20 Best Designer Jeans For Women (2023 Updated)

After having my baby, I knew I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on jeans but I wanted some cute ones. Let me tell you, I have been wearing these jeans (in 3 different colors- Matter of Fact, Blue Story, Soft Black) on a frequent rotation since August 2019 (that’s for 6 solid months ya’ll).

I am washing them weekly or biweekly and drying them in the dryer. They are still perfect. I actually decided buy some more, because they are better than some of my fancier Joe’s Jeans that I can now fit into again (post-baby body).

I’m a new lover of Levi’s! I can’t believe I haven’t tried them sooner. PLEASE come out with more 721 High-Rise Skinny Jeans!.

I wish I had trusted the size chart on these jeans. I ordered my normal number size – 6/28. When they arrived, they were tiny! They looked like a size 0. I don’t own any Levi’s, so I don’t know if all their sizing is like this or if it is just this style.

I am usually nervous about ordering clothes online, but I used the size guide and chose a perfect fit. These jeans are crisp white, comfortable, and stylish. They hug my body, yet offer enough stretch to keep from being too tight.

This pair is versatile enough for me to create dozens of looks.

This is my first ever review after countless Nordstrom purchases. These are holy grail denim. After buying so many pairs of Agoldes and SLVRLAKE jeans at 2-3x the price, these sit head and shoulders above the rest.

Why, you ask? They are very stretchy so they are extremely comfortable, yet they hold their shape and look like classic, stiff denim. They have that cool, 90’s vibe with a flattering skinny silhouette.

I have now bought 5 pairs just in case they ever stop being made. It is my duty to the public to share with the secret of how great these jeans are.

I’m really excited about these jeans! I went to the store to return three pair of ill fitting Levi’s. I worked with Taylor @ 25 – he was so helpful! Finally! The Levi’s I’ve been looking for! I’ve noticed it’s becoming less easy to find jeans 95%+ cotton.

To be fair, I can see why people like stretchy jeans; the elasticity helps denim “snap back” to their original / fitted shape. Personally, I love a tougher denim. If wanted stretchy pants, I’d put on leggings.

The Levi’s Skinny 501’s are so flattering. They’re almost a curvy fit! Honestly, I do have a gap in the back, but decided not to obsess because I’ve been searching everywhere for a GREAT pair of button-fly jeans.

Prior to the Levi’s 501 skinny’s, I purchased several pair of button-front jeans (various brands) and was dissatisfied with every pair. I was being encouraged to size down (go smaller), but the buttons didn’t look “good” to me anymore.

I love the hidden buttons on the Levi’s! The denim will soften throughout the day. But I LOVE that I can wash these (cold) and dry them (light) – making these jeans one of the lowest maintenance pair of jeans I own.

WIN. For reference, I’m 5’5” / 132# (36/26/35). Being between sizes, my next pair will be a size down, but I appreciate the flexibility of a more relaxed fit + a fitted pair. I look forward to purchasing these jeans in other colors and sizes in the future.

I can wear a 24 or 25 in jeans, and opted for the 25 in these because I have super muscular calves compared to the rest of my leg (which poses a problem in all skinny jeans where those that fit my bum and waist will be way too tight on the calves).

They fit snugly like they do on the model, but knowing how low-stretch 501s work, they’ll break in and be perfect in no time. Pro tip for breaking in jeans faster: put them on, hop in the shower, and do some lunges/squats while they’re wet.

I highly recommend these and will keep them forever. They’re the kind of jean you buy when you want to stop buying jeans. Forget fast fashion—buy better, buy less, and specifically, buy these because they’re perfect.

best jeans ever if you have a volleyball player silhouette/more athletic legs. most brands women jeans are designed for fuller hips/larger back side, shorter statue, and zero muscle on thighs:-) I just logged in to order the third pair.

they are pricey but beautifully done, I need size down from what I normally wear (US4 rather than 6), so sizing-wise, I guess, they are on the larger side, but be mindful these jeans are for action rather than extremely tight fit so popular these days.

they were longer than expected (I buy 36), I had to roll up till I washed them 2-3 times – now they are perfect length. It took me 40 years to find brand/cut that fits me so well.

