This little dehumidifier really keeps my bedroom from smelling as musty/feeling mildly humid as it used to. I wanted a small humidifier that would blend in with my room and I would barely would notice is there and this is the perfect size to sit on my dresser.

It’s similar to a medium size jewelry box. In my extremely humid house, it fills up with water in about a week and then auto-shuts off and alerts you that it’s full. I like that I have the option of removing the tray to dump out the water or unplugging it from its cord and carrying the whole tiny unit since I’m a klutz and afraid of dropping the tray on the carpet.

It’s also very quiet – it tested at 35 decibels which is halfway between a whisper and the average refrigerator.

Gets the job done, though it does have some background white noise. Seems a little loud at first, but then becomes something you get used to. Appreciate the large reservoir which eliminates the need to empty it constantly.

Great for small bedrooms, bathrooms, or similar rooms. Customer service is also excellent, if any issues arise.

I bought 2 of these units for a 4x4x80 tent. It would take at least 4 of these units to have any real effect. 1 unit might work for a 2x2x2 tent, but that’s about it. Units are quite and well made, but really not enough for tents of any size.

Works like a charm in my laundry room. Quiet and easy to use. No more mold and mildew for me.

I purchased this dehumidifier on the basis of independent reviews and rating agencies. It is adequate for my purposes and so far seems to work as advertised. The fan is noisier than I had expected, but tolerable.

I wish it were simpler to empty the bucket. It is too easy to spill water while emptying it, and as a result I have to carry it to the bathtub and pour it in there to avoid drips on the floor. A couple of hours after I installed the unit and turned it on for the first time, I noticed water pooling on the floor behind the unit.

After some investigation, I found that water was seeping out from the seal of the drain cap on the back of the unit. I tightened it as much as I could with my fingers (I did not use a wrench for fear of breaking the plastic), but the leaking would not stop.

I called the Frigidaire help line, but this took many tries as an automated message said they were too busy to take another call. I eventually got through and spoke with an agent who said she could not help me because I had purchased the unit from Amazon, and that I should return the unit to Amazon.

I found this option unacceptable, and decided to attempt a repair by myself. I unscrewed the drain cap and wound teflon (plumbers) tape around the threads and replaced the drain cap. This seems to have resolved the issue, but I am disappointed that I had to figure out how to modify a brand-new unit with no advice or assistance from the manufacturer.

We have a cabin that sits on a concrete slab and our two front bedrooms have always had considerable humidity issues. I began researching small room dehumidifiers when a more permanent solution could not be identified.

I bought two of these units as they seemed to be the right size, right noise level, and had reasonably good reviews. Within a few days on continuous operation – I was amazed at the difference in humidity.

Bought this to replace a dehumidifier from another brand that had been recalled. This unit does not have a pump or remote control. For my use, have no necessity for those features. The first thing I noticed when I plugged it in and started it is how quiet it is comparison to the previous dehumidifier I had.

Not by intent, this also has a feature that works perfectly for my situation. It seems that dehumidifiers push the “exit” air out in assorted directions. This unit (if you are facing the front) pushes air out of the left side.

There seems to be no standard direction for which direction the air is pushed away from any of the manufacturers. It was just fortunate for me that the left is the ideal direction. IMO, consideration for which direction the air is removed will depend on where you place a dehumidifier.

Don’t want to locate it in a direction where the air removed is blocked by a wall or other obstruction. I am also using a short hose to drain the unit and that attaches at the rear. Nothing complicated, just remove a hose cap and attach at that point.

Be aware that some units drain from different directions. Again, this unit and the rear connection is ideal for me. I have only had this online for about 3 weeks at this time. No issues or complaints about how to operate or maintain.

We live in a 900 sq. ft. daylight basement, which is constantly humid. Before purchasing this unit our living space was always sticky and uncomfortable. We purchased it based upon good reviews and have not been disappointed with its performance.

