This is a nice carrying case, but it does not offer much protection from any outside assault. It is a semi-rigid case that will give when squeezed (when it is empty). It only holds your cpap and battery or humidifier.

It also comes with a soft bag to carry your mask and cord. If you don’t need the battery or humidifier, you may be able to fit your mask and cord in the room left. I like that is form fitting to the DreamStation Go and should pack easily with my carry on.

Considerations: In retrospect maybe getting two small cases would be better because you have more options on where it will fit in your luggage/backpack/carry on. Think packing cubes.

Since the machine was for travel, I had no hesitation adding this to the purchase, esp since would be part of free shipping. It has a pouch in the back but kinda small so haven’t used it. Also received a cloth pouch, and I put the cord, tubing, and mask in it.

Can also fit the case/machine but it’s a tight squeeze. After putting machine in the case I still wrap clothing around it and put it in baggage. Have not traveled with it in hand-carry.

Although this is advertised as a hard shell, the shell is pretty flimsy and flexible. The machine fits well in the case and the case is nicely lightweight and provides some limited degree of protection — but not much protection from impact or heavy load.

This is an inevitable trade-off between case weight and protectiveness. Just be aware that this case is closer to a soft than a hard case.

I was initially hesitant, but I now have much better sleep. The main disadvantage is that they are only available in pairs. After the fifth recharge, the original one ceased operating and was never replaced.

Fortunately, one of them is in fine functioning order. It took some ingenuity on my part to hold it in place while side sleeping, but it worked.

I purchased this machine primarily for travel and power outages. (Unfortunately, where we live, PG&E fails to provide power for, on average, 30 days out of each year. I can charge the battery with our generator, but we don’t run it at night.

) I also purchased a Medistrom 24 lite battery so that I can go backpacking with it. I found the battery lasts 2 nights for me (I understand higher pressures use more power). I can also use my AirSense 10 power cord to charge the battery and connect the battery to the Mini, so if the power goes out during the night, the CPAP keeps going from the wall power to the battery seamlessly.

(The power cord for the Mini can’t be used in the power backup configuration, but it will charge the battery, but is slow. The AirSense 10 cord charges the battery faster than the Mini cord. There is apparently a Medistrom charging cord that can be purchased if you don’t have an AirSense 10 cord that charges faster than the Mini cord and can be used in the backup power configuration.

) The machine itself is very quiet, the noise comes from the HumidX connection where there are vents, but it isn’t too bad. The HumidX works well to capture exhaled moisture and I wake up with no dry nose.

The machine pressures were set to my Rx by Apria. I had some issues initially because the ramp feature was on and that tends to make me feel suffocated. I called Apria and was able to turn the ramp off with some help by using the app and now the machine works identical to my AirSense 10.

I like the auto on/off and it adjusts pressure when I exhale. The size and weight are great, small and light. I looked into some other travel machines, but some only have a set pressure and don’t adjust upon exhalation as I like.

This machine has all the features of my AirSense 10 that I like. It is expensive, especially after buying the machine, the hose kit, and battery, but it has already made travel much easier. My insurance only supports the home unit and accessories, but luckily the masks I like are supplied by my insurance and are compatible with this machine.

The app is used to set some features and it records stats for each use. It apparently has an upload feature, possibly to prove compliance? Once the machine is set up, the app isn’t necessary to use the machine.

The Mini does not have a screen, just an on/off button and a Bluetooth button. The app shows the stats after use and functions as the screen. It was easy to pair with my phone. In short, it does everything I need.

I can camp and backpack with it, I can fly and travel with it, and it works when the power is out with a 24 volt battery.

I finally reached a point where I had become fed up lugging my S10 around when traveling and decided to give this machine a go. Let’s get the basics out of the way: it is a CPAP machine, and it works.

With that aside, let’s talk about the downsides. It doesn’t come with any sort of real carrying case, just a drawstring bag to toss it into. For the kind of money you’re spending on this machine it really should come with some sort of padded case.

I ended up buying the ResMed premium case for this machine which wasn’t didn’t add much to the cost but it really should have been included. The HumidX heat exchangers are expensive and don’t work very well.

