Best Crock Pot Recipe Book (2026 Updated)

I usually use slow cooker for meat dishes, never thought about using it for veggie dishes as they don’t take long anyway. But so pleased I bought it… a good variety of lovely recipes.

Keep in mind this is for AMERICAN readers – not all ingredients are avilable elsewhere and the measures ar all US standard. Apart from that, with the righjt conversion tables and a little imagination EVERYONE can use it.

An easy to use recipe book in excellent condition.

When you come home from a hard day at work, or even “Zooming” all over the place, you should only have to care for your pet(s) and open a nice drink. take the lid off of the pot and enjoy comfort food.

This is an excellent book, with explanations of why certain recipe steps are necessary. The first recipe we tried was a winner, not just a warm meal. The instructions are clear and the prep time reasonable, especially if you have a microwave, which we do not.

I would have liked alternate instructions for those without a microwave.

This book and the 2nd volume are excellent. They take Slow Cooker cooking and revolutionize it. No longer does everything taste like mush with cooked out flavors. America’s test kitchen freshens the process with a little microwave, a little spice revamping.

Exactly what I was expecting! Needed some fast and easy slow cooker recipes to keep me Whole 30 compliant and I found just that!!!

Quick, easy tasty menus with easy to find ingredients. Nothing negative yet.

Book was in new condition. It has a wide variety of recipes that I will be trying. This book will come in handy for the Holidays, when you need more cooking capability. Hot Cinnamon rolls Christmas morning to go with your coffee or tea, yummy.

I purchased the book as a gift. I didn’t realize when I bought it that it was an eBook. I was concerned about how to correct the blunder (No Returns – policy. ) As it turned out, the recipient was pleased that it was in digital form.

It works better with the computer and search engines/find functions than printed book – Luckily she is very comfortable in the digital world. Good book, good content and I guess a good price. It was an unbelievable price for had copy-:).

I have not used a recipe yet, but the book is well made and beautiful. Great format. Excellent addition to my collection.

This is a everything slow cooker cookbook. If you have a bunch of cookbooks that include slow cooker recipes you don’t need them anymore because it says everything you’ll ever want! I already had this but I gave it as a gift to a dear friend of mine this Christmas, who loves to use her slow cooker.

She was absolutely loving it. It really does have thousands of recipes with different variations and different size slow cookers you might use.

This is a blast from the past. Recipes I’ve tried have been very good! The book was listed as being in “acceptable condition” but looked band new to me. I’m having fun with it.

I absolutely love the book. I have already cooked about 10 recipes out of it. Not all were favorites so far, but most are really good. I use my crockpot about 4 times a week and this is by far my favorite crockpot cookbook.

I recommend it to all of my friends. What I was not happy with was the way I recieved the book. The paper cover was torn half way down the front and it had slightly torn the actual cover of the book.

The box itself that is was packed in had no damage, so it was already damaged when they put the book in the box. I did not want to deal with returning the product and ordering a new product so I repaired what I could of it myself.

I threw the paper cover away and glued the book where is was torn on the actual cover to repair it. It really made me not want to order any more books from walmart. com because it should not have arrived at my house in that condition.

That is why I scored it lower on the stars. The product itself is wonderful. Just not happy with it being damaged.

A excellent Instant pot cookbook. I have given several to friends that are just starting out in the electric pressure world. The book is well laid out, easy to understand and the recipes are stellar!

This a great book. The instant pot is difficult to use. This book has many good receipts that are easy to understand. Every body that has an instant pot should have this book.

Bought this as a gift and the recipient was looking forward to trying many dishes. I am glad I bought it. Thank you !

While this is titled to be for the 3 quart instant pot, many recipes are written to be made in two pans and cooked twice. If I wanted this many servings, I would have bought the larger one. I don’t have two springform pans.

I’m not buying extra of the other special items to cook in either, just so I can make a meal or dessert for 4 people when there’s only 1 of me. While there’s interesting information at the front, and some recipes I’ll use, it’s quite bothersome that she would even put recipes in here that require you to set aside a pan of something and make it twice.

She should either do the work for us or include a different recipe. Although I’m keeping this book, I’ve decided not to purchase any more Instant Pot cookbooks as I’m not taking a chance on this again.

