First, I see a lot of reviews complaining this mascara is hard to take off which has me laughing. Waterproof formulations SHOULD be difficult to take off without the right eye makeup remover otherwise (hello!) the mascara would smudge over the course of the day.

If you can’t get on board with the removal process simply stop using this one – there are plenty of non-waterproof mascaras out there for you. Because I’m really active and live in a humid environment, I have sworn by waterproof mascara since high school (I’m now in my late 20s).

I’ve tried a lot of different mascaras over the years and the best, most long-lasting ones tend to be manufactured by luxury makeup brands and cost upwards $27 for a single tube. This mascara blows them all out of the water and is less than a third of the price.

And on top of that, it is vegan, cruelty free, and made with clean ingredients! I don’t know how you do it but you’ve found a loyal convert for life. Please don’t discontinue this product.

I have been using Covergirl mascaras since I was a teen. But as I have gotten older, I have developed allergies. With those allergies I have stopped using many beauty products and even change my diet.

I tried other mascara brands and the irritation on my eyes was just unbearable. I even started getting eyelash extension because I couldn’t use mascara. But with eyelash extensions came a lot of issues with my natural lashes falling out and thinning out.

So, I was in a situation where I was out of options. But when I saw this new cleaner vegan mascara option from Covergirl I knew I had to try it. Thank goodness I did because this mascara has changed my life! My eyes do not burn or itch at all.

My eyelashes have grown longer and fuller naturally and I love it!!! I use this mascara daily, and I remove it with just soap and water. No messy stains or harsh scrubbing needed. I highly recommend this mascara to anyone that has allergies or issues with mascaras in the past.

[brand:essence] Amazing for the price! I’d heard a lot of hype about the lash princess mascara line so couldn’t wait to try one for myself. I chose the Sculpted volume (purple one) as I liked the shape of the wand and the claims of the mascara – and this is a super affordable drugstore option.

I have medium length lashes so I like a mascara that provides volume and separates the lashes – lengthening is a bonus. The mascara claims to provide “dramatic volume and defined lashes. stunning eye-opening effect”.

The mascara is on the wetter side and applies a lot of product to the lashes. 2-3 coats provides insane length, curling and volume to the lashes! I really like the curved wand which follows the natural curve of the eye – it makes the mascara really easy to apply.

You do need to be careful as the wetter formula can get messy pretty quickly and I often find some smudging once it’s been applied – you need to wait some time because it takes a while to dry down. It’s really easy to just wipe away with a tissue/cue tip.

The mascara provides volume and length. You need to be careful as the wand does apply a lot of product and it can get clumpy – I like to use a clean spoolie to separate the lashes once the mascara is applied.

I’ve never experienced any flaking. I do get a small amount of transfer on my upper eye lid/brow but as I have oily lids I experience this with almost all mascaras. It wipes off easily so this isn’t a deal breaker for me.

It provides volume which lasts all day, even when I work a 13 hour shift. Overall 4ï¸ âƒ£/5ï¸ âƒ£ – you can’t beat the quality of this mascara for the price, and I’m definitely buying this one again! I’m giving it a 4 because you do need to be careful when you’re applying it.

I’ve been using this mascara for couple of years. Definitely gives volume and thick lashes. Use curler if u have straight lashes cause even though this one gives volume but after 3-4 hours definitely they would fall lil straight but still your lashes would be prominent.

Whenever I’m not wearing makeup, I wear mascara and it instantly makes them look open and awaken. It’s more on thicker, chunkier side like it’s sister green one. I like both. For comparison I’ve added both with their wands.

This one has curved wand which makes lashes more Curley. Green one on the other hand glides smooth. But you can see I have so many purple ones. I don’t mind thick chunky lashes. This one isn’t waterproof and can get dry quickly so make sure you seal it tight.

No fall outs. Budget Friendly. I would highly recommend this👍🏻.

I am scared to use many beauty products today because of the ingredients. This one seemed okay, at least better than a lot of others in terms of formulation. It was pricey but I was willing to try it if it was natural and at least a decent performing product.

This mascara performs horribly. I thought I had used bad mascaras in the past, but nothing compares to the extreme unavoidable clump and annoyance that this is to apply every time. Not to mention, it leaves tiny irritated bumps under my lashline every time i use it.

No other mascara has caused that. I don’t even wear makeup often anymore, and still every time I use it it is such a pain that is not worth it, even occasionally. I do not have words to describe how frustrating, irritating, and just ugly this mascara is.

