20 Best Deodorant For Stinky Armpits (2023 Updated)

I live in Florida so it not only gets REALLY hot & humid & sometimes you just feel like you’re melting. I’ve tried natural deodorants before, a bunch of kinds that are sold in store & also some found on reputable online stores & some seemed to work at first especially in the ‘winter’ here.

They would actually work nicely, until it started to get hotter outside or I did a good workout where I sweat heavily then. not so much :insert yuck face here: It is technically fall season now but we’re still really hot here in FL & have had temps that are summer like for the past week.

I did just start using this stuff 4 or so days ago & I was hesitant to purchase b/c of the price & the possibility of it not working. I’ve already done some good sweating while wearing this & when I’ve “checked” if I stink or not I either smell nothing or a hint of the deodorant! So far, so good!! I hope my skin continues to like it as well.

It does tingle or sting at times of application (I typically apply soon after taking a shower) & sometimes when you sweat too but no lasting effects & no burning either, but I would heed caution if you have extra sensitive skin.

The reason for the 4 stars is the tingle/sting after application & the wide angle of the spray too, you have to be careful not to spray in your face! I have been looking in the mirror so I don’t accidentally get too much in my face.

I hope they make this in another scent too in the future, it would be great to have options but this one smells great too! Also for reference I have been using degree motionsense for a long time because in this climate it works really great but has such harsh chemicals in it so I’m really hoping I found my new one & only deodorant to use all year round!!.

I recently started taking a medication that has the unfortunate side effect of making me rather smelly, and makes my skin more sensitive. For months I have been trying to find something that works and isnt irritating.

The first day I used base layer, I was practically in tears because it immediately worked so well. I think what makes this so effective is that the base layer keeps my pits dry. Like for reals dry, which none of the other deodorants I’ve used seem to do.

I am not self conscious anymore about being around people and smelling ripe and the irritation my poor pits endured over the last few months is already clearing up. I am totally in love with this deodorant.

I recently transitioned into using natural deodorants and have found a few that work quite well. I heard from a friend that this deodorant worked for her but it doesn’t work for me at all – at all! I almost immediately smell under my arms, and I’m not a sweaty person so it’s very bizarre and frustrating.

Obviously you cannot return deodorant and it’s fairly expensive so I continue to use it, much to the dismay of my boyfriend, (and myself!). I keep hoping it will adjust to my body and maybe work, but to no avail.

I definitely will be sticking with one of the other brands I tried. Disappointing since I like this brand for other products.

I’ve been using the deodorant for several years now and I can tell you that it is absolutely amazing! Before I discovered this product, I was in the search for a deodorant that was aluminum free and that will help my stinky armpits throughout the day.

It was so hard to find a product out there in the market. And one day I was watching the show Shark Tank and I saw the creators of this product on the show. That is how I decided to give this product a try in hopes of it working.

I’m so glad that I found it! I’ve been using this product and it is great for my armpits and it definitely controls any stinky smelly armpit. My armpits can get irritated from time to time with other deodorants, but this deodorant has not irritated my armpits and it makes me feel confident when I’m running around without worrying that I will be stinky.

I’ve used this deodorant in its different packaging. My preference is the deodorant when it’s inside the glass jar and I recently noticed that the company has switched from glass jar to recycled plastic material jar.

Ive also use the stick form of this deodorant and I’m taking one star off because the stick form of this deodorant was not as effective as the product that I use when it was inside the glass jar. I wish I could included all photos I have with this review, so that you all can see I’ve purchased from this company and the different packing the deodorants come in, so that you all can see that I’ve really have been using these products for several years and ours hard it with my own money (nope Not sponsored).

The stick form deodorant I had to constantly reapply because the deodorant was just not working as effectively and I do not know why. With the deodorant when it was packaged in the jar I only had to apply it once per day and I would not get stinky where with the deodorant that’s in the plastic stick form I did have to reapply 2 to 3 times per day because I do get pretty stinky.

Overall this is a great product, and yes, I use the word stinky a lot in this review, but i really want to make it a point that it is a great product and if you use it in the correct packaging that is beneficial to you, then definitely try it out! It’s just the stick form deodorant that did not work out as good for me.

I recently just purchased the deodorant in it’s new packaging in the plastic container and I just hope that it does not affect the way the deodorant/product performs in my armpits. Wishing this company the very best because it has created an amazing product.

Fair warning, I will honorably discuss my own BO in this review. Reader, prepare. I give this product one star because of its lack of doing what it is advertised to do. The packaging was cute, and the texture wasn’t bad.

