We have been using Tascam LM-8ST on outdoor events. The unit is rock solid and robust. The knobs are a little too tight and they get even tighter when it’s cold. The unit is deeper than many other 1U rack mixers, take that in mind if you’re using a shallow rack case.

Installed in a shallow rack, LM-8ST leaves only a room for inserted plugs under the rear lid. Also be careful for there are no phantom powered mic inputs. No need to mention the Tascam’s great audio quality.

High quality piece of equipment. Knobs are smooth and clean, fully balanced signal throughout and enough inputs and outputs to satisfy a number of scenarios. Works well for me as I wanted a mixing solution that was not going to take up desk real estate.

I always found TASCAM products to be solidly built and good sounding. The LM-8ST is no exception. Although I didn’t have time to work a lot with it yet, my first impressions are very positive: it is very quiet and has quite a bit of headroom.

Personally, I would have prefered a dedicated effects send circuit instead of the ST2/AUX buss TASCAM has put in, but it can be configured as such using little switches located under the unit, so it isn’t really an issue.

The knobs have a solid feel and all the inputs can be set to -10 or +4 db. There is also a general ground lift switch. All in all, a simple but effective mixer worthy of the TASCAM reputation. A good machine for mixing a keyboard setup.

I bought this mixer to replace a Behringer Xenym QX1002USB, and it has not disappointed. After the channels on the Behringer stopped working, one by one, I was looking for a high quality upgrade. The reviews and extensive YouTube demos of the Yamaha MG 10KU mixer gave me the confidence to order it and since using it I’ve had nothing but positive experiences.

This is not a toy. It is a pro-level quality component that is built to work. I use it primarily for home studio recording, but bought it so that I would have the flexibility to extend to live performances with small groups, if needed.

I mostly record trumpet using a Shure SM57 dynamic mic but I have also tested with a condensor mic using the MG 10KU phantom power. I have also tested with a keyboard and trumpet through a Crybaby Wah pedal.

It works perfectly for all. A few things that I had to work out for myself when recording with a backing track via USB, that differ to the Behringer and are not well documented. 1. With the Line/USB button depressed, the levels and other dials for channels 9/10 control the USB playback into the headphones.

They do not control recording like every other channel, so leaving the dials at the zero position prevents any USB audio monitoring. ; 2. The “To Mon/To St” button must in the raised (monitor) position.

Otherwise the backing track will be looped back in the DAW and recorded. Since working out these things it has been happy sailing.

Used for a simple home studio with guitar, bass, keyboards, mics, electronic drums. I was shopping for separate recording interface and mixer with discrete stereo and monitor busses. Waffled on this and decided to try it for the price.

I have had a few Yamaha mixers now, and the mixing function was as good as I expected, but the USB interface. I was expecting major latency and so-so quality; they didn’t even include the USB cable, a real manual, or helpful info on how to get the interface going, as if it were an afterthought.

Wow, the interface works great! I have it connected to a 1. 8GHz i7 laptop using ASIO driver’s, and it just works with barely noticeable delay. I’m diggin’ it.

With the pandemic it became clear I needed to up my video conferencing gear. Being mostly an acoustic player with vocals and a second guitar and vocalist, I wanted to be able to handle at least 4 mics.

This mixer got great reviews. The sound is very clean. That’s what I wanted. What I didn’t like was how hot the back of the unit would get. I measured 115 degrees with a digital thermometer. Heat is not a friend to solid state devices.

Computers too. It really bugged me. I have the mixer sitting on top of a metal riser used for computer monitors. The riser is perforated and sits 6″ above my desk. There is plenty of air around the mixer.

This is my second unit. I returned the first because of the same issue. No one at the store had heard of the heat issue with this mixer. Previously is had a Allen & Heath mixer that was pretty good. It never got hot.

After seeing this happen, I would now guess this heating up of the mixer is a common issue with it. It makes me question the longevity of the mixer. How long can it go before the heat begins to affect the internal parts? Something will eventually fry.

Yamaha MG-10 analogue mixer, affordable, fairly solid and well made, I like the screw-on mains connection. I also like Yamaha products in general, a dependable manufacturer. I am using the mixer for a live rehearsal set-up, plugging in a drum machine (using two channels for left-right stereo panning), two guitars and two microphones.

There are seven channels available, mixing is straightforward and easy. I have the main outputs connected to two active speakers, and the MG-10 acts as a competent pre-amp for these. I also have the monitor outputs connected to a recorder so I can make a recording of the songs, very clear and great quality sound.

