20 Best Dental Spray For Dogs (2023 Updated)

Got this for a 14-year-old toy poodle whose teeth are as you\’d expect at that age. I\’ve used it for almost a week, and am seeing an improvement already. As directed, I\’ve sprayed on the outer sides of the teeth.

I\’ve also used some gauze to gently massage off any debris and I think this product works better than brushing alone. It definitely improves breath as well. So far, the dog has not had any adverse effects.

I was pleased that the product does not have any heavy or minty scent (which I think would bother any dog). He seems to like it, not bothered at all by the sprayer (make sure you shield above with your hand when using).

I wanted to hold off on writing this review until I’ve used this product sufficiently, and I have now been using it on my dog consistently since mid-July. When I bought this, my pup had noticeable tartar stains on her back teeth and front fangs.

I’ve been applying this spray at night time 3-6 times a week paired up with teeth brushing and she absolutely loves the taste so she now sits nicely and waits for the spraying. I have definitely noticed a huge change, it’s like the tartar has just fallen off.

Though it’s important to have the realistic expectation that it won’t happen immediately. I’ve been using this for 5 months now and I can’t say exactly when I noticed the big changes, but it did take some time.

Also, I can’t say for certain if this should replace teeth brushing as I’ve been doing that at the same time. However, there are many times when I just don’t have the time or energy to fight my pup with the tooth brush so I just do the spray and move on.

I highly recommend this product, it’s easy, effective, and the dogs looooove it. P. S. you can tell it kills bad bacteria, because it has also made a HUGE difference in bad breath :).

This product is wonderful. I use a microfiber finger cloth and “brush” my dog’s teeth daily with this, he is almost 4 but his teeth have no tarter and his breath is always fresh. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the dispenser pump.

The pump is very difficult to use so I have been removing it and pouring what I need onto the finger cloth but it would be more convenient to just use the sprayer.

I am almost done with the first bottle that I bought. I add it to both my dogs’ water bowls at least once daily. At first, I wasn’t completely sure that it was working. I have two pit bulls, one is 8 years old girl and the other is a boy at 9 months.

It’s been a few months of using this and my 8y/o pittie’s teeth are almost all “white” now! Of course, they aren’t the puppy white kind but it is very noticeable that almost all the built-up brown is off of her teeth.

I try to brush her teeth every now and then but the spray helps SO much compared to brushing alone. Neither dog has shown any sort of negative reaction to having it in their water. This really says something because both of my dogs’ stomachs are so sensitive to everything.

As long as you use it as directed (one-two times daily) then I promise you will see an amazing improvement in your dog’s teeth!.

The spray bottle is very difficult to spray. If that makes sense. It takes both of my hands to give it enough power and then I can’t hold my dog’s jaw, so it really is a pain to use. I’m not sure why it doesn’t work well because it doesn’t seem broken or clogged.

It seems to help freshen my dog’s breath but I don’t use it consistently enough to know because of how difficult it is use. I will try to buy another spray bottle, pour some of the solution in there, and then give it a go.

I wanted to comment on the spray bottle function because I remembered reading about it when I was purchasing. The company should definitely look into why the spray piece doesn’t work like it should. I recommend this item if you get lucky and get a bottle that works!.

I was very disappointed with this product! The pump spray does not function easily. After chasing my dog around and finally getting his mouth open, the pump malfunctioned and I wasn’t able to dispense any of the spay onto his teeth.

This was not a one time occurrence. I have 4 dogs and each time I attempted to use the spray the pump would not work. I even tried spraying it into the sink just to see if it would work and it was extremely difficult.

Most of the fluid ran down the bottle and did not come out as a spray. I will use another brand in the future.

I am sorry to report, as it appears, our dog and cat does not take to peppermint. why the product’s rating. I cannot rate this product accurately, by the means provided. However, I would recommend this item to a friend with the suggestion that their pet may also smell the essential oil and then walk away, uninterested, as did our pets.

Previously, a contianer of dental “Wipes” were purchased, and they had nothing to do with them, either, even upon coaxing them in different ways to accept the wiping. They just backed away and left. I was hoping to give this Plaque Attack Spray, a try, thinking the method of delivering the peppermint would have made a difference.

To my dismay, I returned the other cans included in the order. I had to keep the opened one.

My dogs teeth were bad so this didn’t work as well on those teeth but on the others I noticed a difference not long after using. The bottom was small enough to hold in my hand and easy to spray in his little mouth.

The small was good but didn’t last long. But like I said my little guy has a couple teeth to pull so I will continue to use this product.

I want to let others know that this is a great product, and it really does work! My pets are rescue dogs. the worse teeth ever. The Vet wanted us to pull their teeth. or have them clean their teeth. Living on a budget, I decided to try this 1st.

My pup’s teeth look whiter and brighter in one week of use! Plus his breath is WAY more pleasant. More than anything, I want to give a huge shout-out to the customer care team! I was so excited to receive my first bottle, only to find that the spray cap was stuck and malfunctioning.