However, when it comes to odor control this fell far short from most other natural deodorants I have used. I read the product description before purchase and was aware I would need to reapply after a workout or anything else that made me sweat a lot.

I was not prepared to need to reapply this deodorant multiple times a day, nor for the odor control to last, on average, two hours. I discovered the need swiftly, as the scent of onions was brought to my attention (by my own senses and those of my poor husband).

I could spend a day inside, doing the bare minimum, and still stink within the first few hours of application. I’d wake up stinking after applying before bed. I’d run a single errand and leave the store clamping my arms to my side, for fear of others discovering my misfortune.

For those of the reviewers that say this odor control works, congratulations. I have no idea how. Although my review may seem otherwise, I have rarely smelled my own BO with any another natural deodorant, but this one…SHEW.

I am writing in the hopes of saving someone else from my (overly)sensational experience. While I believe that everyone has the right to choose their own path, I want to remind you all that the road you choose could lead to a bucket full of onions.

This doesn’t work at all like the potted version and I have several issues with it. Firstly, it’s very difficult to spread onto the skin. It’s currently summer where I live, yet the formula is so solid and stiff that it sort of hurts and pulls at my underarm skin when applying.

And it always beads up after several hours and rolls off of my skin! I keep finding little pieces of it on my bed sheets, a problem I can’t remember ever having with any other deodorant. Oh, and the packaging gets really messy just from regular use and application (not to mention how incredible clunky it is — is that much plastic really necessary??).

Finally, it doesn’t even do its job as a deodorant. I am constantly stinky while using this. I have quite a bit of this product left after only using it for a few weeks, but I think I will have to throw it away because it’s just that bad.

Not sure where PiperWai went wrong with this — the version in the little jar is truly one of my favorites.

I was really nervous on buying this as I wasn’t sure if it would make me smell more BUT I was wrong! It is a light, clean smell! I did learn after the first application that you do have to warm it up a bit to glide on easier as it doesn’t just spread on right away so I do swipe a bit under each armpit to ensure it’s coated enough! It does go on white and transfers onto clothes if not careful; but, I don’t find that an issue.

I made the switch because my Secret deodorant was making me ITCH, after I read the description on this I was sold. I was already purchasing the belly oil so found this as a bonus to add on and try. I will not be using another deodorant! It is a great size to travel with and I love the look! Thank you for an amazing product geared towards my crazy hormones.

I’ve been trying natural options for over a year and this is amazing. I was struggling with irritation, discoloration and skin tags from the other ones I tried. Between using this and the smooth scrub to exfoliate, everything has cleared up! It’s also the best one yet at actually protecting against odor.

It also doesn’t feel like too much to put on multiple times.

I had skin irritation and BO after my pregnancy and nothing seemed to work! In order to calm my irritation, I stopped wearing deodorant all together, but the smell really bothered me. I never had this problem before my pregnancy so I can only assume it’s from hormones.

I was at my wits end until I came across this product! I have to admit, it’s way more than I’d like to pay for a deodorant, but it’s the only thing that has worked for me!.

The deodorant was ok. I depend on deodorant to work and work without fail because I put it to the test! I live in the South where it’s hot and I’m not a lightweight in size. Even under the air conditioner, I’m always hot and just shy of sweaty.

Perhaps it’s hormones who knows! Being middle aged could have a lot to do with the effects as well. This one had me feeling like I needed to reapply it about twice a day. While it didn’t let me down, it didn’t leave me feeling confident with its ability either.

You know that feeling when your deodorant is just right , and you just know you won’t have to “sweat” (pun intended:) it for rest of the day and you can focus on tasks at hand that are more pressing without worry? Well this did not do that for myself.

It felt like I didn’t have enough on in spite of heavily applying. In the end it never did let me down so that’s why it got 4 stars. If you’re what would be considered normal when it comes to sweat level, this will be just fine for you.

If you are like me , and NEED the deodorant to earn it’s place in your life, then you may not want to use this one. Then again it’s not a waste of money because it did work, so really you could try it and I’m sure it would work no matter what as long as you reapply it as needed.

This is hands down the best deodorant I’ve ever used. Absolutely no body odor, even if I go a couple of days without a shower. But there’s one big caveat: the scent you buy is EVERYTHING. I tried this in lime before, and it was honestly disgusting.

Gotta go for the warm woodsy scents with this brand! Silver spruce has been magic.

I was very sceptical about this product but decided to try it anyway. I have a disorder that gives off a bad oder when I sweat. I haven’t found any deodorant that would work past 4 hours. This product works far better than I could have imagined.

