20 Best Cube For Speed Cubing (2023 Updated)

When I saw pictures of this on the internet, i was incredulous at first; it seemed to be an impossible object, it must have been doctored somehow, right? Yet I took the plunge anyway and bought one. Shipping to the USA all the way from Australia was rough, but the result was so worth it.

Believe the pictures, because it’s somehow even better in person! The quality of the craftsmanship is sublime, the cube is crystal clear, free of flaws, and the edges are formed perfectly, not exactly sharp, but a texture i can’t stop fiddling with.

Everyone I’ve shown it to has been entranced, especially when I first show them just the angle to only see the normal 3 CMY shades, only to flip it over, for all the shades to begin mixing. The wait was long, even with express shipping, well over a month, but other reviews suggest regular shipping may take far longer.

It was well worth the weight, but do consider going for the express! I’m thrilled with this, and coming back for more!.

Great cube but it was hard to get it. After I bought the original cube, when it was suppose to be delivered, i got sick. I expected call from delivery, but there was silence. I waited and waited, while being sick, but nothing rang.

after a week, I got better, so I left home for some shopping, checked my inbox and guess what, I got a note that my package is waiting at post office. Right, i forgot that post office does not phone, mostly just leaves notes.

If i waited 1-2 more days, it would be returned. That was close. IMPORTANT!! Also, first I wanted to support local economy and bought it from someone from my country. Turned out it was fake. Instead of cmy cube, they sell rgb prism cube and advertise as cmy.

And discussion with seller was terrible, From his message I got impression that it’s some imigrant that hardly speaks english. So in the end I also got 2 rgb prism cubes I will probably use as gifts for someone some day.

I was too afraid to return and still lose money. At least price was correct and they are correct prisms. So yeah, if you think someone in your country is selling these cmy cubes, there is 90% chance that it’s not CMY but RGB prism cubes.

This is probably the only valid place to buy.

I was so excited when I ordered my CMY Cube. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and start playing with it. When it finally arrived, I couldn’t believe how amazing it was. The cube was so fascinating and interactive, and I loved how each face of it was coated in different colors.

I spent hours playing with the cube and experimenting with all the different ways I could use it. I soon began to create beautiful artwork with it and found that I was really starting to enjoy using the cube.

The more time I spent with the cube, the more fascinated I became with it. I soon realized that the science behind the cube was truly amazing and began to understand how it worked. The more I used the cube, the more I fell in love with it.

My brother bought my 5 year old niece this shape shifting box for Christmas, and she absolutely loved it! It is such a great sensory toy that involves critical thinking and discovering patterns and of course FUN! However, my 37 year old husband loved the toy just as much (if not more) and he couldn’t even put it down.

He even took it with us to a drive-in movie theater, and played with it throughout the whole movie. About two weeks after Christmas, a special surprise showed up at our door. My brother, who had originally purchased the gift for my five-year-old niece, bought another one for my husband to have one of his own.

I’m just blown away by the performance of the Cube. I cannot describe the feel of the cube it’s very fast yet very controllable and Core magnets just feel completely different than any other cube and core magnets also makes the cube very stable.

The cube weighs just 63grms and you can actually feel the difference it makes. Turning is very light, smooth and algorithms just flies by. I’ve never enjoyed cubing this much. The turning of cube is very enjoyable.

I’ve WRM20 but the feeling is completely different than that it’s more stable and controllable than the WRM. To be honest WRM is way faster for me which makes it unstable and I overshoot a lot. But 11M Pro is also very fast but due to core magnets I can still control the cube.

Although I’m not the fastest cuber out there and I cannot use the full potential of both the Cubes as I’m just at Sub 18 A05. The cubes have much more to offer it’s just my skills are lacking. But I enjoy 11M Pro way more than my any other cube.

Corner Cutting is good it can cut 45° with ease and above 45° with some effort but it depends on your settings which can be customised as per your need. Reverse is best I’ve ever seen. Although it don’t lock up if you have somewhat accurate turning but for rough it may lockup a little and not always.

Magnetic Strength you can feel the difference between Weak to Strong easily, I haven’t tried the hexagonal magnets provided in the box as default medium magnet strength works best for me. But it has soo many customisable options it literally has a setting for every person you just have to find it.

Yes it’s very expensive but if you are ready to play with the different settings and explorer what it has to offer and you like the Gan Feeling than Think no more this is the best you can get.

