I have been using Zincon shampoo for about 15 years now. Before I tried it, I always had flakes in my hair, in my eyebrows, and alongside my nose. Quite naturally, even when I was dressed to the ”nines”, I always a little inferior to the people around me.

Thankfully that all changed when I started using ZINCON. With proper use, you never have to feel ”under-dressed” again. The flakes have stopped and the itching has gone away.

My husband has used this for YEARS! He refuses to use anything else because Zincon has been perfect for him. I’m thankful we are able to find it at the online drugstore, because it’s unavailable at any local stores.

I have used this shampoo for years. It is a very good product for dry flaky scalp. The online drugstore has the best prices of this product. They have the best service and fast shipping. Highly recommend the product and the store.

I’ve always been one to suffer from dandruff, and I was excited to try this particular product from Brickell to see if it stacked up. Short answer was, no, in the immediate. I used it consistently for a week.

Showering once a day during this winter with little to no substantial results. However, through the second week, I started to see some results. In short, if you don’t need your dandruff curbed immediately and naturally, this is what you want.

If you need your scalp squeaky clean for a date on short notice though, you may want to look elsewhere.

So I was using a certain shampoo brand for about a year, and over that time I began to have some issues. I started having really bad issues with dandruff, greasy hair and a scalp that ALWAYS hurt. I didn’t know what I was doing wrong until I looked up that brand and realized many other people had these issues with it and I had basically been destroying my hair for a year.

🙁 After I realized that was the problem, I decided to try this shampoo in the hopes it would repair the damage, and I couldn’t be more satisfied! It has a really nice smell and texture, it feels cool and soothing to the touch, my dandruff has almost completely gone away and my scalp NEVER hurts anymore.

I’m really glad I found this option and I would totally recommend it to anyone else having issues.

I LOVE this shampoo! It stops the dandruff and no more itchy scalp. Now that the cold weather has set in that usually means itchy scalp for me. But since using this shampoo, that has not been a problem.

I have somewhat oily hair and usually need to shampoo daily. But I’ve noticed since using this shampoo I can go 2 days between washings. And for someone who’s had to wash their hair daily, this is a big deal.

I also have fine, thinning hair. After using this shampoo a few months ago, my hair has gotten fuller and softer. And my thin spot on the back of my head is barely there now. Yes, I’m getting a free bottle of shampoo for this review.

But, I am also a person that will NOT give a false review just for a free product. I depend on other’s reviews when I buy something. I have given bad reviews when needed and passed up a free product from other companies.

All I can say is that this product works GREAT for me and I will continue to buy it. I’m so happy I found it.

I love Selsun for my sensitive scalp (for seborrheic dermatitis, not dandruff) and usually use the regular or medicated formulas with pyrithione zinc or selenium sulfide but I’m not the biggest fan of the pale blue or vibrant green (in the medicated) colors.

I bought this one without reading the active ingredient is salicylic acid. This formula is much more sudsy than the other formulas and my scalp fares OK on it (if my scalp is about 95% good on the other formulas, this one makes it about 80%), but I find it extremely drying on my body.

After showering, the skin on my back feels extremely tight and I’d have to moisturize there, whereas that’s not a concern with the other formulas (or most other shampoos, I’d say). However, maybe that’s exactly what you want if you’re suffering from bacne! My hair also seems the tiniest bit drier, but that could just be the current arid weather.

This formula might be ok for other folk, depending on your need, but I’m going back to one of the other active ingredients.

LOVE First, well, yea, my scalp can get kind of dry and if I ignored it, someone might say I had dandruff 😉 This is the only shampoo I’ve found that actually works AND doesn’t smell like the Heisenberg high school rolling chemistry lab! But, there’s a “holy grail” product bonus, I also use it on my face.

Don’t lather, just leave it as gel to sit for 3-5 minutes, my skin is as exfoliated and glowing as it would be if I hadn’t skipped a day or two of my full beauty routine. Please be careful though, my skin may be less sensitive than yours so please take my recommendation as a “this works really well for me, you should consider and decide for yourself if it’s right for you try” instead of “everyone is doing it and I promise nothing bad will ever happen if you do it too”.

I can’t stand the smell of other selsun blue products so I decided to give this a try and after only two uses I’m already regretting it! It has not helped with itching at all, and it is so incredibly drying on my hair.

