20 Best Diabetic Socks For Men (2023 Updated)

The quality of Medi-peds has gone down significantly. I bought four packs and three are going back after having tried on a pair. They are thin, uncomfortable by the toe and scratchy at the ankle. They’re much smaller and thinner than the originals and they will definitely shrink in the wash.

I’m very disappointed. I wish I could get my money back for the pair that I opened.

The health socks I received were not the ones offered and and that is okay as I was advised of this by email. These are very nice, good quality and comfortable. I am a diabetic and am wearing them during the day to see if they do help reduce edema and neuropathy as I suffer from both.

I am very pleased to see a company make these especially for that purpose. I am wearing them now and they seem very comfortable even though I am a female (made for men). I especially like the loose top with extra stretch as I have given up wearing socks because of the tightness around my calves and causing my ankles and feet to swell.

It is wonderful that I can now wear socks again as my feet get so cold with just slippers on as I live in the northeast.

Sometimes good products aren’t available in special sizes. But luckily these did come in a large size which was much needed in this family. They fit very well they are soft and comfortable. They do stretch out on the foot area so that they look maybe a little dark gray not black.

But that part doesn’t show when we are wearing shoes so still a five-star and will purchase again.

I need something that will go around my leg; these do. But they are way too long in the foot. They were cutting off circulation to my toes. Since I had tried them on, I decided to sacrifice a pair and asked a shoe/leather repairman if he could try to shorten them.

He tried one sock and said he couldnt do it, they would just unravel. So a friend and I were going to try unraveling the other sock of the pair back far enough to just cover my toes. But we never got around to figuring out how we could do it.

I have found some toeless stockings that work for my foot length, and I think that’s what I’ll need to do from now on. I’m not able to find a stocking that both is large enough for my calf and fits my foot length.

Also, I am allergic to nylon, which limits my selection of stockings. I still have a couple of pairs of these stockings, but since they were comparitively inexpensive, I was holding on to them in case I found someone who could shorten them and make them toeless.

I would add the word ‘quality’ to that list of adjectives. We’ll see how long they last. I wear these almost every day. I might put some thought, if I were the manufacturer, in to what the sock needs, to become even more durable and longer lasting.

Is it the stitching? Is it the fabric? Is it the chemicals used in coloring the sock? People want quality. They yern for quality. Lastly, people will pay more for quality. Knowing your buyer is imperative.

I have been buying these socks for years for my husband. He is not diabetic, but the small amount of compression is just right for his legs. He wears the knee high style and they are not too warm for him in the summer here in Florida and they offer just enough warmth with his bad circulation.

They wash beautifully and always look like new. When the compression lessens we donate them to the shelter and the staff say the homeless love them. The shipping is fast, customer service is great (rare these days!) and no place sells them cheaper than Ames Walker.

Extremely pleased with this product and company.

These are amazing socks if your have issues with swelling in the ankle and lower leg. These socks are not only stylish, they don’t leave rings around your ankles. The swelling is less because these socks do not restrict the areas.

This is my second purchase of these socks and was thrilled to see them available again. I loved their comfort and they last so well, almost 2 years. I wear a size 9 and no issues with the size.

The fit is not as good as the last ones were in the past. They are cutting in the top of my calf. When I have an itch under my sock if I scratch my leg through the sock, you get fuzz balls of the sock, which will start to break them down quicker.

So, I don’t think the quality is as good. I did get them in probably the right amount of time. So, the service was fine. But I know you can do better this on the other. I will not recommend this to anyone at this time.

These are the most comfortable socks that I have work for years. I have to wear socks with a high wool content, and these wide fitting socks are excellent. The neck of the sock expands much more than any others I have work, making them much easier to get on and off.

As a type 2 diabetic also suffering from arthritis, this wide neck is exactly what I needed. At the price, they are also exceptional value for money for a sock of this type. Universal Textiles service is prompt and efficient, and their customer service is second to none.

I like the subject but the advertising is awful. The description says 3 pairs of socks, Dark mixture. However, the colours can not be distinguished as three colours seem to be visibly the same. Just the fawn colour stands out and that colour doesn’t come to the order form.

Also, it would be much better if we could order 3 pairs of the same colour with a better selection to choose from. D. Osborne.

My husband likes these socks. They fit well and are very comfortable on his feet. However after a few weeks the tops of the socks stretched out of shape. The calf style no longer stay up on his legs.

Very disappointed expected better quality for the price. Never had the tops of socks stretch out like these have.

First time buying these socks in Black, but I have bought multiple pairs in white for my father. They are really nice, non-binding, and stretch as far as the description states. My fathers a big man whose feet and legs swell during the day and these are wonderful.

