Exactly what to expect from Teraflex. Diff cover was heavy duty and installed easily. Looks great too!

Having just recently installed this Differential Cover I can only comment on it’s apparent quality. The installation went as expected, no leaks using only a silicon gasket maker compound, an indication that the mating surface is true and smooth.

No apparent clearance issues at this point. Overall it looks well constructed, and a good value for the money. I cannot comment on its impact resistance, but feel there should be no problems.

Very sturdy and adds a nice clean look to any differential housing. Only negative is that it slightly hangs over the housing on the axle. This Causes a very small lip, so if you’re constantly crawling over rocks it could get caught.

I definitely would recommend this to my friends.

Great price. Impressed with the quality and heavy-duty. Loving the red pop. Increased gear oil capacity. Love the fact that aluminum dissipates heat better. A def weight advantage too. Great choice for anyone other than wicked-radical off-roaders, who may want cast-iron.

A nice easy upgrade that includes a little dipstick so you can actually check your differential fluid levels. It was easy enough to install I did it myself and I am a 63 year old JEEP GIRL! I will be replacing the rear differential cover next time it needs a fluid change.

Great looking product and servicable too. Now we can actually drain the old gear oil completely without pulling the whole cover. The handy little dipstick makes checking the level easy too.

I had to replace the inner axle seals on my Dana 30 front differential so I figured I may as well dress up the front diff cover while I was at it. This poison spider death cover is just what I was looking for, looks really cool, feels Super heavy duty and came with everything I needed to get it installed quickly and easily.

I opted for a paper gasket instead of the included gasket maker but the next time I remove the cover I will probably use the gasket maker instead of a paper one, seems like that may have been a better option.

Install time would have been under an hour if that was all I did but I had the front differential torn apart for the better part of the day. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Packing Exterior box was open on delivery, no banding around the box. All parts were securely plastic wrapped into a single package so all parts were intact. Product quality is a 9. 5 out of 10. All parts were in new condition, no scratches or blemishes on powder coat.

Rating is less than 10 due to threads on nuts and nutplates. Before starting installation I did a full inspection on parts and quality. During the inspection I noticed that the bolts did not easily thread into the nuts.

I used a 10mm 1. 5 tap and cleaned the threads on every nut. Instructions are also 9. 5 out of 10. Instructions are printed on very heavy paper which is great while you are doing the install. The print is clear and all parts are identified.

The instruction process is perfect and if each step is followed as indicated in the instructions, installation is easy. I did find 1 issue with the instructions. It calls for a 18mm socket to be used.

The 18mm did not work on the bolts I received but a 3/4″ socket was perfect. I also used locktite on every nut and bolt for added security. I highly recommend this product. The design is good, installation instructions are almost perfect.

And quality is great.

Fits great, looks great. Nice thing about the Poison Spider Dif cover is that it was pretty easy to paint the spider. Installation was simple and took maybe an hour and half. I took my time cleaning the old seal off and cleaning out the gears with brake cleaner and drying.

I followed the manufacturer’s torque spec of 30.

Mount is as advertised so no issue there. Like the other reviewer, I would like to see a way to lock the jack on the vehicle as the current design allows for easy theft (although it does require tools).

An easier securing method like a wing nut (for when you need to use the jack) with a place for a lock would be an easy mod for the manufacturer that would be helpful. Also, I live in a place where things like this get stolen and I took the jack off the Jeep and stored it but lost the hardware to put it back on.

I contacted the manufacturer to buy replacement hardware and was told there was none available. Totally my fault for losing the hardware but it would have been nice if I could buy the original spec parts as a replacement.

If you take your jack off when you aren’t using it, make sure you put the parts in a safe place.

This G2 differential cover is very nice for the money, it comes raw aluminum. The cover will not last one winter here in N. H. I like the color, and prior to this purchase, I sprayed my new dual stabilizers in silver flake.

So to protect them and to match my new steering parts I went ahead and clear coated this G2 cover. First I was going to paint the cover, then decided with some clear they would match. And yeah nice, good choice.

I have 2001 F-250 with 8 inches up front and this cover barely fits(high capacity). I had to extend my steering horn, on the drivers side, to keep my tie rod from contacting the new cover, to the right it fits fine.

easy fix, only used a nut and emission tubing over the horn w/ a hose clamp.

Overall this is a good kit. If I had to do it over again I would get the heavy suspension as another reviewer suggested, since it seems like even with two passengers the rear sags a bit. I have bottomed out the rear axle with this installed, and the rear track bar relocation bracket dented the floor pan and nearly severed my fuel pump wiring harness, which is kind of disappointing but I think a trade off due to using the relocation bracket instead of buying a new track bar.

