20 Best Curler For Thick Hair (2023 Updated)

Personally I love these- yes the Velcro makes it a bit tough to take them out, the first few inches I just unroll them and then I’m able to slide them out. This is the only reason for 4 stars. Taking them out may be easier for people with finer hair.

Also, I have highlighted hair and am used to flyways and breakage, so that doesn’t really bother me, but I’m sure it could if you’re looking for ultra-smoothness. I love big, bouncy hair and that’s what I get with these.

My hair is just above my shoulders, so I use the small ones at my crown, mediums in the middle and biggest on bottom. When they come down, it’s all volume and bounce. The Velcro does work on its own in some places, in some places I use a clip.

Overall, they’ve given me great hair that I love and I’ll continue using them!! P. s. I bought 2 packs.

I was drawn to these because of their velcro properties with ceramic. However, if you have damaged or brittle hair, do not use these. The velcro is very strong and you really have to pull at your hair to remove them.

Removing them is like pulling cactus burs out of your wool hiking socks. I think they work for a good-looking blowout but I probably won’t use them every day. How do I use them? I use a tubular ceramic brush and divide my hair into a halo section.

I use the curlers on the front of my hair and on the top of my head. I blow dry my hair straight up and then apply the curlers to sit and cool with some hair spray.

I bought these rollers as I was looking for something to give me that trendy 90s blowout. The rollers are great quality and the size variety is excellent! I recommend if you have thick or long hair that you purchase two packets as one wouldn’t be enough for your whole head.

I blow dried my hair with a round brush, placed the rollers in my hair and waited 45 minutes. I was left with extreme voluminous, bouncy hair. The only reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 is that it is quite difficult to use at first and takes a while to get used to.

Overall a great product and excellent value.

These work good. I’m very new to hot rollers, or rollers in general. I have very long hair, past mid back, so this set didn’t have enough for me. What hair I could get in, did curl. The plastic clips aren’t the greatest, but do work if you can get them on right, without pulling your hair off the rollers.

I would give 5 stars if the set come with more. I don’t know many people who only use 5 rollers. Unless you are using these with another set.

I was looking for rollers for travel that would be smaller and lighter and these fit the bill. I like them so much have bee using them daily. They work great for me. My only suggestion if buying is to use the pins over the clips that come with it as they do leave a mark on my hair.

I have the metal pins (?) that slide in and do a great job.

The product’s concept is a good one. It heats up quickly. The rollers are not as “JUMBO” as l need them to be, for a “Bob” hairstyle just below the chin. The clips that came with also leave a lot to be desired.

They do not hold the heavy roller in place. Thus, leaving indents in the curl. I want a smooth, straight appearance with the curve just under my chin. The pins they offer for a bit more will not hold roller in place either.

I do not see volumn of curls being effected either, as advertised.

Lets start with the design. I love the details on the handle and love the colors they chose. as it brings a little spring time in to my hair collection. Also this is the first time for me using a tool like this.

where i am able to not worry about clipping my hair with a alligator type clamp. The color matching buttons makes it easy to make sure you use the recommended temp and with the power button easy to change the temp if needed.

Also the capability to inner change the size is to cool. it took me a few times to get the hang of using these tools but that only because im use to the clamp style. I do have heavy hair with thickness to it.

so i was amazingly shocked how long my curls lasted. as i have long down pasted the middle of my back and again it thick hair. Now it does NOT take long for the wand to warm up. maybe a full minute to be at its full temp.

so this will be only tool for now on for my hair to be curled.

I’m really impressed with this set. I’ve considered buying it for years, but couldn’t justify the price. I picked it up on sale (and used a lot of points), thinking if it isn’t worth the hype – it won’t be as much of a loss.

The good news: this set is so great, I’m buying a couple more attachments. For someone with VERY straight, long, fine hair. but a LOT of it, it’s very hard to find tools that work the way they say they will.

I had a failed experience with the Dyson styler and several other styling tools. Really impressed with the quality and barrels. My only gripe is that all of the wands being the same (but different sizes) is a little redundant for me, having long hair.

