Best Demon Hunter Legendary Gems (2024 Updated)

After DMC several years ago, I had my doubts we’d ever see another proper entry in the Devil May Cry series. It was a fun game to play overall, but it marked a departure in the traditional aesthetic for the series.

With Devil May Cry 5 we finally get a proper sequel. It picks up some time after Devil May Cry 4; you start off playing as Nero, but soon enough you’ll be playing as newcomer V and series stalwart Dante.

All 3 characters have distinct gameplay styles: Nero uses his sword, revolver, and devil bringer arm. V uses long-range attacks via his animal familiars, only stepping in close range to finish off enemies.

Dante is probably the most varied of the 3 however, utilizing his traditional repertoire of firearms, fighting stances, and close range weapons. It’s worth noting that they’ve upped the ante with the graphics as well.

The characters’ facial expressions and movements are quite impressive. From the get-go, you’ll be thrust into the action and expected to rapidly adapt. Indeed, this may the main fault of DMC 5–it seems like by the time you get used to one character you’re forced to play as another.

With 3 characters to support, it likely won’t be until subsequent play-throughs that you’ll truly appreciate the variety of options here. As usual, you’ll be buying upgrades for your attacks via red orbs that enemies drop.

but you won’t be able to afford all of them until you’ve finished the game a couple times. This is not an open-world action game. DMC 5 follows a linear mission structure that pushes you along, but it does allow for a minimal amount of exploration via the secret missions and short detours that lead to blue/purple orbs (you can backtrack through former missions to collect items you’ve missed via the main menu).

With a respectable campaign that clocks in over 10 hours and the free Bloody Palace DLC, Devil May Cry 5 is a worthy entry to the series. It may have a steep learning curve for some, but it’s a blast to play once you master the mechanics.

In terms of good old butt-kicking, DMC5 has what you want if you’ve been a fan of the series from the get. But if you’re expecting the old-fashioned puzzle-it-out, figure-it-out challenge that the older DMCs gave us, you’re in a for a bit of a disappointment.

**I warn that there will be spoilers here** Dante isn’t our MC, and he won’t be available until approximately mission 9 or 10. V is relatively boring to play with despite his dark and enigmatic persona.

He can’t really do much demon-slaughtering, and has to call on pet demons to do all the work for him. Not so hot; I constantly felt hindered when I played his character. Nero’s a toughie, but his missing arm puts the player at an extreme and tiresome disadvantage.

The devil arms keep breaking, and when he runs out, that’s the end of that if you don’t have spares to load up. At 20 missions, the game is pretty short, particularly because in this DMC, you don’t get the puzzles and artifact hunting that the old DMCs used to give us.

It’s all basically mindless, button mashing. You see a cutscene, go through a demon-filled, post-apocalyptic environment hacking and slicing your way through any monster that comes your way then face a boss.

If you defeat the boss, you move on to another cutscene and do it all over again. While the combat is fun, the fact that the battles just bleed into each other spoils it some because the game goes that much faster, and the story doesn’t really pull you into it.

Despite the cons, I enjoyed the game if for nothing else but the demon-smashing joyride and familiarity of the characters, combat style and gameplay mechanics. I LOVED that this DMC took us back to the original roots of the game instead of continuing the mess that Ninja Theory gave us with their ugly, vulgarized version of Dante.

Keeping the language and sexuality to a minimum (for a game of this kind, I suppose) made the game that much more enjoyable. I DO hope, however, that should another DMC be released, it gives us more play time, and a more entertaining experience that makes us actually think a little to win instead of just mashing buttons to kill the enemy, speeding the game past.

Today’s games are much too expensive to be able to complete the whole thing in just a day or so, and at just 20 demon-slaying missions, it’s very possible to do just that.

Devil May Cry 5 is pure, unrelenting, action bliss. This is the best action game of the year. The game is a welcome return to the long-standing series that has been dormant in the mainline series since 2008’s DMC4.

While I personally enjoyed DmC, the reboot, a lot, many were dismayed with it. Well, this is a game that will please fans of both worlds. The game follows Nero, Dante, and a newcomer, V. All the characters are well fleshed out with fantastic combat styles unique to each of them.

The story is campy yet fun, with its fair share of surprisingly emotionally resonant scenes. What separates DMC5 from many other games is that it’s not so much focused on killing monsters and demons as it is about how you kill them.

Style is the name of the game. DMC5 will actively push you stretch the limits of how long you can continually punish a lone, poor demon. The phenomenal combat paired along with the excellent pacing makes the full package something you can’t pry yourself from.

