The bike we ordered seemed to take a while to ship and there was limited communication from Firmstrong until we contacted them asking when it would ship since the bike was “in stock” according to the site.

As mentioned above, the rear fender arrived with a large scratch and was bent on the end, the bike chain guard was bent and rubbing against the chain so I had to manually bend it back, the main frame has a large scratch and the handle bar brace was scratched.

Plus the seat seems to be angled and not straight on the mount. I sent photos to Firmstrong right after opening the box to show them all the damage and haven’t heard back yet. Might return the bike and wont buy from them again.

Interestingly enough, this is our 3rd bike from Firmstrong. First one was ordered on amazon and it arrived 2 days later without any issues. 2nd bike was ordered from Beachbikes site and no problems with the bike either.

Only the bike we ordered directly from Firmstrong arrived damaged.

I LOVE this bicycle! At 59 years of age, it’s the easiest to shift and most comfortable bicycle I’ve ever ridden! I’m up to riding it 10 miles and would highly recommend it! Who knew Bed, Bath, and Beyond sold bikes! I received my order so fast and with free shipping I couldn’t be more pleased! I love absolutely everything about this bike from the color to the ride.

This is my second Firmstrong Urban bike. My first was a one speed, and though I loved it and it was perfect for riding around my community, I also would go out on 20 mile rides through park and preserve land where having a three speeds would help with days of higher wind or when I was off a paved path.

Love my new three speed even more!.

We ordered two sixthreezero “Around the Block” cruisers (24” and a 26”, 3-speeds) to keep at our parents’ house in sunny Florida. The bikes look very sharp in navy and matte black. Even though they showed as PreOrder when we placed the order on their website, they shipped quick and showed up in just 7-8 days! Assembly was largely problem-free with one exception: the corner of one of the boxes had a small hole in it which allowed the bolt for the seat clamp to escape.

Since time was of the essence, we just picked up a new bolt from the hardware store. (The “tool” they provide in the box suffices, but just barely really. I’d recommend pulling out some real tools — hex keys, crescent wrench, ideally pedal wrench — if you have them.

) Having 3-speeds is really nice for the occasional small hill (or wind in our face) or when a bit of extra speed is wanted. We didn’t install the racks right away, but probably will in the future. The ride is *very* smooth and cushiony.

Nice! These bikes look and feel quality, and are perfect for popping over to the pool or for lazy rides to nowhere in particular.

I purchased an Around the Block, 7-speed bike for my wife. I have to say that it was a great choice for her. I wasn’t scared of the fact that you have to assemble the bike but was dreading the process.

I have to say that the entire assembly procedure was easy. Much of the bike is preassembled. The accompanying assembly booklet is well organized and instructions are very clear on what to do and pointing out the pitfalls to watch out for with certain steps.

But I found the online assembly video most helpful, being able to listen to and see the step as it was being done. Being able to stop the video and complete the step was very helpful. All in all, assembly was a piece of cake! Quality: first rate construction.

Comfort: my wife loves the bike and how it feels. Color choices: very cool! It’s very comfortable on long rides. The 7 speeds come in handy for hills. Shifting is a breeze, very smooth and quick. I would highly recommend this company for any of its products!.

As someone who actually bought this bike from Walmart and had the whole buying and assembling experience as opposed to all of the other reviews who were part of a promotion, I would not buy this bike again.

Buying a bike from Walmart is insanely awful! I made the mistake of trying to buy a bike on the same trip as groceries, thinking that an employee would help me get it to my car especially as I have small children.

The only remotely helpful person in the entire store was the man who got it out of the stock room for me. And there were no assembled bikes in the store so I did not get to try it first. It says it is for 5 ft 2 and up but I am 5 ft 3 and it is too big! It also was not assembled and though the actual bike tags say that they will put it together for free, they do NOT! In the past I have put together plenty of furniture even with IKEA instructions without any problems so I didnt think that this could be that difficult.

but I was once again wrong. it was! The instructions are not specific for the bike you buy so there are sections that do not even apply and the pictures only show small sections, not how it fits in the big picture.

It took hours!!! And the seat is still wonky and will not stay straight. If I received the bike fully assembled and bought it from a store with employees who actually wanted to work while at their jobs then it would probably be a 4 star bike but the buying experience was not worth the money saved!.

I have been riding a Burnett bike. I love the bike sitting lower. I am able adjust my feet to extend fully for the pedals and have much needed support/stability for my feet when stopped. While I have rear baskets preventing me from easily moving my leg over the seat, the lower frame would allow much easier mounting that way.

I like the crossbar sloping down more for my Huffy so than my old Burnett. This makes it much easier stepping through and off the Huffy. The bike/fenders all were very sound. I perhaps felt a somewhat lower gear ratio on the huffy, perhaps making going uphill ever slightly easier, not sure.

