Excellent camera right pout of the box. Literally plug & play, no confusing ,convoluted steps. I’m not a touchscreen fan, but I’m a convert using this camera. I added a 64GB card, don’t know if that matters , but I had a couple lying around from our older stand alone GPS units.

Only drawback I could find is that I wish it had an optional swivel type windshield mount to fine tune left & right field view. Only has up & down, or fore & aft depending on your point of view. I have a few old swivel mounts & may try to attach one to the camera’s mount.

I would by a second unit for our second car, but it has a good one installed at this time. I may have to adjust the time change in March to keep the lawyers happy if I ever needed the video in court.

Set your time correctly also. Two minutes to do it all.

The dash cam works well. Clear video. Audio not so much. DO NOT DISCONNCT WHILE RUNNING!!!! Turn off your car first and let the unit shut down first. (Voice of experience) Downside : the fitting for the camera to the windshield only tilts and does not rotate for side window shots and police interaction.

Another caution. Be absolutely certain of the camera location before applying the adhesive pad. you`ll figure out why if you mislocate it. which is easily done! Other than that, no probs!.

The website was easy to navigate and it had many choices and options. Ordering was easy and I received the product fairly quickly. The products were in sealed boxes and everything you need was there.

The Thinkware X700 was one of the lower cost dash cams but it looks and works like one that costs much more. The only thing I would caution about is the cost of the micro SD cards. If you want more capacity than the standard 16G card, you are better off buying a larger one from Best Buy or even Walgreens for one third the cost.

So far, I have only worked with it on a counter top. I haven’t installed it in the car just yet.

Cameras were nice and clear, got a bit of a wobble in the video from the vibration on the bike. Within a week the monitor stopped working. Tried both options to get power to it after it stopped working and neither worked.

The cords to run the power, button for taking pictures , etc are way to long, with no option to shorten them. Makes it very hard to hide these wires on the bike. Could of ran 2 bikes with the amount thats there.

I ride everyday. This thing is awesome. I can hear when it turns on when ever I turn the key on. And turn off when I shut the bike down. I put the dvr under the passenger seat to hide it. It gets pretty hot and this thing hasn’t crapped out on me yet.

Having a front and rear camera is essential.

Everything was great quality ! It shipped to me the next day & The cameras and screen all came with protective wrap over the lens so you could install without scratching. The cables have arrows so you know which way to install and when there fully locked in.

Easy to fit (hubby did it for me!). Both front and rear cameras show good clear pictures. Would definitely recommend.

The only problem was to get the app running on my Android phone. Everything was perfect after I solved that problem.

After a few tries with different camera systems for my bike, and returns. This product is really good. Easy to install. The recording unit is SOLID. It records amazingly clear day and night. Try this one out if you are in the market.

This was super easy to install in my 2011 Silverado. With the smart hardwire kit that was included with this dashcam made life so much easier, no need to remember to turn it on and off. The inside fuse panel doesn’t have switched fuses, only constant.

So I had to hardwire it to the X-14 block of the MBEC. Routing the wires in the headliner without pulling it down was a bit tricky but doable. Picture quality is really good. The front camera image quality is excellent, which is to be expected.

The rear facing camera I have mounted inside at the top of the rear window which is tinted with 5% limo black. Even with the dark tint the image quality is outstanding, way better than I expected after reading some reviews.

I have zero complaints about this dash cam. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Picture is very clear. Huge downside is the app. Not many features and you literally have to turn off your cellular data in order for it to open up live view. And you have to turn on WiFi on the camera every time you wanna open the app.

They need to make it so that it will stay connected while your in the car and the camera is on. And keep cellular data on too. Also a pain to download a video. Takes forever and constantly errors.

Cameras seem fine. were fairly easy to install. You do need to be careful where you hang them. once the sticky tape is up you can’t move it. I did install the front camera behind the review mirror, out of the drivers sight.

Can only see it from passenger side. I would have liked to have had a few extra feet on the cord for the rear camera and maybe better directions on how to hide the wires in an SUV, the front wire is hidden but not the rear, it hangs down from the front camera.