The minute the game ended, I wanted nothing more to jump back in. I highly recommend you begin with the standard difficulty when first starting off rather than the “Human” difficulty. Don’t be fooled, however, as the hardest difficulty you can pick right off the bat is only the second easiest difficulty.

This game wants you to keep replaying the game. New systems, mechanics, weapons, and combos are sprinkled throughout the main campaign, demanding that you take advantage of the new skill. You literally receive a game-changing ability right at the end of the game, essentially telling you to replay the game again.

If you want to test your might, the Bloody Palace game mode is a extremely fun mode that will constantly test how good you really think you are with a 99 stage gauntlet through all the enemies and bosses in the game–using only one life.

You die, you start from ground zero. Capcom is killing it. No one could’ve predicted such a strong redemption arc with the company, but here we are with Devil May Cry 5 (and Resident Evil 2 remake). Do yourself a favor and dive into Devil May Cry 5.

If you’re new to the series, don’t worry, there’s a video included with the game that will go over most of the main plot points from the previous games. The game absolutely can be played stand-alone.

And don’t be surprised if you find yourself saying to yourself, “Pull my devil trigger. ” The game’s soundtrack is an absolute beast. You’ll see.

I’ve been fishing for 5 decades, but am new to the bait casting reel scene. I’m primarily a fly fisherman with spinning gear as a backup. I started on both an Abu Garcia Pro Max and this Kastking Royale Legend 200 earlier this year.

I’m fishing in Alaska so I got the Kastking due to its larger line capacity. Both reels are smooth, efficient, and very user friendly with practice. Honestly, the Kastking loses nothing to the Abu Garcia.

I used the Kastking over several days in Valdez, AK for silver (coho) salmon in the 6-14 lb. range. Coho are exceptionally powerful, fast, aggressive, airborne salmon that will test typical fishing gear.

One author referred to them as the “drunk, angry uncle of the salmon family”. Spooled with 30 lb. Kastking Super Power Braid and fished off Kastking’s Royale Legend bait casting rod, it performed very well.

It was a great combination, IMO, taming a dozen or so large coho which are now in my freezer, smoked, or canned. I have since picked up a second which I spooled with 65 lb. braid. I plan on using it for king salmon next year, and that’s saying something because I never take shoddy gear for kings! Both reels spooled evenly, have strong, smooth drag systems, cast long distances, operate smooth as silk, and are a tremendous value! I highly recommend to anybody looking for a bait cast reel with higher line capacity for larger, stronger fish!.

So I bought this reel back in 2017 and had only used it a few times. The first time I used it I thought it was an amazing reel but then toward the end of the day it start making really loud sounds when casting and retrieving.

Everytime I used it after that. I was afraid to use this reel anymore. I thought there was something wrong internally and needed to be cleaned but everything looked good inside. Not sure what the problem was.

Yesterday (28 June 2020) I saw a video on Youtube of a person comparing this reel to another reel and he was having the same issue. What he did threw me for a loop, he opened the side of the reel where the mag brakes are and showed that there was an added braking systems inside for tuning the reel (I forget what it was called) but after adjust it he started casting again and everything was fine.

So I thought to myself, maybe this is what happened to me. So I grabbed my reel and opened it up to find the extra braking system, made some adjustments and boom the reel was performing perfectly. No more grinding sounds and I was even able to pitch with it without back-lashing.

So I decided to comeback to my post and edit it in order to share my story. If you are having the same issues as me then try what I did and see if it helps. Going from a 3 star rating to a 5 star rating.

I love that this reel is dirt cheap too.

I purchased this reel as my first real bait caster. I had an old one from Bass Pro Shops that I received as a gift while in high school, but I could never figure out how to use it without getting bird nests every time.

Well, fast forward 10 years and I started getting back into fishing again and finally learned how to use it. I quickly realized I needed to update my rod and reel, so I did a ton of research and decided to go with this KastKing Royale Legend Elite 7.

3 (left handed). It’s been about 6 months since I pulled the trigger and I have used this reel roughly once or twice a week. So far, it has held up great and I would absolutely recommend it to any beginners out there or folks that are on a budget.

The reel is very easy to dial in and the smoothness and casting distance is excellent for the price. I love not having to open up the side plate to adjust the magnetic brakes too. I usually keep them set at 4 or 5 depending on the conditions and lures I’m throwing.

Speaking of lures, this reel can easily throw your lighter soft plastics (I like to use 1/8th ounce tungsten weights with a craw or creature bait or weightless senkos), but I’ve also thrown 2. 5oz Huddleston swimbaits with it.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the KastKing Royale Legend Elite!.