It is very difficult to find large socks, especially for size 16. These are the perfect fit and they are not too tight. I recommend if you have anyone that has any swelling as well because it isn’t too tight from the top so it won’t be uncomfortable.

Will be purchasing more! Wish they had prints and colors as well!.

Wigwam socks are my favorites. They are made in the USA by fellow Americans earning honest wages. As an old coot on Social Security, I even buy them as Christmas presents, etc. , and get outstanding feedback from my friends.

Yes, they cost more up front than competitors’ products, BUT they also last far longer, wear well, and are worth every penny. I like the heavy duty winter hunting socks and cotton summer socks rather than the fancy schmancy blends.

Id thought these being 55% Merino wool they would feel softer and comfortable for hiking in but they are not. Another brand bought elsewhere with only 38% Mer. wool is much better quality which is surprising.

Have to agree with other reviews about these NOT as good as previously bought socks from years ago -these are more like Dollar Store socks. Will hand them off onto a much youger relative thats not concerned with comfort/quality yet.

I usually do not write reviews but these socks deserve one. I had bought 3 pairs in the past. They were not cheap for socks but they fit nicely and were not too tight around the legs. Now I needed new ones and tried to find them so I dug up my old emails and found the purchase receipt.

It was 2014. It’s now 2021. The 3 pairs of socks lasted 7 years. I mean… knowing that I had to buy the same ones and did. I guess I need to buy new ones in 2028.

We have been on the hunt for socks for many years, trying, dumping and giving most of them away. Your non-elastic Chunkies fit beautifully and do not bind and restrict one’s blood vessels at all. They are quite warm and totally comfortable.

The socks received do not match the photo. The photo used is of the older socks that did not have that tight band at the top. Loved those socks and have worn them for years. But the socks now have that annoying, tight band around the top that is very uncomfortable.

They should update the photo, and mention in the description that they have the band around the tops.

85% cotton excellent mid weight quality sock price was great for a 3pk. beside quality they fit well even after washing i wear a size 12 shoe and most socks are size 6 to 12 but you have to strech them to get them on because there too small after they are washed they are too small again then the heels wear holes in them from streching.

fleet farm used to sell a king size sock made out east that i loved but they quit selling them and they were only made for fleet farm so i couldn’t even buy them direct from the manufacturer. other than style 6030 i couldn;t find a good sock that fit unless i paid a lot more for king size.

I bought the last 3 3pk at my fleet farm and ordered on line but they were out i hope it is only temporary as i want to buy more as my old socks wear out. they are almost as good as the king size ones made out east that fleet stopped getting.

please keep selling these socks or if you don’t get the king size ones you used to sell made out east because they are the only good socks i have found reasonably priced for a size 12 foot.

I don’t have a medical need for these, and neither does my wife. However, we love them because they are cotton and the elastic is not uncomfortably tight like most socks. These will not leave marks on your ankles.

We use them for wearing around the house.

PRO made in USA. Nice soft material. Fairly loose top elastic area maybe 3 inches, comfortable, BUT. CON Top elastic band, top 1/2 inch, is still too tight on my XL socks. It pinches a little more than it should, and I get some swelling around it.

Maybe 6’5″ 290, size 15 shoes, does not fit quite as well as the XL size is designed for. Maybe everyone else smaller will be very happy. I will likely buy more, and stretch the top band bigger. Tear it a little wider.

They hold up to this treatment.

They seem to do the job. I can’t feel my feet so I can’t say much about how they feel. They keep the swelling down. Keep my feet and toes nice and pink. The only thing I would change is sometimes they fall down and start to come off when I’m walking around the house.

Other than that they’re great.

I have spent years in corporate high heals. My feet celebrate everytime I free them. So I hate tight socks. I hate binding socks. I want slipper soft socks that hold not tug. These are fantastic! I honestly withheld my review until I could order more.

Do it. You will say hmmm when they arrive. Then wash and wear. Will turn that into Ahhhhh. Enjoy!!.

These are still a tad short, but I can get them over his ankles at their most swollen, which is more than I can say for any other sock we’ve ever tried.

Socks are just right for me. The fit,the softness. I will order again.

The first time I bought these socks size medium and they were perfect. The second time I bought them they were huge. The third time I tried small but they were very very small. The next time I tried medium and I tripped over the excess length of foot.

So I gave up. I really like the socks but for some reason they changed the sizes of each denomination S, M, L and there are none like my first ones. I cancompare them with my first old socks so I know it is true.

I have given them all to charity. They must fit someone, but not me.

DocOrtho “Ultra Soft Silver” socks are getting harder and harder to find, especially in XL. So I thought these might be a good replacement. They are NOT. They are tighter on the calf and harsher on the sole.