I just tried the wifi connection to my phone for Playback. seems the video is quite clear. you need to be in the vehicle to access the wifi and password off of the camera. so far so good!.

Not impressed with the video quality, even in clear daylight. The rear cam can’t see at night in parking mode. The interior has good infrared at night, but video is very grainy. The field of view is significantly less than in many other dash cam models.

Instead of front and cabin cam on same unit, they are two separate cameras, which adds wires and takes up space on your windshield (in many states — illegal). I think the cabin cam should be on a 360 rotatable mount.

You can aim it higher or lower, but not turn it toward you more (as you might like to do in the case of a cop or road-rage driver coming to your window). I like that they use tape rather than suction mount.

It was very easy to run the wires and hide behind trim (took 10 minutes). I haven’t done the hardwire yet, but it’s simple. I’ve had no issues with the companion app for viewing. I can use the app to view the camera live (to set it up), to change the settings, and to view the recorded files — but only when it’s connected to my home wifi.

I can’t figure out how to access the files beyond that. But if you want to view using the cloud service, you’ll have to pay for a special device (costly), a SIM card, and monthly data service.

I purchased a Blackvue dashcam from BBMC a few years ago but needed another one and decided to go with Thinkware. I was underwhelmed with the overall install process and felt the Blackvue app was a lot more user friendly.

Katrina went above and beyond and was extremely helpful with the return process. I’m now running two new sets of the DR750x Plus and am very happy with them. Smooth pre-order of unit and excellent communication with Terence after shipment of dashcam delayed 1-day. Received in perfect condition and after installation, Wi-Fi button became stuck (embedded) into the body of the unit after I depressed it.

Very disappointing to say the least. Immediately contacted Blackvue and was referred to BlackboxMyCar (seller). Advised to download, complete and submit DOA form in order to receive RMA label. Informed return/replacement will take @2-3 weeks total.

Unit functions properly otherwise and I am considering whether to keep it. Playback of recordings are very clear. However, when viewing via the Windows microSD Card Reader app, video will occasionally freeze.

Switching from my vehicle’s Wi-Fi network to the dashcam’s Bluetooth “network” for Cloud vs. camera access is cumbersome. Hopefully, Blackvue will develop and release a future software update that streamlines this process.

Default video display setting (3) is slightly dark, but can be adjusted. Volume of installed dashcam is barely audible. It can also be adjusted, but could use an increase in available volume settings.

I’ll provide an update to this review, once I hardwire the dashcam and have a chance to test parking mode functionality.

I connected this up to my car it’s very small and fits nicely behind the rear view mirror. It works easily with no fuss it switches itself on when the car starts and it switches itself off when I turn the car off.

I have not had to review any video yet because I have had no incidences. I have downloaded an app which when I have Wi-Fi and the camera has Wi-Fi so basically when I’m parked outside my house I can access the camera from my phone in order to view videos and pictures and of course you can view the same on the camera itself with its little screen.

This feels like a good quality unit and I’m happy so far. It also has some extra features like voice commands which do work for example you can tell the camera to take a photo or record a video when there has not been an incident.

It also so try to warn you sometimes when the traffic starts moving and you at the lights or if it sees a sign for a speed camera however this is not always perfect but I see more of a a bonus because I was not looking for this feature.

I will by reviewing some videos and pictures and if I’m happy with it all I will probably order the hardwired key to so that I can use parking mode.

This dashcam only records a single video file, which automatically overwrites when the memory is full (about an hour for the included 16GB card). It does not/will not create separate clips when the car is moving (i.

e. a clip of each drive. totally defeating the reason of having a GPS unit). Their app is garbage and will not connect to the device. I called into to Garmin support assuming something was wrong with my unit, and they advised that this is the way the device is supposed to work.

To troubleshoot the app connection issue, they wanted me to provide a list of every app on my phone before they would help troubleshoot the connection problem. This is a perfect device if you want an hour long clip of your garage door, and no videos of anything meaningful.

Save your money. Buy something else.

After the initial installation, I was sure that I was going to return this camera. Despite the small size, it stands out way more than I would like. The copper colored lens can be seen a mile away. However, once I started using the camera, the voice control really sold me.