I have started cubing just few months back. This is my first Gan cube. I will compare this to rs3m. This cube is amazingly very light to turn and feels amazing. I have the soft version, it is very comfortable to hold but it doesn’t have much grip.

I will update this review after some time to compare the grip. Frankly I didn’t experience much improvement in solving time but it feels very comfortable to turn. Just get a RS3m and save money. This cube has some cons, it locks up after 45 degrees and while turning there is some catching up with the edges at the finish of turn.

Overall get this cube for Gan experience rather than for gain in performance.

I have been cubing for 2 years and this was my first magnetic 3×3 cube. Was using a very old Dyan Zanchi till now, the switch from non magnetic to a magnetic cube was just amazing. Just the weightlessness of the gan 11 m pro combined with the strong magnets and the core to corner magnets feels so good to move, the m slices feel like butter.

The corner cutting is exceptional and the cube has not popped even once for me in factory setting, no need to lube it out of the box as of now. The cube is just too good, worth the money I spent on it, still haven’t even gone through the customising option yet, the default settings were good.

Eventually i changes the magnet strength to the highest coz that felt much more stable. Love the cube :D.

I love this thing! When I think of ?upgrades,? my mind usually goes to expensive appliances or fancy cookware, but this little gadget has been a serious improvement in my kitchen. I usually freeze stock in Pyrex containers or Ziploc bags, but not only are the portions often bigger than I need, they have to be defrosted before I can use them.

This solves both of those problems! It?s super easy to pop each cube out of the silicone mold, and I love that I can easily get a smaller amount when that?s all I need. I?m gonna have to buy a few more!.

Despite being a serious kitchen gadget aficionado, I’d been eyeing these for ages because it seemed like a lot for what I thought was the equivalent (albeit larger) of silicone ice cube trays/molds (of which I have several different shapes/sizes).

But thankfully I finally took the plunge and I’m so glad I did. The difference between these and the commonly available silicone vessels just can’t be overstated. They are super sturdy and bigger than you’d expect.

And because of the metal around the top, no worries about the trays flopping when moving them to the freezer when filled. I really can’t overstate how cool and functional they are. I’ve filled them with broth, tomato soup, and more.

And you can bake in them too, as they’re oven safe up to 400 degrees. Last night I made Mac n cheese and filled the molds with the mixture, sprinkled on the topping and baked. After freezing them overnight they popped out super easy and the mold washed up like new.

It opens up an entirely new world in addition to freezing soups and broths in them. Not to mention they’ll make a “Souper cool” Christmas gift for anyone who cooks! :).

This MeiLong M is an excellent cube, it offers stability, a nice feel, overall nice cornercutting, strong magnets. Some of it’s disadvantages are the cube needs a bit of effort to turn, it can’t get super fast, spring noise out of the box, it requires lube right out of the box as it’s VERY dry.

For the price it’s an excellent cube, if you can spend a bit more money you can get the RS3M 2020 with lube, which is also an excellent cube. If you would prefer features such as stability, strong magnets and slightly springy cornercutting, then the MeiLong M is better than the RS3M for you but lubes are necessary, if you would rather prefer speed, smooth cornercutting, weaker magnets, then the RS3M is a perfect choice for you, and it also doesn’t require lube as badly as the MeiLong.

I purchased it in a sale for $5. I think once lubed, its almost a GAN feel without customization. It surpasses rs3m2020 as I think once you find a perfect elasticity, you leave it as it is. So there’s no use of much fancy customization.

That’s the thing with the magnets as well. And with Meilong 3M you get the perfect magnets, perfect elasticity, you can adjust the screw depth with the screw driver that comes with it. At last you get a perfect feel with it (at least once lubed).

It doesn’t eat up lot of lube like the rs3m2020. Great one. Go for it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !.

After lot of use I can safely say this is excellent cube. Initially I gave it a 4 start but now I give it 5 star. Keep tension loose. Buy high viscosity lube and put 2-3 drops and wait for it to break in.

After that it is super smooth and effortless. It becomes smooth with time. Comparision with RS3M 2020: I have lubed it with home items and harmful liquids. It survived. Therefore I’m certain that the quality is the same if not better.

The colors are exactly the same. The plastic may be thinner which contributes to light weight. Only noticeable difference is there is no spring washer & spring tensioning(not required IMHO). The feel is much better than RS3M 2020 IMHO.

It is much lighter. Also stronger magnets allows for stability at looser tension & effectiveness after lubing. Conclusion: If I had to choose one, I’d choose Meilong M over RS3M 2020,.