Only downside is the ‘aux send’ socket for reverb unit etc, which has no return socket, and if you use a line channel for the return it just produces feedback. However I am very pleased with the mixer and anticipate it meeting my needs for many years to come.

Loving this so far. It’s a great way to get my feet wet in terms of learning to spin, scratch, mix, and create mashups; however, in just a few weeks I feel like I am already outgrowing it. Small, light, and portable, and cheap enough that I don’t mind if it gets dinged up too much, but I will probably upgrade in the near future.

Good for: Beginners who want to stay beginners or just use as a hobby Bad for: Beginners who want to continue to grow. Had I known what I know now about controllers, I probably would have gotten something a little higher end, but this still serves its purpose and will make a solid backup when I do upgrade.

For the price it’s alright, especially as a first controller, but the pitch/tempo slider will drift mid song which can really ruin a smooth transition. Not to mention the scratch button is just a decorative feature that’s only function is to light up, after about a week it stopped turning off scratch all together.

Not really sure about the auto loop feature either. wouldn’t it be a better idea to have the pads load loops attached to a track instead of eight pads to do the sole function of starting a 1/16th beat loop arbitrarily without the option to save the loop to the track? I dunno man.

Just some stuff that felt far more superficial in design than functional.

Great controller for someone getting started, pretty solid feeling controller and I really like the FX paddles. Serato lite is ok, but I quickly moved on to Virtual DJ which this controller works great with and gives you far greater configurations such as FX and allows you to use the EQ as AI stems separation.

Only things I would change – A loop encoder instead of buttons, but the buttons work just fine. Also would be nice to have more than just red LEDs, but these are just my preferences. Overall very happy.

I love being able to connect bluetooth to my phone and tablet. Playback music and play along. The effects are and added bonus. No complaints so far.

I am not a professional dj but this little guy it does the job i hook up two 1500 watt pyle speakers, you can connect your pho via Bluetooth, a usb drive or a pc I use it to host a babyshower.

I needed a mixer for 2 volcas and another synth. This seemed to fit the bill, offering an Fx send and return for my effects unit as well. Unfortunately I have a few gripes with it, that definitely make it not worth its price tag.

1st issue is that all the volcas are portable and power able with batteries. This mixer is not, so youre either tethered to a 240v power socket, or youve gotta come up with some kind of custom 9v battery power source to power your setup on the go.

(I used a professional sound/camera equipment battery with a 9v regulator in the end) Then the quality isnt that great. It may as well just be a big standard mixer without any of the additional features, because using any of them results in poor quality output.

The Fx send is the worst element. Its mono send and stereo return, so I had to make a custom cable for my stereo input on the mini kaoss pad, or it would only output the effect on the left channel. Whats more, the lack of a wet/dry control on the fx return, and the struggle to marry levels with different gear makes it quite messy to use for most effects.

The speakers on it are also worse than the ones built into the volcas themselves. Would have been better off trading them for fixing some of the other issues. A much better mixer can be had forthe same price.

The downside is they wont visually look as good next to a set of volcas or be the same form factor. There are a few Kickstarter options that look to be better, but theyre hard to find in stock, and I believe one of them is already discontinued anyway due to lack of customer interest.

Specially designed by Korg to control three Volcas. So you can power, mix,control tempo and add stereo spread and dynamics (compression) all from this unit. Two mono and one stereo channel each with individual tone control all in a neat little unit which fits into Volca racks.

The only drawback I can see is, as the Volca range grows, more units provide a stereo output so there is a strong case for at least two channels to be stereo.

Overall Volca Mix is good to add 3 Volcas together and power them up. However I think Korg did drop a ball a bit with this one. Sync option on it is rather half- done. The mixer is noisy as well especially when it’s run through headphones.

Dynamics/compression part is ok but it can be approved. Stereo widener. I have no idea what Korg tried to with that. As an additions I would say it’s good and nothing more than good.

I was looking for a small mixer to accommodate eight 3. 5mm stereo line inputs. Combining two units worked nicely. Very low noise, smooth pots, quality throughout. Simple green flickering LED’s show signal coming in and red for overload.

It has RCA inputs on 3 channels and a choice on input 4 for a 3. 5mm plug. Adapters took care of it. The company even has a matching parts cabinet! Highly recommended. The 24 volt power supply is weird.

Great for mixing multiple stereo input sources into two outputs. I used a standard 5. 5mm x 2. 1mm 24V 800mA power adapter, had to make the hole slightly larger with a drill to accommodate the slightly larger middle pin.