This is my first time purchasing and wearing this brand and I’m in love! Based on the online reviews I sized down and opted for the regular length instead of my usual preference of long. They are perfect! Fit like a dream and very flattering.

THESE HAVE SHRUNK ALL OVER and are no longer wearable. My daughter is a size 0 and regular length normally. She is 5 ft 5 inches and needs a long length. Super cute jeans but too expensive to only wear a couple times.

It’s a long while since I’ve had Levi jeans but I would certainly consider buying them again after wearing these. They are very comfortable, in a really soft denim with just enough stretch. I do have slim legs and hips so the straight leg feels quite relaxed but not too baggy.

This pair are too long for me so I wear them turned up which I don’t mind, but I know I could buy a shorter leg next time. There are obviously less expensive jeans available on the market, but it’s worth considering these if you are after a quality pair which will hopefully last a long time.

I love these Levi’s, not had them before as all the numbers Levi label their jeans with scare me. But I will never look back after trying these 724s they are amazingly comfortable and a little giving.

They keep their shape and just spring back into shape. They are very flattering and give good shape to your bottom always a plus. My only niggle are the front pockets not being very deep and wouldn’t trust a phone or any valuables in them.

Apart from this they are perfect.

I’m really pleased with the look, fit and feel of these jeans. My only concern is that one of my cats caught a claw in them and it caused a thread to be pulled into a little loop. I was able to pull the loop through to the reverse of the fabric, but there’s still a line where the thread has been pulled.

I’ve worn Levis for most of my life and always found them to be really robust and long-lasting, so it’s a bit of a disappointment that this pair will obviously have to be looked after more carefully, and maybe not worn around the house.

I also note that they have to be washed on a maximum temperature of 30 degrees, which means that they can’t be put in my washer’s ‘denims’ programme with our other jeans. It’s because they are only 10% cotton and mostly made of lyocell.

So, they are great trousers, but need to be cared for differently from other types of Levi!.

These jeans are not the normal denim I have bought from Levi’s in the past, they are really soft and very stretchy! I had a baby 5 months ago and they really hold everything in and give a better shape.

They are well fitted (for me) and give a nice casual look with a baggy top. I like the high rise as it gives a lot of support to my lack of core and the stretch let’s me move around the floor in baby classes without hindrance.

I have washed them a couple of times and they have held the shape and colour, no fade yet. I got a size 28 and am a size 10 in most shops at the moment. They are a little gathered at the ankles and I’m 5foot 2inches, I would prefer them to be ankle grazers I think.

Overall it is a really good quality fabric and a lovely fit, I like the stretch in the fabric and for the price I think they are good value and I would buy again but a shorter length.

These are much more like leggings than jeans. They are stretchy and smooth, so they really cling, even in the lower leg. I took a 28 waist, because 29 in Levi’s is usually a bit too big when the denim loosens up, but these are really very very snug and don’t loosen up in the way that other jeans do.

The fabric is called ‘hyperstretch’ and they are shaping and smoothing, made with Tencel. They are high-waisted, but with quite a lot stretch so they feel pretty comfortable. The deconstructed look is not too extreme– just one hole at the knee, some patches of fading, and unhemmed cuffs.

The colour of the denim is great, classic Levi’s.

I’ve been really impressed with these Levi jeans. They are possibly the most comfortable high rise jeans I’ve had, and I feel confident wearing them with both smart and casual tops. They are quite true to size, and help to sculpt my figure.

Throughout summer, I’ve loved paring them with cropped tops and sandals. I was slightly worried that the deconstructed elements would fray too quickly or the loose threads would irritate me, but they really haven’t, and have actually added a nice aesthetic to each outfit.

They seem to wash well initially and still maintain their shape afterwards too, so I guess time will tell if this lasts.

It took a few orders of the same Levi jean in different sizes to get it right! Once I figured out the right size for my curvy body type, clearly these are the best Levi’s and they look amazing on! 5‘4“ tall and this Jean is the perfect length.