They not only offered to send me a replacement, but sent me TWO brand new spray bottles! Officially a customer for life. I love their stuff.

The sprayer was not working well so I opened this product to pour into a different spray bottle. What I saw was a brown and black clumpy substance. Immediately threw it away as there was no way I was spraying whatever that was into my dogs mouth.

Quite pricey too!.

I use the spray and then a toothbrush to brush his teeth after spraying. My dogs teeth were not bad with the other routine but had some tartar that is gone now. Having a huge Standard Poodle with a long skinny snout, cleaning his teeth was next to impossible. Dental chews just weren’t hacking it. His teeth were kind of orange and there was tarter build up. I started using the spray twice a day and the teeth began to whiten.

Then I bought large safe bones so he could get the loosened tarter off his teeth. It worked beautifully. His teeth look great. I now just spray his teeth once a day and give him something to chew on every day.

We have been using this spray for a couple years now. The dogs tolerate it well. We spray them every night. When we go to have check ups, the vet does a full exam of their mouths and he is so impressed with how great their teeth and gums appear.

We lost a dog 5 years ago to oral cancer. He wouldn’t tolerate brushing. We did get his teeth cleaned but it wasn’t often enough to help. I will always use this spray for my fur babies.

I do not give my dogs anything that is not human grade. That being said, I received a bottle of this and lightly sprayed in one of my dog’s mouth and he went running away in horror. Being curious – and don’t do this!!!!! I sprayed a little on my hand and took a lick.

OMG – it is absolutely horrible! I could not believe how horrible. I started getting palpitations and had to brush and rinse my mouth a lot and they went away. If it tastes that horrible and did that to me, I would never give this to a dog.

And DO NOT TRY IT ON YOURSELF!. I love all the other Tru Dog products, they are excellent, but this is one I would stay away from.

My pup does NOT like teeth brushing, with doggy gel, nor does he like when I wipe his teeth off. He is not agreeable to it. We tried the nasty little sprinkles of seaweed (very expensive) and plaque off (costly enough) and honesty they kind of worked.

THIS PRODUCT IS EASY TO USE. The first 30 days, spray 2 times a day. After 30 days, a couple times a week. And, it’s AFFORDABLE. You can actually afford to buy it as much as you need it. And, it works.

So there’s that too. It does the job of the daily brushing and the deep cleaning. It REPAIRS GUMS! It gets under the gum line, kills bacteria, is all natural, and safe for doggies. I generally avoid alcohol in doggy products, but this one is used so sparsely I don’t mind it.

And, my pup likes it well enough.

I have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and I begin brushing with Petzlife from puppyhood on. I use a soft children’s toothbrush with the gel and my dogs tolerate this well. I really see a difference using Petzlife regularly.

I had been using the green “Fresh Breath” gel by Tropiclean & it worked wonderful but Vitacost was no longer carrying it so I ordered this instead; what a mistake. Same city, state & # on label but does not say “Tropiclean” so I called the company & asked why they changed the label & omitted 2 ingredients (chlorophyll & spearmint) & they informed me that the blue gel was for retail stores such as target & walmart whereas the green gel labeled Tropiclean was for pet professionals such as Petco, etc.

The green Tropiclean also costs over $15 but well worth it. It freshens breath & truly cleans teeth far better than this one.

Used this every night after having my three year old’s teeth cleaned. Beethoven is a Lhasa and known for having teeth issues with this breed. Anyway his teeth are glistening white since using this product for six months now.

No more build up of yellow tartar. He looks forward to it nightly.

I’ve been using plaque attack on Smokey for almost five years and it’s been nothing but great for his teeth and gums. He is not crazy about having the product sprayed into his mouth, but he doesn’t mind the taste at all.

Smokey is almost 61/2 years old now and still has very good looking teeth, so we’re both very pleased with plaque attack and plan on using it for life. And his breath is quite clean and refreshing!.

My dogs love having their teeth actually brushed, but it’s not a lot of fun for me! 🙂 So, I thought I’d try this spray even though I wasn’t really sure it could/would work. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed a significant decrease in the plaque on their teeth.

It’s very easy to use. All four of my dogs have used it. Has not only improved their breath but on my toy dog who I know has tarter has actually shown signs of less tarter. Thankyou Entirely Pets! And my dogs Thankyou too! They do not tolerate tooth brushing.

Hi feed my poodle on top brand food. Ieft his teeth brown. Tried other brand tooth paste no good. Bought this product very much improve d will keep using it. He seems to like it.

I didn’t know what to expect from this product, I have tried other brands of dog toothpaste before, and my dog hated having his teeth cleaned with it. I ordered it in the hope he would like this one, and yipee he does.

The toothbrushes supplied with this are really good, the long handled one makes it so much easier to clean his teeth, and I am noticing a difference to his teeth and breath too. Would defo recommend this product.