Being able to save video hands-free is killer. Its hard for me to imagine reaching up towards the windshield while I am driving on the highway. In the heat of the moment where someone just cut you off or did something dangerous, it would only increase the likelihood of getting into an accident.

The general positives of this camera are the voice control, small size, and the video quality. I hate the initial lawyer screen that wants you to click to agree. However, if you wait long enough, it goes away on its own.

Also, the weather has been cool, but on a couple of warm days, it looks like this camera will quickly overheat. I suspect its all of that video processing that it does to check for drifting lanes or getting close to the car in front.

Even on normal days, the memory card is prettywarm to the touch. Parking mode is fine. I had to buy the parking cable and hard-wire the camera. However, in practice, I just find tons of parking videos when I get back to the car.

Anything moving in front of the car will trigger it. The VIRB app for downloading videos is just ok. You have to go through the menus to start sharing videos. Then change the Wi-Fi on the phone to use the camera, and then finally view the app.

I have been using this camera for a few months now. Essentially, what I expect from a dash camera is to record everything, so if I am involved in a car accident I will be able to see the details, such as date, time, location, speed, license plates, street signs, car color, maker and model.

The camera has to be reliable and not hinder my view. Pros:Small, depending where you put it, you will forget that it is there. The voice commands work very well, even with the radio is on and there are other noises.

I have my radio on all the time and only a few times it thought that I issued a voice command, but this cases are rare. It records all the important data, such as date, time, GPS and car speed. Configurable.

You can turn off Forward Collision Warning System or the Lane Departure Warning System (which I hated), change the camera resolution and so on. Easy to install. Field of view. The camera covers a pretty large area.

Cons:Resolution. I am disappointed with the resolution. I set it to the highest one, 1440×30 FPS, but in order to read a license plate or car manufacturer/model you need to be pretty close to the car.

This camera has a very clear image it captures everything with clarity and perfect images. Great dash cam to record everything for your road trips. From the perfect angle. I love the clarity of all the images and the sharp detail each image has.

Can also record with a wide angle lens. You can view 360 view and it’s also clear for night views as well. Itd rechargeable with the LCD display. Also records audio. Great product!.

I bought this because it said that it was simple to set up. I’m afraid it is far from simple – or maybe it is me who is simple? I’m in my 60’s but fairly savvy and I’m struggling. The first hurdle was actually attaching it to the windscreen.

The instructions are ok, which I followed, then it just fell off. No problem I thought, there was a metal plate with an adhesive pad in the box. The windscreen mount appeared to have a magnet under the adhesive pad, so I scraped off the old adhesive and tried to stick it to the metal windscreen disc.

It just would not centralise. It was as if the magnet was trying to repel it. God knows what I am doing wrong here. The instructions don’t even mention the magnet!! So I haven’t even had a chance to use the camera.

And what on earth is ‘Travelapse’ it doesn’t explain. It could do with some clear and precise instructions designed for the average Joe!!.

How in the world does Garmin think a 30 second clip is enough? When you save a video it saves the previous 15 seconds and the next 15 seconds for a total of 30 seconds. If you’re in a accident or near miss you might not instantly think of saving the clip, and it you don’t save it then, it’s too late.

My 45 saved 3 minutes worth, 90 seconds before and after 90 seconds after the save was activated. You will then have to go to your unsaved video and hope it hasn’t been overwritten to find a full length clip of what you’re looking for.

This is very poor thinking on Garmin. I do love how the app works, it’s so much easier than the old VIRB app. I do want to note this is for my Garmin Dash Cam 57, but it appears that the 67 is the same way.

Very good , once it’s in it does everything itself, is small so hardly noticable when it’s sitting on your screen! warns you of the speed you should be doing, where there’s speed cameras, when traffic is moving, has live camera.

The camera is very good quality, but doesn’t show as much of the side angle i expected it would, I bought it mainly for the parking guard as I’ve had my car damaged when parked at night, one of the good features is that it records once triggered off and sends you a text message and the recorded footage, BUT what it doesn’t tell you in the description is you have to be close to it! Which defeats the object , so you have to be right outside your house! Which is a shame the Garmin 67w would have been perfect otherwise, so you can’t park your car anywhere and get camera footage unless connected to your internet or someone else’s.

