20 Best Cover For Macbook Air (2023 Updated)

I bought one of these in Gold two years ago, & it held up fairly well. I believe I bought the gold one from Amazon. It of course cracked & needed replaced. but I got two years out of it, so I’m happy.

I recently bought a new one, in Marsala Red, instead of a smooth feel. its almost soft to touch. The color is more vibrant & I absolutely love it. It was packaged really well, & you can’t beat the price.

I received this within about 5 days after ordering. I am definitely happy with this product.

All great except for the keyboard cover seems to not stay on. I’ve had the similar type on my other macbook pro, I love these covers, they hold up extremely well and works very well in protecting my laptop and excellent price.

I love them. Just be sure to read the instructions on how to order the right one so you don’t make the mistake I’ve made on my first order. I pretty much had to eat the cost.

This case is very smooth and Amazing, it comes with a keyboard pad and everything. The case is amazing and was easy to put on. One thing though, when I put the keyboard onto my Macbook keyboard it was kinda hard to type which is a big problem for me because I love to type and work on my Mac.

The case kinda makes it heat up so I take it off once and a while but honest this is totally worth it compared to other cases.

Understated, classic, minimalist with a very practical and stylish strap handle. Difficult to find yet affordable. Definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

Seems like good quality. The only thing is size is just as big as the macbook. If youre not careful my run the zip over the mac edges. Otherwise good product

So frustrating to wait 2 weeks for this to come in and it doesn’t even fit my laptop. Tried to stick to shopping with Walmart but this is the 2nd time in a row I ordered something, waited weeks, and when I get the product it’s damaged or doesn’t fit.

I gave y’all a chance Walmart but I’ll be doing my shopping on Amazon from now on. Never had this problem with Amazon and if I did they always made it right some kind of way. What I get for the time I wasted because y’all are selling false or broken items? Nothing at all besides a headache and more time spent trying to get the problem fixed.

If there are any customers reading this, switch apps and go shop else where. Will save you a lot of time and aggravation.

In the past 6 years, I’ve gone through 6 different cases between my original MacBook and my current MacBook Pro. I’ve tried the cool graphic designs. They are only so-so for protection, and the graphics eventually scratch or wear off.

I’ve tried a ‘rubber’ case. Did not like it for its ‘grabbiness’ going in/out of my my backpack or brief case. THIS case is exactly right. Superb protection agains drops, perfect fit, not too heavy, sheds heat well during long use sessions, and looks exactly like it’s advertised.

Very well made, fits perfectly. However, my MacBook Air runs hotter and cycles on the CPU cooling fan more often with the case attached. So, I removed the clear window from the bottom half of the case to allow more air flow for better cooling.

It was simple to snap on and the fit is perfect. While I doubt it would do much should I drop my laptop from a height, it is a bulk-free way to add minor protection from scratches, dings, and other wear.

I got the clear so I could cover it in stickers but I’ve only added a couple so far. Would recommend.

I bought this thinking it would protect my MacBook Air, but it only provides SCRATCH protection, not DROP protection, so beware. Unfortunately I learned the hard way.

The case is fine, I’m just not sure how “protective” it would be if the laptop is actually dropped. Other than that, it would brother he laptop outer from being scratched.

I really wanted a keyboard cover and the case cover was a nice bonus. Unfortunately, my MacBook gets even hotter with this. I’m not sure why Apple products are so prone to overheat. I’ll be returning this.

This is a set of two hard plastic pieces that snap on the lid and bottom of the MacBook Air 13. 3 Laptop. The concept is the protect the appearance from scratches on your Laptop. It can also change the color and provide an alternative surface for personalized stickers.

This shell will not provide adequate protection against drops and hard falls. It is not an Otterbox. The plastic can become brittle in time and chip or crack especially at the clips or corners. This product is ridiculously expensive unless purchased on sale.

However it is the only type of product available to offer some minimal protection for your Laptop especially if you carry it in a backpack or book bag without a sleeve. Using this cover up will increase the value of your Laptop for future selling or trading it in.

