Which is extremely convinent. I think whether you use this for home or work itll let you get more done. I wish i would have got one earlier. Its a great product well made and i would highly recommend this product and would buy agian.

Received recently and immediately unpackaged. I have several laptops that I have now plugged into, including Latitudes, XPS and Alienware. All systems work with this unit at some capacity. Pretty well full functionality with my Latitude, where my Alienware requires a larger power supply, so the dock only provides peripheral connectivity.

In general the units is robust and heavy. No expense spared on the build. Driver and firmware updates were available via Dell Support and easily applied. Would highly recommend this to anyone needing a dock for their laptop.

I absolutely love everything my new dell docking station has to offer me. I like that it allows my desk to be wire free and clean looking. It was very easy to set up and use. I have two monitors and my dell laptop connected at the moment.

This docking station works great with all my application that I placed on my montiors like quickbooks, remote desktop ect. I haven’t had any issues with connection problems or drop outs at all. This docking station also has a fan that comes on a few times a day for a few seconds to regulate it’s temperature.

The fan is very quite and doesn’t make much noise. If your looking for a good quality and well made Dell docking station I would definitely recommend this one. It’s that great.

I window shopped for a Thunderbolt 3 dock for quite some time, and this one is the best that I found for the money. It also comes with a 3 year express ship warranty from Dell. On top of that, it plays even better with a dell computer.

The dock’s power button can control the laptop, and it will provide the maximum power for charging. This dock has a nice, long (3′) thunderbolt 3 cable that is attached to it. Most of the others that I looked at either required attaching a cable to their thunderbolt 3 port, and therefore taking it out for other uses, or some had a little dinky short cable.

Then they would claim the port as “available” when it had to be used to connect to the laptop. This dock has all the features that I could require with room for expansion in the future. On the front, it has a USB 3.

1 Gen1/Gen2 Type-C port, and a USB 3. 1 Gen1 port with power share, and an Audio Headset Port. On the back, it has an audio line out, two DisplayPort 1. 4 ports, a HDMI 2. 0 port, and a USB 3. 1 Gen1/Gen2 Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.

4. I have mine hooked to two 30″ monitors, and could add two more, without additional adapters, or daisy chaining them. Very few of the docks that I looked at had that kind of capacity in addition to the other features that this one has.

Also on the front are two USB 3. 1 Gen1 ports, an RJ-45 Network ethernet connector, and the power connector. Last, but not least, there is a Type-C with Thunderbolt 3 port, or a Type-C USB 2. 0 port if connected to a non-Thunderbolt host.

A lot of the docks that claimed to be Thunderbolt 3 compatible didn’t have an exit port for Thunderbolt 3. With Thunderbolt 3, you can daisy chain up to 4 or 5 levels deep, and continue on to something else now, or in the future.

It amazes me what they can pack into one Thunderbolt 3 cable. It can carry power to charge the laptop, provide reverse power for peripherals, gigabit cable internet, audio, 4k, or even 5k video, and data at blazing speeds of up to 40 Gb/s.

And all I have to do is connect one cable to my laptop, and I have two additional monitors, cable internet, external speakers, a 6 Tb external hard drive, dongles for external keyboard and mouse, and a 5 port USB 3.

0 hub, with room to grow. Thunderbolt 3 is definitely the future. My Dell laptop is a newer model with the Thunderbolt 3 port, so I had some difficulty finding out which docks were compatible, or my search might not have been so comprehensive.

It gave me the opportunity to see what was out there. I bought a cheaper USB-C dock that wasn’t even Thunderbolt, but it was defective. I am kind of glad it was, for a change, or I might not have found this one.

I didn’t see a lot about the Dell docking stations. I rarely write reviews, and have no affiliation to it, but I would recommend the Dell WD-19-TB docking station to everyone that has a Thunderbolt 3 port.

If you have a Dell PC, that’s even better. I’ve had my dock for about 2 months, and I am very pleased.

Although I have used it some not as much as I would like it has worked perfectly. The unit is small enough it fit nicely under my display stand. It charges the Laptop and has a bunch of ports. So far so good, I like that plugging it 1 USB-C cable handles everything, Ethernet port, charging, USB ports, and the display.