These were easy to install and were a good fit for my Dana 44s. They seem well made. I have had them off road a few times, but haven’t had an impact yet. Time will tell. I put them on “hand snug” and let the gasket dry overnight before torquing them down.

This brush guard is pretty cool! I just got done installing it on my rig. all you need to install this is a 5/8 inch socket and ratchet, an 11/16 inch wrench, a cordless drill with a good 7/16 inch metal bit and some extra washers for shimming.

It took me about 2 and 1/2 hours to install and I’m no expert by any means. The first guy who wrote a review did a really good job of explaining the easiest way to do it so I’m not going to go into that but it’s not a hard project at all.

The hardware that comes with it is really good quality so no complaints there whatsoever. if you’re going to buy it, make sure you get a bunch of extra washers to because you’re going to need them to shim up between the bolts and the bumper.

It’s very solid and I’m definitely happy with it for the price.

Product is the best. They come raw metal so you will have to paint them so they don’t rust. Very easy to install. Painted one day and let it dry then installed the next. Only took a couple of hour. Mainly trying to get the old stuff off.

I like the dual Fill/drain plugs. Makes changing the gear oil a lot less messy. The magnetic drain plug is a nice touch should any excess wear occur. I’d have to say these as about close to bullet proof as it gets.

Pretty straight forward installation. I used Permatex RTV gasket maker and cleaned the gears with brake cleaner. Don’t tighten the bolts too tight. I did 10-15 min set up, then finger snug for an hour, then 10 FT LB for an hour and then 25 ft lbs final torque.

working fine. I did 1. 5 qts front and 2. 5 qts rear using75-90 Royal Purple gear oil. Mark the dipstick with a small file after putting the oil in as you know the amounts are correct. Also let the vehicle sit for at least 24 hours if you use gasket maker so it cures BEFORE adding the oil.

Basic tools needed anybody can do. Open drain plug empty out. Undue bolts. Will be stuck on there lightly hammer loose make sure to losely keep top bolts on so does not fall off. take razor blade and clean up funk and clean with break cleaner as well as new diff cover.

I like to use lube locker when reinstalling works great and cleaner. Put on new diff cover tighten to specs and your all done.

This thing is chunky, in a great way. The packaging was minimal, but protective. The instructions are easy to follow for the ARB specifics of an easy install. Mine took an afternoon (done with the D44 in the rear), but that’s because I set up my RTV ahead on the cover and wait until it’s just gone from coming away to super tacky.

The drain plug’s magnet is obviously as strong as the videos show. The bolts are all well machined, but they did cause an issue. The 6mm hex bolts, both long and short, rounded out two of my hex sockets.

The 6mm felt “loose” in the top of the bolt. The 8mm for the fill and drain plugs did not feel the same. I had to guess at torque for both axles and use a T hand hex.

Looks great and works great too. Easy install on our 2016 JK Rubicon Hard Rock with 3” Metal Cloak lift and Dana 44 axles. Peeled back the stock dif covers on 3 occasions causing oil leaks and had to repair.

So decided to get these for the front and back and hopefully not have to worry about it again. Vulnerable spot on rocks as it is the lowest spot. Took it out last weekend and did scrape the front one.

Just installed the 9002-8837 in my wifes 2013 Unlimited. It is very cool to have this OEM style system!The instructions keep me from giving this 5 stars the system isnt exactly like any video currently on youtube.

(There is a lot of good tips out there- just watch out for the chassis harness!) 1. The harness is different (it is actually easier to install). The photo on the first page of the instruction shows a black connector on the 2 supplied harnesses.

This connector is not on these harnesses- and it isnt needed, but it is confusing because it does not look like what was supplied in the box. 2. You have to remove the radio! It doesnt say this anywhere.

I suggest right after Step 26- then jump to Step 31 / 32 / 33. Then go to step 27. 3. Step 28 and 29 are confusing! Here is what it should read:Step 28: Run red and green wires from chassis harness to ignition-controlled power point on HVAC panel.

Step 29: Splice together BOTH red and green wires to blue/red wire on back of power point. (We dont need to know one of these is 12v and the other is the trigger wire if they go to the same place!)Thanks!.

Very well made, this is one heavy chunk of iron! I used the LubeLocker seal and torqued the bolts per instructions to 18 ft/lb. No leaks at all. Matches up the rear AEV branding of my bumper, flaps and tire carrier.

They do make a quality (though pricey) product. My only gripe is not having some form of dipstick or anything similar to the ARB diff cover. The AEV description mentions the factory magnetic drain plug, but you obviously are not able to pull the plug, inspect and not lose oil.

Minor gripe though and I feel comfortable with the protection this allows.

This is my first time using a Lube locker gasket on a rear diff cover, I did 1 on a 10 1/4 ford diff, filled it up with gear oil, no leaks. I bought a 2nd one and did my other pick up the following week, no leaks.