See I can understand that the cube’s price is wack but this cube is just worth it. I will try my best to describe the cube. It comes with a really smooth turning out of the box with a really fast and unique feel.

It also possesses great corner-cutting. It has decently strong magnets and I feel you don’t need to change the magnets in this for the customization. The magnet strength choice is already very good because of how smooth and light it feels.

I would personally recommend the normal version because of the different GES nuts which you would need because as the cube gets older it requires stronger springs. I would recommend the green springs set on 0.

8 but you can see what suits you better. In short, it is basically a gan x except for way cheaper. I have also used the rs3m 2020 and that cube feels a little slow and sluggish and the magnets feel a little too weak {AT LEAST FOR ME, YOU MAY COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH ME FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE RS3M 2020} but this cube just has it all, It has a smooth feel, really fast turning, magnets are decently strong and the cube feels a lot stable because of that, it has got great corner cutting and it is really light to hold.

This Gan 356m(standard) has its unique “gan” feel and is quite premium. It corner cuts decently and is smooth. Would recommend this cube to apros and beginners alike. It comes with 4 types of ges and i prefer mine on the loose side so i use purple nuts at 0.

6 settings. The cube comes pre-installed with blue ges. It has matte finish that later turns into glossy with breaking in. Out of the box, its nice and buttery smooth.

The GAN 356 M is the Budget option of the GAN cubes even it is a budget cube it offers a premium feeling and I just recommend you to buy the normal version, not the lite version it is not a bad idea to add some extra money to add customizability.

In the normal version, it comes with the Ges nuts, with this unique system you can get the perfect turning feel which suits you. I Just BOught this cube to make it my main. there is no need to buy lubes with it coz it is soo well lubricated.

Sooooo i tottally reccomend it.

This cube is smooth but not that fast as it cannot corner cut but does somewhat reverse corner cutting. Go with qiyi or Moyu for faster one. But, it’s an amazing puzzle. Still liked it.❤️

A excellent performing cube. A must cube and is also cheap. Delivery is also very fast. A quick one if you know 3 by 3 cube already. A nice solving,challenging and innovative cube. Also comes prelubricated.

For years my Rubiks cube 3 x 3 sat unsolved in a box somewhere, with stickers peeling off and dust collecting. So when I had a chance to review the new Rubiks Cube 3×3 for free from Family Rated and Spin Master, I jumped at the chance! The refresh is great.

Same game, but better. The colours are made of plastic and cant peel off (cheaters beware!), and the cube moves freely which is perfect for quick moves and tricks. 2 years ago my then 11 year old step son had a teacher who loved to show his class tricks with the Rubiks Cube (the teacher and his brother were some sort of Rubiks Cube competitors).

My step son went on for weeks about how much fun it was and watched all sorts of videos until he could solve the puzzle. We bought one for him to use at his moms, but it ended up lost and forgotten in a move.

Well he was so excited to play again. Now that hes a teen, he really wants to learn some tricks to show his friends. Best puzzle ever!! The value for the Rubiks Cube 3×3 puzzle is excellent. My family was happy to receive a Rubiks Cube, the Original 3X3 Matching Puzzle from the Spin Master Game Collection. Our 9-year-old son is really getting into puzzle games, and this classic Rubiks Cube is a perfect fit for the 8-year-old and up crowd.

Its a childhood staple. Its a toy, puzzle & game all in one. I remember I couldnt figure out the puzzle when I was a kid, and I still cant. At least not yet. The challenge is real! With 43 quintillion combinations, its a very entertaining puzzle.

I was so excited to receive the Rubixs Cube, The Original 3×3 Colour-Matching Puzzle because I remember playing with it as a kid and it brought back such great memories. Trying to solve the six sided coloured puzzle to get the same coloured cubes on one side was so fun and challenging.

It kept me and my child entertained for hours. It is the perfect size for little hands as well as adults. I was able to get one side solved but havent yet figured out how to solve the entire cube. I have to admit that I may have to get a little help from others to be able to solve the whole thing but I am looking forward to figuring it out.

I would highly recommend this toy for anyone young and old. It keeps your mind sharp while you are having fun!.

This cube has a mixture of things and I think the trade offs are respectable but are a deal breaker. There is an apparent lack of reverse corner cutting which causes a lot of lockups, and the tension settings you’re restricted to using don’t resolve that issue.