As I like to show whatever shoe I’m wearing I always do a 3 inch cuff which then brings them 2 1/2 inches above my ankle bone. My size varies anywhere from a 29-31 / 8, 10, 12 and the 31s are perfect! These wash and dry well! As soon as I put them on they form to my body within 15 minutes! I love that they do not stretch out throughout the day! The compliments I have received wearing these Levi’s jeans has been so gratifying.

The wash only gets better over time! Before wearing them I did wash them at least four times to soften them up & I add a 1/2 cup of vinegar each time. Dark denim or black denim I always add 1/2 cup vinegar & 1/4 cup salt the first 3-4 washes to soften the denim and keep the color… works every time! Levis has done it again! Real Denim Jeans.

As a diehard Rag & Bone, Mother, Frame, 7, AG and Paige jeans fan, I’m late to the Levi’s Wedgie party but I am officially convinced! Bought in the Cloud Bank wash – a perfect mid-tone denim with slight distressing that mimics actual wear.

These Levi’s remind me of the ones I wore in high school, with an updated fit. I also usually avoid the button fly as it adds extra bulk, but don’t mind it as much in this style. Just enough stretch move but also feels like enough cotton to fade beautifully over time.

Super flattering in the rear, thanks to pocket and yoke placement too. I have a smaller waist with wider hips and athletic thighs. I’m 5’8″ and 142 lbs. and the 28×28 (as recommended, sized up from my usual 26 or 27 in other brands) fit perfectly without being tight.

Ok. So here’s the thing. I was (incorrectly) expecting/hoping that these would be a little more vintage-y, a little more. higher quality? I was so excited when I saw the **Levis Wedgie** denim so I bought these expecting the stiff & thick denim and super sculpting fit.

Instead, it’s quite loose/stretchy and paper thin. For $70, I expected better :/ A super weird thing is that the black/gray is WAY worse quality than the love in the mist color. I’d actually recommend the love in the mist, but gray- absolutely not.

I guess at least these are comfortable? For pics reference, I am 5’8″ 150 size 29/30/31 and got a 31.

They are great. They fit well. My only suggestion is to use thicker jean material. They will eventually wear thin before their time between the thighs and then create a tear. It’s the same situation with the blue jean version of the shaping jean.

It’s happened to me once already. They last maybe two years before it happens. That’s wearing them almost daily. I wash them on cold and hang them to dry. The materials Levi uses are becoming lower quality as the years pass.

I’m not sure why they would do that. It only reflects poorly on them as a company.

Have owned several pairs of size 18 over the years, but put on a couple of kgs over COVID and decided to go up a size to a 20 for a bit more roomy comfort. But, turns out the fabric either changes between an 18 and 20 or it’s a newer version of thin, stretchy denim.

Ordered online so couldn’t physically inspect in store but this new pair had little shape around the butt/gut upon first wear and have stretched by a crazy amount after first wear, that they actually just fall straight down.

Of course it’s now difficult to find a size 18/20 belt, will probably try and just alter them myself for a home pair, as I can’t return. Disappointing.

When I put these on, they felt wonderful. Fit well and the length was perfect. When I started to walk around, the pants kept sliding down below my natural waistline and further. I was constantly fighting with the pants to stay up.

I wore them for about 2 hours and couldnt wait to get them off bc it was such a constant struggle to keep them up and on while walking around. I do know to order the next size down when ordering pants with stretch, so the size was not the issue.

I would not recommend this product to anyone.

My favorite pair of jeans!!! Stretchy, comfy, flattering shape for curves. I normally wear a 31 to 32 waist and 32 length. I got a 32 waist cause my last levis were quite tight, they were feom the 700 series.

I found with the 300 series pants, the size is more appropriate to curvy and larger sizes, specifically love the 311 because it tapers to the leg, not quite a skinny jean, a comfortable version. I could definitely fit at 31 but i kept the 32.

I love the dark wash on these jeans, the colour will come off by touch when you first get them. If you wash with vinegar i heard it stops the colour from running, havent had a chance to try it yet. But definitely super flattering, had alot of comments already, worn 2 times.

Good balance between stretch and weight of material. The material is a heavier weight than other fashion jeans and I have found that they don’t become loose and sag as the day goes on. I normally buy Saba jeans but I thought I would try these ones.

