20 Best Cuticle Oil For Nails (2023 Updated)

My nails had gotten so bad. Some were actually painful, especially my index finger. The nails were dry, cracked & peeling. I got a paper cut (from digging in my purse) on that finger. So on top of all that I now had a scab grabbing & rubbing on things.

I bought this early Friday morning. Actually applied it on my index finger in the parking lot. I’ve used this 3-4 times since and in just 24 hours my cuticles look & feel fine. The worst one is now healed.

It has a low key almond scent. I’ve started to apply it, let it sit for a little bit then I apply Jergens original lotion. I think it smells fantastic together (very strong at first though). Both are non-greasy and soak in quickly.

It looks like I’ve had a manicure. Constant hand washing is so harsh & unavoidable now, so I’m thrilled to have finally found some relief. Even my expensive lotions didn’t help my cuticles.

Unbelievable product for two reasons:(1) Healthy eponychium (often mistakenly referred to as the cuticle – the ridge of skin around your nails. ) Mine were ragged, and horribly over-grown. I didn’t want to keep cutting them because it apparently just keeps them growing more and more.

Mine were so unsightly I was embarrassed to ever have my hands show. I had a manicure in March and the technician was very kind, but dismayed at how much skin there was to trim. There was a huge pile of it! I don’t have the time or money for regular trips to the salon to have them trimmed and trimming them was exacerbating the problem (from what I later learned.

) I did a lot of research online on what to do. Several sources recommended CND Solar Oil used several times a day. I’ve been using it 7-14 times a week for three months and my hands don’t even look like mine.

The overgrown “hedges” around my nails have totally disappeared as has and peeling skin or hangnails. I had a manicure recently and there wasn’t even anything for them to trim! I hardly recognize them! For this reason alone I would give it as many stars as possible I love showing off my hands!!(2) Nail strength.

CND’s Solar Oil is a classic for a reason. It softens and moisturizes nails and cuticles so beautifully. I shaped my fingernails and toenails with a crystal nail file, then buffed them before applying Solar Oil and going to bed.

When I woke up, my cuticles and nail beds looked perfect. I’ve never seen my toenail beds look so perfect, to be honest. They looked so healthy, like foot model perfect, that it seemed like a shame to paint them at that point.

All the hard, scraggly white cuticle bits softened overnight, some disappearing entirely. I love that this is in a bottle with a brush, so you can brush it on or brush it on and rub it in. If you’re a habitual cuticle picker, get some Solar Oil, brush it on your cuticles and rub it in every time you feel the urge to pick.

I’ve been a nail-biter my entire life and had nails that would flake, bend, and split easily. I had tried using different oils to help strengthen the nails, but nothing really worked. I love Bliss Kiss products especially their cuticle oil. If you want results then this is the stuff you want to use. It transforms short, dry, brittle nails into long, hydrated, beautiful nails. I also put it on the back of my hands to stave off signs of aging and it does a wonder for skin as well.

I’ve used the pens and the bigger bottle of cuticle oil to refill the pens. I really like how they tell you how to refill the pens on their website. The crisp and vanilla scents smells so good but crisp is my favorite.

It reminds me of the smell of some dolls from when I was a kid. Another great thing about this company is it’s a small family business in Washington State not too far from where I live, so I like supporting them.

I purchased this OPI 4 piece heroes set in the hope that it would help me to get my nails back in some sort of shape, it seems the older I get the more problems I have with keeping my nails in good condition.

I could not be without either of these products. They work miracles on my dry cuticles which I used to battle to keep on top of, but these two products keep working. I use the cuticle cream twice a week and the oil at least three times a day, my nails really are that dry if I don’t.

It makes a noticeable difference. The oil sinks in very quickly and smells beautiful making it a pleasure to use which is important to me as your more inclined to use something if you enjoy it and can see results.

A small amount goes a long way so this massive size will last me at least three months. It works equally as well on the toe nails too.

Although I haven’t bought this specific item, I do use both products consistently – they are my go to and this item is in my wish list for when I run out of my current stock, as it’s brilliant value.

I’ve been using the predecessors of these 2 items for years and have only just begun to use the ProSpa Oil, as I had bottles of Avoplex to finish first – what a difference!! Avoplex was good but the ProSpa takes it to a whole new level.

