20 Best Coverage Foundation For Rosacea (2023 Updated)

I had borrowed this product from someone I know and totally loved it. It was easy to apply and made my skin have a kinda glow. I decided to splurge and buy some for myself. I went to an Ulta and spent a lot of my makeup savings on this product.

It was amazing at first. It covered up all of my blemishes and matched my skin tone pretty well. However, after the first week or so of use, I noticed that my before tiny pimples were spreading and getting larger.

I had heard that this product doesn’t clog pores so I kept on using it. My pimples were getting worse and I got a lot of white heads on my forehead. I went to using my tinted moisturizer and stopped using this.

The rate at which my pimples were growing and spreading slowed dramatically. I tried to keep my hopes up and was telling myself that it couldn’t be the Dermablend. So about a month after I switched I used it again.

After just one application my pimples were looking really red and worse than they did that morning. Sadly, it is to late for me to return this. I won’t say if I do or don’t recommend it because you might really like this product it just depends on your skin.

Just a word of warning if you are prone to breakouts because I’m still trying to treat my pimples from like two months ago.

I’m 24 YO and I struggled badly with acne in my teen years- and my approach to skincare was doing more harm than good. This means my skin has gone from being severely scarred & textured with enlarged pores, to slowly healing over time; resulting in a much smoother and more supple base.

It is sitting well now, but my skin’s texture has *noticeably* changed since the last (dozen or so times) I tried to wear it.

It’s a great product but $40 is too much to be unable to use.

All of the boxes were checked for me. Dermablend products are my new ride or die! COLLAGE: pics show Dermablend Cover Creme in shade 60N (cafe brown). Comes with a little scraper tool. Hand pics show the blend of coverage from full to sheer as needed.

PIGMENTATION: A little goes a long way, even if using for full coverage. I used half the amount shown on the scraper and spread it for coverage on the entire front of my hand. BLENDING: Blending is a dream, likely due this being a cream.

As shown in pics, the shade is significantly darker than my hand but I was able to blend it in to my hand and it covered all uneven tones in my tan skin seamlessly by just spreading it in circular motions using my fingers.

LONGEVITY: This alone will stay on my normal skin from morning until night when I remove my makeup. It not only stays in place but looks exactly as good in the pm as it does in the am. INGREDIENTS: The label mentions it is free of Parabens, Phthalates, Triclosan, Sodium lauryl sulfate (sls).

I am still gaining a proper understanding of ingredient listings so I included a picture of the ingredient list in case it would help in the interim. I will include my thoughts from the ingredient list on this and other reviews once I am more knowledgeable can properly provide educated feedback in that regard.

OVERALL: I loved this so much that I also purchased several other Dermablend products including primer, liquid foundation, loose powder, and setting spray. I anticipate using this cream as my regular foundation when I’m on top of my sunless tanning, as a contour when I’m not as dark toned (being lazy with self-tan regime), to even out patchy skin on neck, arms, hands.

I love the new formula–a wonderful foundation. I tried the redness solutions foundation years ago when it first came out, but could not use it. It would dry out my skin and settle into my pores within an hour or two of applying.

I recently purchased it to try again when I read reviews talking about how much the formula had changed. I am totally in love with the new formula. It goes on so smooth, completely covers the redness and does not irritate my sensitive skin.

It keeps my skin feeling moisturized and calm all day. I use the redness cleanser and moisturizer. I then follow with the foundation and yellow powder. My skin looks so smooth and happy.

This is without question an innovative foundation. I don’t believe that there is an equivalent to it with any brand. I love skincare and makeup combined and this really qualifies as just that. I recently began having a lot of redness and dryness with my skin.

Patches of it that made me literally stay in the house as much as possible. It also was itchy and irritated. If I put on foundation and I have tons and tons of them, it was liable to increase the discomfort.

I saw this on Ulta and it seemed like the perfect makeup for me. It’s $31 ,so definitely not the worst price, I have paid more. The bottle is tiny but it’s still the standard one fluid ounce. The foundation is dispensed by a tiny nozzle that really does a great job not over dispensing product.

It’s easy to apply it straight to my face. It requires very little product for real results. The coverage of this is amazing. Redness be gone!! I use my Sigma F80 and it blends in just seconds. The thing that really makes this a winner for me is that it actually soothes my irritated areas.

It feels cooling and hydrating, unlike other makeup I tried. My skin appears less red in general since I have been using it. I do need to use a powder with this or it is not going to last long but any powder I have tried with it works beautifully.

It is not the lightest weight foundation but it doesn’t bother me. I do, however, think Clinique could work on the shades a bit. Calming Fair is still a bit too dark for me and that is the fairest shade.

The undertone is slightly too orange as well. I can make it work with powder but some new shades would be excellent. If you struggle with redness and/ or irritated, inflamed skin and are looking for something that will cover and soothe, this is going to be the makeup that you need to get.

I have been struggling with atypical rosacea for a very long time. I don’t have the typical red cheeks and nose but various, changing but chronic red patches on my face. I have used concealers to the point of looking overly made up only to have redness peaking an hour after application.

I have also had a problem finding a foundation color that “mixed” with redness and I finally scooped up a bottle of my daughters redness solutions and VOILA, I am a new and happy woman. This foundation is incredible AND lasting.

I just want to say thank you for allowing me to look in a mirror again without cringing. Absolutely life changing.

I just received this foundation as I purchased during the day of beauty event. I use a lot of different foundations from Dior to the Ordinary and some Korean BB creams. I have Lupus and have had dry skin with flares of butterfly rash that need covering for years.

However, I broke out in the most terrible bout of acne since I was a teen (in 40’s now!). I have been needing more and more coverup and I hate having to pack layers on then use a concealer. I have hot flashes and live in a hot climate.

It’s kinda yick. I remember hearing dermablend is a good option for covering acne. I opened the package as soon as it came and tried the smallest drop on the acne over my non-spf matte base/primer. It covers beautifully with just one layer! I bet I can use it as concealer as well.

It is much lighter consistency then I had thought it would be (I was thinking it would be heavy and more like the Clinique concealer/ foundation in one). I am extremely pale as lupus and sunlight don’t mix.