This eliminates the waiting time for refilling if you were to use the form a gasket.

I have worked on cars for 45 years. Gaskets have come a long way since my early years and for good reason. No mechanic wants a leak after working very hard to clean and prepare a surface for a new gasket.

Silicone materials make clean-up the next time very difficult. I like lube locker gasket because there is no clean-up next. The gasket material is thin yet durable and torque readings are precise with clean bolts.

I don’t think of using other gasket materials- my time is too valuable to waste with cheap paper gasket or messy silicone. Try one gasket and you won’t accept any other material.

I installed this on my ’07 Jeep JKU. The product is super easy to install, fits exactly and no messy RTV to deal with! Best part is that you don’t have to wait for the next day to fill your axles!. Just install and torque to their pattern diagram provided and fill up your diffs!.

It literally took longer to squeeze the royal purple in than it took to torque down the covers?. No leaks, no mess and my aftermarket diff covers look great without all that RTV oozing out the sides.

I’ve heard some people say they prefer RTV if things go sideways on the trail, however you need to pack some unopened RTV in with your tools either way and a Trail fix is not affected by this gasket anyways??.

I really like the look with the clearance lights. I’ve received a lot of compliments on the light so far. My only complaints would be that the installation instructions for the wiring harness a a bit lacking.

The online video helped a lot, but they really skipped over a few detail I would have liked to have seen like getting the wire through the fire wall, the best way to route he wiring harness under the cowling/hood.

Stuff us first time Jeep owners need to know. My only other minor complaints would be that it seem like there was almost twice the amount of wiring that I need to connect it to the batter, so I ended coiling it and storing next the battery.

Also, I bought an A pillar switch panel for the lights and the wiring harness that connects from the interior 12v/cigarette light isn’t long enough to reach the driver’s side A pillar. I had to extend/splice it on my own.

I bought this diff cover for a 98 ram 1500 4×4 with the stock Dana 44 front end. I hate stamped steel pans and covers on anything but an engine oil pan because of sealing issues and leaks from distortion.

So I use thicker & stiffer cast aluminum covers whenever possible. That being said this cover has a drain plug which is a bonus and a fill plug. THE FILL PLUG IS NOT THE FLUID LEVEL HEIGHT! You must know exactly how much fluid goes in your diff otherwise you will overfill it if you fill it until it runs out of the fill hole like the stock cover.

That is really the only drawback unless you want additional capacity which this does not provide. I was not looking for increased capacity just a drain plug and a leakproof seal which this cover does perfectly.

I used a lubelocker gasket so no need for messy RTV or prying the cover off if removed.

Best price on this type of top I’ve seen. Some issues though. 1. No holes to help you install/remove the freedom panels. You can leave it on while you do but I’m sure I will stretch out the mesh eventually.

2. Tightens a little strangely. Once you get the hang of it you can usually keep it pretty tight. Kind of feels like a one season product. Time will tell. Even if it is the price is cheap enough to use and dump.

Easy install. I removed the spare tire for easier access to differential cover. I used 5/16-18 bolts with the heads cut off to use as mounting studs. Like others have mentioned, you will not be able to achieve Ford recommended torque with the supplied bolts.

The quality of the bolts are lacking. I let the the sealant cure for 2 hours before adding differential fluid. No leaks. Took me a total of 3 hours on install without being rushed. I would recommend this differential cover to anyone looking to upgrade theirs.

I bought this diff cover when I bought new bearings and axle seals for my rear axle. Main reason being is I wasn’t able to get my fill plug out to refill my diff. Second reason was it gave me an excuse to buy more stuff for my truck because it looked BA.

Super easy instal. Bearings and seals on one side took about the same amount of time to install the cover. Was about 45 minutes. Paired it up with a actual gasket instead of the RTV crap you get with it.

Spend the extra $15 or so to get a gasket.

Great product so far. Dealer charges $200 for differential fluid change. Therefore it was actually cheaper to buy a this cover and change fluid myself! The cover looks MUCH better than stock. The convenience of being able to drain and fill without removing the cover moving forward is priceless.

The bolts are hex. I did not have hex sockets so I used an allen key. Going to buy hex sockets so I can use my torque wrench and torque properly. Excellent product and very easy to install.

Great cover has easy axcess fill drain and level holes. made of some very thick aluminum. Comes with rtv,metric and standard bolts for the older or newer 10bolt. Only thing id didnt come with was spacers and two long bolts for my brake line brackets ,but not a big deal for something that covers 40+ years of trucks!! Would deffinetly buy again.

The cover fits perfectly. Nice machining job. I love that I can now drain it without removing the cover. It looks nice on the truck and still has room for the spare tire in the stock location. I 100% recommend this differential cover.