Easier to look up recipes on YouTube or other websites and take my chances there.

I ordered this book to help with my adjustment to this way of cooking. While it’s not perfect, it has been an enormous help in in this endeavor. There is a lot of pertinent information, not only recipes, but also tips on how to best use the pot.

With all the different settings available, it is good to have a guide. I consult it a lot. It is good value for the price and I would recommend it to anyone new to Instant Pot 3 quart cooking.

This is a great cookbook with some fantastic recipes. So far, each recipe I have tried has been easy to follow, healthy, and delicious. I am a beginner with the instant pot and the book has an excellent introduction to help understand instant pot basics.

The book has some tasty recipes but the overall experience and accessibility was significantly damaged by the lack of photos. About 1 in every 4 recipes has an finished image. Without images, it is difficult to gauge how the recipe will turn out, especially if you’ve never cooked it before.

I just bought an Instant Pot, and was so excited to see that Melissa Clark had a cookbook available. I have been a fan of hers for years with the New York Times Cooking website. The recipes are fabulous.

I have only had time to try two great recipes so far, but I am ready looking forward to making Osso Bucco and Duck Confit. I never would have imagined these were possible in an Instant Pot. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow.

This book does exactly what you would hope. Super delicious recipes served up quickly. The cheesecake is truly amazing. I got rave reviews when I brought it to a Fourth of July BBQ.

Just got my cookbook in the mail today. It has 75 total recipes with only 20% of them have meat in them, the rest are vegetarian (veg meals, salads and soups, desserts and jam). Here is the breakdown: 3 – Turkey dishes, 2 – beef dishes, 7 – chicken dishes, 2 – fish dishes, 2 – shrimp dishes.

It would have been nice to have an optional “add meat” to the recipe but since I am new to this, I am not sure how to add meat to these dishes. There are many recipes that should have meat in them: Chili (no beef?), taco salad (no beef?), cheeseburger salad (no beef?), eggroll in a bowl (no pork?), Shepherds pie (no beef?) all of which are made with beans or other alternatives.

I prefer to have meat with each meal and since this book also has desserts, soups and breakfasts, there are little ideas for actual standard dinner meals.

With moving these past couple of months I could feel the effects of the stress and eating things on the run. As a result I wanted to get back into eating more healthfully. Everyday Detox by Megan Gilmore offers advice and recipes on eating healthfully to help your body feel better on a daily basis.

Megan Gilmore starts the book by sharing her story. She didn’t start out being a healthy eater but she says she did enjoy cooking. After years of diets binging and unhealthy eating Megan went to school and became a Nutritional Consultant.

She shares that this book offers recipes developed with digestion mechanics in mind. She offers a basic plan for combining foods to help your body digest better. She also shares great advice on how to stock your kitchen with healthy essentials.

A jump- start seven-day menu begins the recipe section. if you want to use it. She doesn’t want you to get bogged down in the rules so much that you can’t make the changes. Megan says you can make her plan work whether you are vegan vegetarian or a carnivore.

The recipes include chapters on: liquid nourishment; Salads sides and dressings; soups sandwiches and wraps; casseroles and comfort food; sweet treats; and a chapter on the basics like marinara sauce and healthy coffee creamer.

Many of the recipes are flanked by beautiful color pictures making all of the recipes look delicious. Lentil chili cauliflower flatbread pizza(on the cover) go-to Greek salad maple mustard glazed salmon and strawberry lime sorbet all look so yummy! I highly recommend this book for someone who wants to eat healthier on a daily basis with an emphasis on whole foods.

I personally found most of the foods were easily available at our local grocery or food coop. I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.

The Detoxinista has been testing these recipes for months, and I’m so excited that the book is finally published. Megan has managed to create even more creative, varied and yummy meals, this time with the ease of cooking in an Instant Pot.

I’m making Egg Roll in a Bowl tonight and will have no mess on my stove because all cooking will happen in my Instant Pot. This is the third of Megan’s cookbooks I’ve purchased, and all of them are excellent.

Each cookbook has health and diet tips, and the recipes enjoyed by my entire family. The photos are gorgeous and the instructions are easy to follow. I am going to do a week of meals from this cookbook.

