15 Best Curling Iron At Target (2023 Updated)

I originally purchased this particular curling Iron because it generally had high ratings. I would say the cost is in a great range and the colors are very pretty and has a great range of temperatures to choose from.

However, for functionality, it has a horrible design flaw. The tip of the curling iron is very small. So its difficult to hold the curl because you have to use your very tips of your fingers to avoid a very hot surface.

Second and the most frustrating is that the temperature dial is at the very base and point where your thumb maks contact to hold and curl. This means every time I start to roll up the hair, my thumbs are constantly readjusting the temperature.

you have to reset the temperature multiple times when using. Its soooooo frustrating and such a bad place to have the dial. Not really worth the cost savings in the long run.

I bought the Conair Nano Curling iron after my mom told me it was a great curling iron. So I was excited to try it out. When I bought it years ago I had pin straight hair, thin strands, and it was thick.

My hair doesn’t hold curls well unless I use a ton of firm holding hairspray. Even then sometimes my hair won’t hold the curls. This curling iron made beautiful curls in my hair. I used my firm holding hair spray and it looked like the perfect soft curls I always wanted from a curling iron.

The only problem was an hour went by and my curls were falling out already. After two hours my hair looked like a mess. I really wasn’t impressed with how fast my curls fell out. I gave it two stars because it did curl nice.

Maybe it will work for others well like it did for my mom. I was just not for me.

I bought a HT curling iron at Christmas and the clamp was loose within a month and I don’t use any products in my hair that would cause any issues with the clamp. This Conair Infinity Pro curling iron is fantastic though! It’s hot, curls my thick hair really well and has a good clamp.

Also has automatic shut off which is essential according to my husband who says I forget to turn it off all the time. 🙂 My hair comes out looking beautiful, shiny and has great waves that stay all day.

The one tiny downside is the tip of the curling iron is definitely warm. I can still touch it and use it but it’s warmer than what I’d prefer. I had a Conair Infiniti Pro iron that lasted for almost 10 years.

Not sure why I decided to try HT, but went back to the Conair Infinity Pro pretty quickly and so happy I did!.

I can’t decide if I like it or not. It’s definitely a good curling iron if you like loose curls. My hair usually curls really well but this only gave me a loose curl on 15 heat. Turned it up and they held a bit better but I don’t feel comfortable using that high of heat on it.

I also hate that it doesn’t have a temperature but numbers.

Revlon is my go to when it comes to my hair. I’m 52 and have literally the best hair of my life so far. This curler is affordable and creates curls beautifully. I’ve never had any issue with my curls staying using Revlon.

This iron produces lovely curls and is comfortable to use. The cool tip is a great size; I would have burned my fingers several times without it! The clamp is nice and firm (always a concern with my fine and soft hair as it slips through loose clamps easily).

The handle is comfortable to hold. It heats up reasonably fast, and I like the temperature options. Especially for the price, this is a good product.

I love this curling iron. I can do bigger sections for looser curls, smaller for tighter curls. It is a good size and weight. It allows for heat adjustment, so I don’t fry my hair off. I did my hair the other day and it took 10 minutes and I have decently long hair.

The cord is long so it is easy to get those back of your head pieces. It has also lasted a while. I’ve had this since 2014 and it is still working like the day I brought it home. (just without that nasty first time use smell).

I have tried multiple curling irons and find myself coming back to this one every time. I use this curling iron when I have not washed my hair the previous day or if I had product in my hair the previous day otherwise I cannot curl my hair when it dries the first time after washing.

I actually have this curling iron in 3 sizes. This is the one I use when I want my hair to have a nice smooth look. I just run it through and slightly curl the ends under. My hair never gets caught in the barrel.

I already have this curling iron and liked it so much that I thought I would purchase a spare. This iron heats up very quickly and is very comfortable to use. Target’s price was great. I ordered it on their website and everything went smoothly.

This curling iron gets super hot so I don’t recommend using the highest setting. I also use Paul Mitchell’s Hot off the Press thermal spray to protect my hair when I use my iron. It works great. I would recommend this curling to anyone without hesitation.

This is a product that is for someone that is use to handling “professional” curling irons. It is NOT for the novice person. If you do not know what setting to use start at the “lowest” first, then work your way up until you get to the correct heat for your hair type.

If you do not follow this you will burn your hair off and leave it damaged. Never use this product without a heat serum to help prevent heat damage.

Bought 3/4 inch to mimic my natural curl pattern for the few pieces that fall straight. didn’t curl it, just looked like I twirled around my finger. Tried it on my whole head (low heat too) and hair looked frizzy/ felt dead.

Even tried brushing it out looked 10x worse. Do not recommend. Wish I didn’t toss the box and could return.

I looooove ceramic tools curling irons. I use a 1 in – 3 in barrel curling iron when I do my curls they always come out so beautiful! The barrel size really has an effect on the outcome of the curls.