I feel like it literally makes me look worse than before. So clumpy and weighs down lashes so that they just lay flat. I gave it multiple fair shots, I tried very hard to like it because of the formulation.

I’m sure it could work for someone out there, I’m not sure how, but for me it has not been worth it at all. I have had better experience making my own with coconut oil and corn husk ash (you can imagine how that was, not great, but it did better than this stuff) Save your money and keep looking.

This stuff is truly awful. I wouldn’t recommend this to my enemies.

I really wanted to love this. In theory it’s perfect; a lasy primer and mascara in one, and EWG ceritifed so I know it’s *really* clean! But I ended up returning it. The primer is kind of difficult to get out, you really have to scrape inside the tube.

And the mascara wans has such tiny bristles that are so close together that it’s almost impossible NOT to get clumps. I even used an eyebrow spoolie to try and separate. I do like the lift the mascara gives, but by the end of the day it’s all over the skin below my eyes, and I only put the mascara on my upper lashes.

Going back to Pacific’a Stellar Gaze, which has the best brush for big and soft natural lashes that don’t clump or give me raccoon eyes!.

I have seen this several time on Caroline Barnes speed beauty YouTube Chanel. Caroline has said several times how good she thinks it is so I decided to try it. Caroline is right! This is the best mascara I have used and I absolutely love it.

The brush is small and is perfect for my fairly sparse and short lashes. The primer is cleverly built in the tube so that storing is easier. The primer does thicken you lashes and the mascara itself is perfect, the consistency, longevity of wear and the fact that it doesn’t fake after a day of wear or smudge is excellent.

My lashes look full and long. I can’t recommend this mascara enough.

The store was out of stock of my regular Covergirl mascara (Lashblast Fusion) so I decided to get this one in the interim. I do not like it. The formula is much runnier and somehow gets all over my eyelid when putting it on (not a problem I’ve ever encountered before).

My eyelashes get all clumpy because it goes on super thick and wet no matter how much I rub off the brush before applying. It is waterproof as advertised, but so waterproof I cannot get it off my eyelashes.

I use an oil based remover and used four cotton balls per eye loaded up with remover last night, and I still went to bed with mascara on because it would *not* come off. It got to the point where the cotton swabs weren’t even darkened in colour after rubbing until my eyelids stung, it wasn’t removing anything.

Never had this problem with other mascaras. Very disappointed. Will be going back to my regular mascara and chucking this nearly full tube out.

I am obsessed with the Clean Lash Blast, so I had to try out the regular Lash Blast mascara from CoverGirl. Honestly? It looks exactly how the Clean Lash Blast looks, very natural. Gives a nice your lashes, but better, sort of look.

Makes my lashes look long, separated and fluttery without any clumping or like I am wearing mascara. Perfect if you want something more natural but still want nice looking lashes. I personally don’t like it when mascaras look super dramatic, so this is perfect for me.

I don’t have a preference between the Clean Lash Blast and this one, I love how both look and wear. You also don’t need to get both, because of how similar they are.

From the moment I tried Lash Princess Green I’ve been a fan. I stood in the back of the line when lush, long, thick lashes were handed out and so definitely need help. Help is what you’ll get from this mascara and goooood! My lashes look twice, if not thrice as long and they’ll even have some volume go ‘up’ a tad (Yeah, I know, weird, but I have a slight lash curler phobia, never use one).

It is also easy to apply, no spider legs, nor needing 3 coats to get results. 1 dip per eye and I suddenly look alive. and even decent!! The price for this great mascara is ridiculously low too. €3, something (Tip: if you decide to like it, get a backup in buying round 2.

In my drugstore it is either always sold out or with just 1 or 2 remaining. ) Performs better than some high end ones I tried. If there’s one thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars, it’s that the emulsion is – how to say it – a little ‘dry-ish’.

It feels ‘stiffer’ somehow than other mascaras and you can notice that with application even though it still runs smooth – therefore hard to explain. Maybe this is why it makes my lashes quite hard when dry.

A lot of mascaras do that though, but one of my other favourites (L’Oréal Collagen 24hrs volume mascara) makes them feel soft and pliable, so I’m “ruined” because of that ;). They’ve not broken because of it yet – important to note since I’ve been using this 6+ years now -, so it could be just me whining over nothing.

A. k. a nitpicking. I’ve nothing more to say. Just go try it. but only the black Lash Princess with green lettering. The others are rubbish imho.