After washing I have massive knots in my hair even with using plenty of good conditioner. If you have long hair I definately would not recommend this. Unless you enjoy spending extra hours picking knots out of your hair!.

Do not be deceive by the fragrant always always check the ingredients. The scent smells so good however the ingredients will make you sick. I would like to improve this conditioner by using ONLY NATURAL ingredients not synthetic, unnatural formulas/ingredients.

My mother in law warned me not to use it because it might cause or trigger cancer. I hope at least Marola and quinoa seed oils are real. Also I don’t think this conditioner deserve a 1 star but I can’t review this without scoring.

I originally bought this because my 8 year old was resisting bathing (lots of side drama) and he discovered he loved the smell of roses. I love this shampoo. It really does the job taking care of my #itchy dry scalp. Bonus it works fast. Your head feels great after using it. Con it’s extremely expensive. The bottle is small. You go through a bottle in no time at all.

This works so well. It does the job. I use this every once in a while. It lathers my hair really well. And I love the smell of this. I don’t think it needs improvement. It removes all of the dandruff.

This stuff works after one use. After second use, no more itchy scalp. Downside is the this shampoo is very drying and will literally will leave my hair “ squeaky clean”. Meaning too much moisture is stripped from my hair.

I received this shampoo complimentary of influenster. This shampoo has a thick consistency and gives a luxurious lather. I love the way this smells, so fresh and spa like. When I received this product, I was actually dealing with a very dry and flaky scalp, very annoying.

Since I’ve used this product along with the conditioner, I’ve noticed my scalp has been much more moisturized. It’s definitely helped with the dry scalp in that sense, but it hasn’t quite taken away the dandruff.

Last night I tried the Oribe Serene Anti-dandruff shampoo and Balancing conditioner. I recived these products complimentary in exchange for my honest review. Most of my life I have had a dandruff problem so I have mainly only used Head and Shoulders as my shampoo.

It seems that other shampoo brands don’t make a dandruff category. I was surprised to find out this nice non-drug store brand came out with one so I was very happy to be able to review it. The shampoo and conditioner had a light floral fragrance which was very nice because most dandruff shampoo I have tried in the past do not have a nice smell.

Most have a gender neutral smell. The lather was nice and it all washed my hair very cleanly and the conditioner softened my hair up. I guess for me when it comes to shampoos and conditioners it is not about how it smells, feels, or anything else.

At the end of the day if it keeps my dandruff away it is a good shampoo to me and this product did what it advertised and smelled good while doing it so that is a bonus for me. I would recommend this shampoos if you have dandruff issue!! Only thing I would say bad about it is that the shampoo packaging is too stiff.

The plastic was hard to squeeze to get the product out easily.

I wanted to hate this. It’s so expensive, and usually I would take a star off for the price but this shampoo has changed my life. For the first time I’ve started taking bird baths (washing body and not hair)!! My hair is thick, but fine in texture.

My scalp is oily and flaky/scabby at the same time. I’ve self diagnosed myself with seborrheic dermatitis as I have every symptom. The only shampoo that works for my scalp is extra strength coal tar t-gel.

My hunt began for a shampoo with AHAs and BHAs. My hunt led me to this. I purchased the small bottle. It smells nice (doesn’t linger and isn’t strong), it is concentrated (helps to swallow the price factor as you don’t need lots to get a good lather) and most importantly, my hair and scalp are loving this.

My hair is shinier, softer and more manageable with less tangles, and most importantly, my hair can go until day 4 without showing grease. I didn’t think this was possible. It stays looking so clean for so long.

My scalp isn’t as itchy or flakey but that will take a while to completely rid that issue. I bought the liter on Oribe’s cyber monday deal (Canadian), so I got 20% off. Even with the deal it is expensive.

Sephora excludes oribe from most sales btw. But it’s so worth the results for me as I have tried more shampoos than I would ever care to admit and with washing my hair every 4 days instead of everyday, I can justify it.

Quality hair care should be accessible for everyone although I know my voice isn’t going to cause a price drop so I figured I’d focus this review on why I plan to continue to buy this shampoo.

I’ve used maple holistic for a few years now. Before that I used store bought things that promised results but never delivered. My hair is pretty, but it used to tangle easily and I had fairly awful dandruff.

The maple holistic Sage took care of the dandruff and leaves my hair thicker than normal. I use their silk conditioner too and that’s eliminated my tangles. There’s no good way to describe how bad my tangles were.