We have run the unit 24/7/365 and have not had any problems until after two years of constant use the humidity sensor needed to be replaced. Customer service was easy to contact and quick to reply in helping us to diagnose the issue and to send a replacement, along with video and written directions on how to replace the sensor.

It was very easy to do. I have no complaints. the dehumidifier fan runs a little loud when you are close to it, but the fan speed can be adjusted high or low and once getting used to it just fades into the background.

It was odd to me that the indicator seemed to remain green (damp) for ages, but when I unplugged it and left it a while it turned orange then.

It arrived not “charged”. It’s been plugged in 17 hours so far and they all are not showing orange there are still some green balls in there. There also is a orange substance on the outside of the unit which appears to have leaked onto the manual also I have no idea what this is.

I measured it at 137° while “recharging”. I’m a little apprehensive of leaving something this hot against an outlet on a flammable wall. It is plugged into an extension cord sitting on a aluminum cookie sheet to prevent a possible fire.

First I’m going to start by saying don’t listen to the experts that tell you to buy a 4000 or a 3000 square foot Dehumidifier for your whole house. Size it to be a few hundred square feet over for the room you’re going to put it in.

If you buy a 1000-square-foot Dehumidifier for a 100-square-foot room one of two things will happen and you’re going to have to live with it. Update: drive has been running for about two weeks and is amazing !! Worth the money. I house has a little less SF 2000 and SF 4500 acquired the unit on the recommendation of an article I read about ridding your home of moisture states to buy the biggest drive you can afford without is too big for ita € ™ s counterproductive and creates excess heat for space.

So I decided to buy the SF 4500 unit because we have moisture problems. To give you a visual of what I bought this dehumidifier, I was so tired of having to clean the windows every morning. Condensation on windows was so thick that covers moisture literally every window of the house from top to bottom, like steam in a mirror in the bathroom, but ten times worse, water would accumulate so thick that there were drops of water They are running down the windows and we would have puddles of water on our windowsills.

People buy it. And sorry, I really think that by buying a â € € œportableâ unit. They weigh a ton, and dona € ™ t cool early, as well as a smaller window unit lower power and price, which weighs less and is like in the real world portable.

Yes, the room is cooled very well. But there are plenty of negatives. It is a quiet place as advertised when in fan mode, but my goodness when that shoots up capacitor, it is surprising and very loud and noise.

No way you can sleep through that noise change. Which means that when I want the room cool I have to sleep with earplugs. It’s not fun. Also vent hose is much bigger than my old panel sliding fit is too long and needs to be cut to fit the window.

Neck pain, which, besides which means that the window has to be higher, cutting off the light. The last thing is – is much heavier than my old one. I could barely move in the room where it was needed.

Which weighed 62 lbs and was without water. Much more heavy than advertised. I’ll give it a few more days, but I want to go back, even if I have to pay shipping. Those who make do. Yuck.

Really more 41/2 stars. I purchased the largest unit and I have it in my basement. so far seems to work very well at collecting excess moisture in the air (I also have a Frigidaire unit in another part of my basement that’s several years old so I have a comparison to make this review).

I find the container of the Vremi smaller than the Frigidaire unit (I don’t use the drain but rather save the water to wash clothes and water plants). I also find the container is made of a much thinner plastic and feels flimsy (compared to the Frigidaire).

It also only pulls out from the sides and doesn’t have an indent in the front, which makes it likely that some water will spill out into the unit when you pull the container out. I also wish it had more space between the floor and the rollers (my surface isn’t flat and there isn’t really room to put wood shims that allows enough space to pull the container in and out of the unit).

And replacing the container is also tricky — you gotta push on both sides gently just-so (especially compared to the Frigidaire unit). So overall the unit works well for what it’s supposed to do. you just got to be gentle with the container and know that you may be changing it more than other units cause the container is on the smallish side.

Overall the product works well. We use ours in a finished basement that is wide open with a large square footage area. We needed something big enough to handle the large space. We have had numerous other dehumidifiers over the years, but this is the only brand that pumps out heat like it’s a heater not a dehumidifier.

