All delivery actions were Ok. The fatal problem was the seed envelope was sealed but devoid of seeds. had a nice picture but no seeds. defect was Burpee not Wal-Mart. I am going to reorder next time.

As far as seeds you can get easily at the store go, Burpee’s are it for me. The convenience of grabbing super low priced seeds that can actually sprout worthwhile product is unbeatable with this brand.

Of course I will always advocate for growing from seed, and if you’re looking to start a basic garden grab some of these at your local store!.

I absolutely love the taste of a garden fresh tomato. They are great alone, in a salad, and or in a stew. I like how affordable they are I can eat as much as I want minus the store cost. There is no comparison to home grown tomatoes.

Aloha! Tomato’s look great so far! 90% of the seeds sprouted in the water I was soaking them in. I planted the sprouts in cups with coconut husk growing medium covered with plastic and put them in a window sill and now they are all about an inch tall and happy!.

Everwilde is my absolute favorite now for seeds of any kind. Packaging is BRILLIANT. I love all the info, photographs and the waterproof, sealable packaging. Add to that the quality heirloom seeds, and I won’t shop anywhere else unless I have to.

As for the Floridale tomato: germination rate has been high, all my starts sprouted quickly. We will have to see how they produce in the Piedmont area of South Carolina before I can review the crop! I have no reason to believe they won’t be perfect!.

I started seeds indoors on 3. 19. 21 and it is now 4. 2. 21 and out of a 12 pack with three seeds in each only two seeds have sprouted! They are grown in a sunny bay window with grow lights and heating pads.

I have started tumbler tomato seeds in the same area under the same conditions and they already have been moved to a larger pot! I was really hoping these would work out for me! Will try re-seeding a new batch in hopes for a better result but disappointed so far!.

The plants grew big in my fall setup and when it cooled down they did set tomatoes but that was in late September or early October. They should have set in late summer temps since they were developed in Florida for the temps and rain issues we have on the gulf coast.

The weather was messed up with cool temps till mid June and avg 92 till mid October and then cold end of October. We run around in shorts almost to last of December here but had a freeze in October. My fall tomato plants were over 3.

5 feet tall by end of August so it wasn’t late planting. I feel the seeds are the issue since I had issues with other seeds from this seed supplier. So you get what you paid for cause I had paid more for other seeds and those tomatoes did ok.

These produce the best and earliest salad tomatoes we’ve ever grown. They were the first to ripen and produced the longest, they have a super long growing season. They remind me of better tasting “campari” size tomatoes.

Nice acid content to counter the sugar too, well balanced. The plants produce a tremendous amount of fruit. You won’t be disappointed. I just hope Burpee keeps selling them through Walmart.

Seeds sprouted in less than a week at 100% germination rate. Growing into strong plants now after 5 weeks. Plants are looking healthy.

The design is too complicated for a tomato cage. Bought the wrong trellis extension product. Everything except the wires fit, so i didn’t figure out that it wouldn’t fit the Victory Planter Trellis until it was all put together.

Needed to exchange, which took some doing. This extension trellis has a better clip than the Victory Trellis extension. I didn’t have any break as I assembled it, whereas when I assembled the replacement Victory Trellis extension, 5 out 12 clips broke immediately.

The extension adds several feet of growing space to the classic tomato planter. The problem is, and was a problem with the original tomato supports, they are difficult to apply. It takes two people to install the supports.

We had several of the locking clips break as we tried to clip them on. So the idea of the revolution tomato planter and support is great. The practicality of putting it all together is lacking. Once we got it all put together, it seems to be good.

Gardeners Supply sent more locking clips so we could put it all together. In its present form, I wouldn’t recommend this planter. If it can be fine-tuned, I would recommend it.

Some tomato plants are the bushy kind and don’t grow endlessly all summer long. But indeterminate plants seem to never stop reaching for the clouds. I believe that I shouldn’t have any problem keeping those very tall ones protected from falling over with this system.

I grew Everwilde’s Big Rainbow tomato in my garden during the 2020 season. It has earned a permanent place in my garden. The tomatoes are huge and extremely flavorful. The texture is perfect. As an indeterminate tomato, you’ll either need to get a heavy duty cage or prune these heavily, but they’re absolutely worth it for the delightful fruit.

This year I tried tomatoes from different companies and by far the best so far has been the San Marzano Determinate. They had the best germination rate and now they are in the garden they are so vigorous and the stems are huge and strong.

These seeds had an excellent germination rate. Plants grew fast and were ready to transplant into the garden early. I held back just in case of frost but they are in and growing well. Already covered in flowers and small fruits.

