Every woman should read and learn it. In addition, give the book to their girls when they are teens. Some things are dated such as the answering machine or classified dating ads but the concept is still the same when it comes to attraction between the sexes.

Ladies need this type of common-sense knowledge so they learn to conduct themselves with class and dignity while dating guys and much of the advice could be applied to one’s life in general.

It works so much I’m married and 8 of the 9 people I’ve bought the book for are also happily married or so to be married over a ten year period. It does work because it forces you to be determined about what type of relationship and the level of respect you want for the next forty years.

It forces you to be disciplined. Something I was never that good at. I’d also read Dr Greenberg (I think) Why men marry some women and not others for exceptional tips that compliment this book as well as Anton Levay Satanic Witch though in truth I never found any Satan worthy stuff in the book but as part of a trio it changed me into formidable marriage material.

This book has a variety of topics for dating couples. However the contents is more suitable for couples in their early 20’s. I felt certain topics should have been written with more biblical insight.

I haven’t read through the whole book yet, but even the parts I have read through have been so amazingly helpful. Its important that any relationship, whether it be with a friend family member or loved one, is centered around a relationship with God.

This book really brings out and stresses the importance of how important it is to have a relationship with God. Very good, and easy reading so far. Any dating couple should look into reading it!.

This is book #2, in the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For complete understanding of the series, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

He never thought Laura Jean would walk away. This book was so full of action I actually read it twice. The pace is rather fast once it gets going, and the characters are all caught up in the action that consists of high school and getting ready for later in life.

I love the banter, and there is such a sweet heat between the main characters I am rooting for them!.

I read this book after watching the Netflix movie. I was surprised by how many good parts of the book were left out in the movie! I loved reading more about the relationship between John and LJ. The little details in the book really made me fall more in love with John Ambrose.

This book’s made me so happy! It’s sweet and sad, it makes your heart skip and your heart clench. Ah so cute! P. S. I Love You is the continuation of Lara Jean’s love story. This was one of those series that left me with a huge smile.

I can never get enough Jenny Han’s books. She is definitely one of my favorites when it comes to YA Contemporary Romance. Overall, it was really a fun, light and cute read that will make you swoon. Kind of book that will get you out of a reading slump.

But I’ve actually heard they are making this into a movie so I’m super happy about that!.

That is how I got my initial book back in 1994, from my marriage counselor. I had given my book away to someone else in need of it, much to my regret! I wish I had just lent it out. So now I have re-purchased this for myself.

I looked at this book from a different perspective than most readers. I didn’t read it as a person in need of relationship advice. Rather, I read it as a person who has been happily married for 22 years.

My question was, how closely did the advice in this book match what I was doing successfully? A bestseller since 1988, the book is separated into 3 sections: -the first part talks about how unmet childhood needs can affect your future relationships.

-the second part talks about a marriage that can fulfil your unmet childhood needs in constructive ways. -lastly, part three is the exercises. Here you’ll be taken through a series of exercises that you can do at home that have been actually used in the author’s practice.

They’re easy to do and involve writing. Well, that’s a rough synopsis that should give you a little bit of a feel as to how the book is set up- and what its about. So how closely did the advice in this book match what I have been doing all this time to create a successful 22-year marriage? Perfectly- both the book and I promote the idea that you have to work at your marriage to make it work! And perhaps that’s the best piece of advice of all: find constructive ways to make you marriage better- and that’s one thing this book most certainly succeeds at.

Other self-help books I liked include “Finding Happiness in a Frustrating World”.

This book is spot on with relationships, emotions and conflict spirals. Sometimes the words used to explain the scenrios e. g. ‘demon dialogoes’ can be hard to follow, but the writer is so observant and really does pinpoint those raw emotions that come out in a fight with your partner.

Good information to know, but it can be hard to apply as I feel like all the examples show both partners equally and easily falling into line/following the steps the writer stipulates (alas the world and people are not so malleable).

I would still recommed the book though.

Hold Me Tight describes most of our need for continued “Bonding” in adulthood, and the biggest place we should get that – in our marriages. She has many very good exercises to help couples work through the topics.

This should be Mandatory in Pre-Marital Counseling, and is excellent to improve good marriages, and help struggling marriages. Best used in conjunction with a counselor using “Attachment Theory”.

Absolutely love his content and his view on relationships. His such a good author and has helped out a lot to understand males perspective of things.

What a great book this is. Very helpful give me more confidence to talk to people and how to talk to men. Would highly recommend if you struggling to get the guy.

Great book ! Love it! Eyes opening

I first heard about this book and it’s author on the Oprah show. Immediately I was intrigued and went searching for my own copy of the book. As soon as I received the copy I bought online, I started reading and although somewhat skeptical regarding the theories presented by the author, I found this to be an excellent read.

I believe I learned a lot about why we choose the intimate partners that we do and why ultimately “true love” almost always disintegrates into a power struggle between the two. The last section of the book even provides the exercises that the author uses in his therapy sessions with couples.

Complete directions are given, including a timetable for when to complete them. Over all, I thought this book provided some excellent insight into the unconcious workings of the love relationship and is definitely worth reading if you’d like to work your way into a “concious” relationship!.

I purchased and read this book before then gave it to a friend. I purchased another so I had it on my book shelf for future reading!!

Great book, very details. Easy to understand and analyze. Gives good explanation and examples to better comprehend different scenarios. I would recommend.

David Richo’s writing style is exquisitely eloquent (without being long-winded) which makes the content very memorable and digestible. I continuously find myself re-reading sections of the book to fully absorb the material; usually I chew through books fairly quickly but this one is put-downable in the very best way.

Would highly recommend this to any adult hoping to mature in their relationships, whether intimate, platonic, familial etc. I anticipate coming back to this book time and time again throughout different stages of relationships over the course of my life.

David Richo crystallises and explains the complex world of relationships and psychology beautifully and clearly. This book is a wonderful summary of what science tells us effects our relationships and what our hearts/spirits need.

it is quite exceptional! It does exactly what it says on the cover. A wonderful, profound book.

It says the same things I had guessed and had been telling my brother. Stop hashing and rehashing. It is the past, you know why it happened, you can’t change it, take responsibility for yourself and move on with your life.

For any guy who is having issues in his relationships or is just having a hard to getting one, this book will open your eyes up to what you may be doing wrong that keeps pushing that special someone away.

I read some things in the book that are completely against my judgement but when implemented my point of view on them changed and I agree 100% with what Corey Wayne (Author)had to say. This is a must read for those who struggle in the relationship department.