It raises the temperature of the basement by over 10 degrees, which is horrible in the summer time. We simply can’t use it during the warmer months, which pretty much defeats the purpose of owning it.

If I could do it over again, I would go with a different brand.

Unit was purchased in 2019, 2020 unit iced up a few times but defrosted itself. A few weeks ago we noticed unit iced up again. We unplugged it and it thawed. Unit appeared to be working, but no water and humidity was increasing.

It’s working somewhat, but it’s not quite as effective as I had hoped it would be in our 27-foot RV. In the small bunkhouse / metalshop area where I need it to work, it lowers the humidity by a few percentage points according to my gauge.

Unfortunately I still get humidity building up on windows and have to supplement this machine with Damprid granules. I wouldn’t recommend it for extremely valuable instruments and things like that unless they are in a closet or safe.

You’ll need to spend a LOT more money and get a bigger one I’m guessing. But if you just need a dehumidifier for a bathroom or a tiny space it’s fine.

I live on a 2nd floor flat without a balcony. I Dry my clothes indoors especially in winter months, when the central heating is on I have a lot of condensation. I have tried this product while we had a spell of hot weather and was surprised of the amount of moisture it had picked up.

A friend had recommended this product to me. The only thing I would say its to small if you live in a house.

Product listing claims that will dehumidify 210 sqft. Using in an RV in high mountain desert (i.e. low humidity) and it is not nearly big enough for the task.

Either I have a defective unit, or this thing does not work at all. I have had this dehumidifier plugged in for a week, in my bedroom, and it hasn’t absorbed even a drop of water. I even placed it in the bathroom after a shower, for a few hours, and nothing.

Radio sounds as being played through a can and the numbers are too bright waaay clock. Even dimmer setting the clock numbers light up the entire room. I colored in the protective plastic film that comes on the clock with a red pen hoping that attenuate enough, but it was not.

Light leakage through the front of the clock and out into the ring along the edge. I have to turn the clock around so that it faces the wall so that the whole room is not illuminated. There is also no scene of the early you want to turn on the light before the alarm goes off, it is 30 minutes before the alarm and that’s all.

It would be better if it had adjustable settings as May 10, 15 minutes before the alarm goes on. Again, but my husband and threw the box.

Purchased this one for a room whose door is often closed and gets humid in there summer. Have one already in the bathroom that is a couple of years old and still working beautifully. It’s a little hard to clean the water reservoir so get a tiny bottle brush, the kind meant for reusable straws, and you’re all set.

With a full charge, mine will last between a month to two months before having to recharge. Very simple to charge, recharge. Just plug into a electrical outlet and charge as stated in directions that come with it.

They are for use in a small area , like safes or a small closet. You can’t go wrong buying one if you have valuables you want to protect from corrosion, rust.

The only other product I received that had wireless capabilities was the Lockdown Puck that measures humidity based on its side vents, which also monitors temperature based on my set thresholds.

Besides that, the Eva a little larger than what I anticipated. Approximately 3-weeks after placing it in my safe, it may be too early to determine it’s maintaining the internal humidity; which has been running 58% according to my Lockdown Pucks readings.

I’ll be interested how the recharging feature works.

I debated between this and a dehumidifying rod (the kind that is also used for pianos and gun safes). In favor of the rod was the fact that it would operate indefinitely without my having to check on it in any way.

In favor of the Eva-Dry was the fact that it doesn’t require power to operate. In the end I chose this because there isn’t an outlet inside the closet and I certainly didn’t want a power cord trailing out from under the door and down the hall to the nearest outlet, which would be unsightly and also a tripping hazard.

(Of course you do have to plug in the Eva-Dry in order to recharge it. ) So far I’m pleased. I think it’s going to work for several weeks before needing to be recharged. Since I do have to get things from the woolens closet on a regular basis throughout the year, I’ll see it frequently and that will remind me to check the color of the beads as well as another one of these units that I bought for a more out-of-the-way location in my house.