I find I really only utilize the largest barrel. Even the middle size is a bit tight for my hair – using the second heat setting for each barrel.

I have had the T3 Twirl for about 2 years now. I also own the T3 Whirl, GHD curling irons, Bio Ionic curling irons, and Babyliss curling irons. I am a product junkie! I love the 1. 5” iron in this set.

But the 1. 25” and 1” leave clamp marks (even on lowest setting, and yes I know how to use a curling iron properly) and they do not glide through my hair. I feel they tug and always find strands in the base of the clamp.

The curls do last and are shiny, but the hassle of the process isn’t worth it when other irons are just easier to use. The 1. 5” glides nicely, but it’s the smaller two that do not glide and really pull my hair.

I reached out to T3 shortly after purchasing this about the two attachments and basically got a nothing response.

Absolutely love this curling iron! It’s so versatile and works amazing. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because it was missing a hair clip. I wish the barrel was also longer. I know that it’s the extended barrel, but my hair is super long and I cannot curl it with the clamp barrel and specifically bought it in hopes that it would work because I have yet to find one that will.

Other than that; I’m obsessed with the wand options. I would recommend this product to others!! <3.

I absolutely love this product, it is so lightweight and easy to use. It does more than just the job on my hair, it makes my hair the perfect amount of curly or even wavy. I love that you can switch out the sizes depending on what size you want your curls to be.

I was able to purchase it with a code so I got it for a lot less but I would definitely pay the full price now that I know how amazing of a product it really is. I will definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I’ve now had my 5-in-1 Bombay wand for about a year. It works wonderfully. I use it to style my own hair as well as many friends for formal occasions and wedding updos. It works great in a variety of hair types.

My hair is somewhat thick yet silky (not straight naturally, moreso wavy natural). This wand (with its adjustable temperatures) is great for all hair types! I’ve styled gals with slick stick straight hair as well as gals with thick coarse hair.

All styles (on different heat settings) have works fabulously in all hair types. I love the different size barrels. You can achieve any style, from “Shirley Temple” ringlets to loose beach waves. I’m in love with this wand and will never buy another one! It’s fantastic, you won’t regret your purchase of this wand!.

I used hot rollers in the 80’s with no problems on long hair and got long lasting curls. After years of having short hair and letting it grow out during Covid. , I thought hot rollers would be faster than a curling iron.

These rollers get so hot, even the end edges you’re suppose to hold get so hot it’s almost impossible to pick them up. Also nothing to keep the hair on the curler for the first few wraps without attempting to touch the curler.

The curls did not last as long as my curling iron curls. I took it back. I would not recommend them. The curlers need a better design. The 80’s hot curlers were much better.

It’s better than the hot rollers I used to work with years ago! I like the color coordination of the curlers to the pins and there was complete smoothness, no tangles getting the curlers out of my hair.

My hair looked amazing yesterday, Sunday, July17, 2022 for church because I used this product! The price was fabulous an it came through the mail quickly! I’m bringing the hot curlers with me to Iowa this weekend to see four operas in three days and I know I’ll look smashing!.

This Hair Setter curls my hair quite well. However. there are two issues I have found after using it only twice. 1. It does not have a shutoff switch so you have to plug it in to turn it on and unplug it to turn it off.

2. The rollers are hot to the touch. They have a small rim around each roller that is not as hot, but the roller is pretty small and right now it is hard not to hurt my fingers. I am hoping after a few more uses I will find it easier to hold the rollers buy the little rim.

Because, as I said before, it curls my hair really well.

I just absolutely love them, first of all they look stylish and compact in their container. They plug in and the tou simply section your hair (I did it very roughly) and rolled up and used the roller clamps to hold in place.

About 10 minutes later when the rollers had cooled I took the rollers out 1 by one. Well I simply could not believe the beautiful and professional finish it gave. My hair had soft voluptuous curls everywhere with very little effort (I looked like Marylin Monroe!).

I then thought I would let my daughter who is 10 have a go on her even longer hair, under my watchful eye she managed to put the rollers in herself and again 10 minutes later she had the most stunning curls, for once she was eager to get to school to show her friends! Honestly, this is a brilliant set I absolutely love it.