It’s hard to ask for more. About the only thing that would maybe make it better is if like HP, you could drop the unit on the station and no cable is required. There are plus and minus to both and the amount of the charging for the XPS 17 9700 maybe more than the current tech could over come to provide feature.

I would highly recommend the unit as so far it is working great.

I was tired of trying to keep my laptop charged with the little charger that may have fallen on the floor a few too many times and so it wouldn’t connect unless it was held in certain positions. The docking station is great in that it uses the USB C connector to charge and I leave it on the desk.

I have two monitors, keyboard and mouse all connected so it’s great. I can still use it on the couch when I need to.

Appears to be completely new and unused and authentic DELL product. Worked perfectly straight out of the box.

Overall – what I expected, and worked right out of the box. I deducted one star because I was sent the European plug for the power cord, not the Swiss one. While it is easy to get an adapter, one would think the plug could be declared in the description and/or matched to the delivery address.

If you have a USB-C powered computer that needs more than 90w, has ports that aren’t either too close or far apart, you have few USB item needs, and your computer can use DisplayPort over USB-C, then this dock might be just the ticket.

For machines that don’t meet those criteria, I’d suggest a different Dell dock: 1. Most business class machines don’t currently require, and can’t handle, two USB-C power connections. Giving too much power to your USB will cause Windows to turn off your USB ports until you unplug one lead and reset them.

2. Machines that can use both cannot have ports that are too close or too far apart, or the leads will either not fit together, or just not reach (if the ports are on opposite corners of the device, for example).

My machine’s USB-C ports were a short distance from one another, and the magnetic clasp on the leads caused them to pull together and stress the connection. 3. The dock neither supports DisplayLink nor acts as a basic USB hub when testing with a machine that doesn’t support DisplayPort over USB-C.

There doesn’t appear to be an alternate connection method for either video or USB. 4. The number of USB ports (A or C) is a little slim. This isn’t the dock I’d recommend for a user with a mouse, keyboard, phone charger, headset, and camera.

This dock has issues. I have have had it for just over 2 weeks now and here are the problems I have encountered so far: – It can’t drive a monitor with a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, attempting this configuration causes the monitor to be detected by windows but nothing will display on it.

– If you have multiple displays when unlocking the machine one of the displays will occasionally drop to 640×480 resolution. It seems the only way to correct that is to disconnect the display from the dock and reconnect it.

Note that once it did not correct the problem so I disconnected the dock from the laptop. When I reconnected it blacked out all the displays for a few seconds and then bluescreened the computer. – The dual USB-C connectors protrude a ways from the side of the machine and it is easy to accidentally hit the plug or the cord which can knock then out of position and cause one of them to become disconnected.

– If I put the machine to sleep and disconnect it from the dock when I reconnect its as if the machine woke up while disconnected because all of the windows have been dumped to a single display. This is a minor annoyance and it only takes a minute or so to put everything back to where it was but if you spend a minute doing this every day it still adds up to a few hours per year.

I have used Dell products a long time and do prefer Dell. Dell products are innovative and always great quality at whatever level you need or can afford. This Dell Dock likewise is well made and durable and I expect it will be long-lasting and problem free.

This docking station allows a great customizable computer set-up turning my laptop into a workstation with added devices. The setup is making sure your laptop BIOS and drivers are up to date and then simply loading drivers and plugging your devices in.

Setup is pretty much automatic, easy, and fast. I didn’t have any trouble. If you are new to Dell if you have any questions or problems Dell offers excellent customer/tech support. When using the Dock there is no lag time between installed devices and data transfers are fast and glitch free.

The Dock allows you to add monitors in addition to your laptop monitor and the image/picture quality is excellent on the added displays. My children absolutely love added monitors and the resolution and refresh rate for gaming.

I am not travelling right now but this Dock is ideal to take on the go as it is small and portable. I love the convenience this device allows to have a workstation on the ready and simply plug and unplug my Dell laptop when I am coming and going.

The dock itself is small, looks stylish on the desk, blends in well with my other devices and the ports are easy to access. Using the Dell Dock I can have been able to upgrade my laptop adding lots of extra devices I otherwise could not have.