I got the rose gold MacBook and love the color but tbh it didn’t really match the pink I have in my setup so I wanted a cover that would match. Snaps on easily and stays put for someone who doesn’t really move their Mac around.

It’s never popped off opening and closing it. And I can put stickers on it without having to worry about damaging my MacBook which is something I never did with my 2016 model but always wanted to. So, overall, if you want a cute snap-on cover then get it but I can’t speak to how well it stands up if you’re constantly putting your MacBook in your bag or something.

Super gorgeous purple color. Stylish and keeps the unwanted scratches on my mac away. Has kept its shape for a long time. Only a little part chipped away but that is because I was being clumsy. The cover still looks great after many uses.

It was also very easy to attach to the laptop!.

Since the MacBook Pro with Touchbar 13″ laptop is so new, it has been nigh on impossible to find any manufacturer that has made a hard case for it. Since it is very expensive indeed I have been highly reluctant to use it until I find a hard case for it and wince I use Mobile Fun all the time, I was happy to discover that they were amongst the first to offer a quality case for it by Olixar.

Now there are also one or two other companies that claim to have made a case for the MBP with touchbar but having wasted both time and money on inferior cases in the past, I placed my order with Mobile Fun straightaway, safe in the knowledge that as soon as the Olixar case was ready, they’d send it out to be, it would fit, and that would be all there was to it.

Mobile Fun didn’t have the case in stock when I placed my order, but when I emailed them to ask when they’d have it, they gave me a date and shortly after that date, I got my case by Olixar. Having ordered two previous cases from Mobile Fun by Olixar, I knew what to expect: High grade materials, perfect fit of the hard case on both the screen part and the bottom part (other cheap cases from a popular auction website fit the screen but the bottom shell fell off or cracked after a day or two), and no sharp or unfinished edges like many cheap cases on a popular auction website from China.

The icing on the cake is that Olixar offer a 2-year guarantee which is unheard of for cases of this nature. The case was not cheap, but neither was it expensive. I think for the money, it is worth every penny.

It is slim, fits like a glove and protects the MBP 100%. I would buy this case even if it cost double the money! Buy one today, fit it and then forget about it. I wish everything was as well thought out and designed as this Olixar case.

It’s not often I purchase a product going on nothing but what others have said about it, but sometimes one has to make an exception. After spendig *only* $4. 7something THOUSAND dollars on my technological investment, I figured spending only another $30-50 was a pretty safe move to protect it.

I have never previously owned a laptop, and so never had cause to protect one. Where to start? Start at the best. Having read the previous reviews on this page, and seeing the years of research and experience that were behind it, I figured I’d take the plunge and try out the Olixar Toughguard case.

Look no further! This case is brilliant. Lightweight, tough (as the name suggests), that reassuring snap sound as it holds snug around the edges of the laptop casing gives perfect confidence that it won’t fall off.

There are ventilation holes underneath to allow for cooling, plenty of space for ports, semi-transparent to disguise the whole mac look (less theft risk with a generic look – who wants to steal a cheap knockoff???).

Just bought this hardcase laptop cover for a recently purchased Apple MacBook 13 inch with touchbar model. It comes in two separate covers one for the top and one for the bottom. In a matte black colour it feels very smooth to the touch & looks sleek.

The top cover fits perfectly and gives a feeling of reassurance that the laptop is well protected from any potential scratches etc. I found the bottom cover slightly loose but as other reviewers have pointed there are very little decent covers available for this latest Apple laptop so I’m still giving it 5 stars because of the low price and value for money.

It’s a bit like a case cover for a phone I’ve never bought a laptop cover before but certainly worth it if you are worried about scratching or damaging the surface of your very (very) expensive MacBook!.

this fits the new macbook air 2020 with the magic keyboard! I haven’t had it for long so can’t say how long it will last but every part of it fits and the color is amazing. feels like a matte finish which is super soft yet might leave finger prints.

i did not use the screen protector because bubbles drive me crazy but it did seem like the cheapest piece in this package.