I’ve been sitting on getting this one for awhile, but I finally had to throw away Better Than Sex and I was on a budget. I HIGHLY recommend this mascara, especially if you’re on a budget. I would also recommend using an eyelash separator.

That’s my only issue besides the wand being a little big (but I have an issue with most mascara wands regarding that; I have to use mini brushes or be careful). I used length because that’s what I was going for, and it’s GREAT.

I can’t wear falsies because constant facial spasms (I have a neurological condition) caused my right eyelid to change texture/elasticity, so I HAVE to use mascara since even magnetic eyelashes do not stick on.

I recommend this to anyone from beginners, people on a budget, to people who don’t care either way. It makes your eyelashes long. I will say, I noticed that it didn’t stay curled when I was in California for an anime convention (I am mostly Native American, so my hair doesn’t hold the best curl), but that’s nothing that a quick eyelash curler can’t fix.

People in more humid places might have to recurl if they have straight lashes like mine The pictures are of my face with one eye done (one eye with Lash Princess, one without, no curler), lashes without Lash Princess, and lashes WITH Lash Princess.

I have tried a lot of mascaras over the years because I love a thick long bold lash. I’ve tried more expensive ones and a million drugstore ones. Someone gave me this mascara years ago to try and I haven’t use anything else since, and never will! I pair this with white lash primer before applying, and I constantly am asked what kind of mascara I use and/or if my lashes are fake.

Seriously, like once a month. And trust me I do not have long or thick lashes at all. I’m also really lazy and hate removing eye makeup, but this removes so easily while it lasts all day (I remove with micellar water and only need one cotton pad).

Even though this isn’t waterproof, I haven’t had issues with smudging or smearing unless I use I use my thick zinc oxide sunscreens in the summer. even then it’s minimal. I have really bad allergies and my eyes water all the time so I used to religiously use waterproof mascara until this because it somehow manages to stay.

I haven’t tried their waterproof yet, but I plan to for those summer days when I slather on the thick oily sunscreen. Long story short, believe all the hype and buy it right now. It’s sorcery.

The white version of this…. Yes white…. is interesting. This is White Mascara (not primer, tried using it as a primer but that was not possible since my black wouldn’t cover the white). I bought it because I thought it would be funny to see how I looked with white lashes and it was only $6.

I do think it applies easily and has good coverage (your lashes will be white!). My only con was that it seemed to take a little while to dry and I could see the white when I blinked or looked in certain directions and that was trippy.

Honestly, such a fun and cool mascara. Maybe for Halloween to be frosty or something.

I’ve used every mascara out there and rarely am I impressed. I have used Better Than Sex, Man-eater, you name it. This mascara hangs fairly close to those but for less than half the price. It knocks similar priced grocery store brands out of the park though.

It is pigmented, and fans and curls nicely without being goopy. It also doesn’t dry out or flake throughout the day which is nice. Someone formulas are irritating, but after almost a week of use, I have zero complaints!.

Guys, first of all this stuff is overrated. Get the Lash Princess one in the Peach tube, that one is miles better for the reasons I’m gonna state later. With this particular one, this thing is runny and gets smudged like crazy.

If you accidentally get it on your lids or on your skin, it takes wayyy too long to dry up before you can use a spoolie to scratch it off. And it will stain. It also gets all over your eyes so easily no matter how careful you are.

Honestly super annoying. Second of all, this thing dries so slowly that if you spray setting spray afterwards it will run down your face and give you raccoon eyes. I know I should’ve covered my eyes before using setting spray but the peach tube didn’t smudge one me at all without covering my eyes so.

It doesn’t do as good as a job of lengthening my lashes like the peach one, and it actually holds my lashes down :/ And for the girlies who cry a lot in therapy (like myself), this mascara’s gonna run down your face.

If you cry a lot, get the peach one. You can rub your eyes and cry all you want and the only thing it will do is get rubbed away but NEVER leave your face with black streaks. This green one is overrated as heck, get the peach one.

i like that this mascara has a drier consistency compared to other mascaras i’ve tried. it dries fairly quickly. and of course, it made my lashes appear a LOT longer than they actually are. as someone with asian lashes (which tend to be completely straight, short, and slope downwards), this mascara really helped make them appear so much longer.

and it’s affordable price is another win! on the other hand, the mascara isn’t one i use a lot. the main reason being that i have generally oily skin, and the mascara leaves me with total racoon eyes.

i know there’s a waterproof version of this, but the formula of this version just hasnt really worked out for me. it never seemed to hold curl for me either, but that’s most likely because my lashes are naturally straight and slope downwards.

as you can see in the photo, it’s pretty banged up since ive had this tube for years LOL. i just use it here and there just to give my upper lashes a slightly thicker look. in short, i dont think this mascara is for me.

but i do believe it can work for someone with skin that is more on the normal/dry side!.

