20 Best Dermapen For Hair Loss (2023 Updated)

I bought this device about a year and a half ago, used it once on my pitted acne scars on my chest and months later the results were better than expected. It didn’t completely eliminate the scars just softened them a bit which is to be expected after just one at home treatment.

My PIE almost completely faded as well. (red acne scars) I went to college and kinda forgot about the device. I had a couple more replacement needle heads left so I decided to give it another go tonight since I’m home from college and the battery still works! Almost 2 years later and it works like new.

You can either get one professional treatment or multiple at home treatments that have the same results as professionals if done right. Just need to be religious with your routine the following months to help your skin heal at its absolute best.

I’d recommend Hyaluronic Acid + Red Light Therapy. (Only if you can afford to buy one of these expensive red lights. ).

I love this micropen and have had it for over a year. My only complaint is that sometimes the needle head pops out when I am using the pen at the deepest levels. I use a new head for each treatment every 4 weeks from September to May when I microneedle.

Not all of the needle heads do this, but I never know when I do my monthly treatment if I am going to have one that pops off while I am microneedling. I end up tossing it and having to open another packageti insert so I am going through more needles heads.

I have put the needle head in correctly. I am not sure if this is a defect of my pen or the needle heads. I microneedle on the pink level that vibrates the fastest. The instructions say nothing about depth of needle and speed limits.

Anyone else had this happen?.

I have been researching a LOT about the benefits of microneedling – and recently, research has shown that more superficial needling produces AMAZING results in texture of skin. I purchased the ORA Electric microneedler and these heads, and I needle my face twice per week.

Slowly, I am starting to see the fruits of my labor, after about 3 months. This is a fantastic tool for at home use, if you want to give yourself a facial. I apply a hyalauronic serum to my face before I needle, to allow slippage, and then I put on my serums after I am done – takes about 5 minutes.

It is so superficial that there is no bleeding – just a bit of redness. I needle my entire face and most of my neck, and can put makeup on after and walk out the door. Keep it in your routine and you will see results, if used, consistently!.

To begin, I didn’t mean to purchase this new version of ORA’s pen, but I clicked on a bookmark I saved for the pen and it took me to this one. I ordered it very late at night and didn’t realize till later that it was a different model.

The pen itself is nicely designed – streamline yet looks sturdy. However, I tried this twice and will not be using again. I’ve had microneedling on my face before and it was nothing like what happened with this pen.

This particular pen (don’t know if I got a lemon or not) did not seem to seat the needle cartridge properly, evenly – felt like it was in there at an angle. The pen felt more like it was scraping my skin as opposed to micro-puncturing/needling it.

The other reviewer described it as dragging and maybe that’s what she meant too. I do know that it’s not supposed to feel like that. I tried the extra cartridge it comes with to see if it was a faulty cartridge, but it was the same and It also rattled after a couple of minutes of use.

Worst part is – I did not see the improvement and soft plumped skin I saw from previous micro-needling. Instead my skin became like sandpaper and felt really really dry and dehydrated for a week. This is the opposite of my past and expected result.

I tried both a. 03 setting and approx. 045 setting and felt virtually no difference between the them. That’s not right. Note: I also purchased a box of the extra needle cartridges by ORA, but they do not fit this pen.

Double fail. I will have to return this order.

Love this tool… I was unsure how the do-it-yourself version of a salon treatment would go but everything from operation to execution of this dermapen was easier than expected! I started seeing results in just three days and saved I don’t know how many oodles of dollars doing this at home instead of a trip to the spa.

For anyone on the just starting, just start on the lightest and slowest setting until you get the hang of how the pen glides. It’s SUPER intuitive once you go for it.

I’ve had my eye on getting a derma pen for a while and when it went on sale I couldn’t resist. I’ve only used it twice so far and impressed with the results. It actually feels like the treatment I’ve received from a med spa.

I’m working on my technique and find it easier than expected. Definitely happy with this purchase.

I would just like to say I luv luv luuuuuv this pen. I used the pen on my mother her results are gonna take some time being that she has mature skin. I also used the pen on myself and might I add that I am esthetician.