Even though it’s richer than Avoplex, it sinks in faster, especially when applied to the whole nail bed on my ‘in between colour’ days. The cuticle exfoliating cream is amazing – I have really dry hands and nails and get very thick dry cuticles that crack if I don’t constantly apply nail oil and hand cream.

I apply this twice a week before getting in for a nice soak in the bath, let it do its work for about 10 minutes, then push my cuticles back and lightly scrub off with a nail brush. It’s the best one I’ve tried, as most liquid cuticle removers really dry out my nails and cuticles, but this is really nourishing.

After previously trying Orly and NailsInc, all my nail colours and treatments are now OPI and my nails have never looked better.

I have used this product for over 10 years with great success. A few years ago, the brush applicator was changed to an eye dropper. Seemed to be a ploy to force one to use more product and replenish sooner, but I could work with it.

Recent purchase of a new bottle has a different formula that is so thick, it won’t even go into the eye dropper applicator. Even worse, every time I have used this bottle, my cuticles have ended up dried out and sore.

This is the only thing I have used so it is the only possible culprit. Not sure why a good thing was ruined. Returning what’s left next time I go to Nordstrom and looking for similar product from a different brand.

Over the past year I’ve been giving myself manicures. Cuticles are the most annoying part of the process for me. I received this product a few days ago and have used it two times. I am impressed. My plan is to use it every other night and follow with the cuticle oil.

I do a lot in my life, I’m a mom, I do dishes, laundry, gardening, crafts, etc. My hands get VERY dirty, so I have to wash them probably 20+ times a day, and it makes my my nails get so weak and brittle and they’ve always been prone to chipping, breaking, etc.

I have been using this cuticle oil on and off for a few months and it has made my cuticles feel so soft. I usually brush it onto my nails cuticles in the evening. After I brush it onto my nails and cuticles I also massage the oil into that area.

I always wash it off before painting my nails. This oil does not leave my nails or cuticles overly oily. It gets absorbed into my cuticles and nail beds as I massage it over that area. After most of it is absorbed and my fingers are washed off, my nails are ready to be polished.

This product is quick and easy to apply. It only takes a little swipe on each nail to get the job done. The bottle will last for quite a while. It gives almost immediate results by softening your cuticles and smoothing your nails.

After using this product I can definitely say that my nails and cuticles look healthy and nourished. I will continue to use this product because I love the results. You don’t realize how good your nails cuticles can really look till you start using this product.

I would definitely suggest trying Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail Cuticle Oil.

I’ll start this review by saying I have weak nails. The simple act of opening a jar or a window is enough to chip them, the thumb and index nails especially prone to breakage. The wonky line on my thumbnail (see attached pic) is due to a kitchen window.

When I tried ventilating the kitchen, a crescent moon shape tore off my thumbnail like a fedora man tipping his hat “M’lady” over and over. Had to clip the split end and grow the rest out, since trimming it smooth wasn’t feasible at the time.

This is the first time in two months I’ve painted my nails. The strengthener is giving me much better luck in keeping my nails intact and kitchen ventilated, so thank you. Haven’t had a nail accident in the last week-and-a-half I’ve used this stuff.

This dries pretty fast, but not any faster than other strengtheners I’ve used. Consistency feels a tad watery and slick. My polish is lasting at least a few days longer than it did before, so this works as a decent base coat too.

Good product. Sally Hansen’s a solid brand, so no surprises there. Instructions say “2-3 coats,” but I don’t believe you need that much. One coat was enough for me.

I was looking for a cuticle oil pen; I had one years ago in a tube with a brush, much like this one (very likely from Sally Hansen). This product, however, has a Vaseline consistency rather than oil.

Similar to others, I had trouble squeezing the product from the tube. I spent some time tring to find a sharp prong in the cap or something to puncture the tube open. Very gently increase pressure toward the brush end of the tube, and the clear gel should slowly start coming out into the brush.

I was expecting a runny oil and didn’t expect to have to squeeze as hard as I did. Still try to be careful ro avoid splitting/exploding the tube, as I’ve read that some people experienced. 3 star rating, as I literally just used it once for the first time.