It just makes my computing more customized, enjoyable and powerful.

This Dell dock is easy to set up and works really well! All I had to do was plug it in, connect my monitors, and connect my laptop via USB-C. Updating drivers was quick and painless. On the front you have a USB-C or a USB-A 3.

1 option, which is perfect for my Dell Latitude. On the back you have two Display ports, one HDMI, another USB-C and two more USB-A ports. I have two monitors connected to it and the responsiveness has been great for both! The max resolution is 3840 x 2160 using the Display ports.

A gigabit ethernet port is also included on back, so data transfer speeds are excellent! Also in regards to performance, this runs completely quiet and doesn’t give off any noticeable heat. As an added bonus it has something called Dell ExpressCharge, which helps charge my laptop and or phone faster.

Overall, I’m very impressed with the looks and performance of this dock. It’s easy to set up and looks sleek and modern. It really does help keep my desk clutter free! If you’re looking for a quality dock I highly recommend checking this out! My only advice is to make sure it’s compatible with your device first.

I’m using this on a 2018 MacBook Pro with no issues. Quality is top notch. USB C cable is heavy weight, and long enough to reach from the bottom of my desk to the top. MacOS 10. 14 recognizes the onboard Realtek audio just fine.

Mac users may want to make the Ethernet USB the preferred (first) network interface to prevent the MacBook from trying to use wireless instead. I have both active concurrently, needed for Apple Watch to automatically unlock the computer.

The only complaint I have is the rear audio port does not seem to output sound. I don’t know if that is because it also includes audio in (3 channel/plug segments) and I’m using only a left/right audio plug (2 channel/plug segments).

Front port works fine for left/right audio out. The only downside is there is no USB C output on board. The Apple SuperDrive will not work connected to one of the USB A/B ports.

I took a bit of a punt buying this and not knowing for sure whether or not it would work. Having a new work computer fitted with one, I loved the idea of a single USB C cable to charge and connect everything.

Newer computers have only 2 USB C ports and one of those is for charging. I’m going to try this with my Surface Book Pro when it gets back from repairs. (It turns out that Microsoft’s flagshit hardware is held together by cheap glue which allows it to split at the seams when the batteries expand 5 minutes after the warranty expires.

) For now it’s hooked up to my Google Pixelbook and attached to:- 1: external Samsung curved widescreen monitor, 2: hp printer 3: dymo label printer 4: RJ45 LAN (in) 5: 3 x LaCie external hard drives (total 12TB and simultaneously readable) 6: vacant USB ports available for phones, video, iPad etc And all connected via a single USB C to the Pixelbook which allows the other one spare!.

This Dell product is substandard. Keyboard and Mice when connected via the dock exhibit erratic behaviour to the point where its so frustrating there is no choice but to plug them directly into the laptop.

Check the Dell support forums for more information as this appears to be a common issue with these Docks and similar models, there are alleged ways to mitigate the issue which I’m yet to try. e. g. change laptop bios settings such as the C state and Thunderbolt settings.

The screen also appears a little blurry when connected.

This is very cool docking station. Connects to the laptop via USB-C Thunderbolt 3 cable (make sure your laptop has Tunderbolt 3 or 4 port) and provides Gigabit Ethernet, Video signal and also power to charge the battery (130 W for Dell selected laptops).

The only one thing I coud not figure out – how to supply the Audio signal from the Laptop to the Monitor with built-in speakers. For some reason the Audio signal does not go from the laptop through the dockiong station to the monitor connected via HDMI cable (latest version).

Also please note that this docking station model is WD19TBS (simplified version) which doesn’t have the Audio 3. 5 mm Output port (unlike WD19TB model). The unit and it’s power supply stay slightly warm.

The B&H price is great, much lover then Dell. com offers. The unit came brand new and very well packed. Thank you B&H !.

This is advertised as being model # WD19TB which contains a head headphone jack and is no longer sold by Dell. The item I receive is the newer version WD19TBS, which has the headphone jack omitted. Thought I was getting a good deal, but there are a few vendors that sell this model for a lower price.

Office Depot needs to correct this to avoid confusion. Both models otherwise function the same, but I was hoping for the headphone jack. You can obtain audio through one of the other connectors with an adapter.