I used to be like when ppl would complain about ouch it hurts yeah right. Well it does not feel good and no I did not use numbing cream I did not have any to use. I will try and find some next time. Once I got finished, whew a burning sensation, and this only lasted I think about an hour or 2.

Next day it was tight like I had gotten a chem peel. Around about the 3rd/4th it was like very rough skin and 5th day I started peeling like I had gotten a chem peel. Was not as itchy as a chem peel but I did want to pull the skin off.

After it was all said and done I finished with beautifully glowing skin. 😍😍 I luv it and can’t wait to do it again.

I have been micro-needling for 3 years using a roller. I did a lot of research on this and have had great results, but I hated the waste of throwing away an entire roller after a few uses. So I started researching the Dr Pen and found one at Walmart.

com, which I bought at an amazing price. I am extremely happy with my purchase. The results are wonderful and now I only have to throw out a small cartridge instead of a roller. A word of caution to those thinking about purchasing this device, please please do your research before using it, and make sure you are getting good instructions from reliable sources.

I saw so much bad information out there when I was researching how to use the Dr Pen. This is your skin and you do not want to damage it, but if you follow proper protocol and sanitation measures, you can definitely achieve great results too.

Bottom-line: I am extremely happy with my Dr Pen and with the speed that Walmart got it to me.

I actually stopped buying things off groupon due to this and I was a major customer. I don’t want to waiste big amounts of money on bad companies. I did see a lot of reviews that people were getting used or broken pens.

But I figured even if they would do something so stupid groupon would make them stop by that time. I was silly. I was disappointed the bag for the pen had a hole in it when I opened it. That was a clear alert it was used.

Oh well if it was used. I really wanted to not wait forever again. I was so excited waiting for the numbing cream. That it said to get online to use with it. I got the numbing cream. Numbed my face watched the videos of how to.

I started it and it did not even work and it came apart ion the middle. I played with it thinking this can’t be right. I can not see them sending me junk. My husband checked it out well and said its broken for sure.

It was already past return time. Waiting for the numbing cream. I was furious and lost alot of money. Them purposely sending me a used pen. Every time I get in my drawer I see it and get very upset.

I used IsoPropyl Alcohol to disinfect this and the black paint is bubbling off. I’ve only used it a couple of times so can’t see a growth difference, but does what it says it does.

This tool is amazing ! It tingles my scalp and I can see a bunch of baby hairs coming along. So glad I purchased it ! You won’t be disappointed

Bondi Boost Really Works!! I would buy Bondi Boost again and again a user for life never have I tried a product that works as good as this does.

I am not sure what med spas typically use for micro-needling but I did a lot of research and this is the exact tool that I have seen others use. I have only tried this on the low setting twice and I have seen improvements with my skin.

I will continue to work my way up to really see if there will be improvement. So far. so good! Really glad I was able to find this as an inexpensive way to keep my skin looking great.

This was my first purchase of a micro needling pen. I choose this one because it is wired. Plus it has so many ****** configuration available and has settings all the way to3. 0!, which is used on the body.

I was a little skeptical at first because I’ve used other derma rollers and just the way this one operates it feels as though maybe the needles aren’t hitting the scalp as easily because of the borders of the roller.

But since that initial thought I’ve gone on to use it for a few weeks now and it works well. I’m not concerned. This is a derma roller you can trust as being high quality. Very hard to find one you can trust.

Fantastic device! Actually feels a little ticklish to use, feels quite pleasant. Can see a difference after a month or so, I suppose hair takes a while of growing to be noticeable. But I can 100% see less scalp and more hair!.

This dermapen is wonderful! I’ve debated on having microneedling done professionally, but decided to try at home myself. This brand is affordable and seems to work pretty good. I’ve watched videos on microneedling and read the directions on this device so it made things easier for me when doing this for the first time at home.

I used a serum to help the pen glide easier. My forehead was the area that was the most red which is normal. The next day after first treatment my redness has went away to almost none. Glad I purchased this brand!.