The first time it required recharging an overnight recharge was more than adequate. The beads became a very dark blue–bluer than they had been when I received the sealed package, which indicates that some small amount of moisture had penetrated the packaging before its first use.

The unit should be recharged in the driest room in your house. My house doesn’t have central air conditioning, but in my basement a dehumidifier runs year round and empties automatically into a waste line, so my basement is consistently dry year round and that’s where I will be recharging the Eva-Dry.

Anyone who has difficulty getting it to recharge overnight might be trying to recharge it in an area that is simply too damp. I noticed that there are similar products on the market and I wondered which one was the original.

Some of the other brands seem to be knock-offs and I was concerned about quality since I was ordering this online, sight unseen. In this day of small electrical and electronic devices assembled who knows where, I worry about items like this being a fire hazard.

The Eva-Dry appears to be of excellent quality. The plastic case is quite heavy duty and the label says it is UL-listed. The heat generated during recharging isn’t excessive, and it seems to be working as advertised, so I’m feeling pretty confident that it was a good choice.

This dehumidifier works great! It is silent, easy to use and efficient. The light turns color when the water needs to be emptied. I want to get another one for the other plant room to stop mildew.

Besides the most recent one, I have purchased 3 others. The smallest one does not have enough power, and has no effect, even in a little steamy bathroom. The 1st one I bought worked fine for a few months, but then the on – off switch in the back of the machine on that model, got stuck, and wouldn’t work.

I ordered another and set it up with a power switch at the outlet, so that I wouldn’t have to use the little switch on the back. It is working well. The one I purchased from your site has the button switch on top that works so far.

There is a noise that sounds as if there is a fan inside that is off kilter and is lightly hitting something. I can stop that noise by putting something under the unit to tilt it back about 1/2″. It is working so far.

Works as described, in that it collects approximately 500mL per day, but perhaps the maximum size space has been overestimated??? I am using this in my bedroom, which is 1536 cubic feet. The ProBreeze says it is effective in up to 2200 cubic feet.

However, the relative humidity in the room has not decreased, even though the unit is collecting water (as read by two different hygrometers). I am also concerned about one of the items in the safety instructions that says it is not to be left unattended while in use.

I do not spend much time in my bedroom during the day. So, if I have to shut it off every time I leave the room, it would only be running for a very short time and thus would be even less effective as it is when running 24/7.

If I knew that I was only supposed to be running this while I was in the room with it, I would not have purchased it. Now, I am taking a chance by running it 24/7, going against the safety instructions.

I have been using a crushed air conditioner pan tablet in the water collection tank to prevent mold growth. I wish the top of the tank would snap off so that the tank could be cleaned and disinfected more efficiently than just trying to clean it through the small hole.

I bought one of these about 20 months ago and it worked great at first. In a small basement room with minor damp problems it pulls about a cup of water out of the air every week which makes it dozens of times better than disposable chemical units.

At 16 months it started not turning on sometimes unless I tapped it gently and at 20 months it stopped working. I was able to dismantle it with minor damage to the unit and reassemble it and the problem appears to have just been loose wiring.

There are sometimes minor design changes to units like these; mine dismantled by removing 2 screws on the bottom and 2 in the middle behind the tank then prying off the plastic grill on the top with difficulty as it is held on with plastic tabs and removing 2 screws under the grill.

I realize that it’s not able to dehumidify the entire house, but I wanted to see how well I could control the humidity in a couple of different rooms. This thing works amazingly well. It uses around 75W to run at full power, so at my electricity rates, it’s around 16 cents a day to run full-time.

It pulls a LOT of moisture out of the air when the humidity is >50%, but it’s not as efficient at levels of <50%. It will still pull out the moisture, but it takes longer. I placed it in a particularly humid bathroom and left it running at full, and two days later, the humidity level in the room was only 32% , even with the bathroom door open.