I’d never been super loyal to mascaras until I found some I really like. I lean toward a brown or black brown and the first time I tried this version years and years ago it was the only brown color mascara in stock.

Fast forward to just a few years ago, rushing to work and realized I forgot to put on mascara! I usually carry a small travel size one now (a sample or something just in case that happens again). I stopped by a drugstore and saw this one, knew I liked it and went for it.

I don’t have really long lashes or anything but I’ve never had a mascara that didn’t lengthen quite a bit anyway so I reach for the volume ones. This one does it all for me. Not hard to come off and doesn’t bleed into my lower lash line.

Gives great volume but also length without clumping. It’s not super wet/transfers everywhere/too heavy to hold a curl. The wand is a bit bigger than my ideal preference, I wish it could be the size it is but the tip a little smaller.

And the tube is big/takes up space. Those cons are so minor for me, I know this will always be a great option. ** And Covergirl has been leaping bunny certified since 2018. Love CG!.

I’ve used this since I was in 6th grade and every time I try a new mascara I come back to this. I have thin blonde eyelashes but they’re pretty full when they’re visible. The brush picks up every hair and the silicone bristles really let you get to the root.

Admittedly I am a natural makeup kinda gal but I find it to be very buildable and gives really nice length and color. It stays on for a long time without smudging but comes off easily (I use oil based remover and a makeup removing cloth).

I use the black-brown shade and don’t like waterproof mascaras. I recently tried the essence lash princess in comparison to this and did not like it at all. Closest comparison I’ve found is Glossier lash slick but they only have it in black :(.

Long lasting and doesn’t flake. This mascara is a 10/10 it you’re looking for length and wear time. It gets 5 stars from me! because It helps my lashes look thicker but it kind of pushes some together making them look a little sparse.

I still like it though and will repurchase because it lasts all day! It’s important to note that this is hard to get off. I have to scrub with a good cleanser, normal makeup remover or micellar water won’t do the trick.

I purchased the CoverGirl non water-resistant clump crusher mascara for the first time recently and I am a fan. I do not mind the green packaging, although another color would be more sleek. I use this product a couple times during the week.

The mascara wand does not create clumps of mascara on your eyelashes and lives up to its name! When first opening the mascara tube, I did think it was faulty due to the scent and the less amount of product that the wand was picking up.

Since initially opening the tube, the scent no longer seems expired and the wand has been picking up more product however in comparison to other mascaras it is much less – due to the mascara being a “clump crusher,” less product is picked up.

The stopper in the tube prevents the mascara wand from picking up excess product. This mascara is great for lengthening and separating lashes. However the mascara itself does not create much volume to my lashes.

This mascara is good to pair with a mascara that creates more volume.

I want what everyone wants out of a mascara, good curl hold, no smudges or flacks. This mascara gives me that and more! I have VERY sensitive eyes and this does not irritate them whatsoever. And here is the crazy part, it is easy to remove when YOU want to remove it.

Because of my sensitive eyes I can use any eye makeup removers and excessive rubbing is a no go. This doesn’t require any of that but stays in place all day! My lashes are long and voluminous and look great all day.

Seriously, just try it!.

I loved the colored mascaras that were available way back in the 80s, and I’m very happy to see colors making a comeback. I got the green to compliment my summertime teal hair. It is a subtle and dark green, but it’s there.

(I will be trying the blue, when I go back to my winter blue hair. ) The mascara lasted just fine through my work day (I work in an office situation), but I see it would be problematic if I had a more sweat-inducing job, wore it to the gym, or wore it to go dancing.

How about doing these in a waterproof formula, elf? Also, I would love to see a purple added to the line, and maybe a black-cherry color. As for the big brush, it does take some getting used to. I use the waterproof Big Mood formula in black, and have since it came out, and, frankly, I felt like a kid using those chunky toddler crayons at first.

I hated it. And I made a mess of it. Practice made perfect, though, and now I love the big wand – It holds a ton of product in it’s teddy-bear-like bristles, and I can really build my lashes up to incredible fullness and length, without the dreaded tarantula-leg clumping.