So it’s not doing for me the most important reason I bought it!! I’m hoping eventually there will be a way it can connect to the interent network like our mobiles do! The app is good easy to use, but to use the vault to see your footage you have to be close to the car! Therefore the same internet issue.

Worth the price superb quality

I’ve used this camera for about a month or so now and so far, it’s been a great purchasing decision! I’m now drive around with peace of mind, since I know that if anything happens, this camera will be able to capture it.

It’s extremely easy to install, suction works great. They also provide a plastic trim tool to help you tuck in the wire inside your car. Also, be aware that this DOES NOT come with a microSD card. I recommend purchasing a HIGH ENDURANCE microSD card, specifically made for dash cam recordings, so that you can guarantee and feel safe knowing the camera will be able to save your footage when you need it.

You wouldn’t want to buy a microSD card not made for this, and find out that it wasn’t able to save footage of your accident. As far as picture quality goes, it can read license plates ~5-10 feet in front AT A STAND STILL during DAY LIGHT.

Don’t expect it to be able to clearly record license plates of moving cars. For night time, it’s not that great and you shouldn’t expect it to read any license plate. The best thing to do is to READ OUT the license plates if an accident occurs, so that you can still go back and listen to it, should the camera prove that it’s unable to show it clearly.

One thing I don’t like is that it uses a cigarrette-style car power plug, which takes up an entire space and doesn’t allow you to plug in any other usb cord. Hopefully they change it up for the next iteration and have the power plug be a usb adapter.

Overall, considering the price, this is a great alternative to buying an expensive dash if you aren’t committed to shelling out >$100 for a nice one. This is a great STARTER camera, that will give you some peace of mind while driving on the road, but if you drive a lot for a living (ridesharing, delivery, trucking, etc.

), then you should spend some money on a legit dash cam instead.

Update. Based on my review of this item, Aukey reached out to me (Newegg style) to resolve my issues with this camera to my complete satisfaction. They actually went over, and beyond resolving any issues with this camera.

Also it turns out that I was wrong about this camera not having motion detection, for this function to to work, it requires a hardwire kit with constant power. Based on my impressive experience with Aukey’s customer support, I will increase my rating to 4 stars.

Aukey’s customers support is really good, and top notch, better than anything I’ve ever experienced. Thank you Aukey, I will do business with you again in the future. I received this dash cam a few days ago to replace the last one I had.

For $40 I really won’t complain, you can still make out the cars in the videos, but it’s not quite as clear as the previous cam (viofo A118C) which only lasted about a year. I chose this cam mostly for the price, I refuse to pay over $60 for one of these cameras, unless they come with something like a 5 year warranty, replacing these every year can get expensive.

The other reason I chose this camera was the reviews, most reviews were positive. The video quality isn’t terrible. You can see license plate numbers if your sitting at a light, but while in motion, forget it.

The camera itself is quite small, even though there are pics they really don’t do justice to the actual size in your hand. While I was pleased to see that it came with two mounting options, I was however disappointed with how small the ball was.

I have a mirror stem mount already installed, I can’t use it with this camera, as the mounting bracket, and ball is too small. Overall this camera is decent, you can still positively see, and identify other vehicles in front of you.

I would have liked to see the angle to be a bit wider, but its still very usable. I’d rate this camera as entry level. It does have features found in most cameras in this price range, no GPS, or motion detection.

this is a $40 dash cam after all. For a cheap camera, it looks like it will get the job done in proving whatever may happen on the road. I just hope I can get at least a year out of it. Until dash cameras last longer, I will be sticking with these cheap ones, can’t really go wrong with this cam, just wish the resolution was a bit sharper.

Worked out of the box, which with my experience of dash cams is something that makes a change. It compact and easy to setup. Decent wide angle view. Where it falls down is the picture quality. Bought this to replace a dashcam that bit the dust.

However my last dashcam had a way better picture. This dashcam, you would have problems seeing a Reg plate unless you are on top of it and the vehicle is stationary. As stated its not a bad camera and it does work very reliably, but if a really detailed picture is important to you then you might want to look at others.