Oh, lol; it may be good for those writing instructions for assembly to 1, inform the customer the left pedal thread is “left hand” or turn to left to tighten. 2. Inform the customer how new tubes may need to be filled less than optimum at first and ridden a short while to keep tube from bulging the tire out.

I bought this for my daughter (Christmas 2021). At first, she loved it. However, last night on our ride I noticed a clicking noise when she peddled. Later in the night, I found the noise coming from the hub so I took it apart and found almost no grease in the hub.

So I cleaned it, greased it, and reassembled. Its a little better but still a little noisy. I am concerned there is permanent damage and the cost of a hub will be greater than the entire bike. Its a pity she only rode it regularly for about a week now.

The packaging was good. The bike showed up relatively intact. The assembly instructions were terrible. There was one bolt missing, that was needed for attaching the front fender. There were no instructions for attaching the fender.

I figured it out by looking at the pictures. There was also a u-shaped item that I realized (also from pictures) was needed to protect the rear gears. It was a challenge to install and again there were no instructions.

There was an additional metal piece at the bottom of the handlebars, which I believe is to help with the basket. Again, no instructions or context and it’s not in the photos either so I *think* I have it oriented correctly but I’m not really sure.

In addition the front fender is slightly warped, but not enough to come in contact with the tire so maybe it won’t matter. I tried the online chat and didn’t really get a response. The phone chat was more helpful.

They gave me the specs of the missing bolt and refunded the price of it, after I bought it myself. If I weren’t relatively mechanically handy, I think I would have rated this only 2 stars, because it would have been very frustrating.

That being said, I have taken the bike out for a test ride and I do like it. It is very comfortable, easy to adjust, and easy to shift. The bike showed up quickly as well. I also purchased the optional basket and it’s perfect.

I love my bike! Athough I didn’t love the lack of instructions for assembly. Nor did I love the transport company that ripped the cardboard on the main box at the top causing the small box inside to lose some screws and break one of the clip-on reflectors.

Not worth contacting bikesonline about getting replacements as I live in remote QLD. Having said that, the bike is great. The bike size is perfect for a middle aged active woman, but the seat could be a little softer.

Ha. Maybe put in an option for a variety of seats as a suggestion. I am very happy with my purchase though.

Overall I am pleased with the bikes performance. I wanted a lightweight bike, that looks good and is super easy to ride for longer periods of time. The packaging was decent, the quality of the bike tool was a nice touch.

My rear tyre guard was dented and unfortunately the rear tyre would not pump up at all due to the tube. I was not overly concerned as it cost me AUD$25 to fix the tyre at the local bike shop. The dented guard still remains, but has no effect of the ride The instructions were difficult and I am still not sure if the basket on the front is correct.

Even with the things mentioned, I will look to buy another of the same bike very soon for myself as it was a gift.

I never knew I would enjoy riding a bicycle this much! I hadn’t ridden a bike in years so this experience has made me feel young, wild free again! The Avondale also has a faint nostalgic design coupled with modern, updated features so it has a sort of retro vibe.

Definitely such an adorable bicycle and very well put together! It was comfortable and a very smooth ride. Only thing I did not enjoy was putting the bike together haha! Majority of the work was done already, but the few finishing touches nearly broke me (and my nails)! Overall the experience was fun! I am enjoying exploring new bike trails traveling the city on my Kent bike!.

I’ve been looking for an all-white cruiser for a while, and they’re harder to come by than you imagine. Most are far too expensive. This one is truly perfect! It’s simple and delicate. I love the basket is already attached and comes with it.

So now I don’t have to worry about purchasing one on my own. But, best of all, the 7-speeds on a cruiser might be without a doubt my favorite aspect. Very satisfied!.

I wanted to love this bike but the first one I ordered cane damaged. Rims were bent and brakes did not work correctly. I was sent a replacement and the second one had bent rims as well. Returning both and ordering another brand.

Very disappointed.

This is a great “looking” bike. Classy color in the Champagne pink. With a few nice “features” like the iphone holder and cup holder. However, it is frought with problems. First off is the fact that the chain rubs against the tire, creating drag on the wheel, and likely to cause a hole in the tire.

Once that was fixed, at least temporarily, we found that the there is significant drag on the brakes and they don’t stop well. Of the 7 gears, only 3 of the five would work to actually change the pedaling pressure to make it easier to go up hills.

(And even then the change in gear pressure wasn’t significant enough to make a difference in the pedaling. ) My husband brought it to a bike mechanic to get these items fixed and then we noticed there is a significant “wobble” in the wheels.

We followed a u-tube video to “true” the spokes, which helped but when I look down at the tires while riding, I noticed the front wheel still wobbles. Not sure of the significance of the wobble on performance, but something tells me it’s not right.

I haven’t decided whether to keep it yet, as I need a bike but I am tired of buying them and dealing with all of the problems. My impression of the Schwinn’s I bought at Walmart and this Kent bike is that they are a bunch of parts that aren’t meant to go together.