This special edition is the main reason I decided to preorder a ps5 and I am so glad that I did. Dmc5 is campy, fast paced action with excellent mechanics and a rewarding system of missions and style rankings.

The special edition adds awesome graphic upgrades including ray tracing, the ability to play on turbo mode, and Vergil as a playable character. The game is uber fun and doesnt take itself too seriously, sticks to what made dmc3 amazing and expands on that.

The gameplay is most important and you dont need to think about the story. If you’re new to the series this is a good start. If you’ve played DMC5 this is really worth upgrading to, I’m replaying for about the 5th time and loving it.

Can’t reccomend enough.

I rarely give games or movie a full 5 stars or 10/10’s however this game is just too good. I’ve never really played the Devil May Cry franchise so this was my first game in the series and I’m glad that I decided to get into this series.

The story is simple and easy to catch on to even without any context to the story, but if you really want to know about the story so far then check out “The History of DMC” that’s contained within the Main Menu.

But anyway, the gameplay is definitely the best part of this game. It’s an action hack and slash game where you play as three characters: Dante, the son of Sparda and Legendary Devil Hunter, Nero, a young Devil Hunter who recently got a brand new robotic arm, and V, and mysterious man who controls demonic beast in hopes of finding help from Dante and Nero to help take down the demon king Urizen.

Each character has a different play style and their own challenges to them. The funnest part in the game in my opinion is trying to get your combos up to SSS and keeping it there for as long as possible.

The game also knows when to shut up and let the gameplay talk and I really respect that. The soundtrack is also amazing especially during battle, it really hypes you up, and not to mention whenever you finish a battle the music always somehow ends perfectly.

Overall, this game is just fantastic. The gameplay, the art style, the soundtrack, the characters, the acting, just everything about it is just so good. For sure, one of the best games of the decade.

Dante is back, and better than ever. The combat is smooth and you can easily switch between combat styles. Nero’s combat style is balanced and the prosthetic arm feature is a nice addition. There are different arms to choose from.

An arm that shoots electricity and stuns and throws enemies to the ground? Check. An arm that slows down time for the enemies? Check. An arm that shoots like a rocket and then you can jump on it? Check.

Each type of arm adds variety to the combat strategy for Nero. The new character, V, might get mixed reactions from DMC fans. His combat style is a bit harder to master than Nero’s and Dante’s combat style.

V needs to stay away from enemies and use his companions to fight for him. The control scheme is basically the same as Dante’s and Nero’s. Triangle button makes melee attacks and square button makes long range attacks.

The black panther companion attacks the enemies at close range using its tail and claws, while the bird attacks the enemies from afar firing beams and summoning thunder attacks from above. Finally the devil trigger activates a golem that automatically attacks the enemies surrounding you.

Very useful when V is being overwhelmed by enemies. You can also acquire the ability to jump on the golem’s back and take control of it. Once you get the hang of V you’ll be having a blast breezing through the combat.

Whether you like or dislike the new character, whether you are a long time DMC fan or a newcomer I highly recommend this game.

When it works properly – the nozzle sprayer is not broken, as happens sometimes, this is an effective and great deer lure during the rut. It attracts not only bucks, but does. One of the best on the market.

The Tinks 69 Mist is great for spraying on your boots when walking to your stand. Also good when using a “drag rag.” Much easier and cleaner that pouring out of a bottle.

Love the gel stream cans. They shoot a good distance allowing me to spray from the stand. The gel stream is an easy way of laying down scent on the way to the stand.

Beautiful reel. After unboxing i added 1 drop of hot sauce reel oil to all areas indicated in the easy-to-read instruction manual (nice touch) i added 1 layer of electrical tape to the spool, mated the reel to G.

Loomis med. fast casting rod, spooled Berkley X5 braid, tied on a small casting plug, adjusted cast controls to max and made a few casts. Obviously, with the brakes on the cast werent long. Gradually releasing and adjusting every few casts had me flinging the plug a LONG way with relative ease.

Not a single birds nest. KK sponsors Bassmaster winner Edwin Evers. I wonder if the bad reviews see Edwin winning and think “I can do that. ” The price point allows people who normally wouldnt use a high end baitcaster to try to be like Edwin and fail miserably without tuning or practicing.

My reel is smooth as glass, quiet, and casts a country mile. Drag is smooth, magnetic brake is great. It feels like a $200 reel. Set it up correctly, practice faithfully, and realize that you are not a Bassmaster champion and this reel will work perfectly.

Fail to do these things and you will gets bird nests and leave unwarranted bad reviews.