I’m looking forward to delicious, healthy recipes in my Instant Pot!.

I haven’t yet tried any recipes, but disappointed that all are for the larger (6 qt) units, l have the 3qt mini and being a first time pressure cooker user l’m not comfortable with timming and/or proportions/heat settings.

My 1st attempt at spaghetti with sauce and ltilian sausage was a water down (to much water) disappointment. I based my measurements on reduced amounts for 6qt units. So this book will probably be fine for larger units, but unless you know what you’re doing (which l don’t), you may reconsider this purchase.

I’m not much on cook books to but this one has a lot of recipes that the average house cook’s . You wouldn’t have to go to a store and try to find all the ingredients You have them in your pantry now.

This book is better than the first one I ordered, which I returned. For those brand new to the Ninja like I am, I have found youtube videos very helpful for those tips that a book just can’t get into.

I do not recommend all the spices with the mac and cheese recipe in this book if your family likes just a simple mac and cheese,. I ended up throwing it out the first time I made it. I feel like it tries to get too fancy, but hopefully as I become more comfortable using the Foodi I will be more comfortable with the recipes.

I bought this book for my Ninja Foodi after looking for a while and I’m not disappointed. Amazing easy to follow recipes. I am very impressed with this book. Will try all the recipes as they all look delicious.

I love this book as much as I love the No ja Foodi! It has tons of great pictures unlike most other Foodi cookbooks and it was written by a well-known chef, so the recipes actually work. I bought 2 others to give to my Foodi friends.

Love Gooseberry Patch Cookbooks. This one does not disappoint. Great for weekdays.

Bought for my granddaughter for Christmas since she is into cooking! These cookbooks have some nice recipes in them. I think she will love them.

I’m excited to try sooo many of the recepies on this book. Recepieces are easy to read and understand. Filled with simple resources as well as more extensive ones.

I have to admit that this is now one of my favorites! Every page has a photo and recipe that is so easy to follow. The recipes are absolutely on point as I’ve done three thia week. You can’t understand when I say, SUPER EASY TO FOLLOW and just forget it.

When you come home or at night, you have amazing foods that require little or no time.

Great Cookbook! Recipes for Everyone! Easy to Find ingredient. Easy to follow directions. A great book for a busy Mom (or Dad) on the go!

There’s a reason an author hasn’t signed off on this cookbook or even a single recipe, it’s just that it’s so bland and uninspiring I would venture to guess that no one wanted their name associated with this book.

It’s a nice enough “looking” book, with it’s hard cover and ample photographs but the recipes are humdrum and best – and there’s ONE recipe for Pot-Roast. The constant over selling of the Crock Pot brand is perhaps the worst offense.

On every page the word “Crock Pot” appears dozens of times, in a larger font size and in BOLD. This isn’t just annoying but it makes reading through the recipe’s arduous when it should be effortless.

It doesn’t make sense, the books audience already owns a Crock Pot (or similar slow cooker) so they’re preaching to the choir – again and again, on every single page. I love slow cookers and we have three of them, I bought the book on a lark along with a new slow cooker and despite my disdain for the book I’ve kept it.

If you’re looking for a good cook book for slow cooking I suggest taking a pass on this as there’s no shortage of superb cook books to be found — this however , is not one of them.

Our college son was looking for a way to cook healthy meals while he was in class or at work to maximize his time and to eat healthier. We gave him a crockpot and the cookbook for Christmas. The cookbook inspired him to try different kinds of dishes.

Every single time he’s used the crockpot and a recipe, he sends us photos and excited text messages with lots of exclamation points of how delicious those meals were. I think he was delightfully surprised he could cook meals like that by himself without mom or dad‘s help.

Every Winter I crock pot meals, they are simple and easy to cook. This book has a lot of ‘new’ ideas and menu suggestions that are ‘great’! Came up with a new way to use both my Insta Pot and Crock Pot! I can even have ‘ribs’ in the winter.

No freezing my buns off just cause I wanted. Ribs! Its great one of my favorites using it now DAILY!!! Great cookbook!.

A great EBook with a huge range of recipes – have tried several already. Recipes are easy to follow and taste great. EBook is amazing value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone with a slow cooker.

