The hat is true to the description in crown height , shape and brim width which was a pleasant surprise since most manufacturers a pretty basic cookie cutter description. The felt quality feels a little on the lower quality side compared to older 6x hats and the long oval was closer to the round oval design for me.

The hat did arrive in a nice well packed box and the shape is overall symmetrical compared to other hats I’ve purchased. My overall opinion is that Resistol still manufactures the best mass produced hats on the market although as I said the felt quality has dropped off some but I’m happy with the purchase overall.

It’s a well made cowboy hat, made in Mexico instead of China and that is plus!

It is a good hat, wears great. The black on the sweet band comes off on your head. I had to scrape what I think is paint. For the price it is a good deal.

The hat says it’s straw but it’s been plasticized. Has no straw feel because of the coating they put on it. When I order a straw hat, I expect it to feel like a straw hat, not a plastic piece of trash.

This hat looks good in the picture but WOW! out of the box this is one good looking hat. Shipping was super fast and they do a great job of packing the hat so there’s little chance of damage. I was impressed enough that I just ordered a Resistol straw hat to add to my collection.

My hat was the correct size the first time. All hats must be broken in for comfortable fitment, again consult the internet on the best way to do this.

Just what I ordered. It was a little tight but with a hat stretcher and a light spray of water it stretched out and now fits great. It’s light weight – perfect for the summer heat. This shape hat looks great on me.

My band mates and I had also bought the black felt version of this hat, which may be twice as expensive as the straw.

I’ve been wearing different versions of this hat for the last 12 years working in the outdoor industry in very sunny California! It’s the perfect sun hat – shapeable, but adjustable brim, lightweight, interesting style, and the chin strap comes in very handy when its windy.

Greetings — it’s a great hat but it’s green and the hat in the photo on your site is brown/tan. I emailed customer service about it but never heard back. We kept it because it is a cool hat — one thing your site mentions that there should be two pieces of hat tape with each hat.

Cool hat! It came really wrinkled. It’s been over a month. Still has wrinkles that dont look norm. I’m hoping the moisture and time will help. I get a lot of compliments! I have another Scala hat that you can’t get off me in the summer.

I love this hat! I have been looking for years for a cowboy that provides both a cooler air temperature inside the crown, as well as one that had some style and looked good. I finally found what I was looking for with this twisted weave hat by Ariat.

I live in the desert, and heat is definitely an issue. The normal straw cowboy hat, for me in the summer, felt so hot I had just quit wearing them. Instead, I wear baseball caps with the cooler mesh on the back of the cap.

This twisted weave hat, for me, has proven to be the answer to the hot desert heat. The hat has more ventilation holes in the crown than any hat I have seen. The design works well with helping to minimize the heat.

The Amarillo Sky cowboy hat looks just like the one Jason Aldeen wears on his album cover. The quality is excellent. It’s really a great looking hat. My husband loved it! Just be aware that you need to know the hat size before you order.

I guessed and had to send it back for a smaller size. There was no conversation chart from inches to hat size when I ordered online, so take note in advance. Other than that, it’s awesome.

I love this straw rancher style hat, it has exceeded all of my expectations for a new summer hat that is NOT a ‘basic’ (everyone has one) fedora. The two major style points that hit for this hat are 1) It is true structured haberdashery made, the straw material is stiff and well formed.

There’s no squishy/floppy/crushed or flat business with this hat. 2) The color contrast of the cinnamon color twill ribbon and same twill trim on the edges of the wide brim is Beau. ti. ful!!! Trust me, there are not many hats out there like this one in the women’s accessories area.