I woke up every morning with the white girl equivalent of an Afro and had to spend two hours minimum getting the knots free. I tried pulling my hair back into a ponytail, tried braiding it different ways and even tried sleeping in a bun.

And then there was the never ending detangler products I was always buying. Now I just wash and condition my hair, apply a drop of Biosilk for shine and I’m ready to go. It’s amazing! My husband also has horrible dandruff! I blend the sage shampoo with a bit of the degreaser shampoo for him to use.

We don’t have to attack him with a louse comb and a lint brush every morning! I’m so glad we found this awesome product line! <3.

First and foremost, I think it’s important to note that this product may have been made for people of color primarily in mind. For me, it’s the name, the ingredients, and even the fragrance that brings that to mind.

Customarily, I use Head & Shoulder’s 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner product on my curly and coily hair for ease as well as to treat my dandruff problem. The Royal Oil shampoo has a similar texture as the aforementioned product, but with a smell that is light, yet musky.

It’s very refreshing! On rinsing it off, I find my head feels smooth, not waxy as some other shampoos leave your hair feeling. The conditioner feels like lotion when applied and doesn’t appear to spread well.

After leaving it in your hair for a while, however, I was surprised to notice how the product seemed to foam on my head making it much easier to rinse off. This too, of course, has the same refreshingly musky fragrance as its companion.

I would definitely recommend giving this product as being fit for the king/queen in your life!.

I will say for starters that I use a head and shoulders because I do have dry scalp issues and it’s the only thing that has consistently worked for me. I really appreciate this new head and shoulders because aside from it smelling nice which is in the grand scheme of things not that important, it’s two and one so I only have to use it as shampoo and conditioner.

I was a little hesitant because I figured if products are 2 in 1 then one is obviously gonna work better than the other. However with this product it does cleanse your scalp and it does moisturize which is what a conditioner would do and so I’m really surprised and pleased.

I also like that it has essential oils in there which helps keep the scalp moisturized so it’s really just kind of elevated it’s original product from being just something that helps eliminate dandruff to something that helps eliminate dandruff, moisturizes, and also keeps your scalp moisturize in the long run.

For a POC who doesn’t wash hair every day this is a huge huge benefit. This will definitely be replacing my original head and shoulders I am very happy with it and I can’t wait to get more of this product.

I only write reviews when I’m attempting to steer consumers away from a terrible product OR when I’m completely enamored by a product. This review is of the latter. I have very very thin (imagine the diameter of a quarter when put in a ponytail), fine wavy hair that when curled with a curling iron straightens out within an hour.

My sister, is the opposite. She has MASSIVE, very very thick, very curly hair and tons of it (naturally I’m jealous). We both suffer from terrible dandruff. She was able to get it under control with this product.

I was hesitant to try it b/c I thought it would be too much for my hair, but boy was I wrong! Within the first use it transformed my hair and scalp- silky, shiny, soft and FLAKE-FREE. This was surprisingly great. I can feel it slightly, but it’s not stingy. I definitely wouldn’t be getting it near my eyes as another review mentions (?) but on my scalp it’s been fine. My dandruff has flared with the sudden cold snap, and stress has led to me scratching at it (despite no itching).

I currently use the SachaJuan Scalp Shampoo, and I usually use the Shu Uemara Radiance Shampoo to remove product first. While I still love these products, I felt that they weren’t quite tackling the issue as quickly as I needed.

I used this daily at first and then dropped back to every few days, then 1-2 times a week. It’s really soothed my scalp and it hasn’t affected the condition of my hair (if anything it’s more voluminous and less oily too).

It’s a world apart from the whipped charcoal scrub that Briogeo also has, in my opinion. You don’t need much of this (the bottle does seem small but I’ve hardly used much at all), it lathers beautifully, and is more effective.

This is a product I will be happy to repurchase. For others reading, I have super fine long hair and not a lot of it. It’s prone to flyaways and frizz, tangles easily, and tends to flatten on my scalp.

As well as being oily, my scalp is also dry (eczema/psoriasis flares).

So far I’ve only used it once but am really impressed. My nasty swamp scalp hasn’t felt this clean in years. My flat hair has volume and the lengths are lightly moisturized. moisturized. I used the scalp revival exfoliator in the jar years ago but didn’t care for it.