They also have an unpleasant smell that takes several days to go away. You’re supposed to throw them away after 30 days of opening, so if you don’t travel very often these will get limited use before being disposed.

I understand that there’s limited options for humidification with this kind of machine, but it’s disappointing that there couldn’t be a better solution for this. the HumidX is barely better than nothing at all.

Because of the design of the product, you must use a HumidX cartridge if you’re using ResMed tubing. This machine doesn’t use standard tubing and is limited in the kind of hoses it will accept. If you want to do things like use a different mask than the limited set that’s supported, change to a different mask, or not use a HumidX cartridge you will have to buy a 3rd party adapter for this.

(Which thankfully exists now; this didn’t exist when I originally ordered this machine. ) Finally, and most importantly is the noise and it’s crazy loud. They can say the machine is quiet because the noise really isn’t in the air pump motor itself, it’s in the tubing and exhaust port.

The way it’s designed you may not hear the machine pumping air but you’ll hear all the air moving through the system as you breathe in and out. If you’re a light sleeper, you’ll be absolutely miserable with this machine.

There’s really no way to mitigate this. You can put the machine itself under a blanket or something to try to mitigate some of the airflow noise coming in and out of the machine (just make sure you don’t block the air ports), but there’s essentially nothing that can be done to mitigate the noise as it moves through the tubes.

Even a wrap on the tube won’t help all that much because noise will escape through the anti-asphyxiation valve. Worse yet the noise is all right by your head. In case you think it’s just you, you can be certain that whatever you’re hearing your sleep partner will be hearing as well.

So, in summary just as a travel CPAP machine, it’s fine. It’s small, it works. But it has many deficiencies to consider, from nickel-and-diming around what’s included, lack of good humidification, compatibility constraints, and lots of noise.

If you use it for travel you’ll want to make sure to pack some ear plugs if you want to sleep over the racket it makes. Keep these things in mind, and you’ll probably be happy with this machine. Otherwise you may want to hold out until a new generation of (hopefully) better travel CPAP machines becomes available.

I use a Philips Dreamstation normally and bought this machine for frequent travel. It is indeed small, very portable and I like the features in the app. However this machine is very loud. It has a significant airflow noise (the sound of high velocity rushing air) originating from the machine that transmits down the hose into the mask which acts like a speaker directly into your face.

I experimented with different settings in the app for a few days and theres nothing that can be done to remedy it except maybe adding some kind of muffler device to the hose. I cant find anything like that on the internet, but even if I did that would defeat the idea of having a small, compact travel machine.

In addition, I experienced significant pressure fluctuations within the mask as I inhaled and exhaled – compared to the Dreamstation which is rock-steady. I would acknowledge that everyone has different thresholds for noise toleration.

I would just recommend not getting any added accessories such as the travel bag until youre sure you want to keep it – they are not refundable.

This machine is almost as small as travel size. I have only been using for 2 weeks but so far am very impressed. I also use with a humidifier but it can be used alone. Machine is quiet! The hook up to a water chamber could not be easier.

It is secured on the humidifier simply by sliding the water chamber male into the machine female and a small hold bar behind machine. Easy to use & travel with alone or with humidifier. My on/off button is a little weird.

I don’t know if it’s super sensitive or not sensitive enough but most of the time I have to push more than once. The machine is awesome & the price is great!.

I bought this last week to keep at a second location I travel to regularly so that I don’t have to lug my PR System One back and forth on the airplane. So here’s the set-up: Same tube, same mask, same headgear, same pressure, NOTHING different between my two set-ups but the machine.

On my PR machine at home I can not hear anything as far as sounds getting projected through the tube from the machine, it’s utterly silent except for the very faint noise actually coming from the machine (on my bedside table making ambient noise in the room, not through the tube) and every now and then some “exhaust” wind when the holes on my mask are pressed to close to a pillow, etc.

But for the most part assuming my mask isn’t leaking it is completely silent for me as a user. I can obviously feel the air coming through the tube, but I can not hear it at all. This new XT machine projects a huge amount of “machine” noise through the tube.

I was so shocked when I first turned it on I thought the machine itself was that noisy, but when I took off the mask the actual ambient machine noise in the room was just about as quiet as my other machine – practically silent.