Works great, great quality. But what I thought I was buying was a diff cover that said Dana 44 on the nameplate. because that’s what is shown. Instead it says Spicer with a little Dana emblem in the corner.

It does its job though. With that I take away 2 stars for the deception.

Easy installation on the 2013 Ford F-150 FX4 and the fit was perfect. Cover’s seating surface was machined down, and with the included gasket, there was no need for gasket sealer. Will certainly make the differential oil changes easy.

If anybody believes the OEM Differential Cover does not have a oil drain and fill bolt fabricated into it because the oil does not need to be changed in the vehicle’s lifetime, you’re wrong. the oil does need to be changed if you actually use your truck, like a truck.

Ordered this Spicer differential cover to make gear oil changes easier. Axle is a 9. 75 Ford with an Eaton Truetrac. This is the exact same cover marketed by Ford performance for $90 less and a different logo.

Heavy iron cover with durable pipe plugs and a quality gasket. Highly recommend.

It fits my 2017 JKUS perfect. Love the strength and look. Unfortunately mine arrived in the box with some minor dings and scuffs. Not a big deal since it’s going to get beat up offroad anyway. There was nothing severe enough to impact it’s integrity, so it’s just an annoyance that my “new” cover was pre-scratched! It will get beat up this Saturday anyway on the trails.

I was shopping for a lift for my 2017 JKU, everyone I asked said Teraflex. They were right. This is the perfect height for 35’s and has a good ride just a little more loose than stock ride and tires.

I had a shop install the lift and alignment. It only took them 3 hrs to install. The shop did suggest to get an adjustable front track bar, so I purchased the Teraflex Monster. I could not be more happy with this lift.

Buy with confidence.

Dana 30 had machine damage and unfinished, interior had multiple machining gouges. Dana 44 fill plug hole improperly machined to the point that the plug would travel only 2 threads deep. Return process easy to initiate, however, XT received my return and processed it over a week ago and no refund has yet been issued.

Will not purchase Poison Spyder or from XT again.

DO NOT PURCHASE!!! Bought for 2002 F250. Does NOT Fit due to U bolt / leaf springs. Contacted G2 who stated, Oh we heard about that, just need to remove some material. THIS SHOULD BE PLUG AND PLAY, SIMPLE REPLACEMENT!!!!!.

As stated this cover is for a Dana 60 axle which many vehicles use. I installed it on a 2002 Ford F250 Super Duty. I had to file the side of the cover near the bolt that uses an Allen head bolt so all the bolt holes would line up.

On my truck the front leaf spring u bolt is so close Ford had to use the Allen head bolt because you can’t get a wrench on a regular bolt. Once installed the coverlooks great.

Put on my Dodge 2500 front axel. Tie rod rubbed on cover due to thickness, track bar grease fitting hit top of cover, would not recommend for this application

Did not fit with heavy duty rear sway bar I installed. Front cover fit great & I’m happy. I wish it would work because I like the look & functionality. No worries that’s what happens with aftermarket parts but I am overall happy with your product.

I search reviews on items before I buy online. I found reviews on this guard that brace/rib blocked fill plug (2-3 yr old reviews). I figured problem was fixed. It was. They moved brace over, creating new problem.

Weld too close now to bolt hole. Had to grind weld down. Other than that, it is well made and fits stock Dana guard perfect.

I would have to take of my sway bars to make it fit 2002 Jeep cherokee 4.7 need to return

After draining the Diff oil. I found it some what easier to remove the spare tire and have more room to tork the bolts down to the specs recommended. It took three 16 oz. bottles to fill up before reaching recommended levels.

I used Lucas 75 -90 gear oil synthetic. I’ve only driven 300 miles so far and no leaks. Be careful when cleaning the old gasket of the rear end as you do not want to scratch to mounting surface. Clean everything out with brake cleaner.

(spray on) this will insure you have removed all grunge and grime. The G2 come with a built in gasket. Don’t bother buying one. Install time for you D. I. Y. 2 1/2 hours and a cold one to boot. Banks don’t make a diff.

cover for a 1/2 ton. If you tow a trailer or boat up hill. with a half ton truck. Your rear end will run a lot cooler as the diff. cover is made out of aluminum to which is preferred over stock.

Tried the install without a gasket/rtv. leaked a little. that little o-ring doesn’t quite do the trick. had to take the cover back off and use a gasket. I prefer the Felpro RDS55480 for a gm 10-bolt.

sealed up good now. looks great too. love that it comes with new hardware and holds a little extra fluid.

Super easy install. I got the urge to scrape off their supplied gasket and use my own but they have more expertise then me so I trusted them. Looks awesome and no leaks. The ability to check the level with the dipstick is convenient.

Future drain and fills will be super simple. Note to those adding this just drop the spare tire and save some time and frustration. I could have done it 45 min faster if I did that first. Super happy.