Absolutely love this curling iron, the barrel is a great size and I either clip my hair or wrap the hair around the barrel to achieve different types of curls. Price point is great and will be using this for years!.

Very difficult to use, cannot clamp hair tightly enough to straighten. You get what you pay for. This is a lightweight, cheap version of Babyliss’s ceramic flatiron. Look for the model that has the temperature control and on/off switch on the side of the flatiron! That’s the good one.

This curling iron is terrible! I have only had it for 8 months and for a couple months now it has not been doing its job…curling hair. If, by chance, I do get a curl out it, it falls out within minutes.

I have used hot tools for awhile, a recommendation from my hair stylist. The quality in their products has really gone down hill!! I would seriously considering another brand. You will not get much use out of this one!.

I purchased this curling iron after a recommendation of my hairstylist. Yes, the color is great, but you can also tell the quality compared to other ‘mainstream’ brands, is much greater. LOVE that the cord is wrapped in softer material so it doesn’t ‘kink’ up or fnanage easily like other brands that are just plastic covered.

It doesn’t ‘pull’ at baby hairs and it doesn’t burn your hair to oblivion (love that you can set a temp to your liking!) Also, the metal used on this iron is much better for your hair, compared to many that will fry and damage your hair very quickly.

Purchased this curling iron with the recommendation of my hair stylist. This is the only one she uses. To turn on the curling iron, you plug it in and press the on button. You can change the temperature of the iron by rotating the switch to the number you’d use for your hair type.

I use the 9 setting. Once the green light above the on button stays lit, the curling iron is ready to be used. The BaByliss curler really does leaves your hair smooth and silky. I also noticed when I get ready to curl my hair, I always start at the middle and slide the barrel down to the ends of my hair.

With other curlers it usually will stop half way down and get stuck. Then I wind up with the hair curler crease. With this curler that has not happened. I start at the middle and smooth it down to the ends without any issues.

I use this curler every day since I’ve been advised to stop using a flat iron. I’m so glad I purchased this curling iron.

Purchased this for travel to Europe. I already owned a Conair 1. 5-inch ceramic curling iron, but it was not dual voltage so I would not be able to use it in Europe without a voltage converter. I purchased this and it worked both in Europe and now in the U.

S. as expected. It is a little heavier, probably due to the mechanisms that allow dual voltage, but not significantly so. The price was much lower than some other dual voltage curling irons and I think it is a great value for the money.

Also, I can use it now that I am back in the U. S.

Just received this curling iron today and wanted to try it right away. Big disappointment: it doesn’t curl even with the highest setting on! I have straight normal hair till the middle of the back and my old smaller one that I have works perfectly fine.

Very very disappointed with this one. Unfortunately I will have to return tomorrow. Lost money on delivery too.

I’ve been using this same conair curling iron for years and it does not disappoint. The 1. 25 inch barrel is perfect for long hair. My only gripe is the kick stand is not extremely sturdy and moves around quite a bit.

I really like that I can clear as day see what I have the temperature set at, and the fact that I am able to lock it so I don’t accidentally switch it while in use. I also really like the location of the on/off button, as it helps prevent accidentally turning it off before I’m ready to.

Speaking of turning off, this has a two hour auto shut off just in case you do forget. Awesome safety feature!! Another great feature about this curling iron is how long the cord is! I was blown away when I saw it, and honestly pretty excited! There’s nothing worse than not being able to move as you need to because the cord is to short.

Now for the curling iron and how it performs. It heats very quickly, which I love. I hate having to wait for my tools to warm when I’m in a hurry to get ready. It is lightweight and easy to hold, so it doesn’t tire my arm as quickly as others I’ve used.

The clamp is of good quality and easy to use. It has good spring to it, if that makes sense. As for the curls, it gives beautiful spiral curls that are shiny and bouncy. My hair typically doesn’t hold curl very well, however with this, it seems to hold longer than it normally does.

I’m very impressed with this curling iron and I look forward to trying more by HOT TOOLS! I definitely recommend!.

I’ve had a Babyliss Pro 1. 25 inch iron for nearly 10 years and it just died on me last week. I went to ulta today to replace it and saw this iron, thinking I’d try something new-big mistake. Most of the poor reviews on this curling iron are due to the fact that it breaks within just a few uses, however, I dislike it so much I won’t be keeping it long enough to find out if it’s lifespan is short or not.

PROS: Sleek design, clip doesn’t crimp hair, creates soft, shiny waves, digital read is clear and obvious. CONS: This iron smells. I’m not sure if it’s just mine, but I’ll occasionally get whiffs of hot plastic.

The construction of the handle/clip is kind of clumsy and makes it hard to work with. Today was the first day I actually dropped an iron and burned myself. The “cool tip” doesn’t stay cool for long. My biggest issue is the horizontal dial to adjust the temperature-when I’m rotating the barrel through my hair, it’s very easy to bump that dial and either drastically decrease or increase the temp.