It was ITALIAN NIGHT with Homemade Meatballs and Marinara Sauce with the family! 🍝 CLASSIC MARINARA SAUCE Yields: 3 1/2 cups, enough for 1 pound of pasta INGREDIENTS * 1 28-ounce can crushed San Marzano tomatoes * ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil * 7 garlic cloves, chopped * Small dried whole chile, or pinch crushed red pepper flakes * 1 teaspoon kosher salt * 1 large fresh basil sprig or 1/4 teaspoon dried basil * 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, or more to taste INSTRUCTIONS 1.

Pour tomatoes into a large bowl. 2. Pour 1 cup water into can and slosh it around to get tomato juices. Reserve. 3. In a large skillet (do not use a deep pot) over medium heat, heat the oil. When it is hot, add garlic.

4. As soon as garlic is sizzling (do not let it brown), add the tomatoes, then the reserved tomato water. Add whole chile or red pepper flakes, basil, oregano (if using) and salt. Stir. 5. Place basil sprig, including stem, on the surface (like a flower).

This is the crushed tomatoes that I always purchase. I love using them when I make lamb rack you. I’ve never had any issues and I really like that they use San Marzano tomatoes because they’re very high-quality.

If you aren’t using San marzano for your sauces, you’re doing it wrong! Hands down the best brand of canned tomato, non negotiable for my bolognese sauce. A definite staple to have in any kitchen, and will always be brand loyal!.

I have been making my own tomato sauce for many years, mainly using tinned plum tomatoes which I crushed with my hands before cooking. Recently I used Mutti cherry tomatoes and they made the best tomato sauce ever.

I whizzed them before cooking leaving a bit of texture. I used three tins, and finely chopped three shallots, 1 small carrot, 1 stick of celery, and three cloves of garlic. I fried the vegetables and when they were soft added the tomatoes.

When the sauce was warmed I added half a packet of chopped basil leaves, and left the sauce uncovered to simmer on the lowest possible heat for three hours No need for sugar. Exceptional. 10/10 from me and my family.

In Italy tomato soup sauce is a must that cannot fault in every kitchen. For many different rexipe: pizza, pasta, meat and many others dishes. This sauce is my favorite one because it’s not acid but lightly sweet and the flavor don’t cover other ingredients.

For pizza is something wonderful, ideal for Italian pizza and focaccia, and for the Ragù made with meat, used for pasta, or meat balls. You have to try it!!.

These are the best canned tomatoes I have ever had of ANY brand. They taste so fresh, like you just crushed the tomatoes yourself. Absolutely amazing. They are expensive, so I save them for fresher dishes like gazpacho, salsa, and soups and sauces that are not cooked for long (so you don’t cook out that yummy fresh taste!) I suppose if you can afford it though, you should use these for everything!.

I chose these seeds as my first ever attempt to grow tomato plants. The seeds were very small and I had a bit of a problem picking them out of the packet to sow them. It was more of a problem with my eyesight than the seeds.

The soil was freshly dug and I put in a cane with every seed planted and awaited the result. The seeds did start coming through and I weeded around them and they developed into tall strong plants, As they grew I tied them loosely to the canes and shortly they all started to flower, large clusters of yellow flowers.

But then disaster struck, we had torrential rain and high winds and the plants took a beating. I removed the broken and battered parts and hoped that all would be well but then they all turned black and died, I assume some type of blight.

And so ended my tomato growing. I’ll stick to my sarpo mira spuds, no blight with these, just need to keep the badgers out of the garden.

These tomatoes are easy to grow and produce so many tomatoes will definitely keep you well fed and more than enough to freeze and enjoy through the winter months too. I am really pleased and can not recommend them enough, as I have to everyone else on the allotments.

Brilliant, just brilliant but be prepared to cane them well as the amount they produce will pull the plants over. Lovely, juicy, sweet little tomatoes.

No doubt the seeds will be OK but the price is out of this world. Whoever thought that cucumber seeds would be almost 1 each!!! This is blatent exploitation and I will carefully watch the progress of each of the seeds and take full advantage of my right to have duds replaced.

If I thought it was a quick job I would weigh each seed and compare the weight with the current price of 14 ct gold.

Wonderful rich and tangy heirloom flavor. The plants are vigorous and definitely need to be staked! They will continually grow so make sure you have them staked securely. The fruit will split if a good rain comes along so you could pick fruits a little early to avoid them splitting.

A great addition to your garden and your spring/summer salad!.

I planted these this year for the first time. They tasted great by themselves or in a cucumber/tomato salad. My only complaint-if you can call it that is that these plants grew HUGE and produced far more cherry tomato’s than we could possibly eat or give away.

Next year I’ll be planting cherry tomato’s that are a bit more manageable.

I grew these last year and I am looking forward to growing them again for 2022. They are on the larger side for a cherry, but very prolific. They had a nice sweet flavor and beautiful color. We had an awful growing season here in NJ and these did very well.