And enjoy using it too, it’s small enough to take away with me when I stay away too xx.

I chopped my hair to above shoulder in order to start curling my hair. Freshly washed and dried, these should have really made my hair bounce. Sadly, the soft curl lasted about 15 mins before I realised it had dropped out.

I dont think the covering on the rollers works well at heating the hair. I bought these as my old hard spiky ones with pins had died, but they did great job with my hair. Why fix something that wasn’t broken??? Fancy box and clips, pretty rollers, fancy price too.

No good if it doesn’t work. Unfortunately as I have used them I cannot return. Shameful.

Purchased these because I love hot rollers and needed some new ones. I love the way these look but the functionality is terrible. The bottom rollers are difficult to slide up and good luck not burning your fingers in the process.

I lost one clip with a roller on the bottom rack and had to use the end of my comb to scoot the roller up (it was too hot otherwise). Once I was done with the rollers I noticed that putting them back proved to be difficult, they don’t slide down easily at all and I wanted to use the rollers for a fast morning routine but spent more time putting them back than I did putting them in my hair.

Like the title says, a good idea in theory but over complicated. Unfortunately, the good old fashion roller setup is more effective, easier and I cant tell a difference with this thermaluxe they are referring to.

Purchased a set of rollers in the normal hair setter container and it was much faster and effective (rollers were bigger in length than these too).

I will be completely honest, I purchased this without ever using a wand in my life. Haha. Here and there I have been practicing and also trying different wands. I still haven’t made it through all 5 of them yet! This set is amazing though! Especially for newbies like me, the protective hand glove DEFINITELY comes in handy.

I love that it’s temperature controlled so it doesn’t accidentally fry my hair. Starting it up is as simple as it gets. Turn it on and select your heat setting. I am pretty sure but please don’t quote me on this but I believe the base can be interchanged with the Le duet.

So I found that to be pretty cool. I haven’t tried it yet though. I just came across it on a l’ange video. In no time it’s ready for you to start curling! Currently my hair is short so I think it makes it a little more difficult.

But all in all I love that it is interchangeable. And if you are careful and do the proper steps, you can swap out the wands if you wanted to use 2 different wands on your hair that day for looser and/or tighter waves for a different look.

It is very versatile and even though it’s expensive as it is, I do not regret purchasing it. I just can’t wait until my hair grows longer!! I’ll probably use it way more then I am now. Lately I’ve kind of been stuck on the Le duo and the Le duet play lately.

I always thought my hair ‘just doesn’t hold a curl’. Boy, was I wrong!! My hair holds a curl from this for up to 4-5 or so days!!! Other brands of curling irons… my hair wouldn’t even stay curled for the rest of that same day.

I had no clue that there could be such a difference in the quality of a curling iron/ wand… I always just thought it was my hair that wouldn’t hold a curl. I love how this wand comes with SO many options! It’s like buying 1 wand, but being sent 5 versions of it! I’ve tried all of them, and they all work great! My favorite one is the bubbly/ bumpy looking one.

I think that one makes my hair the most curly and lasts the longest. Moral of the story, skip all of the other cheap quality brands that won’t do much of anything for your hair, and just get this 5- in- 1 curling wand that actually makes all the effort of curling your hair worth it, because it actually works and lasts!!!.

I was completely underwhelmed by this product. It’s a lot of hype for basically a regular curling iron. And when you use the rotation feature it makes it hard to find the clamp to release. Just feel like it is an over glorified curling iron with half a clamp.

And honestly I would love to return it but every time I have found a product that I don’t like from them it’s a great big hassle to try to get a return done. I swore last time I wouldn’t buy from them ever again but when I saw this curling iron I thought it would be awesome because I do have some limited mobility in my neck.

So I decided to give it a try but was not at all impressed and I know I can’t get my money back. Or should I say most of the time you can’t get ALL your money back. Or if you don’t keep every single part of the way it was packaged when it was delivered to you they won’t even entertain the thought of letting you return it.