BUT, when you put on whatever is attached to the tube an enormous amount of noise gets transferred through the tube. A REALLY annoying very high pitched whine that raises and lowers with each fan adjustment as it is following your breaths, a ton of seemingly velocity induced air noise (even though the pressure I am using is identical to my other machine) as though the fan was getting blown through too tight of a fitting, etc.

It is like a cacophony of noises you’d hear if you were camping outside in a really windy storm. It’s terrible. I am getting ready to call CPAP. com to see if this is an anomaly, in which case this review is not really fair.

But, if this is just the result of the machine’s design, it’s terrible to the point of almost being unusable as far as the noise you hear as a user being so loud and distracting. Not sure if I can with this system, but if possible I’ll make sure to update this review with what I find out moving forward to be fair in case there really is something wrong with the one I got.

Now that I have been able to use it for travel, I can do a realistic review. This is unit #3 for me. I have a DeVilbiss IntelliPAP (primary machine) and a Respironics Remstar Pro as well. Operation: It’s simply to set up and use, it does not have an auto start, so you will need to turn it on.

If you need to change the pressure setting, that can be done by the user. But, I’m not saying play around with it. Since I have an APAP, I could read what my body is actually needing right now – my script is about 5 years old.

After using this at my script pressure (and my lungs hurt), I had to drop the pressure a little bit. It was very easy to do. Adjusting the ramp pressure increase is simple as well. So, you don’t have to be a 10 year old to set up and operate this machine.

I did not get the humidifier, so I can’t comment on that. Unit info: This is about the same size as a Respironics Remstar Pro, but weighs less and is quieter. So, it’s nicer for me to travel with – meaning, in my carry on backpack, it doesn’t feel like I have a brick in there.

The air output port has small holes in it that do make the air have a different sound than one with just an open hole. To some, this may take some time to get use to if you haven’t used one like it. It took me a couple nights to ignore the sound.

The other thing I liked is the power cord plugs straight into it, so you don’t have an inverter box to deal with mid cord. I can’t say what the longevity is on it, but for travel use, I imagine it will do fine for quite some time.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone for travel.

Out of the box, this thing is pretty useless. As a 20-year CPAP user, the default settings are horrible. It “adjusts” the pressure from nothing, up to slightly more than nothing. It also tries to emulate a BiPAP, which is very unsettling.

The only instructions were to contact my “home healthcare professional”, who could adjust the settings. Fortunately, before I packed it up for a return shipment, I found a couple of online articles that told exactly the keystrokes to use to enter setup mode.

Apparently, this device can do everything for everybody. I turned them all off. I set the machine to “CPAP mode” and the pressure to the same one I’ve been using for 20 years. Worked like a charm. The machine is very quiet and the on/off switch works as expected.

I downloaded the App and have been collecting the data. It believes that I respond well and that my mask fits (it does). As to accessories, the heated tubing is too short (I added another length of unheated) and the humidifier runs out of water before morning, leaving the smell of hot metal.

Had about six years on ResMed Air Tech 10 and it was getting noisy. Wanted something new so I bought the DreamStation. It’s auto-sense so you don’t need a pressure setting. It works great. I think so because I am solidly asleep all night.

Also I use about half the distilled water of the last machine and wake up with less dryness. You don’t need a sleep study because the pressure is on demand and changes as needed. You don’t need a DME(Durable Medical Equipment) provider because the direct purchase price is $330 less than the deductible.

I have been using a CPAP Machine for at least 10-12 years and the Philips DreamStation is truly a “dream” to use and own. For the price of what most insurance plans charge for a copay, you can own this machine outright with no insurance hassles or rental agreements, etc.

The DreamStation is whisper quiet, dependable and easy to use. It sets the bar very high for a modern CPAP machine. I bought the Auto CPAP DreamStation and it works virtually flawlessly with the Bluetooth connected DreamMapper App to record your sleep patterns night after night and show your sleep history and vital sleep info to chart your progress.

You can even print out a custom report to take to your sleep doctor if necessary. But don’t be afraid of the technology; you can use the DreamStation completely on its own without using the Bluetooth App and reports.