Has a blue power led which I had to cover up because it’s blinding, peak meter is cool.

For what it is, a digital mixer for under £200 its is fantastic. Obviously some of the features of the full digi desks are not there but neither is the price. Overall a quality product with professional sounds and features done in a way that’s more affordable.

Don’t be put off by the manufacturer, they have come a long way and I not only use their products for personal use but have successfully used these in the professional arena without any issues. For future versions I would like to see more ability to work without the app although most features can be located within the menu and a different USB power adapter, my experience with these is that they are quite fragile and if on the road with this mixer this could become an issue.

So far though no issues to note. Sound quality is excellent, no mixer noise what so ever (other manufacturers need to take not of that) if anything the sound is ever so slightly bright but not to the detriment of the audio, if anything I find this tends to enhance the outcome and can be EQ’d out of needed.

If you are comfortable with using iPads as your control surface (can’t wait for the DC16 surface to arrive as a possible addition) then this is everything you will ever need in just about any conceivable production situation.

The advanced features are incredible. Your routing options are pretty much unlimited and the user interface is easy and intuitive. I’ve always been a Mackie fan. The most amazing thing is the amount of production power you get in a 3 rack-space unit all over WiFi.

No more bulky, easy to trip on, and easy to break analog snakes. I’m blown away. I run a Yamaha M7CL for a church band and I would put this up against that $20,000 (when new) console any day for it’s features.

Can’t wait to try it out as a recording interface in my studio, too. Sooooo versatile. Like any new digital mixer, there is a learning curve for each manufacturer’s specifics, but if you’re familiar at all with the digital realm, you could have this up and running a show in about an hour from pulling out of the out of the box.

Love the sound – It’s super clean w/o sounding like the mackie 1604 stuff. Love the way multiple people and multiple levels of security are possible. Presets can be a huge asset. However. something as simple as copy a channel isn’t there? Bogus.

Also be aware for the recording artist in you that is uses COMPRESSED wav files. meaning you have to extract them out to have multitrack DAW access after the fact. Not a huge deal, but it is when you can’t figure out why you have a multi GB size wav and only the first 2 tracks play in stereo.

I also want to see 2 things appear for this product – Laptop support for a better GUI experience and a physical ‘fat channel’ interface of some sort. The iPad screen is too small for incremental moves (like for instance a singer stuffs a mic in a monitor and you have 0.

002 milliseconds to react to it). The internal FX are adequate, and can be made pretty good by routing them through EQ’s/Comp/Limit. They are at this time pretty basic, but a skilled engineer can handle it.

They are by no means SPX grade effects, but can be made to work nicely. Did I mention though, the mix engine sounds “fantastic” ? I A/B’d it against a high end Yam**a mixer. and it won. It also beat out the Pre***nus 16.

4. 2 for sound. That’s no small feat.

I purchased a Mackie DL1608 right after it came out and it still provides the quality and ease of use I was hoping for. After the DL32R came out I was going through the capabilities and was surprised to see many enhancements to the mixing engine and hardware.

What I was most interested in was. – The ability to record direct to hard drive at a gig. – The ability to use it as a 32 channel sound card for recording sessions. – Enhanced routing control giving using the matrix.

– Dante connectivity, optional. – The ability for the mixing system to grow using a hardware control surface. Having the DL1608 first I was able to dive right in and have been totally impressed with DL32R.

With the increased availability of Dante enabled powered speakers in the near future I can see the DL32R taking over the larger gigs I provide sound for. Highly Recomended.

This is great set it up on the stage and mix from anywhere in the venue!!!! You can mix while sitting with the crowd. Also being able to allow players to control there own monitor mix it sweet… and you can record all 32 channels of this allowing you edit and use it for review of rehearsal for the band members or record entire live performances.

I bought the DL32s thinking that it was going to be the answer to all my sound woes. But I got the thing took it out of the box and from the get-go could not load the firmware. I bought an iPad, I bought a router, I called technical support at Mackie.

All to no avail. In fact , after Mackie gave me one troubleshooting option that I’d already tried 50 times they gave me the silent treatment until I hung up. screw you Mackie. Unfortunately I sent it back and if I were you I’d buy a Behringer X32.

I am replacing a Mackie DL1608 which was awesome. This mixer is the big brother to that mixer. It provides 8 Aux outs which gives me 6 individual monitor settings and a separate Aux out for our subwoofer.

