmere’s eagle-eye supervision, of course😀).

I have wanted a grand piano for years but have not been able to afford one. I played this piano in a church and decided to look it up. I loved the look, that it was smaller, I loved the sound, and I loved the price.

When I contacted Piano Guys Store, they responded back that evening with a great deal and even an upgrade on the piano. The piano arrived quickly and was easy to put together. It was beautiful and had the beautiful sound that I remembered.

It has Bluetooth capabilities so I have been able to record songs and easily send them to the people that needed it. I was also able to record, then transpose, then speed up and it saved it like that to send to the recipients.

I had an excellent experience with Piano Guys and would purchase through them again.

The staff at the Piano Guys were amazing to work with: responsive, helpful, and both professional and personal. They helped me work through the maze of options to get what I needed at a great price. The piano arrived in great shape and was easy enough to put all together with my husband’s help.

I am definitely a novice. I play for fun and love the piano. I “upgraded” to this from a Yamaha DGX-660. I was so excited to receive this. It is beautiful. To me, the keys feel fine, although I am a novice so I don’t have much to compare the action to.

My main complaint however is the sound. When starting out, it defaults to Grand Piano. I immediately felt that the sound seemed to be a bit ‘muddy / muffled’ from the speakers, almost like there was something covering the speakers.

It just did not sound clear and bright. I feel the lower D had a twang to it, instead of the deep bass sound. Also, without application of any effects (Reverb, Chorus, etc. ) there is for lack of a better description an ‘Echo” like you are holding the sustain peddle even if you aren’t.

I tried changing from Grand Piano to Bright Piano, same thing. I tried turning on the Reverb and lowering it all the way down to 0, and it just sounded like the original Grand Piano sound with no effects.

I tried turning down the decay time, same thing. I had my music lesson with this piano and it was the first time my teacher heard it. She asked if I was holding the sustain and I wasn’t, as even she picked up on the sound issue.

I called Williams and asked about it, and the rep although nice, told me over the phone it sounded normal to him and he said perhaps the reverb sound was just from the sample they recorded, so basically he couldn’t help me.

To be clear, it does (to me) not sound BAD. It just sounds, well not what I would expect so I’m disappointed. I take my playing very seriously, I really want to learn and was excited to have a step up to a piano I could grow with as my skill increases.

The interesting thing is when you press the Demo key, and listen to the pre-recorded song samples, the piano sounds like I would expect it to. I want to know what settings they had as I sure can’t seem to get mine to sound that way.

When i asked my teacher who is a real pro what she thought, her direct words were, “well if you were a music major, this would not be good, but since you are playing just for enjoyment, it’s fine. ” Now that it is built and in my home it is WAY too much trouble to disassemble and return and buy another model, so I’m kind of stuck.

The piano itself is beautiful, the wood work is fantastic, the finish is super nice, (I got the Mahogany one), it really is pretty. I just can’t understand why Williams couldn’t just make it sound better.

Clearly they have their sound engineers who heard the final product and found it acceptable, and yet even to me, with an untrained ear, its just off. Unfortunately, if I could do it over, I would pay a bit more and get something else.

I’m hoping over time, I can play with the settings and get it close to what I would expect. I don’t understand the You Tube Videos of the Williams Symphony II playing, which sound great, so is there a perfect setting combination? I just don’t know.

This was a big purchase for me as the Piano is big, heavy, and disassembly and moving is not really feasible. I had high hopes, but kind of bummed. If it sounded even closer to my old keyboard I would even be happier.

My recommendation. Do your research, and go and hear it in person. Wish I did.

Ok I just set up my new Symphony Grand and to start of it is a beautiful looking piano. I own a regular grand so wanted to see how this stacks up. First it is not and never will be a acoustic piano. So if that is what you want then go buy a regular piano.

For a electronic piano this beast comes pretty close. Although I mainly play the piano as a grand piano there are many variations of a piano and many other instruments to experience. I would recommend for those regular piano players to change the settings of the touch from normal to strong because for me this gives a more realistic piano feel when you press down on the keys My girlfriend loves the way it sounds.

I actually own a smaller Williams electric piano which for me still sounds great. Of course this Symphony Grand is a significant improvement. I considered other electric pianos and for me this one gave me everything I wanted and more for a very reasonable cost This piano has a good volume so your larger room will benefit by this piano capacity to generate a full and rich sounding piano.

I love the blue lights that light up on each key that you depress. I recommend that you get a piano mover to help set the piano up. It is heavy and in my view takes two people to put the piano together.

I paid two piano movers $200 and felt that was money well spent. Had to tip the delivery guy $50 to get this giant box about five feet by five feet weighing over 400 pounds to bring the box in my home and place it in my living room ready for assembly.

We purchased this piano in May for Mother’s Day because we loved how it looked and sounded in the store. We even loved it at home for 2 months and took great care of it, then all of a sudden every sound setting besides piano and drums went out completely and the speaker started to static.

We purchased the 300 dollar 3 year warranty to ensure we were covered for 3 years if anything happens to it! Low and behold, 2 months in it went out so we replaced it (mind you this piano is very heavy and we had to box it back up and return it to the store ourselves then rehaul the new one home).

When we swapped out the pianos at the store they told us that that used up our 3 year warranty and if we wanted another 3 years, we’d have to pay another 300 dollars. We were not told that when we purchased the warranty nor did we even expect it to go out in 2 MONTHS.

We were rushed at the time to get it to our home as we were in the middle of moving and obviously spending another 300 dollars is ridiculous so my husband told them that he would get back to them about that because it just isn’t right.

Low and behold AGAIN we’ve had this new piano for 2 weeks and the speaker is already staticky and clicky. Every time we press the pedal, it makes a pop noise and there’s nothing we can do about it. We’re in the process of trying to get something figured out because we’ve invested a lot of money into this piano and i’m hoping they will work with us but all of this to say, we are SUPER disappointed in this piano and guitar centers warranty on it.

We feel scammed and we’re super bummed.

This Yamaha CVP-805 is like being at a big exciting carnival. There are so many “musical rides” in this digital piano that offer every kind of interactive musical genre you can think of that there is something for anyone who wants a super enjoyable musical experience.

There are only a couple of things that could be improved but overall I really enjoy playing this piano.

I use my piano for performance, audio and midi record. The sounds are excellent and very realistic. I record songs in both audio and midi file formats. This is my 3rd Clavinova and I must say they keep getting better and better in features.

The large display is perfect because it allows you to see and select different functions with ease of use. I like the wifi feature which allow you to connect to my Apple iPad Pro without cable clutter so I can use my Yamaha apps.

The only thing that I would change on the piano is the cabinet trim from silver to brass. My CVP-505 had brass trimming which is the standard for acoustic grand pianos.

First and foremost, i love the cvp 709 it’s a joy to play. It just sounds great and inspires you to play on! Personaly i don’t like the cabinet finish. I owned a 500 series which had these brass details on the front legs and a embossed brass plate on the music stand and a beautiful rounded keyboardcover with a brass colored strip.

It looked and still looks like a premium instrument. The lack of fine details make the 709 look cheaper than it is. And the blank metal pedals are a bad choice in my opinion.

The Roland GP607 more than meets my expectations – really delighted!