I’ll try to finish the tube in hopes it works, but I will be buying a similar product that has actual oil instead.

This product was a great find for me. I never liked removing my cuticles, but at the same time they bothered me a lot. Before I found this product, I used cream, which honestly helped me, but I felt the need for something specific for cuticle, that’s when I decided to test culticle rehab and what an upgrade for my nails.

I apply, massage and push the cuticle with a spatula. It’s like magic, it even looks like I removed it. I highly recommend this product.

I am obsessed with cuticle products and I carry this one in my purse. I pull it out whenever I spot a little bit of dryness and it does an amazing work in an instant. Definitely recommend. For an oil, I wish the fragrance wasn’t so strong and that it lasted a little bit longer but since this is my carry on cuticle oil, I like that it also comes in a “pen-like” packaging, makes taking care of the dryness 100% easier.

Such a cute little bottle, and the added little flowers are a bonus. The fact it smells like roses, makes it one of my favorites. As for quality goes, it seems to do the job. Probably not as great as others, but it’s still a good cuticle oil.

I only rated 4 stars simply for the fact is I’m sure quality wise, there are others. But it’s a simple cuticle oil that smells like roses. It’s wonderful. Of course I apply after pushing my cuticles, and buffing/filing/shaping my nails, and before using fake nails, or polish.

As usual purchased because was only item of its kind left in store. Recent steroid treatment destroyed my nails and left cracked and painful cuticles. Even gloves not working this time. But wow this stuff worked immediately! It will melt off your nail polish if not enamel but I removed mine and brushed on nail as well.

Very healthy looking immediately. Will get over the rodent repellent smell since this is so wonderful on my painful cuticles. Brush could be softer so less splash.

It is a cuticle oil. It works the way that cuticle oil is supposed to. Oils are pretty similar in the way that they function. It worked great! I use it as the last step in a manicure. I would definitely buy it again.

So after learning how to use an e-file on myself, my beautiful natural nails were thiiiiin and honestly really destroyed. but I persisted in messing with them because I was bored. It was a nightmare.

I had my eye on Bodyguard for a while and snatched it up during a sale. What. A. Game. Changer. I used it as a base coat a day before doing a planned polygel set, to give myself a break. I did use Orly Nail Tip Primer first.

It was nice and hard, so my fragile nails lil’ nails were beautifully protected all day and night. I didn’t worry at any point about them ripping or breaking, which is a relief. I (think I) buffed it up manually and wiped it down and applied half tips (and trimmed the tips!), then did my polygel set right on top.

It worked awesome! My nails grow really fast, thankfully, so I’m already seeing some grow out. I’m not having any lifting, it’s all strongly stuck on. I also don’t have anymore pain when my nail bed area is pushed on which is amazing! I’ve only been wearing them a week, but this is maybe the best week of my long nail adventure.

I’m work with kids, so even pre-pandemic, I washed my hands a bananas amount. Now though, I’ve had a ton of problems with pinkish lifting because of how often my nails are saturated. This is showing no signs of backing down.

I honestly feel like I’ll be able to use this as a basecoat and fill my polygels!.

I’ve used this once so far and had none of the problems anyone else mentioned. I’m using it as an overlay to support and protect my thin natural nails and to provide a base layer for polish that I change frequently.

It lasted very well for a week and may have lasted longer but I chose to take it off for hygienic purposes since I work in healthcare. HOWEVER I did prep with cuticle removal and very light buffing followed by the Orly Gel FX primer and easy-off base coat before the bodyguard.

After application I was able to put regular nail polish on top and changed my nail polish once without affecting the bodyguard. There was just a little lifting/wear at the tips on one or two nails when I went to change the polish possibly thanks to the prep and primer? so I buffed the bodyguard on those nails and added another layer, and boom, kept on rolling.

Removal: I was quite pleased with the removal process. Since my tips take a real beating and I’m trying desperately to keep my nails from peeling, I really wanted to make sure those tips were well wrapped, so I had added extra layers just over the tips.

The body of the nail had maybe three coats while the tips probably had six. I was nervous about having to scrape the gel off my nails and damage them. I removed the polish, then buffed the gel with a heavy grit file I don’t have an e-file, then applied acetone-soaked cotton with clips and soaked maybe 10 minutes.