Once set up everything is completely automatic for using the DreamStation and getting a good night’s sleep zzzzzz :).

I bought a Z1 as a travel machine in the first year they became available. I was always happy with it and never saw the need to up grade to the Z2. I am an active traveler, bike/camping, liveaboard scuba adventures, sailing offshore, ski vacations, and many European travels.

After all these years of living in a salt water environment my Z1 finally failed. I just replaced it with a Z2. WOW! Was I surprised. The Z2 has all the great features of the Z1 but it is extremely quiet.

The Z2 is also an AutoCPAP or ACPAP and comes with the best data APP for monitoring you sleep data via Bluetooth to my phone. I can’t see any reason why I should not make this my Primary machine. I can not comment on humidifiers as I have not used one in 15 years.

I do recommend purchasing a spare tube adapter as this is a potentially fragile part that can become damaged while traveling.

I recently ordered a Transcend 3, bundled with the P10 battery. I have severe sleep apnea with a very high pressure rating (16). The machine performs well and I’m really excited to get back into backpacking and camping.

This machine is a gamble. For $1,100 you would expect a product like this to deliver on its promise of helping you sleep and breathe better at night. Unfortunately for the first 9 days I had to take the device OFF in order to sleep.

If you have any nasal congestion while wearing the device, you suffer from claustrophobia-induced panic as you feel like you’re trying to breathe through a coffee straw. Two nights ago I was up at 4AM unable to breathe, but after I removed the device I could suddenly breathe again! This was made better by the fact that there is NO REFUND policy from Lofta.

You’re stuck with a $1,100 suffocation machine! The medical industry is the only industry where they offload all the risk and cost burden completely onto the customer. If they were selling these machines on Amazon they wouldn’t be able to sell them for more than $600 and would have free returns.

The machine is self-adjusting and came with the most generic settings, only to be further tuned by the patient. What exactly is the role of the physician here? Furthermore, there is no way for the patient, except to conduct another $200 sleep lab, to know whether the machine is working.

Yes, the machine tells you that it’s working. But can you trust it? It lacks any of the sensing the original sleep lab did, so how exactly are the data comparable? To be fair, when you are lucky enough to sleep through the night with the device, I do believe the quality of sleep to be superior.

I’ve even lost weight since I started using it and feel I can sustain longer through the workday. I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea 3 months ago. I went to my family physician for an annual checkup and he referred me to a neurologist. 1 month after the referral I finally had an appointment. 2 weeks after that, the Dr.

had me return to his office. He then scheduled me for an overnight sleep study in a clinic. 1 Month after that, my insurance said NO, use an in home study. 3 weeks after that I got the test and completed it at home.

3 weeks later I returned to my neurologist to get my results. I had severe sleep apnea. Neurologist then said, I want a sleep study in clinic. 3 weeks after that, my insurance company said NO again that Dr had enough information already.

I was beyond frustrated at this point and googled cpap machines. LOFTA seemed the best company I could find. I bought this unit to replace my old DeVilbis unit, which apparently didn’t provide any way for my doctor to retrieve any data from it. Plus it was six years old. Though my old device worked fine, the Philips device is a big improvement.

Not only did it come with an SD card already installed so my doctor will be able to retrieve the data, but the display and the iOS app both provide useful information, from hours of use to a breakdown of events recorded during the night.

The device itself is also a lot quieter. More importantly, with my old device, I would still occasionally (about once every two or three weeks) experience episodes of apnea that would cause me to awaken during the night.

That has not happened since I started using the Philips device. Also, the DeVilbis tended to wake me up whenever the air pressure went past 9; with the Philips, the air pressure has never gotten that high, which suggests to me that it is working more efficiently.

My only complaint about the Philips unit is that their product video features the hose connected to the top of the unit. But that is only if you have attached the humidifier unit, which I chose not to get.

If you use only the main unit, the hose still connects to the back. The main thing is that I am getting better sleep, which is the whole point. To summarize: small size, lots of useful information, quieter, and more efficient.

(It was also less expensive than my old device. ).

Have had this machine for about 4 months. Very solid, extremely quiet, tank is much flatter so harder to read the fill line so I find myself under filling occasionally. The software is really very good and the Bluetooth is.