Parts are manufactured outside the US and I don’t think that there is any engineer overseeing the quality exists for a working and reliable bike exists. I hope Walmart starts seeing these reviews and puts some pressure on the manufacturers.

I purchased this bike at the end of April and absolutely love the look, it’s so cute!! I’ve been really disappointed about the amount of issues I have had. The front wheel shakes when riding, the chain falls off when it goes into first gear, all the reflectors have fallen off.

The bike is currently stuck in 7th gear and I cannot get it back down. It’s been too much work for the amount I paid and it only being 2months old. It’s been rode maybe 10 miles because there’s always an issue that pops up when I get going.

I’m sad I’m going to have to end up returning it! I would recommend this bike moving forward but to be very cautious when buying it.

The reason it got 2 stars is because my daughter loves it. She loves the rack on the back, the basket and the overall appearance. Otherwise I would be giving this a one star review. Putting it together was a nightmare.

The instructions are terrible!!!! There is not inventory list in the instruction booklet. So I had no way of checking I had everything. Putting it together I discovered I was missing the nut and bolt that secures the front bumper at the top of the fork.

And the 2 bolts that were supposed to be used to secure the front bumper to the front wheel hub were to big. I was able to find a nut and bolt for the top of the fork to help support the basket but we had to leave the front bumper off.

Today is day two of my daughter riding the bike. The seat came loose and fell. I can’t totally blame the bike on this as I may not have tightened it enough. However, the chain also fell off. She literally rode it for about 2 minutes yesterday when she got it for her birthday.

Then today down the street to her friends house. Luckily I bought the warranty for it and if we continue to have issues with it then I will be returning it.

Although a good amount of the bike is assembled, you may spend some time guessing how to complete it. Some parts are typical and obvious like pedals, seat, and handlebars. But good luck guessing if you have enough screws and nuts for things like the fenders and basket.

There is no parts list because the maker sends you a general bike assembly booklet. Overall the bike quality is eh. The packing is terrible. A couple of zip ties and some foam paper, and an average cardboard box, so my bike showed up with a crushed box, ripped seat, bent fender and hardware bag torn open and missing parts.

Be prepared to assemble the bike and (most importantly) you will need your own tools. I have put together many bikes (electric ones as well) and can tell you that the handle bar and the chair failed miserably.

The bike was for my 16 yr old daughter and the 1st day out, the chair basically tilted back all the way and the handle bar went forward to the point the bike was un-rideable. I not only tightened all the nuts and bolts correctly when I 1st put it together but did it again when she came home only to have it happen again on both handlebar and seat.

That’s when I knew the bike was garbage and returned it. Pay a little more and get a bike that will not fall apart l.

A nightmare to asseble. The instructions are for all models so it’s hard to figure out which pieces are relevant and the images used are for a different bicycle. It shows a picture of tools you may need, but doesn’t give you the size of the Allen/Hex key you’ll need, which I didn’t have (and I have a box full of them), nor does it include any tools (usually allen keys are included!).

Two of the pre-assembled screws that have to removed during assembly were warped into place and I (along with 4 other people) could not get off. Both the front and rear fender/bumpers were badly dinted and mis-shaped so much that one wouldn’t even allow the wheel to spin under it without catching.

After assembling the seat and tighting the screws as much as humanly possible (there’s no way to use a drill), the seat still wobbs uncontrollably. The good thing is that the flower decals were easy to remove, making it look much classier.

Overall, it’s a beautiful bike but just not functional since I can’t properly asseble it and the quality was so poor.

The bike does come in several parts and though its not difficult to put together it is also not simple and easy, it also requires several tools, ratchets , wrenches, screw drivers, alan wrench’s. It took me about an hour to put it together and it was a bit of a pain in the A55.

Also keep in mind you will still have to put air in the tires before it can be ridden. I had all the tools and a work bench but again it does come in several parts. The bike was worth the price and the assembly but it wasn’t a simple, quick and easy 10 minuet project.

We purchased this bike for our 14 year old daughter. The bike arrived in about 1 week and was partly assembled. We had no mishaps with parts and assembly instructions were easy to follow. Our daughter also loves the bike! Overall.

It is a very cute bike. Came in good condition. The rear part was already assembled. The front wheel and fender, handlebar and stem, basket, seat and post, front reflector, bottle and phone holder, and peddles had to be put together; which required a Phillips screwdriver, a couple sizes of hex wrenches, and a couple of adjustable wrenches for the nuts and bolts.

It came with a detailed user manual, that includes a lot of tips, suggestions, and it was very educational for me. The bike works well, it feels like a good quality. And I like the more upright posture I am able to have with a cruiser style bike.

In my opinion, as an adult who is learning how to ride a bike for the first time, I think it might be a little easier learning to ride on a bike with hand brakes instead of a coaster brake, since a few people have let me try other style bikes now.

And this bike is a bit heavier than I thought it would be, come to find out that is common for cruiser bikes. But overall, it is very good for what it was designed to be, and it is pretty comfortable.
