I received these in a VoxBox for my puppy Zelda. Unfortunately she’s a huge puppy so these were kind of small for her. But nevertheless, as you can tell, she was super excited for these. The product looks of high quality and the packaging is nice and simple.

It has a perfect resealable feature to keep the treats fresh. Miss. Zelda seemed to really enjoy them. I gave her 2 since she’s double the size for the recommended serving. I would definitely purchase the bigger ones for her once she runs out of these.

this review is mainly for the packaging. my dogs love the treats but about the last four or five bags when you tear where you’re supposed to tear the bag still doesn’t open. so I have to use scissors every time and about half the time the bags reseal mechanism doesn’t work so I have to put it inside some expensive Ziploc bags I bought or else they will get hard as a rock if you don’t keep them sealed.

evidently they have no quality control at the factory.

I received a free box of Whimzees to try with my two dogs (a miniature poodle and a golden retriever). As a dog lover, my review is 100 percent honest and based solely on my dog’s experiences. First of all, the fact that the same product is designed for dogs of all sizes is a huge plus! I was not surprised when my smaller dog welcomed this dental treat as she loves anything and everything edible.

My golden, on the other hand, is an exceedingly picky eater who refuses all dog treats with the exception of Trader Joe’s chicken strips (yes, they must be from Trader Joe’s or he’ll turn his nose up)! I was shocked that he enjoyed these, and even more surprised that he continues to look forward to them each night! I have purchased another box as I love that BOTH of my dogs love this product, appreciate the natural ingredients, and value the countless benefits of maintaining good dental health in my favorite companions! I would highly recommend Whimzees!.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog chew so thoroughly rejected as this one. I have four dachshunds in my daily care. 2 are mine and 2 are my parents’, and they come for doggie daycare. I spend a lot of time managing their days and their diets, and I search for chews that will entertain, satisfy, and hopefully even benefit in some day.

But they can’t do any of that if the dogs ignore them completely! The dogs act as though I’ve offended them. Naturally each dog is unique and has likes and dislikes of their own. But I also know them really, really well.

If I hand any of them a raw vegetable, like a carrot, they’ll at least, at minimum, take the carrot and worry on it a bit before ditching it (though Sadie will actually happily eat practically anything; she’s even eaten orange slices before.

We have to watch her closely. ) Even Sadie the goat-dog will not eat these chews. They have tried Whimzees products before; once I bought a tub of the cute dino-shaped ones, and another time a bag of the toothbrushy ones.

While the gang definitely didn’t love them, they at least *eventually* ate them. Their total rejection of these is all the more surprising to me considering I have them on a MUCH stricter regimen because they have gained some weight recently.

They have no other choices, and are loudly protesting and physically roughing me up, demanding their old favorites. Meanwhile, there are these whimzees sticks strewn everywhere. They don’t even bother to bury them.

They’d have to be a lot more desperate to eat these, like, a LOT more, is the message I’m getting. Even when they have no other choices, they absolutely refuse to deign to chew these things. All other considerations – value, messiness, effectiveness, durability, smell.

None of my human opinions matter if they’re completely ignored by the target market. That’s 4 dogs – Sophie, Sadie, Gillie, and Gussie – who agree for once. No. More. Whimzee. Products. It’s a shame.

We were giving my dog Merrick Fresh Kisses, but he ended up being allergic to the “natural flavoring” in them so we had to switch over. Best decision ever! My dog has always had a dental treat waiting in his dish when he gets up in the morning, but now he leaps out of bed for them! He LOVES chewing them and they last a lot longer than the other brand.

We were wondering if they’d really help with his breath since they didn’t have mint or anything like the others, but despite that they work even better! We have an American Staffordshire Terrier mix and the hard texture doesn’t seem to be an issue at all for him.

If you’re worried about your dog disliking the texture etc, a lot of pet stores sell them individually for a couple dollars so that you can try them out before making too much of a commitment.

These have been my 11 month old standard poodle puppy’s “crate & bedtime” treats ever since she was about 3 months old. She looks forward to them every night and promptly heads to bed and settles down, salivating before she even gets it in her mouth.

I’ve tried a variety of treats from Blue Buffalo & they’re all fantastic, especially the quail flatland sticks. These duck cookies are a great size, nice crumbly texture for her with ingredients that I feel good about giving her.

I even sprinkle the treat dust left over in the bag on top of her kibble when the biscuits are all gone and she gobbles it down. Love that these come in a large 10 ounce bag too. Thank you for making such a great goodie that she’s always thrilled to get!.

My dog loves these. She enjoys chewing them for the 15 seconds it takes her to chew it. My only and big complaint is the zipper on the bag is crap. I end up throwing half the bag out because it doesn’t seal no matter how much you press the zipper track together.