This is first time in ages I am not a company’s lightest colour! (I am next to lightest! Huzzah!) I recommend trying this foundation. Now I just need to see how it works with my sunscreen base next. Right now, I don’t even need to powder set and hope that will hold true for all applications regardless of base/primer type.

For buying a new foundation on-line, the 37N turned out great for my neutral medium skin tone. Just a tad light, but going into winter and my mineral powder provides enough color on top. I read the directions on-line before purchasing since this is a blendable formula you must mix each time and express any product from the applicator to get fresh product.

Had some difficulty at first as it seemed product was stuck in the squeeze dropper so nothing was going into it or coming out. I was able to free up the product finally to apply. Excellent coverage that DOES NOT oxidize or fade after application.

I had melasma and acne scars so coverage that doesn’t fade is important. IT foundation fades after application 😐 I had this on all day without primer or setting spray just some mineral powder. Excellent staying power even after touching my face!! I have used the dermablend coverage cream foundation before but for day to day use it feels heavy and looks a little too make-upy.

I like this Creator formula better as you can dictate your coverage level you want – light, medium, full.

26yr Female here combination skin. in search of natural full coverage. I’ve waited until I got to experiment a bit before I wrote this. I’ll share all I know. first off, my bottle broke. I was able to save quite a bit of it.

The dropper is trash, don’t even bother. A little goes a long way. By itself it looks very natural and covers surprisingly well. I put coconut oil on my dry spots and put 4-5 small dots around my face and it spreads like butter.

I don’t use a sponge, a thicker foundation brush blends well. but this alone doea not last long. Here is how I use it: I use lock it boundation(best full coverage I’ve found that looks good) I use this just on my cheeks where I have acne scars and redness.

Then I put the dermablend on the same areas and the rest of my face to blend. always use a setting powder. I have gotten so many compliments on my face, and because a little goes a long way, this will last me a long time.

worth the money even if you have to use with another foundation. My favorite part is, I’d I use coconut oil on my wrinkles, the dermablend doesn’t sink in and make them stand out more like most foundations.

Definitely one of my favorite products. Just have to learn how to use it.

1st things 1st: I love this product. My skin has changed recently due to age and chronic illness. So, I’ve been looking for a product for a year that would look and feel right as well as be good for my skin.

My journey started when I looked up what my favorite soap actress, Laura Wright (General Hospital), wears on her face because it always looks so good. The result was finding this makeup and learning a lot about make up itself.

I do not usually buy things because a celebrity wears it. It seems pretty silly to me, usually, lol. But I’m glad I got beyond that this time. The first thing I noticed is that it does not come in a box and the bottle looks kind of clinical.

As if it came from the dermatologist. I am personally happy with the company spending the money on the product and not the packaging. The first bottle I bought was too dark. I originally went to the website and did their tutorial.

It told me to buy beige. I thought it might be too dark by looking at it online. But I tried it anyway. It was really way too dark. I kept it and decided I would use it for contouring when I needed just a little shading.

I then bought Opal, which I thought would be better and I was right. It was perfect for my skin. It is very creamy, very nice texture. It does have a slight chemically odor that leaves as it dries. It melts in nicely.

It is easy to blend, and it dries nicely. Heads up: Let it dry completely before making up your mind. I think if I was to do it over, I would order their 10$ sample card. It does look a little different as it dries.

There are not a lot of colors. However, you can custom blend 2 together. This is an expensive foundation, but VERY worth it. You won’t use as much because of its consistency, and it dries feeling like you have something on, but light and feels like skin.

It seems to wear well, and my skin feels firm in it. This is going to be my go-to for nights out or when I want to look special. I will keep my bb cream for daily wear. However, You could absolutely use it every single day.

It is not heavy or greasy. It is GOOD for your skin. It helps it to retain oxygen and moisture. It has salicylic acid, so you won’t break out. It was developed for on-screen activity, so it is durable and long lasting.

Again, do not let the money discourage you. TRY THIS STUFF!.

This is the best foundation EVER!!! Because of Covid and masks, I developed a skin condition called perioral dermatitis. I tried sooo many foundations, like literally no joke 30 foundations from younique to everything at ulta and Sephora! Everything made my rash worst and had so many additives in them.

This is the only one that doesn’t irritate my skin or clog my pores or make my face rash worst. It covers amazing with a couple applications. I got the taupe, I’m blonde and have a medium skin tone and it blends amazing.

It does seem pricey but I use it about 3/4 days a week when I go to the office and so far one bottle has lasted me a month. I ordered a second for when I run out but depending on how much you use it it will last a month at least.

Buy it!! It’s amazing!!.

And when I used it myself it didn’t actually cover any of my black lines, just the color. I spend nearly $200 on this foundation primer and setting powder just to cover my tattoos for work. Social media raves about it as a cover up for tattoos so I felt really confident in my purchase but it doesn’t cover the way I needed it to and I wish someone had mentioned that before I purchased it.

I don’t wear foundation on my face so it was a waste of money for me. I wouldn’t recommend for covering tattoos. And it was also really cakey when I used everything together.

The Natural 25N had a lot of yellow for a neutral color choice. It really seems more warm toned than a neutral. It is also quite drying to my skin. It seems to accentuate my creases and wrinkles. I may try a different foundation next time that offers more moisture.

This foundation covers very well. It covered the redness in my cheeks completely. I also liked the SPF 25 in this foundation.

I also have hyper pigmentation in areas. In purchasing this, I knew it was medium coverage only which is why I also purchased the concealer. What I love about this foundation is that it’s very light on the skin.

It doesn’t feel heavy and thick. I also love the fact that it’s easily buildable for more coverage, however, once you do start blending this is when it starts to cause issues if it’s going to. The foundation does not always cause issues for me, only when I have dry spots – it tends to accentuate the dry spot which is what I thought this foundation DIDN’T do.

Either way, I will continue to use it but not every day.

I’ve been dealing with adult acne for the last couple of years and I started realizing my (old) foundation might be contributing. So I found this after extensive googling for something that would provide coverage and not contribute to my acne.

This foundation is medium coverage, it’s buildable but I do worry it wouldn’t cover a breakout well – but the good news is that I have not had one since switching, it’s playing very nicely with my skin.

It feels very light on, you hardly know it’s there. It doesn’t sink into lines or highlight dry areas the way heavier foundations do. I hate the pump though – it stopped working smoothly after the first few uses, and i’ve seen this in other reviews as well.