Each performer can adjust their monitor mix on the fly with their own smart phone or iPad. This is exactly what we needed.

This little mixer is great. I used this along with a ONSTAGE 4 way headphone amp and I was able to turn my kids jam room into a silent ( well almost ) one. Few pricy cables to get it going but no worries.

I can now have Bass, Guitar, Vocals and Electronic drums and through headphones. They can all hear each other, but my wife and I only have to hear muffled tapping and strumming. They grow up jamming and we stay sane!.

You need nothing else if you’re looking for a basic, straight forward mixer that does it’s job. It will serve you well for scratching and mixing while delivering decent sound quality. The only thing that I do not like is the line fader curves when set to a more smooth mix/blend curve setting.

Other than that this thing worked perfect out of the box and continues to do so.

Works great, knobs have the perfect amount of resistance to dial in a perfect eq and the slides provide consistent control for volume. Versatile too, I use it to mix house beats and for some metal groups that I do live sound for.

I wish it had more inputs for the latter use but so long as you bring your own stacks this thing can be useful in any situation.

I love the size and weight of this mixer. It can be used with 4 line inputs if desired, which is my main interest in purchasing one. The only setback is no bass/treble adjustments for the mic. You can always brighten up your speakers if they are powered to clarify some of the vocal tone.

Overall, a great low priced mixer.

Positives: – Two microphone inputs – Sturdy body design – Simple layout – XLR outputs with booth, master and record ouptuts – Good sound quality through headphones – Great price for a four channel mixer Negatives: – Pots are made of plastic – Some of the switch wear feels plasticy – Heavy (may be an issue if travelling, which I don’t) – No effects I bought this mixer to go with a pair of NDX900s (highly recommend) as a budget four channel mixer, as I will want to add an Akai sampler and Korg Kaos pad a later date.

It also means when friends come over with Kaos pads they can plug in and we can jam! It’s a little heavy and the body is a solid metal design of a little bulky, which is fine for me as a bedroom DJ however people that plan on taking this unit on the road may want to bear it in mind.

It’s well laid out with plenty of space between the various knobs and sliders, it’s almost as if it was designed to be a cheap begginer/learner four channel mixer and not intimidating like other feature crammed mixers (DDM4000).

It’s easy to set up, easy to use and simple layout makes it a joy to mix on. The only negative I can point out is that the pots and sliders are made of plastic. It’s fine for me and perfectly acceptable at this price point, however if you’ve used a Pioneer Djm or any mixer with rubber pots you may not like the feel of them, however it’s not an issue unless you’re over-enthusiastically hanging off them and ripping them about whilst mixing.

The sound from the mixer is great, and it has an XLR output for professional speaker systems, the usual master out and a booth out with dedicated volume controls, and a record out which is handy as I use this as an input to my laptop for recording mixes on Audacity.

Overall I think this is a great four channel mixer for begginer/bedroom DJS, it’s easy to use and whilst lacks effects it feels sturdy to use and is great at this price.

It’s not the £2000 mixer it has had to replace and yes, there is a notable difference in the sound quality. That said, for the money, I’m happy with what I have bought. If there one (and only this) it is the responsiveness of the rotary eq’s on each channel and their lack of effect in trying to make minor adjustments.

Non the less. Value for money and a very “workable” mixer with good build quality. At less than £200 I’m happy.

My M6 arrived two days ago, and I must say, I love this mixer. Although never mentioned in the Numark documentation, this model is apparently an updated version with an all-black paint job – most likely a response to complaints about oxidation around the crossfader’s silver panel on the old version.

Other than that, it appears to be the same as the two-toned model. After two days of thorough testing, I haven’t found much to complain about. I was looking for a solid, no-frills mixer for the mancave studio, and this seems to fit the bill.

The first thing is noticed was how noise-free this mixer is. At the price, I expected a little hum or something, but nada. I plugged in the CDJs and powered them up, still zero noise. Just to be sure, I cranked up the amp to 9ish, still quiet.

I was pretty satisfied with the purchase by that point, and began mixing some house tracks, back and forth on channels 3 & 4. No surprises, no complaints. Split cue is available, if you’re into that.

The are no EQ cut buttons or switches, but the knobs are so effective at killing that there is almost no sound from the headphone when they’re at -30. Much better kill than I expected. When the EQs set normally, there is plenty volume from the headphone.

The volume faders are just stiff enough for my liking, the crossfader is a little looser, but there’s no slide in it at all – better for mixing than scratching. You can assign any channel to either side of the CF, and adjust its slope with a two position switch, but a turntablist would have to replace it with something looser.