Package arrived timely with everything included as advertised. Since this is a replant kit for TOMATOES, I had expected more detail and guidance instructions for prepping the box for tomatoes. Importance of removing prior planting of root balls and initial fertilizer was explained much better online with a couple of online videos by the EarthBox company, especially the one featuring the inventor of the EarthBox.

The plastic cover elastic on both covers broke as I put them on the box. Then 3 days later, the plastic has corroded exposing big holes. Not sure what went wrong with the plastic. The fertilizer and other soil mix ins seem fine.

The pack said 93% germination rate, well I’m a math teacher and sought to test their claim, here is my findings. I ordered 500 seeds and got exactly 506 seeds, that’s great! Until! Starting hypothesis: 506 x.

932 = 470 sprouting seeds Conditions: Seed starting mix well saturated but not over watered with seeds plated at 1/4 inch depth. Seed trays were kept in the house until the first seeds emerged with a constant 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

When seeds emerged they were moved to my heated greenhouse where they were kept between 65 and 75 degrees. Results: 271 seeds emerged. So 271 out of 506 is equivalent to a 53. 5% germination rate. Conclusion: Don’t believe their germination rates and order double the amount of seeds need.

Side note: My seeds didn’t arrive the first time and went back to their warehouse. It took over 2 months to get my seeds :(.

This is the first time I have planted this tomato. So far, this is one of the best and most prolific tomato I have ever planted. I only planted two plants because I had never heard of this variety of tomato.

If it continues to proceed as it has thus far, I may only plant this and Better Boy next year. (Lord willing, I’ll live that long! I live in New Orleans and it does get pretty warm here. Hoping they are as disease resistant as they claim to be.

I chose Primo Red to find a quick-bearing, good-tasting tomato with SIZE. Primo Red went beyond my expectations. For five years now I have grown Primo Reds more than any other. I sell at a farmers’ market.

Product specifications mention a pointy end on some of the fruits (only a few have it). This has NEVER been a negative–customers now seek it out! The flavor is ALWAYS very good. It is hard to maintain flavor through the vagaries of a growing season even in the best varieties.

With Primo Red, it’s easy. I use minimal but regular watering and plenty of natural high-potassium fertilizers (sul-po-mag and seaweed). So I do my part, and the flavor of Primo Reds never waivers. Other growers at the farmers’ market emphasize heirlooms.

My niche is the shiny, round red tomato. Customers are at first dubious (“It looks like a store tomato. “). Once they taste Primo Red, they’re hooked. The flavor window of heirlooms is very brief, but Primo Red holds its flavor well over a week.

I sell out in less than two hours. I also grow European market tomatoes with superb flavor (Carmello from France and Tres Cantos from Spain). Primo Red holds its own with them–and is much earlier. A little secret: I graft my Primo Reds.

This converts them into semi-indeterminates. They go from compact to tall (3 to 4 feet). I trellis them and do judicious pruning. They produce from May to November in my heated hoop houses. Production is over 25 pounds per plant.

We planted in late May and by late August we had harvested 200 pounds of tomatoes from ten plants in raised beds under excellent conditions. No fooling! They can sun scald so protect them with shade cloth in the afternoon or add a little extra nitrogen for more foliage.

But be warned, the foliage is quite dense so prune the plants back a bit.

Seriously!!!??? I placed the order in August so it is way too late to even give a complete feedback. That is why I gave it an OK rating because as of yet, I haven’t sowed any seeds for growing. That will occur in the beginning of 2022.

This tomato plant produced over one hundred tomatoes for me. Great tomato!

I’m addicted – best tinned tomatoes ever. Made delicious cold soup in the heatwave too, when blended with a few herbs, seasoned and chilled.

Little seasoning is needed and it’s almost like putting A1 on a steakhouse filet mignon- it’d be insulting to the restaurant. A little salt brings these to perfection. Note, they are a bit acidic, but that’s the point of San Marzano tomatoes.

If want something sweeter, put ketchup on it, peasant!.

3 seeds planted, 3 sprouted FAST, 1 I continued to grow. I absolutely LOVE this plant. Do not be fooled, though the tomatoes are small, the plant can get BIG and FAST! I have mine on a trellis (Do not use a cage, the stock is a bit too thin, and the cage will not be tall enough).

Mine is about 7 feet tall now after about 3 months of growth. I do not plan on topping it, i want to see how big i can get it. Fyi i am growing it in a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket. I can only imagine how big they will get in the ground.

It is the only tomatoes i have that survived the 120F degree heatwave we just had. In fact it seemed to thrive, not a spot of burn or discoloring on them. I lost 6 other tomato plants in that heat wave.

This is also the only tomatoes i have grown that have NOT been invaded by insects. Not sure if this is just a lucky plant, or if they are just super resistant. The first set of tomatoes are just about to turn red, and my children are super excited about it, as am I.

This is my first time growing Teaspoon tomatoes, and I will definitely be buying and growing these again. I have had these tomatoes in the past and love the flavor and size. Kids love them for a snack.