I am going to replace this one and use it for travel in rental cars as it is nice and compact.

I purchased this dashcam after my Transcend 550 started playing up. I had recently come across Blackvue after someone shared their dashcam footage from their DR900. This model was unfortunately out of my budget so I settled for the DR750 1 channel.

I needed inbuilt WiFi & GPS without needing to purchase additional accessories and the DR750 met these requirements. The installation was very easy and straightforward. The only part of the installation which I struggled with was getting the sticky patch on the windscreen perfectly centred & placing the dashcam in the perfect centre too.

This is however more of a user weakness than a product weakness. The camera is able to rotate up & down but unable to twist side to side. The viewing angle is more than enough to capture beyond the sides of both my front headlights.

As this model has 60fps I was keen to play back footage which I also found relatively easy compared to previous dashcams I’ve owned. The Blackvue app is user friendly with minimal lag. Downloading the video file to my internal phone memory took around 30 seconds which was very impressive.

The recorded footage (both day & night) is of very high quality and the 60fps make a remarkable difference compared to video captured in 30fps. It was as if I was streaming a movie. I’ve owned this dashcam for a week and so far I am very pleased and would definitely recommend this model to anybody who is after a compact dashcam, user friendly app, easy installation, high quality recording & confidence knowing that any video you may require is easily available to download with minimal effort.

I currently use three BlackVue dashcams (I purchased two of the three from The DashCam Store). I’ve used other brands before, but the BlackVue products have been by far the most reliable. I have a 2-channel version installed in my car and two 1-channel units installed (front and rear-facing) in my wife’s SUV (she already had a front installed the unit, and we added another camera for the rearview option).

Installation wasn’t too difficult, it just takes time to install the units properly. The DashCam Store was very competitively priced, and ordering was as easy as 1-2-3. Moreover, they were very diligent in following-up after delivery.

Hopefully, I won’t need a dashcam for a while, but if I do, I know where to get my next dashcam.

Size is perfect for discreet installation. Built in GPS is pretty accurate. Camera quality and view angle is excellent. Since there is no screen, connect using your phone using the app and built in wifi.

Plenty of settings that can be changed to suit your needs. A bit pricey but worth it. Would spend extra $$ for the dual channel version.

I didn’t want a dashcam with a built in screen and this seemed a good option especially against the more expensive alternatives. I’ve had it hardwired into my car and have to say that it’s very simple and easy to use – a case of fit and forget until you need it.

Unfortunately, it was the fitting that let everything down. My car is less than a year old and so I decided to use my dealer to fit as they know the car, airbag layout and so on and I felt I’d have the extra peace of mind knowing my warranty would be safer.

Although the fitting is neat and tidy, the instructions and fitting kit (not available from Halfords so purchased directly from RoadAngel) were poor and completely insufficient. RoadAngel state their hardwire kit allows fitting by anyone into any vehicle.

None of the adapters fit my car which is a popular Kia Sportage. I had to source adapters from a 3rd party. Next the fuses for the camera are supposed to be 2Amp. You cannot get 2A in my car’s fuse sizes and it took 20 minutes online with Roadangel for them to finally say that a 5A would be OK.

While talking with RoadAngel they also stressed that the kit and fitting should be completed by a professional installer, not as they say on their website, by anyone! If you are looking for a quality easy to use front and rear dashcam with no built in screen I can’t fault this so far.

However, if you want to use it hardwired to take advantage of the parking sensor mode, I’d suggest consulting with a fitting service before purchasing. This camera set cost me aprox £200 to purchase, but after fitting kit, extra wiring, fuses and installation labour the final cost was closer to £500!.

Had to return. Camera design upgraded to have a single USB C connector on rear of camera and a great big lump of join in cable for rear camera that is almost impossible to hide behind trim. Bodge videos of hard wiring this now show hard wiring a female 12v socket then taping the provided power supply into it.

The suggested hard wire kit will not power the rear camera!! I have a power source in my rear view mirror that I thought would be perfect for this but i can’t power the rear camera as no way of connecting it unless you use provided 12v power cable Design upgrade not thought through!!!.