I am loving this product, it is really amazing, from the first day you see a change in the skin, super hydrated, smooth and without enlarged pores. And the best of all is that as the days go by you see how your acne marks or withered skin diminish.

This product is amazing if I could give it 6 stars I would. I had hyperpigmentation on my arms and nothing I tried could significantly reduce it. After only 2 sessions of this microneedling device I saw more than a 60% improvement.

Way cheaper on here than on Amazon. This has enough cartridges for me to use for a years session in micro-needling. This does work and after two sessions Ive clearly seen some improvements on my scars

I’ve had this for over a year and I still use and love it! I use it weekly at a lower setting before serums and it makes a huge difference! Once a month or so I will turn it up and do a deep session and it benefits my skin like no other! I love this pen and can’t do without!!!!.

So the roller itself is easily 4/5 stars. Seems well made, etc. But the package sold really should include some sanitizer. It’s mentioned in the included instructions, and the recommended video. However, it wasn’t clear to me what I was supposed to sanitize it with (isopropyl alcohol apparently).

I was pretty irked because I didn’t have any and wasn’t aware that was something I needed. It’s not expensive, or hard to get, but it did mean I couldn’t use it until I poked around online to figure out what to sanitize it with (and then go find some) Maybe it’s obvious to some people, but I’m not known for my common sense haha At the time of my purchase it wasn’t mentioned on the site that I needed it, and the instructions referenced it almost as if it was included in the box, which really confused my simple mind.

TLDR, solid product, go buy some isopropyl alcohol, in a spray bottle if you can, because you need it.

Had it 3 weeks doesn’t seem to really do anything. No new growth, no thicker growth. Same Ol same Ol. Just has a nice sleek look to the product that’s about it. Wasn’t worth 35$ thats for sure

The new roller is awesome. I was already using one that I had ordered to use alongside the Beard Club products. Once I saw they had their own up for preorder, I immediately jumped on it. The handle is metal and feels great in-hand and I appreciate that the needles are.

I have only used once and WOW the results are incredible thus far. Used only on my stomach for stretch marks and loose skin (2 years Postpartum) my stomach never recovered from. One treatment in and my skin has tightened dramatically, stretch marks less noticeable, and it only took a few days for the redness to go away.

Highly recommend this!! I wish I had used this sooner. Im not comfortable posting my before and after photos but the change is 110% noticeable.

Start slow and you will love this product! I have had micro and nanoneedling before and you ALWAYS start at the lowest level with the needle height for your first treatment and then you can go from there.

Some of us have more sensitive skin and starting with the lowest level really helps you see where you should take your next treatments. I was super happy to find the SORA at Walmart and just give it a try.

I really like that this SORA microneedling pen come with two attachments, one for thicker skin and one for more precise/sensitive areas. Just a heads up that you have to throw away the heads right after using them, so after you use the 3 heads that come with the pen, you have to purchase more from the website.

I’ve been on fin/min for about 4 years now and it has definitely helped my situation. I’d say my hairline and the top of my head has stabilized and allowed me to grow my hair out longer than I did when I was more losing hair.

Within the last 10 months I switched to DS labs proprietary Nanoxidil to replace my Minoxidil from another company. While the application for that (and it’s hair gel-like properties) are a bit different the results are the same (so no complaints) HOWEVER it’s been 6 weeks with the StimuROLLER and I’m actually seeing new hair sprout up! Since my hair is longer it looked strange seeing baby hairs poke up on my hairline and the top of my head but with patience (or a short haircut) I think this would be fine.

I’ve been doing it consistently now once a week and I’m very happy to finally see some reversing in my hair loss. Curious to see how much will grow back with this method over time. So now I’m on fin.

I’m still using one of DS labs Nanoxidil formulas. And I use the dermaroller device every Sunday night. The quality seems on par with what I’ve seen in stores but I’ve been pretty happy with DS labs line of products so far so I’m sticking with them for at least another year.

I started losing hair 7 years and I look more full than I did after the first couple of years not knowing what to do about it.

The stimuroller looks like a special tool for regrowing hair because of how it feels and the ability to control how or where you want your hair to grow, if you don’t want the prescription style. But I find the stimuroller less effective even with addiction of hair wash and comb.