Overall I really like this and will continue to buy it, but hope they can fix the pump issues.

I found this foundation at a bargain at Winners (CAD$11) and oh my goodness, what a find! Bought the color: Nutmeg, apply it with my fingertips. It is lovely used on its own and even better when used with a primer and a finishing powder.

Pros: (1) I was surprised at how great the coverage is without being heavy. My skin could still breath. (2)Long stay with no cakiness. (3)It appears matte on the skin, which I love, just a soft natural finish.

I can then use my setting powder to get a shimmer or a luminous finish if I wanted to. (4) The squeeze bottle lets you get the last bit out of it. Cons: Packaging of this one is not so good. So much pressure in the tube so that the formula pours out of the squeeze tube even when you do not apply pressure, and creates a mess.

MUST SHAKE before use. These were not my 1st pick, but I gotta tell ya, I’m happy with it. I have used Laura Mercier foundation for a long time, but wanted to try the “award winning” one, but it was not available.

I think I actually like this one better than my usual LM foundation (the Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation). Also, it’s really hard to get the last of the makeup out of a glass bottle. This is a squeeze bottle, and I should be able to get the last of the product out.

With any of the LM foundations, my only note is: you must seal it with the powder, otherwise it’s actually traveled into my eyes in the past (i. e. if you’re in a hurry and leave the house without putting on powder).

I love Laura mercier foundations and this one didn’t disappoint me. It’s full coverage, which I love and it blended so well. It doesn’t look too heavy or cakey like some full coverage foundations do.

I would consider buying this again when I run out but I only two shades left on the Sephora website. I hope it’s not being discontinued cause it really is a good foundation. The instructions say to apply this with a sponge.

I applied lt with my sigma flat Kabuki F80 brush for Fuller coverage and then went over it with a beauty blender. It’s more work but makes it look really great. I have dry skin and I don’t feel like it dries out my skin.

The only thing is that I wish it was more radiant or luminous. For some reason, It looks almost matte on my skin. Overall, a good foundation that I would recommend.

For reference, I am in my mid 40s, have hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores and normal skin (on hot days it turns more combination) I got a sample because of this foundation because I was curious about it and i liked it a lot.

I consider this one a good foundation for me for the following reasons: PROS: – It works well on top of my skincare and sunscreen (I never rely on foundation for spf protection as you need to apply a lot) – It has SPF 15, which is not enough for your daily protection, but adds up to the spf that I always apply.

– It has a beautiful natural finish (I don’t consider it matte) which is the kind of finish I prefer. – It is lightweight: it looks natural on top of the skin. – Good coverage: I don’t consider it full coverage unless you build it up a lot (losing the natural skin like finish and turning heavy instead) I would prefer more coverage but it is enough to cover partially my hyperpigmentation and look decent.

CONS: – The price: it is an expensive foundation, but I understand that it is expected for a luxury brand. – It didn’t last 24 hours on me. It may be because of my skincare or sunscreen, so I cannot blame the foundation.

Maybe if I had applied it by itself, the finish would have been completely matte and the duration much longer. – Not transfer resistant, at least on me, but it may be because of the same reason I just described.

This is the foundation you NEED for hot, humid summer days!! I grabbed the on sale and am so happy I did! Wore this all day to an outdoor kids birthday party in 95 degree weather with humidity, and it didn’t budge one bit! I will say that the shade match made me a little nervouse. Without getting a sample I ordered what I though would work based on shade recommendations, and it looked like the wrong shade, almost too light and pink, when I pumped it out.

Sorry about the long post I just wanted to share where my love affair with Lancôme began✨TEINT IDOLE ULTRA✨ my go to foundation for when I want a full coverage look! For years I have struggled with sensitive skin most foundations would make my skin breakout straight away!!! I would pay makeup artists to do my makeup for a special occasion and before lunch I would see the bumps appearing 🙉 7 years ago as my wedding was approaching I went on the lookout for the perfect foundation for my big day I was on every blog looking up reviews getting samples of foundations and testing them out for the day when I came across Lancôme teint idole ultra! I was SO impressed when the lady from the counter applied it to my skin it was flawless! Covered all my imperfections and had a gorgeous matte finish that I really needed as my skin was quite oily at the time! When it passed the test of withstanding the day without breaking me out I went back to purchase my first bottle (first of many) contacted my makeup artist to let her know I had purchased a certain foundation that I needed her to use for my big day only for her to say ‘omg I love that foundation and use it regularly on my clients it is so beautiful’ Ever since that day it has remained my go-to foundation for special occasions and events 😍😍♥️ it lasts SO well and always get comments and regularly asked what foundation I use! Another thing I really love is at the end of the day is easily removed with the help of my clarasonic which I feel like is really important as so many that I tried was so thick and hard to remove which I hate in a foundation as someone who usually wears a light coverage.

Why would you discontinue this amazing foundation? I went into Sephora to buy my usual oil-free silk cream in bamboo beige and they only had ONE type of foundation and no silk cream in site. I asked a couple workers because I figured surely they just placed it somewhere else but they actually made it seem like I was crazy.

As if the silk cream foundation never even existed. But that’s neither here nor there. Just wanted to mention my twilight zone moment. Anyways, this was my holy grail for many years. I have the hardest time finding a foundation shade to match me so this was end game for me.

And the formula… let’s just say I had people fooled into thinking my skin is “perfect”. I stuck by it even through the formula change (when silk cream use to have a thicker consistency) so this break-up really hurts for me.

Time to find a new brand that I can count on to keep their products consistent. :(.

This is one of the best foundations I have ever tried. Different from many others. I can say it’s great value of the money. This cream, when applied, does not create the feeling that the entire face is covered with heavy cosmetics.

The tone lays down very evenly and uniformly, does not roll down, does not lay down in spots. And at the same time hides skin imperfections well. In rare cases, it requires additional use of concealer or correction pencil.

Doesn’t look like a face mask. It’s like a selfie filter, but it’s just a good base. I recommend it to everyone without any doubt!.

I was so disappointed by the texture of this once applied. It made my skin look so much drier than it was – the opposite of moisturising and photo editing effect! The colour was quite a good match and the pigmentation coverage was alright, but overall I have to be very careful when using this and to really go easy on it, blend well and ensure my skin has been well moisturised before.