I used Lume after my bath last night. It has been 15 hours and I gave washed floors and cleaned pens and there is no oder. You can’t miss with Lume.

I never thought that I would spend this much on deoderant. I’m glad that I took the leap and made the purchase. It does exactly what it says it will do. Works great on my very smelly feet. The smell is a little strange at first but quickly disappeared after application.

It only takes a small amount to get great results. The smell is not overwhelming.

At first I started using the Vanilla deoderant and was not seeing many issues, I tried this scent as an armpit deoderant. I thought the smell was putrid at first, but thought it would go away with time like the Vanilla did.

It was not until my husband commented that I noticed how long the horrible smell of the lavender scent lasted. It did not smell like lavender either. It is meant to help with the bacteria and such we get in our armpits, but when putting this on right after a shower, I found that the not so pleasant smell smelled worse than my natural armpit.

I switched back to my other brand deoderant and sadly will not be putting my pack of deoderants I bought from Christmas to use. I also wanted to note that although I also liked the Vanilla at first, I noticed after a few weeks of use that my armpit was becoming naturally more smelly than before.

I did not think much about it until the lavender made the same smell. Perhaps this type of deoderant does not work well with my body. I have seen other reviewers comment similar situations though so I am unsure.

I really did want this deoderant to be a game changer for me.

I bought this for winter because when the pipes freeze I have limited showers and thought it would be helpful but I had no idea how life changing it would be. I have had horribly sweaty feet since I was a teenager which has resulted in a constant battle with pitted keratolysis and smelly feet no matter how often I changed socks or washed my feet or sprayed deodorant or applied other foot care products.

It’s especially bad in winter when I’m wearing rubber snow boots. When I got it I noticed it said feet on the tube and thought it couldn’t hurt to try. That night, my socks had zero smell. Like fresh out of the laundry.

Fast forward a week of daily use and the pits in my soles and itch were gone. Baby smooth, scentless feet. I’m in awe. I’ve been embarrassed and constantly washing and hiding my feet for 20 years and in a week it all changed.

I’ll be using this forever! P. s. it works great everywhere else too, I’m impressed I have zero scent even after working outside bundled up all day.

So this does smell offensive when you first put it on but it fades and eventually smells like nothing. I am noticing that certain days I smell like stinky armpit no matter what deodorant I use. I almost sent this stuff back but read a little more into the Biofilm info on the website.

Basically, if your clothes (armpit areas) are already colonized with bacteria, it will start to smell bad when you sweat no matter what because it’s embedded in the clothes. It’s hard to get the bacteria out and just washing your clothes does not take care of the problem.

So it’s not me that sticks, it’s the shirt. I’ve found that when I wear a new shirt, I don’t stink and the product works great. I think it’s just time to retire the same 5 shirts I wear with my scrubs every week and the smell will be gone.

I don’t miss the antiperspirant effect of my old deodorant. I feel great when I wear just the Lume. :).

First of all, I live in the desert where the summers reach 110 – 112 degrees. I used to use Degree that’s in the solid, but it seems my body has gotten used to it so then, I started using Dove dry sprays and for years, those sprays have worked for me, up until a few weeks where it stopped working.

My sweat from my underarms would seep through my tshirts and sadly, stain them. So, in frustration, I buy the Clinical Protection. (Which BTW, is $11!) It worked alittle but odor from sweat crept in and I was really feeling defeated.

Then I come across this deodorant and figured “It’s by Arm and Hammer, it’s cheap, and it seems to have notes which I’m very interested in” (Rosemary Lavender) The next day I apply it — It does have a very light scent (Maybe masculine to some but it doesn’t bother me, I’m a 31 year old woman).

By now, an hour goes by, 2, 3 and im noticing something big here… I’m not drenched or smelly under my arms. It’s DRY! This is the first deodorant I’ve ever bought in my life where I didn’t have to reapply.

Im gonna buy a few more of these just in case any formula changes in near future. Highly recommend to anyone with excessive sweating in summer.

i ordered online for the cardboard packaging and there is plastic inside of it, which is honestly pointless. i haven’t used it yet but i am very disappointed to see that it does have plastic packaging.

it doesn’t smell like i would’ve imagined with a title of surfs up, its kind of like sun screen and baby powder but both not in a good way?.

i love this deo!! i’ve been searching for one that is not too fragrant but still keeps me from smelling bad, and this one’s perfect. i love that it’s all natural, too. i definitely recommend you get your hands on this deodorant.