The amount of effort I’ve putting with the stimuroller doesn’t seem to give a reasonable result. Some part of my head have no hair. While some are very tiny bit. I can’t say wether the stimuroller needs time or not.

I’ve boughten two of the stimuroller in almost two months that lasted about a week/half before they became less efficient. Because of the price and effectiveness in the stimuroller, I am not sure of how far to go with it.

I was apprehensive prior to micro-needling for the first time, because of well. the whole repeatedly stabbing your head thing. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience of using the 1mm and. 5mm rollers.

Although the 1mm causes my scalp to bleed a fair amount, the pain is nowhere close to what the internet led me to believe. I think it’s still too early to see meaningful results (I’ve been rolling every 2-3 days with the.

5mm and every 2 weeks with the 1mm for a month now), but I am starting to see some new hairs pop up. Only downside is that the. 5mm seems to be dulling pretty quickly—a fact that points to this being a somewhat pricy ongoing treatment option.

Will stick with it for now. Optimistic about my experience so far.

5mm derma roller and also it’s a slight discomfort, I love it! Your skin looks glowy and dewy immediately after and a little bit red but I do mine at night so by the morning this has gone. I apply a stem cell serum before and after for a more comfortable application and product absorption.

It only takes 5 minutes and after a couple of times you get used to how much pressure to apply etc. I watched an official video on YouTube before using to get a better idea of how and when to use it which was really helpful.

Let me start by saying how skeptical I have always been of beauty tools like this. I mean, really?! But, I spend a bomb on all the fancy face lotions and potions so after a friend continuously raved about this microneedling tool, I decided to give it a try, especially as the price is pretty reasonable.

Oh my gawd, I’m blown away! I love this thing! My skin has changed dramatically and I believe it has a lot to do with being able to better absorb my expensive lotions because of this little tool. I’m 41 and struggle with dull-looking skin even a couple of days after a facial but no more.

It even seems to have “plumped up” my skin as well. I had to write a review as I’m ecstatic! Do yourself a favor and buy this.

I wanted to try micro needling and this is brilliant. The quality of the tool, the ease of use, the packaging to keep it in it is fantastic. Not really noticed much difference yet (using 3 times a week for around 3 weeks).

I will continue to use for around another 2 months then go up to a larger needle. Great product.

This device works but takes some time to get used to. This is the second kind of microneedling device I have used at home. To charge the device you plug it in, and it takes about an hour to charge. During charging time, I read about the device and watched the video on how to use it.

My first time using the device something went wrong. It didn’t work the way it should have. The liquid did not want to come out of the microneedle cartridge and the cartridge seemed lose on the device, but no matter how I tried to get it in, it would not stay put.

Each cartridge is one time use. The second time I used the device it worked just as it should. I love that there are different speed settings that help if you are just starting out and helps those with more experience.

You can give yourself three treatments with this set and then you need to buy refills after that which can get expensive. This device works, but there are too much waste and extra costs associated to it.

This device does what it claims it will do. After treatments my skin looks plump, energized and just renewed. It’s a noticeable difference if it’s done correctly. I do however wish the kit came with more juice as i go through it pretty fast.

I’m so glad I was able to try it but as for recommending it…i would advise buyers about the ongoing cost. You will have to purchase liquid for it to work correctly which are spendy. Also I was worried this would be painful but I had no pain from treatments.

My face just feels like it has a little sunburn after for a bit. I’m satisfied with the results but not sure yet if I will purchase refills of the serum to continue with treatments. Gifted by FaceGym.

I’m so excited for my first microneeding device. I did a through search online for all the information about how to use the micro needing device and what results am I expected to have. When I received and used this product I was impressed by its gentle touch and it’s design.

It also come with Vitamin Ampoules to use along with Facegym electric microneedling device. It helps to reduce my wrinkle , dark circles, fine lines and I’m hoping for my blackhead as well. I’ll continue to use it to see more results on that.

I can’t wait for the final results ,let’s see what it comes out in months later ! I’m enjoying it now , a at home facial experience.