I got this case in the mail today and it is great I love every part about it. Comes with the case a keyboard cover and even a screen protector. The only complaint I have is that they screen protector isn’t that great like I have a ton of bubbles in it.

This is a wonderful protective cover for my MacBook Air. It fits perfectly and the added key cover is a real plus. It is very light weight, which I like because I did not want any added weight. Perfect fit. It’s a 2-piece snap-in case that covers the MacBook almost completely with a keyboard cover. Typing speed will be slower with the keyboard cover.

I like Speck products. I have purchased Speck products in the past and been happy with them. When I ordered this cover in 2019 I was very happy with the style and fit. Over time I say, “This Smartshell is horrible!” I purchased case December 2019 and by September 2020 the case had cracks along the edges and pieces have fallen off.

My laptop in on my desk 99% of the time, so not much handling that would cause wear and tear. There is a warranty which Speck honors, however, I have not been able to replace the cover due to low or no inventory.

I really would like a sturdy case for my MacBook Air.

I’m conflicted. I’ve been a longtime fan of Speck for years (any new technology I get is immediately covered by one of Speck’s reliable cases) but I have to admit I’m not a fan of this one, unfortunately.

I purchased the Speck Macbook Smartshell 13″ case in the color “Wildberry Purple. ” The pictures online portray it as a sort of matte fushia, but it actually is more of an ultraviolet color in real life, and not extremely matte either.

(Though the color does come across a little warmer than it actually is in the pictures I’ve uploaded. ) The hue of the color is not a huge issue though. The main thing I was most disappointed by was the fact that on day one, after staying inside all day on a couch, a bed, and a chair during this period of mandatory confinement, somehow tiny scratches have already developed on the front cover.

This is the first time I’ve ever had something from Speck scratch so easily on the first day, and I’m still trying to figure out how it could have even occurred since the laptop was only ever resting on a table unused for the majority of the day.

Another thing I was disappointed to find was that the case does not fit flush against the laptop at all – in fact, there’s so much give to the case that I wonder what would happen if I were to drop it.

The unnecessary give is distracting and I feel it ultimately hinders some of the protection the case could provide to the laptop. Overall, not super satisfied with the case, and I’m glad I got it on sale and didn’t pay full price for it.

I’m still a Speck fan, but this case was a bit of a dud.

Appearance: The color is somewhat close to the picture on the website. I was disappointed the front cover arrived scratched due to the odd packaging for this case. Speck ships these covers in a box that has a front side cut open so you can see/feel the color of the case, but this type of packing resulted in small scratches.

I didn’t bother contacting customer service because there was a high chance the replacement was going to come the same way. Product: I noticed when I open my Macbook from time to time, the top cover tends to pop off.

It’s frustrating because I have to pop it back into place at times and I worry the clips that hold the top of the MacBook might break off. The bottom cover stays in place without any issues. Final thoughts: I am happy with the product overall.

Fits right on top of keyboard. No more dirty fingerprints on the keyboard. Hopefully, it will protect against some spills.

It is a very snug fitting case and is a good value. However, because it fits so tightly with hard plastic parts holding it in place, I do not believe I can remove it without breaking the case.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I received my MacBook case. It is listed as “grey” but mine is blue marble, not grey. It does not look the same as the photos or any of the pictures shown in the reviews of others receiving what should be the same product.

The plastic on the one corner by the screen is a bit weird. It also came with a black bottom. All of the photos show a clear bottom case and even reviews on the website mention the clear bottom case so I was very surprised to have received a black bottom case.

I was so excited about my purchase (having paid exchange rates and customs charges on top of the price of the case) but now feel let down by my experience.

I always had a tough time committing to the MacBook cases in the Apple store. I felt like the options were limited and I needed something different. I’m actually the type of person that hates to buy things online because you never know the quality of the item until it shows up on your doorstep.