As reasonable as a Bluetooth connection is. in short the connection issues were more Bluetooth related than machine and phone. you only have to get it right once then your done. My doctor can change the settings from his office which is a delight and they can download the data if you like them too and I love that.

if they choose to review my settings from time to time and not bill me I am delighted they care. The tube is different, and I. Not a fan. The tube comes straight out the back. hate that it forces the machine to sit a little further forward on my night stand than I like.

but it is what it is and perhaps they will get smart and Changs it or they got smart because the elbow caused issues. not an engineer hoping it was for real reasons and not because it was cheaper because no it is inconvenient.

This machine is great. It has a small compact design. It’s cleaning options are limited: manual or UV-C. After receiving sage advice and cleaning demonstrations (Airsense10) from veteran CPAP users as to which auto cleaning device is the best to use (SoClean), I find out at the moment of purchase, in big red font “this device is not compatible with Airsense11”.

Activated oxygen would have assuredly sterilized my entire system at the push of a button without any disassembly. I get that this a gripe for loss of convenience, but isn’t that the point of spending a couple of thousand dollars on a therapeutic sleep device and accessories? Why was this convenience made unavailable for the newest model? Just a little accessory port on the exposed side of the humidifier would have avoided this.

But if you like manually cleaning and draining CPAP parts, despite better technology to clean them – Airsense11.

What a disappointment!You’ve read the issue with the water tank. When you pour water in, it comes out the other side somewhere – haven’t figured it out. I keep a towel nearby because I always have to clean a spill.

Now this could just be me but I have a heck of a time getting the water tank out of the chamber. Now the Couoe de Gras – it does not connect to wifi. I saw these bars with a line through it and had no idea what it meant, looked it up, said I wasn’t connected to wifi.

Strange, since my Air Sense 10 had no issues. Read the trouble shoot, disconnect for 10 mins and plug back in … did that 5 times. Emailed Res Med, they said I needed to the company that supplied me the machine.

Called the company, they said to get in touch with ResMed (uhh, they told me to contact you. The rep said that this is a big issue with this machine. She would calm get in touch with ResMed and have them send me a ping (??) and to wait the weekend and see if it connects.

So I said well it’s backing up to the SD card so the data is being stored. She said there is no SD card in the machine, it does not come with one WHAT? They would send me one immediately. Waited for my ping , nothin happened.

So here’s the deal. This is a very expensive piece of equipment that if you are lucky enough your health care provider leases and then buys; and you can’t change it for 5 years. As I told the woman on the phone why would I settle for this poorly designed machine for 5 years.

Calling Medicare today to see my options and going my the durable supply company who sent me the machine. My advice – stick with the Air Sense 10 until ResMed figures this out. It is a very nice machine.

When I say, “you get what you pay for,” I don’t mean it in a negative sense. It’s just a healthy acknowledgement that when you purchase something at such a low price, you’re inevitably sacrificing some form and function.

That’s the case with this CPAP. So here goes: PROS: – The price is incredible! You simply won’t find a more affordable CPAP, especially with features like integrated humidification and data reporting.

– It seems sturdy. If the exterior is indicative of the internal components, it should be a long-lasting workhorse. CONS: – The worst part is the noise. Having used many CPAPs for the past 15 years, this one is the loudest.

The whir of the motor isn’t bad. As another reviewer noted, when you inhale, the motor creates a sound approximating a snore. Another review said the noise was lessened when placed under the bed, but my experience is that the noise resonates through the hose to the mask.

It’s not loud enough to keep me from sleeping, and my wife hasn’t complained, but it can be distracting. – It’s hard to explain, but the give and take of inhalation and exhalation don’t seem as smooth as my previous CPAPs (almost like breathing creates vibrations through the hose and mask).

Again, not a deal-breaker, but a little bothersome. – It’s big and heavy. It’s easily 1. 5 times the size of my last CPAP, which wasn’t particularly small, and it’s certainly much heavier. It would be burdensome for traveling.

– It’s ugly. Not really ugly, but it looks like medical equipment, comparable to something you’d see in a hospital room. Most new CPAPs are sleeker and more attractive. – The interface isn’t very intuitive.