However, the cube is by far the most buttery cube I own and is definitely a good cube for precise turners or intermediate solvers. If you’re more particular about how your cubes feel as opposed to aspects like corner cutting and flexibility, then I recommend this cube for a more relaxing and exciting experience.

Assuming everyone knows that it can be configured for spring tension, middle piece distance (play) from the core and edge magnet strength… they are standard fare for flagship cubes now… the key topics here for me are how smooth, quiet and solid this is.

I have been mailing the GAN 11M Pro since it came out and love the core magnets. So, sure, the Tornado V2 does now have corner magnets but it very much makes up for that in stability, smoothness and just how quiet the thing is.

I used a little Dignitas and then some DNM-37, but I really didn’t need to. It turns very well, very fast, is super solid and well, I like it enough to beat out the GAN. Minor gripe is that to change the magnet strength, you need to both sides of each edge piece.

I have tension on 2nd loosest (yellow), play on the loosest (blue), and edge magnets on 4. With lube, the edge magnets snap into place without stopping hand-braking new turns.

This cube is quite a nice cube as it is cheap and looks/feels premium. It has a very nice and soft feel and is quite stable yet fast. There is one major problem that refrains me from recommending this puzzle.

The corner-cutting. Unfortunately, the corner-cutting of this cube is quite bad and frankly, disappointing. I would recommend something else, like an RS3M 2020 as It has a good tensioning system (the tornado has a cool but gimmicky tensioning system) and performance is just amazing.

I believe this cube is just good for collecting.

Honestly I thought it was going to be a gimmick. I purchased 2 yesterday 1 for me and 1 for my friend. Feels very sturdy, has smooth turning and corner cutting. I I’mhave accidently dropped mine on my hardwood floor and it’s perfectly fine.

The thing I love about it is that it’s very sturdy not cheaply made and does not Fall apart like those knockoff brands. Sticker less, yeah it looks like it has stickers but no, in reality it has got colored pieces professionally put together.

Plz buy. Highly recommend this cube.

Sealed in box. Cube is smooth when turning. The pieces doesn’t pop out and remains intact when twisting them quickly. Perfect for speed. Colors are not stickers, so the cube will last for a very long time.

It also has a great display stand for it. This is a top notch original Rubix cube brand. Had to buy 2 for both my kiddos. Grateful for Walmart!.

I like this cube a lot. The changeable GES nuts are a little annoying but they are not too bad. The magnet adjustment is cool. My one problem is that this puzzle sometimes catches when you turn too fast, especially during homegrip f move cornercuts.

Apart from that, brilliant cube.

This 2×2 is SO light! It’s also really fast and the corner cutting is what you would expect of a gan cube. It’s quite unstable, however so I’ll be looking at getting either the leap or pro version. Also, the cube didn’t come with any extra GES nuts, only the blue ones already in the cube.

the gan 356 RS wasnt worth the price. it was just like any other cube. the lubricant dried up after a day, and i honestly dont know whether it was worth that price despite not having magnets. it was my first gan cube, and i honestly expected more.

overall, good cube, but not worth the price.

This cube is among the best cubes I have tried yet. Corner cutting is amazing. Even without magnets, it performs really good. However, adding magnets does the real charm. It improves the performance by an exponential degree.

I highly recommend it to anyone. Especially if you are a fan of GAN cubes, go for it.

My cube got delivered today (18/01/2021), and the cube was smooth and clean right out of the box. Never Expected that a Non-Magnetic cube would work too well. This is really a nice budget cube, I would really recommend you to buy this if you want to start speed cubing.

No longer has the stickers like the old original. I like that much better. The movement is kinda wonky but overall its very functional. An old classic that will never get old

I am so glad my 5th grade son likes to play and spend lots of time. I believe this is much better than electric devices/games. When he started it about two months ago, he took so many hours to solve one face.

Now he can do in several minutes to solve 6 faces. Amazing toy. He leaned he can do something he couldn’t after so many trials/practices. There are so many fake ones, I mean cheap one. They don’t work well and break easily.

I recommend this real one to try.

Most durable of the cubes. Rubik has also made their new cube faster. A great leaner cube. If you decide to continue cubing once you’ve solved this one a few times, then you’ll want to buy a “speedcube” version of this puzzle.

Same puzzle, yet faster turning for quicker solve times. Speed cubes do have stickers that come off. Rubik’s colored sides are solid plastic and much more durable.