I don’t want to throw it away so am slowly using it, but only on days when I’m not too fussed about natural coverage and my skin looking drier and clearly having foundation on. This is not for me and I’m not sure I’ll consider buying another Laura Mercier foundation unless I’ve tried a sample first.

Such a shame as I do love Laura Mercier’s lip products!.

The past few years I have been into more light/medium coverage foundations rather than full. I was wearing the Airbrush Flawless and decided I wanted something lighter, so I turned to this. I do like it, but I don’t find it to be anything amazing and probably won’t repurchase as I prefer the Beautiful Skin over this one.

It has a nice light coverage, but can be layered to be more of a medium coverage. It has more coverage than the average tinted sunscreen or BB/CC cream. I find the finish to be mostly matte, definitely not glowy like her other foundations.

It lasts all day without fading or creasing, even on my extremely oily skin. My skin is also acne prone, and this does not make me break out. It has no discernible fragrance. The packaging is really nice, with a heavy frosted glass container.

Because the container is glass it can’t be squeezed, which makes it difficult to get the last of the product out. I have had no issues with the pump malfunctioning. I wear shade 3 in all CT foundations, and this one is no different.

I have a cool skin tone so I always get the cool option if available. This one does not come in cool, only neutral, so I find it to be slightly yellow on my face. Overall this is definitely a nice basic foundation.

I don’t find anything special about the formula that you couldn’t find elsewhere in a less expensive option. But if you want the glass packaging or are a die hard fan of CT then definitely try it out!.

When I tell you I have tried so many different foundations (Makeup forever, armani, even lamer) i mean I have tested them all, and I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best foundation I have ever tried.

I have combination skin, sometimes dry during the winter but this sits perfectly on my skin. It looks soo natural and this colour is the perfect match and blends in with my skin tone. Also, even if I don’t have time but I put some on with my fingers it blends in so smoothly and looks natural.

I have been using it for 3 years now, I like the light wonder as well but I think the magic is still my favourite because of how it gives good coverage but still looks dewy and fresh. The only thing that isn’t perfect about this is I find if I don’t prime it or set it rubs off a bit in the t-zone at the end of the day.

However, when I do prime it well it lasts forever. Overall, I haven’t found anything better for my skin and I would recommend this to everyone!.

This new foundation is wonderful for me! 49 years old. My critical mother gave me a compliment, she did not know I had foundation on. She thought my skin was that good! For me, I have applied makeup on others and it would look beautiful but i failed applying it to myself.

After all these years I came to my own conclusion that I perhaps was expecting too much and should just accept that it is what it is. I needed to buy new foundation again. I nearly bought another high end brand but decided to try this first.

It took me sometime to make a color match. I tried your camera app to match and decided on the 2nd choice instead of the preferred choice. I bought the sponge as well. I was not expecting much and my major hangup was at least get the right shade the first time.

I did not know if my skincare would even work with this. I have no primers. After the application (I normally powder because in the past i felt it was the only way to help the foundation blur up my skin.

Not only did I not need that powder in attempt to make it look more presentable the foundation alone just made my face , my skin look as perfect as my critical eye could see. I tried all types of lighting from the harsh to the ring light and it shocked me! I had all but resigned to looking just “meh” and give in to it and now I feel great with only adding mascara! I am a simple farm, rual area, married to a wonderful man.

He sees me as beautiful with or without makeup but he definitely noticed how happy I was with this foundation. When I asked him his thoughts on my new foundation he replied that my skin looked so smooth and perfect all with a smile.

Thank you for creating a foundation that looks this beautiful and the ease of application. The less I tried to make it look perfect the better it looks. I use 1 pump, I dotted a smear on my forehead and used your sponge to blend it in, went to the nose where I am red and have pores then went to the cheeks and side of face.

This is quick, it looks seamless, it covered blotches and chicken pox scars. I did not used it directly under my eyes but did very lightly blend it with a tiny bit then used a teeny bit of shape tape concealer.

Just a tiny bit. I now feel confident and comfortable with foundation and this is the first time I can say that. I hope to enjoy this foundation for my remaining years because I will have mature skin and still feel like I look my best and then some.

It is the first time I can say and appreciate the term Holy Grail. P. s. I do not read reviews by “influencers”. Personally, they just all say the same thing about a free product. It is when you have to pay for something that I consider an expensive luxury and find it it works for you that an opinion is worth looking into.

Absolutely thrilled with this foundation I received as a complimentary sample! I was afraid I chose the wrong shade but when applying it, it completely matched my skin tone. In my opinion, the shade looked darker than when it was applied.

This gave me medium coverage with just 2 pumps. It blurred my pores and gave me great coverage on my imperfections. It never oxidized throughout the day and it didn’t smudge or become oily. It is more of a natural finish than other foundations.

I usually use Matte foundation but found some can look a bit cakey or accentuates my dry patches on my skin, but this didn’t do that at all! To top it off, I felt like my other make up applied much smoother on top of this, such as my bronzer and eyebrow powder.

It didn’t smudge off and actually looked better after a few hours of wear. It’s pretty lightweight even though the consistency of the foundation looked like it was on the thicker side. I’m really pleased it’s also buildable and doesn’t look like I have so much make up on.

As make up forever says, you can use different application methods for different coverage options (such as using your fingers if you want light coverage or a makeup sponge for more coverage). This actually did work work as I tried several ways of applying it, but preferred using my sponge since I enjoy more coverage.

At first, I was skeptical that it gave an HD skin finish (as if I had a filter) but I put this to the test and took a selfie, which i was shocked because it really did look like I had a filter on! The claims of it being waterproof and sweat proof are believable so far as I wore this on warmer days and didn’t experience any fading.

I recommend this fully!.

I purchased shade 1N10 which is the closest match to the old formula’s shade Y235 yet it is not really a true match. I also went up a shade to the next higher neutral and I’m somewhere in between the two really.

The texture of this new foundation is more moisturizing which comes at a price in that it may settle into lines if you over apply or don’t blot it down with a beauty blender when done. I felt the finish looked natural – not exactly like skin but very nice thought not much coverage.