The body of the nails that had just a couple layers popped right off quite obediently with no damage possibly thanks to the easy-off base coat?, but the tips were more stubborn since there were more layers.

I did end up having to scrape some and got some damage in the process, but I blame the extra thickness for that, not the product itself. I am amazed that this system had enough adherence to give me zero lifting at the base which I usually struggle with and little to no tip wear, surviving tons of hand washing and sanitizer and changing of polish, yet remove.

I use ORLY Gel FX Body Guard on top of my natural nails. See my photos. My nails are growing back after I damaged them removing the old salon gel without proper tools during lock down in spring. They are strong.

They are healthy. Gel comes off easy when soaked in acetone. No damage after weeks of use. They look more natural than when I used to get them professionally done. Though I never used tips and had gel overlay on my own nails, people always asked if my nails were real.

Look at these. No one will ask now. And it lasts. Pics two weeks after last application. They last as long as they did when I was going to salon. Some complain of lifting. Ive learned after several practice tries, that it is all in your technique.

Im no professional. But Ive gotten better about applying so that its not going over the edges or on cuticles which may cause lifting. I also purchased the nail drill kit, inexpensive here on Amazon, and Ive gotten good at shaping which prevents lifting.

Thanks to lockdown, I removed the SNS from my nails with acetone. As a result my nails and especially my cuticles were a mess – dry, flaky. In desperation, purchased this oil yesterday and have applied every few hours.

My cuticles from first use have softened and continue to do so. Even my nails look and feel better. Smells like almonds, not too oily and quickly absorbs. Will never be without this product.

I find this cuticle oil a little thin for my liking, but other than that, it does a decent job. It moisturizes, it soaks in fairly quickly and it helps keeps my nails healthy. I actually prefer to use it with Sally Hansen’s Vitamin E cuticle oil, as the two combined work better than either alone, but’s it’s worth the money all by itself too.

The individual ingredients are not expensive if you purchase them in bulk and mix a similar cocktail at home but their blend is pretty good. Just wish the fragrance was a little lighter (it smells strongly of artificial almonds).

The oil itself performs well and absorbs pretty quickly with a little bit of massaging. Cuticles definitely looked and felt softer. I just wished they offered it in a rollerball packaging so I can take it on the road with me.

For $7. 99 plus taxes I’m a little hesitant since all the ingredients in bulk are quite cheap, but if you can get it on sale for like $4-5 it’s worth it.

I got this for my kids, but am very glad I tried it on first. It’s cute (the glitter adds a nice little touch of sparkle and color for mostly clear polish). The issue was taking it off. I used two types of remover but couldn’t get the glitter off without have to just scrape my nails with a metal file.

I guess the clear polish acts like a glue and the remover can’t get underneath. Now my nails are horrendously striped and peeling. Glad my kids didn’t have to go through that. Crazy they charge this much for a bad product (we’ve used other polishes in this line).

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

‘ve been a huge fan of Nail Tek products – specifically the Foundation II and Intensive Therapy – for ten years. They are undoubtedly the reason for the long, strong nails that I have today and love to paint.

I have shared this fun passion with my young step-daughters, but it is often frustrating that I will spend HOURS painting wonderful designs on their little fingers and toes only to have them ruined because the girls can’t or won’t stay still long enough for their nails to completely dry.

No more than five minutes later, I looked over at the six year old and saw that she was sitting with her legs tucked directly underneath her, meaning her toes were being pressed against the sofa under the weight of her bottom.

I’m pretty sure that even my neighbors heard the blood curdling scream as I lunged across the room to pick her up. I braced myself for the bright orange and purple horror that I would undoubtedly find underneath her, but nothing was there.

I looked closer. I even picked up the cushion and held it to the light. There was absolutely no polish anywhere. I checked her toes and they were the same pristine stripes and polka dots I had painted ten minutes before.

Her nails had primer, two coats of polish, and nail art applied to them, so we’re not talking one light coat that would quickly air dry on its own. I love all Nail Tek products, and this nail cuticle oil makes any of the Nail Tek treatment products better by providing great hydration to my nails. The oil isn’t overly greasy, yet very hydrating with a pleasant scent that’s not overbearing.