In short, they are not a “Comfort” sock. Thankfully I purchased only one pair to try them out. If they were truly a comfort sock, I would order a boat load.

These are the best socks my wife and I have ever worn. They provide the best support and comfort what this product is made for. It is unfortunate that I cannot purchase more of the extra large size of these particular socks for men.

I wish the men’s sizes were more available. I would buy them in a heartbeat. As you continue to provide your socks for women, we will continue to purchase them.

I have used Dr Comfort socks for many years now. I first found them at my podiatrist’s office, who amply recommended them. I bought more not because I needed to replace the old ones, but simply because I wanted more of them.

They slide easily into your feet, do not make feet sweat, and provide the necessary cushioning for my aching and problematic feet. I highly recommend these socks. The color combinations are very attractive.

These socks are very comfortable and have the compression usually associated with Diabetes M. The bamboo charcoal fiber inhibits bacterial growth and makes a noticeable difference. A gradient of pressure is often needed from the ankle to the top of the sock to enhance venous return.

Comfort and protection, not heavy compression, is needed for the foot and esp for the toes of the diabetic person (as agent orange has rendered me to be). These socks appear well make and are reasonably priced in a market dominated by overpricing for many years.

am pleased with the socks and do not understand why they do not have a very high rating. Sorry about the problems encountered by others but personally endorse them and if unforeseen problems are encountered plan to get back.

I’ve purchased the extra roomy diabetic socks before (over a number of years) and have always been very pleased. They are a special find as I also have lymphoedema in my lower right leg. I am not giving a 5 star rating this for this order ( 3 black and 2 white pairs) as it appears they’ve changed the elasticity and don’t feel as soft.

The swelling in my right leg is of course constantly monitored, so that is not the issue with the elasticity. The socks are still very roomy , and comfortable. More so than other brands, but they just don’t seem the same.

I will continue to buy these from Dr. Comfort as needed , as they have always proven to be of good quality and lasted very well ,so I imagine these will also hold up. Possibly after a few washes those from this latest purchase will “give” a bit more.

I am more pleased than disappointed with this recent order but still needed to note the possible change in the way they are made. Even my husband, who is a podiatrist mentioned they just didn’t seem the same.

Super soft, comfy, love all the fun designs to choose from. My husband has been wearing for about 2 weeks now, has helped with his neuropathy, and can sense better whether his feet are hot or cold. Great customer service that go the extra mile for you, much appreciated.

I love my Viasox! I haven’t been able to wear socks for years due to worsening lymphedema and weight gain. When I saw the commercial for Viasox, i immediately ordered the mystery pack. I got some awesome designs! I was worried I might get fugly socks, but on a fixed income, any dollar saved is a plus so I went for the mystery.

If you wants socks that fit, are comfortable and soft, you need to buy some Viasox!!!.

Viasox are not just for diabetics. I bought them for my nephews that are diabetic, but I tried them first. They are so comfortable with the 3 layers on the bottom and heel. I am the “Sock Auntie” at Christmas and buy quality socks.

I will buy these for for their quality, comfort, and medical benefits of no venous constriction. Great for Christmas gifts.

As it’s getting cold i love wearing these soft and warm diabetic socks! These were recommended by my doctor! I absolutely love them! I have bought several in all colors! They are very comfy and are not tight on me.

I have been searching for a really good light compression sock over the past ten years or more; have tried several highly-touted brands. The Jobst compression socks are the best yet. They are truly ‘knee high’ as advertised; they are a good 8-15mmHg; and are easy to put on/take off.

My only complaint so far is that they have a tendency to ‘roll over’ and cut in at the top. I am waiting to see if they remain ‘knee high’ after laundering.

I ordered open-toe stockings but received closed toe. I have a sensitive in-grown toenail that the closed toe irritates. I can wear them but only for a short time. The fit is perfect otherwise. I could not find a mechanism for returning them so I decided to keep and wear them.

I have been wearing these stocking for years and I was hopeful that I had found a way to order myself instead of through the drug store. Back to the drug store I must go.

Bought these for leg swelling due to mobility issues for spouse & he finds them very comfortable. Have purchased others that he found extremely binding & difficult to put on which resulted in him not using them as he should.

He wears these a lot which is better for his health.

Regular socks cause my husband’s legs to swell. Do not have that problem with the Haband Diabetic sockets. He can put them on by himself and look good in them. He is not diabetic. Just big legs. His doctors like the way they fit his legs too.

I bought these socks for myself with my very large and badly damaged (severe arthritis and diabetic neuropathy) feet. Any colors other than black or white have been impossible to find other than here; will be back for other colors in the Fall.