I’ll be returning this today and will just buy another Babyliss.

I bought this in 1/2 inch because I wanted small tight corkscrew curls but if that’s what you’re looking for, don’t buy this. The barrel may be small but you’ll still get a loose curl like you might with a bigger barrel.

It does curl the hair but within hours, the tighter curls turn into waves but this might be good if you want subtle waves later. The look of the curls is very classic clamp curling iron waves but like I said the curls didn’t last long before they were just waves and my hair is the type that takes curl very well.

I even put the heat at the highest setting and still the curls didn’t hold up very well. I curled my hair last night and when I woke up, I still had some wave but simple brushing of hair completely brushed any wave out.

I have yet to hairspray them and see how they hold up. I don’t think I’ll return it because it does work and does curl hair but if you’re looking for a curler where the curls will stay tight for a long time, this isn’t it.

This product isn’t completely horrible. Like people mentioned the on/off button is at an awkward spot but I had no problem with it and didn’t accidentally hit it or almost hit it at all when curling my hair because I read reviews prior to using the curler.

It’s an okay curler but not great. This curler is probably good if you want to add some body and wave to your hair by curling your hair into tight ringlets and then just letting them gradually turn into waves themselves or breaking them up.

I rated this product based on good old memories. This cutler lasts a life time and curls will also last all day BUT, there’s always a but! After using other materials in the market this curling iron will burn your hair easily not recommended for colored, fine or thin hair.

If you have virgin hair and will only curl your hair once in a while it’s worth to have this affordable option.

I could not find the exact curling iron that I use however I have had it forever. I would say I have had that curling iron since 2001-2002. It may be an oldie but it is certainly a good one. Still heats evenly.

Has a protective cover for after use, and adjustable temperature level. Will continue to use until it finally gives out I guess.

Love this curling iron. I’ve used Revlon brand many years and I’ve never had one break or go out on me. I usually just like to buy different sizes or upgrade what I have. I’m so pleased with this Remington curler. It has a clip that keeps your hair in place while curling, which makes it so much easier and simpler. I’ve used it everyday so far and my hair always looks so sleek, perfectly curled and smooth once I’ve finished with it.

The best part is that it never takes longer than 20 minutes or so and I have pretty thick hair. The curls last all day and while eventually they get looser, it actually still looks great and my hair stays smooth and soft.

I received this product through the Spectrum Brands First Look program about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I use the product to finish my hair styling following the use of velcro rollers. The features of 30 second heat up and auto shut off are great.

The 30 heat settings is a nice feature, though not sure that many are needed. The swivel cord makes use and styling much easier. A concern I have with some curling irons, including this one, is having the hot curling iron surface rest on my bathroom counter.

I had hoped that the swivel cord would be able to be positioned so that the iron would rest on the handle portion instead of the hot curling end. It seems that the weight of the curling end is heavier than the handle so it will not rest on the handle.

The curling iron is attractive and comfortable to hold. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

The curls I got out of this amazing curling iron were big and awesome. This curling iron gives you fast and even heat through out the whole part of the curling iron you need for you hair. The cord is awesome as it is more of a swivel cord on this curling iron.

Bought this wand because I wanted to experiment with an inexpensive styling tool to see if I could create those relaxed beachy waves that are so popular, I couldn’t get my regular curling iron to create what I was going for.

Absolutely LOVE this curling iron. It makes big loose apple bottom curls! Very affordable price. It comes with a heat protective finger glove , but once used to using it, I don’t need the glove.

I am reviewing a L’ange tool that’s not listed on here. It’s called the 360 Airflow Titanium Styler. I attached a pic. I received this as a gift. I have a hard time making waves in my hair with a regular flat iron and found this styler through an email from L’ange for a sale price.

I absolutely love it to make curls and waves after I flat iron my natural 3A-C curls. But I’ll stick to a regular flat iron for that because they work the best on my hair to flat iron. This Styler can also be used on a flat iron.

I’d suggest to use the flat iron if you have thinner hair. It will definitely work on that. This is a little tricky to use at first. The power and heating buttons are sensitive because they’re in the place that you hold the styler to twirl around your section of hair.

So I always check and see if it still on the temperature that I set it to (highest). The fan isn’t quiet but it’s not loud either. I like that it has a fan because it helps cool the curl/wave and lock it in place without all the damage from a regular flat iron with no fan.

After a few tries, I got the hang of it and it’s easy! Highly recommended. Especially if you have trouble curling your hair with a regular flat iron.

I purchased this during their, I think black Friday in July sale? I forget. Either way. It works nice. I love the adjustments to heat. It also heats Super fast! There is minimal waiting. It’s sleek. Beautiful look to the wand.