Using this docking station with my Dell XPS15. One Thunderbolt connection is now all I need to have my laptop connected to two QHD monitors (one of them widescreen), desktop speakers, keyboard/mouse, and a backup hard drive.

That still leaves a few ports available for additional accessories. The only thing that would possibly make this dock better would be the SD card readers that some other brands include. It’s nice to be able to just unplug one connection to go portable – and plug back in for a desktop-like experience.

So far, I’m very pleased with my purchase.

This module is Great! It is quite simple to integrate into our our environment. The ability to bring the old WD19TB and WD19TBS into the TB4 world is an awesome feature. Ideally, this module addresses the issues we were seeing with the previous Generation WD15 and TB16 Docks where the Cable Connection ends were breaking and rendering the rest of the dock useless.

Now there is an option to revitalize and save you from having to buy all new docks, by just getting this module! Great Idea Dell! Thanks for this one!.

Just what I needed. I was sold the wrong type of docking station and took a hit on that cost. Fortunately, I was to save a little buying it from Walmart in hopes it would solve my issue and it did! both financially and functionally.

Excellent upgrade works flawlessly. It is greatly overpriced even with the value it delivers but still more cost effective than a new Dock which is essentially what you end up with after the upgrade.

This dock was perfect for me! I love that it has enough USB ports for my mouse, keyboard, and phone, with plenty to spare. I really like that I can run my two external monitors through it. It charges my dell precision m5510 very well.

It’s not quite as fast as the power cord, but it’s close. I do get a warning from the BIOS about it being a 95W power supply when booting to windows though. The biggest bit of awesomeness is that I went from 5 things to plug in every time I sit down at my desk to one thing to plug in.

My only complaints: – The cord for the dock comes out of the left side, and has to bend to go in the left side of my laptop (where the USB-C port is) – Sometimes the signal sent to my 1920×1200 external monitor makes the text blurry.

I’m using a DVI cord attached to a DVI to mini display-port adapter – The monitor I have connected over VGA takes about 5 seconds to come up when I first plug in the laptop. That may be the monitor’s fault though.

I have an old DELL M6500 precision workstation. It is 7-8 years old and solid like a tank delivering higher performance than most new laptops out there. This dock gives it two new Displayport 1. 2 and extra USB 3 ports.

This means I will be able to attach more QHD monitors at 2560×1440 resolution and perhaps even 4K UHD monitor at lower refresh rate of 30Hz. This gives it an extended lease of life. I can have access to extremely reliable technology of engineering class without having to pay the original prices at 10x the price for high quality used computer equipments.

And it provides plenty of power for normal every day work with rock solid reliability. I also bought a DELL 2415q UHD 4K monitor. Even though the DELL Precision M6500 and its Quadro FX 2800M graphics card are only certified for QHD resolution 2560×1440, on Windows 7, it instantly recognised the DELL 4K monitor and set resolution automatically to 3840×2160 @ 30Hz.

I then tried to create custom resolution at higher frequencies. Finally the whole set up could work reliably at 3840×2160 @ 40Hz. I am very happy even though it would be best at 60Hz. The reliability and the beautiful new 4K monitor all shows the good engineering from DELL and Nvidia.

The dock does as much as you could want for the savings versus a higher-end dock, except for fit the shape of the laptop. While the dock is compatible with many models of laptops, we’re using E7xx0 laptops which have a gaping (3-4 inch!) opening between the back of the laptop and the back of the dock.

No Management personnel would leave that as-is. Dell sells a spacer to fit in that space, so it can be less ugly. Overall, the dock performs reliably, and has enough ports. (Check to be sure that the port you need is included! There are no HDMI ports.

I was provided with one of these for work. I ended up buying a second one myself for home use as I take my laptop home nightly. Setting up multiple monitors was very easy. Of note, there are several models out there.

I specifically went with the PRO2X because of the additional output options. Some of the newer and smaller models don’t have as many outputs.

It’s really great not to have to pull out 10 cables out of your Precision Workstation. It works like a charm, and stays cool – never thought coolness will be a feature: I use a usb-c to hdmi adapter on a MacBook – hate it, it heats so much that the bluetooth mice adapters malfunction when attached to it.