The inputs are fantastic. I’ve been using a two channel scratchbox for years, so this mixer is like getting out of prison for me. There are four main channels with an additional channel for DJ mic with XLR-type input only.

Chs 1 & 2 are phono/line combos – I would have liked a third phono input, but only two on the M6. Tradeoffs. Ch 3 is line/USB and Ch 4 is line/mic, with 1/4″ jack for the mic. This allows me to plug in a musical instrument and play/record straight through the mixer via USB or analog RCA.

Unexpected but fantastic! The USB port is working perfectly for me as output for a PC. I haven’t attempted any recording at this point. I’ve connected with Window 7 Professional, both 32- and 64-bit versions, no problems.

It took about 5 minutes for Windows to find & download the usb codec, so don’t sweat it, if it’s seems to be taking too long. All in all, it’s exactly want I wanted. The M6 is bare bones. No effects, no sampler, and no dedicated effects send/return lines.

Just plenty of inputs, perfect for a DAW or bedroom dancehall. Essentially a digital studio mixer with a crossfader. We’ll have to see about it’s longevity, but so far so good. If your looking for a home mixer, and trying to decide between a dinged-up used Pioneer 500 with missing knobs and broken switches, or a new M6 with USB capabilities, don’t hesitate to go with the Numark.

I’ve had this for a few weeks now, and it’s the best mixer for the money that I’ve ever bought. I’ve had a wide range of Behringers and Mackies, and this is the best small mixer I’ve ever used. It’s the only mixer in this price range that has a dedicated aux output (aux 1) and another dedicated FX channel / aux 2 out.

This is why I bought it. I like the 4 XLR inputs, and you have 2-4 more channels as well. It’s got very low noise – I couldn’t even hear the noise until I took the master level way up (almost all the way up).

All mixers have noise if you turn them up loud enough. If you have your gain set right, you’ll never turn it up loud enough to hear noise. So the sound is crisp and clear, the controls are great, LED lights are bright, and it generally looks good too.

Only cons I have for it are that it does have the brick power supply (but that’s how they make it a small mixer. by not including power conversion inside. most small mixers generally do this), and the effects are not really that great.

There are like, 200+ combinations of effects, but really, it’s a range of reverb and delay, and maybe a chorus that you can use. The rest are either no good or don’t even seem to work (like the flanger).

For example, the spring reverb doesn’t sound much different from the other reverbs. So don’t think you are getting a wealth of effects. They are average, and will do the job of putting some reverb or delay on your voice.

good for vocals and ambiance, not much else. BUT, still glad they are there and I am certainly still using them, or using the aux 2 out to bypass the effects and have 2 dedicated monitor mixes. You’ll love this mixer.

You won’t regret buying it.

First let me say that I would knock off a half a star due to the flimsy power cord and connector, but there are no half ratings, so I leave at 5. I started with a Behringer model similar to the specs of the Alto, which I used for several years, and always gave me good service.

The down side is it did not have aux send, to adjust what channels go to the monitor send. Everything else about the Behringer was fine for my use (solo act – vocals, keyboard and sax). I bought a much more expensive Allen & Heath ZED10FX, but the high frequency response was not good enough, which required me to use the “shape” button on my Roland amp, which is what my mixer is plugged into.

On a whim I bought the Alto, giving myself a 50-50 chance that the quality would be up to my standards. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Although I haven’t used it on a gig yet, the tests at home show it to sound darn good.

At less than half the price of the A&H mixer, and a smaller footprint, you can’t go wrong with this mixer for an inexpensive mixer for live performance. As far as effects, I only use reverb, and found it to be as good as the A&H and Behringer (ok, maybe a bit better than the Behringer).

The pots have a little play when turning, but they seem to work fine, and hopefully they will hold up over time. The layout is easy enough to make quick changes at a poorly lit gig. Construction seems sturdy enough, with a blend of plastic and metal.

Isn’t very heavy, which is a plus for me, since I have this permanently mounted on my Roland amp. Overall, I’m glad I bought this little mixer and wish I had tried it a few years ago.

I carefully researched this before purchasing. I already own several Behringer mixers and a Mackie Mix12. I chose this for a few reasons. I does a few things that the others don’t. This has 4 mic channels and two 1/4″ channels.

All 6 channels have EQ and gain controls, so there are 6 fully usable channels. The Mackie Mix12 has 4 mic channels and four 1/4″ channels. So it has 8 total channels, but 4 have only volume controls, no EQ.