These seeds were easy to start and grow. Everybody loves them! My wife loves that are perfect for all kinds of salads with only rinsing them off as all the prep needed, and they taste great. Our plants are loaded with these little tomatoes, and the plants are like huge bushes, If there is a down side to these its trying to reach the ones in the middle of the plant as they grow very thick, or at least ours have.

I would recommend these to anyone who loves tomatoes.

Like most of my reviews, I wish Sams would sell a variety pack of tomatoes. It would be nice to have these with some grape and sandwich tomatoes. I tend to plan my meals around what kind of tomatoes I purchased.

If I buy tomatoes at Sam’s and buy all the kinds I would like my chickens eat lots of tomatoes. The really good thing is that my chickens grow lots of tomatoe plants. So I move the pens, because tomatoe plants are actually poison.

The dig up the plants, so I don’t have tomatoe plants growing wild in the field, and replant them in pots. Unfortunately, most if the tomatoes Sam’s sell are hybrids except the grapes, but so far they have all been pretty good.

If not still they are all chicken favorites.

The Campari tomatoes are delicious. They are the reason I joined Sam’s club. They stopped carrying them at the other big wholesale place! I have fallen in love with Sam’s club because of these tomatoes! I enjoy the shopping and especially the pickup system.

These are the very best tomatoes that I can buy. They are good sandwich tomatoes, they are excellent with cottage cheese, or they are very tasty just sliced and salted. The flavor is excellent, almost as good as if they had come straight out of my garden (if I had a garden).

i have been buying these boxed tomatoes for years. in the beginning they were sourced from a texas grower and actually grown in texas. i live in south texas just saying. the tomatoes were very very good most of the time.

then the same texas grower started marking them as coming from mexico. not the same quality but better than other local stores. last week the same texas grower marked them as coming from canada. that is an awful long way for tomato to travel and they taste as if they were picked when totally green and never really ripen before going bad.

these tomatoes have gone from being a 9. 7 down to a 0 on a 1-10 scale. i will not be buying any more sams tomatoes until they are able to get grown in texas tomatoes. i feel like a lot of my money has been wasted on poor and mediocre quality tomatoes.

Good tomatoes are hard to find in Florida. especially compared to the ones I’ve had in Michigan off the farm! Apprehensive at first, I purchased 4 pounds of tomatoes, knowing I live alone and might not use them all.

I used them all! After a week, left at room temperature, they were still sweet, firm and tasty! No soft or spoiled spots! Do not refrigerate! As long as this quality exists, I will be having these tomatoes on my menu!.

These tomatoes on the vine are delicious. We’ve bought them 4 times because they’re so good. They stay fresh for over a week in the refrigerator while still attached to their vines. I had stopped buying tomatoes because they had become very bland and would spoil so fast.

I just happened to buy some for a halloween carnival event we were having for our grandchildren instead of letting them go out to do trick-or-treating during this pandemic. We made hamburgers at home and playing carnival games in the back yard.

The hamburgers were delicious and were enjoyed by all of us thanks to these delicious tomatoes. Will keep purchasing these as long as they are available.

I always reach for over all other tomatoes in the produce section! They are larger than grape tomatoes but smaller than greenhouse and far more delicious than Roma! I slice them for salads and dice them for a chunky texture in my pasta sauce! I love the convenience of their size and my daughter loves them just plain for a snack they’re really that good!.

I am honestly obsessed with these tomatoes! It’s like the miniature version of a big old juicy jersey girl tomato! They are a little pricey but definitely worth it.

I have only purchased these once and unfortunately I probably won’t risk it again. I give it 3 stars because the taste was great but I wa disappointed as to how long the product life was. half of them had to have been over ripened prior to me purchasing them.

Of course i realize this wa probably the grocery stores problem but I will stick to free vegetables that I can hand test prior to purchase from now on.

First year growing these. I had bought 3 plants at garden so not sure how seeds will do. Going to try seeds next year. There seems to be a few less tomatoes on this one, but they are all HUGE. I think there is about 13 on plant right now.

I saw a review about the first tomatoes that grow. They said they had indentations on bottom. That can happens whrn the Temps get down low while it’s setting fruit. Usually early in season, the nights can get down still low so it can affect any flowers or fruit that’s starting.

Belive it’s called” catfacing”. It’s like the pollen gets stuck on the growing tomato when its cold. Ihave it this year too. But only on 1 or 2 on the lower fruits that came first. The rest will grow fine.

They are weird to look at but aren’t harmful. If you have real bad ones, I usually just remove them early. To put energy to rest of plant and tomatoes. But if they aren’t too bad, I leave them and cut around when ripe.

The first time I saw this a few years ago, I freaked out a bit myself. overall , I really am happy with this one. I try a few new ones each year and this will be a keeper in garden.