Works great. My computer screen became fuzzy and blurry,however when I connected to a TV monitor, it looks just fine. So I bought this dock station so I could keep my computer closed and use the tv as a monitor.

I had to buy a keyboard and mouse, but the important thing is I can still use my computer with the docking station.

This docking station makes it so much easier to connect my laptop to a power source and all the peripherals I use with it (monitor, keyboard, mouse). When I used to connect my laptop directly to the ac adapter and peripherals, it used to constantly overheat.

Not anymore! The docking station also allows me to organize all of the cords by feeding them thru a cable sleeve. The only thing I’d revommend is to also buy a docking station spacer to eliminate the space between where the laptop docks and the “riser” of the docking station.

It also removes the guesswork of lining up the laptop to the docking station “pins. ” I use the station with a Dell E7240 abd E7250. The spacer I bought was the E-Port Docking Station Spacer for Latitude E7240 E7440 E7250 E7450.

I was completely surprised by the features on this docking station. No cords came with it but it is very useful. It even allows me to have a two monitor desktop. The computer laptop electrical cord fits the docking station as welll.

There is even an internet connection. Wow.

Withing quite well with Lenovo Ideapad 5. On occasion I have to unplug and plug it back in, for it to start charging, but overall it does everything I needed.

Sure if you want to get non functioning unit, fortunately I have extra power cords to replace the wrong one with.

Works well. No issues. I have 2 monitor setup and it works flawlessly so far.

one day when I forgot to bring my laptop, I took a chance plugging my Samsung Galaxy S10e into the Dell thunderbolt docking station to see if it would work, and behold! Samsung devices have a feature called “DeX” which makes it basically a computer, filling a monitor, using mouse/keyboard, wired ethernet, USB drives, etc.

Samsung sells docks for the purpose, but I haven’t had the desire for one enough to pay the prices they want. And, at least for most of the ones I looked at, they don’t charge the phone through the cable, but some of them include a wireless charging pad.

Well, this Dell thunderbolt laptop docking station, with USB-C laptop cable, plugs right in and works, EVEN CHARGING THE PHONE. Aside from doing everything it promises for the laptop, the reason I bought it in the first place, I now have a better Samsung DeX dock than Samsung sells! Yay!.

I initially bought this as a way to have a one-cable USB-C connection for my HP Envy X360. It works perfectly for that, and also for my Surface Laptop 3. In both cases, one connection supplies power and connects me to a slew of other devices.

My one concern was that the cable was on the short side, but I was able to get a USB-C extension (certified for power delivery) and now everything works! Well worth the money!.

Sleek compact design. Offers plenty of ports and a 180w power supply is more than enough to power everything in use. Charging is quick overall I am happy with it. Much better with the 180w option over the 130w.

As long as you don’t want to run three displays on your XPS15 This is a good dock. The Dell chart says it can run 3 high def displays, but after working with Dell support for 3 hours, I can assure you it cannot.

I have the best XPS laptop Dell offers, with the best video card available. I am connecting to Dell displays. I can only get 2 of them to display despite the system recognizing all three and trying a lot of different connections and setups.

Other than that this is a great dock. High speed, charges your laptop through the connection with the dock and more than enough ports for all your toys.

If you need a laptop to travel but feel like having a pc with all the peripherals attached once you get home without having to get another machine, this is the device for you not only it gives you the Pc feeling it charges your laptop at the same time!! Just plug it in and the rest is done with a real keyboard and real monitor access all your data as if you had a completely different machine!! I got it because my charging port was playing and that was a temporary way around it and much more, additional USB ports,speakers jack all in this small and well build device and the price is well worth it!! Very happy overall.

It all works Ok. I needed it for an old laptop (Dell Latitude E5530|) to get some extra ports and it does that without problems. It can be powered from the laptop PSU. I have a crowded desk so it is convenient to have the peripherals plugged in behind the laptop and not hanging out of the sides.

Display Port is glitching. External monitor is going on-off once in a minute. Probably, the contact is lost somewhere. Other than that, no complaints. Switched back to the usual DP cable, which this port replicator was supposed to eliminate :(.