I apply this oil to my cuticles and to the underside of the free edge of my nails, then massage well till absorbed. Afterwards I always use a moisturizer on my hands to lock in the oil. Highly recommend, it’s definitely 1 of my top 3 favorite nail cuticle oils!.

I got this product from a nail tek kit, together with a nail strengthener and a ridge filler. I am not a big fan of the other 2 products in the kit because they smells terrible. But I love this cuticle oil.

It helps smooth your cuticles immediately after you used it. And it smells not that terrible.

This cuticle oil has completely changed my nails. I have been using it every night before bed for almost a year, and I have seen such a positive change in my nails. I used to always have brittle nails that would peel and would barely get long because they would immediately break, now my nails are very strong and healthy and rarely break off.

There definitely is a dye in this cuticle oil to start staining my nails after about a week using 3-4 times a day. They turned orange-yellow tinge and definitely noticeable outside especially with using gel setter top coat.

This should definitely be pink tinged or a nail bed color or colorless. There must be a coloring or mango fragrance with a dye in it, to say there is no dye is misleading, my nails tinted the same color as the liquid in the bottle.

Disappointed because it did help my nails but color is definitely staining nails with repeated frequency.

I have very brittle and thin nails. They break, peel and rip constantly. I could never get them to grow pasta certain length without gel. I started using this oil 1-2x a day with a hand cream. After using consistently for a couple of months my nails are so thick and strong.

I was originally going to order the Essie cuticle oil (only because that is what I have always bought), but I thought to look and see how much this is since my manicurist likes it. This was on sale, so I decided to order and received it in just a few days (and I am on the East Coast).

It feels like a relatively light oil and absorbs within a few minutes after you massage it in. It’s not going to repair your cuticles overnight, but it is nice for everyday use. I really like the scent—it’s an almond smell.

My skin gets dry in the winter and again to a lesser extent during the summer because of air conditioning. I purchased this cuticle oil to reduce the likelihood of my skin drying/cracking because band-aids get in the way of fingerprint scans for authentication on mobile devices and it also negatively affects my ability to type on a keyboard.

Using this cuticle oil noticeably reduced the dryness issues, and I have found that using just a drop on one finger is enough to take care of the mail bed area on both hands. Usually I will put a drop on one thumb and then spread it to my other fingers – any more and my keyboard would get oily.

This bottle (which I believe cost less than $5 USD) is going to last me a long time, so I consider this to be a very cost effective item.

I’m a long time fan of Sally Hansen’s nail products, the repair lines in particular. So I was very eager to try this hardener especially as my nails are constantly breaking and brittle. I I have never found a product that is an all round solution to this problem (yes, I am also concious that nail health can be improved by good diet and plenty of water which I would say I have/do) and although I cannot say that this is 100% the best solution, the positives out weigh the negatives significantly.

Firstly, it’s a good size and easy application brush which can easily be used on the go if you needed. The smell is fairly mild considering it’s a nail product so you’ll be pleased to not be choked with fumes! I certainly noticed a difference in nail strength after continuous use over a 3 week period.

Nails did not feel as weak as without the product and one coat was enough to last a good week even with hands enduring daily manual things such as washing, cleaning etc My only negative which is sadly a big point for me as I always like to have a little colour on my nails is that it doesn’t really work well as a base coat.

I found my nail polish to be less lasting than usual with a tendency to peel easily or chip more frequently. On occasion, some nails even had odd ridging effect on them while the product was used too.

So overall I would certainly recommend this as a wear alone product. It does seem to help nails feel stronger. But if you’re like me and you like to have some colour on top then it may not be best to use as a base coat too.

I found a beautiful blue color today and had to try it. I’m. In. Love. It went on smooth, dried quickly and has yet to chip. I know, it’s only the first 12 hours. Every other nail polish I use chips a litttttle by this point.

I don’t know how long this fairy tale will last, but I’m fine if it’s even a day. Now I know I have a go-to that I can throw on in short order and not get smudges. I will be buying every shade that is flattering with my coloring.

I purchased the nail and cuticle oil pen. While I’m watching tv or relaxing in the evening, it is mindless to put the oil on my nails. I don’t worry about extra oil as this version delivers a perfect amount.