So, ladies, I recommend practicing with the brush before you decide you hate it forever.

Can we first acknowledge how Elf nails the game while remaining so affordable?? I mean, c’mon. It is so easy to end up with a disaster when trying to find a drug store mascara that hits all of the marks for your dream mascara.

I wasn’t expecting much from this one but I was pleasantly surprised by it’s performance. I’m an oily gal; eye makeup runs into my eyes and mascara burns them all of the time. This is the biggest thing I look for in mascaras (I do not like waterproof mascaras) this formula did not give me that issue.

This is a drier formula, no issues with transfer or flaking. It’s a big, hourglass shaped wand packed with bristles. It’s meant to help separate and add volume to your lashes. It did do that for me and I did not have any issues applying them to my bottom lashes but I am very patient when applying mascara and some with mobility issues may run into some difficulty.

Overall I would say this is a safe option for me in times where I need something and don’t want to break the bank but it’s missing a wow factor (for me). It was almost there. Mascara I feel is a very personal item to give feedback but everyone is after different things and everyone’s lashes behave differently; keep that in mind when sifting through reviews.

I received this product free to review from Top Box. Elf’s Big Mood mascara is more like a Big Disappointment. The only *big* thing about this product is the obnoxiously large mascara wand that you have to use.

The brush is larger than your eyes, which makes it extremely difficult to work with, especially when trying to reach your corner lashes. It takes about 3 applications of the mascara to get any lift and volume.

It’s unfortunate that the downfall of this product is the mascara wand. The formula itself is nice, and the metallic purple packaging is very pretty. The lash definition alone is wonderful, and creates a perfect, wispy lash for a no-makeup makeup look.

I think the best way to apply this product is to use your regular mascara for volume, then to apply this mascara on top for lash separation. However, don’t wear this mascara on a rainy day or during a sad movie.

pros: 1. very affordable 2. truly waterproof cons: where to begin lol. 1. the wand is one of those that has virtually zero bristles, pretty much just a stick with grooves. it does not grip lashes at all and the formula makes this wand type problematic.

2. the formula is a whole other animal. it is so inky, to the point where the faintest blink or fidget will send a dot of it flying to your eyelid or under eye or whatever, which wouldn’t be that big of a deal of it wasn’t impossible to remove from skin.

wiping it causes it to smudge and stain, and since it’s waterproof you can just dab it off with a wet q tip either. also, it claims to be a lengthening mascara but as it delivers no curl and actually clumps to the point of weighing my lashes down, the mascara leaves me with fat little stubs for eyelashes.

it takes forever to dry and is not buildable either. once it’s dry, it is chemically bonded to your eyelashes and will go with you to the grave. if that is very important to you, perhaps you could make this product work employing and eyelash curler and much caution, but it’s not for me.

maybe the non waterproof version suits the formula better. I have not been able to get this off using my regular (cetaphil daily) cleanser. I’ve been literally having to rub it off between my fingertips LOL.

I’m guessing you’d need an oil based cleanser to remove? anyway, if you’re looking for a product that would be just like dipping your lashes in black cement, look no further.

I would like to preface this with I got this accidentally because I didn’t know it was waterproof. My initial impression of this was it really elongated my lashes. That night I went to remove it with micellar water and it didn’t budge.

My micellar water says it even removes waterproof mascara. Well, not this waterproof mascara. I went to wash my face and it still didn’t budge. I washed my face 2 or 3 times and it didn’t come off. I started accepting that I would grow old in this mascara and it would become part of me.

I felt like I would get married with this mascara on, have my children while wearing it, see those kids off to college all while this mascara was still on my eyelashes. My eyelashes looked good so I wasn’t that mad.

Micellar water, salicylic acid, and dove body wash all did not get this mascara off. Dowsing my eyelashes with warm water did not get any of it off. I remembered I have jojoba oil and used that and then it finally came off.

All of that being said my eyelashes looked good. They were very long and had no clumps. And if you want a waterproof mascara that works, this is the one. And at the price it can’t be beat.

Absolutely fabulous! I have okay lashes but they are straight and don’t lift, all mascara smudges around my eyes I’ve tried everything!! And of it doesn’t smudge it clumps I’ve just given up. UNTILL NOW! THIS MASCARA lifts ! Curls! Incredible staying power it drys down perfectly.