I even tried putting an elastic or clip on the top. It completely dried out. I’ve stopped buying this because all I’m doing is wasting my money.

I’ve got four Chihuahuas and struggled to find anything that they all love. I tried one of these chopped up into four so share it between them. Since then I have bought many bags, I still have to cut them in half due to them all being under 5kg and these treats being a bit big for their weight, they would all eat a whole one or two if I let them.

I like to give them one of these treats at the end of the evening and chill down time ready for bed. These are helping with keeping their teeth clean, the dogs can chew these and as they are softer than other teeth cleaning chews so they bend into the teeth shape.

My dogs have tiny teeth and I’m happy with these chews for them.

I got these a week or so ago and have been giving one to my dog once per day each day as the instruction say it’s safe to give on a daily basis. The good news is that my dog gets excited when I get one out and he’s happy to run outside and have it.

And, I will say that his breath is better when he comes in from his treat. The “I wish it were better news” is that it take him about 2. 5 minutes to finish (eat) the whole thing – and it’s big! I’m not sure how effective it is on cleaning his teeth; he plows through it so quickly.

And, that’s the other thing: how can it be effective on the cleaning part if he chews it up so fast? I would have expected it to take him longer to go through it. more like a true chew. That all being said, it’s easy to digest and he loves it.

It’s his treat after we’ve had meds, clean his wrinkles, and given him eye drops. So, he thinks its a reward, ha! We’ll keep giving them to him because regardless of whether it cleans his teeth thoroughly, it sure isn’t hurting and his breath is definitely improved.

We received a bag of these to try and they quickly became our dogs favorite treat. Our dogs gets so excited for them they love the taste so much, they can be pretty picky too. I’m super impressed that not only are they delicious but they also clean a dogs teeth!.

Flo Jo weighs 60 pounds and is a very picky eater. We have tried many food toppers hoping they would encourage her to eat. Nothing worked until we purchased extra-small Yummy Combs. We place two in her food and she runs to her bowl and eats everything.

My 10ish year old Beagle Terrier mix Roxy Finally got the ok to have her teeth cleaned after 5 years of being told not to have them cleaned again when her heart rate & bp dropped too low during last cleaning.

She’s not fond of having her teeth brushed, so I’ve been looking for a dental chew for between brushing. Apparently she is not crazy about the green chews, because all she wants to do is bury them. Browsing Chewy, came across these CET Veggie Dent chews.

Interesting shape & ingredients, good reviews. When I opened the bag she did a flip, she was so excited! She immediately went out in the yard and appeared to be in a chew zone, completely focused on her new Veggie Dent chew.

She chewed the whole chew, her breath is fresher, her teeth appear much cleaner between brushing, these don’t upset her tummy. And, she chews them rather than burying them So so pleased to discover these chews.

My 86lb mix breed best friend, Walter, has had horrible breath for a while now. Car rides are the worst, with the windows up and him panting in the back seat. It’s like hot boxing a dead fish. I’ve tried everything except spending $800 for a dental cleaning at the vet.

But that was my next step, until I found these dental chews. 1 chew each day and after about a week I realized that when he gets close and tries to lick my face, I didn’t gag! Then after further inspection, his breath kinda just smells like wheat thins or something organic and bland.

The tarter on his back teeth is also noticeably reduced. I would give this 10/10 for saving my family from Walter’s fish breath.

My dog, Buddy, receives one of these dental chews everyday. I buy the medium size even though Buddy is 70 lbs. Because each chew this size contains 75 Calories, I break each in half so I have 2 treats to give him throughout the day.

I also give Buddy antler bones to chew on and the combination keeps his teeth clean and free of tartar build up and his mouth free of bad odor. If dog owners are proactive and give their dogs safe chewable treats and toys to help scrub the surfaces of their teeth on a regular basis, hopefully, they will not have to have their dogs undergo sedation to have their teeth professionally cleaned at a vet’s office (which is both expensive and may be risky for older dogs or those in a frail state of health) and maintaining clean teeth will reduce the chances of their dogs getting painful gum diseases or sores.

We got these for our rescue cockapoo who came to us two years ago with the most awful breath. His teeth were ok, and his labs were ok, no liver issues, etc. I didn’t have much hope when I saw this ad on Facebook, but thought we would try them! I am so glad we did! I have been a dog lover and owner for over 60 years. This and all the other items I discovered on Fuzzy are Fabulous! Not only does my dog love these chews, his teeth are looking good! In fact improved.

My “13 pound daughter” will not let me brush her teeth. I know, she’s not the boss, but……… The dental chews are a great working substitute without the big fuss! She’s usually very fussy, but these chews passed the Sparkle test.

I rated product at 5 stars because It comes very highly recommended by a canine dental expert plus my dog chews on them and appears to enjoy it so far after about a month. I don’t know what product(s) to attribute to good dental health so far though.