My cuticles are nourished and my nails look good. Also, one of the pen ends doubles as a cuticle pusher. Nice.

I tried this product out at the recommendation of a friend and I haven’t been able to find anything like it. I’ve tried several brands as well but I always come back to this one. What I like about it is that it keeps the moisture and active ingredients for a far longer time than the other products I’ve tried so I don’t need to apply it as often.

I’ve been using this nail/cuticle oil for over a year, and I absolutely love it and highly recommend it. Why? First, because Dr. Hauschka products are known for their quality. I was introduced to the Dr.

I read the reviews for lots of products and most of the time I seriously wonder whether women can really see an improvement from using a product, especially an expensive skin care product. Well, I’m a horticulturist and I work outdoors.

I use gloves, but my hands still get dirty and dry from constant use. I apply a small drop of oil to each cuticle EVERY night before bed. It’s a habit and ritual. I massage it into the entire nail, then rub any excess all over my hands.

I used to pick the layers off my nails when I was a teenager. I was warned that my nails would never look good and that they would always split as they grew longer. Well, that doesn’t happen anymore.

My nails grow out strong with no splits. This product is a keeper and worth every cent.

I have dry, brittle and thin nails with ridges. I’ve been using this product for over 12 months. I’ve noticed a huge difference, I used to apply every night now I use it a few times a week. My nails are much stronger, shiny, less prone to breakage and my ridges are less visible! I can actually grow my nails out and they don’t snap nearly as much as they used to! Highly recommend.

I have tried about every cuticle oil, cream, serum or treatment out there and nothing comes close to how this performs. It moisturizes both your nails and lateral walls so my thin peel-y nails have become more flexible now and lateral walls are softer than without this oil.

I haven’t come across a cuticle oil that works wonders on both skin and nails, so this product is also economical 🙂 I buy the 6oz bottle and it lasts me a year and a few months, never losing its efficacy.

It smells great and is 95% made out of organic oils. Been using this since 2018 and I never looked back!.

My fingernails & hands take a hammering dried out in the sun & chlorine from the pool I spend several hours in a day on holiday. Wearing nail varnish every day of the year can also dry them out wrecking my nail condition.

A few drops of this beautiful smelling oil, massaged into the cuticles & nails helps to stop my nails becoming dried out & brittle. In these days of relentless hand sanitiser & hand washing, I am happy that my long time favourite Aveda Hand Relief, keeps my hands soft & supple (so is my husband).

It smells gorgeous & the cream is the perfect texture, not too hard, nor too runny. I have been buying both for years & will continue to do so. Thoroughly recommend. Remember the hands give away a lot of a woman’s secrets.

This oil is the best nail oil I’ve tried. I have weak nails that tend to spilt (the top splits away from the bottom) and my cuticles are always getting rough snagging bits. This oil smells amazing and absorbs really well.

I use after every hand wash and right before bed and it’s definitely made a difference to my nails and cuticles.

My cuticles and consequently my nails were very very dry and Phenomen oil has helped tremendously. It has a pleasant but not intrusive perfume. It is not an instant fix so needs to be applied regularly through the day especially last thing at night.

The application from the bottle is awkward for a busy life so I decanted a little into an empty nail oil bottle that has a nail varnish type brush attached to the screw on lid. Perhaps the manufacturers could look at this small adjustment.

This made it easier to carry in my handbag and use regularly through the day. After a week I could see results which have steadily improved during the first month.

My favorite part after I do my nails. I don’t know why I love this cuticle oil so much but it makes my manicure that much better. Only thing I dislike is no matter how loose I put the lid on it manages to tighten up between uses and I struggle every time to get the bottle open.

None of my other Gelish have that issue lol. Pro, a little of this goes a long way.

When doing your nails you need to get those cuticles gone for a great application. After my nails are finished I put this on all my cuticles, finger and toes, and it gives your manicure that beautiful extra touch! I also use it when I’m rocking my natural nails.

An amazing product!.

ordered 400 of these for my salon customers gifts. the order came in a very well packaged boxes of 10. sometimes I receive broken polish bottles from another website. Beyond polish definitely does a great job with packaging, which is very important.