I like the no added fragrances or silicones because I have low porosity strands and extremely sensitive skin. My face did not react when it got all over me washing it off which is rare. If I feel it becomes less effective, I will just follow it up with a coal tar shampoo (yeah I know, the dreaded coal tar) for more sticking power on the dermal cells.

Coal tar works best when the stuff that has already flaked off is removed. You have to let this shampoo marinate on your head a few minutes under a shower cap or else it doesn’t really get in there. It smells like tea tree oil (not overpowering) right out of the bottle but I didn’t notice the smell sticking around on my hair.

This is a nice product overall. I struggle with getting dry and itchy clumps of dandruff on my scalp which I compulsively pick at. This definitely soothes that, even if my scalp is a little raw from picking.

It’s also very cleansing but not drying. I focus this on my scalp and my hair feels light and bouncy all around. I also find that my hair doesn’t get as greasy when I use this. I can usually go an extra day without washing if I wanted to.

My only issue with this is I bought it under the impression that it’s color safe. It’s really hard to find color safe dandruff shampoos, so I justified the high price because of that. However, I started noticing my color was looking a little patchy near the root where I focus this product.

I noticed the patching only after about 2 or 3 uses. For that reason, I will be returning because I’ve spent a lot of money on my color and I don’t want to ruin it! But if being color safe isn’t a priority for you and you’re willing to splurge, this is an awesome product.

Have some seriously dry scalp. Bought a few different things to try. Have used this 3 times. Since the first wash I have noticed a serious decrease in dandruff. Very slight tingle when washing, reminds me of Nioxin.

I still have dandruff but it is way less noticeable. I’m hoping with continued use it continues to minimize and eventually go away. I generally do not have dandruff but with winter its been so dry and cold it has really dried out my scalp.

Winter absolutely brings the flakes for me— and not to mention the extremely dry, itchy scalp. I also live in Colorado, so the air is always super dry. This shampoo completely removes any sign of flakes/dandruff.

It smells minty, rather than that yucky usual dandruff shampoo tar smell. It lathers nicely, but not too much. Scalp feels clean and refreshed after using. I have noticed that I seem to have more hair fallout when I use it than my regular shampoo, but I have really thick hair so it’s not noticeable on my actual head.

I would recommend a deep conditioner or mask when you use this because it’s a bit drying to actual hair. Also, avoid your eyes because you will scream if you get it in your eyes when washing. or at least I did.

I’ve been suffering from stubborn dandruff for years now. I’ve always heard about sulfur 8 but never thought to try it bc I assumed it didn’t work just like the other 17,000 dandruff and psoriasis products that I’ve used in the past.

I decided to give the medicated grease a try first about a month ago when I installed box braids and immediately the itching and dandruff subsided the whole entire time I had my braids. The dandruff decreased to a minimum and I decided to give the shampoo a try since the medicated grease worked so well.

I have not scratched my scalp nor seen dandruff these past 2 weeks when normally after a wash day it develops back not even a day later. Can’t believe I overlooked this stuff and it’s been under my nose this whole entire time.

As inexpensive as these products are it finally cured my scalp issues.

OH my GOD. Finally something that helped with my flaky, itchy scalp. I tried everything from different dandruff shampoos, to moisturizing regimens all to no avail. Till I used this stuff! I was having issues with flaking right out of the shower no matter what I did.

Now I’ve been using for a week and start flaking on the third day, rather than right out of the shower. The flakes are also a lot smaller now.

I have not actually used it yet, but after reading these comments, I definitely am. First, anything is worth trying ONCE. If yiu dont like it, dont use it. Secondly, if it makes your psoriasis worse, chances are you dont actually have psoriasis.

You probably have seborrheic eczema like me, and it affects different people in different ways. No one person is created equally. Third, for less than $4 a pop and you only have to use it once a week, its not a waste of money and totally worth trying.

a year ago I suffer from itchy, flakey scalp that gets sores and scabs if it’s PH balance gets out of wack. I have found many shampoos that solve the problem for a few years but then it’s time to go on the hunt again.

During the Covid lockdown my last Aveda shampoo stopped being effective and I was unable to visit my stylist or dermatologist and seek advice. I took a chance on this shampoo and conditioner and since my situation had gotten very bad I purchased the scalp balancing oil treatment also.