The rest of the house was around 55%. This is a great dehumidifier for room-sized areas. The lights are really just a gimmick, and I usually leave them off, but they could make a nice night light. The drain tank lid is kind of flimsy, so take care when you open or close it.

It’s not too loud to be disturbing, either.

I ordered this dehumidifier because I have a bathroom with a walk-in shower that has no ventilation system. Steam regularly gathers and condenses all over the bathroom whenever someone takes a hot shower.

As a result, mold kept appearing in different places like a whack-a-mole. Lo and behold, this dehumidifier has successfully solved my problem. This little gadget actually works to eliminate mold growth.

It sucks in the moisture, the life blood of the mold, out of the air. Water vapor still condenses, but the condensate disappears in no time. Thanks to this dehumidifier, I don’t have to install a vent for that bathroom, saving me some hard earned money.

In my 450 sq ft garage with washer and dryer two garage doors and tow exit doors, doors closed all day out side temp high 90’s and outside humidity upper 70% to 90% (Houston , TX) garage today was 91 degrees with 80% humidity dropped from upper 60% brought down to 54% in garage.

Other days heat 98F and 80%; 95 degrees 90% temp outside and humidity. Inside humidity dropped to 60%- 62% and 54%. Keeping my tools and all metal from rusting which is a major problem here with the high humidity.

Indoors (living area) we keep temp at 78 degrees and humidity is 48%.

Living in the south I deal with a great deal of humidity. After pruchasing a HomeLab 50pt dehumidifier for my large garage I was super pleased. It worked fantastic, removing tons of moisture and keeping the garage right at its set point of 50% humidity.

As with all things it eventually failed, hey nobody’s perfect. Not having much faith in new item warranties from past experiences, I almost didn’t bother calling but decided to try anyway. Nothing ventured nothing gained, right? Spoke to a Ms.

Emily Blake at customer service. She was very pleasant and after hearing my tale of woe and checking on my registration info, she told me that she would be happy to replace the humidifier at no cost.

You could have knocked me over with a feather! She took the order on a Monday morning and the replacement arrived Tuesday evening via UPS, pass me another feather! I haven’t had time to fire it up yet, letting it sit static for 24 huse like the box said.

In any case was super happy with the original product right up until it diedl. Ultra pleased with the response I got on the warranty so have no doubt this one will work fine. If not I’ll post but in the meantime kudo’s to HomeLabs for their product and service and thank you Ms.

We’ve been using this for a few weeks now and are very happy with this 50 pint unit. We are manually emptying the bucket, which is getting to be less frequent (every two days instead of 2X a day), thanks to the lowered humidity in our entire, 1600 sq.

ft. house. It’s a little less quiet than I’d hoped, but the reviews accurately stated the acceptable level we are experiencing. It’s in the studio where I work all day, so I have to turn it off for some phone calls but it’s not a big deal.

Moving it around (empty) is easy on the casters though. Small trade-off though for pushing back the mold-causing humidity in our Florida house in winter. The regular daytime, 3-degree delta between the outside temp and our heat pump’s air conditioning function means the heat pump is unable to dehumidify the house.

This won’t be a problem in the summer for us, but this is the best solution to a winter problem that has been building for years. The house smells noticeably better. Our towels are drying out; my artwork is now safe.

We’re very pleased with this purchase; it looks nice and the good reviews have been spot-on.

I use the product in the basement of my home. The area is finished (80%). It is where my home office is located. Years ago I noticed that leather goods (footballs, baseball gloves, etc. ) were getting a moldy film on them.

I deduced that the moist atmosphere was causing this to occur. Seven years ago I purchased my first dehumidifier. Within weeks the leather products never formed this coating again. I was shocked to see how much water is pulled by this unit.

Once it caught up, the amount of evaporated water collected was greatly reduced. My only negative comment is the life span of these units. I am on my fourth unit in seven years. Granted my first two units were from another manufacturer.

The Homelab unit failed after 30 or so months, longer than the other brands. I just started using my new unit and it is performing like a champ. I will definitely consider this manufacturer again when the need arises.