I’ve been most concerned with maintaining the best possible dental hygiene for my Maltese who I got as a puppy at 3 mths old; Tallula weighs a little over 4 lbs. She is very slow to cooperate with all maintenance (dental, brush, ears, nails, eyes).

She puts up with slow repetitive maintenance efforts only when I coax with treats frequently while moving extremely slow. I pace all efforts with the exposure curve over time (not all at once in a day).

Teeth brushing has been super slow and painstaking. I wouldn’t even know how i was doing if not for having the vet check her teeth out at last appointment. Thankfully her teeth look excellent at 1 yr 3 mths old.

I was told problems often start after 2 yrs but vet has seen many before then too—especially with toy dogs. I have tried many dental products now. She has been resistent to/won’t eat Greenies in mint or blueberry; Refuses to accept Tropiclean gel; Won’t drink water with TropiClean Fresh breath additive; Won’t allow toothbrush past her tongue/Instead licks off the poultry flavor Enzadent toothpaste which she likes (not much brushing of teeth/gums).

This product was tried in combination with other dental treats to see if she’d chew. She likes them so far. I break in half as treats are for up to 11 lb dogs. If i give her a whole, her poop is more runny.

Still experimenting with her but grateful she really chews at this and it was the no. 1 rec by the vet/dental specialist I trust. I’m also giving her 1 ARK Naturals brushless treat for dogs 8lbs and under.

She loves those but if i give her 2 in a day, runny poop. So I do 1 of each and I keep trying the tooth brushing to see if over time, it will become easier. I don’t do brushing everyday but I give her at least 2 dental forms daily.

I also sprinkle Plaque-off powder on her food daily. I was warned by all the maltese breeders and by vets to care for her teeth. So, I’ve tried to address it in many ways simultaneously to maximize success.

I have two large German Shepherds. They love nothing better than running to the pantry spinning three times and asking for their “toothbrush. ” I always order two bags at once. On my last order, there were some large and some extra-large mixed together.

I know the difference because I tried the Large ones for a while especially when my youngest Shepherd I got at 6 months old was still growing. My dogs met the FEDEX delivery guy at the door today anxious to get their toothbrush.

I noticed the extra-large were considerably smaller medium and large mixed together. This is not Chewy’s fault. Virbac is disappointing me both in size consistency and a considerable increase in cost over the last few months, and I may have to search for a more size-appropriate option for their favorite treat.

I would have loved to show a picture of the difference and typically I don’t run out, but this time I got side-tracked with work and the previous bag was empty.

I use about a 2 bags a year. We go through gap periods of not using them. But when I notice stinky breath on my dog or discoloration on his teeth that a brushing doesnt fix, we order a bag. I cannot reccomend this enough.

It makes a noticable difference wuthin a few chews. We get a dental cleaning every couple of years but it would certainly have to be more if he didnt have these. I dont waste money on greenies anymore which never did anything for his teeth.

and we had a friend whos cat didn’t digest greenies, it just built up in her stomach and she had to get surgery. according to the vet, greenies causing this issue was fairly common. So we discontinued them.

This is rawhide so we do have to supervise the chewing. I’m not a big fan of rawhide, but in this case the results outweigh the risks. If we can prevent gingivitus we prevent MAJOR health issues down the road.

I aquired two small dogs. They were neglected, starved, and other wise not cared for. They need vitamins and caring food and a lot of loving. They need a lot of help. This is just a start!

We have a standard size Goldendoodle at about 70lbs. We had been using Greenie’s dental for a while until we discovered Kirkland ones. These look similar but are slightly smaller when comparing the large ones.

But these cost fraction of what Greenie costs. We have gone thru couple of these boxes and it seems to be doing a pretty good job on his teeth. And he absolutely loves it. It has bot caused any upset stomach either.

We will be sticking to this one now. It is also available in Amazon for the same price as Costco.

Ever wondered why your dog is addicted to this? If I have a dentastix in one hand, no matter what I hold in the other (even if it’s his favourite food), he will still go for the dentastix. I wonder what’s so addictive in this.

My pet had been suffering from rashes likely due to some allergens. We tried every modulation in his food over the last few months but to no avail. Just to realise in the end that all we had to do was stop the Dentastix and he was perfectly fine thereafter.

I have my strong suspicions about the quality of this product.

My dog loves these chewy sticks and they have helped to eliminate severe tartar build up along with homeopathic Fragrance 6. These are a daily must have for our dog. He eagerly awaits this morning treat and the positive change in tartar/plaque removal along with better smelling breath is amazing.

We feed our dog a complete raw pre-ground food so it is essential to have a system in place to combat plaque/tartar. Being a finicky little fella, he doesn’t like other natural teeth cleaning products and doesn’t do well with chewing raw bone properly.

So this is our best and safest alternative.