I am exceedingly happy with the products! Read the instructions! Follow the instructions! First I started with the scalp oil. I don’t know if this necessarily for everyone but I found it gave instant relief and I was in a really bad spot with my scalp so I was glad to give it a go.

I love the lemongrass scent! I let that soak in for about an hour before jumping in the shower to shampoo. It says to shampoo rinse, repeat and then wait 1-2 minutes before washing out. The first time there was no lather, after rinsing and repeating the shampoo process a glorious lather worked up.

Neither time did I use a lot of shampoo, just a dime sized amount for my long hair. It has a mild willow bark or witch hazel type smell but that doesn’t offend me or last long. My scalp felt a great bit of relief during the washing process.

It is not my usual technique but I gave it a go. It was such a comforting intense sensation on my wrecked scalp, and it had a pleasant earthy Rosemary smell that reminds me of Aveda products. After the whole process my scalp is really improving.

It’s not itchy or irritated (which is sadly the effect of many other products I had hoped would help in the past). It feels very clean and not overly oily, despite the deeper conditioning of my scalp.

I can’t boast great volume, however my hair has a vibrant glossy shine. The smell after blow drying is subtle and pleasant but very understated. If you suffer from scalp issues and find you like natural fragrance and products definitely give this a try.

I tend to only get dandruff once the weather gets cooler, usually around November-December. So, receiving this shampoo from Influenster could not have happened at a better time! Since my dandruff tends to be temporary but a bit on the heavy side, I always got Head Shoulders because I figured using it once a week for a few months wouldn’t be too hard on my hair.

HS definitely eliminated the dandruff but left my hair feeling dry so I avoided using heat on my hair. It also washed the color out of my hair! I tried this shampoo right after receiving it and my hair is completely dry now and I can say there are ZERO flakes, my scalp feels refreshed and moisturized, I don’t itch, and my hair smells and feels amazing.

Even my ends feel smooth. There is a slight tingle to this shampoo and a cooling sensation from the mint and I love it, it feels so good on a dry itchy scalp! And the fact it’s not hard on my hair and washing out my color makes it a WIN! I will repurchase at the supply house and recommend this to all my friends and clients who struggle with dandruff or dry/itchy scalps!.

I received this product complimentary from Influenster to test out. A little background on my scalp- I don’t have dandruff, but I do currently have a very itchy scalp. After recovering from Covid (Delta Variant), I had horrible long term hair loss from it.

It has been nearly 3 months of massive hair loss, and I am finally seeing new growth. Thus, constant itchy scalp. So when I received this product to try, I was hopeful that this could help the itchiness subside.

I’ve used it 2 times this week, and found that I do have less itchiness on my scalp. This product has mint and menthol, which you can smell, but it smells fresh. Thus, it gives a cooling sensation on your scalp when you wash and condition.

I have extremely sensitive skin, so I did find that the cooling also affected my shoulders and back quite a bit. No issues from it, but just caught me off guard. I would use this product again as needed.

Perhaps not weekly, as I know dandruff shampoos and conditioners can sometimes dry out naturally curly hair. But I would definitely say it did what I had hoped it would.

I love this shampoo and conditioner. At first when I bought it I thought it was ridiculously expensive for the size, but after using it I don’t mind paying for it. The bottle lasted me about 3 months and I have long thick hair.

Nothing else has ever worked for my dandruff and if it has, it stopped working after a while of using the product. This product kept working and my dandruff was HORRIBLE. It would look like it snowed in my head very noticeable.

This got rid of it 100%. The only bad things are I think it might have been causing me some hair loss, and it takes forever to rinse out. I don’t know if it’s just me but I have to take a long time rinsing everything out or else my hair seems like it sticks together and has a film over it or something.

For that I give it 4 stars.

During my pregnancy and after I gave birth to my child who is now 3 years old I had really bad dandruff. It was soooo noticible and itchy. So embarrasing! 1st I tried the green tea shampoo which did help, but I am one of the ones that don’t like to stick with just a certain type or brand.

I tried many other shampoos that didn’t help. Only made it worse to the point that dandruff even got to the hairline on my forehead. Even much more embarrasing. I started using tea tree oil and it didn’t seem to work so I thought there was no reason to go back to using tea tree shampoo again.

I wanted to give this one a try after reading the reviews. I am amazed and have recommended it a million times. It worked since the 1st wash. It’s like a miracle. I recommend it 100000000%.