So this will be my last purchase from them. I have bought many products over the years and a couple of them I really liked but most of the time I could’ve found something like it at a cheaper price somewhere else.

Sorry Lange. Maybe if your customer service was easier to deal with and I could be guaranteed a full return with NO HASSLE I would stay. But you have lost my business and I hope no one else falls prey to your money back guarantee promise.

Anyone that has middle school or high school girls this new hair tool is a must. Both my girls love it. They are so proud that they can fix their own hair now. This tool is easy to use and produces long lasting curl.

I have never been able to use a straighter or wand to achieve great curl and always went back to my old school curling iron. I was so excited to get this product because I knew I could and would use it.

I have medium length thin natural curly hair, my youngest has long wavey thin hair and my oldest has thick strait hair that refuses to hold curl. This hair tool works for us all. Love it.

I had a Chi Arc for years, which I loved. When it broke, I was unable to find one so I turned to L’ange because I’ve loved all the irons so far. This iron is good, but I can’t give it 5 stars compared to my Chi.

There are 2 things that could be better. My Chi would beep to let you know when to release the hair and this does not. Maybe it’s just something I’m used to but I liked it. The other thing that I’ve noticed with this one is that it’s very easy to accidentally hit the reset button with your finger while you’re trying to twist it.

No one wants their hair going in any weird direction in rotating curling irons, so for me that feature could certainly be improved. However, it does a great job at the end of the day.

This product offers the versatility that I wanted to pear down on my quickly growing collection of hair tools. My cabinet in the bathroom was becoming very cluttered with cords, and I decided to give this a try! I can store everything in the included pouch, and it will allow me to get rid of 3 other curling irons I had.

The included glove is really nice for those of us who grew accustomed to holding on to the grip on the tip of a traditional curling iron. I find myself doing that a lot, so the glove saves the day! It is pretty easy to switch the rods, and it looks very nice and sleek! It’s easy to control and makes me more likely to use the various sizes.

I may even get rid of my curling wand, though that’s a big commitment, because I’m really attached to it! It’s also Xtava, so it has that same great quality. I get compliments when I decide to curl my hair rather than straightening it, and that’s always nice.

I have naturally curly hair, but it is unwieldy and frizzy, so I typically just straighten it to keep it smooth. These curling iron barrels have all done well at smoothing while giving defined curls.

I’m new to curling my hair, and I didn’t know what size of curling iron I needed. Since this one came in a variety of sizes, I’m able to try them and see what type of curl I like best. I didn’t know that this type of curling iron existed I’ve only ever seen the ones that are a standard size.

The curling iron heats up quickly, and the temperature settings go up in small intervals instead of large ones. The carrying case that they give you to store all of the curling irons helps protect them and keep them all in one place.

I liked that you were also provided with a glove to use. You can still feel the heat through the glove, but I was able to safely hold my hair against the curling iron while wearing it. I’ve never used a glove like that before, but it’s definitely nice having that bit of protection while using the curling irons.

Since I’m new to it, I’m always afraid that I’m going to burn myself. It takes a little bit of effort to change the curling iron sizes, but once you figure out how to do change them it isn’t too bad.

I would recommend these for someone new to curling their hair. It’s a ​nice sampling of sizes.

Pro: I am very happy with my purchase of the curling iron set. I dislike having to store away a lot of stuff and what’s nice about this set is that you can change out the barrels! No need to have different curling irons for different sizes of curls! I also really appreciate the clipless barrels! They are so cool! Con: I had no idea how it worked when I took it out of the box.

I have never had an interchangeable curling iron before and I had to visit the website to understand what to do! There were not any instructions included. Maybe not needed for some. would have been nice for me.

I am in love with this curled as the barrel is just the right size for the curls I want! You can change it to how hot you want as well where as some curlers you’re unable to do that! Ever since I’ve gotten it I have used it almost every time I shower cause I love how it curls my hair! I purchase the mollymae curl kit edition which also came with 10 clips a hair brush glove and little rubber thing so you can place the curler on and it comes in pink 😍 I would highly recommend it to anyone with long hair!.