I was happily surprised and hence now I have them in 2 colours. It’s also great to be able to select a shorter leg length. The black is a really dark black colour too.

If this is the replacement pair for the one I ordered earlier. I love them! Was not aware that the first pair did not have an elastic back so the waist was too big. Had to return it. I replaced the returned pair with two others that did have the elastic back waist.

I already own an elastic back pair of black stretch jeans from Blair and LOVE them! Ordered another 2 pairs, (white and washed denim). Very happy with Blair apparel in general. Too bad Blair no longer offers the coordinated matching embroidered knit top and matching sweat pant sets any longer.

Some of the long sleeve embroidered matching sets were zip front (like a sweat jacket) others were simply pull over heavy duty (sweat) knit tops with matching sweat pants for comfortable winter wear.

Some sweat pant sets had hemmed bottoms, other the standard elastic bottoms on the pants. Also, Blair knit pants are generous in length. Other heavy duty knit pants shrink in wash/dryer and become too short over time.

I have always bought these jeans with great outcome. The size 12 has always been my go to. But after reading other reviews I wanted to pay attention to where the items were made compared to fit. First I decided to buy up one size following previous reviews.

The pkg arrived with two pair being made in Sri Lanka and one marked Indonesia. They all fit, however, quite snug for a 14. so glad I didn’t order a 12. The Sri Lanka pairs were longer and more snug than the Indonesia pair.

It was a little fuller cut, not so much in the waist, but thighs. then it is about an inch shorter. All this being said I’ve never been hung up on size, I buy what fits my body. These are still a good fit as most other “average” length jeans will be 29″ at best and tend to be short on me.

I am 5’5″ and 165lbs. Long legs and short body. 😠sometimes frustrating when looking for jeans. Some better monitoring of size consistency would be nice with these favorites. And thank you for not making them high waisted!.

I am very picky when it comes to the pants I wear, especially jeans. So I was curious to see if this Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Classic Jeans would work for me. I choose a size up so that they would be loose in the thighs even though this would probably make then really big in the waist depending on where they sat.

I am on the tall end of the petite scale which is frustrating so I decided to try the average length instead as well. These jeans are supposed to have a tapered leg but thankfully they were not too tapered as they were nice and loose all throughout my legs.

These jeans are supposed to have a classic rise and I thought they landed nicely on my waist as I prefer a higher rise waist line. These jeans are supposed to have supreme stretch and I feel that they do since they are made from 71% cotton, 27% polyester, and 2% spandex even though I prefer jeans made from 100% cotton.

I really enjoy wearing these Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Classic Jeans and they will be one of my go-to pairs when I want to wear a pair of jeans.

First of all, the jeans came within 2 days which is already amazing. I was worried about the length since I’m 5’8, but when I tried them on they fit alll the way to my ankle!! I saw these jeans on a video on Facebook and the girl in video had my body shape! I decided to purchase two pairs of the story jeans in light wash and dark wash. The delivery was fast and I was expecting a delay because of covid-19.

Love the fit, length, and feel. I’m 5’9” 173lbs slender build and these are still long enough. They are not a thick rigid material, soft with good stretch. If you have booty and hips they will likely fit differently.

I don’t have either…I digress. I try to look at reviews to gauge if I should buy but it seems like some people just want to complain no matter what so I took a chance so I could just see for myself. Glad I did these work for me.

Once I bought exactly this model in store. And it was my favorite jeans until the end. But model pretty old so I’ve started to search it on internet. Was really disappointed because color, material, cut, fit – everything is different than my first one.

Material is very stretchy, much thinner than was before. color looks cheap and poor. Of course going back.

These jeans are amazing! They fit my 11yr old daughter perfectly! They are soft and stretchy just the right amount. I will be purchasing more in this exact style for her and myself in different colors.

Levi’s an all-time classic. I measured my daughter at home first then chose her size based on the chart. Highly recommend.

I’m 38 but re-discovered A&F jeans recently. I really like them, they fit very well and I love the Xtra short length since I’m 5’1 (117 lbs, muscular). There’s a lot right with these jeans but where they miss the mark is the heft of the denim.