This is more of a skin tone evening foundation If you want coverage I find you need to go over those areas which need more coverage a second time and add another layer patting/stippling the foundation on.

It seems so many foundations today want to get that natural skin look and are either changing up their formulas or coming out with skin tints. For me I like the old formula better – I was a better shade match, the formula didn’t settle into fine lines as this one can at times and the old version already was very skin like and natural looking.

That being said this is a really nice foundation but it could be a little less thick in my opinion and perhaps it is a tad too moist. I think the Born This Way Foundation is better than this version by MUF and although very expensive the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate is wonderful and the L’Oreal True Match Healthy Luminous Makeup is truly a drugstore standout for great shade matching and skin like finish.

Bobbi Brown’s skin foundation (name may be a little different) is also stellar. I will keep the two foundations I bought from this new version and might even repurchase down the road. Honestly though I preferred the older version and did buy a few on ebay to keep.

By the time I use all this up I’m sure MUF will have a new version out yet again or maybe bring back the old one?.

Non drying, lasts all day no need to put more on later in the day or for the evening. A very light amount makes all the difference, evens out any blemishes or discolour on your face it really is magic.

skin never looks cakey or as though you have any makeup on. I’ve been using this for years, A tub lasts well and I use it most days. I’ve tried other brands but the colour fades or disappears or there’s dryness or irritation.

I wouldn’t be without it! I have fair hair, light skin with a yellow tone in the sun and I use nurture all year with patience added occasionally (only because I bought it thinking I’d need a darker shade for the summer months but infact it wasn’t needed) or used for a winter evening out.

I have tried many loose mineral powder foundations ranging from Bare Minerals, Jane Iredale, Alima Pure, Zao to Lily Lolo, but so far I like the most Inika powders. I’m currently finishing the baked Inika mineral foundation but I think the loose version has a little bit more coverage although it is slightly messier to use; I also think it’s more cost-effective.

First I use the concealer wherever (if) needed and then this powder all over. It is easy to build up without looking cakey. So even if I am heavy handed I never look too overdone with Inika powders. Skin looks very natural.

Not too shiny and not too mat either. I only got a tester size of freedom because I was tempted to try it out but I like it a lot so I will be buying the loose powder version after I finish the baked powder which I had in Freedom (medium, yellow toned) and Trust (which turned a bit pink on me).

So this one in Freedom is my happy pretty looking skin product and great colour.

I love the natural texture of this foundstion. I mix it with my face moisturisr so it blends into the skin really well, on its own it gets cakey and creases. But i have dry skin, oily skin may not need a moisturiser.

Great colour too, creates a smooth finish resulting in a more natural look. when applied little and a madeup look when applied more. I dont even need concealer with this. I also have the peace of mind that its non toxic and not harming my skin.

Given I’ve been hooked on NARS Creamy Concealer for years, I was so excited to try their version of skin care foundation, especially given the rave reviews I’ve seen. I have tested for 3 days now, using different application techniques.

I am 32 with combination, generally “good” non-acne skin with some visible freckles and sun damage and am sadly generally disappointed with this product. Per the NARS demo video, I first tried warming the product and applying with my hands for a low-key errand day.

I was generally pleased with the medium level coverage and natural finish using this technique, but there was nothing wowing that day. I next tried with a Real Techniques sponge and this was surprisingly the worse application, although I generally love the finish that sponges give me.

After about 8 hours or normal wear at work, I noticed the product breaking up in my oily areas (in between my eyebrows, above my nose, and on my nose), while also settling into my fine lines. Lastly, I tried applying with the Real Techniques face brush and consistent with other YT reviews I’ve seen, this was my favorite application.

For the first time, my skin did have a beautiful natural luminous finish upon application, BUT. again, I noticed the product breaking up after a day of wear similar to the day before. Overall, I agree with the marketing of this product as medium coverage.

Consistent with other YT reviews I’ve watched, I do not consider it “buildable,” nor long-wearing. Given the price point of this product and NARS’ reputation, I really expected more. If you’re truly looking for skincare foundation, I would suggest other options.

To give you a comparison between other brands I’ve used and loved, my staples are Maybelline Fit Me Matte, Clinique Superbalanced and Even Better, and Este Lauder Double Wear. I consider them all more long-wearing, medium to full coverage, with natural but better skin that I get complimented on.

This formula could be better.

I really love this foundation! It seems to work perfectly with my skin. I have pretty dry skin with mild rosacea and eczema so it can be hard to find foundation that doesn’t just accentuate the dryness in certain areas but this one doesn’t do that and in fact works better than most foundations I’ve tried! It sits very nicely on the skin and leaves it looking smooth and natural.

There’s no glow or dewiness really which I like since because of my dry skin most of my foundations and setting sprays are dewy and hydrating but sometimes I don’t want my skin to look dewy, I just want it to look natural yet beautiful.

It seems to wear pretty well and at night when I go to take it off I don’t see dryness shining through or cracks in the foundation, it still looks good! It takes to my skin and even looks way better than the Sheer Glow foundation which I had high hopes for but doesn’t seem to agree with dryness for some reason.

I’ve always thought that all my foundations needed to be “neutral” but I went to Sephora and got perfectly shade matched with Yukon wich has cool undertones I realized that it looks way better and more natural then most neutral shades I’ve had.

This has become the foundation I use most days, along with my Tower28 tinted sunscreen, I do wish it had sunscreen in it though, that would make it perfect! but maybe that would mess with the formula and since I do not want the formula to change one bit it’s probably perfect just the way it is.

So this has very quickly become my favorite foundation and the only reason it’s not getting 5 stars like it should just for the formula and effectiveness alone is because I absolutely cannot stand the pump! It is such a bad pump and squirts out way too much product in one go and there’s no way to control the flow of it when it comes out and it is so frustrating and the reason it doesn’t get 5 stars.

Put a better pump on your amazing foundation Nars!! Since pumps are the best it sucks they put such a crappy one on it.

MY EXPERIENCE: + TRUE COVERAGE: high-medium, buildable + TRUE FINISH: very dewy, glowing / not self-setting + OXIDIZATION: yes; this does sharply oxidize to the point where you may want to consider choosing a shade lighter than normal to counteract the change + MELASMA TEST: fail; was able to see through to all of my melasma discoloration + PACKAGING: I’ve always loved the simplistic luxury of NARS.