I had this shipped to an elderly aunt and she phoned that this is one of the nicest books she’s ever owned. She is thrilled with the variety and the beautiful photos. SO I bought one for myself. I’ll never use this book, recipe’s are add a can of this to a package of that.

Recipes for a very novice cook who wants to make a non-nutritional meal in 10 minutes.

Last Christmas I received a Slow Cooker as a gift. Oh, I had the original Rival Crockpot, of course. You know, the one that has the crock permanently affixed into the heating portion, sort of small and hard to clean It sat around decades, unused, as Boston Baked Beans or Split Pea Soup didnt really appeal to the family too often.

The new generation of Slow Cooker, whether from Rival or any of the other fine manufacturers, can now be found in many sizes, and the crock itself comes out for ease of cleaning no more excuses not to use it.

That being said, I went on Ebay and bought every single crock or slow cooker cookbook I found I have a dozen now, from the vintage Rival Cookbook to this one here: Slow Cooker Recipes for All Occasions.

I like this book, as one of the best. It has all my cookbook requirements: lots of full page color photos, easily-found ingredients, and fool-proof instructions. 95 pages long. Here are the categories: Impress Your Guests, World-Class Cuisine, Spectacular Sides, Sweet Endings, Everyday Favorites, Kids in the Kitchen, and theres a nice index too.

Every time a holiday rolls around, the oven is already in service, my stovetop is crowded with last-minute sauces, and the microwave is busy reheating my pre-made items. Why didnt it occur to me to use the Slow Cooker? In fact, it can be plugged in, out of the way, in nearly any room Heat the meatball appetizers, make the Breakfast Bake, a potato casserole side dish, and lemon loaf cake for dessert.

I have my cooker sitting out on my dryer, always ready to lend a hand on dinner duty. My husband learned to make beef stew and chili, and now improvises on the basic recipes in the book. He thinks hes a chef now.

Uh-huh, yeah. Whats great is that these recipes free up my time to sell more on eBay, and not worry about whats for supper. A bit of pre-planning is all thats required, and this is even great for a supervised child to help out with a meal.

Let me show you one of the kids recipes here: MOMS TUNA CASSEROLE Makes 8 servings 2 12 oz. cans tuna, drained and flaked 3 c. diced celery (watch those kids with the knife!) 3 c. crushed potato chips, divided 6 hard cooked eggs, chopped (parents, you boil the eggs) 1 10 oz.

each condensed cream of mushroom soup & condensed cream of celery soup 1 c. mayonnaise 1 t. dried tarragon 1 t. black pepper 1. Combine tuna, celery, 2 cups chips, eggs, soups, mayonnaise, tarragon, and pepper in Slow Cooker, stir well.

2. Cover, cook on LOW 5-8 hours or until done. 3. Sprinkle with remaining cup chips before serving. YUM! Wait until you see how excited your child is, telling everyone, I cooked this dinner Totally worth the supervision time to see their pride of accomplishment.

Youll find many more easy to teach or make recipes, for all family members. Get the Slow Cooker out, buy this book, and spend that cooking time with your loved ones instead.

Love this Cookbook. I am going on vacation and thought I knew everything about cooking – I’m a grandmother! I plan to try some of these out, place them in crockpot and forget it. Sounds great! Love the choices for different categories.

I love easy and not have to have 10-20 ingredients which costs so much to initially purchase. My only complaint is that I might not make most of these recipes but others would. I will definitely make some of these! I have purchased small amount ingredient recipe books before and not used.

I haven’t actually this yet. I am enjoying reading and anticipating The good eating. Book came yesterday. I’m not a cook so the ease of the preparation has much appeal. It calls for ingredients that most kitchens have in stock so keeps cost low.

Very few ingredients, the herbs and spices you already have in your pantry. So it is quite easy to prepare these crockpot meals. I’ve tried a few since I purchased the cookbook recently and they were delicious!.

This book is for for an Instant Pot pressure cooker which I do not rate as a multi cooker? So the title is quite misleading. That said if you have an Instant Pot cooker you could not get a better recipe book.

It is a quality hardback book , well illustrated and with good recipes in it. Well worth the money paid.

I purchased this book for some one else but had a sneek peek before I gave it to them. This book should be scratch and sniff Mmmmmmmmmm. Many thanks