The Royale Legend II 200by KastKing. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this reel! Well packaged and undamaged upon arrival. I spooled this reel with Superpower 30lb Braid by KastKing. It is what I have on hand and what I use on all of my reels regardless of the brand. The side plate is removable making spool access easy and has a nice latch keeping it locked in place.

All of the adjustments for the reel are clearly marked and easily accessed. The reel isn’t over or undersized and feels comfortable in my hand. The retrieve handle is well made and ample in size for small and larger hands and is not slippery.

The body and the spool release are some kind of plastic/polymer but in no way feels cheap or flimsy. It has nice solid feel and a smooth cast. I would certainly recommend this reel to anyone looking for an Excellent Value in Quality Fishing Gear.

Bloodborne was my first game in the so-called ‘souls’ type games and even though I haven’t finished it yet, from what I have played it is a masterpiece. From Software is one of the few developers that actually puts a AAA game of actual AAA quality and they have yet to fail that expectation.

While Bloodborne is a difficult game, it is really rewarding and everything from the combat to the atmosphere of the game world itself is absolutely stunning. My only gripe with the game is that I wished it ran better on PS4.

30fps is okay, but I would have liked if they released a patch for PS4 Pro and eventually PS5 that would allow it to run at 60fps. Other than a few complaints about the performance of the game itself, I can highly recommend this game.

If like challenging games but have not played any of the ‘souls’ type games yet, I would say start with this one. You will have a great time with it like I did and when I eventually beat the game someday as well.

In the past I steered clear of FromSoftware’s Souls game by reputation alone. The idea of playing a game where death came fast and often didn’t exactly appeal to me. However, once I cleared my backlog during the quarantine I needed something new to play.

Bloodborne was on sale at BestBuy. com so there were no more excuses. I couldn’t be happier I gave this game a shot as it’s now among my Top 10 favorite games of all time. The atmosphere and sound design in this game is top notch as is the graphics even for an early PS4 game BB is a looker.

The real standout is the combat, it’s fast paced and rewards an offensive play style which as I understand differs from most of the Souls games. There are over 20 weapons to choose from and each one has a tricked version that makes them versatile and fun to use.

The hunter axe was my starter weapon and was useful the entire game among a handful of other swords and guns. The game is challenging sure but rewarding. Losing blood echoes (the in-game currency for leveling up and purchasing items) every time you die is frustrating at first but you learning from your mistakes is so rewarding especially during the boss fights.

They are easily my favorite part of the game, each one demands your attention as you learn their patterns and when to dodge and to attack. Beating them is so satisfying and keeps you going throughout the experience.

I could go on and on but if you’re an Action/RPG fan and haven’t played this game so yourself a favor and give it a look. The DLC is just as awesome with 5 more bosses and additional weapons and well worth the price of admission once you’re done with the main campaign.

Theres incredible power to Bloodborne. Its not just an amazing dance of dodges and swipes through encounters that often push the limits of reflexes and endurance, its a thought-provoking experience thats wormed its way into my mind and melted my resolve.

But through perseverance, patient growth, and determined skill, its proved itself an unconventional adventure that ultimately gives much more than it takes which at times can be a staggering cost. By the end, the only frustrations that dont turn to triumphs are the technical ones.

After more than 60 hours of grappling with its terrors, monsters, and the environment itself, Im left dumbfounded by Bloodbornes capability to draw powerful emotions from me, and make me earn the successes that Ill remember for years to come.

Its unconventional approach to action-RPG gameplay walks a fine line between utter elation and despair as it takes us on an awe-inspiring journey through the highest peaks of satisfaction and the deepest, blackest pits of exhausted desperation.

Developer From Software chooses to tell us little about how to survive its gauntlet, and yet expects feats of intelligence and perseverance in the face of its brutal, unrelenting difficulty. That balance is slightly upset by painfully long loading screens upon death or travel to different zones, but the highs of taking down one of the many intimidating bosses make up for those chunks of downtime.

Bloodbornes semi-open world structure and hard-earned progression draw heavily from the Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls games that made From famous, though the aggressive new pace of combat is all its own.

These diving, rolling melee battles with an awesome arsenal of transforming melee weapons and tactical sidearms chiseled away my calluses and made me form new ones, even as a hardened Dark Souls veteran.

Switching weapons between their light and heavy modes on the fly to string together combo-like attack chains in an engaging way injects a newfound versatility, even if its a less calculating kind of battle than we see in Froms earlier games.

That doesnt make it any easier, though. Being overwhelmed by enemies is commonplace, but thanks to your ability to leech back lost health with quick counterattacks and to stun opponents with secondary weapons, I found its possible to sustain a constant onslaught when Id built up enough skill.