So for my purposes, it has only 4 usable channels. This Alto mixer also has separate Aux controls for FX and Monitors. My other mixers have only one Aux control so it is difficult and tricky to use effects and monitors at the same time.

So for my purposes, this is a much more versatile and useful mixer. It also has a very small footprint, so it can be carried in a laptop bag or briefcase.

This product is perfect for the bedroom DJ, not only it is the club standard layout, for the price you can’t beat it. We all no that pioneer is just too expensive, so this is perfect combined with a pioneer RMX-500 and two CDJ’s you’ve got yourself club standard gear and some of the effects that the pioneer gear has, this mixer is like i said perfect for the bedroom DJ, or even if you’ve got a tight budget.

I’d seriously recommend it. However just to balance my judgement out if you are planning on using the effect’s without a external effect unit, it’s really fiddly and they just straight up sound rubbish in comparison to the pioneer gear.

Even then the combination i just mentioned (if you are going to be using effects) is quite close to what a pioneer set-up is like, but for less price then a mixer from pioneer! so think about that. So, if your not going to be using effects this will simply be all you need, seriously if you don’t want to use effects, this is just as good as pioneer gear.

Scratching will work perfectly fine with this, and generally i’d say if your not using effect, there is no reason at all to get pioneer gear. Overall i’d say that this is simply the best emulation for getting club standard gear, as well as full upgrade ability in all sorts of areas on the mixer or even if you’re are on a tight budget.

Great mixer, fx are fine, beat counters work with vinyl which I was surprised at. Would have preferred a pot for the master volume as Ive accidentally caught the slider a couple of times but got used to it now.

All in all its pretty cool.

Great product and plays my vinyls great. But only set back is that is not a compatible hardware to play DVS with software like Serato DJ Pro or Virtual DJ. Besides that great features and effects on mixer including BPM counter with I loved.

Product is used in small jazz combo setting to amplify voice and horns (solos only). The board can be placed anywhere for quick control. I use this with my Samson Resound vx8. 1 stack I purchased from Sam Ash.

Very compact set up with a big sound. You could easily run the amplified rhythm section through the board and stack. Together, I think its a better combo and sound than the Bose system. Recently heard a concert with two Bose stack systems.

The Bose couldn’t project the bass over the drummer with low tuned drum heads and the piano sound was hollow. Plus, no feedback from the Samson stack holding the mic right in front of the stack which can be angled in two different directions or straight forward.

i have a channel mixer that I am using for gigs. Keyboard, vocals and cell phone tracks. I went to my local store to see if I could find another like it. No luck. I went on line and finally found a reasonably priced 4 channel.

I started getting emails that they were back ordering the mixer. After a week of them searching for the mixer I decided to cancel the order. i was not expecting to find this mixer. It had many more channels.

I had never heard of this brand. It was used and very reasonably priced. I ordered it and when it arrived. After hooking it up. I was very pleased with the sound and easy of use. Thanks helping me out.

59 vocal works great). the guitar and vocal are picked up as one unit in stereo. It is a realistic sound to record this way. i cannot say enough about the mic pre-amplifiers. They are quiet, clean and have good headroom.

Note: I have also recorded via three channels with a vocal mic on one and an acoustic guitar pickup/mic combo respectively on the other two. The reverbs. echo/chorus are very good (as are the eqs) and this little mixer is a great value and is extremely easy to navigate.

It’s really simple to use. It’s a plug and play experience. No second guessing for myself. I use it for live performance. I run my guitar through a channel (it has dedicated guitar inputs) then my computer through another.

I needed to eq the sound via the mixer (as it has an eq section for each channel) Running through an average PA speaker, the high frequencies were easy to bring down and my music sounded very close to my audio intentions.

I am very happy with the Mixer. Lot’s of support online for setup and excellent sound quality. I was hesitating at first as I never had any Allen & Heath mixer before but the QU-16 is a really excellent piece of gear with enough input and mix to keep me happy in my studio for years to come.

In my opinion it is worth the money.

I added this to my arsenal which includes a Qu-16, on which I mix the majority of my shows. I find the workflow very easy to grasp, coming from the analog world. The EQ’s sound good, and I use 2 of the AB168 Stage Boxes which add a layer of flexibility I find very useful.

The only cons I can find are: Would like like more dedicated mono aux sends for monitor mixes Would be nice to have Gate/Compression indicators on every channel strip An RTA overlay in the EQ window would be helpful (Midas has this).