This calculates to be $49. 00/ounce, which I would consider high-end pricing + RECOMMENDATION: it’s not every day that I wear a foundation, and find minimal flaws with it! At the end of the night, this foundation looked like I just practically applied it.

It did show slight wear in my expression areas – but that’s expected. Although VERY luminous, it didn’t look excessively oily or greasy. I’m sure I could have attained a LOT more wear out of it! This is truly a smoothing formula that I cannot wait to wear time and time again! On a grand scale, this is by far one of the best-wearing foundations I’ve ever tried! Let me start by saying that my opinions and experiences are my own and may or may not reflect your own personal experience or opinion. I have normal-combination skin and like everyone I have some texture though not a lot.

I also have a few fine lines here and there starting to form though despite my age my skin is in excellent condition. I’m a lot closer to 40 than I am to 35 and usually get clocked for mid 20’s at most.

I recieved this in the shade Pearl and upon first application the shade seemed pretty spot on. I tend to have a difficult time nailing down a perfect match because I not only run between shades, my undertone is also hard to nail down.

Most foundations run either too dark or too light and the undertones run too pink or too yellow(including neutral undertones). I was excited when I saw that this one looked like I may have finally nailed down a perfect match first try.

It did wind up oxidizing a little though and as it dried down more it did start to pull a bit more yellow though I was able to still work with it. I also tend to lean more towards light to medium or medium/buildable coverage and natural to slightly dewy/luminous (though not disco ball or oil slick) finishes and I like products that feel light weightless on the skin.

This has a medium-full buildable coverage and is infused with coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid and oil free. It also claims to “masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin” and that the coverage is “so undetectable” that skin looks naturally flawless.

Unfortunately for me that wasn’t the case, I tried using it multiple times and tried many different applications and used 1/2 to a full pump and for me it felt very heavy and mask like despite not using that much and I found that what little texture and fine lines I do have it actually accentuated rather than blurred and looked dry in aome spots.

I did not experience that flawless natural skin-like finish that the claims boast. I tried it with and without primer, different primers even the primer that is supposed to work with the foundation and no such luck.

I just couldn’t get it to work for me or work the way I like my foundation to work. I will say that one plus for me was that it is fragrance free which is nice because some products have just way too much fragrance so if you are sensitive to fragrance this will be good for you.

Also if you like full coverage, this will also be great for you because it is full coverage indeed, it can cover mistakes from last week 😄. I think had it not been so heavy feeling and I were just a few years younger without some of these beginning signs of aging I probably would have liked it a bit more.

That being said, though I couldn’t get it to work for me for it intended purpose of a foundation, I did find that it’s not too bad as a slight spot concealer. I actually ran out of my favorite concealer and this was the closest thing to me at the moment so I put a spot on a p alette plate and mixed in a couple drops of a priming oil and applied with a concealer blending brush and it seemed to work really well that way.

The priming oil helped kind of counteract the matte finish and also thinned it out so it wasn’t so heavy though I wouldn’t use it like that for all over unless I wanted a massive break-out. So overall though it didn’t work for me personally at least not for its intended purpose I still found some use for it.

If you’re into the full coverage thing then it may be good for you, otherwise if you prefer lighter coverage or have any signs of aging at all I would probably just pass on this one.

I received this item for free in return for my review. Born this Way by Too Faced is in my all time Top Five favorite foundations and is a foundation I feel everyone should own or keep on their kit for clients.

It is extremely versatile and leaves skin looking like skin while smoothing and blurring out any texture you may have while lasting all day if applied properly. It’s not matte and it’s not dewy, it is a true satin skin line finish but can be manipulated to be matte or Dewey.

It’s extremely versatile, it can be used with lotion for sheer coverage or you can increase the coverage by layering the product once it has dried down. It also can be made either matte or more luminous and dewy by simply using the proper primer and setting powder for a matte look or using a moisturizing primer (after using moisturizing skin care) with luminosity in it and staying away from powder and just using a dewy setting spray.

It’s fantastic for all skin types, if you struggle with combination skin and visible pores this foundation is for you. A pore filling primer placed strategically will make this foundation truly shine.

This is a more affordable dupe of the Giorgio Armani Powerfabric. It does oxidize a bit upon drying so I suggest shade matching using your neck and stepping into daylight after it’s dried to find your proper shade.

You do NOT need any setting powder with this foundation during colder dryer months and in humid and hot weather a finely milled setting powder like Hourglass carries will make this last all day. There is only one drawback to this foundation which is stunning on the face, and that is if you have sensitive acne prone skin you may break out from daily use.

I believe it’s the coconut water used in the foundation that breaks me out as Coconut oil is highly comedogenic, which means it can clog pores. Consequently, it may actually make acne worse for some people by clogging pores and making acne worse.

However if you need a stunning foundation for a night out and use an anti-acne primer it can provide some form of protection for your skin and it, in my opinion, is worth the risk.

I would not consider the foundation as medium full coverage I would consider it as a full coverage. my skin is very acne prone with lots of scarring and combination skin. this with one coat plus maybe a few touch ups provided enough coverage to go with it.

it felt very light it wasn’t setting heavy on my skin as a lot of the other full coverage foundations do that I have tried. the only complaint I have is possibly the staying power it kind of tended to wipe off around my mouth area but that was like 8 hours of wearing it so that’s not really a complaint I would say lol.

I was very hesitant about posting a picture without it on because I tend to be self-conscious about my face without having any makeup on. but for people like me that has trouble skin I wanted to show you guys how well this product worked for my skin.

a lot of the times we view foundations on advertisements that show the before and after pictures with someone with already beautiful flawless skin and it kind of deceives the idea of if not people with skin problems should purchase it or not because it doesn’t show us how well it would work for our kind of skin.

that’s one thing I can say that I cannot stand about makeup advertisements is they show the product before and after on someone with flawless skin so it really doesn’t give us a good idea of how well the product even works.

I spent hundreds of dollars on foundations due to the product being so deceiving on in the advertisement showing it on a flawless skin and then I’ll go out and purchase the product and then it’s terrible for my skin type so it’s funny wasted.