And these tools are absolutely needed, as Bloodbornes horrifying beasts span an imaginative range, from pedestrian insane village folk to cosmic horrors and patchwork fiends. Creature design strikes terror in many ways enormous axe-swinging skeletons, peculiar semi-transparent childlike creatures, and subtle creepiness, like a coven of wailing, cleaver wielding hags but each entity is well-crafted and triumphantly threatening.

Thats best exemplified by the bosses, which have the power to mystify, terrify, and infuriate. I ultimately found many of those big fights much simpler than getting past the trial-and-error battles with dozens of smaller enemies I fought to reach them, but the satisfaction in each and every victory was huge.

By far it is definitely my favourite ring ever! My first purchase from regalrose and I can not wait to get another 😁

What if I want one of 100 different colors? JF is loosing business this way. At least say that there’s a minimum qty of 2 per color upfront.

I am way late to the game on this one, but I actually loved this game! Having played Suda51’s Lollipop Chainsaw and No More Heroes before this I wasn’t expecting a HUGE amount since I’d heard the least about this- But it is genuinely my favourite I’ve played now.

The game was funny, gory, occasionally challenging but never frustrating – as the game goes on a lot of basic enemies become one shot kills and the puzzles are usually fairly straight forward, which might take away for some people but I feel it adds to Garcia’s character.

He feels capable of dealing with this dimension. I am someone who will die trying to do something 2-5 times, get annoyed and turn the game off then go back to it the next day and magically do it first time somehow.

That happened maybe twice in this. I liked the world design, it always felt like the areas were different but part of the same world. The shop monster was fun too, the controls were easy to use but sometimes it felt like the laser aim lagged slightly so it was always a push trying to target weak points on enemies in some boss fights.

Some bad points are that the game is straightforward and there’s not a huge amount to think about, I really didn’t like the 2d/paper mini game which was also such a cop out for a huge antagonist boss fight, and I really didn’t enjoy the gentlemen’s club mini game – though I can appreciate that they did add in different gameplay aspects.

I guess some of the humour is juvenile and the game is fairly violent and gory if some people aren’t into that. Overall I would recommend this for people who enjoyed Suda51’s games, RE4 and Sam Raimi’s work.

Why this game never blew up is beyond me. I had to get it again when I knew it was available for xboxone backwards compatibility. The soundtrack is amazing. It is made my Akira Yamaoka who is famous for making the silent hill game franchise music.

The gameplay style is pretty similar to resident evil 5 so it felt pretty smooth. The story is one that has been told; guy goes to hell to save/get his girlfriend/loved one. But I love that as you go deeper and deeper to get her, your partner (who is also your weapons and a demon himself) Johnson tells you more and more about the demons and their role or purpose for the stuff they do.

The game is pretty immature with so many dirty jokes and they sometimes felt overused but overall, this game is just soooo underrated. It would have been so good if they made a sequel. I recommend anyone to get it, even if they’re just Akira fans!.

Got it stolen from my game room a year or so ago, and I am happy to finally fill the void that was left behind. This is an underrated gem of the prior generation that I suggest everyone checks out. Unless, you are offended by crassness.

Then you might want to pass. The gameplay is rather good, with a solid mix of gunplay and puzzle solving. The graphics are average, but they also have the uniqueness that comes with any Suda51 game. The story is pretty standard stuff, but the characters are all well defined and full of personality.

The bosses all have a very unique look and feel, and are all quite well done. If you like memorable boss fights this is a game for you. The main villian is especially nasty and by the end of the game you really really want to kill him.

The whole thing, in typical Suda51 style, feels very grindhousy. Its a good game that revels in bad game stereotypes. Most of all though, the makers seem like they just want the players to have as much fun playing it as they had making it.

I had a lot of fun playing this game.

The pick is very flexible for a 2. 0 mm. It felt rough against the strings despite the fact that I beveled and polished it. It felt as if the tip was hanging up on the string. upon further inspection I was able to slip my nail in the pick and pull it apart into two haves.

One half clear with the text and one half peal with gooey glue in the center. Wierd!.

I bought the 1. 5mm and have no problems with pealing as another reviewer claimed. These picks are smooth and don’t hang up on the strings giving me more fluid movement and speed. The edges don’t wear down either when I slide them down the length of my low E string.

Did I mention the color is really nice too?.

Classic pick. Long wearing; sticks to your fingers; neutral tone: not to “clicky” but stil bright and clear. Flawlessly finished on the edges.