It’s too thin. Doesn’t keep its shape and end up a size bigger at the end of the day. I wish they would use thicker high quality denim because the rise, pockets. Fit and length are perfect.

Color is so cute for the summer! The waist is a little big, but they fit perfect on my thighs and butt so couldn’t size down. Maybe a cute belt will help! The material is a real Jean, thick material! they are good.

My new fav for jeans and shorts too. Just wish the waist fit a little more snug and didn’t stretch out overtime! I will say my size is a bit bigger on Abercrombie then American Eagle. Usually an 8/10 at AE but i get a 12 here! So beware of that.

I lost 20 lbs last yr that i never realized i had to lose. My AG size 27 finally just got too big. I went to at least a 26 AG. These were white so decided on the 27 so they didn’t look like white leggings on me.

They were like a 24…seriously…SO small. Terribly disappointed. Maybe it’s the brand. Never owned a pair of these. Just know that measuring against my size 26 AG, they easily measured a 24. Tags showed 27.

These jeans were a risk for me. I don’t do leather pants or faux leather leggings, but I went out on a limb and ordered these. Glad I did! The color and fit are extremely flattering (and I’m 69), quite slimming, and will work with a number of items I already own.

I am 5’4″ and did need to have them shortened 2″. I weigh 152 lbs. and wore a size 31 in these jeans. I also bought the Vagabond Shoemakers “Betsy” in brown to go with them (one reviewer’s reference to Hedi Slimane was the deal maker).

Flattering fit. Especially love the navy and the dark green color. Coated jeans are the best. I don’t usually wear jeans but I love these. The coating makes them nicer. Good for all ages and weights.

Great with blazer for work or dressy top for night out or t-shirt for casual. I have never had so many compliments on jeans before. Slightly cropped is more flattering than the longer styles. Classic.

With a name like “tumbleweed” and the color int he picture I assumed these pants were a tan khaki color. They are not. More like a mossy mushroom.

The Lafayette tailoring is always excellent, but these jeans made me realize the curvy fit does make a difference to me. I ended up with the coated fabric by mistake, but decided to keep them for dressier events.

That said, I never pay full price!.

Wow, these waxed jeans fit amazingly well! So well in fact that I bought the Indigo and Black colors. I washed them and they still look amazing and the fit is still amazing. The straight leg and length is perfect for me and the waist is in the appropriate place.

I really hope that Lafayette continues making these great fitting jeans.

I pretty much only buy designer jeans. I saw these and liked the idea that they have a cooling component to them. When I received them, I put them on and took my dogs for a walk, it was still about 85 degrees here.

They are comfortable, stretchy, and flattering. I’d of been more comfortable in shorts, but I wasn’t as hot as I’d of been in regular jeans. The wash is beautiful, they look more expensive than they are, even at full price.

As far as fit, I’m usually a 28-30 in designer jeans. I bought these in the 29 and they are comfortable, also bought a 28 and those are more form fitting. I am keeping them both because my weight fluctuates.

These are the jeans that you can wear every day and never compromise style, no matter where you go. I have 2 pairs of these and one pair of the lined jeans for biking on cold days and absolutely love them.

Immediately told multiple family members about them, and also bought a few pairs of Duer pants for my husband. He loves his too. Fantastic quality, cut, fit with stretch without getting slouchy, and now I don’t have to decide between jeans and other pants to bike in.

Also love that they’re a Canadian company! 5’5″, 115 lbs, opted for the 25 x 31’s because I wanted the bottom cuff to go right to my ankle.

I bought two pairs of the same size at the same time, one grey and one blue. The grey ones arrived first and I could not fit into them at all even though they were my size! I thought I had gotten bigger?? But then days later the blue ones arrived and when I tried them on they fit fine.

I had a store location near me, so I decided to get an exchange at the store. The store told me that I’m not the only person having issues with the grey ones, and other people have been having the same complaint.

For some reason the grey ones run 1-2 sizes too small! If I hadn’t bought the blue ones at the same time I never would have gotten to do this comparison.