I can say though that even with this product being $40 a bottle I will go out and repurchase this again due to how well it works. as this product if I could find products like this more often that were at a medium price point that actually worked I wouldn’t mind spending the extra money on it that way I know for sure that the product is going to be a good one.

I have tons of bottles of foundations that I’ve bought based on advertisements that are just sitting in my makeup containers. this would be a great purchase. however my before and after pictures are me applying the foundation about 1:00 p.

m. and wearing it until I would say about 10:00 p. m. the picture with the foundation on is with a drugstore primer the foundation and then a drugstore setting powder that’s all and then later the night when I took the foundation off that’s when I took the after picture of my skin with nothing on it beside the moisturizer.

I love DermBlend foundation with the dropper! However, the first time I bought one, I do not remember the shade, threw out box, and now, on that particular bottle, can find no info at all on the shade it is.

So when ran out, i tried the color chart. I am not a pale skin but not a dark haired tan, somewhere in the middle. So by the chart, I have bought 25 N and then 30 N, both look good in the bottle, but when put on, both are too light.

I feel that I need to go up either to a color that the chart may look as too dark, just to be sure. I reasoned that I can mix a drop of one of the lighter shades in if need. Or maybe I need a warm or cool instead of N.

how do I know? The chart could use improvement,ore explanation and more true pictures, I believe, on different color hair maybe. Anyay, now that is summer, I am going to try the CC full coverage for everyday.

I really hope I pick the right shade this time and that the descriptions. So my reviews 4 out of 5 stars is due to the colors representing too light. Thank you and I love all your products! Don’t stop making this, please!!.

I am so glad someone at Ulta showed me this product forever ago. I asked for a foundation that could be mixed with oils and serums underneath and was lead to this. Dude- literally every time I where this my friends think it looks amazing and ask me what fondation I use.

Every time I tell them they have never heard of it! Dermablend- get on it and try it yourself. It’s so good for my dry arizona skin. It works with spf, oil, and serum underneath for me. Even the concelear by dermablend rocks in my opinion.

I can use a brush, beauty blender, or clean fingers to blend it in and it always works (with a base primer on first). I love it. It gives me a dewy look but not too oily. Maybe after a good 5 hours of where do I look a little oily in my T zone but I can easily Pat that away or put a little tiny pit of powder over it.

I love it, clearly lol.

The effect is very matte and with so much coverage the finish is a bit artificial. In our case the skin did not have too many imperfections and perhaps the coverage was excessive but in a skin with many imperfections the finish would be more beautiful since the coverage would be more necessary and appropriate.

It does not smell of any fragrance or perfume. For sensitive skin or skin that gets irritated right away, this is good news. Of course, it covers everything you have to cover: dark circles, acne, rosacea, veins, scars, etc.

The effect of silicones is noticeable as they help to hide the pores and thus correct the possible texture. It does not leave your skin smooth and perfect (or any foundation) but it does reduce the rough texture of the skin a little.

I am totally & happily dependent on Vichy Dermablend as it gives such excellent all day concealment. I have small brown areas due to sun damage and much redness due to ‘thread veins’ and have used this product without any untoward effects for many years, with a little moisturiser underneath.

I don’t need powder on top of it as skin is not greasy and it looks fine without. It does not ‘upset’ my skin like many products can, with no tendency to inflamed spots. The colour match 35 is perfect for me.

It was recommended to me years ago by a friend with a big ‘port-wine’ birthmark on her face and it was very effective for her too. Highly recommended. Please don’t change it!.

This medium to full coverage corrective foundation is suitable for all skin types. skin imperfections and blemish prone skin. The formula conceals hyperpigmentation, all skin imperfections, and blemish prone skin.

Ensures that you have an even skin tone, without feeling too heavy. For areas that need a slightly more coverage, the light fluid is buildable and is easy to blend for a perfect finish. Would advise for combination skin types when using this corrective foundation to seal in and ensure it is longer lasting, to layer with Vichys translucent setting powder, this step will delay any oils shining through, and provide added confidence for all day wear.

Im a fan of Glo Minerals pressed base powder foundation, however for evening I wanted something with full coverage. I have oily skin so chose this Matte Finish II foundation. There is a limited array of colours which is really disappointing for Glo Minerals.

Im a ‘Natural light’ in there pressed base but have worn the golden light as well. So I chose the golden light shade. But it is just slightly too dark for me to wear without bronzing my neck or having a light layer of fake tan on my body.

The matte finish is good, but disappointedly this product settles into my pores too much and draws attention to them. This product dries and sets quickly on the skin, so you have to work fast during the application.

It didn’t layer well for me either, as when i tried to add more product it moves the previous product around on my face and then gives a blotchy appearance.

Lovely finish, leaves skin with healthy glow. Really I shouldve ordered the Golden Fair instead of Golden Light and though Ive literally trawled YouTube and Google images to death, there are no counters in the UK or the option to order samples (I think) so shade selection will always be a bit of a gamble.

I am not pale and even in winder a bit of a light medium shade (depending on different brands) but this is slightly dark for my neck and its always nice to match the neck, however; its as though the product changes to my skin tone the longer I wear it – in fact it gets better the longer its worn – definitely triggered a Glow Minerals obsession.

Im now the proud owner of the bronzer and a different foundation with foundation brush – LOVE LOVE LOVE this company. Customer Services quick to reply and delivery was good too.

I had been using Maybelline Pure Makeup foundation for years as I’ve suffered with acne and wanted to kind to my skin but they have discontinued it, sadly. So I wanted to find something similar – oil free and light on my skin.

As a fan of mineral makeup I thought I’d try GloMinerals as it seemed to have good reviews. It gives excellent cover (moreso than the Maybelline Pure makeup) and glides on easily. The colour is just right for my skin (natural light) and it’s easy to blend.

However, the only thing is it is a bit heavier than I’m used to and feels a little pasty and thick when applied. It is also more matt than I was expecting considering it is the satin finish. But, generally I’m happy with it and so far my skin seems to be ok – no break outs or clogged pores.

I initially bought this in 4N a few months ago, and it was too light so I didn’t use it. I decided to pick up 2 more shades during the Sephora sale: 11. 5P and 10N. I didn’t open 10N, but I can say 11.

5P is slightly darker than Fenty 120 yet it worked out really well for me. Unfortunately, the shade match is the only good thing I can say about this formula. I don’t know why, but this foundation hates my skin and refused to blend into it.