The power button is fine, but getting into settings and reporting takes more effort. – The design isn’t very user friendly. For example, the hose doesn’t pivot against the machine, so it often gets wound up, like a phone cord does.

The water chamber is harder to remove and fill. It’s the little things that make a CPAP easier to use. BOTTOM LINE: If I could do it all over, I’d probably buy it again. Sure, there are plenty of cons, but if you’re buying the CPAP without the help of insurance — and you don’t have much money to spend — you simply cannot beat the price.

And, despite the cons, it ultimately does what you need it to do.

My CPAP machine broke suddenly, and I needed a machine that was quiet and has heated humidity. The RESmart was on sale and seemed to have all the features I was looking for. I have been usining my new machine for a week now, and have been sleeping very soundly.

The machine is so quiet that I forget it is on! I especially like the ramp feature, which makes it easy to fall asleep before the airflow starts in full force. I also like that the humidifier is lit up when it is working.

I suspect the humidifier on my old machine was broken for awhile before realizing it wasn’t working, but no problem here. All told, this is a good machine, with the features I was looking for. Best of all, I’m sleeping well again!.

Good – This was the least expensive CPAP offered but is quite servicable. I had no trouble setting it after reading the instructions. It has a handle on top that makes it easy to lift and move. The ramp function is quiet and unobtrusive.

Not so good – it’s a bit on the heavy side for its size. The humidifier is very difficult to remove (it slides out horizontally and has a lot of friction against the heating plate that makes this a struggle) and it’s necessary to take the hose off each time I fill the tank which doesn’t hold more than one night’s worth of water.

I feel it’s excellent quality for the money I spent.

This machine out of the box was easy to operate and set up. Lightweight and easy to move around. At times it’s a bit too light, I have waken to the machine spun around. I was disappointed that my heated tube was unable to connect to it.

It’s not as quiet as I was hoping. It is quieter than my previous s9 Elite Resmed Cpap but louder than the Airsense 10 which is used by my wife next to me. The machine operation is quiet but you can hear the air flow as you breath.

I have the optional humidifier and I thought that might be the problem but I disconnected the humidifier and it got louder. In order to lower the sound I placed a towel underneath the machine which reduced the noise by half.

I think the lightweight plastic lends to more vibration noise. That’s why a towel underneath reduces the noise some. This is my only complaint about this unit. That is why I gave it 4 stars.

I am on my first month about 15 days and I like this machine. I drive Trucks for a living and need to have a machine that will make a data readout that I can print out and give my doctor when it is time for my yearly Medical Physical card renew.

I have checked out the read out after the second day to see how it works and it will do fine. This machine is very easy to use and easy to setup. I find myself checking the display more to see if its time to replace water or clean the filter (not something I do normally).

Get one and try it before they are no longer sold. I give it a thumbs up.

This Auto Bipap machine appears to work very well but is different from my old manual machine. My old machine (settings: IPAP 16 – EPAP 12 and Back Rate 12) appeared to push much more air constantly with a higher pressure alternating on, then off.

The new machine has a lower flow with the alternating higher pressure. This confused me at first but believe with the auto feature no initial set up is necessary and the machine adjusts to user as required.

Wellue fulfilled my order very quickly and communicated the status clearly. Delivery was also very prompt. Highly recommend.

I have owned two previous Cpap machines, and this is by far my favorite. Very user friendly – the display lights turning off after 30 seconds is a great feature – my previous machine I had to put electrical tape over part of the display because it was too bright.

The humidifier is very easy to fill. And it’s very quiet – I believe I sleep better with this unit than my previous machines. I do appreciate the report it gives me every morning after turning it off.

Seems like a quality machine.

This is a terrible machine based on how it is delivering the pressure alone. The rest of the flaws can be worked on. But the engineering involved in developing the algorithm is highly questionable. The pressure goes high and low on its own and this can be felt both ways in the middle of inhaling or exhaling.

I tested the machine on myself at auto 13-20, fixed of 13, and fixed of 5. I also tested it on another person using a nasal mask at pressure of 5, and we both cannot tolerate on how the machine is behaving.

This is a huge problem.