I tried this formula with and without primer, and tried different primers (Tacha silk canvas, NYX marshmallow, Milani No-Pore Zone, Milk Hydrogrip) but this doesn’t look good on my skin. It refused to melt into my skin, regardless of whether I used a brush or sponge.

Even my favorite foundation brush left it looking like a weird mask sitting on my skin that would move around and get patchy. It sunk into my pores and clung to texture I didn’t know I had, but would slide off of other surfaces.

It immediately creased and settled into fine lines. This doesn’t happen with any other foundation I have tried, and I couldn’t make it look good. My skincare was the same as always, and I waited about an hour after doing so to apply my foundation.

I even tried blotting off any excess product before applying primer and foundation, but it was still awful. The best it ever looked was the last time I used it, because I tried to blot it down before setting it with my normal Huda powder.

Most of the foundation lifted with the blotting paper, except for the weird bits that wanted to stick to my pores and surprise texture. I have extremely oily skin, and it’s pretty common for me to have a foundation with a radiant or dewy finish crease or break apart within 2 hours.

Not this foundation, I couldn’t even finish my makeup! I had high hopes because I’ve seen and read reviews that say this foundation works even for oily skin types. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t like my face.

I have never been so unsatisfied with a product to come back and write a 1 star review, but here we are. I loved their old formula- it was the perfect coverage, the shade blended perfectly into my skin tone.

I don’t wear a full face of foundation often, especially now that hospital workers are wearing masks daily as part of their required uniform. But since buying this foundation and letting the worker color match me – I get angry and disappointed every time I put this foundation on.

It ruins my getting-ready process on my most important days. Of course, the “closest matching color” makes my skin look very orange in the sun light. The foundation feels heavy like it would provide a good amount of coverage, but in actuality does a very poor job.

I have to use a second foundation every time to balance the shade and match my face. I’d have returned it if I didn’t go also a couple months between buying the foundation and actually getting to wear it.

I’m just angry at this point and tired of putting on a full face of foundation in hopes of it magically working out for me each time, just to scrub it all off minutes later. I also hate that it keeps a wet feeling, even if I put a translucent powder on top of it.

It makes my face feel gross, and I always end up going without foundation.

I am trying Sephora’s Best Skin Ever Liquid Foundation (11. 5 P) for the first time. I had been using Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 by Clinique for quite a few years (and they are discontinuing it) and was looking for a replacement product.

I have fair/light skin with lots of dark spots and sun damage. I don’t wear a lot of makeup or products and mostly enjoy tinted moisturizers. That being said, I decided to try this foundation based on the many positive reviews! I give this foundation four stars (one star off as I don’t love it) for the range of colors that could match my skin tone/issues.

It wears very light and I like that and is medium coverage which I preffer. I normally can get away with moisturizing prior to foundation products but with this foundation I discovered it’s not good over top a moisturizer so I tried without moisturizer and it stayed on much better (without marks or uneven blending).

I have sensitive combination skin (drier with age) and sometimes break out. I had a few blemishes and this covered it well without the need for a lot of concealer. I will probably buy it again. We will see.

This foundation is incredible. Let me preface this by saying that I have used Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion foundation for years and have never found a cheaper or better substitute. When The Ordinary foundations came out, I began by trying the serum foundation in 2.

0N. It was a perfect match for my skintone but a bit too dewy for my oily skin. No matter how many touch-ups with powder I made during the day, it would get shiny again. However, I was impressed with the coverage from the serum foundation and felt that it allowed my skin to breathe.

I just didn’t like the glow. Plus, the staying power was not very good without being paired with The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer, so I decided to try the Coverage foundation to see how different it might be.

The differences are like night and day. The Coverage foundation is AMAZING. It melts beautifully into my skin. I am using 2. 0N and the colour match is perfect. It makes me look healthy and gives my skin a gorgeous airbrushed effect.

I do not use any primer with it. I simply apply it after applying The Ordinary serums and Natural Moisturising Factors. For blush, I use a cream stick blush by Hourglass, followed by a few pats of NARS Translucent Light Reflecting Setting Powder (Pressed) for a natural look or Shiseido Invisible Silk Pressed Powder for more staying power.

I am HOOKED on the Coverage foundation. It is so beautiful and affordable! Please never change it!!.

I LOVE that the ordinary has both options I constantly go back and forward with foundation types, which is a dewy and coverage one, I already reviewed their serum foundation (it’s the best fyi, must try too) but their coverage one works WONDERS, it’s definitely a medium to full, buildable, long lasting, WEIGHTLESS (hard to find with med-full coverage foundations) LETS NOT FORGET.

AFFORDABLE $6 with some spare change… LIKE WHAT?! It’s my daily go to foundation, I usually do the serum one bc it’s such a sheer but great coverage, with a perfectly dewy finish. The coverage is perfect for an all day AND night wear, dewy finish but works so perfect with a light powder and becomes a perfect matte finish.

This is definitely my comforting foundation lol a pump goes a long way, works great with a foundation brush but for me a beauty sponge just gives me a perfect layer. Even with your fingers it works perfect.

It looks watery when you pump but you’ll be very surprised how buildable the coverage goes. I have a combo of dry and oily skin but with this foundation I have no complaints. Simply a must tryyyyyy.

I’d wanted to try this foundation for a while but was really confused by the numbers and letters representing colour choice! In the end about 2 years ago, I took the plunge and ordered 2. 0N which equates to light medium neutral.

I don’t have pink or redness to my face but I can wear a light medium beige foundation eg Lancôme 03. The 2. 0N is a touch darker than my skin but only slightly ( mainly in winter when no sun though) the coverage and the serum are both great, the serum just being thinner consistency.

The coverage foundation is not thick though. You need the smallest amount for your whole face and it blends well too. You can reapply later on and it doesn’t crack or crease. Extremely natural. I have just made my second purchase, yes the first 2 I bought lasted that long!! This time I bought the 2.

0N and the shade lighter 1. 2N light neutral. The 1. 2N is great if wanting to use bronzer or blusher. You can also mix them and slightly contour. This is a premium product for a high street price. The shades are very forgiving and as long as you stay at your depth you can’t go wrong! I recommend 100%.
